- Baking With Whole Wheat: A Woman to Woman Article | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Baking With Whole Wheat: A Woman to Woman Article As homemakers, we have choices when we cook and bake things for our families and others. We have a variety of sweeteners such as sugar, honey, maple syrup, and molasses. We have a variety of flours such as bleached or unbleached white flour, rye flour, or whole wheat flour. We can choose from fresh, frozen, or canned fruits and vegetables. Quality is our choice. Quality is our choice when it comes to the way we live spiritually, as well as physically. Jesus Christ tells us about the most high quality bread of all—the “bread of life.” In John 6:35 He says, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me shall not hunger, and he who believes in Me (obeys, trusts and has faith in) shall never thirst.” This is an awesome spiritual bread that so completely satisfies all aspects of our lives. This bread Jesus Christ was speaking of is the Way of life we share with you in every Whole Wheat issue. Whole Wheat newsletter is the product of a vision a man had when he approached my husband. The man saw loaves of bread, whole wheat bread, stored up and waiting to be shared with the world. The man was awestruck at what he saw. Little did he realize that my husband had been writing researched Bible study articles for years, and he eagerly desired to share them with the world. These articles explain clearly that Jesus came to show us how to be wheat instead of tares. In the parable found in Matthew 13:24-30, the wheat and tares grew together until harvest. At harvest time, the tares were removed and burned. The wheat was bundled up to be saved and stored in the barn. God will spare us, too, if we are wheat (righteous, godly, good for something). By living His Ways, we become fully converted and become whole wheat who live to please God by serving others daily. In Luke 11:3, we are taught to pray, “Give us this day our daily bread.” Our spiritual daily bread is allowing the Lord to teach us by studying His word daily—the bread of God which comes down from heaven and gives life to the world (John 6:33). The bread of life (Jesus Christ) gives life (a Way of life) to the world. This Way of life is full of blessings, instead of curses, because we put Jesus’ words into action. What is the big bonus for eating of this “bread of life,” or living to please God every day? John 6:51 says, “I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he shall live forever.” Do you want to live forever? Do you want to be blessed? Do you want to be happy? The key to eternal life, blessings, and happiness goes back to fulfilling the basics: ℹ️ Study God’s word daily! ℹ️ Pray for others and your own needs! ℹ️ Live to please God by serving others continually, especially the less fortunate! These are ingredients for a quality life, made of wholesome ingredients…so let’s get cooking! - How Do You Seek God? | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search How Do You Seek God? The question is asked, “How do you seek God?” The answer is given by God in Romans 3:10-11. There is no one who seeks God, there is no one who understands. Understands what? How to seek God? Yes! There is no one who does good. Good for who, Sam, Bill, Pete or David? No! There is no one who does good for God. Why? Because that is how you seek Him. Matthew 5:16 says, that God is glorified by good works done on His behalf and that is how a true doer of God’s word lets his light shine before men. We overcome by keeping Jesus Christ’s works of love and charity (Rev. 2:26). That is how we seek for glory and honor and immortality (Rom. 2:7). That is how the Lord blesses us (Rom. 2:6). Glory and honor to everyone who does good for God (Rom. 2:10). Doing good works for God is how you repent daily and turn to Him and have the veil removed from your eyes (2 Cor. 3:16). Good works have always been necessary for repentance, the Apostle Paul says (Acts 26:20). Good works is not only how you seek God, but how you continually get His attention. Be sure that all the works of love you do in word or in deed are done in the name of Jesus Christ for the glory of the Father (Col. 3:17). Then, study the Scriptures by subject daily, and understand and put them into action in your daily life for God. That is how you truly seek God. That is how you seek the kingdom, and that is how the kingdom within is entered (Matt. 6:33; 5:20; 2 Peter 1:11; Luke 17:21 King James Version). - God’s Nature vs. Human Nature | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search God’s Nature vs. Human Nature Once it is understood what God’s nature is and that it is obtained by getting rid of human nature, we can begin to clearly understand the conversion process for true disciples of Jesus Christ. God’s method is very thorough and requires diligence on our part. God knows that what we diligently practice to be, we will eventually become. This process of having God’s nature formed in us begins when we start to practice righteousness for God on a daily basis. We cannot be persecuted for righteousness unless we practice righteousness, can we? Noah couldn’t be a preacher of righteousness unless he practiced righteousness (2 Peter 2:5; Gen. 6:9). Once we understand that God is righteous in regard to all His deeds, and that we are, by nature, evil and the most we can do is practice righteousness and allow God to do the perfecting, we can truly understand the phrase, “Righteous men made perfect” (Psalm 11:7; 33:5; 116:5; 129:4; 145:17; Heb. 12:23). God makes us perfect through suffering, the same as Jesus Christ, our example, was perfected through suffering (Heb. 5:8-9). God tries and tests His disciples until the old nature is crushed and the new nature is perfected (Rom. 16:20; Heb. 12:11; 1 Peter 5:10; 4:12). Human nature will not die without a fight. That’s why you must fight the good fight of faith, and have faith that God will implant His nature in you (1 Tim. 6:12; Psalm 4:5; Phil. 2:12). You will then be a new creature in Christ Jesus (Col. 1:28; 2 Cor. 5:17). When you have this new godly nature, then you will be righteous in all you do. You’ll be like Jesus because you will be keeping His deeds (Rev. 2:26). When all you do is righteousness, then all you’ll reap is blessings. You will be living the abundant life, full of joy and peace, that Jesus Christ came to show you (John 10:10; Acts 3:19, 26). You will understand that you were created to do good works and that the message of eternal life is righteousness (Eph. 2:10; John 8:51). Satan hates it when you practice righteousness for God’s glory because this is how he is put to death in your flesh (Matt. 5:16). Don’t let him stop you! Be zealous for good deeds and overcome your human nature (1 Peter 3:13; Rom. 12:21; Psalm 37:27). That’s how you resist Satan and have God’s nature formed in you (James 4:7; Eph. 6:11, 13). The God of peace and love, who is calling you to this holy Way of life, will soon crush Satan under your feet, and after you have suffered a little, God will perfect His nature in you (Rom. 16:20; 1 Peter 5:10; Gal. 4:19). Once we are involved in the godly process, God considers us perfect, blameless, holy, upright and sinless. Our sins are forgiven—past, present and future. They are not held against us, but are sealed in a bag (Job 14:16-17). God’s Ways are so wonderful that they are beyond human understanding; that’s why you need God’s Spirit to understand them. Start living for Him and ask Him for His Spirit, and He will give it to you (Acts 5:32; Luke 11:13).❑ PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

- A New Creation | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search A New Creation God wants us to be new creations or new creatures (Gal. 6:15). To do this, we must die to sin and live to righteousness (Rom. 6:2). This is a daily process of dying to self by denying the evil desires of our hearts (1 Cor. 15:31; Luke 9:23). True disciples of Jesus Christ, who have received the true message of conversion, live a new life in Christ (Rom. 6:4). We are no longer to be slaves of sin but we are to consider our old lives as dead to sin and alive to God in Jesus Christ (Rom. 6:6, 11). We are to live for God daily instead of ourselves (Rom. 6:10). We are to use the members of our bodies as instruments of righteousness to God by being careful to engage in good works daily (Rom. 6:13; Titus 3:8). We are to learn to engage in good works because this is righteousness to God and He is glorified by good works done daily in His name (Is. 1:16-17; Titus 3:14; Matt. 5:16). We become happy slaves of Jesus Christ, constantly doing the Will of God - which is righteous good works - from the heart (Rom. 6:17-19; Eph. 6:6). Why are true disciples so zealous in doing good works daily? They know that they overcome their evil natures by doing good (Rom. 12:21; 2:7). They know this is how they resist evil daily (2 Tim. 2:26). They overcome Satan’s will by doing God’s Will daily on earth as it is being done in heaven (Matt. 6:10). They know their righteousness must eventually come from their hearts or they will not receive the new nature and have Christ formed in them (Gal. 4:19). They know that without righteousness, they cannot enter the kingdom within (Matt. 5:20; 6:1; 7:21; Luke 17:21). They know this is the doctrine that conforms them to godliness, and so they discipline themselves daily for the purpose of godliness by practicing righteousness for God in Jesus’ name (1 Tim. 6:3; 4:7; Titus 1:1; 1 John 3:7, 10, 18; Col. 3:17). Since this Way is so easy and pleasant, we really have no