  • Not All Miracles Are From God | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Not All Miracles Are From God Jesus Christ predicted false christs and false prophets would come and show great signs and wonders at the end of this age. False ministers have always been around. Many do not know that they are false ministers. They preach in the name of Jesus Christ, perform many miracles, and cast out demons in the name of Jesus Christ (2 Cor. 11:13-15; Matt. 7:22-23). Their gospel is simply incomplete. They teach religious traditions to lock in their unsuspecting followers. When they teach what man has made up, their worship of God is in vain (Mark 7:6-7). Notice also, they are workers of lawlessness, which means they are not getting rid of their evil natures (1 John 3:4). The one thing these false (Satan’s) ministers are not preaching is how to do the Will of God daily on earth, as it is being done in heaven (Matt. 7:21; 6:10). They remain blinded as to what that Will of God is, so they cannot overcome their evil natures (Eph. 5:17). Initially, the Apostle Paul did not know what God’s Will was and as a result, he was killing God’s own elect. He was zealous for God but his zeal was misdirected. His zeal was not in accordance with God’s Will. He and others went about establishing their own righteousness and their own religions (Rom. 10:2-3). God called Paul in his religious ignorance and appointed him to know His Will (Acts 22:14). Where there’s a will, there’s a way, and if we do not know God’s Will, we do not know God’s Way—how we should live to please God and overcome. Consequently, millions of those who seek God today have been led astray and are now going down the religious broad way that leads to destruction (Matt. 7:13). Jesus Christ Himself said there are very few who find the narrow Way (Matt. 7:14). How many people do you know who do God’s Will daily in their lives for repentance and the sake of overcoming, as it is being done in heaven (Matt. 6:10; Acts 26:20 NIV; Rom. 12:21; Ps. 37:27)? How many even know what that means? How many people do you know who actually become weary in doing good for others, as Jesus, our example, became weary at times (2 Thess. 3:13; Gal. 6:9)? There was a man named Simon Magus who practiced miracles through the use of magic. Satan and his demons make miracles happen to those who follow them (Acts 8:9-11). This man tried to buy the Holy Spirit from the Apostle Peter so that he could have power to do even greater miracles (Acts 8:12-24). A clergyman once said, “All miracles are from God.” If you believe that statement, you will believe the beast when he comes. The beast who is coming will have the power of Satan and will perform signs (miracles) and false wonders (2 Thess. 2:9). The false prophet, mentioned in Revelation 13:11-18, will also have power to do all the miracles of the first beast. Yes, the whole world is being set up to believe that all miracles are from God. Satan has used miracles and false wonders to deceive those who would follow him in all generations. He has used weeping idols, weeping icons (pictures) and all types of deception. Trust God. Study His word until you can prove everything and trust His words. You cannot put your trust in men and what they tell you. Instead, you must prove everything by God’s word. You should do it because God said you should (1 Thess. 5:21). PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME All About the Bible PDF © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • How Do We Imitate God? | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search How Do We Imitate God? "The Lord is righteous in all His Ways and kind in all His deeds" (Psalm 145:17). The Lord is good to all (Psalm 145:9). He wants us to be like He is. To please God, we must imitate Jesus Christ in our daily behavior (Eph. 5:1; 1 Cor. 11:1). What did the Lord do that we should imitate? In the Bible, people asked the same question. "What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?" (John 6:28). Notice that the works of God Jesus performed were all done in the Father’s name (John 10:25). We are to do our works for God, in word and deed, in Jesus Christ’s name (Col. 3:17). That is what it means to believe in Jesus Christ, because the word believe means obey and adhere to the teachings of Jesus Christ (John 3:36). Jesus said He did nothing of His own will, but only what He saw the Father doing (John 5:19). What is the Father doing? Psalm 10:14 says God is the helper of the orphan. He provides out of His goodness to the poor (Psalm 68:10). He comes to the aid of the needy when they need help and He helps those who have no helper (Psalm 72:12). He has compassion on the poor and the needy (Psalm 72:13; 16:5). He executes justice for the oppressed. He gives food to the hungry and sets the prisoners free (Psalm 146:7). Remember, prisoners are not only those who are in jail, but those who continue to be enslaved to their old natures because they remain religiously deceived. The deeds mentioned here are the works of the Lord. Jesus performed these works in the Father’s name and we are to do the