How Do You Deny Christ?

Jesus Christ came to show us the Way to live daily to please the Father. He said His way is easy and pleasant, and not hard (Matt. 11:30; 1 John 5:3). To live this Way, we are to walk as He walked, which means we are to live as He lived. Then we abide in His love (1 John 2:6; John 15:7-9). We are to practice righteousness daily to please the Father in everything we do (1 John 2:29; 3:7, 10, 17-18). We are commanded to do all the good we do in the name of Jesus Christ for the glory of the Father (Col. 3:17).

Paul understood what Christ wanted. That is why He told ministers to tell those who have believed in God to be careful to engage in good works (Titus 3:8). Jesus was zealous for good works to please God and this is what He wants us to do.

There are those who profess what Jesus Christ preached but see no need for works of any kind in regard to the overcoming process. These are a people who profess to know God but are still living disobedient and detestable lives. They do not know the truth about how to overcome evil by doing good works daily for the glory of the Father in heaven (Psalm 37:27; Rom. 12:21).

How do you deny Christ? By not getting involved in a life of good works for God’s glory (Titus 1:16; Matt. 5:16). You cannot expect to have Christ formed in you and living in your heart unless you imitate Christ continually by serving others with love (1 Cor. 11:1). Then, and only then, will the Father reveal His Son in you (Gal. 4:19).

God bless those who begin to live this Way without delay.
