- Inner Strength | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Inner Strength When we read about early disciples of Jesus Christ and the trials and tortures they went through, we realize they had to have inner strength to endure to the end. What is this mysterious inner strength and where does it come from? Most importantly, how do we obtain it? We must look into God’s word to find out how to have inner strength. Philippians 3:3 says, "For we are of the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh." What is being said here? The Apostle Paul is saying that when we serve God and worship Him by being servants of others on His behalf, we are of the true faith of Jesus Christ (Rom. 12:1-21; 6:13; 8:12-13; Gal. 5:16; Matt. 23:11). We give Jesus Christ the credit and the glory and put no confidence in the flesh (Col. 3:17; Phil. 3:3). In other words, we do not trust in our strength but in the strength God gives to us when we put our faith in Him. First Peter 4:11 says the person who is serving God by serving others and making all his ways pleasing to Him should do so by the strength God supplies, so that in all things, God may be glorified through Jesus Christ (Matt. 5:16). We are to cast all our anxieties, our troubled thoughts, our problems and our frustrations on God, and He will take them from us (1 Peter 5:7). There is no more condemnation for us (feeling bad about ourselves or our shortcomings) when we are living the way Jesus Christ showed us to live daily (Rom. 8:1; 1 John 3:18-21). In plain language, how can we build inner strength? 1. Inner strength comes from living for God daily and no longer for self (which is living to the flesh). 2. Inner strength comes from living the life of Jesus Christ in our bodies and doing the deeds that Jesus, our example, did (Rev. 2:26). 3. Inner strength comes from perfecting our faith by doing righteous works, as Abraham did (James 2:21-23). 4. Inner strength comes from trusting in God daily for our daily needs. 5. Inner strength comes from passing our tests and trials, and enduring the sufferings God brings upon us to perfect our faith (Heb. 12:3-11; 1 Peter 2:24; 4:1, 12-13, 18-19; 5:10; Heb. 5:8-9; Phil. 4:6). How many people cast all their anxieties, troubles and woes on Jesus Christ, and experience the inner strength that comes from God by doing so (1 Peter 5:7)? Remember, God does not hear sinners, but only those who show Him respect by doing His Will daily on this earth as it is being done in heaven (John 9:31; Matt. 6:10; 7:21; 12:50; 1 John 2:17, 29; 3:7; 1 Peter 2:15; 4:2-6; Luke 8:21; Eph. 5:17; Rom. 12:2). So let’s live for God and then trust in Him for the inner strength that cannot fail. - God's Royal Insurance Policy | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search God's Royal Insurance Policy Being a servant of God has so many benefits that it truly is a royal insurance policy. God’s royal insurance policy protects you from famine, disease and war (Psalm 33:19; 91:3, 5-7; 103:3; Prov. 10:3). It will lead you out of all your troubles (Job 5:20-27; Prov. 11:8; 12:13, 21). All things in life turn out for good for those who are the policyholders (Rom. 8:28). If someone came to your door and offered such a policy, and you had faith in the company, it would be the easiest policy in the world to sell (Acts 2:40). This policy gives you wisdom just for the asking, spiritual power just for the asking, and answered prayer, when in accordance with the Will of the policy (James 1:5; 1 John 3:22; John 9:31; 15:7, 16; 16:24; Matt. 21:22). It guarantees you abundance, joy, peace and love, as Abraham had (John 10:10; 17:13; Gen. 24:1; 25:8). It guarantees you obedient children who do not go astray when they are older (Prov. 22:6) when you follow the royal advice of Proverbs 29:15 and 17. It even guarantees you power to get wealth the right way—God’s Way (Prov. 10:22; 13:21). God wants you to partake in this royal insurance policy, but you must remain faithful to the premium by living Christ’s Way of life. Jesus Christ qualified you to be a policyholder regardless of your present condition, but you must not stay in your present condition. You must die to self and deny your old way of life daily (1 Cor. 15:31; Luke 9:23). Instead, you must live Christ’s new Way of life (Heb. 10:20; Matt. 21:32). This is done by practicing righteousness, good deeds and good works to please and glorify the Father (1 John 2:29; Gal. 6:9; John 10:25, 32, 37-38; 14:12; Matt. 5:16). You must do all that you do and say in Christ’s name as a happy slave of Christ (Col. 3:17; Eph. 6:6; Rom. 6:18-19). Overcome your nature by doing good, being zealous, persevering in good works and keeping Christ’s deeds, which are all righteous—God’s righteousness (1 Peter 3:13; Rom. 12:21; 2:7; 10:3; Luke 21:19; Rev. 2:26; Prov. 19:17). You must strive until God creates in you a new nature, establishes you, and puts your nature under your heel (Luke 13:24; Prov. 22:9; 1 Peter 5:10; Heb. 10:36; Rom. 16:20). Jesus Christ’s Way is easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30). Children would have no problem with it (Matt. 19:14; 18:4). But once you start, don’t look back; just keep going straight forward into the good life, which is the godly life that God has been waiting for many to live (Luke 17:31; 1 Tim. 4:7; Eph. 5:1; 1 Cor. 11:1; Titus 1:1). - It's So Simple: A Woman to Woman Article | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search It's So Simple: A Woman to Woman Article It’s so simple, yet people simply don’t see it. It’s as simple as what I ask of my children each day. All I ask is that they act kindly toward others—doing whatever they can to make others happy, especially grandparents or any other elderly people they see or have over to their home. Yes, this simple way is God’s Way of life. We ask our children to use good words towards each other. And when evil thoughts come into their minds, we tell them to just get rid