same. Job understood that this is what it means to please God and to be blameless in His sight (Job 29:12-16). Daniel knew this is how we please God and overcome our evil natures (Dan. 4:27). New Testament disciples were told to overcome evil by doing good deeds and to be careful to engage in doing good deeds (Rom. 2:7; 12:21; Titus 3:8; Eph. 2:10; 1 Peter 3:10-11, 13). This is how we bear fruit for Christ and prove to be His disciples (John 15:8; Col. 1:10). You will have to learn to do these things and by your patient perseverance, you will win your soul (Luke 13:24; 21:19). That perseverance is being zealous or enthusiastic for doing good, studying God’s word and praying. This is the armor of God (1 Peter 3:13; Eph. 6:11). Study God’s word daily by subject. Pray for others and for your own needs. Do as much good as you can each day for God’s glory (Matt. 5:16). This is the way to be an overcomer for Jesus Christ and how you imitate God (Rev. 2:26). • Narrow is the Way | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Narrow is the Way True discipleship is a Way of life. It is not only called the Way, but it is also called the Way of holiness and the Way of righteousness (Matt. 21:32). Sometimes the Way is called a gate or a door (Luke 13:24). Jesus is the door, the bread, the Way, the truth and the life (John 10:9; 6:41, 48; 14:6). The Way is also called the Way of truth (2 Peter 2:2). This truth must be practiced in order to enter the light (John 3:21). The light, then, is the good life and the good life is the God life or the Way that God lives. No wonder true disciples are told to imitate God, speak like God and discipline themselves for the purpose of godliness (Eph. 5:1; 1 Cor. 11:1; 1 Peter 4:11; 1 Tim. 4:7; 6:3; Titus 1:1). We are to walk in Jesus Christ’s steps (1 Peter 2:21; 1 John 2:6). Jesus said that the ones who believed in Him would be doing the same works, and even greater works than He did, because His earthly ministry was cut short (John 14:12). Jesus’ faith had works. When you keep Jesus’ works by doing the same, you overcome the flesh with its evil passions and desires (Gal. 5:24). And if you endure to the end, Jesus Christ will grant you to sit with Him and rule the nations of this earth with a rod of iron (Rev. 2:26; 5:10). Jesus’ Way is easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30). It is the Way to peace (Luke 1:79; Rom. 3:17). It is the Way of the Lord (Psalm 18:21). We are to walk in the Way or walk in the truth (2 John 4, 6). We are to walk in good works (Eph. 2:10). We are to be careful to engage in good works, for the one who actively, continually does good is of God (Titus 3:8; 1 Peter 2:12; 3 John 11). And the one who will not practice righteousness by doing good is not of God (1 John 3:7, 10, 18). Simple isn’t it? God is sorting out those who will be the doers of the word and those who will remain hearers (James 1:22, 27). The ministers of Christ’s day, called religious Pharisees, would not so much as lift a finger in regard to doing any good for God (Matt. 23:4). They did all their deeds to be noticed by men (Matt. 23:5). True doers of good works for God are cautioned to have the right attitude (Matt. 6:1-6). They are told to pray in secret and give in secret. How far removed from the truth of God many are today! It is a good thing there is a tomorrow, so we can immediately correct the situation. Be a sheep and do not continue to be a goat (Matt. 25:33-46). Do all that you do in good works or good words (cheering up those in hospitals, in nursing homes, or those who are depressed) in the name of Jesus Christ daily, and begin to subject yourself to the righteousness of God (Rom. 10:3). • What is Freedom? | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search What is Freedom? To Satan, freedom is doing what you want. How many wars have been fought for freedom? How many people in the past have died for freedom? With all the wars that have been fought for freedom, does the world enjoy peace? What does God’s word say about freedom and wars? James 4:1-4 talks about this; ‘What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you? Is not the source your pleasures [your self-interest] that wages war inside your body? You lust [covet] and do not have; so you commit murder. You are envious and cannot obtain [have your own way] so you fight and quarrel. Even when you pray to God for things, you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your own pleasures [because you want what you want for self]. You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? [When you continue to live selfish, inward lives, you are continuing to live like the world lives]. Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend to the world makes himself an enemy of God.’ [This, then, is the same as committing adultery against God.] Nations fight and kill each other for the same reasons—sin and human nature. Jesus was sent to this world to show man how to escape from this human nature, which has kept him enslaved by the devil. Man is being held captive by Satan to do his will (2 Tim. 2:26). Jesus said to seek the truth and you will be set free from your present nature which is evil, compared to God’s nature which is righteous and pure. Seek the truth [God’s word] and it will set you free from all religious error which grips the world. Seek the truth and it will set you free from Satan who has deceived the whole world (John 8:32; Rev. 12:9). By daily study of God’s word by subject, you not only can prove that God exists but also that He rewards those who diligently seek Him (Heb. 11:6). You will find God’s word to be a true history of man and that the world is full of pagan, godless lies, which are being taught to your children in schools and colleges. For example, your children are being taught that writing, and the writing of books, did not occur until a recent date and as a result, books were not available to people long ago. However, in Halley’s Bible Handbook, page 51, an article is written called: “Libraries in Abraham’s Day and Schools in Abraham’s Day.” We all know that Enoch wrote several books in his day, and he lived seven generations after Adam and Eve. That book of Enoch is still available today! Man’s thoughts are being controlled today; and he is being fed rubbish. 1 Corinthians 3:19 says that the knowledge of this world is foolishness to God. It is of the earth and is demonic (James 3:15). True knowledge comes from God above. When you obey God, He not only gives you true knowledge but also wisdom for the asking. Freedom comes from keeping laws—God’s laws. When you keep God’s laws, He protects you from harm, feeds you in times of famine, protects you from disease, blesses everything you put your hand to do, gives you a long life filled with joy, peace, prosperity and eternal life (Psalm 91:1-16; Deut. 30:15; Psalm 25:13; 37:11)! You keep God’s laws in the Spirit by continually doing good. Freedom comes from knowing the truth. Freedom comes from practicing the truth. Freedom comes from getting rid of your old evil nature and having Christ’s new nature (which He has waiting for you) formed in you (Gal. 4:19; 2 Peter 1:4). He who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. You love others and fulfill that law when you only live to do good to others and serve and help them whenever you have the opportunity. Being a servant of others is imitating Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 11:1; Rom. 15:2-3). Halley’s Bible Handbook also describes how Jesus Christ lived and gave us example to live. On page 20, it says: “As a man, He lived the most strangely beautiful life ever known. He was the kindest, tenderest, gentlest, most patient, most sympathetic man that ever lived. He loved people. He hated to see people in trouble. He loved to forgive. He loved to help. He wrought marvelous miracles to feed hungry people. For relieving the suffering He forgot to take food for Himself. Multitudes, weary, pain-ridden, and heart sick, came to Him, and found healing and relief. It is said of Him, and no other (John 21:25), that if all the deeds of kindness He did were written, the world could not contain the books. That is the kind of man Jesus was. That is the kind of Person God is. And, Jesus said that those who would be followers of His would do more deeds of kindness than He did (John 14:12)! It is this precious Way of life that Jesus came to show mankind, which is called the Way of righteousness. This is true freedom. It is also the directions to eternal life (John 12:47-50; Matt. 21:32). Jesus delivered to us the words of the Father, as He was prophesied to do in Deuteronomy 18:15 and 17-19. Anyone who will not obey Jesus’ words will be utterly destroyed from among the people in the future (Acts 3:23). I think Jesus was serious when He said that unless we repent and keep His words, we will perish (Luke 13:3, 5; John 8:51). • How to Do God's Will With Your Mind | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Do God's Will With Your Mind The word of God says, "This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice" and enjoy it (Psalm 118:24). Now, if you are going to have a good day and enjoy it, you must stop complaining about the weather. The weather is God's business and none of yours. Some other ingredients for having a good day include: cheering up people at work; helping people; consoling people; being friendly and understanding people. That means serving your brother and sister and that is being like Jesus Christ. Practice being positive. Unrestrained human nature practices being negative. It is counterproductive and degenerative. When your life is lived positively, then positive things begin to happen to you. If you are living negatively, which is normal but evil, sometimes you will not even recognize good things happening to you. Negativism, inwardness, selfishness, indifference, hate and murder are all brothers of destruction. This is why Christ said if you hate your brother, you are the same as a murderer (1 John 3:15). By practicing attitudes that are destructive, you cannot expect to live a constructive life. But when you are practicing attitudes that are constructive, such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control you