  • The Kingdom of God Within | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search The Kingdom of God Within In Luke 17:21, Jesus mentions a kingdom of God within us. The original Greek text says, “The kingdom of God is within you.” “Within you” is mentioned in the King James Version, New International Version and many other translations of the Bible. “Within you” is also mentioned in the Living Bible. In the much-respected translation by Ferrar Fenton, it plainly says: “The kingdom of God exists within yourself.” There are some translations, such as the Modern Language Bible, that erroneously state, “the kingdom of God is in your midst.” And the Revised Standard Version has it, “in the midst of you.” Some others state, “among you.” The reason for this corruption of Scripture will become abundantly clear in this article. First, let’s see if we can prove by some other statement of Jesus Christ that there is a kingdom of heaven within that must be entered. In Matthew 23:13, Jesus scolded the scribes and Pharisees for not entering the kingdom of heaven within and not allowing others to enter. The Pharisees had taken away the key of knowledge of how to enter the kingdom of God within—by doing acts of righteousness daily for God. Not only did they fail to enter themselves but they were being stumbling blocks to those who were trying to seek God (Luke 11:52). Jesus then gave the keys of the kingdom of God to Peter (Matt. 16:18-19). He gave Peter the knowledge of how to enter the kingdom of God within—by doing acts of righteousness for God without (towards others). There you have it—the proof has been shown to you that there is a kingdom of God or heaven that is entered within. How then, is it entered? Matthew 5:20 says it is entered by acts of righteousness—doing righteous acts or righteous deeds. The Pharisees were no longer practicing righteousness to enter the kingdom within, but rather, they were practicing righteousness to be seen of men. Jesus sternly warned those who would follow Him to be careful not to fall into that deadly trap when they practiced righteousness (Matt. 6:1). In Matthew 9:13 and 12:7, Jesus told the Pharisees that they were lacking in knowledge. The answer showing what they were lacking is found in Psalm 106:3: How blessed are those who practice charity (honesty and justice) and practice righteousness towards others at all times (Prov. 21:3). To do (practice) righteousness and charity (justice) towards others is desired by the Lord rather than sacrifice. This is how a person becomes obedient to the faith of our Lord. This is the narrow Way that few find (Matt. 7:14). The Pharisees had lost the keys to the kingdom—the knowledge of how to repent daily and enter the kingdom of God within by performing acts of righteousness towards others daily to be obedient to the faith (Acts 6:7). But some of the Pharisees were in error—they were practicing self-righteous works. The very same is true for millions today who profess His name but deny Him daily by continuing to be worthless for any good deeds for God (Titus 1:16). Dorcas, who was a true disciple of Jesus Christ, was abounding with deeds of kindness and charity, which she continually did towards others for the Lord (Acts 9:36). All of Jesus’ true disciples and followers were entering the kingdom within by practicing righteousness from without. They were persevering (continually doing good) because they sought for glory and honor and immortality (Rom. 2:7). This is how you obey the truth (Rom. 2:8-10). How many who profess Jesus Christ today are aware of this (John 3:21)? The truth is something you must practice daily (1 John 3:10). And that truth is simply doing good for God daily by putting Jesus’ words into practice (John 8:51). If you continue to walk in your old way of life, you are not practicing the truth daily and you will die (1 John 1:6; Rom. 8:13). If we live like Jesus gave us example to live by practicing righteousness, not only does Jesus’ blood cover our transgressions, but we will truly be born again (1 John 2:29; 1:7). The followers of Jesus Christ were not ignorant. They knew that only those who did good daily for God were of God (3 John 11). And those who wouldn’t practice righteousness for God daily remained of the devil (1 John 3:10; John 3:21). Now you can clearly understand why people incorrectly translate “the kingdom of God is among you” or “in your midst” instead of “within you.” It is because they knew they had not entered that “kingdom of God within.” It condemned them! Jesus has a new nature waiting for you if you do not grow weary in doing good daily to please Him (2 Thess. 