  • Being Wholehearted in Your Walk | WHOLE WHEAT

Being Wholehearted in Your Walk Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for you are only passing this way once, and you might as well give it your best shot. This is the idea, stated in modern terminology, that Solomon was trying to get across in Ecclesiastes 9:10. It is also a godly trait. Our Creator wants us to be wholehearted, or have singleness of heart in everything we do. He wants us to be single-minded, with one purpose. So, whatever your hand finds to do, seriously, do it with your whole heart, knowing that it pleases your Creator when you put your brother’s welfare first, before your own. Do all that you do in the name of Christ, as all disciples of Jesus Christ are commanded to do. Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. Ephesians 6:5 (NIV) The eye is the lamp of the body; so then if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light. Matthew 6:22 Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father. • God’s Nature vs. Human Nature | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search God’s Nature vs. Human Nature Once it is understood what God’s nature is and that it is obtained by getting rid of human nature, we can begin to clearly understand the conversion process for true disciples of Jesus Christ. God’s method is very thorough and requires diligence on our part. God knows that what we diligently practice to be, we will eventually become. This process of having God’s nature formed in us begins when we start to practice righteousness for God on a daily basis. We cannot be persecuted for righteousness unless we practice righteousness, can we? Noah couldn’t be a preacher of righteousness unless he practiced righteousness (2 Peter 2:5; Gen. 6:9). Once we understand that God is righteous in regard to all His deeds, and that we are, by nature, evil and the most we can do is practice righteousness and allow God to do the perfecting, we can truly understand the phrase, “Righteous men made perfect” (Psalm 11:7; 33:5; 116:5; 129:4; 145:17; Heb. 12:23). God makes us perfect through suffering, the same as Jesus Christ, our example, was perfected through suffering (Heb. 5:8-9). God tries and tests His disciples until the old nature is crushed and the new nature is perfected (Rom. 16:20; Heb. 12:11; 1 Peter 5:10; 4:12). Human nature will not die without a fight. That’s why you must fight the good fight of faith, and have faith that God will implant His nature in you (1 Tim. 6:12; Psalm 4:5; Phil. 2:12). You will then be a new creature in Christ Jesus (Col. 1:28; 2 Cor. 5:17). When you have this new godly nature, then you will be righteous in all you do. You’ll be like Jesus because you will be keeping His deeds (Rev. 2:26). When all you do is righteousness, then all you’ll reap is blessings. You will be living the abundant life, full of joy and peace, that Jesus Christ came to show you (John 10:10; Acts 3:19, 26). You will understand that you were created to do good works and that the message of eternal life is righteousness (Eph. 2:10; John 8:51). Satan hates it when you practice righteousness for God’s glory because this is how he is put to death in your flesh (Matt. 5:16). Don’t let him stop you! Be zealous for good deeds and overcome your human nature (1 Peter 3:13; Rom. 12:21; Psalm 37:27). That’s how you resist Satan and have God’s nature formed in you (James 4:7; Eph. 6:11, 13). The God of peace and love, who is calling you to this holy Way of life, will soon crush Satan under your feet, and after you have suffered a little, God will perfect His nature in you (Rom. 16:20; 1 Peter 5:10; Gal. 4:19). Once we are involved in the godly process, God considers us perfect, blameless, holy, upright and sinless. Our sins are forgiven—past, present and future. They are not held against us, but are sealed in a bag (Job 14:16-17). God’s Ways are so wonderful that they are beyond human understanding; that’s why you need God’s Spirit to understand them. Start living for Him and ask Him for His Spirit, and He will give it to you (Acts 5:32; Luke 11:13).❑ PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • Interpretation or Revelation? | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Interpretation or Revelation? Many people interpret the Bible differently. As a result, we have thousands of different faiths believing in the same one God. But wait a minute! If the Bible is the truth of God, it can’t be an interpretation. A man once said that no one could know the truth because the truth is just an interpretation; how one interprets a Scripture could be far different from how someone else interprets the same Scripture. Is there any truth to the above statement? Read on and you’ll be shocked! First of all, God’s word, the Bible, says that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but rather men moved (directed) by the Holy Spirit spoke from God (2 Peter 1:20-21). Men who lived hundreds, and in some cases thousands, of years apart spoke the very same prophesies that God inspired them to repeat. Some examples of this are found in Revelation 6:15-17; Isaiah 2:19, 21, and Luke 23:30. Another good example of the same prophesies given to different people who lived in different times is found in Isaiah 2:2-4; Micah 4:1-3; Zechariah 14:4; and Acts 1:10-12. There are literally countless Scriptures in God’s word that prove God’s word is the truth and not merely interpretations of men. What is not known is that God’s word is a mystery that must be revealed to man by God (Gal. 1:11-12). The Apostle Paul who was a Pharisee, and whose father was a Pharisee, did not understand the very Scriptures he had studied all of his life. The Apostle Paul, after studying the Scriptures all his days, did not even know what the Will of God was. That also had to be revealed by God to him (Acts 22:14). People of the world, whom God is not calling to Himself, cannot understand God’s word because it is a veiled book to them. God has allowed Satan to keep their minds blinded, that they might not see the light of the gospel of God (2 Cor. 4:3-4). They are being held captive by Satan to do his will, which is ignore God daily (2 Tim. 2:26). Jesus told His disciples that to them only had the mysteries of God’s kingdom been revealed. He told them their eyes were blessed because many righteous men and ministers desired to know and understand what the apostles knew, but could not (Matt. 13:11, 16-17). Jesus said He was going to tell the world the truth, which has been hidden from the beginning of time, only He would tell the masses in a parable form so they could not understand (Matt. 13:35). He would, however, explain everything He said in parables to His disciples privately. His disciples were those whom He chose to call to Himself (Mark 4:33-34). Parables are dark sayings, riddles (Num. 12:8; Ezek. 17:2; 20:49). Speaking in parables is also called speaking in figurative language (John 16:25). Even the Pharisees could not hear Jesus’ words because they were of their father the devil (John 8:43-44). There were, however, some Pharisees whom God was calling into the truth, and they were becoming obedient to the faith (Acts 6:7). You see, no one can come to Jesus Christ unless the Father calls or draws him (John 6:37, 44; Acts 2:47; 13:48). So you see, the truth must be revealed by God, or else the best a person can do is interpret the word of God. Doctrines and traditions of men, which produced man-made religions, have come through man’s interpretations. These man-made traditions and man-made doctrines make man's worship of God in vain (Mark 7:7-8). If a person were to attend all the seminaries of man for a lifetime, it would be in vain, for he is reading from a book he does not understand. So he must interpret, and those interpretations are lies and half-truths. God’s word must be revealed, and it is revealed only to those who seek God for the truth, and not man. Those are the ones who find that one truth. Jesus Christ praised the Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for hiding the truth from the wise and intelligent and revealing it to those who are infants or teachable (Matt. 11:25). God considers the wisdom of this world foolishness, because that knowledge is earthly, demonic, and will not impart health, happiness, joy, peace, or eternal life (1 Cor. 3:19; James 3:15). We must go to Jesus Christ directly to receive eternal life (John 5:40). We cannot receive eternal life from some man or his teachings. Many feel if they attend a church regularly, listen to a minister and support that church, and attend its functions, they will be saved. Nothing could be further from the truth (Psalm 146:3; 118:8-9). Trust God exclusively and check up on man continually by studying God’s word on your own (2 Tim. 2:15; 3:16-17; Acts 17:11). One of the biggest lies that has been told in this world, is that a person cannot rightly understand the word of God unless he or she has a good understanding of the Greek and Hebrew languages. What does God’s word say about that? God is calling very few who are wise or noble, but is calling the fools, the weak, the base people and the despised of the world. He is calling those who are nobody to be somebody (1 Cor. 1:26-28; Eph. 4:28; Matt. 21:32). God is calling children (who are mostly the uneducated of the world), and revealing His message of His Way of life to them, whereas He is withholding the understanding from the wise and from many who know the Greek and the Hebrew (Matt. 11:25; 13:17; 18:3; 1 Cor. 1:19-20; Luke 10:21-22). This is not to say that God would not call some of these people, if they sought God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength. I am not ashamed to proclaim that God’s words, as well as His parables, have been revealed to me, and I have been taught personally by the Lord Himself for a period of three years, like Paul was (Gal. 1:11-12, 18). Therefore, I teach the truth from God’s word, through God’s revelation—not by man’s interpretation. God has given me the pen of a ready writer and has caused me to write hundreds of Bible researched studies over the years, to help others who would want to know their Bibles well and as quickly as possible (Psalm 45:1). These writings have proven to transform lives, showing that they are not my writings, but rather information I have received through inspiration and revelation from the Lord. I believe the Lord has done this because the days are coming soon, when wickedness will be so great that no man can safely preach the truth of God’s word anymore. So we must redeem the time and learn God’s word now, as fast as possible. Year after year the Lord has taught me while I lay on my bed and has instructed and inspired me on what I should write. Notice in God’s word that what I am saying is true and not a lie. His word cannot lie and I live only to imitate Him (Heb. 6:18; 1 John 2:21). Job 33:15-16 - In a dream, in a vision of the night, when sound sleep falls on men, while they slumber in their beds; then He opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction. Is. 50:5 - The Lord God has opened my ear, and I have not disobedient; Nor did I turn back. Is. 50:4 - The Lord God has given Me a tongue of disciples, that I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple. Psalm 16:7 - I will bless the Lord, who has counseled me; indeed, my mind instructs me in the night. Is. 49:2 - He has made My mouth like a sharp sword, in the shadow of His hand He has concealed me; He has also made Me a select arrow, He has hidden Me in His quiver. So you see, the truth must be revealed by God, or else the best a person can do is interpret the word of God. The key to having God reveal His teaching to you is you must seek God by doing His Will, which is doing good for God and begin to make all your ways right before Him (John 7:17). This is done by keeping, doing or performing Jesus Christ’s Words in your daily walk with Him (Psalm 37:27; John 8:51; 11:26; Rev. 2:26). • Faith Without Works is Dead | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Faith Without Works is Dead Faith without works is dead (James 2:26). Sure enough, the faith that Jesus expects of His true followers includes good works, as He Himself gave us example to do (John 10:32). Jesus even stated that many of His followers would do greater works than He did (John 14:12). Remember also that God in heaven is glorified by good works done for repentance, spiritual growth and blessings, and this is how true disciples let their lights shine before others (Matt. 5:16). Doing good works is how we imitate Jesus Christ, and how we overcome evil. It is the key that allows Jesus to reside in us and live His life through us in the form of the Holy Spirit (John 14:23). God’s Will in heaven is good works of love and charity (Matt. 6:10). It’s certainly not bad works. A life of good works is the life true followers are called to live (Eph. 2:10). We are not saved by good works, but we repent by doing good for God in Jesus Christ’s name (Acts 26:20; Col. 3:17). No one can deny that. What kind of good works should we do? Keep up our personal appearance and hygiene for God so that we can be godly examples to others (Titus 2:7-8). Keep our homes or apartments neat and clean for God to be good examples to others when we entertain or show hospitality (Luke 14:13). Help or do good to an orphan or a widow for God (James 1:27). These are just some of the many examples we can find in the Bible. Practice doing good continually for others for God. Perform deeds of kindness, deeds of charity, and deeds of good will, like Jesus left us example to do. If we are constantly concerned about doing good for God, then we are leaving a life of evil behind (Job 1:1). By not giving ourselves a moment to do what is evil, we can overcome evil by doing good so we will abide forever (Psalm 37:27; Rom. 12:21; 1 Peter 3:10-11; 3 John 11). When we are zealous for good works, we purify our lives before God, and our faith is not dead but alive in righteousness (Titus 2:14; James 2:14, 26; Heb. 10:20; Rom. 6:18; 8:10; 1 Peter 2:24). • Avoiding Evil vs. Overcoming Evil | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Avoiding Evil vs. Overcoming Evil Are you trying to be a good person? Are you trying not to drink too much, swear, smoke or overeat? Are you trying to stop thinking filthy thoughts? Is there some other bad habit you are trying to control? Do you ever catch yourself doing something good to cover up something bad you just did? Do you give to this or that fund from time to time so you can say that you are not all bad? Do you have some good days and some bad days, but things are looking down more than they are looking up for you? Well, maybe you are going about it the wrong way. Maybe you are going at it your way instead of God’s Way. The Bible says our natures prevent us from doing the very thing we want to do (Rom. 7:15). For example, when we try to stop smoking, that is when we tend to smoke more. When we try to control our own nature by going on a diet, we might struggle to lose 20 pounds, but then our nature runs amuck and we gain back 28 pounds! You cannot overcome evil by avoiding evil. You might be able to subdue it for a while, but evil will eventually win in most cases. You must overcome evil by doing good for God daily (Rom. 12:21; Psalm 37:27). You must make sure that you are not doing your good to be noticed by others. Instead, you must do all that you do in secret, and in the name of Jesus Christ, for the glory of the Father (Matt. 6:1; Col. 3:17). Then what happens? God begins to allow you to be tested (1 Cor. 3:13; 1 Peter 1:6-7). But you must continue doing good for God. Instead of thinking about the evil you want to do, get busy doing something good for God. Get involved in the process of replacing the bad things in your life with good things, for the purpose of repentance (Acts 26:20). Soon you will begin to notice that in your weakness, God’s strength is made strong (2 Cor. 12:9). You are becoming rich in good works (Titus 2:12; 3:8; 1 Tim. 6:18). The problem falls away as though it never had been a problem. Continue being zealous in doing good for God every day. Continue in the godly process of overcoming your nature until Christ has been formed in you and you are a new creature (Titus 2:14; 1 Peter 2:1-5, 12; 3:10-11; Gal. 4:19; 6:15). You will be made complete and perfect by God the Father, the same as Jesus Christ, our example, was made perfect (Heb. 5:8-9). When you do good works for the Father, you are doing the Father’s works and not your own (John 14:10-12; Rom. 8:12-14; Col. 3:5-13). This is how you do God’s Will. Then you are overcoming evil instead of avoiding evil and soon you will be a new creation of God (Gal. 6:15). • Dealing With Resentement | WHOLE WHEAT

Dealing With Resentement Resentment is a very treacherous thing. It is dangerous because it builds so slowly, we often are not even aware of its presence. Resentment kills people, destroys marriages, causes misunderstandings between friends, and is an enemy of all happiness. It can be present in almost every situation in life. Resentment actually eats us alive. It devours us from the inside out. It causes sleepless nights, worry, frustration, anxiety and stress. Some people eat more, craving for some pleasures in life, something to soothe a troubled mind. Life sometimes becomes a living hell. The apostle Paul said, "I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against my mind, making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in the members of my body. Oh, wretched person that I am, who will set me free from this body of death? Thanks be to God, through our Lord Jesus Christ. So on the one hand I am serving the law of God, while at the same time I am living in my sinful body. But there is no condemnation for those who live to please their Lord Jesus Christ.” Did Jesus carry resentment in His heart for those who killed Him? No! He overcame resentment with pure love. “Forgive them, Father, for they do not know what they are doing,” He said. Destroy resentment by giving it no place in your life! Start now. If you don’t, it will destroy you. It has already harmed you, but you didn’t realize it before. Now you know what to do about it. Forgive everyone all the time; and be like Jesus Christ, our example. But I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members. 24 Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death? 25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin. Romans 7:23-25 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1 But Jesus was saying, “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.” Luke 23:34 PREV NEXT Click below for full Bible Study: Resentment