of them by thinking of something good to do—and then doing it for God. If any child visits our home and they are undisciplined, no matter what their problem, we ask our children to be kind and show them a good time. It’s such a beautiful way to live. Our children have actually influenced other children to be respectful to their parents. They have helped other children to clean up their mouth and to stop swearing. They have shown others how to keep their rooms neat and help their mother clean the rest of the house. Matthew 5:16 says, “Let your light so shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” Only those who do good are of God (3 John 11). We are the children of God. God is our Father, and we show Him respect daily by continually doing what is right in His sight (1 John 3:22). Will you be that child I described above? Will you glorify your Father in heaven every moment of every day? Life is simply wonderful when we live this simple, beautiful Way of life. We become precious to God when we serve Him continually in this wonderful Way called “the Way of righteousness” (Matt. 21:32; 2 Peter 2:21). - How Father's Can Do God's Will | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search How Father's Can Do God's Will God wants to bless families, but He cannot unless the family members allow Him to bless them by being obedient to His Ways. In God’s plan for marriage, husbands are the leaders, providers and disciplinarians; while wives are the helpers, encouragers and homemakers (Eph. 5:22-23; Prov. 22:6; 31:10-31; Heb. 12:9; Gen. 2:18). God chose Abraham because He knew he would bring up his children and the rest of the household in the Ways of the Lord. He would encourage them to practice righteousness and honesty in all their dealings with their fellow man, and he would be a godly example himself (Gen. 18:19). Abraham brought up his children with discipline and instructed them in the Ways of the Lord. He was careful not to over-discipline his children so as to discourage them from living God’s Way (Eph. 6:4; Col. 3:21). Children learn respect for their parents through balanced discipline and love. "For what son is there whom his father does not discipline?" God’s word says (Heb. 12:7). "Our fathers disciplined us and we respected them" (Heb. 12:9). Yes, the father who neglects discipline despises himself (Prov. 15:32). God knows that foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child, but loving, godly discipline will remove it far from him (1 Cor. 16:14; Prov. 22:15; 29:15, 17, 19; 19:18). Fathers, there is no substitute for discipline (Prov. 13:24). God believes in discipline done in wisdom and in love, never in anger (Jer. 10:24). There are also other forms of discipline you can use, such as depriving disobedient children of some of their freedom. Be sure to continually seek the Lord for wisdom. Wives who are living to please the Lord are commanded to be subject to their husbands. Help and encourage your husband to obey the Lord and do not discourage him when he disciplines the children. Do not hinder him, as Eve hindered her husband (Col. 3:18; 1 Cor. 11:8-9; 1 Tim. 2:14). Husbands, your wives cannot be in subjection to you until you are in subjection to God and have fulfilled your rightful duties to the Lord by being the loving master of your own household. Let us be prepared to meet the Lord should He return shortly (Luke 1:17). Let us stop depriving ourselves of happiness because we rebel against God’s Ways. After all, God’s Ways are all good for us (1 Cor. 7:3-5). PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

- Ready Set Go! | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Ready Set Go! If you are doing God's Will on this earth, as it is being done in heaven, then the Lord has something special to say to you: Remember what you have received and heard. Keep it, obey it and repent, by putting My words into practice. If you will not wake up and repent, I will come like a thief and you will not know at what hour I will come to you (Rev. 3:3 NASB & AMP). Yes, God is talking to all of us who are overcoming our evil natures by keeping Jesus Christ’s deeds. He is reminding His followers to practice the deeds He did as an example, and to endure until He returns (Rev. 2:26). If we who are His true servants zealously continue to practice being servants of others until God’s Will begins to come from our hearts, we will all be ready (Matt. 5:20; Eph. 6:6). True followers of Jesus Christ are continually admonished not to become weary in a life of doing good (2 Thess. 3:13). We are to pray always that we will be found worthy to escape all those things which are shortly coming upon this world. We are to pray that we will be counted worthy to survive and stand before Jesus Christ physically when He returns (Luke 21:36). These are solemn warnings to believers which should be heeded. Many people will wait until what they feel is the last minute. Then they plan to live for God by being a servant to others. They feel they’re too busy to take Jesus Christ’s words seriously and take action in their lives now. As a result, that day will come upon them as a trap and it will be too late (Luke 21:34). I feel those who perished in the time of Noah had this very same attitude, don’t you? We know that Jesus will return to take His people to a place of safety. He will come suddenly, like a thief, so we need to prepare to be ready—all set to go. How can we be ready? 1. We should continually live the repentant life by being servants of others (Matt. 23:11). 2. We must study God’s word daily, looking for Scriptures that pertain to the righteous, and then fulfill those Scriptures within our lives. Some examples are Luke 14:13; 6:35; James 2:14-16 and Luke 3:10-14. 3. We are to pray for others always and for our own needs also (1 Thess. 5:17). 4. We should commit everything to God, from brushing our teeth for God first thing in the morning to our prayers just before we retire (Col. 3:17). 5. We should keep the Lord always on our minds, and keep our thoughts and deeds pleasing to Him in all respects (Phil. 4:8; Isa. 26:3). Zealous, wholehearted, steadfast, persevering—these words describe a true disciple who is totally committed to God. They describe one who has an honest and good heart. This type of person is bearing godly fruit. He is building godly righteous character that not only has promise for this life, but also the life to come (Luke 8:15; Rev. 3:10; Col. 1:10; 1 Cor. 9:24-27; 1 Tim. 4:8; 2 Tim. 2:5-6). Remember always, winners never quit and quitters never win. Let’s be all ready and set to go, so that when the Lord comes as a thief, we will be ready—set to go with Him.` PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