excuse to continue sinning (Matt. 11:30; John 15:22). Living God’s Way of life is how our joy is made full and how we instantly become friends of God (John 15:11, 14). This is how we have an abundant life (John 10:10). Practicing righteousness for God daily is how we seek first the kingdom of God; and then God adds all good things to us - food, clothes and all the desires of our hearts (Matt. 6:31, 33). If you have not yet started practicing righteousness for God daily, what is holding you back? Satan’s nature? Resist Satan and by doing so, show God you love Him more. Bear fruit for God and prove to be His disciple (John 15:8; Col. 1:10). Remember, God wants a new you, a new creation, which comes from living a new Way of life - the Way of righteousness (Gal. 6:9, 15; Matt. 21:32; 2 Peter 2:21). - How to Walk in God's Ways | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search How to Walk in God's Ways Jesus walked in the Ways of the Father. He was our perfect example (John 5:19-20). He came to show us this beautiful Way of life-a way of love, joy, peace, abundance, answered prayers and every good thing (John 10:10; 14:14). He said it was easy and pleasant (1 John 5:3; Matt. 11:30). We don't need to be intelligent to live it, just obedient like a child (Rom. 16:26; Mark 10:15). It does not require previous education because God will be our teacher (John 6:45; 1 Cor. 3:19; Is. 48:17-18). God lives a certain Way and He never deviates from that Way (Psalm 145:17). That Way is called His Will (1 John 2:17; Matt. 7:21). It is also called His walk (2 John 6). Once we understand how God walks or lives and what His Will is, then we too can walk with God or live as He lives by keeping His Ways instead of our old ways of the flesh (Rom. 12:2). After all, our old ways are sinful ways and must be put to death in our bodies (Rom. 8:13; Matt. 16:25). When we study the Scriptures, we can see that the Will of the Father is to do acts of righteousness, or good deeds (Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13; Heb. 13:16). The Will of the Father is to do good works by keeping the sayings Jesus Christ received from the Father (John 12:47-48). We are to overcome our evil natures by being zealous in doing good deeds for God in Jesus' name and thus, bring all our thoughts and actions into the captivity of Christ (Rom. 12:21; 1 Peter 3:13; Col. 3:17; 2 Cor. 10:5). This allows Christ to put our old natures to death and crush Satan's nature within us (Rom. 16:20). Now is the time to get involved with the godly process (1 Tim. 6:3-4). Don't let Satan snatch your opportunity away (Eph. 4:2-7). Tell God you want to serve Him today by serving your fellow man in every way (Rom. 15:3; 2:7; 1 Cor. 10:24; 11:1; Eph. 5:1; Matt. 25:34-40). Remember always, those who did the good deeds will be resurrected to eternal life (John 5:29). That is what Jesus Christ said and He would not tell you a religious lie. - How Do We Seek Peace and Pursue It? | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search How Do We Seek Peace and Pursue It? Disciples of Jesus Christ must seek peace and pursue it earnestly in order to enter the peace of Christ (1 Peter 3:11). The Bible says we are to think about whatever is good, peaceful and of good report (Phil. 4:8-9). If all you said was continually a blessing to the hearer, and you blessed those who cursed you, and if all the words that came out of your mouth were as the words of God, and all the thoughts you thought were happy thoughts, this would be most pleasing to the Lord (1 Peter 4:11; Eph. 4:29). "The cheerful heart has a continual feast" (Prov. 15:15). A disciple of Jesus Christ has the most for which to be thankful. He has eternal life and he receives answered prayers (John 6:47; 1 John 3:15, 22). His life is abundant, peaceful and joyous (Prov. 13:21). If he has any anxious thoughts, he does not dwell on them or worry. He just gives them to Christ, as he is commanded to do (1 Peter 5:7). What are some of the things in this world that can rob us of being cheerful, and would grieve the Spirit of God and take our peace (Eph. 5:10-11)? How about violence on television, violence in sports or violence in the news? Even negative weather reports take our peace. For the most part, we cannot change these things, but there is something we can change. We can change ourselves with God’s help! Do not be concerned about the way the world is going. Rather, be concerned about the way you are going. Make sure it is pleasing to the Lord. Remember, we have God’s protection in all things when we are living to please only Him (Job 5:20-27; Is. 3:10; Prov. 10:3). So let us consider those things that are violent, distasteful and rob us of our peace, and control what goes into our minds (Is. 33:15-16)! - The Keys to the Kingdom | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search The Keys to the Kingdom Jesus gave the keys of the kingdom — the knowledge of how to enter the kingdom of God — to the Apostle Peter (Matt. 16:19). He said this particular kingdom was not coming with signs to be observed. That kingdom, with signs, is coming in the future. But the kingdom Christ was talking about was “at hand,” right now. It was within a person, or “within you” (Matt. 3:2; 4:17; 10:7; Luke 17:21). The Pharisees also had the key of knowledge and Jesus scolded them for not entering that kingdom within and for causing others who were trying to enter to stumble (Luke 11:52; Matt. 23:13). These Pharisees were not forcing their way into the kingdom and seizing it for themselves by being servants to others (Luke 16:16; Matt. 23:11). You must read the true translation of Matthew 11:12, which is in the margin. It says, “The kingdom of God is forcibly entered and you must seize it for yourself!” This is proof that there is not only a kingdom of God that must be entered within, but that you must force your way into that kingdom by doing good daily for God in order to seize it for yourself. Our righteousness must come from our heart and surpass the hypocritical stage of the Pharisees or we won’t enter the kingdom of heaven (Matt. 5:20). This kingdom is entered by doing God’s Will, which is practicing works of righteousness daily on earth, just as works of righteousness are daily being done in heaven by God (Matt. 7:21; 6:10). These are works of helping those in need and doing acts of kindness and charity continually for God’s glory (Acts 9:36). We must have righteousness to enter this kingdom. Righteousness done for God is holiness when it comes from your heart daily (Eph. 6:6; Col. 1:10; Heb. 12:14 King James Version). Matthew 6:1 says that we must practice this righteousness, not to be seen of men like the Pharisees, but as happy slaves of God, doing His Will from the heart. What is this righteousness, then, that we practice daily to please God? “Good works,” say Matthew 5:16 and Romans 2:6-7. We were created in Christ Jesus for good works (Eph. 2:10). All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for training in righteousness and for equipping us for every good work (2 Tim. 3:16-17; Matt. 25:33-40; Luke 3:11; James 2:14, 17; 1 John 3:17-19). Jesus is waiting for many to glorify the Father with good works so the Father can form and reveal His Son in them. Are you keeping God’s Ways of righteousness (Gal. 1:15-16; 4:19)? When Jesus Christ returns, will you be one of the peculiar persons He has made for Himself, and to whom He has given the keys of the kingdom — the truth of how to live the repentant life? Will you be one who is zealous for good works (Titus 2:14)? Remember, Jesus Christ himself said those who have good works are resurrected to eternal life (John 5:29)! - The Overlooked Message of Salvation | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search The Overlooked Message of Salvation It is true that we all need forgiveness from God. We all need to accept Jesus Christ as our personal Savior. We all need to believe in Jesus Christ. We all are in need of God’s grace and forgiveness. We all need to pray, as it were, the sinners prayer, and we all need to be covered by the blood of Jesus for the forgiveness of sins. But the most important requirement in the process of salvation is being completely overlooked and forgotten. We all need to repent. We not only need to repent, but we desperately need to know how to repent. God, Himself, commands us to repent and be saved from this evil generation. “Repent or you will all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3). The Bible sternly warns, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matt. 3:2; 4:17; 10:7). There is quite a difference between the repentance of 2,000 years ago and today. When people repented in Jesus Christ’s day, the way they lived changed 180 degrees. The most permanent thing about the lives of the early believers was change. And change they did. They all became zealous doers of God’s word (Titus 2:14; James 1:22)! How did they become doers of God’s word? How was their faith so different from thousands who profess Jesus Christ today? Their faith had works. It was not a dead faith. It was alive! Wherever true followers of Jesus Christ happened to be, they were zealous for good works (1 Peter 3:13; Titus 2:7). They did not do their works for the reason of salvation, which they all knew was a gift of God and could never be earned. Their good works were done for repentance as a result of being given the gift of salvation by God. To those who have ears to hear, listen (Mark 4:23)! Repentance must result in a life of good works or it is not repentance! A person can say, “I repent, I repent, I repent,” all day long, but if that