  • How to Be Good | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Be Good The words of a familiar song say, “He knows when you’ve been sleeping, he knows when you’re awake, he knows when you’ve been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake.” Why not be good for God’s sake? Yes, we are constantly telling our children to be good, but why? Good things happen to good people. The word of God says: “If the righteous are rewarded in the earth, how much more the wicked and the sinner!” (Prov. 11:31). Psalm 125:4 says: “Do good, oh Lord, to those who are good. Yes, God wants children to be good. He tells little children not to let anyone deceive them, and that the one who practices righteousness is righteous, even as God is righteous (1 John 3:7). He also tells the little children not to love with the words of their mouths only, but with good deeds. By this, they will know they are of the truth and be sure in their hearts that they are God’s friends (1 John 3:18-19). God wants little children to live as Jesus Christ gave them example to live, so that when He returns, they will have confidence and not shrink away in shame. God’s word tells you how to abide in Him. It says: “If you know that Jesus Christ is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness [daily] is born of Him” (1 John 2:28-29). You must, however, do all that you do in word or deed in the name of Jesus Christ, as happy slaves of Jesus Christ (Col. 3:17). Righteousness is doing God’s Will from the heart (Eph. 6:6). You know that you love the children of God (others) when you love God and practice or do His commandments; and they are not hard to keep (1 John 5:2-3). You keep them daily by continually doing things that are pleasing in God’s sight (1 John 3:22). If you are to walk with God, then you must walk in His commandments, just as you have heard from the beginning that you should walk in them (2 John 6). You walk in His commandments by practicing righteousness—by being careful to engage in good deeds (Titus 3:8). This is something you’re going to have to learn to do (Titus 3:14). But realize this: whatever good you do, this you will receive back from the Lord (Eph. 6:8). When all you sow is righteousness, all you’ll reap is blessings, for God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown toward His name (Gal. 6:7; Heb. 6:10). • How You Deny Christ | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How You Deny Christ Jesus Christ came to show us the Way to live daily to please the Father. He said His way is easy and pleasant, and not hard (Matt. 11:30; 1 John 5:3). To live this Way, we are to walk as He walked, which means we are to live as He lived. Then we abide in His love (1 John 2:6; John 15:7-9). We are to practice righteousness daily to please the Father in everything we do (1 John 2:29; 3:7, 10, 17-18). We are commanded to do all the good we do in the name of Jesus Christ for the glory of the Father (Col. 3:17). Paul understood what Christ wanted. That is why He told ministers to tell those who have believed in God to be careful to engage in good works (Titus 3:8). Jesus was zealous for good works to please God and this is what He wants us to do. There are those who profess what Jesus Christ preached but see no need for works of any kind in regard to the overcoming process. These are a people who profess to know God but are still living disobedient and detestable lives. They do not know the truth about how to overcome evil by doing good works daily for the glory of the Father in heaven (Psalm 37:27; Rom. 12:21). How do you deny Christ? By not getting involved in a life of good works for God’s glory (Titus 1:16; Matt. 5:16). You cannot expect to have Christ formed in you and living in your heart unless you imitate Christ continually by serving others with love (1 Cor. 11:1). Then, and only then, will the Father reveal His Son in you (Gal. 4:19). God bless those who begin to live this Way without delay. • Share the Truth | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Share the Truth Whole Wheat has featured articles on the kingdom of God message that was preached some 2,000 years ago. Whole Wheat has explained how a person repents and lives the repentant life daily. In Biblical terms, it is called the Way of righteousness, the Way of the Lord, the Way of God or simply the Way (Matt. 21:32; Acts 18:25-26; 19:9, 23; 22:4). There are many inspiring articles featuring different facets of how God’s Will is done on this earth as it is being done in heaven. The Lord wishes, regardless of your religious beliefs, that you repent and return to Him by keeping His Ways and doing His Will upon this earth. As a result of continually doing good as Jesus said you should, you will overcome your evil nature (Psalm 34:14; 37:3, 27; 1 Peter 3:10-11; Rom. 12:21; Luke 14:13; Rev. 2:26). This is the message that you have been reading, and listening to, on this Whole Wheat website. It is the milk of God’s word and, for the most part, not the meat (1 Cor. 3:2). There is something that I am compelled to write to you at this time. That is, you are to share this truth with others. Jesus said in parable form in Matthew 12:30 and Luke 11:23, “He who is not with Me is against Me; and He who does not gather with Me, scatters.” In plain language, Jesus was saying, “He who does not live for Me—by living like Me—and does not gather more people for the kingdom of God—by spreading this truth to others—is against Me and is the same as one who scatters people away from the truth and the life of God.” Jesus came to show us how to live this life. Those who know how to do good for God by serving others and don’t do it, are the goats described in the parable of the sheep and goats (Matt. 25:33-46). True followers of Jesus Christ are to live this Way and teach others to do so by their example and their words. When they do this, they will be called great in the kingdom of heaven (Matt. 5:19). Daniel 12:3 says, “Those who lead the many to righteousness [by the example of their lives and by their words] will shine like the stars in heaven” (Matt. 5:16; Titus 2:7; 1 Peter 2:12; 3:15–KJV). When Jesus told the Apostle Peter three times to feed His sheep or teach His lambs, He was telling him as a disciple. Many do not realize we, as disciples, are all to do the same thing. God’s truth spreads by word of mouth and God is calling you to be His spokesman and example (John 21:15-17). Psalm 51:13 says, “I will teach transgressors Thy Ways [God’s Will] and sinners shall be converted to Thee.” “He that wins souls is wise” (Prov. 11:30). “A true witness delivers souls” (Prov. 14:25). In other words, a true disciple of Jesus Christ converts people to live God’s Way of righteousness. If you do not tell others the truth from God’s word, you are suppressing the truth in unrighteousness and God’s wrath will be upon you or anyone else who withholds this precious message from others (Rom. 1:18). God gave many over to depraved minds in the past because they exchanged this truth of God for a lie, and withheld the truth in unrighteousness from other people (Rom. 1:24-32). Hebrews 3:7-8 says, “Today if you hear My voice [if you understand what the Lord would have you do], do not harden your hearts as when they provoked Me, as in the day of trial in the wilderness!” God told the ancient Israelites how to keep His Ways—by practicing righteousness and overcoming their evil ways by imitating Him. They kept hearing of the Way they should live but they would not obey God (Jer. 7:22-28). In other words, they did not know God’s Ways because they did not obey God and practice righteousness. We cannot know God’s Ways or know God’s Will unless we live the life first and thereby learn righteousness (John 7:17; Is. 1:16-20; Titus 3:8, 14; Prov. 8:32-36). Eventually, everyone on this earth will learn righteousness (Is. 26:9). But the wicked will not learn righteousness because they will not practice righteousness (Is. 26:10). If it is with difficulty that those who practice righteousness daily to please the Lord are saved, what will become of the wicked, godless one who will not practice righteousness for God (1 Peter 4:18)? Now you know what is expected from everyone who knows the right thing to do in God’s sight. God wants you to spread the word and teach it to others in thought, word and deed. When one of Jesus’ disciples asked if he could first go bury his father, Jesus said, “Let the dead bury their dead; but as for you, go and proclaim everywhere the kingdom of God” (Luke 9:59-60). The people who do not know this truth remain dead. That is why Jesus put telling this message of the truth first. It takes precedence over all worldly things. Pray to God that He would send others your way—those He wants to call to hear and obey the truth. I hope none of you fulfill the prophecy mentioned in Ezekiel 33:31-33: “They come to you as people come, and sit before you as My people, and hear your words, but they do not do them, for they do the lustful desires expressed by their mouth, and their heart goes after their gain. And behold, you are to them like a sensual song by one who has a beautiful voice and plays well on an instrument; for they hear your words, but they do not practice them. So when it comes to pass—as surely it will—then they will know that a prophet has been in their midst.” Remember, if you but do your best, the Lord will help you do the rest; and we’ll help you, too (1 Cor. 3:7)! • God's Instruction on Child Discipline | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search God's Instruction on Child Discipline Abraham brought his children up in the Ways of the Lord by teaching them to practice righteousness in everything they did. He taught them to practice justice by not cheating, lying or bearing false witness against others (Gen. 18:19). Children today also need to be taught to obey their parents. This is how they please the Lord (Col. 3:20). God’s word says that fathers, not mothers, have the major responsibility for disciplining their children, while mothers are to assist the fathers in regard to discipline. Fathers are commanded to bring up their children with discipline, instructing them how to please the Lord (Eph. 6:4). "For what son is there whom his father does not discipline?" (Heb. 12:7). That is quite a question in this day and age. Here are a few Scriptures from God’s word you should consider before you start disciplining. Remember, discipline without love does not work (1 Cor. 16:14; Prov. 13:1; Eph. 6:4). God’s word says, "Poverty and shame will come to those who neglect discipline" (Prov. 13:18). "He who spares the paddle, hates his son" (Prov. 13:24). "Discipline your son while there is still hope" (Prov. 19:18). "Train up a child (with discipline) in the way he should go (God’s Way), even when he is old he will not depart from it" (Prov. 22:6). Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child, but consistent discipline will remove it far from him (Prov. 22:15). "Reproof (discipline or correction) will give your child wisdom, but a child who gets his own way brings shame to his mother" (Prov. 29:15). "Correct your child and he will give you comfort (rest, peace)" (Prov. 29:17). If God is wrong about child rearing, then who can be right? God is going to send the Prophet Elijah before Jesus Christ returns to this earth, before the great and terrible day of the Lord. His message will restore the respect of children to their fathers and turn the hearts of the fathers to their children. It will restore godly order in homes (Mal. 4:5-6). Let’s prepare now, fathers, so we will not be held responsible for child neglect by the Lord when He returns shortly (Luke 1:17; Acts 3:26). • Come Out of Their Midst and Be Separate | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Come Out of Their Midst and Be Separate Believe it or not, we live in an uncivilized world. God has shown man that they are but beasts (Eccl. 3:18). Mankind has a heart that is desperately wicked and more deceitful than anything you can imagine. It is so evil, it is impossible to know (Jer. 17:9 King James Version). The days are only getting darker and the world revealing more wickedness as each day goes by. When humans do not obey the Lord, they are like brute beasts (Psalm 73:22). They are self-willed and indulge in the flesh with its corrupt desires, despising the authority of God, instead of living a life of doing good and doing God’s Will (Gal. 5:18-20; Rom. 1:24-32). Doing God’s Will is practicing kindness, justice and goodness towards others. Humans remain creatures of instinct doing Satan’s will in their bodies; they are like beasts meant to be destroyed (2 Tim. 2:26; 2 Peter 2:10). When you have human nature, you are by nature a brute beast (Jude 10). Becoming civilized, then, is a process of living by every word of God (Deut. 8:3; Prov. 30:5; Matt. 4:4). It was never meant for man, whom God created, to direct his own steps and live by the way he thought was best for himself (Jer. 10:23). Mankind was to walk in, live by or keep all of God’s Ways, which God has commanded us to keep for our own good (Deut. 5:33; 8:6; 10:12-13; 19:9). God’s thoughts are not our thoughts, neither are God’s Ways our ways. God’s Ways are all righteous; our ways are all wicked (Is. 55:8; Psalm 145:17). All our ways and thoughts are not good (Is. 65:2). This is why God says, in Isaiah 40:17, that all nations before Him are as nothing. They are accounted to Him as less than nothing, yet there were times when God would spare a whole city if there was just one person who was practicing charity towards others (doing justice) and seeking the truth (Jer. 5:1; Gen. 18:22-32; Dan. 4:35). When will mankind realize it is God Almighty who makes nations great and then destroys them when they forsake Him (Is. 60:12)? God has a policy and He does not change (Mal. 3:6). All nations who forget God will return to the grave (Psalm 9:17; 10:16). It is God who rules over the nations (Psalm 22:28; Job 12:23). Jesus is returning soon to set up His kingdom, which will have no end (Luke 1:33). It will be a kingdom where only righteousness dwells. People will only be keeping God’s Ways and doing God’s Will towards one another each and every day. All the nations who are left will come up from year to year at Jerusalem so they may learn God’s Ways in order to be civilized (Is. 2:3; Micah 4:2). Are you becoming civilized by keeping God’s Ways and doing God’s Will on this earth daily as it is being done by God in heaven (Matt. 6:10)? Are you practicing deeds of kindness and love to everyone you meet? Are you becoming born again by practicing righteousness towards your fellow man daily as Jesus gave us example to do (1 John 2:29)? Are you living this Way for Christ (Col. 3:17)? The Lord is coming soon! It’s time to get on His side, so we are off of His hit list (Is. 66:16). Separate yourself from the world and all of its foolishness (Rev. 18:4; 2 Cor. 6:17-18). Draw away from the world and its distractions, and instead draw near to God and His wisdom (1 John 5:19; Mark 4:19; Mark 8:36; James 4:8). Don’t allow yourself to be influenced by others in your life, who are not living God’s truth wholeheartedly (2 Thess. 2:10-12). Do not allow yourself to be influenced by television, movies, the internet, political figures and those of the world promoting themselves and their worldly causes (Luke 9:25, John 15:19; 1 John 2:15-17). When we look at the definition of faction, in Noah Webster’s 1828 dictionary, it means - A party: in political society, combined or acting in union. It also means, discord, dissension, tumult (the commotion, disturbance or agitation of a multitude usually accompanied with great noise, uproar, confusion of voices). We know who the author of confusion is, Satan himself (1 Cor. 14:33). God uses factions, whether political or other groups in our lives, to reveal who have godly character and are approved, according to Him, so that they may clearly be seen (1 Cor. 11:19; 2 Peter 1:4). These groups reveal who is like-minded, and when it comes to factions, that means like-minded in the world. A faction is listed in Galatians 5:20 as a deed of the flesh, and it tells us that those that participate in the deeds of the flesh will not inherit the kingdom of God (Gal. 5:19-21). God says we are to be in full agreement in what we say, so that there be no factions among us (1 Cor. 1:10 AMP). That we be perfectly united in our way of thinking and judgement, according to God and His Ways (Phil. 2:2; Titus 3:9). We cannot be united if we are divided by anything of this world. We are to do nothing from empty conceit (through factional motives or strife) but with an attitude of humility being neither arrogant or self-righteous, regarding others as more important than yourselves (Phil. 2:3 AMP). It is more important than ever to align yourself only with God and leave all worldliness behind; whether politics, or any other worldly group or individual that promotes something other than the whole truth of God’s Will for us (2 Tim. 3:1-7 AMP). The wisdom and the knowledge of this world is foolishness before God (1 Cor. 3:19). God’s word says that the knowledge of this world is demonic, which means it comes from demons (James 3:15; 2 Thess. 