- Perfect: A Woman to Woman Article | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Perfect: A Woman to Woman Article Most every girl dreams of the “perfect life.” She dreams of that special, awesome day when she’ll walk down the aisle to wed the man of her dreams and when she’ll have her own little house to take care of. As she dreams of her perfect house with her perfect man, she tends to forget that she must become the perfect woman. Isn’t this true? Being the perfect woman is very easy. The perfect woman of God puts God first by studying her Bible, praying and looking for opportunities to serve God, and continually doing good for God each day - doing all she does, even the most mundane tasks, for the glory of God. She is prepared to serve others at anytime and prays for others continually. Perfect means spiritually mature, stable, steadfast and immovable—continually serving God. Her life is centered around helping others to please God. She is a shining light in a dark world (Matt. 5:16). When she gives a lunch or party, she includes those who cannot pay her back—the blind, lowly, handicapped, orphans or widows (Luke 14:13-14). Proverbs 31:10-31 describes the perfect godly woman and Jesus Christ says to be perfect, as our heavenly Father is perfect (Matt. 5:48). When a woman strives to be perfect, she is a jewel to God and to her husband; in fact, she is worth far more than jewels, according to Proverbs 31:10. The godly woman represents strength and dignity, and she never points her finger or speaks wickedness about anyone (Prov. 31:25; Is. 58:9). When she opens her mouth she is kind, and uses wisdom, in her speech. She is caring, loving, compassionate and understanding, teaching God’s Ways of charity to others. She takes good care of her home and sees that it is clean. She is not lazy (Prov. 31:27). Her children love her and have only good to say about her (Prov. 31:28). She is like Dorcas—continually abounding with deeds of kindness and charity (Acts 9:36). “Charm is deceitful; beauty is vain; but a woman who fears (obeys) the Lord, she shall be praised” (Prov. 31:30). Study Proverbs 31:10-31. It is one of the greatest sets of Scriptures in the Bible because it offers guidelines on how to be a godly woman. We want to be aware of what God expects of a godly woman, so we can please Him in all our ways and be a perfect woman of God. - Have You Been Deceived? | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Have You Been Deceived? Jesus warns all His followers in the last days to be careful and not be religiously misled (Matt. 24:5, 24; Luke 21:8). How will you know, and how can you be sure when you are being deceived? What does God’s word say? Titus 2:14 says that those who follow Jesus Christ are purified and are zealous for good deeds. Titus 2:7 says in all things show yourself to be an example of good deeds. The apostle Paul told his ministers to constantly tell those who have believed in God to be careful to engage in good works for God’s glory (Titus 3:8). Halley’s Bible Handbook says in regard to the book of Titus; “The grand emphasis of this Epistle (book) is “Good Works.” Not that we are saved by good works, but by His mercy (3:5), and justified by His Grace (3:7). But because of this we are under strict obligation to be “zealous for good works” (2:14); and “an example of good works” (2:7); “ready unto every good work” (3:1); “be careful to maintain good works” (3:8) maintain good works for necessary uses” (3:14). It goes on to say that one of the indictments of false teachers was that they were “unto every good work reprobates” which means they express their disapproval of good works and are not of God’s elect, if you look up the word reprobate. It then references Titus 1:16; “They profess to know God but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good deed.” Could anything be more clear? If Satan can confuse the issue of good works, a confused Christian will have none and, as a result, he will continue living an unrepentant life. He will not be imitating the way God lives (Eph. 5:1). He will not be keeping God’s Will on earth, which is good works, as it is being kept in heaven (Matt. 6:10). Millions of self-proclaimed Christians are deceived and live disobedient, detestable lives before God because they remain worthless for good works for God’s glory (Titus 1:16). They are denying God! This is the broad way which the majority of Christians are treading down (Matt. 7:13). What, then, is the narrow Way that leads to eternal life which very few are finding (Matt. 7:14)? If you know that Jesus Christ lived righteously and did acts of righteousness continually like Dorcas (Acts 9:36), you know that every true believer who continually practices righteousness daily as Jesus did will be born of Him (1 John 2:29). Does this fact hit you like a hammer (Jer. 23:29)? You must daily imitate Christ to be like Christ, to clothe yourself with Christ and to have His nature formed in you (Gal. 4:19). Jesus Christ cannot be formed in you unless you do the things Jesus told you to do (Luke 6:46-48). Countless numbers of professing Christians have been told an incomplete gospel on the vital subject of works, and, as a result, they have none. If Jesus was zealous for good works for God’s glory—and He was—shouldn’t people imitate Him (1 Cor. 11:1)? The apostle Peter said, for as long as you practice these things you will never stumble (2 Peter 1:10). What was he talking about? Let’s read it and know that there is something to do for Jesus Christ if we are to be saved. Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours: Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. Through these He has given us His very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities and they are increasing in measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins. Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you practice these things, you will never fail, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:1-11). The narrow Way, then, is perfecting holiness in the Lord by imitating Jesus daily and putting His words into daily practice (John 8:51). The broad way is to neglect these teachings. False ministers practice lawlessness (Matt. 7:22-23), while Jesus’ true ministers continually practice righteousness, preach and teach righteousness, and live the Way that Jesus lived. He lived this Way to give us an example to follow, so we should do likewise. It is very clear, the saved are the sheep (Matt. 25:33-40). They are the daily doers of God’s word (James 1:22). They serve others continually for the glory of God (Matt. 23:11; Mark 9:35). They are the ones who glorify God daily by living a life of good works as Jesus told us all to do. This is how they let their lights shine before others (Matt. 5:16). Satan hates good works done for God’s glory. He wants people to stay worthless for good works like him and his ministers who preach that message (Titus 1:16). He doesn’t want anyone to overcome evil (Satan) by continually doing good for God. Anyone who does overcome is imitating Jesus Christ and Satan loses another subject in his kingdom (Psalm 37:27; 2 Peter 1:10-11; Rom. 12:21). Now you can see the difference between the broad way and the narrow way, so turn the right way. Start living the right way and become zealous for serving and loving others as Jesus did for God. This is the righteous Way that Jesus came to show us. PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International
- The Positive Gospel | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search The Positive Gospel The word of God contains instructions concerning things true disciples of Jesus Christ are to do. If we do these things, God promises to pour out blessings on us until they overflow (Mal. 3:10). What are some of the things we are instructed to do? We are commanded by Jesus Christ and God the Father to: 1) Consider our old self dead (Rom. 6:4,11). 2) Cast all our anxieties on Christ. That means our cares, worries, doubts and troubles (1 Peter 5:7-9; Matt 11:28-29). 3) Seek peace and pursue it constantly (1 Peter 3:11). 4) Think on things that are beautiful and lovely (Phil. 4:8). 5) Keep our eyes from seeing violence (Psalm 11:5). 6) Say only what is uplifting, building up one another and never tearing down (1 Peter 4:11). 7) No longer use our mouths for both good and evil, but only for good, as we strive to do only God's Will in our daily lives (Psalm 34:13-14; Col. 3:17; Luke 13:24). 8) Commit our jobs to the Lord and work for our employers as if we were working for the Lord (Eph. 6:5-9). We are to do this even more so if our employers are mean or rude, as it pleases the Lord when we suffer for the sake of righteousness. We have been called for such suffering because it builds godly character (1 Peter 2:18-19; 3:16). 9) Think God's thoughts and stop thinking our own thoughts (Is. 55:8; Prov. 12:5). 10) Speak God's words, not our own words (1 Peter 4:11). 11) Live only to the Spirit and thus put to death the deeds of the flesh. We are not to live our lives for self any longer (Rom. 15:3). Instead, we are to imitate God's Way of life in our mortal bodies (Eph. 5:1). This is to prepare us for the glorified body we are destined to receive at the coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (Rom. 8:13; Gal. 5:16, 19-25; 6:7-9). Jesus Christ came here to show those who would repent how to turn from their wicked ways so that He could bless them (Acts 3:26). All it involves is practicing to be a servant of others daily, until we come out of a life of selfishness and inwardness. This is the positive gospel that Jesus Christ came to show us (Matt. 20:26-28; 23:11; Mark 9:35; 10:43-45; Rom. 15:2-3; 1 Cor. 10:24). If we live by these principles, our lives will be positively blessed, joyful and complete! - Shop Til' You Drop - A Woman to Woman Article | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Shop Til' You Drop - A Woman to Woman Article “Shop ’til you drop” is a famous saying said by many. When we “hit the mall,” so to speak, we are zealous to look through the stores. The excitement of finding a good deal runs through our blood. We won’t stop until we find what we need or want. We are determined, and many times we literally “shop ’til we drop!” Are we this zealous about our spiritual life? Instead of “hitting the mall,” let’s hit our Bibles and shop the Scriptures. All we need and want from this life is in God’s word. The key to being happy and blessed is right there in His word, and if we have an open mind, this key can be ours. Jesus says His Way is easy and light (Matt. 11:30). Wow! That’s just what we needed to hear. There is no difficulty in understanding His Way if it is easy and light. Now, what do we do next? We are to imitate Jesus Christ, according to 1 Corinthians 11:1 and Ephesians 5:1. How do we do this? We walk like Him and talk like Him! Jesus Christ continually walked and talked a special Way that pleased His heavenly Father (1 Thess. 