person’s life does not change or continually display a life of doing good, then repentance is dead all by itself. Not only that, but that person’s faith is dead also, for God’s word says faith without works is most certainly dead (James 2:14-26). Those whose faith is void of works are not practicing repentance and as a result, there can be no spiritual fruit on their trees and no spiritual growth in their daily lives before God. God must cause the growth but true believers must imitate God by keeping His Ways daily (1 Cor. 3:7; Eph. 5:1). In order for God to cause the growth, we must do the repenting. We all know that Jesus Christ lived to glorify the Father by the Way He lived daily. We also know He glorified the Father by good works, not bad works. Jesus commanded His true disciples to glorify the Father in heaven by good works and to let their lights shine by being examples of good deeds (Matt. 5:16; Titus 2:7). All those who profess to know Jesus Christ and remain worthless for good works not only deny Jesus Christ in their daily lives, but continue to live detestable and disobedient lives before God (Titus 1:16). They remain unrepentant. God is angry and upset with thousands of people who profess His name but do not live His life daily by imitating Jesus Christ, His son. Why is He upset? Because these people are not coming out of sin by engaging in a life of righteousness, and as a result, they remain unrepentant. How many who profess the name of Jesus Christ today are living like the true sheep of the Shepherd, Jesus Christ, as described in Matthew 25:33-40? How many are doing these works of righteousness, whether they be in words or deeds, in the name of Jesus Christ for the glory of the Father, as we are commanded to do in Scripture (Col. 3:17)? Do you know that you have to force yourself to do good because doing what is evil comes quite naturally? Yes, you must force or press your way into the kingdom of God that is within you (Luke 16:16; 17:21). Did you know that every time you force yourself to do good for God you resist evil and build godly character? Did you know this is how you discipline your body according to godliness (1 Tim. 4:7)? Did you know this is the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness (Titus 1:1)? The word of God says if anyone comes to you with any other message than the doctrine that conforms you to godliness and the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ, that person is conceited and understands nothing (1 Tim. 6:3). If anyone does not abide in the teaching of Jesus Christ and the doctrine that transforms you into a godly, holy, upright and beautiful person, you are not to receive him into your house or give him a greeting (2 John 9-10). Today, Jesus warns us not to be religiously misled, for many will come preaching in the name of Jesus saying, “Jesus is the Christ, I am He,” signaling that the end of the age is at hand (Mark 13:6). Jesus said, “Don’t go after them” (Luke 21:8; Matt. 24:4). Who are these men? They love to have others look up to them as being righteous and come to them for salvation. However, they do not produce righteous, guilt-free people for God. Like the Pharisees of old, they love to have the adoration of men instead of God. Many become very popular with men but very unpopular with God. That person who is esteemed or well-liked by men is detestable in the sight of God (Is. 2:22; Matt. 5:20; Luke 6:26). Jesus said the world would love its own. What did He mean? The world loves ministers who produce hearers of the word and not doers (Jer. 5:30-31; Ezek. 33:30-32). People love to be told you cannot earn salvation by good works because it is a gift, but they hate to hear that you cannot repent unless you are careful to engage in good works and learn to do good for God (Titus 3:8, 14). True believers are to be provoked, stimulated and to admonish one another to more love and good works (Heb. 10:24). These are not good works to be published in a church bulletin, but works to be done on a personal, daily basis in secret, not to be broadcast to others (Matt. 6:1). This is how you build a one-to-one relationship with Jesus Christ. Someone might ask, “How can I help needy people? I don’t know of any.” Ask Jesus Christ to give you the eyes of a servant and His attitude of being a servant to others, and then be ready to serve! Ask Him to send you the needy, the hungry and the lonely so you can begin to put your discipleship into practice and build some godly good fruit on your tree (Col. 1:10). Good works done daily for God is how you bear much fruit and prove to be a disciple of Jesus Christ (John 15:8). Be like those true believers found in the book of Romans who, by perseverance in doing good, seek for glory, honor and eternal life (Rom. 2:7). If you do not engage in a life of doing good, your life will never be blessed by God (Acts 3:26). It is God who renders blessings to men according to their deeds or works of righteousness (Rom. 2:6; Matt. 16:27). Remember always, the one who does good is of God (3 John 11, 1 John 3:10). True believers are justified doers of the word (James 1:22; James 2:21-24; Rom. 2:13). They obey Jesus Christ and are sprinkled by His blood (1 Peter 1:2). Their sins are forgiven, while those who profess Jesus Christ and remain worthless for doing good deny Jesus Christ because they remain unrepentant (Titus 1:16). True believers are not to live for self any longer but for Jesus Christ only (2 Cor. 5:15; 1 Cor. 10:24). We live for Jesus Christ by dying to sin and living to righteousness (Gal. 5:24). This should be obvious when we read Scriptures like, “But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary of doing good” (2 Thess. 3:13). Those who do not do good for God are going the wrong way. It should be even more obvious that if the Lord is furious when one of His followers becomes lukewarm in regard to doing good, that we should not be lukewarm in our commitment to doing good for God (Rev. 3:15)! God says He will vomit out those who are lukewarm (Rev. 3:16). Scriptures are often quoted out of context. We hear, “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God; not a result of works, that no one should boast” (Eph. 2:8-9). But isn’t it time we read the next verse, which makes the message balanced? We are created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them (Eph. 2:10)! That means we are to live a life of doing good works for God’s glory (Matt. 5:16). What’s wrong with doing that? Another set of Scriptures that is quoted out of context is Titus 3:5-7. “He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” These few Scriptures do not do away with a life of good works. The very next verse admonishes us to be careful to engage in good works (Titus 3:8). Jesus Christ is purifying for Himself a people for His own possession who are zealous and on fire or hot for good works, and have purified themselves through the power of God’s Holy Spirit by doing so (Titus 2:7). There are millions out there who profess Jesus Christ with their mouths but their lives deny Him daily (Titus 1:16)! Don’t feel bad, there’s absolutely no need to feel guilty when you can start to do good right now and repent. Just set your mind to please God each day in all you think, do and say. Then study God’s word each day to show God you mean it. Obey the Scriptures that say we should go out and do good. If you have not heard this message before, it is because you were listening to man and not to God. When you repent by doing good works and by studying God’s word daily, if there’s something you do not understand, ask God. He is not deaf to someone who wants to serve Him by doing His Will of good works on earth as it is being done in heaven (Matt. 6:10). Remember, study your Bible and stop reading it. You can read the Bible for a lifetime and never know it unless you study it. The very next step is putting it into practice by doing good daily as Jesus Christ gave us example to do. Can you begin to realize that if you didn’t live to please God each day by imitating the Way Jesus Christ gave us example to live, then Jesus Christ lived His life in vain as far as your spiritual life is concerned (1 Cor. 11:1; 1 John 2:6)? Don’t you think you’re going to have to force yourself to do good and to do what is right for God in thought, word and deed until it comes from your heart? The Apostle Paul had to do this very same thing (1 Cor. 9:27). We have been bought with a price. Therefore, we are to glorify God in our bodies by engaging in lives of doing good for God. Jesus’ only purpose in life was to do good each day for the glory of His Father. This must be every true believer’s attitude in life until the return of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ says He will allow those who overcome and endure to the end by doing His works—which He gave you example to do—to sit with Him (Rev. 3:21). Jesus emphatically says that many of His true followers will do greater works then He did (John 14:12). Do you believe Him? The prophets of old were sent by God every time the false ministers made crooked the straight Ways of the Lord. The ministers became full of deceit and fraud, and as a result, became sons of the devil, like the Pharisees of the New Testament (Acts 13:10). They were constantly making crooked the straight Ways of the Lord by perverting God’s simple, eternal message. That message was, “Overcome evil by doing good so you will abide forever” (Psalm 37:27; Rom. 12:21). One of the reasons God sent John the Baptist as a prophet was to teach God’s Ways of repentance, and straighten out the message, which the Pharisees had