3:13; Gal. 6:9). In due time, we will reap that new nature if we don’t get weary in well-doing (Gal. 6:9). We will then be a new creature or creation (Gal. 6:15). Jesus wants to reveal His new nature in you, but in order to do that you must be tested, and you must suffer a little, while you continue to practice doing what is right in God’s sight (1 Peter 4:12; 5:10; 1 John 3:22). Here you have it, if you have been given eyes to see: 1) The kingdom of heaven is within you. 2) You enter it by disciplining yourself to practice righteousness daily towards others for God. 3) Your righteousness must exceed the righteousness of the Pharisees. Until you do the Will of God, which is righteousness, from your heart, you simply will not enter His kingdom (Eph. 6:6; Matt. 5:20). This is how Christ’s nature is formed in you (Gal. 4:19). This is how you enter the kingdom of heaven within (Matt. 7:21). This is how you overcome your evil nature by keeping Jesus’ works and endure to the end (Rev. 2:26). This is how you put to death the deeds of the body so you will live forever (Rom. 8:12-13). This is how you discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness and thus, force your way into that kingdom within (Luke 16:16; 1 Tim. 4:7; 1 Cor. 9:24-27; Heb. 12:1; 1 Tim. 4:8). God will then reveal His nature in you (Rom. 8:18). He wants you to become a partaker of His divine nature (2 Peter 1:4). You now have the truth and you have been given the keys to the kingdom so you, too, can enter it. Study God’s word daily and the Spirit of Jesus will guide you into all truth, as it is happening and continues to happen to all those who are called of God. It is time that millions of professing Christians who are on the broad way know the truth about the narrow Way that few find (Matt. 7:13-14). You simply must do good daily to be good daily, and learn righteousness by practicing righteousness daily for the Lord (Is. 1:16-17; Titus 3:14; Ezek. 33:31-33; Is. 26:10). • The Mistake of the Pharisees | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search The Mistake of the Pharisees The fatal mistake of the Pharisees was that they were doing righteousness for the wrong reasons. They were doing righteous acts to be seen of men and not to glorify God (Matt. 5:16). Jesus was constantly reminding them of what they were doing wrong but they were living so much to the flesh, they could not hear the words of the Spirit (Matt. 9:13; 12:7; Prov. 21:3). Jesus was telling the Pharisees how to clean the inside of the cup by being true servants to others so they would not be hypocrites (Matt. 23:11, 25). He was telling them how to enter the kingdom of heaven within (Matt. 23:13; Luke 17:21). This is the key to knowledge of how to be truly converted from the inside. In the example of the good Samaritan, Christ was showing the Pharisees that the people they called religious fakes were more compassionate to the needy than they were (Luke 10:30-37). Those who handled the Law of Moses were holding people back, keeping from them the keys to the kingdom (Luke 11:52). The understanding of how to enter the kingdom was then given to Peter (Matt. 16:19). Peter knew what the Pharisees were doing wrong. Many Pharisees did repent and become obedient to the faith (Acts 6:7). Unrepentant sinners do bad works. Repentant sinners do good works for God - works meant for repentance (Acts 26:20). Performing good works for God by imitating Jesus Christ’s works is how you overcome the deeds of the flesh (Rev. 2:26). You live to the Spirit (Rom. 8:13-14). Then you do not carry out the desires of the flesh (Gal. 5:16). Once you put your hand to the plow, which represents doing good works for God, do not look back or get weary of well-doing (Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13). Soon you will be a new creation with Christ formed in you (Gal. 6:15; 4:19). Then you will be complete (2 Cor. 13:9, 11). You will also be a peculiar person, zealous for good works and not worthless, but worth more (Titus 2:14; 1:16). This is the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness and it requires discipline (Titus 1:1; 1 Tim. 4:7). If anyone advocates a different doctrine than this, he is conceited and understands nothing (1 Tim. 6:3-4). Be a sheep and not a goat (Matt. 25:33-46). Allow God to crush Satan (your old nature) under your heel (Rom. 16:20). Soon, as a happy slave of Christ, you will be doing the Will of God from your heart and will escape from the snare of the devil which traps others to do his will (Eph. 6:6; 2 Tim. 2:26). You will not be caught making the same mistake the Pharisees of old made. • "Jesus blood covers our sins unconditionally." | Misconceptions VS. Truth