are, in fact, practicing godliness, or imitating God (Gal. 5:23-24; Col. 1:10; Eph. 5:1). If we practice things that are not good in our daily lives, we will become increasingly evil, by nature. By continually practicing evil behavior, we become more like Satan, our earthly father (John 8:41, 44). But if we practice daily what is right, good, honorable, uplifting and pleasing in the sight of our heavenly Father, we will become more like our Father in heaven (1 John 3: 7-10). We will be living holy lives instead of unholy lives. We become what we are practicing to become - perfect (Matt. 5:48; 1 Peter 5:10). We are, by nature, sinners. God wants us to allow Him to change our nature to one of a saint. In order to do that, we must practice living saintly lives by changing our thoughts to godly thoughts. How many of us would want to see violence done to our children? Yet, we watch violence being done to other people’s children on television and vicariously enjoy it. If we did not enjoy it, we would not continue to watch it day after day. Do not be fooled. What you see with your eyes and hear with your ears affects what you think (Prov. 24:12, 29; 12:14). We are not to look at what is evil - violence, murder, rape, etc. (Psalm 34:13-14; 1 Peter 3:10-11). That includes any sport that is violent or anticipates violence. Anyone who loves violence is hated by God (Psalm 11:5). So let’s clean up what goes into our minds and guard those doors carefully, for what is in our minds has a lot to do with the condition of our hearts and what comes out of our mouths. "Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, think on these things." (Phil. 4:8). • Pleasing the Father | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Pleasing the Father Jesus always did things that pleased the Father (John 8:29). He did this by constantly doing the Father’s Will instead of His own (John 6:38). He was constantly doing righteousness in regard to all His deeds (Psalm 145:17). He gave money to the poor (John 13:29). He helped those who had no helper. He gave money to people, expecting nothing in return (Luke 6:35). He was constantly giving and doing good for the Father and, as a result, He never gave in to temptation (Luke 6:38; 1 Peter 3:13; Matt. 4:10). Jesus was overcoming by doing good (Rev. 3:21). Jesus told people they should repent and live the righteous life by glorifying the Father with good works and thus, be lights and examples to others (Matt. 5:16; Titus 2:14). He loved His enemies and proved it by doing good to them (Matt. 5:44). By living to please only God in His life and by doing God’s Will instead of His own, He showed us how to be perfect (Matt. 5:48). Jesus did so many acts of kindness, it would be impossible to record all the good things He did (John 21:25). Jesus glorified the Father, while He was here on earth, by doing His Father’s Will as it is done in heaven (John 7:17; 17:4; Matt. 6:10). By performing these acts of kindness, Jesus overcame His fleshly nature (Rom. 8:3; 12:21; John 16:33). He was made perfect because He was involved in the perfection process - the process God gave Jesus Christ, to show people how easily it could be done (Heb. 5:9; 12:23; John 5:19; Matt. 11:29-30). It had to be easy and pleasant because God is not calling many who are wise, but the lowly (1 Cor. 1:26-27). Yes, where there is a will, there is a way. Now you know the Will, so now you know the Way. Follow the example of Jesus Christ and overcome (Eph. 5:1). It will be an eye-opening experience, drawing you closer to God and giving your relationship with Him more depth and meaning than ever before. *Please note there are many configurations of God’s names and they can be pronounced in a variety of ways. We looked to the Hebrew pronunciation for this feature. We have used Yahweh in place of the more common Jehovah, because Jehovah is an incorrect translation of the name YHVH (YHWH). A sixteenth-century German translator used the vowels of Adonai, from ancient Jewish texts, because they were under the consonants of YHVH. By doing this he came up with the incorrect name of Jehovah (YaHoVaH) which then spread throughout Europe. You can also refer to the Jewish Encyclopedia, where it shows Jehovah is a mispronunciation of the Hebrew name of God, Yahweh.

  • How Do We Enter the Kingdom Within? | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search How Do We Enter the Kingdom Within? The Pharisees (religious leaders) and scribes (lawyers) of Jesus’ day knew God was going to send His kingdom to this earth, but they denied it was a spiritual kingdom (Luke 17:21). Jesus told the Pharisees that because they were practicing righteousness for hypocritical reasons, they were not entering the kingdom of God. They were not overcoming Satan, but giving in to him. They were not receiving a new godly nature themselves, and because they were not, they were hindering those who were trying to enter it (Matt. 23:13). They had taken away the key to the knowledge of how to enter the kingdom of heaven. Jesus told them several times what they were lacking in their message—justice, mercy and faithfulness (Matt. 23:23; 12:7; 9:13; Luke 11:52). But they refused to listen and understand this mystery (Matt. 13:11). So, Jesus gave the keys of knowledge on how to enter the kingdom of God to Peter and the other disciples (Matt. 16:19). He told them they must practice justice, mercy and faithfulness (Rom. 2:7 Psalm 106:3). He said they must study God’s word, understand what the Will of God is, and do it, in order to become disciples of the kingdom (Matt 13:52; Eph. 5:17; 2 Tim 2:15). Jesus said, the kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed (Luke 17:20-21). Instead, it is inside you. It is a pleasant way of life (Matt. 11:30). It is entered by practicing righteousness (Rom. 14:17). But you must force your way into it (Luke 16:16; 13:24). You can become a sheep or you can remain a goat (Matt. 25:33-46). The choice is yours. • The Kingdom Gospel | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search The Kingdom Gospel “This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a witness to all the nations, and then the end shall come” (Matt. 24:14). What is the gospel of the kingdom that is to be preached—the message that will determine when the end of this age will come and culminate with the return of Jesus Christ? The people of Jesus Christ’s day knew that there was a kingdom coming with signs to be observed. Jesus told them the signs of the end of the age. He said the sun would not give its light, the moon would look like blood and there would be signs in the heavens (Matt. 24:3, 29-30). When the Pharisees asked Jesus when that kingdom (with signs) was coming, He replied that He was not talking about a kingdom with signs to be observed, but one that was within them (Luke 17:20-21). The Pharisees were not entering that kingdom within (Matt. 23:13). Neither were they teaching people about the kingdom within, just like people today are not being told how to enter that kingdom. They had taken away the keys of knowledge from the people, so Jesus Christ gave those keys to Peter (Luke 11:52; Matt. 16:18-19). Those keys are the directions and the understanding of how to enter the kingdom within and become a new creature. In order to enter that kingdom, you have to study the Bible for yourself (Matt. 13:52). You must repent to enter that kingdom of God (Matt. 4:17). That kingdom is entered by performing daily acts of righteousness (Matt. 5:20). That kingdom is entered by doing God’s Will daily on earth as it is in heaven (Matt. 6:10; 7:21; 1 John 2:17). God’s Will is righteousness. Disciples of Jesus Christ are expected to imitate God on a daily basis by visiting the sick, caring for the poor, the elderly, the lame, the blind, the widows and the orphans, as Christ explained (Eph. 5:1; Matt. 25:33-46; 1 John 3:17-19). That’s what the true sheep—true believers—are doing. They are overcoming evil by just doing good daily (Rom. 12:21; 1 Peter 3:11; 2 Thess. 3:13). They are glorifying God daily with good works so their lights can shine bright (Matt. 5:16). Living a life of doing good for God daily is true repentance from a life of doing evil. Jesus said that His Way is easy and very pleasant (Matt. 11:30). God wants you to do good daily so He can bless you daily (Eph. 6:8). When you put your hand to the plow (the plow represents good works), you are to continue to do good until the God of peace crushes Satan under your feet and forms Christ’s new nature in you (Luke 9:62; Rom. 16:20; Gal. 4:19). Then you become complete, a new person, a new creation (Gal. 6:15). When you put to death the deeds of the body by living to the Spirit daily, you will eventually rest from all your works of the flesh and enter Christ’s rest (Rom. 8:13; Heb. 4:10). Jesus Christ is making a peculiar people who are zealous for good works (Titus 2:14). That is why His apostles told the people to engage in good deeds and not to get weary of doing them (Titus 3:8; Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13). This is how you force your way into the kingdom of heaven within (Luke 16:16). It is how you strive to enter the narrow door that few people find (Matt. 7:14; Luke 13:23-24). When you overcome evil by doing good daily, you resist Satan and enter the abundant life, which is filled with a peace that transcends all human understanding (Phil. 4:7, 9). “Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand [right now, as soon as you hear this message,” John the Baptist, Jesus Christ, and the apostles proclaimed (Matt. 4:17). That kingdom is entered by keeping Jesus Christ’s works and overcoming a life of evil by engaging in a life of good works (John 14:12). Do you know of any other way to be good, than to do good (Rev. 2:26)? • It's So Simple: A Woman to Woman Article | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search It's So Simple: A Woman to Woman Article It’s so simple, yet people simply don’t see it. It’s as simple as what I ask of my children each day. All I ask is that they act kindly toward others—doing whatever they can to make others happy, especially grandparents or any other elderly people they see or have over to their home. Yes, this simple way is God’s Way