perverted (Mark 1:3). People hate to be told they have to repent by doing good. In the past, they hated that message so much that they killed many of the prophets God sent, and they will kill more in the future. The message was repeated over and over by the prophets of old (Is. 1:16-20). Their message was called the ancient paths where the good way is (Jer. 6:16). Did not our fathers have plenty to eat and drink when they practiced righteousness and honesty one to another? That’s when everything went well for them. They took care of those who were needy and afflicted and constantly did good in His sight. Isn’t this what it means to know the Lord (Jer. 22:15-16)? “Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not the things which I say?” (Luke 6:46-47). Hosea had a novel way of saying the same message of righteousness. Study Hosea 10:12-13 and Zephaniah 2:3 which say the same message of righteousness. Under the Law of Moses, the Israelites were required not only to practice righteousness by continually doing good for God, but they were also required to keep the entire Law, including holy days, animal sacrifices and many other ordinances (Gal. 5:1-4; Col. 2:16-17). We, under the New Testament, are freed from the works of the Law of Moses by engaging only in works of righteousness for God (Rom. 5:20-21). Pure religion is to help others in need and by doing so, to keep ourselves unstained by the world. We can keep ourselves from worldliness, which is sin, by serving others in need and by continually doing good for the glory of God. This is the truth! You know it is the truth, therefore you are required to live it (Ezek. 3:17-21; 33:7-8, 13-16, 31-33) PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Be An Overcomer The Bible says human nature is not good (Jer. 17:9; Gen. 8:21). Therefore, we are told to consider the old self as dead if we are to make headway as disciples of Jesus Christ (Rom. 6:11). God, in His wisdom, knew that if we were to come out of evil, we would have to have something good to do. So, He has told us in His word to overcome our evil natures by doing good (Rom. 12:21). The Apostle Paul also admonished those who were believers to engage in good deeds because these things are good and profitable (Titus 3:8). Doing good is the way we produce fruit for God, and thus, prove ourselves to be true disciples of Jesus Christ (Titus 3:14). John 15:8 says, "By this is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples." We see, then, that we glorify the Father when we bear fruit. Good works are represented by the expression "fruit." We can see this by reading Matthew 5:16 - "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven." and Colossians 1:10 - "…so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God." We could keep one of the sayings of Christ by practicing hospitality (Luke 14:13). We could have the poor, the crippled and the blind over for dinner some evening when we invite our friends. This would allow us to express God’s love in our hearts toward others and glorify our Father in heaven. Jesus Christ gave us a precious list of things we could do in Matthew 25:33-40 and in the teachings of the Sermon on the Mount found in Matthew chapters 5, 6 and 7. Since Jesus Christ is making a peculiar people who are purified and zealous for good deeds, don’t you think we should be doing some good works (Titus 1:10; 2:7, 14; 3:8)? Jesus took on the form of a servant, leaving us an example, that we should be servants, too. Who is there to harm you if you prove zealous for good deeds (1 Peter 3:13)? No one, because that is what makes you a friend of God (John 15:14)! PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

wholewheatonline.com Search Baby Baptism Jesus told His apostles to teach people to observe all that He commanded them. “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you…” (Matt. 28:19-20). How can you teach a baby? How can you make a disciple out of a newborn baby? Can you instruct a newborn how to walk in Christ (Col. 2:6)? Can you instruct a newborn in the doctrine that conforms one to godliness? Jesus was about 30 years old when He was baptized. Children are blameless in God’s eyes (Matt. 18:10). It is not the will of the Father that one little child should perish (Matt. 18:14). When Jesus was a child, He didn’t know enough to refuse evil and choose good (Is. 7:14-16). Did that make Jesus evil and sinful in His youth? Of course not. How can you be a sinner when you don’t even know any better? It is only when you’ve heard and fully understood the true message of overcoming and how easy it is to do that you are no longer in ignorance. From that point on you have no excuse for your sin (John 15:22). You have counted the cost, which a baby or a child cannot do. There is no example of baby, or child, baptism in the Bible. There is no command to baptize babies. This tradition started with men and it means less than nothing to God (Mark 7:8; Col. 2:8). Please, don’t remain foolish, but understand what the perfect will of God really is (Eph. 5:17). Study your Bible—don’t just read it. People will give you pamphlets, articles and books written by men telling you what they want you to believe the Bible says. Don’t believe them. Let only God’s word teach you as you live to please Him daily (2 Tim. 2:7; 1 John 2:27). wholewheatonline.com Search Did Jesus Faith Have Good Works? Jesus said, "My Father is working until now, and I Myself am working; My food is to do the Will of Him who sent Me, and to accomplish His work" (John 5:17; 4:34). These verses say Jesus did the Will of the Father on earth as it is being done in heaven (Matt. 6:10). He was doing the Father’s works, which are all righteous (Rom. 10:3). Jesus Christ and His disciples subjected themselves to the righteousness of God. Jesus even said some who followed Him would do greater works than He did (John 14:12). A lot of people are ready to receive the message of the Way of righteousness today (John 4:35). They are hungry for it. John 4:36 says anyone who is living this Way is already receiving blessings and bearing fruit for eternal life (Matt. 5:19; 3:10; 1 John 3:7, 10, 17-20). Jesus Christ’s faith had works of righteousness (John 10:32, 37-38). He helped people in need of clothing or daily food (James 2:15-17). His faith was not dead but alive because of His good works (James 2:26). Jesus knew that a man is not justified by faith alone, nor by works based on the law of Moses, but by works of righteousness done for God’s glory (James 2:24; Rom. 3:20; Matt. 5:16). Jesus’ works were not based on self-righteousness, which is righteousness of the flesh, but on the righteousness of faith (Rom. 3:27). So also, our works are to be based on the righteousness of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. By doing these works of righteousness, our faith is perfected (James 2:22). Yes, faith without works - daily good works - is dead (James 2:26)! We glorify God by doing good deeds - deeds of charity, deeds of love, lending and giving to those in need and expecting nothing in return, entertaining strangers (which is opening our homes to those in need), visiting the sick, helping the poor, feeding the hungry and never returning evil for evil (Matt. 25:33-40). We must overcome our natures by doing all these good deeds or works for God on a daily basis (Rom. 12:21; Rev. 2:26; 1 Peter 3:13). Begin today to suffocate your old nature and its evil ways. This will allow God to put it to death and give you His nature (Rom. 16:20; Gal. 4:19). As you do, you will begin to realize why a faith without good works is dead, yes, truly dead! - Can We Be Perfect? | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Can We Be Perfect? The Lord said to Abraham in Genesis 17:1, “Walk before Me, and be perfect.” Then the Lord said to His disciples in Matthew 5:48, “Be thou perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect.” Is Jesus lying to us or telling us to be something we cannot be? The Lord told the ancient Israelites in Deuteronomy 18:13 that they were to be perfect before Him. It may surprise you to know that the first person to be perfect was righteous Abel and the second was Enoch. Enoch was perfect because he walked with God, which means he walked like God walks or lives (Gen. 5:22-24; 1 John 3:12; Eph. 5:1). Enoch, then, knew what God’s Will was and did God’s Will (which is righteousness) daily on the earth by being a servant to others in need. God’s word also describes Noah as being perfect, blameless or complete because he, like Enoch, walked with God (Gen. 6:9—see margin note in the New American Standard Version). Job was also called blameless or perfect or complete by God (Job 1:1, 8; 2:3). It’s time to unravel the mystery of what Jesus meant when He said to be perfect. Remember the terms perfect, blameless, complete and walking with God, as they will help to unfold the true meaning of the mystery of being perfect in God’s eyes. Perfect means mature or perfect in attitude toward God—or wholehearted. Perfect means that the righteousness you do toward others (doing God’s Will for God’s glory) comes from your heart (Matt. 5:20; Eph. 6:6). Being perfect, then, is being spiritually mature (Phil. 3:15 NASV—see margin). Perfect is being wholly devoted to pleasing God in all your ways (1 Kings 8:61; 2 Chron. 