"Jesus blood covers our sins unconditionally." MISCONCEPTION: Jesus blood covers our sins unconditionally. THE TRUTH: The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all of our sins - past, present and future, but are there any conditions that must be met before the blood applies? Yes, 1 Peter 1:2 says we must obey Jesus Christ first and be sprinkled by the blood. In 1 Peter 2:24 it says, "Jesus Christ bore our sins in His body, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness." How do you live to righteousness? Simply practice righteousness (1 John 2:29; 3:7, 10). How do you practice righteousness? Engage in good deeds (Titus 3:8; Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13). To what degree should you do them? Zealously (1 Peter 3:13; Matt. 5:20)! Why zealously? Because zealously overcoming evil with good, along with daily study of God’s word and prayer, is putting on the full armor of God (Rom. 12:21; Eph. 6:11). Most people who profess Jesus Christ as their Savior are totally unaware of this. • Those Who Do Good | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Those Who Do Good The word of God says the person who does good is of God (3 John 11). Why is this so? God is good (Mark 10:18). Why? Because God does good. Even the word "good" comes from the word "God." What would conditions be like if we had a God who just thought beautiful thoughts about doing good, but never acted on those thoughts? We wouldn't be here. Nothing good would be done. We would have a good-for-nothing God and this is impossible. If you want to be like God and be considered good, you must manifest your good thoughts through good actions. If doing what is evil is bad, is doing what is good, good? If doing what is bad is considered lawlessness, disobedience, unbelief, unfaithfulness, unworthiness and disbelief, would doing good turn all these negative words around? Isn't that a result of positive action? Can you begin to see this is what it means to repent? Can you see that all those who will not repent by turning their actions around and making them good, should, will, and must perish from the earth (Matt 3:10)? Can you see that doing good is all the Lord expects from us for repentance? Can you also see that's all a loving father would expect and want from his loving children? Can you understand that when children do what is right in the sight of their father, they are showing their father love by their actions and they are accepted by him (Acts 10:34-35)? Can you see why God's true message is a message to children? Can you see that unless you become like a little child before your heavenly Father, you won't become converted, and you will not be reconciled to Him and enter the kingdom of heaven (Matt. 18:3-5)? This is why only those who do good are of God (3 John 11). PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME All About the Bible PDF © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • Truly Believing in God | Daily Grains

Truly Believing in God On the surface, it looks as though all you have to say is, “I believe,” and you will be saved. But notice, the apostles taught the people all the things they were commanded to teach and observe. For three years, Christ taught them what they should teach and taught them how to be teachers. The apostles were taught that to believe is to obey. The apostles were also taught how to obey. You must keep Christ’s words in order to never see death, Jesus says. His words are not hard to keep or burdensome. “If you believe in Me, the works that I do you shall do also,” Jesus said. What kind of works did Jesus do? He did good works and He instructed His disciples to do the same. Yes, doing good works is how you glorify the Father. The Bible says that the devil and his demons believe, but they do not obey. They are not doers of the word, but merely hearers who remain deluded. So, to say you believe, is to say you obey and are doing the deeds that Jesus did by serving others daily for the glory of God. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16 Teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Matthew 28:20 A pupil is not above his teacher; but everyone, after he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher. Luke 6:40 He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him. John 3:36 Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he will never see death. John 8:51 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome. 1 John 5:3 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. John 14:12 Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:16 You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder. 22 You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected. • Put No Confidence in the Flesh | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Put No Confidence in the Flesh The Apostle Paul knew that there was no good thing in him (Rom. 7:18-19). Even Jesus knew that no one is good but God alone (Luke 18:19). Jesus was not just saying that to show how humble He was; He meant it! Jesus was mighty in deeds and words in the sight of God. He always did things that