of life. We ask our children to use good words towards each other. And when evil thoughts come into their minds, we tell them to just get rid of them by thinking of something good to do—and then doing it for God. If any child visits our home and they are undisciplined, no matter what their problem, we ask our children to be kind and show them a good time. It’s such a beautiful way to live. Our children have actually influenced other children to be respectful to their parents. They have helped other children to clean up their mouth and to stop swearing. They have shown others how to keep their rooms neat and help their mother clean the rest of the house. Matthew 5:16 says, “Let your light so shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” Only those who do good are of God (3 John 11). We are the children of God. God is our Father, and we show Him respect daily by continually doing what is right in His sight (1 John 3:22). Will you be that child I described above? Will you glorify your Father in heaven every moment of every day? Life is simply wonderful when we live this simple, beautiful Way of life. We become precious to God when we serve Him continually in this wonderful Way called “the Way of righteousness” (Matt. 21:32; 2 Peter 2:21). • How Stubborn Are We? | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search How Stubborn Are We? In the parable of the sower, the only persons who made the grade when they heard the true message of the kingdom where those whose seed was sown on good ground (Matt. 13:23). The good ground represents those with an honest and good heart (Luke 8:15). There are few people with honest and good hearts and that is why many are called and few chosen. It is also why very few find the narrow Way (Matt. 7:14). You cannot know the message of God unless you live the message by being a daily doer of good. You must put into practice the truth in order to come to the understanding of the light (John 3:21). You must be willing to do God’s Will in order to know the teaching (John 7:17). You must live the message in order to say you believe in Jesus Christ, then and only then will you never die (John 11:26). To believe in the Son is to obey the Son, and to obey the Son, you must keep His sayings and do them and perform them (John 3:36; 8:51; 12:47-48; Luke 6:46). The message of repentance is always the same. Overcome evil by doing good if you expect to abide forever (Psalm 34:13-14; 37:27; Rom. 12:21; 1 Peter 3:10; Dan. 4:27; Is. 1:16-17; Zeph. 2:3). This is just what our evil nature does not want to hear. It wants to be told the message that says do nothing and you will be saved (Titus 1:16). When you hear this message, you are warned not to harden your heart - by not living it right away. The message of serving others and doing good becomes nothing more than a good intention to the many, but those few with honest and good hearts begin immediately so their hearts do not begin to harden. A hardened criminal is one who is given every opportunity to change but doesn’t. His desire is to remain who he is and not be told what to do. What happens to those God has called, who have less than an honest and good heart? Are they doomed to be destroyed in the lake of fire? In Revelation 3:15, the Lord is disturbed by those who do not continue to worship Him with their whole heart by being zealous or hot for good works (Titus 2:14). These people had been greatly blessed by God but then became lukewarm for good works for God’s glory (Matt. 5:16). This spiritual sickness happens to many (Rev. 2:5; 3:1-2). This is also what happened to the ancient Israelites when they had the same good news preached to them (Heb. 4:2). God wishes that none should perish so he helps the disobedient to repent. God disciplines us for our own good (Heb. 12:10-11). In the very near future, He will bring many to repentance by bringing on the plagues of Revelation. He will make the sun seven times brighter or hotter to scorch men in order to force their evil natures to repent (Rev. 16:8-11). He will make hail, about 127 pounds in size, come down to get people’s attention and help them repent. A worldwide earthquake will topple all the tall buildings in all the cities of every nation (Rev. 16:18-19). Even Jerusalem will be split into three parts. However, people will continue to blaspheme God (Rev. 16:21). Everyone on this earth will wonder what’s happening? But those who serve the Lord by serving others and live to please Him in all their ways will understand clearly what’s happening. They will have been given eyes to see by God because they have been obedient to His voice—the Bible (Rev. 17:8-9). They are the ones who have come out of religious confusion, religious Babylon, and worship God with their bodies by the way they live (Rom. 12:1). They are continually helping those in need, which is pure religion, undefiled (James 1:27) The Day of the Lord is not to be taken lightly (Zeph. 1:14-18; Is. 66:15-17). God wants us to return to Him so that He can return to us (Zech. 1:3-4; 7:10-12) Notice, the message of how to repent has never changed. Good works are necessary for