4:1). He was obedient to the Father by living to please Him every day. Just as Jesus learned obedience, so must we (Heb. 5:8). Obedience is action—doing what’s right and doing good towards others, especially the less fortunate (James 1:27; Luke 14:13). When I meet a widow, my heart leaps for joy. I tell myself, “This is a golden opportunity to do God’s Will.” The elderly and widows are a very important part of my life. I love serving them and making them happy for the Lord. However, this is only one phase of God’s Ways and Will. There are many kinds of people we can serve to please God: the orphan, the needy, the poor, the crippled, the deaf, the blind, the stranger and we must not forget our families. By our love and service, God may call one of these precious ones to His beautiful Way of life. Let’s shop the Scriptures and find out what kind of spiritual clothing God wants us to wear daily. We are to clothe ourselves with Christ by serving others continually (Job 29:14-16). Job was eyes to the blind, feet to the lame and a father to the needy. He clothed himself with righteousness by doing good continually. It’s time we do what’s right and clothe ourselves with righteousness. Let’s be sure to walk the way Jesus walked and talk the way Jesus talked. It’s time to be an example of kindness and goodness always, as Jesus Christ was, and prove to the Lord that we want to be His friends, rather than friends of this world (James 2:23). - Seeking Peace & Pursuing It | WHOLE WHEAT
Seeking Peace & Pursuing It Disciples of Jesus Christ must seek peace and pursue it earnestly in order to enter the peace of Christ. The Bible says we are to think about whatever is good, peaceful and of good report. If all you said was continually a blessing to the hearer, and you blessed those who cursed you, and if all the words that came out of your mouth were as the words of God, and all the thoughts you thought were happy thoughts, this would be most pleasing to the Lord. We can change ourselves with God’s help! Do not be concerned about the way the world is going. Rather, be concerned about the way you are going. Make sure it is pleasing to the Lord. Remember, we have God’s protection in all things when we are living to please only Him. He must turn away from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it. 1 Peter 3:11 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. 9 The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:8-9 Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear. Ephesians 4:29 Say to the righteous that it will go well with them, for they will eat the fruit of their actions. - "You go to heaven when you die." | WHOLE WHEAT
"You go to heaven when you die." MISCONCEPTION: You go to heaven or hell when you die. THE TRUTH IS: God’s word says your body returns to dust and your soul sleeps. When Jesus resurrects all who are in their graves, only those who had good works will come to a resurrection of eternal life (John 5:29). Doesn’t it seem weird that the world teaches salvation cannot be earned by good works, discouraging the many from having any good works by this false incomplete teaching, when Jesus will give eternal life only to those who had good works? King David knew he would be sleeping in the grave (Psalm 17:15). Jesus’ disciples knew that King David did not ascend to heaven when he died (Acts 2:34). They knew that David and his grave were still there in the ground to that day (Acts 2:29). In the oldest book in the Bible, the book of Job, it states, “So a man lies down and does not rise until the heavens be no more. The dead will not awake or be aroused from their sleep” (Job 14:12). Job knew the Lord would call him from his grave (Job 14:14), just like Jesus said He would (John 5:28-29). All you need do is look up “sleep” in a Bible concordance to find that the soul sleeps, and those who teach differently are not teaching the biblical truth on death. So you don’t go to heaven when you die. That’s just another pagan lie. Jesus said Himself that no man has ascended to heaven except Himself (John 3:13). Was He lying? Jesus is the only one at this time who has immortality (1 Tim. 6:16). You must admit, if the pagan teaching that you go to heaven when you die was true, then why would we need a resurrection? Everyone would be immortal already, wouldn’t they? You now have read the truth from God’s word. Many have been deceived, but now you know the truth from God’s word. - How Do We Walk in the Spirit? | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search How Do We Walk in the Spirit? It is common for people to be confused by the expression, "Walk in the Spirit." Let us analyze what it means to walk in the Spirit. The Bible says that if we live to the flesh, we will die (Rom. 8:13). Living to the flesh is practicing the evil deeds of the flesh (Gal. 5:19-21; Matt. 15:19; Rev. 21:8). When we are baptized, we agree not to live in the flesh or live for self any longer, but to repent and start living for God by living to the Spirit. God is that Spirit, and He wants to be worshiped in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). If we perform only God’s Will in our daily walk with God, we will not carry out the desires of the flesh (Gal. 5:16). If we carry out the desires of the flesh, that is sin (1 Peter 4:1-2). But if we keep God’s Will, we overcome evil by doing good works (Rom. 12:21). If we are zealous for good works, we leave no room for our old selfish will to operate (1 Peter 3:13). Thus, we are putting to death the sinful deeds of the body by living to the Spirit, which is living for God (Rom. 8:13). God wants us to consider ourselves as dead to sin but alive to righteousness, by presenting our bodies as slaves to righteousness daily (Rom. 6:11; 1 John 3:7). We prove whose side we are on when we live as slaves to Jesus Christ (1 John 3:10). We continue doing this until we pass the hypocritical stage of the Pharisees and begin doing the Will of God gladly from the heart (Matt. 5:20; Eph. 6:6). God is glorified by good works (Matt. 5:16). We are