2:2; 1 Tim. 4:1). And be careful, as many will seem as though they promote God but secretly have another agenda (Matt.7:15; 2 Cor. 11:13-15). Isn’t that what is going to happen when the antichrist comes (Rev. 20:1-3)? The message will be so similar to God’s truth, that even the elect, if possible, will be deceived (Matt. 24:24; Mark 13:22). This is why it is so important not to get swept up in what is happening in the world (Luke 21:34-35; Col. 3:2; Heb. 12:1). This is why it is so important to build, and maintain, your stand-alone faith. If we are not studying daily and reminding ourselves continually of this truth, and God’s Ways, then Satan can use that as an open door to manipulate and confuse us (1 Cor. 14:33; John 6:33; Matt. 6:11). We must be sober and spiritually aware to what is all around us (1 Pet. 5:8). It is crucial, as the world is deteriorating and more divided than ever (Mark 3:23-26). Be on the alert, at all times, for deception. We are in the midst of spiritual warfare and must have our spiritual armor on at all times (Eph. 6:10-18). We must be united with God, and only God, knowing we come under His protection and promises (Phil. 2:2; Heb. 4:2; Psalm 91:1-3; Heb. 6:11-13). Remember always that God is in control and He is in the process of fulfilling His plan for this world (Isa. 25:1; Jer. 23:20). We do not want to get in the way of His plan. And, we certainly do not want to be stumbling blocks to anyone who is trying to enter the kingdom, because God is going to make a determination between the righteous and the wicked, the sheep and the goats, the wheat and the tares, the good fish and the bad fish, and the hearers of His word and the doers of His word (Matt. 18:7-9; Rev. 3:15-16; Matt. 23:13). He is making a determination between the ones who are civilized and those who choose not to be civilized (Mal. 3:18; Matt. 25:40-41; 13:37-38, 29-30, 48; James 1:22; John 5:29; Rom. 2:7). The faith of those who have good works is not dead, but alive (James 2:14-26)! Doing good is what makes people civilized. Stay close to God, stay in prayer and study your Bible daily to remind yourself of the truth of His Ways (James 4:8; 1 Thess. 5:17; 2 Tim. 2:15; 2 Pet. 1:13; 2 Pet. 3:1). If you come out of the world and are separate, standing with the Lord, you will be His and He will be yours (2 Cor. 6:16-18). It will surely serve you well in the end (Eph. 4:1-3; 1 Tim. 1:5; Matt. 25:21). • Do Good Works Come Naturally? | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Do Good Works Come Naturally? “When you have the Spirit of God, you just naturally do good works. You don’t have to consciously think of doing them; it’s a natural result of having His Spirit.” Is there anything wrong with the above statement? It sounds good to the ear. It even sounds reasonable. To be sure, let’s see if it holds up under the word of God. The apostles were commanded by Jesus Christ, in their three years of training, to teach people all that He commanded and taught them. What does this teach us? Jesus Christ commands us to do something (Matt. 28:20). Jesus says a determination is being made as to whether or not we will keep His commandments and bear fruit (Matt. 3:10). He says we must strive to enter by pushing ourselves, and many will not make it (Luke 13:24). We have to give up something—our old ways (Luke 14:33). We have to persevere to win our souls (Luke 21:19). We have to force our way into the kingdom (Luke 16:16). Our righteousness must surpass the hypocritical stage of the scribes and Pharisees who were hypocrites (Matt. 5:20; 23:5, 13). The Bible tells us we will eventually be like happy slaves, doing God’s Will (righteousness) from the heart (Eph. 6:6). But first we must overcome our natures by disciplining ourselves according to godliness; and to do this, we must force ourselves at times to do Christ’s works or deeds (1 Tim. 4:7; Rev. 2:26; John 14:12). We are told to fight the good fight of faith (1 Tim. 1:18; 2 Tim. 4:7). We are told to endure to the end to be saved (Matt. 10:22; 24:13; Heb. 10:36). In other words, we are to do good deeds of righteousness until the end (Heb. 10:24-25). We must not grow weary or lose heart in doing good deeds (Gal. 6:9). We have to live this Way daily to be worthy of Christ (Matt. 10:38). We are commanded to be careful to engage in good deeds for the purpose of overcoming the devil (Titus 3:8; Rom. 12:21). If we prove zealous for good deeds and allow God to crush Satan’s will in our lives, he can do us no harm (1 Peter 3:13; 2 Tim. 2:26; Rom. 16:20). Now, let’s ask the question again. “Will you naturally do good as a result of having God’s Spirit in you?” In order to continue to think that doing good is automatic for a disciple of Jesus Christ, a person would have to cancel out all of the above Scriptures, and they represent but a few of the many which can be found in God’s word on this subject (Psalm 11:7). • God's Childlike Gospel | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search God's Childlike Gospel God’s childlike message is simply: Live to please your heavenly Father each day. We, as earthly parents, teach our children not to use foul language and not to use God’s name in vain. We want our children to learn to do good by doing what is right and good on a daily basis. This pleases God and us. We bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Eph. 6:4). We teach them to share what they have with others, and be concerned for the rights, welfare and comforts of others. We do our best to teach them to be honest, loving, charitable, giving and forgiving human beings. We teach them the principle that doing good works for God daily brings great rewards into one’s life (Eph. 6:8; Heb. 6:10; Rom. 2:6; Matt. 16:27). Everyone is eagerly waiting for the world to become a better place, but few people are interested in being the first to make it a reality, by living God’s Way each day. Now that’s not too much to ask, is it? After all, we were created to find the purpose of our existence and then perform it on a daily basis (Eph. 2:10). That purpose is to overcome evil by practicing good so we will abide forever, and be considered worthy to attain to the age of the resurrection (Psalm 37:27; Phil. 3:11; Luke 20:35). Employers, law officers, judges, mayors, governors and kings are all pleased with people who have built good character in their lives. People maintain good character by continually doing those things that are right and good. Will you remain a problem of the world or will you be part of the solution? Will you be one who cares, or one who could care less about others? As parents, we teach our children to have good character. Good character is living by godly principles that are pleasing to God as well as man. This is God’s Will, and Jesus Christ said doing it is easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30). God’s commandments are not burdensome or hard to keep, but pleasant (1 John 5:3). It does not take great intelligence to do God’s Will. It just takes simple, daily obedience to a living, heavenly Father who wants to bless those whom He has created (Acts 3:26). If we are created in God’s image, is it right for us to live like the devil, talk like the devil and walk like the devil, daily ignoring God in heaven? This gospel message is so easy, even a child can understand it! But it takes the mind of a child, and the simple obedience of a child, for an adult to live it. Time is running out and the Lord is going to come when no one expects He will (Matt. 24:44). Will you be a child of God and fulfill the Scriptures that the righteous are commanded to fulfill? Or will you, by omission, be fulfilling the Scriptures that the wicked fulfill? • What is the Truth? | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search What is the Truth? If there was no truth, then what is being taught today in over 30,000 religions, all differing in their doctrines, wouldn’t make any difference. If there was only one truth, however, then that truth certainly would make a difference. Following is a list, of just some, of the half-truths that are taught and believed by people today, followed by the whole truth, which you will see does make a difference. ACCEPTING JESUS The world teaches: All you need to do is accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and believe in Him to be saved. The truth is: We must be daily doers of God’s Will to be saved (Matt. 7:21; 1 John 2:17). We must keep Jesus Christ’s words by putting them into action daily in our lives (Luke 6:46) to receive salvation and never see death, so says Jesus Christ, who does not lie (John 8:51). WORKS OR NO WORKS The world teaches: A salvation without works message. The truth is: Repentance requires a life of doing good for God for repentance if we are to receive the free gift of salvation. Let’s say it like it is. Jesus’ faith had works of righteousness. He glorified the Father in heaven by these works of righteousness that He did daily to please the Father. He instructed those who would follow Him and be His true disciples to do the same (Matt. 5:16). These works are to be done by practicing righteousness or acts of love daily towards others for God (Matt. 6:1; 25:40). This is how to love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus came to show us how to do the Will of His Father daily on this earth as it is being done in heaven (Matt. 6:10). This Will of God is righteousness that we do daily for others for the glory of the Father. God’s Will represents God’s Ways, and all God’s Ways are righteous (Psalm 145:17). When Jesus resurrects all who are in their graves, only those who had good works will come to a resurrection of eternal life (John 5:29; Rom. 2:7). Doesn’t it seem weird that the world’s ministers teach salvation cannot be earned by good works, discouraging the many from having any good works for repentance by this false incomplete teaching? The world teaches: You are saved by grace through faith, and not a result of works, that anyone should boast. This is true, but only half true, and not the complete message. The world quotes Ephesians 2:8-9, omitting verse 10. This omission makes the subject of works incomplete. The truth is: The Apostle Paul wrote in such a way that many of the untaught and unstable would distort his writings, as they do the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction (2 Peter 3:15-16). Ephesians 2:8-9 is a prime example. Ephesians 2:10 states we were created for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Repentance requires a life of good works, as Jesus gave us example of (Acts 26:20). Also, Titus 3:5-7 is quoted out of context by many to discourage doing good works, when verse 8 specifically states that true ministers of God are to constantly remind those who say they believe in God to be careful to engage in good works. Titus 3:14 and 2:7, 14 are proof that the book of Titus is, literally, a book that encourages those who follow Jesus Christ to be rich in good works for God. Titus 1:16 talks about those who are traveling the religious broad way that leads to destruction. They remain worthless for good works for God and as a result, continue to live detestable and disobedient lives before God. Jesus was zealous for good deeds for the glory of the Father and this is what He commanded those who would follow Him to do (Matt. 5:16; Titus 2:14). If you don’t or won’t do this, you deny Jesus Christ in your life. BORN AGAIN The world says: You must be born again, quoting John 3:3. This is true, but only half true, because the explanation of how to be born again is not taught. The truth is: You must practice righteousness toward others daily as Jesus Christ told us to do, or you will not be born again. Read these Scriptures to see what the Lord says; 1 John 2:29; 3:7-10; 3 John 11; Acts 9:36. AUTOMATIC RIGHTEOUSNESS The world teaches: When you accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and believe in Him, you will just automatically do these works of righteousness as a result of your belief or faith. The truth is: The Apostle Paul instructed his ministers to constantly remind people to engage in a life of doing good works for God (Titus 3:8) and this is something they would have to learn to do (Titus 3:14; Is. 1:16-20). We are to provoke one another to more love and good deeds (Heb. 10:24). The word provoke here means to go against your nature. The Apostle Paul had to discipline himself daily for the purpose of godliness so he wouldn’t be a hypocrite (1 Cor. 9:27; 1 Tim. 4:7). Does this sound like it comes naturally, or was the Apostle Paul fighting the good fight of faith by fighting his evil human nature and resisting Satan daily (1 Tim. 1:18)? OVERCOMING The world teaches: Nothing concerning the subject of overcoming. The truth is: We must overcome to be saved (Rev. 2:7). Why? Because overcoming is how we repent. We overcome by keeping and performing daily the deeds that Jesus came here to show us. We must endure, keeping them, and stay true to Jesus right up to the end of our lives in order to be saved (Rev. 2:26). If only those who overcome will not be hurt in the second death, then what will happen to those precious people who are searching for God in all the wrong places who have never even heard of the message of overcoming (Rev. 2:11)? If overcoming is required to be a disciple of Jesus Christ or your name is erased from the book of life, doesn’t it stand to reason that there is more to the watered-down salvation message than the world is being told by those who are spiritually blind (Rev. 3:5; Matt. 15:14)? Look at all the Scriptures on overcoming that are left out of this world’s message of salvation: Revelation 2:7, 11, 17, 26; 3:5, 12, 21; 5:5; 21:7. Jesus was righteous. He came to show us how to live righteously and be righteous like He was. To be righteous, you must do acts of righteousness toward others for God (Matt. 25:40), using your body as an instrument of righteousness for God as Jesus did and gave us example to do (Rom. 6:13). We are to live like Dorcas did, who was abounding with deeds of kindness toward others, which she continually did (Acts 9:36). We purify ourselves and allow the Lord to change us by always being zealous for doing good (Titus 2:7, 14; 1 Peter 3:13). This is how we overcome the evil one in our lives—by continually doing good for others (Psalm 34:14; 37:27; 1 Peter 3:11; Rom. 12:21; Rev. 2:26). The fear of the Lord is to seek God and show Him respect by doing good daily (Rom. 3:10-12). This is how to show God reverence daily (Psalm 34:9-14). Now, if it is with great difficulty that the righteous people we have just mentioned are saved (1 Peter 4:18), you know the world has not heard the true message of the gospel; but now you have. Now you know how to overcome. You have been told how it’s done daily. God’s word says we are to put to death the evil deeds of the body with His Spirit daily if we are to live forever (Rom. 8:13-14). If we walk by the Spirit, we will not carry out the evil desires of the body, says Galatians 5:16. Walking by the Spirit means keeping God’s Ways. Walk with God like Enoch walked. Keep Jesus Christ’s words, and if you keep them, that means you do them or perform them in your life daily (Luke 6:46; John 8:31). How many people do you know or have you met who have crushed the flesh with its evil passions and desires and fulfilled Galatians 5:24? Now you know how to fulfill this Scripture in your life, and have no more excuse for your sins (John 15:22; Heb. 10:26-27). SHOULD YOU JOIN THE CHURCH OF YOUR CHOICE? The world says: You must go to church. Yet there are 30,000 different churches teaching differing doctrines. That’s religious confusion. That’s Babylon! The truth is: Christ is the church and the body of believers who live like Jesus Christ gave them example to live are that church. They are overcoming their evil natures like Jesus gave them example to do. Shocking as it may seem, Jesus came to start a spiritual church. Everyone who belongs to that spiritual church must live a spiritual life for Jesus every day, by overcoming like Jesus Christ their example told them to do (Rev. 3:21). Jesus Christ’s body is the church and that body is now spiritual so the gates of hell cannot prevail against it (Col. 1:24; Matt. 16:18). Jesus is the Rock on which the true church was founded. Peter’s name only meant pebble or small stone in Matthew 16:18 (see margin). Remember always, Jesus is the Rock. Peter is the pebble. CAN YOU LOSE YOUR SALVATION? The world teaches: Once saved always saved. The truth is: Only the one who endures to the end keeping Jesus Christ’s words, works and deeds, and does God’s Will on this earth daily, will be saved (Matt. 10:22; 24:13; 2 Tim. 2:12; Mark 13:13). The world teaches: You cannot lose your salvation. The truth is: God’s word continually admonishes His disciples to do what is right so they won’t fall away from the faith and lose their salvation (Rev. 2:5). In 2 Peter 2:21-22 it mentions that those who fall away from the “Way of righteousness” that Jesus lived would be like dogs going back to their own vomit. God’s word says if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, we are done for (Heb. 10:26-27). The goats mentioned in Matthew 25:41-46 knew to do good for God by serving others in need daily and keeping themselves from a life of sin, unstained by the world, but they heard this message of righteousness and wouldn’t obey it (James 1:27). They never became happy and blessed doers of God’s word, yet they were deluding themselves like so many today, thinking they were saved, when in fact, according to God’s word, they were not (James 1:22). Only the doers are blessed in this life and saved in the next (James 1:23-25; Rom. 2:6-8). The hearers, who know or have heard this truth and have been given ears to understand it but do not obey it, go where the goats go—the lake of fire (Matt. 25:41). Why would the example of Lot’s wife be in God’s word, if not to warn followers of Jesus Christ of their fate, should they turn back to the ways of the world or the ways of the flesh (Luke 9:62; 17:32-33)? Jesus says that if His servant turns back to his old ways he will be cut in pieces, not saved (Matt. 24:50-51). It is amazing that such erroneous doctrines of men (like you