16:9). Being perfect is maintaining an honest and good heart before the Lord at all times (Luke 8:15). Perfect is being complete in God’s eyes—one who is no longer struggling with the flesh with its evil passions and desires (2 Cor. 13:9, 11; Gal. 5:24). Perfect is allowing Jesus Christ to crush Satan’s nature in you and put it under your heel (Rom. 16:20). Perfect is being zealous for what is good for God’s glory (1 Peter 3:11-13). Being perfect is overcoming our evil natures by keeping Jesus Christ’s works that He came to show us. We are to endure to the end, keeping His works by putting them into practice daily in our lives (Rev. 2:26; John 14:12). Perfect is having Jesus Christ’s nature formed in us by God (Gal. 4:19). Perfect is being zealous for good works instead of making God angry by being lukewarm or cold for them (Rev. 3:10, 15). Perfect is being found worthy by God to go to a place of safety and escape what is soon to come upon the whole world (Rev. 3:10; Luke 21:36 King James Version)—because you are perfected in love, perfected in being a servant of others for God, and perfected in a life of charity towards others (Luke 11:41). When you practice righteousness daily for God in thought, word and deed, you are considered righteous, as God is righteous, says 1 John 3:7. When you continue in this holy Way of living, God perfects His new nature in you (Heb. 12:23; Gal. 4:19). You do the practicing, God does the perfecting (1 Cor. 3:7). The Lord then disciplines us for our good, that we might share His holiness (Heb. 12:10). Even Jesus learned obedience to the Father by the things which He suffered and as a result, He was made perfect by God, as all who obey Him shall become (Heb. 5:8-9). Dorcas was practicing this righteous Way of life by abounding with deeds of kindness and charity, which she continually did to be pleasing to the Lord (Acts 9:36). Then she was considered perfect by God. As a result of her perfect attitude, God allowed her to be resurrected to mortal life, showing that those who have a life of good works—which is true repentance—will come to a resurrection of eternal life when the Lord returns (John 5:29). On the other hand, those who profess they know the Lord but remain worthless for living a life of good works for God’s glory, deny the Lord. They are not living the Way Jesus came to show us all how to live in order to be right in God’s sight, but rather, are continuing to live detestable and disobedient lives before God daily (Titus 1:16; 2:7, 14; 3:8). In conclusion, then, being perfect is being righteous, and being righteous is being holy, and being holy is being blameless in God’s eyes (Eph. 1:4). When you walk with God, you keep only His Ways, which are all righteous (Psalm 145:17). This is done today by keeping Jesus Christ’s words that He received from the Father, by putting them into practice in your daily life (John 8:51). This is how you imitate the Way God lives and talks and walks (Eph. 5:1; 1 Peter 4:11). It’s as simple as that! If it is with great difficulty that the righteous are saved (those who continually do acts of righteousness for God as Jesus did), what will happen to those who are not obedient to the Lord (1 Peter 4:18)? What will happen to those who refuse to obey Him (Matt. 25:41)? Jesus was righteous, perfect, holy and blameless. He came to show us, as well as tell us, how to live this Way of righteousness and, thus, come out of a life of evil and enter a glorious life of goodness (Matt. 21:32; 2 Peter 2:21). By entering a life of goodness, we leave our old lives behind and enter the life of blessings, joy and peace. This is the life He has waiting for all those who will leave their wicked ways behind them (Acts 3:26). This is how to repent and return to God, that your sins may be wiped away (Acts 3:19). This is how to be obedient to the faith and be sprinkled with the Lord’s blood for your past sins (Acts 6:7; 1 Peter 1:2). You must practice the truth daily like Jesus did to have true fellowship with the Lord (3 John 11; John 3:21). Practicing God’s word daily (practicing righteousness daily for the Lord) is how you walk in the light of God’s word, which is obedience. This is how you are cleansed from all unrighteousness and have the blood of Jesus Christ cover your sins (1 John 1:7). These truths are not known by many in the world today. These truths reveal why many people’s lives are not changing, even though they claim they are disciples of Christ. Now you know how to be perfect, complete and blameless in God’s sight. Simply walk in God’s Ways by putting Jesus Christ’s words into daily practice in your life, and you will live forever (John 11:26; 12:48; 15:22; Matt. 7:21; 1 John 2:17). God bless your every step! - Learning to Live to the Spirit | WHOLE WHEAT
Learning to Live to the Spirit A disciple of Jesus Christ, after baptism, is to live to the Spirit in order to please God. How is this done? Before you became a disciple of Jesus Christ, you were by nature living to the flesh. That means that you were thinking your own thoughts and saying your own words. You were directing your own steps and living the way you thought was best. Now you have agreed to live your life to please God, like our example Jesus Christ did. Living to the Spirit is living to please the Father, who gives His Spirit to those who obey Him. What does the Father want us to do in order to live to the Spirit? He wants us to glorify Him by doing good works. Many people believe we live this way naturally after accepting Jesus Christ as our personal Savior. Scripture shows clearly that this is a false conception. Look at the world. It is a mess! Many people who claim to be Christians are practicing a faith without good works. As a result, they remain spiritually dead in their faith. They are becoming religious, but not holy; and without holiness, no one will see the Lord. We cannot possibly be holy without obeying and practicing the words of Jesus Christ each day. This takes godly discipline, but just remember, it is easy and pleasant. It is wonderful. Try it! You will love it and the Lord will love you too. And we are witnesses of these things; and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him. Acts 5:32 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. Ephesians 2:10 What use is it, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but he has no works? Can that faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that? 17 Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself. 18 But someone may well say, “You have faith and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” 19 You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder. 20 But are you willing to recognize, you foolish fellow, that faith without works is useless? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up Isaac his son on the altar? 22 You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected; 23 and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness,” and he was called the friend of God. 24 You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone. 25 In the same way, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way? 26 For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead. James 2:14-26 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord. Hebrews 12:14 (KJV) Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? - How Stubborn Are We? | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search How Stubborn Are We? In the parable of the sower, the only persons who made the grade when they heard the true message of the kingdom where those whose seed was sown on good ground (Matt. 13:23). The good ground represents those with an honest and good heart (Luke 8:15). There are few people with honest and good hearts and that is why many are called and few chosen. It is also why very few find the narrow Way (Matt. 7:14). You cannot know the message of God unless you live the message by being a daily doer of good. You must put into practice the truth in order to come to the understanding of the light (John 3:21). You must be willing to do God’s Will in order to know the teaching (John 7:17). You must live the message in order to say you believe in Jesus Christ, then and only then will you never die (John 11:26). To believe in the Son is to obey the Son, and to obey the Son, you must keep His sayings and do them and perform them (John 3:36; 8:51; 12:47-48; Luke 6:46). The message of repentance is always the same. Overcome evil by doing good if you expect to abide forever (Psalm 34:13-14; 37:27; Rom. 12:21; 1 Peter 3:10; Dan. 4:27; Is. 1:16-17; Zeph. 2:3). This is just what our evil nature does not want to hear. It wants to be told the message that says do nothing and you will be saved (Titus 1:16). When you hear this message, you are warned not to harden your heart - by not living it right away. The message of serving others and doing good becomes nothing more than a good intention to the many, but those few with honest and good hearts begin immediately so their hearts do not begin to harden. A hardened criminal is one who is given every opportunity to change but doesn’t. His desire is to remain who he is and not be told what to do. What happens to those God has called, who have less than an honest and good heart? Are they doomed to be destroyed in the lake of fire? In Revelation 3:15, the Lord is disturbed by those who do not continue to worship Him with their whole heart by being zealous or hot for good works (Titus 2:14). These people had been greatly blessed by God but then became lukewarm for good works for God’s glory (Matt. 5:16). This spiritual sickness happens to many (Rev. 2:5; 3:1-2). This is also what happened to the ancient Israelites when they had the same good news preached to them (Heb. 4:2). God wishes that none should perish so he helps the disobedient to repent. God disciplines us for our own good (Heb. 12:10-11). In the very near future, He will bring many to