  • How to Live a Happy Life | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Live a Happy Life God’s word says that supreme happiness comes from being totally selfless. This is done by becoming a full-time servant of others (Phil. 2:3-5; 1 Cor. 10:24). On the surface, this sounds like it is a supreme sacrifice on one’s part, but that notion couldn’t be further from the truth. Happiness comes from serving others, and teaching yourself to be totally outward is sheer health to your bones (Prov. 3:7-8). If you don’t want the problems that others have, then help others who have those problems (1 Thess. 5:14; Rom. 12:21). When you begin to practice living this way, it will become evident to you that it is not as easy as you may think. You must force yourself to continue this course until you receive a change of heart and nature (Luke 16:16; 1 Cor. 9:25-27; Gal. 4:19). This is when you eventually become what you are practicing to be—a new creature, a worthy individual, a totally unselfish, happy, peaceful, new person who lives the truly abundant life (Gal. 6:15; John 10:10). This is a way of life that takes total commitment (John 11:26). But who wouldn’t totally commit themselves to being happy if they could be assured of the outcome? This assurance comes from the many changed lives of individuals who have started and finished before you. You can see by their lives that there has been a positive change for the good so, indeed, this is the truth. Sure, it takes courage and perseverance—you must persevere until you have reached your goal (Luke 21:19; 13:24). But isn’t this true for any worthy goal (Rom. 2:7)? • Do Good Works Come Naturally? | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Do Good Works Come Naturally? “When you have the Spirit of God, you just naturally do good works. You don’t have to consciously think of doing them; it’s a natural result of having His Spirit.” Is there anything wrong with the above statement? It sounds good to the ear. It even sounds reasonable. To be sure, let’s see if it holds up under the word of God. The apostles were commanded by Jesus Christ, in their three years of training, to teach people all that He commanded and taught them. What does this teach us? Jesus Christ commands us to do something (Matt. 28:20). Jesus says a determination is being made as to whether or not we will keep His commandments and bear fruit (Matt. 3:10). He says we must strive to enter by pushing ourselves, and many will not make it (Luke 13:24). We have to give up something—our old ways (Luke 14:33). We have to persevere to win our souls (Luke 21:19). We have to force our way into the kingdom (Luke 16:16). Our righteousness must surpass the hypocritical stage of the scribes and Pharisees who were hypocrites (Matt. 5:20; 23:5, 13). The Bible tells us we will eventually be like happy slaves, doing God’s Will (righteousness) from the heart (Eph. 6:6). But first we must overcome our natures by disciplining ourselves according to godliness; and to do this, we must force ourselves at times to do Christ’s works or deeds (1 Tim. 4:7; Rev. 2:26; John 14:12). We are told to fight the good fight of faith (1 Tim. 1:18; 2 Tim. 4:7). We are told to endure to the end to be saved (Matt. 10:22; 24:13; Heb. 10:36). In other words, we are to do good deeds of righteousness until the end (Heb. 10:24-25). We must not grow weary or lose heart in doing good deeds (Gal. 6:9). We have to live this Way daily to be worthy of Christ (Matt. 10:38). We are commanded to be careful to engage in good deeds for the purpose of overcoming the devil (Titus 3:8; Rom. 12:21). If we prove zealous for good deeds and allow God to crush Satan’s will in our lives, he can do us no harm (1 Peter 3:13; 2 Tim. 2:26; Rom. 16:20). Now, let’s ask the question again. “Will you naturally do good as a result of having God’s Spirit in you?” In order to continue to think that doing good is automatic for a disciple of Jesus Christ, a person would have to cancel out all of the above Scriptures, and they represent but a few of the many which can be found in God’s word on this subject (Psalm 11:7). • Faith and Grace | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Faith and Grace The subject of faith has been so badly abused that we have a world full of faithless people who call themselves Christians. Is salvation by faith or is salvation by grace? Doesn’t salvation come through repentance and obedience to God’s word? Doesn’t the Bible teach that those who do the Will of God will abide forever and enter the kingdom (1 John 2:17; Matt. 7:21)? Don’t you have to keep Christ’s words to overcome and never see death (John 8:51; Rev. 2:26)? The whole subject of faith and grace cannot be clearly understood unless you understand the subjects of faith and works. Without the works of faith, faith is dead, being by itself (James 2:14-26). Jesus Christ’s faith had good works, so His faith was not dead. Jesus was always imitating the Father daily, just as we are admonished to do (Eph. 5:1). If you say that you know the Lord, you must keep His word (John 8:55). You keep the Lord’s word by doing the works of the Father daily. You show people how to be a true disciple of Jesus Christ and you are ready to tell them, should they ask you, how to become a true disciple (Psalm 51:13; John 10:37). Jesus did not come to the earth to do His own Will, but to do the Will of the Father daily as it is done in heaven (John 4:34; 5:30; 6:38). Jesus did good works to glorify God in the Father’s name (Matt. 5:16; John 10:25). We, today, are to do good works in thought, word and deed, in the name of Jesus, giving thanks through Him to the Father (Col. 3:17). We need to be filled with the knowledge of God’s Will and have our minds renewed (Col. 1:9; Rom. 12:2). We cannot remain fools if we want to do God’s Will from the heart (Eph. 5:17; 6:6). We must diligently serve the Lord by happily practicing righteousness at all times so we can be blessed by Him and changed by Him (Rom. 12:11; Matt. 11:30; Psalm 106:3). If you keep Christ’s faith, you will engage in good works (Titus 3:8). You can rightly say that you believe because you are obeying the gospel and are a doer of the Lord’s word (James 1:22). Then by grace, God will forgive all your sins, past, present and future. He will then give you the free gift of eternal life because you repented and brought forth good works to prove it (Acts 26:20). • How to Get out of a Mess | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Get out of a Mess A mess is generally made up of many parts. The first thing to do is realize that you are part of it and whatever part you are, makes little difference. Messes are the result of sins, and the good life is the result of righteousness. If you want a mess, continue to sin. If you want the good life, then start being good by doing good (Rom. 12:21; 1 Peter 3:10-11). It is the only way to solve your problems. Now, if you do good for anyone, except God, you will get puffed-up and think you are a pretty nice person and that again is sin. God says your righteousness, if not done to please God, is as a flithy rag or as the original Hebrew text says, dirty menstrual cloth (Is. 64:6). Since Jesus Christ said He was not good, and yet all He did was good, it would be blasphemy for us to think of ourselves as good, except through Jesus Christ (Luke 18:19; 24:19; Acts 10:38; John 21:25). Paul understood this, because he said, "I am convinced that there is no good thing in me" (Rom. 7:18; 8:1). Now, there are some other directions to follow. You have got to care to get there, and you must start to finish. You must keep your eye upon the goal. You must persevere to win your soul (Luke 21:19). The more good you do, the better you will feel. The better you feel, the more good you will do. It is an endless glory race, that makes you wear a happy face. Jesus said it is easy, pleasant and rewarding (Matt. 11:30; 6:33). Jesus Christ wants you to come to Him (Matt. 11:28-29; 2 Tim. 2:7). This is why He came. Will you study His word daily so He can teach you? Will you live to please God every day, in all that you think, do and say? If you do, He will please you and bless all you do, and answer your prayers when you pray. God can help you get out of the mess you are in, if you will obey Him and live for Him daily. • The Lake of Fire | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search The Lake of Fire The pagan concept of the lake of fire is that it is an ever-burning place of