cannot lose your salvation) can be taught and never questioned by the majority, who willingly remain deceived because they won’t study God’s word daily for the truth like the Bereans did (Acts 17:11). They are following man and not God and God’s word. In God’s word, it mentions that Jesus’ true followers tested those who called themselves ministers, and found many to be liars (Rev. 2:2). We need to follow this example by knowing God’s word. ARE YOU GOING TO HEAVEN WHEN YOU DIE? The world teaches: You go to heaven or hell when you die. The truth is: God’s word says your body returns to dust and your soul sleeps. When Jesus resurrects all who are in their graves, only those who had good works will come to a resurrection of eternal life (John 5:29). Doesn’t it seem weird that the world teaches salvation cannot be earned by good works, discouraging the many from having any good works by this false incomplete teaching, when Jesus will give eternal life only to those who had good works? King David knew he would be sleeping in the grave (Psalm 17:15). Jesus’ disciples knew that King David did not ascend to heaven when he died (Acts 2:34). They knew that David and his grave were still there in the ground to that day (Acts 2:29). In the oldest book in the Bible, the book of Job, it states, “So a man lies down and does not rise until the heavens be no more. The dead will not awake or be aroused from their sleep” (Job 14:12). Job knew the Lord would call him from his grave (Job 14:14) just like Jesus said He would (John 5:28-29). All you need do is look up “sleep” in a Bible concordance to find that the soul sleeps. So, you don’t go to heaven when you die. That’s just another pagan lie. Jesus said Himself that no man has ascended to heaven except Himself (John 3:13). Was He lying? Jesus is the only one at this time who has immortality (1 Tim. 6:16). You must admit, if the pagan teaching that you go to heaven when you die was true, then why would we need a resurrection? Everyone would be immortal already, wouldn’t they? You now have read the truth from God’s word. Many have been deceived. PAGAN HOLIDAYS DO NOT HONOR GOD The world teaches: The keeping of ancient, pagan customs such as Christmas, Easter and Halloween. The truth is: Just because the names have been changed, that does not make the festivals holy or honorable. The truth about these pagan customs is readily available and easily found. Matter of fact most major newspapers have printed articles about their pagan origins at one time or another. The truth about the origins and the meaning behind the symbolism is frankly astonishing, being it goes so blatantly against God’s word. One thing that God hated (other than the making of statues for religious reasons and praying to the dead, who cannot hear—Deut. 4:15-16; 27:15) was when His people worshiped Him with pagan festivals. Our God, who never changes, told His people anciently not to inquire of the pagans as to how they worshiped their pagan gods, and then worship the one Lord, the true God, with pagan holidays (Deut. 12:30-31; 7:5; Lev. 18:30, 20:23). Easter origins: The word ‘Easter’ is actually derived from the Anglo-Saxon goddess Eostre. She is identified with the Babylonian fertility goddess Ishtar. The symbols of eggs, rabbits and even the Easter egg hunt with colored eggs, all stem from celebrating this goddess of fertility. Everything from Easter lilies, Easter ham, hot cross buns and sunrise service all have pagan origins. Doing your own research will confirm this easily and reveal what this holiday is all about. Christmas origins: There is no decree in the Bible to commemorate the birth of Christ, and nowhere in the Bible does it give the day of His birth. As most major newspapers report every year, Jesus was not born on December 25th, however, you will find other pagan gods celebrated on that very day in history. Bible scholars have argued He most likely was born in the Fall, some say in the Spring. The Companion Bible explains more about how this is calculated. The pagan custom of Christmas actually originated with the Roman festival ‘Feast of Saturnalia’. Look that up and you will be shocked what was involved. All the symbolism of Christmas has pagan origins as well; the tree, yule log, mistletoe and Santa Claus. You will be quite surprised at the information you can so easily find on the pagan origins of this holiday. There is nothing about it that honors God and He is not honored by celebrating it in His name. Again, these are abominable customs to God (Lev. 18:30; 20:23). In Jeremiah 10:2-4 (KJV) it says; Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. 3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. Halloween origins: It is not hard to understand why this holiday does not honor God. Again, do a little research as to its origins, and what actually happens on this night around the world, and it is shocking. It is considered a ‘high day’ of those in the Wiccan religion. Just read Deuteronomy 18:9-13; When you enter the land which the Lord your God gives you, you shall not learn to imitate the detestable things of those nations. 10 There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, 11 or one who casts a spell, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. 12 For whoever does these things is detestable to the Lord; and because of these detestable things the Lord your God will drive them out before you. 13 You shall be blameless before the Lord your God. How can someone who wants to honor God justify celebrating this day with their children? No wonder Jesus Christ shouts from the Scriptures, “In vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the precepts of men (Mark 7:7). Remember, you cannot add to God’s word or take away from it. Many are so deeply deceived today and they don’t even care (Jer. 4:22). These pagan teachings are Babylonian teachings that we are to come out of (Rev. 17:5; 18:4). Those who seek the Lord are told not to learn the way of the heathens (Jer. 10:2-5). Today, people are doing what is right in their own eyes, like their forefathers did, instead of obeying God’s word (Deut. 12:8; Is. 65:2; Jer. 16:12). Well meaning Christians have been deceived. It is time to make a stand for Jesus and be a good witness to His holy name. You cannot mix pagan festivals with true worship of the Lord God Almighty (1 Cor. 10:21-22). WINE AND STRONG DRINK The world teaches: Disciples of Jesus Christ should not drink wine or strong drink. The truth is: The Lord gave permission for the Israelites to buy wine or strong drink (Deut. 14:26). God’s word says we should drink our wine with a cheerful heart (Eccl. 9:7). Wine makes a man’s heart glad (Psalm 104:15). God’s word instructs us to give a strong drink to those who are dying and wine to those who are sorrowful (Prov. 31:6). Wine was to be consumed for health reasons (1 Tim. 5:23). Jesus made 180 gallons of wine from water as one of His first miracles (John 2:6-10). Jesus will be serving aged wine at the wedding supper (Is. 25:6-8). God Himself even enjoys wine (Judges 9:13). The fruit of the vine mentioned in Matthew 26:29 was wine, as Jews were commanded by God to use wine for the Passover (Lev. 23:12-13). Jesus drank wine (Matt. 11:19 see margin note) and that is the simple truth! God even prophesied in His word that false ministers would speak against the use of wine and liquor, and people would make them their ministers or spokesmen (Micah 2:11). How dare people speak against what God has allowed in His word. They have added to the word their traditions which make their worship of God in vain (Mark 7:7). As with all things, the drinking of wine and strong drink should be done in moderation. Read the Scriptures below: Ephesians 5:18 - And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit. Romans 13:13 - Let us behave properly as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and sensuality, not in strife and jealousy. 1 Corinthians 6:10 - nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. CLEAN AND UNCLEAN FOODS - HAS IT BEEN ABOLISHED? The world teaches: The distinction between the clean and unclean animals has been done away with. You can now eat mice, moles, cats, dogs, bats, rats, skunks, poisonous spiders, snakes, worms, lizards, etc. The truth is: The Apostle Peter, after he had been fully trained by Jesus Christ for over three years, said in Acts 10:14, “By no means, Lord, for I have never eaten anything unholy or unclean.” Peter was very perplexed over what the vision of the sheet meant with all the unclean animals on it. It was then revealed to him by the Lord that the Jews were no longer to consider the Gentiles unclean, because the Lord was going to call them and reveal to them also that one truth that saves (Acts 10:28). The vision did not mean everything was clean to eat now, as Satan’s false ministers proclaim. The clean and unclean laws were still kept by the Jews of Israel as well as Jesus and the twelve apostles. Jesus’ disciples were also warned not to eat the blood of an animal or an animal that was strangled with the blood in it (1 Sam. 14:33; Acts 15:20). This proves that prohibition of unclean meats and blood were still in effect. The New Testament says touch not the unclean thing in 2 Corinthians 6:17. Corrupt Bible translators even took the liberty to add to the sacred gospel of Jesus Christ by adding the phrase: “Thus Jesus declared all meats clean” (Mark 7:19). This was not in the original manuscripts, neither is it found in the King James Bible. It was added by corrupt translators. Clean and unclean fish are used as a parable by our Lord in Matthew 13:48, which corresponds with Leviticus 11:9-12. In 1 Timothy 4:4-5 (see KJV) God’s word says that everything created by God is good and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude & prayer. Then it goes on to say it is sanctified or set apart in God’s word—in Leviticus 11 is where it is sanctified. God does not want you to hurt yourself by drinking or eating the blood of an animal which is unclean, just as much as you shouldn’t eat what comes out of the back of a cow (Deut. 12:23-25). That’s unclean, too. The blood is part of the sewer system of the cow. Remember always, Jesus does not change (Mal. 3:6; Heb. 13:8; Matt. 5:17-19). In a prophecy in Isaiah 66:15-17 concerning the return of the Lord in the last days, Jesus says eating swine meat or pig is the same as eating mice. He calls eating bacon, ham or any part of a hog “detestable” (Is. 65:4)! Oh, how those who seek God have been led astray today by those who teach them, error upon error (Lev. 11:7). RELIGIOUS CLOTHING The world teaches: Ministers of the world are to stand before their congregations wearing religious robes. The truth is: God condemned His ministers from wearing religious looking robes when they stood before their congregations. They were not to make themselves look more religious or holy than the people they were preaching to. In short, they were not to transmit holiness by the way they dressed (Ezek. 44:19). The pagan priests of Baal always wore religious robes. They wore these robes to deceive the people into thinking they were more holy than the people they preached to. They wanted to be looked up to and respected by men, so they could receive honor as being holy men. It worked then as it still works today. They have deceived the people by “transmitting holiness” to the people with the way they appear in their robes of deception. When Jesus Christ returns, He will not allow these people to put on robes to deceive people any longer (Zech. 13:4). CROSSES The world teaches: To revere the cross and call it holy. The truth is: The cross is the oldest of pagan symbols in the world. It predates Christianity by thousands of years. There are books on crosses in your public library that prove their origin is pagan and show what they were really used for in ancient civilizations. One such book is The History of Crosses. Webster’s Dictionary says, anything that is used as a religious reminder is an idol. The Bible talks about not making for yourself any graven image. A graven image is defined as a carved idol or representation of a god used as an object of worship. Read this several times, thinking of things that may be idols in your life. Read Deuteronomy 4:15-19 and see how many of these items are used as religious reminders and symbols, then remove them from your life. GRACE The world says: You are saved by grace, through faith, not of yourselves. It is the gift of God. The truth is: The above statement is true, but only half true. What many do not realize is the Apostle Paul wrote some of the things he wrote, in a hard-to-understand way so he would trip up those who were false teachers, who were not called or taught by God personally. These untaught and unstable people would distort the true gospel to their own destruction. The Apostle Peter knew what Paul was doing and he mentioned it in 2 Peter 3:16. You are born by grace, you continue to live by grace, and when the time comes for you to be called by grace, then you must respond to that calling. God doesn’t need you, but you need God. God calls you to hear His truth either by opening your mind and drawing you with His Spirit, or by sending one of His servants to wherever you may be (John 6:44-65). Should there be no man of God around, the Lord will teach you Himself as you live for Him daily (John 6:45; 2 Tim. 2:7; 1 John 2:27). Now, the Lord Jesus is that Spirit which resides in us when we live to obey Him (1 Cor. 3:16; Acts 16:6-7). Notice while reading John 14:16-18, Jesus says, “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” If Jesus sends His servant, you should receive him, because when you do, you have received Jesus Christ (Matt. 10:40-42; John 13:20). In Jesus’ day, as well as today, only those who were receiving their chance for salvation knew the mysteries of the kingdom of God (Mark 4:11; Matt. 13:11). The knowledge of this profound mystery is given to us by grace through God’s Spirit. The mystery of the kingdom of God includes the answers to the following questions: God is not calling everyone to know His truth today, because this is not the only day of salvation (Heb. 3:7-8; Rev. 17:14). Consider these verses from God’s word: Acts 2:39, 47; 13:48; John 13:18; 5:21; Romans 11:7. When you are called by grace, God tells you the truth so that you may no longer live a disgraceful life before Him. God grants you the ability to repent, by knowing His truth, and allows you to know His Will so that you can be released from being held captive by Satan into doing his will (2 Tim. 2:26). In plain language, God allows you to know His Will so you can repent and know the truth. By knowing and living this truth, you become released from your old human nature of the flesh which represents Satan’s will, and thus you become reconciled to God by His grace (Rom. 16:20). CONCLUSION Every minister (plant) which My heavenly Father did not send or personally train (plant) My Father shall tear up (root up) (Matt. 15:13-14). Let them alone and do not go after them (Luke 21:8). They are spiritually blind to God’s revealed truth and are leading many astray (Jer. 23:30-32). As a result, many people will be betrayed and deceived by them. This is the broad way that the majority of those who seek God have been following, so says Jesus Christ Himself in Matthew 24:5. Very few people will find the narrow way—the narrow way which is that one true way, that true gospel of Jesus Christ (Matt. 7:13-14). Now that you have seen for yourself, some of the half-truths and lies being taught in the world and then the truth from God’s word, you can see how God wants to be worshiped. His Way is clear and narrow, without any confusion. It’s simply a matter of asking God to clearly show us that one truth and then practice it in our daily walk with Him—serving others for His glory (Matt. 5:16; 1 Peter 4:11). Take the time to educate yourself and look into these things, so that your life can be pleasing to the Lord in all respects. wholewheatonline.com Search Ready Set Go! If you are doing God's Will on this earth, as it is being done in heaven, then the Lord has something special to say to you: Remember what you have received and heard. Keep it, obey it and repent, by putting My words into practice. If you will not wake up and repent, I will come like a thief and you will not know at what hour I will come to you (Rev. 3:3 NASB & AMP). Yes, God is talking to all of us who are overcoming our evil natures by keeping Jesus Christ’s deeds. He is reminding His followers to practice the deeds He did as an example, and to endure until He returns (Rev. 2:26). If we who are His true servants zealously continue to practice being servants of others until God’s Will begins to come from our hearts, we will all be ready (Matt. 5:20; Eph. 6:6). True followers of Jesus Christ are continually admonished not to become weary in a life of doing good (2 Thess. 3:13). We are to pray always that we will be found worthy to escape all those things which are shortly coming upon this world. We are to pray that we will be counted worthy to survive and stand before Jesus Christ physically when He returns (Luke 21:36). These are solemn warnings to believers which should be heeded. Many people will wait until what they feel is the last minute. Then they plan to live for God by being a servant to others. They feel they’re too busy to take Jesus Christ’s words seriously and take action in their lives now. As a result, that day will come upon them as a trap and it will be too late (Luke 21:34). I feel those who perished in the time of Noah had this very same attitude, don’t you? We know that Jesus will return to take His people to a place of safety. He will come suddenly, like a thief, so we need to prepare to be ready—all set to go. How can we be ready? 1. We should continually live the repentant life by being servants of others (Matt. 23:11). 2. We must study God’s word daily, looking for Scriptures that pertain to the righteous, and then fulfill those Scriptures within our lives. Some examples are Luke 14:13; 6:35; James 2:14-16 and Luke 3:10-14. 