admonished to be sure to engage in good works and to learn righteousness because this is how we walk in the Spirit (Titus 3:8, 14). Salvation is a free gift that cannot be earned, but it only goes to those who are repentant and live to serve others for the glory of God. Remember always, you were saved to serve. - How to Overcome Anxiety | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search How to Overcome Anxiety If you are a disciple of Jesus Christ and you are now living for God every day by imitating the Father and the Son on a daily basis, then you are keeping the commandments of Jesus Christ and you are performing the Will of God (Eph. 5:1; 1 Cor. 11:1; 1 John 2:6, 17; Matt. 7:21; 12:50; 1 Peter 4:2; John 7:17). You are keeping Christ's works and acting on His words by being careful to engage in good works (John 14:12; 12:47; Luke 6:47; 8:21; 11:28; Titus 3:8). You are not to be foolish, but understand what the Will of God is and then do it from the heart (Eph. 5:17; 6:6). Christ commands us to cast our anxieties on Him (1 Peter 5:7). He says we are to practice thinking only what is beautiful and peaceful. We are to seek peace and pursue it earnestly and turn away from evil by doing good for Him daily (1 Peter 3:11; Rom. 12:21). This is the Will of God (Rom. 12:2). We are to clean up our speech, clean up our thoughts and clean up our actions by practicing righteousness daily to glorify God (1 Peter 4:11; Eph. 4:29; 5:10; Matt. 5:16; 1 John 2:29; 3:7). We are to pray to God for all our needs and wants, as well as for the needs and wants of others. Then, we are to have confidence that we will receive what we have asked of God in our prayers because we are living to please Him daily (John 15:16; 16:23-24; 1 John 3:22). Jesus Christ wants us to enter the good life that He has waiting for us (John 10:10). We enter this good life when we start doing good for others for the glory of God. This is how Christ is formed in us and we become new creations (Gal. 4:19; 6:15; Col. 1:28; 2 Cor. 13:9, 11). Our anxieties begin to disappear when we enter this good life and rest from all our works of the flesh (Heb. 4:10). Keep in mind that Jesus' Ways are easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30). That is why God is calling the unwise, the foolish, the sinners, the lowly and the simple-minded (1 Cor. 1:26-28). Satan would like you to think this is real hard because he wants you to continue to be held captive by him, doing his will instead of God's Will (2 Tim. 2:26; Matt. 6:10). Those who are living for God are to commit all their thoughts, words and deeds to God until their new heart is completed. So, next time you are anxious about something, give it to God so you won't have to have a bad day. Satan wants you to have a bad day so he can work on you instead of letting God work with you, as you live to please Him daily. - Forcing a Test | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Forcing a Test The devil tempted Jesus to jump down from a pinnacle, saying, "Is it not written that God will give His angels charge over You that You do not hurt Yourself?" Jesus answered, "It is also written, ‘You shall not force a test on God’" (Matt. 4:5-7). The New Covenant protects true servants of God from accidental ingestion of poison and from poisonous snake bites (Mark 16:18). But putting God to the test by willingly drinking poison or allowing yourself to be bitten by poisonous snakes would indeed be forcing a test on God. From time to time, certain religions have practiced these things, but they usually become extinct after a time! The puffer fish, caught off the coast of Japan, is served in fine Japanese restaurants as a delicacy. This fish at times contains a virulent poison that cannot be detected until after the person who eats it dies. People who order puffer fish realize they are taking a chance, but they continue to eat it anyway. When disciples of Jesus Christ eat what they know is not good for them to eat, they are indeed forcing a test on God. When believers smoke marijuana or cigarettes, which they know are unhealthful, they are forcing a test on God. When a person goes out on a limb and charges goods and services he cannot afford, saying, "I did it in faith that God would provide," he is forcing a test on God. Even many churches do the same thing by expanding their buildings in so-called faith and forcing a test on God because they do not have funds available to pay the bills. The Bible says owe money to no man (Rom. 13:8). This principle should be adhered to as much as possible. People need houses and cars, and in our modern society, it is nearly impossible to pay cash for such expensive items. However, people would have a lot less trouble if they did not run up bills, but would live within their means. Take time right now to examine your motives and determine if you are forcing a test on God in any areas of your life (Jer. 5:25). Are you going out on a spiritual limb, knowing it will not hold you, and trusting God to make sure the limb does not break? Are you spending money you do not have, hoping God will give you the money to pay your debts? Think, think, think! Then act wisely, with God’s wisdom and not your own (Matt. 6:33; Prov. 3:5-6; Psalm 21:2). - Proof That Jesus is God the Father | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Proof That Jesus is God the Father There is much confusion today about who Jesus Christ was. When you pull all the Scriptures together on the subject, the confusion is over. Keep in mind that there is only one God or One Lord. God the Father is a spirit (John 4:24). He does not have flesh and bones (Luke 24:39). Now, Jesus cannot lie, and He said no one, absolutely no one, has seen God the Father at any time (Titus 1:2; Heb. 6:18). But Jesus, who is in the bosom of the Father, has explained Him (John 1:18). God’s word says Jesus Christ is the only one who possesses immorality in heaven at this time (1 Tim. 6:15-16). He