Learning how to be single-minded - Daily Grain

🌾 There are many different expressions in the Bible instructing believers to walk with singleness of mind, singleness of eye or singleness of heart.  Hebrews 12:13 commands, "Make straight paths for your feet."  Making straight paths for your feet is walking in righteousness at all times - continually. To always walk in righteousness is to always please the Lord.  To always please the Lord we must constantly remember to please Him with our thoughts, words and deeds.  We must refrain from sin and engage in those things that are good, edifying, honorable and profitable for others.

Walking with singleness of mind and heart is being intent on serving and pleasing only God.  He is number one in your life, in your heart and in your mind.   You must make Him number one in your actions.  Psalm 106:3 says, "How blessed are those who practice righteousness at all times."

So do not deprive yourself of the good life with the free gift of eternal life that comes from living a godly life.  It is the life Jesus Christ lived, and He came to show us how easy and pleasant it is.  You will soon be a new you, if to His Ways you remain true.

And make straight paths for your feet, so that the limb which is lame may not be put out of joint, but rather be healed.

Hebrews 12:13

So that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.

Colossians 1:10

This is a trustworthy statement; and concerning these things I want you to speak confidently, so that those who have believed God will be careful to engage in good deeds. These things are good and profitable for men.

Titus 3:8

No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.

Matthew 6:24

How blessed are those who keep justice, who practice righteousness at all times!

Psalm 106:3

For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.

Matthew 11:30