3. We are to pray for others always and for our own needs also (1 Thess. 5:17). 4. We should commit everything to God, from brushing our teeth for God first thing in the morning to our prayers just before we retire (Col. 3:17). 5. We should keep the Lord always on our minds, and keep our thoughts and deeds pleasing to Him in all respects (Phil. 4:8; Isa. 26:3). Zealous, wholehearted, steadfast, persevering—these words describe a true disciple who is totally committed to God. They describe one who has an honest and good heart. This type of person is bearing godly fruit. He is building godly righteous character that not only has promise for this life, but also the life to come (Luke 8:15; Rev. 3:10; Col. 1:10; 1 Cor. 9:24-27; 1 Tim. 4:8; 2 Tim. 2:5-6). Remember always, winners never quit and quitters never win. Let’s be all ready and set to go, so that when the Lord comes as a thief, we will be ready—set to go with Him.` PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • Godly Advice to the Unmarried | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Godly Advice to the Unmarried In years past, there was a thing called courtship. Many today call it dating. This is when a man and woman would get to know each other and see if they were compatible to be husband and wife. The man would woo a woman by taking her out to dinner, bringing her flowers, or other tokens of affection as acts of kindness. He would show to her, by his continual actions, that he was kind, generous, outgoing and a lovable type of person, marriage material, if you will. She would show him the same by her words and actions. Today, courtship or dating has become living together, fornicating and using one another for self-gratification. People engage in sexual activity with anyone they want, at any time, without much thought, many times with no intention of even continuing a relationship - much less marriage. This is considered lascivious in the Bible, which is being loose or indulging in improper lustful desires (Mark 7:22; 2 Cor. 12:21; Eph. 4:19 KJV). Yes, people have turned what was designed by God to be beautiful, into a nightmare of continual sin. How far removed we are from what was intended for our own good by a loving Creator. If a man looks upon a woman with lust, he has already committed adultery or fornication with her in his heart, says Jesus Christ our Creator and Sustainer (Matt. 5:28). How much more has one sinned, when enticing a man to lust after her, by removing her clothes and exposing her body for him to gaze upon. People do not realize that God is the one who brings sinner’s ways back on their own heads (Psalm 125:4; Jer. 4:18; 26:3, 13; 32:19; Ezek. 7:3, 9; 11:21; 18:32). Shouldn’t we, then, make all our ways pleasing to the Lord so He can bless us instead of curse us? The Lord is righteous in all His Ways and kind in all His deeds (Psalm 145:17). God wants us to make all our ways right before Him. He wants us to make all our deeds righteous and kind so He can bless us and answer our prayers. God hates sin and sin is lawlessness (1 John 3:4). God loves purity, decency and morality. God is against adultery, fornication, or sexual experimentation. The advice to an unmarried person is, if that person cannot demonstrate self-control sexually, then marry, for it is better to marry than to burn. We are warned and admonished by the word of God to flee immorality (1 Cor. 6:18). When you join yourself to another through intercourse, you become one flesh or the same as married in God’s word (1 Cor. 6:16; Matt. 19:6). This being so, you must now follow God’s commandments on marriage (1 Corinthians Chapter 7). However, if you do not honor that relationship, as if you were married, and go and have intercourse with someone else, now you have committed adultery (Matt. 5:31-32; 19:8-9). Because of immorality, let every man have his own wife (1 Cor. 7:2). We are constantly warned not to act immorally (1 Cor. 10:8). The Bible says immoral persons will go into the lake of fire, which will be located in Jerusalem, and this is the second death (Is. 31:9; Rev. 21:8). It is not a sin to think immoral thoughts, only to dwell on them. It is Satan’s job to tempt you. When you put immoral thoughts out of your mind, you resist Satan and he will flee from you. What you premeditate, you normally do, sooner or later. So premeditate doing good for God and overcome evil by doing good (1 Peter 3:11; Rom. 12:21; Rom. 2:7; 2 Peter 2:6; Jude 1:7). Many people do not know that the tests we go through in this life are from God. He wants to see whether or not we will obey Him and cry out to Him in our time of need. God hears the prayer of the righteous—those who do good and not evil continually; those who are the sheep and not the goats (John 9:31; Matt. 25:33-46). Remember always, God is watching us from a distance (Psalm 33:14). Galatians 5:19-21; Mark 7:21-23; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Ephesians 5:3-5; 2 Timothy 3:2-5; and Malachi 3:5 cover the acts of our sinful nature, which we are to put to death with the help of God’s Spirit (Rom. 8:13). Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things, God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient (Col. 3:5-6). Therefore, do not be partakers with them; for you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light. The fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth. Find out what pleases the Lord and engage in it daily for repentance (Eph. 5:6-10, 17; Matt. 3:2). In Bible times, those who were true disciples of Jesus Christ were overcoming evil by continually doing good for the Lord (Rom. 2:7; 12:21; Psalm 37:27). Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever, and so is His message of overcoming (Heb. 13:8). We need to put His words into action daily and do God’s Will so we will abide forever (John 8:51; 1 John 2:17). Remember, there is nothing impossible for God’s disciples to overcome (Luke 1:37; Matt 17:20). It just takes daily determination and fighting the good fight of faith for God (1 Tim. 6:12). You can do all things through Him that strengthens you (Phil. 4:13). PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • Perfect: A Woman to Woman Article | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Perfect: A Woman to Woman Article Most every girl dreams of the “perfect life.” She dreams of that special, awesome day when she’ll walk down the aisle to wed the man of her dreams and when she’ll have her own little house to take care of. As she dreams of her perfect house with her perfect man, she tends to forget that she must become the perfect woman. Isn’t this true? Being the perfect woman is very easy. The perfect woman of God puts God first by studying her Bible, praying and looking for opportunities to serve God, and continually doing good for God each day - doing all she does, even the most mundane tasks, for the glory of God. She is prepared to serve others at anytime and prays for others continually. Perfect means spiritually mature, stable, steadfast and immovable—continually serving God. Her life is centered around helping others to please God. She is a shining light in a dark world (Matt. 5:16). When she gives a lunch or party, she includes those who cannot pay her back—the blind, lowly, handicapped, orphans or widows (Luke 14:13-14). Proverbs 31:10-31 describes the perfect godly woman and Jesus Christ says to be perfect, as our heavenly Father is perfect (Matt. 5:48). When a woman strives to be perfect, she is a jewel to God and to her husband; in fact, she is worth far more than jewels, according to Proverbs 31:10. The godly woman represents strength and dignity, and she never points her finger or speaks wickedness about anyone (Prov. 31:25; Is. 58:9). When she opens her mouth she is kind, and uses wisdom, in her speech. She is caring, loving, compassionate and understanding, teaching God’s Ways of charity to others. She takes good care of her home and sees that it is clean. She is not lazy (Prov. 31:27). Her children love her and have only good to say about her (Prov. 31:28). She is like Dorcas—continually abounding with deeds of kindness and charity (Acts 9:36). “Charm is deceitful; beauty is vain; but a woman who fears (obeys) the Lord, she shall be praised” (Prov. 31:30). Study Proverbs 31:10-31. It is one of the greatest sets of Scriptures in the Bible because it offers guidelines on how to be a godly woman. We want to be aware of what God expects of a godly woman, so we can please Him in all our ways and be a perfect woman of God. • Forcing a Test | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Forcing a Test The devil tempted Jesus to jump down from a pinnacle, saying, "Is it not written that God will give His angels charge over You that You do not hurt Yourself?" Jesus answered, "It is also written, ‘You shall not force a test on God’" (Matt. 4:5-7). The New Covenant protects true servants of God from accidental ingestion of poison and from poisonous snake bites (Mark 16:18). But putting God to the test by willingly drinking poison or allowing yourself to be bitten by poisonous snakes would indeed be forcing a test on God. From time to time, certain religions have practiced these things, but they usually become extinct after a time! The puffer fish, caught off the coast of Japan, is served in fine Japanese restaurants as a delicacy. This fish at times contains a virulent poison that cannot be detected until after the person who eats it dies. People who order puffer fish realize they are taking a chance, but they continue to eat it anyway. When disciples of Jesus Christ eat what they know is not good for them to eat, they are indeed forcing a test on God. When believers smoke marijuana or cigarettes, which they know are unhealthful, they are forcing a test on God. When a person goes out on a limb and charges goods and services he cannot afford, saying, "I did it in faith that God would provide," he is forcing a test on God. Even many churches do the same thing by expanding their buildings in so-called faith and forcing a test on God because they do not have funds available to pay the bills. The Bible says owe money to no man (Rom. 13:8). This principle should be adhered to as much as possible. People need houses and cars, and in our modern society, it is nearly impossible to pay cash for such expensive items. However, people would have a lot less trouble if they did not run up bills, but would live within their means. Take time right now to examine your motives and determine if you are forcing a test on God in any areas of your life (Jer. 5:25). Are you going out on a spiritual limb, knowing it will not hold you, and trusting God to make sure the limb does not break? Are you spending money you do not have, hoping God will give you the money to pay your debts? Think, think, think! Then act wisely, with God’s wisdom and not your own (Matt. 6:33; Prov. 3:5-6; Psalm 21:2). • How to Accept Jesus Christ | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Accept Jesus Christ How can we accept Jesus Christ and be certain that He lives in us? Jesus makes a plain statement in John 14:23-24 that if we keep His words, His Father loves us, and He and His Father will come to us and make their abode with us. He also makes it abundantly clear that if we won’t or don’t put His words—which He received from the Father—into daily practice, we definitely do not love Him. It should be clear, then, that Jesus lives only in those who keep His words and put them into daily practice. The words Jesus spoke are spiritual, and continually abiding in them—doing what He said—is the only way to assure that you have eternal life (John 15:6-7; Luke 6:45-48). “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life” (John 6:63). Jesus’ spiritual words are the directions to eternal life, as well as how to live a blessed life while here on earth (Acts 3:26). Jesus said plainly that He could do nothing by Himself, unless it was something He saw the Father doing (John 5:19). No wonder we are to imitate Him daily (1 Cor. 11:1)! We are to be pleasing in God’s sight, just as Jesus was, by living the Way He gave us example to live (Jer. 27:5; Eph. 5:10). If we were to write down all the things Jesus told those who follow Him to live, we would have the exact directions and requirements for eternal life. We would know exactly what is expected of us as true disciples of Jesus Christ. Jesus says plainly, if we keep His words, by living them daily, we will never see spiritual death (John 8:51). Then, whatever Jesus did or said must be the Will of the Father, that we must imitate daily, if we are to abide forever. “The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the Will of God abides forever” (1 John 2:17). If we say we believe in Jesus and expect to never die, we must live the life that Jesus lived as our example. Jesus said, “Everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:26). Many do not. Many are taught they need do nothing to be saved. The word “believe” means obey and adhere to the teachings of Jesus Christ (John 3:36). In order to accept Jesus Christ and be sure He is living in you, you must obey Him daily. You must live as He lived. It’s just that plain and simple! • Understanding Baptism | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Understanding Baptism Believe it or not, in order to understand the subject of baptism a person needs to understand the word “fruits.” Colossians 1:10 says that we are to please the Lord in every respect, bearing fruit in every good work. The logical conclusion, then, is that fruits are good works and God in heaven is glorified by our good works (Matt. 5:16). True disciples of Jesus Christ let their lights shine and are godly examples to others by their good works. Titus 2:7 says, “In all things be an example of good works.” The theme of “works” or “fruits” is repeated many times in the Bible as a condition for true repentance. “Bring forth fruits in keeping with your repentance” (Matt. 3:8; Luke 3:8). People asked John the Baptist, “Then what shall we do?” (Luke 3:10). John told them to engage in a life of doing good works (Luke 3:11). Paul told ministers to constantly tell people to be careful to engage in good works for God’s glory (Titus 3:8). “Repent and turn to God, performing deeds appropriate to repentance” (Acts 26:20). It’s abundantly clear, then, that good works are necessary in order to repent, or live a life of repentance. Yet, very few people understand this concept. Once you understand fruits are works, it’s easy to understand what James is talking about in James 2:14-26. He is discussing the same message of repentance. John says the same thing in 1 John 3:18-19. You turn to God and seek Him by doing good (Rom. 3:10-12; 2:7). When you do good works for repentance, you become a doer of the law and become justified by the blood of Christ. You are a true sheep (Rom. 2:13; James 1:22-25, 27). To do God’s Will is to live a life of doing good for God in Christ’s name, and not to get weary (Heb. 13:16-21; Col. 3:17; Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13). Doing the same kind of good works as Christ did, for Christ, is how you overcome evil (Rev. 2:26; Rom. 12:21). Simple, isn’t it? And Jesus says it’s very easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30). The lowly know it is easy and pleasant (1 Cor. 1:26-28). If you are now practicing this godly way of life and have put your hand to the plow, which represents a life of doing good works for God, and you are determined not to desire your old way of life again, then you are ready to be baptized. You have truly counted the cost, and you have truly repented because you are living the repentant life. You are now imitating Christ and the Father (1 Cor. 11:1; Eph. 5:1). Educate yourself on the subject of baptism, through the articles on our website. Then, be baptized, as Jesus Christ was by John the Baptist in the Jordan River. (Matt. 28:19). Then, simply ask the Lord in prayer for His Holy Spirit and He will give it to you. You may even ask the Lord for a confirmation that He has given you His Spirit and He will give you that sign (Luke 11:13). Go directly to Jesus Christ in prayer (John 5:40). Now, study God’s word daily to show yourself approved to God so that God can teach you how easy it is to put His words into daily practice in your life (2 Tim. 2:15; 3:16; Matt. 11:30). Continue living the life of a servant toward others daily and overcome the evil in you by continually doing good for God (Mark 9:35; Psalm 34:14; 37:27). Pray always that you will be found worthy to escape what is about to come upon the world (Mal. 3:16-17; Rev. 12:14; Is. 2:10). Finally, do not get weary in doing good for God (2 Thess. 3:13; Gal. 6:9; Titus 2:7, 14; 3:8; Matt. 5:16). Do not be like many who profess His name, but deny Him by the way they continue to live (Titus 1:16). Instead, you will be rescued because your name is written in the book (Dan. 12:1). • Study to Show Yourself Approved | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Study to Show Yourself Approved Part of the Will of God is to study the Bible (2 Tim. 2:15). Many who study the Bible, study for information rather than correction. Disciples of Jesus Christ are admonished not to be foolish, but understand what the Will of God is (Eph. 5:17). It appears that people who claim to be His disciples today are least informed about this aspect of spiritual and godly living (Col. 1:9). God’s word says that all Scripture is profitable for teaching, reproof, correction and training in how to practice righteousness, so that the man of God may know how to do good to please God (1 John 2:29; Matt. 5:16; 2 Tim. 3:16-17). How many people have studied the life of Christ for many years, but have never started to live like Him? We are to imitate Jesus Christ and the Father by daily practicing the sayings of Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 11:1; Eph. 5:1; 3 John 11). Jesus’ words will judge all humanity at the end of the age (John 12:47-48). Just being a Bible scholar does not justify a person, but being a doer of the word does (2 Tim. 3:7; Rom. 2:13; James 1:22; Luke 6:46). Jesus Christ made Himself perfectly clear about practicing righteousness. We are to perform the Father’s Will in our daily lives, as it is done in heaven (1 John 2:17; John 7:17; Matt. 6:10). Jesus says to do as He says, keep His word, walk in His commandments and act upon His sayings (Luke 8:21; 11:28; 6:47-48; 2 John 6; Matt. 7:24). The central teaching of the Bible is to engage in a life of good deeds, endure and not become weary in well-doing, and overcome our evil natures by doing good deeds (Titus 3:8; 2 Thess. 