is the King immortal, invisible, the only God (John 1:10; Eph. 3:9; Rev. 4:11; 10:6; Col. 1:15-16; Heb. 1:10, 2; 1 Tim. 1:17; John 8:19). The Bible says God gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist (Rom. 4:17). We know He was in the beginning with God, by reading John 1:1-5, and that everything came into being through Jesus Christ (Col. 1:16-17). The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone, I will make a helper for him.” Jesus Christ was God’s helper and Jesus said that once He was no longer here in the flesh, the Holy Spirit would be that helper (Heb. 1:2; John 1:10; Eph. 3:8-9; Col. 1:16-17; Ps. 30:10; 54:4; John 14:16, 26; 15:26; 16:7). Yes, God the Father made for Himself a vehicle in which He could walk, and through which He could talk and create things. He made Himself a body in His own likeness, His own image (Gen. 1:26-27). “Behold I send My messenger before your face who will prepare your way, the voice of one crying in the wilderness. Make ready the Way of the Lord, make His paths straight” (Mark 1:2-3). The Lord who talked to Moses was Jesus Christ (Ex. 32:31-33; 33:11, 18-20). The Rock which followed Moses and the children of Israel was Jesus Christ, the Messiah (1 Cor. 10:4). The Lord Jesus appeared to Gideon (Judg. 6:14). Manoah and his wife saw the Lord and thought they would die because they knew they had seen God face to face (Judg. 6:22; 13:22). King David called Jesus Lord (Luke 20:44). Doubting Thomas called Jesus Christ God, and as an Israelite, he knew there is but one God. Note: Jesus did not correct him for calling Him God (John 20:28). Jesus told Philip, if you know Me you know My Father also, so now you have seen the Father by looking at me (John 14:7). Philip answered, “Lord, show us the Father.” Jesus said to Philip, have I been with you so long, and you don’t know who I am yet? If you’ve seen me, you’ve seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’ (John 14:8-9)? Yes, Jesus is the Father. Jesus is the mortal body He used while on this earth. Jesus said, “I and the Father are one and the same” and said He was the God of Israel (John 10:30-33). Jesus was clearly saying He was the one God of Israel and that is why the Jews wanted to stone Him (John 10:33). He said He was the I AM (YHWH) of the Old Testament (Ex. 3:14; John 8:58). The Father is Jesus Christ the righteous (1 John 2:1; 5:1). Jesus Christ is God the Father. Jesus’ disciples fell down and worshiped Him after He rose from the dead (Matt. 28:9, 17). Jesus is the resurrection power (John 5:25-29; Ezek. 37:5; Job 12:10). The God of Israel with a loud voice is Jesus (Ezek. 43:2). When Jesus asked Peter who he was, it was revealed to the him that Jesus is Christ (Matt. 16:16-17). In order to understand who Jesus is, it must be revealed to you. Jesus only discloses Himself to those who obey Him and put His words into practice daily (John 14:21). So, if you truly desire to know and see God, you must obey His son, Jesus Christ (John 3:36). God operates through the Son in all capacities. Jesus Christ was born of flesh. He overcame the flesh by learning obedience (Heb. 5:8). He died mortally and was raised immortal. He is the first born into immortality of all that was created (Col. 1:15). In Revelation 4:11, Jesus is called our Lord and our God. Now, if the Father is indeed the Son, then the Son could do nothing unless the Father does it. Whatever the Father does, the Son does. Whatever the Father says, the Son says because the Father is in the Son and the Son is in the Father (John 5:19-20). If the Father raises the dead and gives them life, then the Son would do the same (John 5:21). Now, at the same time the Spirit of the Father was in Jesus, it was also in heaven. The Spirit of the Father was in all creation in the heavens and in the earth, whether visible or invisible. God the Father has always operated through His Son on this earth. But after Jesus returns and He is King over all the earth, the Lord will be known only by one name instead of two (Zech. 14:9 KJV). Remember always, there is only one God (Zech. 14:9; 1 Cor. 8:4). God’s mystery is Christ Himself (Col. 2:2). Jesus is the image, or the manifestation of the one invisible God (Col. 1:15). The demons, as well as the followers of Jesus Christ, know that God is one (James 2:19). He is the only Sovereign, King of kings and Lord of lords (1 Tim. 6:15). Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever (Heb. 13:8). One Lord, one faith, one baptism (Eph. 4:5). - Are You Being Called? | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Are You Being Called? God in heaven knew who we were before we came into this world. He also knew those He was going to call to Himself down through the ages. Those He was calling would be the first-born of many brethren (Rom. 8:29). God is drawing many people to Himself today—at the end of this age (John 6:44, 65). They are being called to be conformed to the image of His Son and have Jesus Christ’s nature formed in them (Gal. 4:19). These people will also be glorified if they become conformed to the image of God’s Son by overcoming their evil natures (Rom. 8:30). They must keep Jesus Christ’s works, which are easy and pleasant (John 14:12; Matt. 11:30; 1 John 5:3), and endure to the end to have a part in this holy calling (Rev. 2:25-26; Matt. 10:22; 24:13; Mark 13:13; 2 Tim. 2:12; 1:9). These people are God’s elect because they were predestined to be called by God at this time (Rom. 8:33). During Jesus’ ministry, He gave information about how to enter His kingdom to only a few, even though He spoke to many people (Matt. 13:11, 16-17; Mark 4:34; Luke 19:42; Eph. 3:4). The many will be called when the Lord returns (Is. 2:1-4). God knew us before we were formed in the womb and we existed before we came to this earth (Jer. 1:5). He knew those He would call before they were born. Look at Acts 2:47 (KJV) where it says, “And the Lord was adding to their number day by day all those who should be saved.” Now look at the words, “as many as the Lord our God shall call to Himself,” in Acts 2:39. Notice the words, “as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed,” in Acts 13:48. Understanding these Scriptures throws a new light on the gospel so that we may know more perfectly God’s plan for all of mankind. If you are not predestined to be called by God at this time, is there hope for you? Yes, there is hope, because if you seek God, you will be accepted or chosen by Him. The Bible says, if you seek the Lord, He will let you find Him (1 Chron. 