torment, where unrepentant sinners go to be tortured for eternity. Close examination in the word of God reveals that concept is foolishness. God is not giving eternal life to those who are going to hell, but rather, eternal life is only going to those who are found worthy of it (Luke 20:35). Jesus says that the soul, as well as the body, can be destroyed by God in the lake of fire (Matt. 10:28). The lake of fire, then, is the second death (Rev. 20:14; 21:8). Isaiah 30:33 mentions a place called Topheth where the Lord sets a fire. This place Topheth is now a public park in the Jerusalem area. It is the place where the ancient Israelites sacrificed their children to the god Baal, which is just another name for Satan (Jer. 19:4-5). In Jesus Christ’s day, it was called Gehenna and it was the city dump. Those who died a dishonorable death were thrown into this dump area, where there were fires burning continually. People threw their garbage in there daily. The corpses were left to rot or be eaten by wild dogs. Isaiah 31:9 prophesied that this lake of fire, which is referred to also as a furnace, will be in Zion. Zion is another name for Jerusalem. Jesus Christ will start this lake of fire when He returns shortly to set up His government and rule the nations of this earth with a rod of iron (Rev. 19:15). His kingdom will have no end (Luke 1:32-33; Is. 9:6-7; 1 Cor. 15:25). We who overcome our evil natures by keeping Jesus Christ’s works, and endure to the end keeping them, will rule with Him (Rev. 2:26-27). The reward of the saved is to rule on this earth, not in heaven (Rev. 5:10; 1:6). Who goes into this lake of fire that has been prepared for the devil and his angels (Matt. 25:41)? The Bible is clear that the first two customers will be the beast and the false prophet (Rev. 13:14-17; 19:20). They love statues, which God abhors. God is going to destroy those who fall away after He has put them in charge over people He is calling (Matt. 24:48-51). The goats—those who knew that God’s true message of serving others and would not repent by doing so—will also be destroyed in the lake of fire. Anyone who goes on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth will be thrown into the lake of fire (Heb. 10:26-27). This is referring to anyone who has once been enlightened, known the truth, was baptized and received God’s Holy Spirit (Heb. 6:4-8). This is anyone who has known the Way of righteousness and has started to overcome, and then went back to his old way of life and was overcome by sin or evil again (2 Peter 2:20-22). These will all be written down in a book (Jer. 17:13). Because they did not overcome evil, but were overcome by evil, they will have their names erased from the book of life (Rev. 3:5; 1 Peter 3:10-11,13; Rom. 12:21; Ex. 32:32-33). They will go into the lake of fire. Those, however, who had good works and endured to the end will come into life everlasting (John 5:29). It should be clear that practicing good works daily is important in the true gospel message of Jesus Christ. This is how we repent (Luke 13:3, 5; Acts 3:26). It is how we glorify God and let our lights shine before others (Matt. 5:16). We are blessed when we repent by doing good works, and thus, return to God (Matt. 16:27; Rom. 2:6, 10; Rev. 22:12; Acts 3:19; 26:20). We build godly character or fruit on our spiritual trees by practicing good works (Col. 1:10; Matt. 3:8, 10). This is how we imitate God and allow God to live in us (Eph. 5:1; Gal. 4:19). It is how we keep Jesus’ words and God’s commandments in spirit (John 4:24; Gal. 5:16). When we practice righteousness, we overcome our evil nature and have Jesus Christ’s nature formed in us (Psalm 34:14; 37:27; Dan. 4:27; 1 Peter 3:10-11; Rom. 12:21; Rev. 2:26). As we learn righteousness, our faith is perfected (James 2:22; Titus 3:14). We become constant doers of God’s word (James 1:22). We become kind and charitable people and righteousness (God’s Will) eventually comes from our hearts (Eph. 6:6). We clothe ourselves with Jesus Christ (Job 29:14; Psalm 132:9). This is the narrow Way, and it is not generally known or taught today (Matt. 7:14). • God's Judgment on a Nation | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search God's Judgment on a Nation When God pronounces judgment on a nation through a prophet, there is a space of time given in which the people are allowed to repent. First, they must hear what they are doing wrong (Ezek. 3:17-19, 21). Then, they must be told how to repent by doing what is right. Notice that after Daniel told Nebuchadnezzar how to repent, 12 months went by before the curse announced by the angel of God came to pass (Dan. 4:27, 29, 37). The Apostle Peter describes the repentant life saying, cease to do evil, learn to do good (1 Peter 3:8-12; Is. 1:16-17). If the people were practicing wickedness, they had to stop doing those things and start practicing righteousness for God. If the people were using their bodies to do evil, they were told to begin to use their bodies to do good (Rom. 6:13; 12:1, 21). When the King of Nineveh heard of impending judgment on his city, he issued a proclamation that all the people, herds and flocks should fast from eating food and drinking water. Then, he commanded all his people to cease from sinning, to cease from all forms of wickedness and violence. When God saw their deeds, that they had turned from their wicked ways, He did not do what He had declared He would do to them (Jonah 3:6-10). The word of God says there is only one way to repent and turn from your wicked ways and that is by doing good deeds for God (Acts 26:20). That is how you turn away from your evil ways (Job 1:1; 2:3). It is the only Way! It is the narrow Way that few find (Matt. 7:14). It is ridiculous to think that a person can repent by doing nothing, as millions are erroneously being taught today. You cannot repent by living a life of doing nothing for your Savior, Jesus Christ. God says doers of the word are the only ones who are justified among those who call themselves followers of Jesus Christ (James 2:24). Now is the time to repent before God so that when God brings this nation into judgment for its sins, you will not be part of that judgment. God is going to send curses upon the whole world to test the people of the world (Rev. 3:10). He is going to determine who the righteous and the wicked will be (Mal. 3:18). He wants to know who will be the sheep and serve others by doing good for God, and who will be the goats because they refuse to repent and do good for God (Matt. 25: 33, 40, 46). • God's Righteousness | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search God's Righteousness What is self-righteousness? Self-righteousness is righteousness done by self, for self, apart from God. What is God’s righteousness? It is righteous acts that God does daily for widows in distress, orphans and those who have no helper. It is anything God does in the way of righteous acts. Can humans perform God’s righteousness? Most certainly! Righteousness is the heart and core of Jesus Christ’s message. Jesus did all His righteousness in the name of the Father when He was performing His Father’s works upon this earth (John 10:25, 37-38). We are to do all our works of righteousness in the name of Jesus Christ for the glory of the Father (Col. 3:17; Matt. 5:16). Jesus said to have people over for dinner who cannot return the favor (Luke 14:12-13). He said to help people who have no money, visit the sick, clothe the naked, give a person a place to stay who is in need of it, practice hospitality, visit the widow in her affliction, help the orphans, and pray for people (Matt. 25:33-40). On and on the Scriptures go, showing us how to do Christ’s deeds or works and, in the process of doing so, overcome our human natures (Rev. 2:26; John 14:12). No wonder disciples back in Christ’s day did such mighty works (Acts 9:36). The apostles were making people who were doers of the word (Titus 3:8; James 1:22). They were becoming happy slaves of righteousness. They were doing God’s Will, which is righteousness, from the heart (Eph. 6:6). The rich were told to be rich in good deeds with their money and to be always ready to share (1 Tim. 6:18). Even Zacchaeus understood what God meant by repentance when he vowed to give half of his wealth to the poor and pay back four times what he had taken fraudulently from people (Luke 19:8). He knew God’s policy of righteousness never changes. Ezekiel 33:14-16 says, if the wicked turns from his ways and