repentance by bringing on the plagues of Revelation. He will make the sun seven times brighter or hotter to scorch men in order to force their evil natures to repent (Rev. 16:8-11). He will make hail, about 127 pounds in size, come down to get people’s attention and help them repent. A worldwide earthquake will topple all the tall buildings in all the cities of every nation (Rev. 16:18-19). Even Jerusalem will be split into three parts. However, people will continue to blaspheme God (Rev. 16:21). Everyone on this earth will wonder what’s happening? But those who serve the Lord by serving others and live to please Him in all their ways will understand clearly what’s happening. They will have been given eyes to see by God because they have been obedient to His voice—the Bible (Rev. 17:8-9). They are the ones who have come out of religious confusion, religious Babylon, and worship God with their bodies by the way they live (Rom. 12:1). They are continually helping those in need, which is pure religion, undefiled (James 1:27) The Day of the Lord is not to be taken lightly (Zeph. 1:14-18; Is. 66:15-17). God wants us to return to Him so that He can return to us (Zech. 1:3-4; 7:10-12) Notice, the message of how to repent has never changed. Good works are necessary for repentance (Acts 26:20). This is the one message that caused the people to despise the prophets of old. These prophets were sent by God Himself to instruct the people on how to repent and amend their ways, deeds and actions. You’ll never have trouble telling a boy scout to do good; however many Christians seem to have trouble with it. God has told us all along what is good and what He requires of us, but many refuse to listen (Micah 6:8) The word of God is clear that the majority of those God is calling, in the last days, will suffer greatly to be perfected by Him. All one needs to do is review these few Scriptures: Revelation 6:11; 9:15; 13:7; 14:12-13; 18:24; 20:4; and 2:10. God in His mercy will even save those who are lukewarm by testing them severely, if necessary. What a great and wonderful God we live to serve, one who cares more for us than we do for ourselves (Ezek. 33:31-33)! Hallelujah! - The Answer to Your Problems | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search The Answer to Your Problems What should you do first if you have just learned how to please God daily by practicing righteousness, but your present state is one of despair because you have so many personal problems (1 John 3:7)? If you are like most people, you will tell yourself that you should first put your life in order, and then consider living for God. You’ll convince yourself you can’t help others until you first get yourself in condition to do so. Well, that’s just what Satan would want you to say. Your common sense, or human nature, is what has brought you all the curses in your life. It’s time you stopped trying to direct your own steps and instead, do what God says to do (Jer. 10:23). If you trust God by beginning to live for Him right away without delay, you have received the word on good ground and have an honest and a good heart (Matt. 13:23; Luke 8:15). You should start serving God to the best of your ability right away by continually doing what is right everyday. It’s a simple matter to just pray to God and ask Him to work out your impossible situation (1 Peter 5:7). Then, step back and watch the glory of the Lord. It might not happen in 30 seconds, 30 minutes, or 30 days, but rest assured, you have God’s undivided attention. He is giving your request full consideration. Why? Because you are doing things that are pleasing in His sight (1 John 3:22). You are now showing love to God by keeping His Ways, and God is going to show His love for you by responding to your needs. Don’t tell God how you want your problems solved because you can’t possibly know more than He. When He can trust you to live for Him, you can trust Him to live for you (Heb. 10:36). That’s faith that is perfected by works (James 2:22). Remember, when you serve others in need, you are serving God (Matt. 25:40). That is how you worship God in deed and truth (1 John 3:18). Serving others is how you worship God in spirit and truth (John 4:23-24). It’s also how you worship in the Spirit of God (Phil. 3:3). So, get started in your new life by helping someone else who has a problem or a need. Get concerned about serving others continually, as Dorcas did (Acts 9:36). Get your mind off your own problems, and God will gradually work all out for good for His glory (Rom. 8:28). Many do not realize this is how you put to death the evil deeds of the body—by simply doing good for God each day (Rom. 8:12-14). This is truly the answer to your problems. - Come Out of Their Midst and Be Separate | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Come Out of Their Midst and Be Separate Believe it or not, we live in an uncivilized world. God has shown man that they are but beasts (Eccl. 3:18). Mankind has a heart that is desperately wicked and more deceitful than anything you can imagine. It is so evil, it is impossible to know (Jer. 17:9 King James Version). The days are only getting darker and the world revealing more wickedness as each day goes by. When humans do not obey the Lord, they are like brute beasts (Psalm 73:22). They are self-willed and indulge in the flesh with its corrupt desires, despising the authority of God, instead of living a life of doing good and doing God’s Will (Gal. 5:18-20; Rom. 1:24-32). Doing God’s Will is practicing kindness, justice and goodness towards others. Humans remain creatures of instinct doing Satan’s will in their bodies; they are like beasts meant to be destroyed (2 Tim. 2:26; 2 Peter 2:10). When you have human nature, you are by nature a brute beast (Jude 10). Becoming civilized, then, is a process of living by every word of God (Deut. 8:3; Prov. 30:5; Matt. 4:4). It was never meant for man, whom God created, to direct his own steps and live by the way he thought was best for himself (Jer. 10:23). Mankind was to walk in, live by or keep all of God’s Ways, which God has commanded us to keep for our own good (Deut. 5:33; 8:6; 10:12-13; 19:9). God’s thoughts are not our thoughts, neither are God’s Ways our ways. God’s Ways are all righteous; our ways are all wicked (Is. 55:8; Psalm 145:17). All our ways and thoughts are not good (Is. 65:2). This is why God says, in Isaiah 40:17, that all nations before Him are as nothing. They are accounted to Him as less than nothing, yet there were times when God would spare a whole city if there was just one person who was practicing charity towards others (doing justice) and seeking the truth (Jer. 5:1; Gen. 18:22-32; Dan. 4:35). When will mankind realize it is God Almighty who makes nations great and then destroys them when they forsake Him (Is. 60:12)? God has a policy and He does not change (Mal. 3:6). All nations who forget God will return to the grave (Psalm 9:17; 10:16). It is God who rules over the nations (Psalm 22:28; Job 12:23). Jesus is returning soon to set up His kingdom, which will have no end (Luke 1:33). It will be a kingdom where only righteousness dwells. People will only be keeping God’s Ways and doing God’s Will towards one another each and every day. All the nations who are left will come up from year to year at Jerusalem so they may learn God’s Ways in order to be civilized (Is. 2:3; Micah 4:2). Are you becoming civilized by keeping God’s Ways and doing God’s Will on this earth daily as it is being done by God in heaven (Matt. 6:10)? Are you practicing deeds of kindness and love to everyone you meet? Are you becoming born again by practicing righteousness towards your fellow man daily as Jesus gave us example to do (1 John 2:29)? Are you living this Way for Christ (Col. 3:17)? The Lord is coming soon! It’s time to get on His side, so we are off of His hit list (Is. 66:16). Separate yourself from the world and all of its foolishness (Rev. 18:4; 2 Cor. 6:17-18). Draw away from the world and its distractions, and instead draw near to God and His wisdom (1 John 5:19; Mark 4:19; Mark 8:36; James 4:8). Don’t allow yourself to be influenced by others in your life, who are not living God’s truth wholeheartedly (2 Thess. 2:10-12). Do not allow yourself to be influenced by television, movies, the internet, political figures and those of the world promoting themselves and their worldly causes (Luke 9:25, John 15:19; 1 John 2:15-17). When we look at the definition of faction, in Noah Webster’s 1828 dictionary, it means - A party: in political society, combined or acting in union. It also means, discord, dissension, tumult (the commotion, disturbance or agitation of a multitude usually accompanied with great noise, uproar, confusion of voices). We know who the author of confusion is, Satan himself (1 Cor. 14:33). God uses factions, whether political or other groups in our lives, to reveal who have godly character and are approved, according to Him, so that they may clearly be seen (1 Cor. 11:19; 2 Peter 1:4). These groups reveal who is like-minded, and when it comes to factions, that means like-minded in the world. A faction is listed in Galatians 5:20 as a deed of the flesh, and it tells us that those that participate in the deeds of the flesh will not inherit the kingdom of God (Gal. 5:19-21). God says we are to be in full agreement in what we say, so that there be no factions among us (1 Cor. 1:10 AMP). That we be perfectly united in our way of thinking and judgement, according to God and His Ways (Phil. 2:2; Titus 3:9). We cannot be united if we are divided by anything of this world. We are to do nothing from empty conceit (through factional motives or strife) but with an attitude of humility being neither arrogant or self-righteous, regarding others as more important than yourselves (Phil. 2:3 AMP). It is more important than ever to align yourself only with God and leave all worldliness behind; whether politics, or any other worldly group or individual that promotes something other than the whole truth of God’s Will for us (2 Tim. 3:1-7 AMP). The wisdom and the knowledge of this world is foolishness before God (1 Cor. 3:19). God’s word says that the knowledge of this world is demonic, which means it comes from demons (James 3:15; 2 Thess. 