28:9; 2 Chron. 15:2). God wants you to seek Him (Ezra 8:22; Psalm 9:10; Prov. 8:17; Luke 11:10). It doesn’t seem to dawn on people that we seek God by doing good to please Him (Psalm 14:1-3; 53:1-3; Rom. 3:10-12). When we pursue righteousness and begin to practice it for God, that is when we begin to repent and seek God (Matt. 6:33; Is. 51:1, 7). We seek the Lord, then, when we forsake our evil ways and begin to keep God’s Ways. All God’s Ways are righteous, so we must make all our ways righteous before Him (Mark 1:3; Prov. 11:28). We do this by practicing only His Ways on this earth, which is His Will (Is. 55:6-9; Matt. 6:10). We should follow the example of Dorcas, who was abounding with deeds of kindness and charity, which she continually did (Acts 9:36). She was a true disciple of Jesus Christ. Finally, you can be chosen by God through the prayers of someone who is a disciple of Jesus Christ. Many who know this message have prayed for their loved ones and God responded by calling them into the truth. Are you seeking God today? You should be. As it is says in Acts 17:27, that they would seek God, perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us (Amos 5:15; Zeph. 2:3; 2 Tim. 2:25). Seek God’s kingdom and you will be blessed beyond words (Luke 12:31). Understand God’s words and do not shun them, for they are the keys to life eternal (John 8:51; 12:47-50). - Purity - A Woman to Woman Article | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Purity - A Woman to Woman Article God frequently tests me to see how I will react to persecution. He allows Satan to orchestrate that persecution to see if I truly will love my enemies and those who persecute me. The most difficult persecution is when it comes from within your own home. Be ready! It will happen to test those God is calling and choosing. It is important to pray daily for God’s strength to handle any situation that may come up. Jesus lived to do good to everyone, even His enemies, and we should too (Matt. 5:44). Jesus Christ didn’t complain when they crucified Him. He said, “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34; 1 Peter 4:13). Every time my nature even begins to take offense, I say, “Father, forgive them; because they do not know what they are doing.” There isn’t time to be offended. Every precious minute must be happy and filled with thoughts of God’s Will and Ways, and God’s love for others. I must keep a pure heart and mind at all times. If I have done my best for God, I will say as Jesus said, “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God (Matt. 5:8). I will remember that to the pure, all things are pure (Titus 1:15). Let’s practice righteousness by practicing purity in our thoughts and actions. We must be strong with God’s strength and keep God’s Ways and God’s Will uppermost in our minds. If we keep clean hands and a pure heart, we will receive God’s blessings (Psalm 24:4-5). If we remain sensible and pure, the word of God will not be dishonored (Titus 2:5). Philippians 4:8 reminds us all inclusively, “Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything is worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things.” PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International
- Faith Without Works is Dead | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Faith Without Works is Dead Faith without works is dead (James 2:26). Sure enough, the faith that Jesus expects of His true followers includes good works, as He Himself gave us example to do (John 10:32). Jesus even stated that many of His followers would do greater works than He did (John 14:12). Remember also that God in heaven is glorified by good works done for repentance, spiritual growth and blessings, and this is how true disciples let their lights shine before others (Matt. 5:16). Doing good works is how we imitate Jesus Christ, and how we overcome evil. It is the key that allows Jesus to reside in us and live His life through us in the form of the Holy Spirit (John 14:23). God’s Will in heaven is good works of love and charity (Matt. 6:10). It’s certainly not bad works. A life of good works is the life true followers are called to live (Eph. 2:10). We are not saved by good works, but we repent by doing good for God in Jesus Christ’s name (Acts 26:20; Col. 3:17). No one can deny that. What kind of good works should we do? Keep up our personal appearance and hygiene for God so that we can be godly examples to others (Titus 2:7-8). Keep our homes or apartments neat and clean for God to be good examples to others when we entertain or show hospitality (Luke 14:13). Help or do good to an orphan or a widow for God (James 1:27). These are just some of the many examples we can find in the Bible. Practice doing good continually for others for God. Perform deeds of kindness, deeds of charity, and deeds of good will, like Jesus left us example to do. If we are constantly concerned about doing good for God, then we are leaving a life of evil behind (Job 1:1). By not giving ourselves a moment to do what is evil, we can overcome evil by doing good so we will abide forever (Psalm 37:27; Rom. 12:21; 1 Peter 3:10-11; 3 John 11). When we are zealous for good works, we purify our lives before God, and our faith is not dead but alive in righteousness (Titus 2:14; James 2:14, 26; Heb. 10:20; Rom. 6:18; 8:10; 1 Peter 2:24).