starts to practice justice and righteousness, he shall surely live. If he pays his debts to others, none of his sins will be remembered against him. If he has started to practice righteousness and justice, he will surely live. Remember, God never changes (Mal. 3:6; Heb. 13:8). In every nation, the man who respects (fears) God and practices righteousness is welcome to Him (Acts 10:35). The righteousness God wants from us is His righteousness, not self-righteousness (1 John 3:7). So, beware of practicing your righteousness to be noticed by other people, because that is self-righteousness (Matt. 6:1). Instead, find out what God expects and begin to practice doing your righteous acts for God’s glory daily (Matt. 5:16, 20; 2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2:15; Col. 3:17). Then you, like Abraham, will be God’s friend (James 2:23). PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • Walk in the Light | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Walk in the Light What does the expression "walk in the light" as found in 1 John 1:7 mean? Light and darkness have always been used to represent good and bad, right and wrong, righteousness and lawlessness. Walking in the light is doing good, whereas walking in the dark is doing evil. Avoiding doing what is bad is not being good. Refraining yourself from doing evil is good only when it is connected with a life of doing good for God. You see, to overcome character weakness, you must be engaged in building character strengths, because you overcome evil by doing good (Rom. 12:21). Now, God knows human nature is lazy, indifferent, contentious, slothful and evil. It wants to do what is good but is unable. This is because the pull for evil inside is greater than the pull for good. So a plan had to be devised in which all could have an opportunity for Salvation - the lonely, the rich, the noble, the lame and the blind - everyone! The god of the carnal heart, Satan, had to be crushed and removed from the heart, and only God could do that (Rom. 16:20). The desire to do good had to be strengthened, and only God could do that. Godly character had to be built, and only God could do that (1 Cor. 3:7). Human nature had to be perfected, and only God could do that (1 Peter 5:10). But what could man do for his part? Repent! Repent means be willing to change your ways. Change your ways to God’s Ways. How? By disciplining yourself to perform acts that please God daily. Is it hard? Jesus Christ said His Way is easy and pleasant and a child would not have any trouble performing it daily (Matt. 11:30). When you walk in the light as Jesus Christ did by only living to please the Father, you are obeying Jesus Christ and will be sprinkled with His blood (1 Peter 1:2). The blood of Jesus Christ will then cleanse you from all your sins (1 John 1:7). Jesus Christ bore our sins in His body so we might die to our sinful natures by living a righteous life (1 Peter 2:24). We prove that we are God’s children by practicing righteousness daily for God (1 John 3:7, 10). The one who does good daily for God is of God (3 John 11). This good is done daily by sharing food and clothes with widows and orphans (Heb. 13:16; Luke 3:11; James 1:27). This good is done by acts and words of kindness and charity - to the blind, the lame, the old, the young, your wife, your children, your folks - all done in the name of our precious Lord and Master, and soon to return King, Jesus Christ (Acts 9:36; Col. 3:17). • Happiness Is... | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Happiness Is... Just as there is only one truth, there also is only one happiness. True happiness comes from a warm relationship with God. Abraham, Noah, Daniel and a host of other people have had this true happiness in the past. What is true happiness? Happiness is: * Finding the true purpose for your existence (Eph. 2:10). * Knowing God's Will and then performing it daily in your life (Matt. 6:10; 7:21; Luke 8:21; 1 John 2:17; 1 Peter 2:15; 4:2, 6; Col. 1:10). * Having the attitude of a servant toward others at all times as Jesus Christ, our Savior and example, did (Rom. 15:2-3; 1 Cor. 10:24; Matt. 20:26-28; 23:11). * Having the knowledge of the truth - God's word - and being set free from all religious deception, with its satanic tentacles that grip the earth (John 8:31-32; Rev. 12:9). * Being set free from all pagan religious traditions of men that make the worship of Jesus Christ in vain (Mark 7:7). * Receiving answered prayer because you are constantly doing God's Will and are pleasing in His sight (1 John 3:22; John 9:31). * Hating what is evil and loving what is good (Psalm 45:7; 97:10). * Hating worldliness and the things that war against the Spirit, such as dirty movies and magazines, swearing, lying, stealing, lusting, drunkenness, etc., for these things are not pleasing to God (Rom. 8:13; Gal. 5:18-20). * Always being patient toward others (1 Thess. 5:14; 2 Tim. 2:24; James 5:8; 1 Cor. 13:4). * Always forgiving others and not holding any bitterness toward them (Matt. 6:14-15; Eph. 4:31). * Always living to please God within your marriage and having happy and obedient children (1 Cor. 7:2-5; Prov. 22:6). * Always having peace and not letting those who have no peace take yours (Rom. 14:19; Psalm 34:14). * Always having faith in Christ Jesus that He will supply all your needs after you have done God's Will, and knowing that all will go right for the righteous (Is. 3:10, Matt. 6:25-33). * Going to God and His word for the truth, instead of to books written by men, which are a great source of religious confusion (Eccl. 12:12). * Keeping life simple by keeping it pure (1 Thess. 4:11; Phil. 4:8; Matt. 5:8). * Having the trusting attitude of a child toward the Lord at all times (Matt. 18:3, Psalm 131:1-2). * Learning who Jesus Christ really is by studying God's word, instead of believing what man says He is (2 Tim. 2:15). * Studying God's word for the answers to all of life's problems and questions (2 Tim. 3:16-17). * Wearing out your Bible for God by reading it every day and highlighting the Scriptures (Acts 17:11). In conclusion, true happiness is knowing God's Ways and putting them into action in your daily life. This is the only way to be a friend of God. Remember always, Jesus Christ is God and we must keep only His words in order to be truly happy and never see death (John 8:51). wholewheatonline.com Search Practice Makes Perfect Psalm 4:4 says, “Tremble and do not sin.” Generally, religious people today do not fear God to such an extent that they tremble when they sin. People claim they cannot help but sin, because we are all sinners and people who say they have no sins are liars. They use 1 John 1:8, as an excuse to continue sinning. Yet, at the same time, Jesus says we are to ℹ️be perfect as the heavenly Father is perfect (Matt. 5:48). Jesus also commanded one person to go and sin no more lest something worse would come upon him. Was Jesus’ command unreasonable, or can we be perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect? Did Jesus teach this seemingly unreasonable doctrine about not sinning and being perfect to His disciples? One thing for sure is, not many people know the answer to this Bible mystery. The apostle Paul had the attitude that he had not obtained the state of perfection yet and therefore, he felt he wasn’t worthy to come up in a resurrection to eternal life (Phil. 3:11, 14). What a far cry his gospel is from those today who preach, “Give your heart to the Lord and just believe; you’ll be saved.” Some even go so far as to say you cannot lose your salvation once you have it. They use only certain Scriptures and avoid others that will not back up their false doctrines of half truths. Jesus Himself, who cannot lie, said you have to be considered worthy to attain to the age of the resurrection (Luke 20:35). Doesn’t He know what He’s talking about? Jesus told those who follow Him to beware of the teachings of the Pharisees (Matt. 16:6-12). Those Pharisees, or hypocrites, exist today much more than they did in Jesus’ day. Remember, there is only one true teaching and that comes from Jesus Christ alone (John 14:6). Let’s see what God’s word, the Bible, has to say about being perfect and not sinning. There is a word that is not used much or understood in God’s word. It is a word that few people realize is a key that unlocks the true gospel. That word is practice. We’ve all heard the expression, “Practice makes perfect,” but not many people take that phrase