repentance (Acts 26:20). This is the one message that caused the people to despise the prophets of old. These prophets were sent by God Himself to instruct the people on how to repent and amend their ways, deeds and actions. You’ll never have trouble telling a boy scout to do good; however many Christians seem to have trouble with it. God has told us all along what is good and what He requires of us, but many refuse to listen (Micah 6:8) The word of God is clear that the majority of those God is calling, in the last days, will suffer greatly to be perfected by Him. All one needs to do is review these few Scriptures: Revelation 6:11; 9:15; 13:7; 14:12-13; 18:24; 20:4; and 2:10. God in His mercy will even save those who are lukewarm by testing them severely, if necessary. What a great and wonderful God we live to serve, one who cares more for us than we do for ourselves (Ezek. 33:31-33)! Hallelujah! • Are We Born Evil? | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Are We Born Evil? Our Creator says we were created flesh with a nature of flesh, and if we continue living to the flesh we must die (John 3:6; Rom. 8:12-13). What is the flesh nature in man that we were given? The deeds of the flesh are evident (Gal. 5:19-21). They are evil. Put a “d” on evil and you have devil. That’s what man’s nature is (John 6:70). Man’s heart is more deceitful than all else and desperately sick, it is beyond understanding (Jer. 17:9). Man’s nature is capable of doing anything wicked—absolutely anything—while God’s nature is only good. Just study these Scriptures, and be prepared for a shock: Deuteronomy 28:53; Isaiah 9:19-20; Ezekiel 5:10; 2 Kings 18:27; Isaiah 36:12; Zechariah 11:9; Matthew 15:19, Mark 7:21, and 2 Timothy 3:2-5. In our fleshly state, we are considered as beasts or dogs (Eccl. 3:18; Matt. 7:6; 15:26; Rev. 22:15; Psalm 22:16, 20). Man is evil from his youth (Gen. 8:21). Even Jesus was born of the flesh with a fleshly nature, not knowing enough to refuse His evil impulses and choose good over evil when He was a child. He had the same evil nature we have, for if He hadn’t, He could not have been our example of how to overcome (Is. 7:14-16; Heb. 5:8; 1 John 4:1, 2; 2 John 7; John 16:33; Rev. 3:21). Remember, everyone who comes in the flesh is born with a fleshly nature. Jesus, who created us, says we are wicked from the womb and we go astray from birth (Col. 1:16; Psalm 58:3). We have all seen a child throw a temper tantrum, so we know this is true! No, you don’t have to teach a child to be evil, do you? Instead, you must teach a child to be good, because human nature is not good. In Proverbs 22:6, it says we are to train up a child in the way he should go, they must be trained in righteousness (2 Tim. 3:15-17). This is why Jesus said He was not good (Mark 10:18; Luke 18:19; Rom. 7:18). Yes, Jesus knew what was in man (John 2:25; 6:70; Matt. 16:23). We were all born with evil natures that must be overcome (Rev. 2:11, 26; 3:5). Our evil natures can be overcome, if we practice righteousness for God zealously until God gives us the desire to do good from the heart (Eph. 6:6; Matt. 5:20; 6:1). When we are zealous in doing good, God will crush Satan in us (Rom. 16:20). That is why true disciples of Jesus Christ are told not to get weary in doing good (2 Thess. 3:13; Gal. 6:9-10; Rom. 2:7). Then, with God’s help, we can truly be set free from that evil nature (1 Peter 5:10). Thank you, Jesus! Consider these Scriptures: John 6:44, 65; Ephesians 2:1-3; and Titus 1:16. Remember, the people who killed Jesus Christ and the apostles were very religious (Phil. 3:2; John 16:2). Many religions throughout history have grown great because they killed off their competitors. In the sixteenth century, for example, over 50 million people died. Those who killed them thought they were worshiping God, (Mark 7:7) however, they still had the rotten natures they’d always had, because they had not been told how to overcome. Yes, we are born evil! Yes, we must overcome that evil heart and become pure and righteous, living to please the Lord each day by living His Way (Matt. 5:6, 8; Acts 10:35; Rev. 22:12-14). We must do the practicing and God does the perfecting (1 Cor. 3:7; Col. 2:19; 1 Thess. 4:9-10). God’s word says if we do not practice righteousness for God daily, we will remain children of the devil (1 John 3:7, 10).❑ PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME All About the Bible PDF © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • Jesus, Our Example | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Jesus, Our Example Jesus is our example. One of the reasons He came to this earth was to show us and tell us the Way to live. We, as His true disciples, are to walk in the same manner as He walked, which means to live as He lived (1 John 2:6). How, then, did Jesus live? Jesus did not live to please Himself (Rom. 15:3). Instead, He lived to glorify God. Jesus’ purpose was to do God’s Will on earth as it is being done in heaven and to accomplish that which He was prophesied to accomplish in the word of the prophets (John 4:34; Luke 24:44). People asked Jesus how they could