2:2; 1 Tim. 4:1). And be careful, as many will seem as though they promote God but secretly have another agenda (Matt.7:15; 2 Cor. 11:13-15). Isn’t that what is going to happen when the antichrist comes (Rev. 20:1-3)? The message will be so similar to God’s truth, that even the elect, if possible, will be deceived (Matt. 24:24; Mark 13:22). This is why it is so important not to get swept up in what is happening in the world (Luke 21:34-35; Col. 3:2; Heb. 12:1). This is why it is so important to build, and maintain, your stand-alone faith. If we are not studying daily and reminding ourselves continually of this truth, and God’s Ways, then Satan can use that as an open door to manipulate and confuse us (1 Cor. 14:33; John 6:33; Matt. 6:11). We must be sober and spiritually aware to what is all around us (1 Pet. 5:8). It is crucial, as the world is deteriorating and more divided than ever (Mark 3:23-26). Be on the alert, at all times, for deception. We are in the midst of spiritual warfare and must have our spiritual armor on at all times (Eph. 6:10-18). We must be united with God, and only God, knowing we come under His protection and promises (Phil. 2:2; Heb. 4:2; Psalm 91:1-3; Heb. 6:11-13). Remember always that God is in control and He is in the process of fulfilling His plan for this world (Isa. 25:1; Jer. 23:20). We do not want to get in the way of His plan. And, we certainly do not want to be stumbling blocks to anyone who is trying to enter the kingdom, because God is going to make a determination between the righteous and the wicked, the sheep and the goats, the wheat and the tares, the good fish and the bad fish, and the hearers of His word and the doers of His word (Matt. 18:7-9; Rev. 3:15-16; Matt. 23:13). He is making a determination between the ones who are civilized and those who choose not to be civilized (Mal. 3:18; Matt. 25:40-41; 13:37-38, 29-30, 48; James 1:22; John 5:29; Rom. 2:7). The faith of those who have good works is not dead, but alive (James 2:14-26)! Doing good is what makes people civilized. Stay close to God, stay in prayer and study your Bible daily to remind yourself of the truth of His Ways (James 4:8; 1 Thess. 5:17; 2 Tim. 2:15; 2 Pet. 1:13; 2 Pet. 3:1). If you come out of the world and are separate, standing with the Lord, you will be His and He will be yours (2 Cor. 6:16-18). It will surely serve you well in the end (Eph. 4:1-3; 1 Tim. 1:5; Matt. 25:21). - Charity the Hidden Gospel | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Charity the Hidden Gospel Jesus taught the complete message of God in parable form many times throughout His ministry. He said He would open His mouth in parables and reveal information that has been hidden from man since the foundation of the world (Matt. 13:35). He spoke in mysteries because salvation was not being granted to everyone, only to those who were chosen and called by the Father (John 15:16; 13:18; Rev. 17:14). It was only granted to those given ears to hear, and eyes to see and understand the simple message of salvation (John 6:44, 65; 3:9-12). One mysterious parable about the kingdom that describes how to be made anew through conversion to God is found in Luke, chapter 11. Jesus said to a Pharisee, “Give that which is within as charity, and then all things are clean for you” (Luke 11:41). God’s word says that one who has perfect love does no harm to another person, but only good. The word charity is used often in God’s word, but it has been replaced by the word love. By substituting the word charity for love, we may better understand what Jesus said to the Pharisee in parable form (Prov. 10:12). When you use your mouth as an instrument of unrighteousness by swearing, cursing or talking foolishly, you are not walking charitably with your neighbor or fellow man. When you help a widow or orphan in need, you are practicing charity before God (James 1:27). When all areas of your life are charitable toward others, you have been perfected in love. You have overcome the evil one (1 John 2:13-14). You have become spiritually perfect or mature (Matt. 5:48). Jesus told the Pharisee the message of how to overcome in parable form so he would not understand it. However, He privately explained the parables He used to His own disciples (Mark 4:33-34). The parable revealed how to repent, how to be a new creature, and how to be obedient to God. The phrase, “then all things will be clean for you,” means that all areas of your life will be in harmony with God’s Will when you have been perfected in charity. You will be clean, with sins forgiven (1 Peter 4:8). God the Father has been calling a few people from every age to be His followers. They imitate Him and keep His Ways (Eph. 5:1; 1 Cor. 11:1). In Elijah’s day, there were 7,000 (1 Kings 19:14-18). In Noah’s day, there was just one (Gen. 7:1). During the last days, which we have now entered, there will be the great final harvest. Many will be called to a life of holiness, but few will heed the call. Many are called but few are chosen (Matt. 22:14). Out of all who heed the call to holiness through overcoming, only those who endure to the end will be saved (Rev. 2:26; Matt. 24:13; 10:22; 2 Tim. 2:12). So by all means, continually give that which is within to charity by continuing to perform good works of love toward all others until you have Jesus Christ’s new nature formed within you (Gal. 4:19). As you continually practice righteousness for God, you will enter the kingdom within, which is true godly conversion (1 John 2:29; Matt. 5:20; Luke 17:21). - The Kingdom of Heaven is at Hand | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search The Kingdom of Heaven is at Hand The kingdom of heaven is entered by repentance. Jesus Christ’s words confirm this (Matt. 4:17). So, to enter the kingdom of heaven and receive eternal life, all one needs to know is how to repent according to God’s word. It is one thing to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and say the Sinner’s prayer from your heart (Eph. 2:8-9). It is another thing to prove your repentance daily by what you think, do and say from that point forward (Eph. 2:10). There are people who continue to live their old sinful lives and continue in their old sinful ways, believing that by some miracle they are saved (Gal. 5:19-21). Many are being told they are saved when they were never even told how to repent. As a result, they continue to live detestable and disobedient lives before God because nothing changes in their lives (Titus 1:16). They continue to live detestable lives because they are not doing good toward others for God daily. God wants us to cease from a life of doing evil by beginning a life of doing good. He wants us to be outgoing, charitable, loving, giving, kind, gracious, honest, honorable and compassionate people (Gal. 5:22-25; Prov. 19:22). He says He will cause growth in us if we will put these principles into practice toward one another daily (1 Cor. 3:7). He wants us to come out of self by doing good for others continually (Rom. 12:21; 1 Peter 3:10-11). He wants us to love our neighbors by helping and serving them and by doing good to them daily. This is how Jesus Christ’s true followers live (Acts 9:36). This is true repentance. Jesus came here not only to die for our sins, but also to be our example of how to overcome (1 Peter 2:21; Rev. 3:21). He came here to show us how to repent so we will live forever (Psalm 37:27). Jesus Christ wants us to live by His words and act on them daily (John 8:51; 11:26; Matt. 7:24; Luke 8:21). God’s Will is righteousness because all God’s Ways are righteous (Psalm 145:17). When we do God’s Will daily, as we are supposed to do, we are practicing righteousness for God. We are pleasing Him in all we think, say and do and we are walking in the light of God’s word (1 John 1:7). We are effectual doers of God’s word and we begin to be blessed in all we do (James 1:22, 25). When we do God’s Will, we will have our prayers answered and we will live forever (John 9:31; 1 John 2:17). Now is the time to repent and enter God’s glorious, good life that is waiting for you (Matt. 7:21). This is the true message of the kingdom of heaven. - Where Wisdom Ends and Faith Begins | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Where Wisdom Ends and Faith Begins Wisdom is the proper use of knowledge. When that knowledge is derived from philosophy or from the higher learning of man, it is termed human knowledge or philosophy. This type of wisdom is of the world and is foolishness according to the word of God (Eccl. 12:11-12). There is another wisdom, and it is from God. Just as God gives His Holy Spirit to those who obey Him, He also gives His wisdom liberally to those who ask Him (Acts 5:32; James 1:5). There is little godly wisdom in this world because God’s words lie dormant in the Bible, waiting for people to obey them. God’s wisdom is based on His laws. His laws are based on His Ways, and His Ways represent His Will. As His followers, we are to do His Will daily on this earth as it is done in heaven (Matt. 6:10). King Solomon was God’s example to the world of how much wisdom He is capable of bestowing on each of us if we will seek and obey Him by serving others for God’s glory (1 Kings 3:9-12). When we are zealously obeying the Lord by keeping His deeds and overcoming our evil side, our faith in this spiritual Way of life increases. As we grow daily in the Lord by imitating Him, our faith grows also (Eph. 5:1). Unless we become daily doers of His words, it is impossible for our faith to grow. James 2:22 says our faith is made complete by our works. A transformation begins from the inside as we continue to live to please the Lord each day on the outside. Our love for God increases, as does our faith. As we continue to serve Him by serving others, we learn to love one another from the heart (1 Thess. 