seriously. Yes, practice, when it is connected to ℹ️righteousness, does make one perfect, as Jesus said in Matthew 5:48. Ironically, the key word “practicing” is used for the first time, in the New Testament, in the very next verse. In Matthew 6:1, Jesus Christ Himself says to His true disciples; “Beware of practicing your righteousness to be noticed by men.” These words show that true disciples of Jesus Christ practice righteousness, and it isn’t just a few hours a week. It’s all the time. Why are true followers of Jesus Christ continually practicing righteousness—continually doing good? The first reason is, they are imitating their Savior, Jesus Christ, who continually went about doing good (Acts 10:38). Were Jesus Christ’s true disciples abounding with deeds of kindness and charity which they continually did? The answer is, yes (Acts 9:36)! This is how the Father in heaven is glorified and it is the Way a true disciple, or overcomer, let’s his light shine before others (Matt. 5:16). The second reason disciples of Jesus Christ are practicing righteousness is, for overcoming. You see, they are disciplining themselves daily for the purpose of godliness (1 Tim. 4:7). Jesus gave His true followers instructions on righteousness and warned them that the righteousness they were practicing had to exceed the righteousness of the Pharisees, or they would not be converted. In other words, they would not enter the ℹ️kingdom of God within until their righteousness came from their hearts. They would not receive the new nature, Jesus Christ’s nature formed in them, until their righteousness was no longer done hypocritically (Matt. 5:20; Gal. 4:19; Luke 17:21). All God’s Ways are righteous (Psalm 145:17). All Jesus’ Ways were righteous. All our ways must be made righteous before God. How can this be? God’s Ways are God’s Will, so then, God’s Will is righteousness. God says we are to do His Will from the heart, and then we will have His nature formed in us (Eph. 6:6; 1 Peter 5:10). There will be a certain amount of testing or suffering, but you can be sure it is nothing compared to the new nature and the revelation of His glory (1 Peter 4:12-13). In effect, when you practice righteousness each day for God, you are overcoming the evil one, overcoming your evil side, your evil nature, your satanic nature. Every time you resist the evil impulses of your snake-like nature, the snake and the evil impulses grow weaker. The food that keeps the snake strong and healthy in your body is sin (Gen. 4:7). Satan is put to death in your body by practicing righteousness for God and His glory (Rom. 12:21). This allows God to crush Satan and put him under your heel or authority (Rom. 16:20). Psalm 37:27 puts it all together when it says, “Overcome evil by doing good, so you will abide forever [live forever].” Many do not know that being born again is the ℹ️overcoming process. The one Scripture that is never mentioned by those who falsely say they are born again is 1 John 2:29. It is saying if you know that Jesus Christ is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is truly born of Him. True disciples practice righteousness daily for God’s glory, for God’s blessings and rewards, and for overcoming their evil natures. They practice righteousness so they can have Christ’s nature formed in them, and enter God’s rest as mentioned in Hebrews 4:10 and Galatians 4:19. Now, here is a point on righteousness about which many remain deceived. First John 3:7 says, “The one who practices righteousness [for God] is [considered] righteous just as God is righteous.” God’s word said it, we believe it, and that settles it. You are righteous in God’s eyes when you practice righteousness to please Him each day. What about those who will not overcome by practicing righteousness daily for God? They remain of the devil, according to God’s word, which cannot lie (1 John 3:10; Heb. 6:18). Jesus overcame the world. He was tested in all things and Satan could not find any fault in Him (John 14:30; 16:33). We, too, are to overcome the evil pulls of the flesh and put them to death with the help of God’s Spirit (Rom. 8:13; Gal. 5:16). If we don’t or won’t obey Jesus Christ, we won’t be covered by the blood of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:2). God gives His Spirit only to those who will obey Him (Acts 5:32). ℹ️We must live as Jesus Christ gave us example to live, and overcome our evil natures by keeping His works. We must endure to the end keeping them, if we are to be covered by His blood (John 14:12; Rev. 2:26; 3:21; 21:7). The only exception for anyone is a situation similar to that of the thief who was dying on a cross. Otherwise, there is no excuse for refusing to overcome. The word perfect, in the Bible, means spiritually mature. See the margin note in Philippians 3:15. Mature followers of Jesus Christ no longer practice sin in their lives, but only practice righteousness toward God for His glory. They do all the good that they do in the name of Jesus Christ as they have been commanded in Colossians 3:17. They do not hold out on God in certain areas of their lives, but are wholeheartedly devoted to pleasing God. They are perfect in attitude, perfect in gratitude. They have developed honest and good hearts, if they didn’t have them to begin with (Luke 8:15). They have been made complete (2 Cor. 13:9, 11). They have rested from all their works of the flesh and have entered the kingdom of God within, which is God’s rest (Heb. 4:10; Luke 17:21). Yes, practice does make perfect and idleness is the devil’s hand tool. That fact has been explained, and proven in great detail, in this study. If you want to be perfect, then you had better start to practice the faith of Jesus Christ, because there is only one faith (Eph. 4:5). God bless you in your walk with God. • Imitate God: A Woman to Woman Article | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Imitate God: A Woman to Woman Article We are created in God’s image (Gen. 1:26). He knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows how we should live. Yes, we are to walk like God walks and talk like God talks in order to be healthy and happy (Eph. 5:1; 1 Peter 4:11). Paul wrote this to the Ephesians: “Be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you, and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma” (Eph. 5:1-2). What an awesome thing Christ did. He gave His life as a sacrifice for us, so that when we live to please Him every day, this is our sacrifice of righteousness for Him. As a result, our sins are forgiven (Heb. 13:16). We are admonished in Ephesians 5:8 to “walk as children of light.” What does this mean? The answer is in the next two verses. Ephesians 5:9-10 say: “For the fruit of the light consists of all goodness and righteousness and truth, trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.” To learn what pleases the Lord is very important. It consists of studying the Scriptures daily by subject (2 Tim. 2:15 KJV; 2 Tim. 3:16-17). Ephesians 5:15 says: “Be careful how you walk, not as unwise men [or women], but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil.” Are we doing our best for God with each and every hour that passes? Are we performing acts of kindness and love and saying good words continually to glorify God in thought and in deed? Ephesians 5:17 tells us not to be foolish, but understand what the Will of the Lord is. Good words and kind deeds are His Will, and we are to do them in Jesus Christ’s name for God’s glory (Col. 3:17). We want to do all we do with the right attitude. See Ephesians 5:18-20: “...Be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Father.” It pleases God to do all we do in word and deed with an attitude of thankfulness and a happy heart. God is telling us to put on the new self with all these Scriptures. We are laying aside the old self and truly overcoming evil when we are doing good, which is putting on the new self in the likeness of God (Eph. 4:22, 24; Psalm 37:27). Let us sing a happy song, Let’s be thankful all day long. Making music in our heart, Gives each day a brand new start. It’s a song of thankfulness, It’s the Way of righteousness. Live to please the Lord above, Walking in His Ways of love. PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