3:13; Heb. 10:36; Gal. 6:9; Rom. 2:7; 12:21; 6:18-19). If this is the kind of peculiar people Christ is making for Himself—and He is—we should then be studying the Bible to train ourselves in righteousness (Titus 2:14). As we keep the sayings of Jesus Christ and study to show ourselves approved to God, we will always be ready with the right answer, and ready to lead many to righteousness (Matt. 5:19; 1 Peter 3:15; Dan. 12:3). wholewheatonline.com Search Purity - A Woman to Woman Article God frequently tests me to see how I will react to persecution. He allows Satan to orchestrate that persecution to see if I truly will love my enemies and those who persecute me. The most difficult persecution is when it comes from within your own home. Be ready! It will happen to test those God is calling and choosing. It is important to pray daily for God’s strength to handle any situation that may come up. Jesus lived to do good to everyone, even His enemies, and we should too (Matt. 5:44). Jesus Christ didn’t complain when they crucified Him. He said, “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34; 1 Peter 4:13). Every time my nature even begins to take offense, I say, “Father, forgive them; because they do not know what they are doing.” There isn’t time to be offended. Every precious minute must be happy and filled with thoughts of God’s Will and Ways, and God’s love for others. I must keep a pure heart and mind at all times. If I have done my best for God, I will say as Jesus said, “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God (Matt. 5:8). I will remember that to the pure, all things are pure (Titus 1:15). Let’s practice righteousness by practicing purity in our thoughts and actions. We must be strong with God’s strength and keep God’s Ways and God’s Will uppermost in our minds. If we keep clean hands and a pure heart, we will receive God’s blessings (Psalm 24:4-5). If we remain sensible and pure, the word of God will not be dishonored (Titus 2:5). Philippians 4:8 reminds us all inclusively, “Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything is worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things.” PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

Finding Inner Strength When we read about early disciples of Jesus Christ and the trials and tortures they went through, we realize they had to have inner strength to endure to the end. What is this mysterious inner strength and where does it come from? Most importantly, how do we obtain it? We must look into God’s Word to find out how to have inner strength. We are to cast all our anxieties, our troubled thoughts, our problems and our frustrations on God, and He will take them from us. There is no more condemnation for us (feeling bad about ourselves or our shortcomings) when we are living the way Jesus Christ showed us to live daily. How many people cast all their anxieties, troubles and woes on Jesus Christ, and experience the inner strength that comes from God by doing so? Remember, God does not hear sinners, but only those who show Him respect by doing His Will daily on this earth as it is being done in heaven. So let’s live for God and then trust in Him for the inner strength that cannot fail. We know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is God-fearing and does His will, He hears him. John 9:31 Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth. 19 We will know by this that we are of the truth, and will assure our heart before Him 20 in whatever our heart condemns us; for God is greater than our heart and knows all things. 21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God. 1 John 3:18-21 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. • In League With the Stones of the Field | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search In League With the Stones of the Field When was the last time you saw a sparrow die of starvation (Matt. 6:26; 10:29)? Who feeds the lions and the ravens (Job 38:39-41)? Isn’t it their Creator? How would you like to have all your needs taken care of by your Creator and never have to worry about anything ever again? You can if you seek God’s kingdom first by practicing God’s righteous Ways in your life (Matt. 6:33). Birds and animals were created by God to conform to the Will of God and to perform accordingly. Because of this, all their needs are met. Man, on the other hand, was created in the image of God, with the potential of God but lacking God’s nature. God’s nature is God’s Will or God’s Ways. When you set your will to do something, you are accomplishing your own will or ways. God says His Ways are as far removed from ours as the east is from the west (Is. 55:8-9). Our ways are not God’s Ways, but by keeping God’s Ways, we can have Jesus Christ’s nature formed in us (Gal. 4:19). We must stamp out Satan’s will in our lives by resisting him daily and doing only God’s Will - which is righteousness - on this earth as it is done in heaven (Matt. 6:10). Jesus Christ did this and overcame, and we are to follow His example (Rev. 3:21). We stamp out Satan’s will in our lives by doing only God’s Will in our lives, and by glorifying God with good works done in Jesus Christ’s name (Rom. 10:2-3; Matt. 5:16; Col. 3:17). We continue to do our good in this way until our righteousness exceeds the pharisaical stage and as happy slaves of Jesus Christ, we do God’s Will from the heart (Eph. 6:6; Matt. 5:20; 25:33-46). Once this occurs, we are fulfilling God’s purpose for our existence and we are in league with the stones of the field (Job 5:23). Now, God will take care of all our needs and all things will be added to us (Matt. 6:33). • How to Put Your Marriage Into the Will of God | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Put Your Marriage Into the Will of God How simple it is to live like Christ! No wonder He said His yoke is easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30). Many books have been written on marriage and marriage relationships, but how blessed is the man who turns to God, the author and creator of marriage. A godly wife is constantly doing things to please her husband because she knows this is pleasing to God. If her husband doesn’t notice some things she does for him, she doesn’t get upset because she knows God noticed and her rewards and blessings come from Him. If she demands that he notice what she does for him, then she is practicing self-righteousness to be noticed by her husband (Matt. 6:1). Instead, she does all that she does in word and deed in the name of Jesus Christ to glorify the Father in heaven, as Jesus instructs her to do (Col. 3:17; Matt. 5:16). She knows God has a book and He keeps accurate records on all the deeds she has done for His glory. She is bearing fruit for eternal life by disciplining herself according to godliness (1 Tim. 4:7). She knows that deeds done in Christ’s name result in great blessings, and that we will all be rewarded according to our deeds now, as well as when Jesus Christ returns (Rev. 22:12; Eph. 6:8; 1 Tim. 4:8). This is a double reward. She also knows that she overcomes her old nature by keeping Christ’s deeds (Rev. 2:26; Rom. 12:21). Problems in a marriage come from a lack of communication, which results in not being close to each other. When you were first married, you were close friends. This should never cease to be. Here are some tips on staying close: 1) Pray together in bed while holding one another’s hand. Pray for others, friends, family and loved ones who are in need. Your problems will seem small in comparison. 2) Never insist on your own way. Never demand. 3) Never threaten or give ultimatums. 4) Always forgive — always forget. Never let a bad moment turn into a bad day. 5) Always stay close to God in prayer. Therefore, when a couple that is living to please only God has a disagreement, they tell each other how they feel, and they both ask God to help them work it out. They leave all bad feelings with God (Eph. 4:26-27). Simple, isn’t it? What’s even better, it works! Try it! You’ll like it! You’ll be glad you did, and so will everyone else. • The Message of Overcoming | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search The Message of Overcoming The word of God often speaks of "overcoming" (Rev. 2:7, 11, 17, 26; 3:5, 12, 21; 5:5; 21:7). It also speaks of "deeds," which is watered down from the original Greek word "works" (Rev. 2:2-3, 5, 19, 23, 26; 3:1-2, 8, 15-16). These works, which a follower of Christ must keep, are Christ's works (Rev. 2:26). They are the same ones Jesus Christ kept in order to overcome the world (John 16:33). When a believer dies, he ceases from glorifying God with good works and his good works follow him to the grave (Matt. 5:16; Rev. 14:13; John 5:28-29). Disciples of Jesus Christ are called blessed when they die keeping the works of the Lord. The fine linen and white robes given to the saints represent the righteous acts (good works) they did for God the Father (Rev. 19:8). They did all their works in Jesus' name while living on earth (Col. 3:17; Rev. 6:11). They didn't do their good works for reasons of being noticed by men (Matt. 6:1). Jesus is purifying for Himself a peculiar people who are zealous for good works and are turning away from evil by doing good for God (Titus 2:14; 1 Peter 3:11; Rom. 12:21). Paul told believers to engage in good works constantly and that this is something they would have to learn how to do (Titus 3:8, 14; Is. 26:9-10; 1:16-17). They were admonished to encourage one another to love and good works (Heb. 10:24). They were also told not to get weary in doing good works (Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13). Christ Himself even said some people would do greater works than He did (John 14:12). Why are we to do good works? Doing good works is how we overcome our natures and live the repentant life (Psalm 37:27). Jesus Christ, our true Teacher, says the righteousness we do must eventually come from our hearts or we cannot enter the kingdom (Rom. 10:3; Matt. 5:20; Eph. 6:6). We must strive and force ourselves into the kingdom that is within us (Luke 13:24; 16:16; 17:21, KJV). We must seize it for ourselves by daily disciplining ourselves for the purpose of godliness (Matt. 11:12). This process of overcoming is very easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30). It is not burdensome (1 John 5:3). It involves a life of sharing, of caring and of learning to be a servant of others, and it is called the Way of righteousness (Luke 3:11; James 2:15-16; 1 John 3:17-18; Matt. 25:33-40; 20:26; 21:32). Overcoming is how we bear good fruit on our trees and assure that we won't be burned up (Matt. 3:10). Good fruit is good works (Col. 1:10). We enter the good life by imitating God's Way of life. We depart from evil by doing good so we will abide forever (Psalm 37:27). Simple, isn't it? However, it is simply not known or practiced by many people in the world today. Jesus' disciples practiced that Way (Rom. 2:7). Isn't it time we returned to the true faith that was once delivered to the saints (Jude 3; 1 Tim. 6:3; Titus 1:1)? • How to Be An Overcomer | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Be An Overcomer The Bible says human nature is not good (Jer. 17:9; Gen. 8:21). Therefore, we are told to consider the old self as dead if we are to make headway as disciples of Jesus Christ (Rom. 6:11). God, in His wisdom, knew that if we were to come out of evil, we would have to have something good to do. So, He has told us in His word to overcome our evil natures by doing good (Rom. 12:21). The Apostle Paul also admonished those who were believers to engage in good deeds because these things are good and profitable (Titus 3:8). Doing good is the way we produce fruit for God, and thus, prove ourselves to be true disciples of Jesus Christ (Titus 3:14). John 15:8 says, "By this is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples." We see, then, that we glorify the Father when we bear fruit. Good works are represented by the expression "fruit." We can see this by reading Matthew 5:16 - "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven." and Colossians 1:10 - "…so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God." We could keep one of the sayings of Christ by practicing hospitality (Luke 14:13). We could have the poor, the crippled and the blind over for dinner some evening when we invite our friends. This would allow us to express God’s love in our hearts toward others and glorify our Father in heaven. Jesus Christ gave us a precious list of things we could do in Matthew 25:33-40 and in the teachings of the Sermon on the Mount found in Matthew chapters 5, 6 and 7. Since Jesus Christ is making a peculiar people who are purified and zealous for good deeds, don’t you think we should be doing some good works (Titus 1:10; 2:7, 14; 3:8)? Jesus took on the form of a servant, leaving us an example, that we should be servants, too. Who is there to harm you if you prove zealous for good deeds (1 Peter 3:13)? wholewheatonline.com Search Understanding Repentance Repent (Matt. 3:2)! The Bible says that in order to repent, we must stop living just for self and start living for God daily by serving others in the name of Jesus Christ, His Son (Phil. 2:3; Col. 3:17). If the meaning of repentance was clearly known today and completely understood, wouldn’t we have more true disciples of Jesus Christ and only one church? Jesus Christ came to show us individually how to be a servant to others for the glory of the Father (Eph. 5:1; Matt. 20:28). He said the greatest in His kingdom would be the servant of the most (Matt. 20:26; 23:11). We have examples of Christ’s disciples such as Dorcas, who was abounding with deeds of kindness and charity which she did continually (Acts 9:36). To truly repent we must live a life of doing good for God, like Dorcas, and overcome evil by keeping Christ’s works or deeds, which are all good. We must have a faith of good works, not a dead faith (James 2:26). It must not be a faith that professes to know God but is worthless for any good deeds (Titus 1:16). This has been misunderstood by some to be preaching “salvation by works.” It is true that eternal life is a free gift from God which cannot be earned, but the Scriptures go on to say eternal life will only be given to those who repent and overcome their evil natures by doing good for God (Eph. 2:8-10; Titus 3:5-8; Rev. 2:11; 3:5). God’s word says we must be considered worthy to attain to the age of the resurrection from the dead and we must have good works to be resurrected (Luke 20:35; John 5:29). Satan’s “good-for-nothing” message keeps many people from becoming new creations with Christ formed in them (Gal. 4:19). The people who are not involved in doing good works appropriate for repentance need not be concerned about being complete, because they lack the complete message of salvation (Acts 26:20; James 1:4; 2 Tim. 2:26; 2 Cor. 4:3)!The very first words in the salvation message of long ago, as well as today, are, “Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Entering the kingdom of heaven requires daily repentance, which is living the Way Jesus came to show us, called the Way of righteousness (Matt. 21:32; 2 Peter 2:21). Repentance means we are to stop doing Satan’s will in our lives and start doing God’s Will (2 Tim. 2:25-26). This is how we cease to be Satan’s children and become God’s children. • How to Be Complete in Christ | WHOLE WHEAT

How to Be Complete in Christ What does the Apostle Paul mean when He tells us to be "complete"? A person who is complete has perfect love coming from a pure heart and a good conscience. He is constantly showing God’s love to others by his actions. An incomplete person lives in fear of doing wrong. He is constantly at odds with his nature. He wants to do one thing, but God’s word says to do something else. A person who is not yet complete is in the process of realizing, like Paul, that nothing good dwells in him and that he must be set free from his evil nature. As long as you are fighting the good fight, overcoming evil by doing good, and practicing righteousness in your daily life to please God, you are abiding in Jesus Christ. You are not walking according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. Your body is alive to righteousness because you are daily putting to death the deeds of the body and living to the Spirit by practicing righteousness. Yes, there will be some suffering involved in this process, but it is only a little. When you are complete, you will walk in perfect love with no fear inside. God will have perfected your faith as a result of your works. Your life will radiate peace. Your mind will be at peace. Finally, brethren, rejoice, be made complete, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. 2 Corinthians 13:11 But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. 1 Timothy 1:5 For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not. 19 For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want. Romans 7:18-19 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 1 John 4:15-16 For if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. Romans 8:13 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. 1 John 4:18 You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected. James 2:22 He must turn away from evil and do good; He must seek peace and pursue it. 1 Peter 3:11 PREV NEXT Click below for full Bible Study: What Does Complete Mean?