were pleasing to God, and He did them in His Father’s name rather than for His own glory (John 21:25; 10:25; 8:29; Luke 24:19; Acts 10:38). Christ was raised from the dead because He lived to glorify the Father with good works (Rom. 6:4; John 5:29). Jesus glorified the Father while He was on earth and He was gentle and humble in heart (Matt. 11:29; John 17:4). Today, God is making the same kind of people - people who are zealous for good works (Titus 2:14). We purify ourselves from every lawless deed and overcome our evil natures by keeping Jesus Christ’s works (Rev. 2:26). Jesus even said we would do greater works than He did (John 14:12). Those who put confidence in the flesh are those who think they are not such bad people. The good they do puffs them up and fortifies the assumption that they are good people. On the other hand, Jesus and Paul both knew that no matter how much good they did while in the flesh, it would not make them good people (Luke 18:19; Rom. 7:15-21). That is why the good they did was to glorify the Father and not self. They lived to glorify the Spirit (which is God), not the flesh. Think about this. Can you think of any other way of overcoming evil other than by doing good? If you did good to glorify self, would that not then be evil? Instead of seeking your own good, the Lord wants you to seek the good of your neighbor, as a happy slave of Christ, doing the Will of God from the heart (1 Cor. 10:24; Col. 3:17; Eph. 6:6). If you empty yourself and take on the form of a servant as Christ did, you will have perfect peace and you will be giving that which is within as charity (Phil. 2:7; Matt. 20:26-28; 23:11; Mark 9:35; 10:43-45; Luke 11:41). Why? Because a servant of Christ knows that if he only serves his Master, his Master will take care of all his needs and will also glorify him with eternal life. • The Resistance Factor | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search The Resistance Factor Jesus Christ couldn’t have been our Savior if He hadn’t resisted Satan’s temptations. Jesus was tempted in all things, but He resisted all temptations. Many people are unaware that godliness comes from resisting evil daily. Our natures put up resistance to everything we attempt to do for God. How many people resist their evil natures and discipline themselves to study God’s word on a regular basis? The central message of the Bible is how to discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness (Titus 1:1). The apostle Paul told Timothy to discipline himself for the purpose of godliness (1 Tim. 4:7). Paul said if any minister does not preach about the doctrine that conforms one to godliness, he is conceited and understands nothing (1 Tim. 6:3-4). The benefits of bodily discipline, such as weight lifting and running, are temporary, but godliness is profitable for all because it holds a promise for this life as well as the life to come (1 Tim. 4:8). You discipline yourself spiritually by resisting evil thoughts, avoiding evil or dirty movies or television, dirty magazines, etc. You resist foul language, swearing, and using God’s name in vain (Psalm 34:13-14; 139:20). When you resist evil, or the devil, he will flee from you. Satan goes around seeking those he can devour by tempting them not to read their Bibles (1 Peter 5:8-9). He tempts you not to pray to God. He can make more excuses for you than you can imagine. Why can’t you do what you know you should do? Humans constantly give in to Satan instead of resisting him for the glory of God! Most Christians are unaware that the resistance inside them is Satan himself—our adversary—our resistor. Many Christians are unaware that the overcoming process is resistance to all evil. It is doing what they know they should do, even though they are tempted not to do it. In the Bible, Satan is compared to a snake. The more you resist him, forcing yourself to do what is right and pleasing to God, the weaker the snake or pull of Satan becomes. Eventually, if you continue to resist evil, and overcome daily by doing good, Jesus Christ will crush Satan’s hold on you (Rom. 12:21; 16:20). The easiest way to force yourself past the point of the resistance of your evil nature, is to set your mind. Are you going all the way, or not? Settle it within yourself. Whatever you set your hand to do, do it with all your might. Any job worth doing is worth doing right. It’s all in making up your mind. Once you make up your mind, you can quit smoking, lose weight, stop swearing and stop lusting. With God on your side supplying the strength, nothing will be impossible to you. So, continue to force yourself to study your Bible every day. Force yourself to continually pray for others. Force yourself to do all the things you know you should do to please God, and you will be victorious. You will overcome if you continue to discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness. Remember to resist. Resist! Resist! You must persist. Persist in doing good! By forcing yourself in this manner, you are entering the kingdom by force (Luke 16:16). • Don't Let Your Marriage Collapse | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Don't Let Your Marriage Collapse “The honeymoon is over,” is an American expression used when there is trouble in the marriage. In years past, there was a thing called courtship. This is when a man would woo a woman with flowers, perfume, candy and other continual acts of kindness. He would show to her by his continual actions that he was kind, generous, outgoing and a lovable type of person. Today, courtship has become living together, fornicating and using one another for self-gratification. Yes, people have turned what was designed by God to be beautiful into a nightmare of continual sin. How far removed we are from what was intended for our own good by a loving Creator. The true definition of love is continual, unselfish, outgoing concern for another (Phil. 2:3). Love is an action word. It is serving one another, doing things for one another, not just on birthdays and anniversaries, but continually. In many cases, if a husband would start buying love gifts and fresh flowers for his wife on a regular basis, she might think he was up to something. When she saw, however, that he meant it because he was consistent and it was coming from his heart, the honeymoon would begin again. Try following the example in the song which says, “I give to you and you give to me, true love, true love.” Yes, we can sing about it in a song, but until we put it into action, there will be no results. Selfishness is sin. The love of money is selfishness. Selfishness is the root of all evil. The deeds of our flesh are repeated over and over in God’s word. They include immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, jealousy, strife, outbursts of anger, disputes, etc. These things all stem from selfishness. Those who continue to practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God (Gal. 5:19-21; Matt. 15:19; Mark 7:21-23; 1 Cor. 6:9-10; Eph. 5:5-6; 2 Tim. 3:1-5). Often the very people who practice these things are churchgoers, “holding to a form of godliness,” yet not living by every word of God - refusing to recognize their sinful ways or repent of them (Matt. 4:4; Jude 15-16; Romans 1:29-32; Mal. 3:5; Rev. 21:8; Rev. 16:9-11; Rev. 9:20-21). Read these Scriptures and recognize these sins in yourself, then begin a life of repentance immediately. Begin a life of loving, giving, sharing and caring. Show compassion, kindness and forgiveness, first to your mate, and then to all others for the rest of your life. This is how you imitate God (Eph. 5:1; 1 Peter 4:1). If wives are to win their disobedient husbands to the Lord by their actions, without a word, how much more should a husband do the same (1 Peter 3:1)! It’s time for us to grow up and repent or we will all perish (Luke 13:3, 5). Jesus always means what He says (Ezek. 7:9; Jer. 4:22; 8:6; 9:9; 16:12; 17:9-10; Jer. 25:4-5; 26:13; Mal. 3:6). The Lord wants you to live happily by daily practicing what is right in His sight. When you are not doing what is right, you are troubling your own house and God’s word says you will eventually inherit the wind. That means you’ll lose everything (Prov. 11:29 NIV). True repentance is doing good deeds daily to please the Father in heaven (Acts 26:20; John 8:29). Begin to repent in your marriage by taking the first step. Jesus will be right behind you. The Lord only expects three things from you: Study His word, put it into practice, and pray for others, as well as yourself (Matt. 7:24; Luke 8:21; John 8:51; 12:47-50; 1 Thess. 5:17; Eph. 6:18; Luke 18:1; 11:5-10). Is that too much to ask when He gives you His salvation? PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME All About the Bible PDF © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • How to Obey Jesus Christ | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Obey Jesus Christ It sounds ridiculous, but millions of professing Christians do not know how to obey Jesus Christ. Many believe that being a good person means going to church and being faithful to your tithes, and that this is how to obey Christ. Is this true, or is obedience to Christ something entirely different? First Peter 1:2 says that we must obey Jesus Christ to have our sins forgiven and be sprinkled with His blood. So, we see that obedience precedes forgiveness. How, then, do you obey Christ? You obey Christ by keeping His words (John 8:51). You live the life that He came to show you how to live. If you say you believe in Jesus Christ, then you must obey Him and do what He says (Luke 6:46; Matt. 7:24). The very definition of believe