do the works of God and He told them they must believe in Him whom God has sent (John 6:28-29). Very few know that the word believe means adhere to the teachings of, put your trust in, take action and live the message of Jesus Christ. Believe also means obey (John 3:36; 11:25-26). Jesus said He was among us as one who serves (Luke 22:27). He instructed His disciples to be servants of all (Mark 9:35). He said, "For he who is least among you, this is the one who is great" (Luke 9:48). Jesus took the form of a servant to show us how to serve one another in love (Phil. 2:7). He was a servant to others for the glory of God (Matt. 5:16). He said His Way is easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30). So the one who is great in the eyes of God is the one who serves others in love, just as Jesus did (Matt. 20:26-28). Jesus is making disciples who are zealous for good works (Titus 2:14). People who obey Him and worship the Father by practicing good works of love in serving others, are the ones who let their lights shine (Matt. 5:16). They are the righteous ones in God’s eyes because they practice righteousness continually for God (1 John 3:7, 10; 3 John 11). If it is with difficulty that the righteous - those who practice righteousness daily for God - are saved, what will become of the godless people and the sinners - those who will not practice righteousness for God by serving others (1 Peter 4:18; Matt. 25:41-46)? • How To Build More Faith | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search How To Build More Faith Jesus Christ had faith in His Father because He respected His Father’s Will. He used His Father as an example. Whatever He saw His Father do, He did likewise. His Father loved Him and showed Him all things (John 5:19-20). Christ did nothing of His own initiative but He only did what He was taught by His Father to do (John 8:28). He always did things that were pleasing to His Father (John 8:29). Disciples of Jesus Christ must also learn to love and imitate the Father by doing the same deeds that Christ did—helping the poor, lame and blind; in general, living a life of doing good (Eph. 5:1). We overcome our sinful natures by doing so (Rom. 12:9, 21). When we become zealous for good deeds and endure to the end, the Father is glorified (1 Peter 3:13; Titus 2:14; Rev. 2:26; Matt. 5:16). This is the way the Father wishes to be worshiped (John 4:23; 1 John 3:18-19; Rom. 12:1). We must be careful to do these things in the name of Jesus Christ, for the glory of the Father in heaven (Rom. 2:7; 10:2-3; Col. 3:17). Faith and belief in Jesus Christ require daily obedience to Him (Rom. 16:26). Many of the religious leaders of Jesus Christ’s day were becoming obedient to that one faith (Acts 6:7). Jesus Christ was obedient to that one faith and He endured until the end, leaving us an example of how we should live to please the Father daily by serving others (John 16:33; Matt. 23:11). The Bible says a person is foolish if he thinks he can have faith without works (James 2:20). It even says faith without works is dead, because this is how our faith is perfected (James 2:22, 26). Without these works of charity, love and service to others, we are not justified (James 2:24). The religious Pharisees of old were practicing righteousness to be seen of men, and not for God for repentance. Obedience to the faith of Jesus Christ requires that you practice righteousness for the glory of God daily for repentance, overcoming, and a change of nature, as well as for great blessings. • A Faith That Works | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search A Faith That Works Doctors practice their profession daily to become successful doctors. Baseball players practice their profession daily to become successful baseball players. Many times we see people jogging along the side of the road disciplining themselves for sports or for good health (1 Cor. 9:24-25). How many people discipline themselves for the purpose of godliness (1 Tim. 4:7; 6:3; Titus 1:1)? How many people try to learn what is pleasing to the Lord (Eph. 5:10)? How many force their bodies to behave (1 Cor. 9:26-27)? How many are imitating Jesus Christ daily (1 Cor. 11:1)? How many Christians are practicing their profession daily? Did Jesus Christ have a working faith or a faith with no works (James 2:14, 17-18, 22, 24, 26)? Did His faith work for Him and was He able to overcome the world because of it (John 16:33; Rev. 3:21)? Yes, Jesus had a faith with good works, and not just a few (John 14:12; 21:25; Luke 24:19). He practiced what He preached. He overcame the pulls of the flesh so He could be an example to the world of how it was done (Heb. 2:17-18; 4:15; 5:8-9; 1 Cor. 10:13; James 1:13-14). If Jesus had been married and had children, you had better believe His wife would have been in loving subjection and His children would have been well behaved. His message would not be believable if this were not so (1 Tim. 3:4). How could He teach others about God, if He failed to teach His own family? Yes, Jesus’ gospel worked for those who believed it and put it into practice because it had good works!