wholewheatonline.com Search Understanding Human Nature What is human nature? It is sneaky, indifferent, evil, underhanded, untrustworthy, double-minded, unstable, destructive, degenerative, unreasoning, uncooperative, competitive, vile and evil in every way. It looks for what is wrong rather than what is right (Jer. 6:16). It sees the negative and hates the positive. It is dark because it is evil and hates the light, which is goodness. The Bible goes on and on, making list upon list about human nature and the deeds of the flesh (Gal. 5:19-21; Mark 7:21-23; Eph. 5:5; Jude 15-16; 2 Tim. 3:2-4; Rom. 1:29-32; Mal. 3:5). Human nature is evil and contains no good thing. Even the good we do in the flesh, is like filthy rags to God (Is. 64:6). The good we do in the flesh puffs us up, makes us haughty and arrogant, and makes us feel that we don’t need repentance. All the good we do in the flesh is done for self-interest, or for gaining advantage in one way or another. The good we do in the Spirit, however, is the complete opposite. When we overcome our evil natures by doing good works for God on a daily basis, and heed God’s warnings to do what we do in secret and not blow our horns, we begin to feel our old evil natures die (Matt. 6:1; 5:16, 20). We starve out the evil by just doing good for God with our bodies, our minds and our mouths. We force our bodies to do what is right with the power from the Holy Spirit, whom God gives to those who obey Him (Acts 5:32). God never made a nature He couldn’t crush, but He does need your cooperation, participation and effort to form Christ’s new nature in you (Psalm 50:22-23). He wants you to practice righteousness for Him daily. He wants you to put your hand to the plow and not turn back, or stop, until that nature is put to death. Then, God has had a chance to perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you in His love (Luke 9:62; 1 Peter 5:10; 1 John 4:18).❑ PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • Enduring With Patience | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Enduring With Patience What does suffering have to do with living God's holy Way of life? Isn't life a bed of roses once a person puts his hand to the plow and decides to practice God's Will in his daily life? But wait! What about the Scripture that says anyone desiring to live in a godly way will suffer persecution (2 Tim. 3:12)? We know those who do wrong suffer (2 Peter 2:13). But is there suffering for those who are doing what is right (1 Peter 2:20-21; 3:17)? First Peter 3:17 says, "It is better, if God should will it so, that you suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong." Yes, God allows us to go through suffering for a very distinct purpose. God has opened our eyes to repentance by good works (Acts 26:20, New International Version). He has shown us how to live each day, letting our lights shine for Him (Matt. 5:16). We're going through the growth process. We are learning every day how to be more like our Father who created us to do good works (Eph. 2:10; 5:10). As we learn, we go through tests and trials. Through these tests and trials, we learn all of God's Ways. The nature that we were all born with needs to die. Our hearts are desperately sick, beyond all understanding (Jer. 17:9). We see that clearly as we go through tests, just as the Apostle Paul did (Rom. 7:18). When we learn to patiently endure suffering, our evil nature will die. God will form Christ's nature in us (Gal. 4:19). Tests and trials will decrease, and when they do come, we will know to be positive and endure, to study the Bible for encouragement and wisdom, and to pray to God and trust in Him to help us through our tests (1 Peter 5:7). We are trained through these tests and this training yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness (Heb. 12:11). Suffering makes us grow. It is not something to grumble about, for it is what actually kills the evil inside our bodies (1 Peter 4:1-2, 12-16; Rom. 16:19-20). This is why true disciples of Jesus Christ persevered in doing good works for God. They were seeking for glory and honor and immortality (Rom. 2:7). How many who profess Jesus as their Savior are doing that today? We must overcome the evil pulls of our flesh by keeping Jesus Christ's works, which He came to show us, and we must endure to the end, keeping these works. By doing so, we will be fit to rule with Jesus Christ and teach the nations of this world the true way to peace-Jesus Christ's Ways (Is. 2:3; Rev. 2:26-27; Matt. 25:14-30). • The Message of Overcoming | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search The Message of Overcoming The word of God often speaks of "overcoming" (Rev. 2:7, 11, 17, 26; 3:5, 12, 21; 5:5; 21:7). It also speaks of "deeds," which is watered down from the original Greek word "works" (Rev. 2:2-3, 5, 19, 23, 26; 3:1-2, 8, 15-16). These works, which a follower of Christ must keep, are Christ's works (Rev. 2:26). They are the same ones Jesus Christ kept in order to overcome the world (John 16:33). When a believer dies, he ceases from glorifying God with good works and his good works follow him to the grave (Matt. 5:16; Rev. 14:13; John 5:28-29). Disciples of Jesus Christ are called blessed when they die keeping the works of the Lord. The fine linen and white robes given to the saints represent the righteous acts (good works) they did for God the Father (Rev. 19:8). They did all their works in Jesus' name while living on earth (Col. 3:17; Rev. 6:11). They didn't do their good works for reasons of being noticed by men (Matt. 6:1). Jesus is purifying for Himself a peculiar people who are zealous for good works and are turning away from evil by doing good for God (Titus 2:14; 1 Peter 3:11; Rom. 12:21). Paul told believers to engage in good works constantly and that this is something they would have to learn how to do (Titus 3:8, 14; Is. 26:9-10; 1:16-17). They were admonished to encourage one another to love and good works (Heb. 10:24). They were also told not to get weary in doing good works (Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13). Christ Himself even said some people would do greater works than He did (John 14:12). Why are we to do good works? Doing good works is how we overcome our natures and live the repentant life (Psalm 37:27). Jesus Christ, our true Teacher, says the righteousness we do must eventually come from our hearts or we cannot enter the kingdom (Rom. 10:3; Matt. 5:20; Eph. 6:6). We must strive and force ourselves into the kingdom that is within us (Luke 13:24; 16:16; 17:21, KJV). We must seize it for ourselves by daily disciplining ourselves for the purpose of godliness (Matt. 11:12). This process of overcoming is very easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30). It is not burdensome (1 John 5:3). It involves a life of sharing, of caring and of learning to be a servant of others, and it is called the Way of righteousness (Luke 3:11; James 2:15-16; 1 John 3:17-18; Matt. 25:33-40; 20:26; 21:32). Overcoming is how we bear good fruit on our trees and assure that we won't be burned up (Matt. 3:10). Good fruit is good works (Col. 1:10). We enter the good life by imitating God's Way of life. We depart from evil by doing good so we will abide forever (Psalm 37:27). Simple, isn't it? However, it is simply not known or practiced by many people in the world today. Jesus' disciples practiced that Way (Rom. 2:7). Isn't it time we returned to the true faith that was once delivered to the saints (Jude 3; 1 Tim. 6:3; Titus 1:1)? • A Way of Escape - Place of Safety Scriptures | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search A Way of Escape - Place of Safety Scriptures The Bible is packed full of evidence about receiving protection from what is to come in the last days. It is a reward for those who remain zealous for good deeds and who keep the word of God with perseverance (1 Peter 3:13; Rev. 3:10). It only stands to reason that since Jesus Christ is making a peculiar people who are zealous for good deeds, they would be the ones who are continually praying to be found worthy to escape what is coming and stand before the Son of Man (Titus 2:14; Luke 21:36). It is a little flock, of that you can be sure (Luke 12:32) and few are those who find the truth (Matt. 7:14). Remember, many are called and few are chosen. You must be counted worthy to inherit eternal life (Luke 20:35). If you don’t want to be considered part of the dead, you must be living to please God (Luke 20:38). There is no question that some will be hidden in the day of the Lord’s anger (Zeph. 2:3). God is going to gather us together and hide us because He has redeemed us (Zech. 10:8). It will go well with the righteous (Is. 3:10). We are going to disappear, body and all, just as Philip did (Matt. 24:40-42; Acts 8:39-40). Christ tells us to go into our rooms and hide (Is. 26:20). We are going to be hidden from Satan and protected by Christ (Is. 16:4; Rev. 12:15-17). We are going to sing aloud from Sela (Is. 42:11). We are going to be met by people who will give us bread (Is. 21:14; 33:16). We will all have our mates (Is. 34:16). We will be in caves (Is. 42:22). We are going to enter the rock and hide in the dust (Is. 2:10). We will go to a place called Sela (Is. 16:1). Bible translators thought Sela was a musical interlude (Psalm 83:8—see margin note) but in reality, Sela is another name for rock, and Petra is that rock. It is the place where the children of Israel were taken and hidden when they came out of Egypt, or sin. Consider this. If those who practice righteousness are scarcely saved, what will happen to those who do not obey the gospel (1 John 2:29; 3:7, 10; 1 Peter 4:18)? Scriptures on the Place of Safety Isaiah 16:1, 3-4 — Send the tribute lamb to the ruler of the land, from Sela by way of the wilderness to the mountain of the daughter of Zion. Give us advice, make a decision; cast your shadow like night at high noon; hide the outcasts, do not betray the fugitive. Let the outcasts of Moab stay with you; be a hiding place to them from the destroyer. For the extortioner has come to an end, destruction has ceased, oppressors have completely disappeared from the land. Isaiah 42:11 — Let the wilderness and its cities lift up their voice, the settlements where Kedar inhabits. Let the inhabitants of Sela sing aloud. Let them shout for joy from the tops of the mountains. Isaiah 44:8 — Do not tremble and do not be afraid; have I not long since announced it to you and declared it? And you are My witnesses. Is there any God besides Me, or is there any other Rock? I know of none. Isaiah 3:10 — Say to the righteous that it will go well with them, for they will eat the fruit of their actions. Isaiah 30:27 — Behold, the name of the Lord comes from a remote place; burning is His anger, and dense is His smoke; His lips are filled with indignation, and His tongue is like a consuming fire. Isaiah 26:20 — Come, My people, enter into your rooms, and close your doors behind you; hide for a little while, until indignation runs its course. Isaiah 21:14 — Bring water for the thirsty, oh inhabitants of the land of Tema. Meet the fugitive with bread. Isaiah 42:22 — But this is a people plundered and despoiled; all of them are trapped in caves, or are hidden away in prisons; they have become a prey with none to deliver them, and a spoil, with none to say, “Give them back!” Isaiah 51:1-7, 14 — Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness, who seek the Lord: look to the rock from which you were hewn, and to the quarry from which you were dug. Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah who gave birth to you in pain; when he was one I called him, then I blessed him and multiplied him. Indeed, the Lord will comfort Zion; He will comfort all her waste places. And her wilderness He will make like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and sound of a melody. Pay attention to Me, oh My people; and give ear to Me, oh My nation; for a law will go forth from Me, and I will set My justice for a light of the peoples. My righteousness is near, My salvation has gone forth, and My arms will judge the peoples; the coastlands will wait for Me, and for My arm they will wait expectantly. Lift up your eyes to the sky, then look to the earth beneath; for the sky will vanish like smoke, and the earth will wear out like a garment, and its inhabitants will die in like manner. But My salvation shall be forever, and My righteousness shall not wane. Listen to Me, you who know righteousness, a people in whose heart is My law; do not fear the reproach of man, neither be dismayed at their revilings. The exile will soon be set free, and will not die in the dungeon, nor will his bread be lacking. Isaiah 55:5 — Behold, you will call a nation you do not know, and a nation which knows you not will run to you, because of the Lord your God, even the Holy One of Israel; for He has glorified you. Isaiah 2:10 — Enter the rock and hide in the dust from the terror of the Lord and from the splendor of His majesty. Isaiah 33:16 — He will dwell on the heights; his refuge will be the impregnable rock; his bread will be given him; his water will be sure. Isaiah 34:16 — Seek from the book of the Lord and read; not one of these will be missing; none will lack its mate. For His mouth has commanded, and His Spirit has gathered them (see also Matthew 24:40-42). Isaiah 64:5 — You meet him who rejoices in doing righteousness, who remembers You in Your Ways. Isaiah 58:12 — Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins; you will raise up the age-old foundations; and you will be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of the streets in which to dwell. Psalm 27:5 — For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock. Psalm 32:7 — You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Psalm 94:8, 13 — Pay heed, you senseless among the people; and when will you understand, stupid ones? That You may grant him relief from the days of adversity, until a pit is dug for the wicked. Psalm 34:13-14 — Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit. Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. Psalm 25:20 — Guard my soul and deliver me; do not let me be ashamed, for I take refuge in You. Luke 21:36, 19 — But keep on the alert at all times, praying in order that you may be have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of man. By your endurance you will gain your lives. Revelation 12:1 — And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. Revelation 14:12 — Here is the perseverance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus. Revelation 13:10 — If any one is destined for captivity, to captivity he goes; if any one kills with the sword, with the sword he must be killed. Here is the perseverance and the faith of the saints. 1 Thessalonians 5:9 — For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. Zechariah 13:9 — And I will bring the third part through the fire, refine them as silver is refined, and test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, and I will answer them; I will say, “They are My people,” and they will say, “The Lord is my God.” Romans 2:7-10 — To those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, and eternal life; but to those who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and indignation. There will be tribulation and distress for every soul of man who does evil; but glory and honor and peace to every man who does good… Zephaniah 2:3 — Seek the Lord, all you humble of the earth who have carried out His ordinances; seek righteousness, seek humility. Perhaps you will be hidden in the day of the Lord’s anger. Matthew 24:40-41 — Then there shall be two men in the field; one will be taken, and one will be left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken, and one will be left. Acts 8:39-40 — And when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord snatched Philip away; and the eunuch saw him no more, but went on his way rejoicing. But Philip found himself at Azotus; and as he passed through he kept preaching the gospel to all the cities, until he came to Cæsarea. Zephaniah 3:8 — “Therefore, wait for Me,” declares the Lord, “for the day when I rise up as a witness. Indeed, My decision is to gather nations, to assemble kingdoms, to pour out on them My indignation, all My burning anger; for all the earth will be devoured by the fire of My zeal.” Zechariah 10:8 — I will whistle for them to gather them together, for I have redeemed them; and they will be as numerous as they were before. Hosea 10:12 — Sow with a view to righteousness, reap in accordance with kindness; break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the Lord until He comes to rain righteousness on you. Hosea 12:6 — Therefore, return to your God, observe kindness and justice, and wait for your God continually. • "Because of God's grace, works are not necessary.” | WHOLE WHEAT