wholewheatonline.com Search Understanding Human Nature What is human nature? It is sneaky, indifferent, evil, underhanded, untrustworthy, double-minded, unstable, destructive, degenerative, unreasoning, uncooperative, competitive, vile and evil in every way. It looks for what is wrong rather than what is right (Jer. 6:16). It sees the negative and hates the positive. It is dark because it is evil and hates the light, which is goodness. The Bible goes on and on, making list upon list about human nature and the deeds of the flesh (Gal. 5:19-21; Mark 7:21-23; Eph. 5:5; Jude 15-16; 2 Tim. 3:2-4; Rom. 1:29-32; Mal. 3:5). Human nature is evil and contains no good thing. Even the good we do in the flesh, is like filthy rags to God (Is. 64:6). The good we do in the flesh puffs us up, makes us haughty and arrogant, and makes us feel that we don’t need repentance. All the good we do in the flesh is done for self-interest, or for gaining advantage in one way or another. The good we do in the Spirit, however, is the complete opposite. When we overcome our evil natures by doing good works for God on a daily basis, and heed God’s warnings to do what we do in secret and not blow our horns, we begin to feel our old evil natures die (Matt. 6:1; 5:16, 20). We starve out the evil by just doing good for God with our bodies, our minds and our mouths. We force our bodies to do what is right with the power from the Holy Spirit, whom God gives to those who obey Him (Acts 5:32). God never made a nature He couldn’t crush, but He does need your cooperation, participation and effort to form Christ’s new nature in you (Psalm 50:22-23). He wants you to practice righteousness for Him daily. He wants you to put your hand to the plow and not turn back, or stop, until that nature is put to death. Then, God has had a chance to perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you in His love (Luke 9:62; 1 Peter 5:10; 1 John 4:18).❑ PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • How Do We Imitate God? | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How Do We Imitate God? "The Lord is righteous in all His Ways and kind in all His deeds" (Psalm 145:17). The Lord is good to all (Psalm 145:9). He wants us to be like He is. To please God, we must imitate Jesus Christ in our daily behavior (Eph. 5:1; 1 Cor. 11:1). What did the Lord do that we should imitate? In the Bible, people asked the same question. "What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?" (John 6:28). Notice that the works of God Jesus performed were all done in the Father’s name (John 10:25). We are to do our works for God, in word and deed, in Jesus Christ’s name (Col. 3:17). That is what it means to believe in Jesus Christ, because the word believe means obey and adhere to the teachings of Jesus Christ (John 3:36). Jesus said He did nothing of His own will, but only what He saw the Father doing (John 5:19). What is the Father doing? Psalm 10:14 says God is the helper of the orphan. He provides out of His goodness to the poor (Psalm 68:10). He comes to the aid of the needy when they need help and He helps those who have no helper (Psalm 72:12). He has compassion on the poor and the needy (Psalm 72:13; 16:5). He executes justice for the oppressed. He gives food to the hungry and sets the prisoners free (Psalm 146:7). Remember, prisoners are not only those who are in jail, but those who continue to be enslaved to their old natures because they remain religiously deceived. The deeds mentioned here are the works of the Lord. Jesus performed these works in the Father’s name and we are to do the same. Job understood that this is what it means to please God and to be blameless in His sight (Job 29:12-16). Daniel knew this is how we please God and overcome our evil natures (Dan. 4:27). New Testament disciples were told to overcome evil by doing good deeds and to be careful to engage in doing good deeds (Rom. 2:7; 12:21; Titus 3:8; Eph. 2:10; 1 Peter 3:10-11, 13). This is how we bear fruit for Christ and prove to be His disciples (John 15:8; Col. 1:10). You will have to learn to do these things and by your patient perseverance, you will win your soul (Luke 13:24; 21:19). That perseverance is being zealous or enthusiastic for doing good, studying God’s word and praying. This is the armor of God (1 Peter 3:13; Eph. 6:11). ℹ️Study God’s word daily by subject. Pray for others and for your own needs. Do as much good as you can each day for God’s glory (Matt. 5:16). This is the way to be an overcomer for Jesus Christ and how you imitate God (Rev. 2:26). • How to Commit Your Ways to the Lord | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Commit Your Ways to the Lord One should continually remind himself that Jesus Christ said His Ways are easy and very pleasant (Matt. 11:30). Jesus Christ says one must have the mind of a child to understand His true message (Matt. 11:25). A child is teachable, correctable, willing to change, and willing to admit he’s been wrong about many things (Mark 10:15). One must have this attitude to enter the kingdom of heaven (Matt. 18:3-4; 19:14). With this attitude of a child, then, let the mind be in you that is in Jesus Christ (Phil. 2:5; Eph. 5:10). Jesus always did things to please the Father (John 8:29). The words that came from His mouth were the Father’s. We are to do the same (1 Peter 4:11; Col. 3:8, 10; Eph. 4:29). Whatever is good, peaceable, respectable, admirable and uplifting, we are to think on these things (Phil. 4:8-9). We are not to have a tongue that says good things one minute and bad things the next. Instead, we are to use it for good all the time (James 3:9-10). By practicing these Scriptures in our daily walk with God, we will be committing our minds and tongues to Christ. Remember, we must be diligent and zealous, and we must persevere in order to make headway. Now the only thing left is to get the body to zealously do good for God (1 Peter 3:13). Remember, doing good is how God is glorified (Matt. 5:16). It is how He is well pleased (Heb. 13:16). Doing good for God’s glory is His Will and the Way He wishes to be spiritually worshiped (Heb. 13:21; Rom. 12:1-2). Ask yourself, "Have I ever been weary in doing good for God?" (Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13). If you have, you will know that you are in the process of committing your ways to the Lord (1 Peter 3:11; 1 Tim. 4:7). If not, then it is time to begin, because it is a great way to live. PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • Practice Makes Perfect | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Practice Makes Perfect Psalm 4:4 says, “Tremble and do not sin.” Generally, religious people today do not fear God to such an extent that they tremble when they sin. People claim they cannot help but sin, because we are all sinners and people who say they have no sins are liars. They use 1 John 1:8, as an excuse to continue sinning. Yet, at the same time, Jesus says we are to ℹ️be perfect as the heavenly Father is perfect (Matt. 5:48). Jesus also commanded one person to go and sin no more lest something worse would come upon him. Was Jesus’ command unreasonable, or can we be perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect? Did Jesus teach this seemingly unreasonable doctrine about not sinning and being perfect to His disciples? One thing for sure is, not many people know the answer to this Bible mystery. The apostle Paul had the attitude that he had not obtained the state of perfection yet and therefore, he felt he wasn’t worthy to come up in a resurrection to eternal life (Phil. 3:11, 14). What a far cry his gospel is from those today who preach, “Give your heart to the Lord and just believe; you’ll be saved.” Some even go so far as to say you cannot lose your salvation once you have it. They use only certain Scriptures and avoid others that will not back up their false doctrines of half truths. Jesus Himself, who cannot lie, said you have to be considered worthy to attain to the age of the resurrection (Luke 20:35). Doesn’t He know what He’s talking about? Jesus told those who follow Him to beware of the teachings of the Pharisees (Matt. 16:6-12). Those Pharisees, or hypocrites, exist today much more than they did in Jesus’ day. Remember, there is only one true teaching and that comes from Jesus Christ alone (John 14:6). Let’s see what God’s word, the Bible, has to say about being perfect and not sinning. There is a word that is not used much or understood in God’s word. It is a word that few people realize is a key that unlocks the true gospel. That word is practice. We’ve all heard the expression, “Practice makes perfect,” but not many people take that phrase seriously. Yes, practice, when it is connected to ℹ️righteousness, does make one perfect, as Jesus said in Matthew 5:48. Ironically, the key word “practicing” is used for the first time, in the New Testament, in the very next verse. In Matthew 6:1, Jesus Christ Himself says to His true disciples; “Beware of practicing your righteousness to be noticed by men.” These words show that true disciples of Jesus Christ practice righteousness, and it isn’t just a few hours a week. It’s all the time. Why are true followers of Jesus Christ continually practicing righteousness—continually doing good? The first reason is, they are imitating their Savior, Jesus Christ, who continually went about doing good (Acts 10:38). Were Jesus Christ’s true disciples abounding with deeds of kindness and charity which they continually did? The answer is, yes (Acts 9:36)! This is how the Father in heaven is glorified and it is the Way a true disciple, or overcomer, let’s his light shine before others (Matt. 5:16). The second reason disciples of Jesus Christ are practicing righteousness is, for overcoming. You see, they are disciplining themselves daily for the purpose of godliness (1 Tim. 4:7). Jesus gave His true followers instructions on righteousness and warned them that the righteousness they were practicing had to exceed the righteousness of the Pharisees, or they would not be converted. In other words, they would not enter the ℹ️kingdom of God within until their righteousness came from their hearts. They would not receive the new nature, Jesus Christ’s nature formed in them, until their righteousness was no longer done hypocritically (Matt. 5:20; Gal. 4:19; Luke 17:21). All God’s Ways are righteous (Psalm 145:17). All Jesus’ Ways were righteous. All our ways must be made righteous before God. How can this be? God’s Ways are God’s Will, so then, God’s Will is righteousness. God says we are to do His Will from the heart, and then we will have His nature formed in us (Eph. 6:6; 1 Peter 5:10). There will be a certain amount of testing or suffering, but you can be sure it is nothing compared to the new nature and the revelation of His glory (1 Peter 4:12-13). In effect, when you practice righteousness each day for God, you are overcoming the evil one, overcoming your evil side, your evil nature, your satanic nature. Every time you resist the evil impulses of your snake-like nature, the snake and the evil impulses grow weaker. The food that keeps the snake strong and healthy in your body is sin (Gen. 4:7). Satan is put to death in your body by practicing righteousness for God and His glory (Rom. 12:21). This allows God to crush Satan and put him under your heel or authority (Rom. 16:20). Psalm 37:27 puts it all together when it says, “Overcome evil by doing good, so you will abide forever [live forever].” Many do not know that being born again is the ℹ️overcoming process. The one Scripture that is never mentioned by those who falsely say they are born again is 1 John 2:29. It is saying if you know that Jesus Christ is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is truly born of Him. True disciples practice righteousness daily for God’s glory, for God’s blessings and rewards, and for overcoming their evil natures. They practice righteousness so they can have Christ’s nature formed in them, and enter God’s rest as mentioned in Hebrews 4:10 and Galatians 4:19. Now, here is a point on righteousness about which many remain deceived. First John 3:7 says, “The one who practices righteousness [for God] is [considered] righteous just as God is righteous.” God’s word said it, we believe it, and that settles it. You are righteous in God’s eyes when you practice righteousness to please Him each day. What about those who will not overcome by practicing righteousness daily for God? They remain of the devil, according to God’s word, which cannot lie (1 John 3:10; Heb. 6:18). Jesus overcame the world. He was tested in all things and Satan could not find any fault in Him (John 14:30; 16:33). We, too, are to overcome the evil pulls of the flesh and put them to death with the help of God’s Spirit (Rom. 8:13; Gal. 5:16). If we don’t or won’t obey Jesus Christ, we won’t be covered by the blood of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:2). God gives His Spirit only to those who will obey Him (Acts 5:32). ℹ️We must live as Jesus Christ gave us example to live, and overcome our evil natures by keeping His works. We must endure to the end keeping them, if we are to be covered by His blood (John 14:12; Rev. 2:26; 3:21; 21:7). The only exception for anyone is a situation similar to that of the thief who was dying on a cross. Otherwise, there is no excuse for refusing to overcome. The word perfect, in the Bible, means spiritually mature. See the margin note in Philippians 3:15. Mature followers of Jesus Christ no longer practice sin in their lives, but only practice righteousness toward God for His glory. They do all the good that they do in the name of Jesus Christ as they have been commanded in Colossians 3:17. They do not hold out on God in certain areas of their lives, but are wholeheartedly devoted to pleasing God. They are perfect in attitude, perfect in gratitude. They have developed honest and good hearts, if they didn’t have them to begin with (Luke 8:15). They have been made complete (2 Cor. 13:9, 11). They have rested from all their works of the flesh and have entered the kingdom of God within, which is God’s rest (Heb. 4:10; Luke 17:21). Yes, practice does make perfect and idleness is the devil’s hand tool. That fact has been explained, and proven in great detail, in this study. If you want to be perfect, then you had better start to practice the faith of Jesus Christ, because there is only one faith (Eph. 4:5). God bless you in your walk with God. • Jesus Command: Love One Another | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Jesus Command: Love One Another Many think today that we automatically love one another, as a natural result of being a follower of Jesus Christ and having God’s Spirit within us. Do you agree with this? Let’s see what the word of God says. First let’s examine these Scriptures: John 15:12—Jesus Christ said, “This is My commandment, that you love one another.” John 15:14—“You are My friends, if you do what I command you.” John 15:17—“This I command you, that you love one another.” Hebrews 10:24—Let us stimulate and provoke one another to love. 1 John 3:10-11—Anyone who does not practice righteousness for God, or anyone who does not love his brother, remains a child of the devil. This is the message we have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. 