4:9; 3:12). God causes the necessary growth and soon we become new creatures (1 Cor. 3:7; Gal. 6:15). When we have done everything we can do in any given situation and the trial or test continues, then our faith in God takes over. As doers of God’s word we can have full assurance that there is an answer or solution forthcoming from God (James 1:22). This full assurance comes when we live to do what is right in God’s sight on a daily basis (1 John 3:22). There will be situations when we can do nothing and we must rely solely on the Lord to come to our rescue. Our daily righteous Way of life guarantees the Lord’s response to our needs in these times of distress. Blind faith, on the other hand, is when we force a test on God by allowing something wrong to continue without doing anything about it. It is only when we do all we can according to the wisdom God gives us, and then rely on the Lord, that all will go well. Remember though, we must do our part by using God’s wisdom, instead of our own (Prov. 3:5). If we let our children do something dangerous and claim that God will protect them, we are forcing a test on God. We cannot allow our children to be in situations that could harm them mentally, physically or morally, and then expect God to protect them in that situation. This is forcing a test on God. It is not using godly wisdom, but rather the blind wisdom of this world. God’s wisdom warns those who desire to love and obey Him not to keep bad company. Evil people corrupt good morals (1 Cor. 15:33). Violence breeds violence. But there are some who continue to live by their own thoughts, apart from what God’s law book teaches. They are not living by God’s Ways, but continuing to live by their own ways and thoughts which are not good. Yet, they expect that if they have faith in God, the Lord will protect them in every situation. Not so! They are out of God’s Will so their prayers are not according to God’s Will. Faith without works is dead (James 2:26). Faith without daily obedience to God is dead. Faith without God’s wisdom is dead. Faith without doing God’s Will daily is dead. Faith without daily prayer is dead. Faith without the knowledge of God’s word is dead, so continue to study to show yourself approved to God (2 Tim. 2:15). Remember the big three. Put God first, then others, then yourself: 1. Study God’s word daily (Acts 17:11). 2. Apply it by serving others for God (Matt. 25:40). 3. Pray for others first each day, and then for your own needs (1 Peter 3:12). Study, apply and pray. This will assure the growth, the wisdom and the full assurance that the Lord will answer your prayers. Clean out the old leaven—all your ways that are not presently pleasing to God—and become a new lump, a brand new creation (1 Cor. 5:7; Gal. 6:15). When you pray, make sure that you have done your part in the best way possible. Then you will have the full assurance that your prayers will be respected by the Lord. This is where wisdom ends and faith begins. PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

- You Must Be Born Again | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search You Must Be Born Again The most misunderstood subject in the world is that of being born again and as a result, many may lose their salvation. This subject is misunderstood because of religious deception. The most quoted and distorted verses on this subject are found in the third chapter of John. A Pharisee named Nicodemus, who was a leader of the Jews, came to Jesus by night. He came at night because he didn’t want to be seen by his fellow Pharisees and risk being ostracized or excommunicated. Nicodemus made a shocking proclamation to Jesus, saying, “We (meaning the Pharisees back at headquarters) know You have come from God as a teacher” (John 3:2). Jesus knew the Pharisees knew who He was, because they told Jesus they understood what He was saying. Their ears were opened by Jesus. God’s judgment was upon them in regard to their sin and eternal life. Jesus said, “Because you said, ‘We understand,’ your sin remains” (John 9:40-41). As a result, many of those Pharisees became obedient to the faith of Jesus (Acts 6:7). The Pharisees, or ministers, who would not repent were the ones who became Jesus’ mortal enemies. What is not brought out in Scripture is that there were tens of thousands of Jews believing Jesus and converting to the discipleship of Jesus Christ (Acts 21:20, refer to margin notes in NAS). Those who would not repent among the Jewish priests became Jesus’ worst enemies. They were the snakes Baptist John yelled at (Luke 3:7). Jesus called the religious leaders snakes too (Matthew 12:34). Making this background clear is necessary for us to realize who John the Baptist and Jesus Christ were addressing. After Nicodemus’ comment, Jesus began to explain to Nicodemus that a person must be born again. However, because of who he was, Jesus spoke in heavily guarded spiritual language He knew Nicodemus would not understand. He spoke in a parable, which is a dark saying, a riddle or a mystery (Matt. 13:11-16, 17, 35). Jesus answered Nicodemus and said, “Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God” (John 3:5). Notice, Jesus says the kingdom of God is entered. Now turn to Matthew 23:13 and notice how Jesus scolded the Pharisees because they did not enter in themselves. The Pharisees were not entering the kingdom of God. How can we identify those who have entered the kingdom of God? They become new creations, new creatures, new human beings who live spiritual lives on this earth as Jesus Christ did (Gal. 6:15). What are some other signs? These people have crucified the flesh with its evil passions and desires (Gal. 5:24). They walk by the Spirit now and because of this, they do not carry out the evil desires of the flesh (Gal. 5:16). Over a period of time, they have Christ formed in them (Gal. 4:19). How does this happen? They continually discipline themselves for the purpose of godliness (1 Tim. 4:7). Jesus Christ’s doctrine is a holy Way of life. It is a simple, continual Way of life that conforms your old way of life to God’s new Way of life (2 Cor. 5:17). According to God’s word, anyone who does not speak according to this Way is conceited, stupid and understands nothing (1 Tim. 6:3-4). Jesus said in the parable in John 3:5, that we must be born of water. What water is He talking about? We know about the baptism by water that was practiced 2,000 years ago (Matt. 3:15-17). But look! Jesus says, “Whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life” (John 4:14). What was this water? It was Jesus’ works, both from Him directly and as described in passages throughout His word (Eph. 5:26; John 8:51). What did the last part of the verse, regarding the Spirit, mean? We must be born of the Spirit (John 3:5-8). Second Corinthians 3:17 simply states that “the Lord is the Spirit.” First Corinthians 12:13 says, “For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body.” The full explanation of the parable beginning in John 3:5 is: 1. We should be baptized and receive the free gift of God’s Holy Spirit. 2. We should read, study and obey God’s word daily by putting it into practice in our daily lives and be washed by the water of God’s word by studying it daily. Then we will be abiding in the Lord’s word and keeping His commandments, and the Father and the Son will make their abode in our bodies (John 14:23-24). In conclusion, when Jesus was talking to Nicodemus, He was talking to an enemy, not a disciple. Therefore, Jesus spoke to him in heavy spiritual language, a parable (2 Tim. 2:7; Matt. 13:33-34). Jesus knew those who had His Spirit and were living His way of life daily would clearly understand the meaning of this parable. All the others would twist the Scriptures to their own destruction (2 Peter 3:16). Jesus said His kingdom is righteousness and it is entered by righteous deeds that we do in Jesus Christ’s name (Rom. 14:17; Matt. 5:20, 16; 6:1). These righteous acts are called sacrifices (Heb. 13:16; Psalm 4:5; Rom. 12:1). Jesus Christ Himself says we must force ourselves into this kingdom (Luke 16:16). “The kingdom is within us,” He says in the true translation of Luke 17:21. Unless we practice righteousness daily for Jesus Christ, for repentance, we will all likewise perish (Luke 13:3, 5). Doesn’t it make sense that if we are going to be judged by our deeds, we had better make sure they are all righteous in God’s eyes (John 3:10; Rev. 20:12)? We are all going to be judged on judgment day by Jesus’ words, which He told us to keep (John 12:47-50). We need to be sure we understand these Scriptures and begin to change our ways to His Ways. Jesus says only those who have done the good deeds will come forth to a resurrection of life (John 5:29). Stop listening to those who confuse you and tell you differently.