"Because of God's grace, works are not necessary.” MISCONCEPTION: Because we are saved by God's grace there is nothing else required for salvation. Many believe we are saved by grace through faith, and not a result of works, that anyone should boast. THE TRUTH IS: This is only half true, and not the complete message. The world quotes Ephesians 2:8-9, omitting verse 10. This omission makes the subject of works incomplete. Ephesians 2:10 states we were created for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Repentance requires a life of good works, as Jesus gave us example of. Also, Titus 3:5-7 is quoted out of context by many to discourage doing good works, when verse 8 specifically states that true ministers of God are to constantly remind those who say they believe in God to be careful to engage in good works. Titus 3:14 and 2:7, 14 are proof that the book of Titus is literally a book that encourages those who follow Jesus Christ to be rich in good works for God. Titus 1:16 mentions those who are traveling the religious broad way that leads to destruction. They remain worthless for good works for God and as a result, continue to live detestable and disobedient lives before God. Jesus was zealous for good deeds for the glory of the Father and this is what He commanded those who would follow Him to do (Matt. 5:16; Titus 2:14). If you don’t or won’t do this, you deny Jesus Christ in your life. Repentance requires a life of doing good for God, if we are to receive the free gift of salvation. Let’s say it like it is. Jesus’ faith had works of righteousness. He glorified the Father in heaven by these works of righteousness that He did daily to please the Father. He instructed those who would follow Him and be His true disciples to do the same (Matt. 5:16). These works are to be done by practicing righteousness or acts of love daily towards others for God (Matt. 6:1; 25:40). This is how to love your neighbor as yourself. When Jesus resurrects all who are in their graves, only those who had good works will come to a resurrection of eternal life (John 5:29; Rom. 2:7). Why then would the world’s ministers discourage many from having any good works? • Interpretation or Revelation? | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Interpretation or Revelation? Many people interpret the Bible differently. As a result, we have thousands of different faiths believing in the same one God. But wait a minute! If the Bible is the truth of God, it can’t be an interpretation. A man once said that no one could know the truth because the truth is just an interpretation; how one interprets a Scripture could be far different from how someone else interprets the same Scripture. Is there any truth to the above statement? Read on and you’ll be shocked! First of all, God’s word, the Bible, says that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but rather men moved (directed) by the Holy Spirit spoke from God (2 Peter 1:20-21). Men who lived hundreds, and in some cases thousands, of years apart spoke the very same prophesies that God inspired them to repeat. Some examples of this are found in Revelation 6:15-17; Isaiah 2:19, 21, and Luke 23:30. Another good example of the same prophesies given to different people who lived in different times is found in Isaiah 2:2-4; Micah 4:1-3; Zechariah 14:4; and Acts 1:10-12. There are literally countless Scriptures in God’s word that prove God’s word is the truth and not merely interpretations of men. What is not known is that God’s word is a mystery that must be revealed to man by God (Gal. 1:11-12). The Apostle Paul who was a Pharisee, and whose father was a Pharisee, did not understand the very Scriptures he had studied all of his life. The Apostle Paul, after studying the Scriptures all his days, did not even know what the Will of God was. That also had to be revealed by God to him (Acts 22:14). People of the world, whom God is not calling to Himself, cannot understand God’s word because it is a veiled book to them. God has allowed Satan to keep their minds blinded, that they might not see the light of the gospel of God (2 Cor. 4:3-4). They are being held captive by Satan to do his will, which is ignore God daily (2 Tim. 2:26). Jesus told His disciples that to them only had the mysteries of God’s kingdom been revealed. He told them their eyes were blessed because many righteous men and ministers desired to know and understand what the apostles knew, but could not (Matt. 13:11, 16-17). Jesus said He was going to tell the world the truth, which has been hidden from the beginning of time, only He would tell the masses in a parable form so they could not understand (Matt. 13:35). He would, however, explain everything He said in parables to His disciples privately. His disciples were those whom He chose to call to Himself (Mark 4:33-34). Parables are dark sayings, riddles (Num. 12:8; Ezek. 17:2; 20:49). Speaking in parables is also called speaking in figurative language (John 16:25). Even the Pharisees could not hear Jesus’ words because they were of their father the devil (John 8:43-44). There were, however, some Pharisees whom God was calling into the truth, and they were becoming obedient to the faith (Acts 6:7). You see, no one can come to Jesus Christ unless the Father calls or draws him (John 6:37, 44; Acts 2:47; 13:48). So you see, the truth must be revealed by God, or else the best a person can do is interpret the word of God. Doctrines and traditions of men, which produced man-made religions, have come through man’s interpretations. These man-made traditions and man-made doctrines make man's worship of God in vain (Mark 7:7-8). If a person were to attend all the seminaries of man for a lifetime, it would be in vain, for he is reading from a book he does not understand. So he must interpret, and those interpretations are lies and half-truths. God’s word must be revealed, and it is revealed only to those who seek God for the truth, and not man. Those are the ones who find that one truth. Jesus Christ praised the Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for hiding the truth from the wise and intelligent and revealing it to those who are infants or teachable (Matt. 11:25). God considers the wisdom of this world foolishness, because that knowledge is earthly, demonic, and will not impart health, happiness, joy, peace, or eternal life (1 Cor. 3:19; James 3:15). We must go to Jesus Christ directly to receive eternal life (John 5:40). We cannot receive eternal life from some man or his teachings. Many feel if they attend a church regularly, listen to a minister and support that church, and attend its functions, they will be saved. Nothing could be further from the truth (Psalm 146:3; 118:8-9). Trust God exclusively and check up on man continually by studying God’s word on your own (2 Tim. 2:15; 3:16-17; Acts 17:11). One of the biggest lies that has been told in this world, is that a person cannot rightly understand the word of God unless he or she has a good understanding of the Greek and Hebrew languages. What does God’s word say about that? God is calling very few who are wise or noble, but is calling the fools, the weak, the base people and the despised of the world. He is calling those who are nobody to be somebody (1 Cor. 1:26-28; Eph. 4:28; Matt. 21:32). God is calling children (who are mostly the uneducated of the world), and revealing His message of His Way of life to them, whereas He is withholding the understanding from the wise and from many who know the Greek and the Hebrew (Matt. 11:25; 13:17; 18:3; 1 Cor. 1:19-20; Luke 10:21-22). This is not to say that God would not call some of these people, if they sought God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength. I am not ashamed to proclaim that God’s words, as well as His parables, have been revealed to me, and I have been taught personally by the Lord Himself for a period of three years, like Paul was (Gal. 1:11-12, 18). Therefore, I teach the truth from God’s word, through God’s revelation—not by man’s interpretation. God has given me the pen of a ready writer and has caused me to write hundreds of Bible researched studies over the years, to help others who would want to know their Bibles well and as quickly as possible (Psalm 45:1). These writings have proven to transform lives, showing that they are not my writings, but rather information I have received through inspiration and revelation from the Lord. I believe the Lord has done this because the days are coming soon, when wickedness will be so great that no man can safely preach the truth of God’s word anymore. So we must redeem the time and learn God’s word now, as fast as possible. Year after year the Lord has taught me while I lay on my bed and has instructed and inspired me