1 John 3:14—We know we have passed out of death into life, because we love each other (the brethren). Anyone who does not love those who are living for God, abides in death. 1 John 3:16-19—We know we love those, who are living for God, if we would lay down our lives for each other. Whoever sees his brother or sister in need and closes his heart against them, how does the love of God abide in him? Let us not love in word but in deed (good works). We will know by this that we are of the truth and we will assure our hearts before God. 1 John 3: 23—And this is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another just as Jesus commanded us. 1 John 4:7-8—Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God. Everyone who loves is born of God (born again) and knows God. The one who does not love his brothers and sisters who live for God, does not know God, for God is love. 1 John 4:11-13—Beloved, if God loved us, we also ought to love one another. If we love one another, God abides in us and His love is perfected in us. This is how we know we abide in Him and He in us. We know also He has given us His Spirit. 1 John 4:16-21—God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. This is how love is perfected in us. We will have confidence in the day of judgment, because as Jesus lived, we also live like Him in this world. There is no guilt or fear in love, but perfect love casts out all guilt or fear, because the one who fears or feels guilty is not perfected in love. We love, because He loved us first. If someone says, “I love God,” and does not love his brother, he hates his brother; he is a liar, for the one who does not love those who live to please God daily, whom he has seen and knows, cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God should love his brothers and sisters who love God also. 1 John 5:2-3—By this we know that we love those whom God has called, when we love God and keep His commands. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and they are not hard to keep. 2 John 4-5—I was very glad to find some of your children walking in truth, just as we have received commandment to do from the Father. And now I ask you, lady, not as writing to you a new commandment, but the one which we have had from the beginning, that we love one another. 3 John 11—The one who does good is from God. How do you love one another? Share with others, and thus learn how to share (Acts 2:45-46; Titus 3:14; 1 Tim. 6:18). Love each other with God’s love, that He will give you liberally. Show kindness to others (Prov. 14:22). Pray for others continually and from the heart (1 Thess. 5:17). Say only good of others, always giving the benefit of any doubt (Eph. 4:29, Luke 6:31). Be genuine and complimentary to others (Luke 6:45). If you know someone who is sick or going through an illness, send them a note of encouragement or a small gift to show them love (Prov. 19:6; Acts 9:36). Open the door for someone, buy someone a cup of coffee, let someone go ahead of you in line (Prov. 11:25; Phil. 2:4; 1 Cor. 10:24). Go to nursing homes and cheer up the lonely for God. This will make the widow’s heart leap for joy (Job 29:13). Show hospitality to the elderly, the blind or crippled, and fulfill Jesus’ commands (Luke 14:13). There is so much good we can do, it’s really exciting. “But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary of doing good” (2 Thess. 3:13). In closing, follow the same advice that the apostle Paul gave the people of God in Macedonia: For indeed you do practice love toward all your brothers, but I urge you brethren to excel still more and do not get weary in doing good for God’s glory (1 Thess. 4:10; 2 Thess. 3:13). Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven (Matt. 5:16). • Conditions for the Blood of Jesus | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Conditions for the Blood of Jesus The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all of our sins - past, present and future. But are there any conditions that must be met before the blood applies? Yes, 1 Peter 1:2 says we must obey Jesus Christ first. What happens when a person repents and is baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins? Everyone knows that disciples of Jesus Christ are to live a different way of life. Some people today are simply told to stop sinning. Others are told only what the church expects of them in order to be right with God in the eyes of that particular faith. Some are told that God wants them to keep the Ten Commandments, love God and love their fellow man, but it is never explained to them how this is done. One thing is for sure, there is much confusion as to exactly what you should do after you are baptized. Man might be confused, but God is not the author of confusion (1 Cor. 14:33). Satan is that author and he loves to leave you hanging. He gives you information, but never enough to make a permanent change for the good in your life. Jesus came that we might have peace, abundance and joy in our daily lives (John 10:10; 17:13; Acts 3:19, 26; Rom. 14:17). In 1 Peter 2:24 it says, "Jesus Christ bore our sins in His body, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness." How do you live to righteousness? Simply practice righteousness (1 John 2:29; 3:7, 10). How do you practice righteousness? Engage in good deeds (Titus 3:8; Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13). To what degree should you do them? Zealously (1 Peter 3:13; Matt. 5:20)! Why zealously? Because zealously overcoming evil with good, along with daily study of God’s word and prayer, is putting on the full armor of God (Rom. 12:21; Eph. 6:11). Most people who profess Jesus Christ as their Savior are totally unaware of this. What can you do to practice righteousness? Look for people who are in need and help them (Matt. 25:33-40). Share your clothes, your food, your money, your time and your love with them (Luke 3:10-11; James 2:15-26; 1 John 3:17-19). Entertain widows, orphans, the blind, lame and poor (Luke 14:13). Have them over for dinner. Do something; do not just sit there (Titus 1:16; 2:7)! Walk in the light. Keep yourself busy with acts of righteousness, charity and love. Be like Dorcas (Acts 9:36; 10:35). Then the blood of Jesus Christ can cover your sins (1 John 1:7; 1 Peter 1:2; Acts 5:32; Luke 6:46; 11:28; Matt. 7:24; James 1:22; John 12:47-48). Remember, if good works cover a multitude of sins, you had better have some, don’t you think (1 Peter 4:8, 18; James 5:20)? • Learning How to Forgive & Forget | WHOLE WHEAT

Learning How to Forgive & Forget We are reminded in Ephesians 4:32 to be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven us. Colossians 2:13-14 clearly tells us that we are dead when we are in our sins or transgressions, but when the Lord forgives us all our transgressions, the certificate of debt against us is canceled and taken away. Jesus Christ’s death assures us this when we live to please Him daily by practicing righteousness. 1 John 1:9 tells us again that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Now we see how forgiving our heavenly Father is. But does He forget? Let’s look at Hebrews 10:17. “And their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” Does God forgive and forget? Yes, indeed! So let’s imitate Him daily by forgiving and forgetting the wrongs and offenses that have been done to us, just as Jesus Christ Himself would do. Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you. Ephesians 4:32 When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, 14 having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Colossians 2:13-14 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 And their sins and their lawless deeds, I will remember no more. • The Last Days | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search The Last Days There are many Scriptures in God’s word that refer to the “last days.” Is it possible to know when these days will occur? Would God, who is all-knowing and who knows the beginning from the end, leave His people—His chosen ones—in ignorance, whomever they may be? Or would He tell them about the last days so that they could be spiritually prepared for what is soon to come (Amos 3:7; John 16:13)? In the last days, some people will mock and scoff at the truth because they have no intention of living or even beginning to live a holy life for the Lord (Psalm 53:1). The Bible also says that people will return to the Lord in the latter days (last days) and listen to His voice (God’s word) when the distress of the last days comes upon them (Deut. 4:29-31). He also mentions what will happen to Jacob’s people (the 12 tribes of Israel) in the last days (Gen. 49:1). Among other things, Jesus prophesied that the coming of the Son of Man would be like the days of Noah (Matt. 24:37). What were those days like? The earth was corrupt in God’s sight; the earth was filled with violence (Gen. 6:11). The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of man’s heart was evil (selfish) continually (Gen. 6:5). Noah alone was found to be righteous (caring) at that time (Gen. 7:1). To live a holy life, we must change. The old life must die (Rom. 8:13; Gal. 5:24). We must grow in Christ, clothe ourselves with Christ and live as Jesus Christ gave us example to live. We must become doers of God’s word (James 1:22). We cannot do God’s word and live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord, unless we study His word continually to show ourselves approved to God (2 Tim. 2:15, King James Version). We are not to remain fools in regard to what God’s Will is (Eph. 5:17; Rom. 12:2). We are to do God’s Will daily in every facet of our lives with all our heart, mind, soul and strength (Luke 10:27; Jer. 10:23; Matt. 7:21; 6:10; Luke 8:21; 1 Peter 2:14; 4:2-6). God is distinguishing between the sheep (the doers of God’s word) and the goats (those who know they should be doing good, but won’t start) (Jer. 16:12; Matt. 25:33-46). The good fish are now being sorted in the net. God is now determining who will serve Him by serving others and who will not (Mal. 3:18). He is recording the names of those who become doers of the Lord’s word (Ex. 32:33; Rev. 3:5). He is also recording names of all those who started to live the holy life but lost interest and fell away (Jer. 17:13). Jesus’ words, which He spoke to the world, will judge us when He returns (John 12:47-50). Did we keep His words and, by doing so, do the Will of the Father (John 8:51; Matt. 7:21; 1 John 2:17)? Or did we just read His word (James 1:22; Acts 3:23). Now all we are waiting for is the Lord to say, “On with the show.” Then He will fulfill all of His end-time prophesies. Are you ready? Are you getting ready? Or will you fulfill the Scriptures of those who won’t believe, those who mock God’s word and His truth? We all are fulfilling Scripture daily. The wicked are fulfilling the Scriptures of the wicked and the righteous are fulfilling the Scriptures of the righteous. Study God’s word daily by subject so that you will fulfill the right Scriptures, and do God’s Will daily as well (Rom. 12:2; Prov. 14:9; 2 Peter 3:3; Jude 18-21). • Rejoice in One Another's Blessings | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Rejoice in One Another's Blessings Proverbs 8:32 says, “Blessed are they who keep My Ways.” It is wonderful how this righteous Way of life brings many blessings from God. This verse in Proverbs is a promise that will be fulfilled by God when we live to please Him continually. John 10:10 says that Jesus Christ came so that we might have life and have it abundantly. Yes, He came to give us the truth on how to live each day. By living His Way, we are blessed abundantly. As we live this special Way every day, different areas of our nature will pop up that we will need to overcome. In Galatians 5:19-21, it describes our human nature. In this article, I will not list all the deeds of the flesh, but rather point out two that each one of us needs to be aware of and overcome. These two deeds of the flesh are jealousy and envy (Gal. 5:20-21). Years ago, if a friend of mine received something new that I wished I had, I remember feeling a jealous and envious spirit inside of me. I might have even said to my friend, “Oh, that’s nice,” but I was thinking something entirely different. Satan took that opportunity to whisper in my ear, “Why not me?” Just watch children and see how easy it is for them to get jealous or envious of others. A child’s birthday party can be an excellent example of this. One child is showered with gifts, while the other children just watch and lust over the birthday child’s gifts. This is a perfect opportunity to teach your children about the evils of jealousy and envy, and to help them overcome it. As parents, however, we must first be the example. How can we expect our children to overcome jealousy and envy when we have not? Remember, it was because of jealousy and envy that the Pharisees killed our Lord, Jesus Christ. Jealousy and envy are diseases of the flesh, and we can see how important it is to put these deeds of the flesh to death. A friend of mine purchased a new car. Her neighbor told her, “You don’t deserve a new car.” My friend said, “Why not?” The neighbor said, “You don’t even have a garage to put it in.” Whoa, was that jealousy and envy, or what? Of course, the neighbor had a garage, but was driving an older car and perhaps felt that the new car should be in her garage. Let’s look in 1 Corinthians 13, “The love chapter,” and see what love really is. Verse four says, “Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous!” In 1 Corinthians 13:5 it says, “Love does not seek its own.” Love is not selfish or jealous. Love wants only good for everyone. It does not seek to satisfy its own lusts. When someone receives a special blessing, are we truly, from the bottom of our hearts, happy for them? Or, when we feel the person is not deserving, do we have an envious, jealous attitude like, “Boy, I don’t think she deserved to have that!”? Who are we to judge? Blessings and curses alike come from God. He is the judge of who gets what and when. It’s time to have a pure heart and only be happy and rejoice in another person’s blessings. First Corinthians 12:26 tells us, “If one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.” Yes, when our brothers and sisters in Christ, friends and neighbors are honored with blessings, we are to rejoice with them. We always need to think only the best of each other and just be happy for each other, because this is how we glorify our Father in heaven. If you have this problem and you see others being honored or blessed, check your attitude, and make sure you do not say to yourself, “I should have what they have.” Take this opportunity to overcome the problems of jealousy and envy, and thus, perfect holiness in that area of your life.