on what I should write. Notice in God’s word that what I am saying is true and not a lie. His word cannot lie and I live only to imitate Him (Heb. 6:18; 1 John 2:21). Job 33:15-16 - In a dream, in a vision of the night, when sound sleep falls on men, while they slumber in their beds; then He opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction. Is. 50:5 - The Lord God has opened my ear, and I have not disobedient; Nor did I turn back. Is. 50:4 - The Lord God has given Me a tongue of disciples, that I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple. Psalm 16:7 - I will bless the Lord, who has counseled me; indeed, my mind instructs me in the night. Is. 49:2 - He has made My mouth like a sharp sword, in the shadow of His hand He has concealed me; He has also made Me a select arrow, He has hidden Me in His quiver. So you see, the truth must be revealed by God, or else the best a person can do is interpret the word of God. The key to having God reveal His teaching to you is you must seek God by doing His Will, which is doing good for God and begin to make all your ways right before Him (John 7:17). This is done by keeping, doing or performing Jesus Christ’s Words in your daily walk with Him (Psalm 37:27; John 8:51; 11:26; Rev. 2:26). • The Secret of Perpetual Motion | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search The Secret of Perpetual Motion The God of heaven and earth promises a glorified body that will never die or cease moving to everyone who believes and lives in Him. If that is not perpetual motion, what is? The only thing you need to do to accomplish this is repent from a life of perpetual evil and live a life of perpetual good, as Jesus Christ, our perfect example, did. Paul, Peter and other apostles were continually admonishing people to practice being good by perpetually practicing those things that are good (Matt. 25:33-40). Paul also told people, including us, that Jesus Christ is purifying for Himself a people who are perpetually zealous for good works (Titus 2:14). Christ is now ascended on high, where He perpetually does good in heaven. A true follower of Jesus Christ perpetually does good on earth as it is perpetually done in heaven because he is following Christ’s perpetual example (Matt. 6:10). Now if you are not learning to be good by perpetually doing good and glorifying God in heaven by doing good works daily, as Christ did, what are you doing with your free time (Matt. 5:16)? Are you still indulging in a little sin? Heaven forbid! If you are, then you are serving two gods, the god of this world - Satan, and the God of heaven - Jesus Christ (Matt. 6:24; 1 John 5:19; John 14:30). We are not to live to the flesh any longer, but only to the Spirit, so we do not carry out the desires of the flesh (Gal. 5:16). We put to death the unclean deeds and habits of the flesh by perpetually living to please God (Rom. 8:13). So, if you want your wheels to perpetually turn, perpetually do good for God and He will perfect you (Rom. 12:1-2; Matt. 5:48). • How to Love Your Neighbor as Yourself | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Love Your Neighbor as Yourself Self-preservation is in each of us from birth. “If anyone is going to die, let it be the other guy,” carnal nature says. But the Bible says perfect love does no evil to its neighbor (1 Cor. 13:4-7; Rom. 15:2). God wants us to love each other and be outgoing toward one another to such an extent that we would lay down our lives for another person, Jesus being our example (John 10:15; 15:13; 1 John 3:16). This means we have a way to go, especially when human nature is constantly looking for a reason to dislike the other person. Practicing love toward our neighbor requires that we aren’t giving in to our evil natures (Gal. 5:13). Instead, practicing love means following the example of the three monkeys who see no evil, hear no evil and say no evil to their neighbor (1 Thess 5:15). This, indeed, pleases God and is how He begins to crush our satanic nature (Rom. 16:20). Loving our neighbor as ourself is putting the other person’s welfare, comfort and well-being ahead of our own (Phil. 2:3-4; Matt. 19:19). For example, if we are to be servants of the most, we must get used to eating last, after the guests are fed, like true maids and butlers of God (Matt. 19:30; 20:16). Maybe we won’t be the best, but that does not excuse us from trying our best. Remember, God looks on the heart (1 Sam. 16:7; Prov. 17:10). That is why the widow who gave a penny was serving more than the rich who gave of their abundance (Luke 21:3-4). The rich are being called to be rich in good works so they can keep their minds off their money and the love of it, and more on God by serving others (1 Tim. 6:10, 17-19). The beginning of wisdom is the fear of God, and those who do His commandments have a good understanding (Psalm 111:10). Fear is respect, adoration, obedience and being in subjection to someone (Prov. 15:33; 16:6). When a disciple of Jesus Christ begins to obey God by glorifying Him daily through good works, showing that his faith has works, he naturally does it from fear of being punished (1 Peter 1:17; 2 Cor. 7:1). The same is true of our attitude toward our earthly fathers if we do not do what they tell us to do (Heb. 12:10-11). Eventually, that attitude of fear changes to one of respect, adoration and love, when we are at last in loving subjection to God, our heavenly Father. This perfect love for God comes by way of serving others and putting them first before self, and by continually pleasing God every day (Phil. 2:3-5). Then there is no more fear of anything, not even death itself. Faith has indeed been perfected by works of love for God’s glory (James 2:22; 1 John 4:18). Remember, this truth, for the most part, is not known in the world. The proof is in the observation of the fruits (works) of those who call themselves followers of Jesus Christ today (Col. 1:10; Matt. 7:16-18, 20; Titus 1:16). We are alone, but we have each other; and we know we are God’s friends because we keep His commandments (John 15:14). • Am I My Brother's Keeper? | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Am I My Brother's Keeper? Cain asked, "Am I my brother’s keeper?" (Gen. 4:9). Was Jesus Christ His brother’s keeper? Did Jesus take care of His brothers who were in need of clothes, food or shelter? Did He come to the aid of widows in distress? Was He a father to the orphan? Did He give to the poor (John 13:29)? Yes! Jesus was His brother’s keeper. We, too, are to be our brother’s keeper by imitating Jesus Christ in our daily behavior (1 Cor. 11:1; Eph. 5:1). We are to practice being kind to one another. We are to practice hospitality to one another (1 Peter 4:9). We are to practice godliness toward one another. We are to conform ourselves to godliness by practicing the deeds of Jesus Christ (1 Tim. 4:7). We are to overcome and put to death our old self by zealously living as Jesus did until He makes us new creatures, complete in Christ (Rev. 2:26; Col. 1:28). We allow Him to do this by striving, persevering and being zealous for doing good deeds in His name because we love Him (Luke 13:24; 21:19; Rev. 3:10; Col. 3:17; John 14:15; 1 John 5:3). We prove our love for God by serving Him with our whole heart, soul, mind and strength (John 15:8; Luke 10:27; Matt. 22:37). We prove our love for Him by being slaves to righteousness and doing the Will of God from the heart (Rom. 6:13, 18-19; Eph. 6:6). We prove it by the way we live. Yes, we are our brother’s keeper when we serve our neighbors first, before self (1 Cor. 10:24). One of the main messages in the new covenant of Jesus Christ is serving others (Matt. 20:26-28; 23:11; Mark 9:35; 10:43-45; Luke 9:48; Rom. 15:2-3). Dorcas was used as an example for those who would follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ (Acts 9:36). She was her brother’s keeper because she served others daily for Jesus Christ (Acts 9:39). Jesus Christ Himself said that only those who have good works will come to a resurrection of life, so don’t you think it is time we start to imitate Him and be our brother’s keeper (John 5:29)? We need to overcome evil by continually doing good, as Jesus said we should (Psalm 34:14; 37:27; Rom. 2:7; 12:21; 1 Peter 3:10-11; Rev. 2:26). Then, when we, like Jesus, live only to do good, we will be living as we should and we will be our brother’s keeper, for either we become our brother’s keeper or we remain of the evil one, like Cain (1 John 3:12).