means “obey.” The word of God says that Jesus overcame evil (Rev. 3:21). We do this now by keeping Christ’s works by living to please Him in all respects (Rev. 2:26; Col. 1:10). Obeying Christ, then, is doing what is right daily in His sight and being pleasing to Him in everything we do. Jesus explained to His disciples everything that was pleasing to the Father in heaven. That is why we are to keep Jesus’ words and sayings. They represent how God the Father lives in heaven. God’s Ways represent God’s works, and these are the works that Jesus did when He was on this earth. This is how Jesus overcame the world (John 16:33). Remember, Jesus was tempted by Satan, but He overcame worldliness by keeping the Father’s works or Ways. The Father’s works are all righteous, says God’s word in Psalm 145:17. We are to overcome evil also, like Jesus did, by keeping His works and endure keeping them so we can reign with Him when He returns (Rev. 2:26; John 14:12). Jesus’ works, then, are what we are to do daily to please the Father in heaven. This is how the Father in heaven is glorified. This is how the Father in heaven is worshiped, which is the definition of “glorify” in Matthew 5:16. This is our new spiritual service of worship—using our bodies as instruments of righteousness to God (Rom. 12:1; 6:13). This is how to do God’s Will on earth as it is being done in heaven by God (Matt. 6:10). Being wholly-committed to God, then, is being zealous for good works for God as Jesus was. He is our example of perfect righteousness. No wonder God’s word says: “And who is there to harm you if you prove zealous for what is good [for doing good]?” (1 Peter 3:13). Jesus was zealous for good works and so were His apostles and all of Jesus’ true disciples, including Dorcas. She was continually doing deeds of kindness and charity (Acts 9:36). This is what it means to be a true disciple of Jesus Christ. This is what it means to live the life of Christ in our bodies each day as we walk His holy, precious, righteous Way. All of this is done when we practice righteousness towards others continually. Jesus warned His followers to only live to do good with the right attitude by practicing righteousness. He told them not to do good to be noticed by others, but rather, to do good in secret to be noticed by God (Matt. 6:1; Eph. 6:6-7). So, obedience to the Lord is putting His words and His sayings into action in our daily life. This is how we worship God in heaven today. This is how we become a doer of God’s word (James 1:22). We do the practicing; God does the perfecting and causes the spiritual growth in us (1 Cor. 3:7). We are then taught by God to love one another from the heart—as He commanded us to do from the beginning (1 Thess. 4:9). This is the truth: •that will set you free from your old nature and your old ways that are not pleasing to God; •on how to live a spiritual life before God each day; •on how to keep God’s Ways; •on how to do God’s Will on earth as it is being done in heaven by God daily; •on how to obey Jesus Christ; The truth must be practiced if one is to understand God’s word (John 3:21)! Obeying Jesus Christ is the truth! PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME All About the Bible PDF © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • How Can Teenagers Serve God? | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search How Can Teenagers Serve God? Teenagers, your parents want the best for you. All your life they have nursed you when you were sick and worried over you when you were bad. Now, you are about to become an adult. When you are an adult, you will be responsible for your own actions and behavior. Indecision will be one of your enemies. Anxiety, irresponsibility, indifference and selfishness will be other enemies. But look, this is nothing more than human nature at work in your members. The good news is that Jesus Christ came to destroy the old nature in us when we put on the new nature in Christ. The method is simple. The results are astounding, because Jesus Christ and the Father never start something they don’t finish. We could all be successful if we would just get out of our own way. Yes, we are our own worst enemy—our human nature, the fleshly nature. Read what God says our nature is in Ephesians 2:1-3; 5:5; 2 Timothy 2:26; Galatians 5:19-21 and Matthew 15:19. How do you receive a new nature? Live to please God daily, as Jesus Christ our example lived (Luke 9:23; Matt. 10:38; 1 John 2:6). Do God’s Will, which is doing righteous deeds towards others (Matt. 5:16; 12:50; Luke 8:21; 11:28; 1 Peter 2:12). These are the same works that Jesus Christ said we would do more of than He did, for He was to be crucified at the age of 33 (John 14:12; Rev. 2:26). Practice righteousness for God until He makes it come from your heart (1 Peter 4:12-13). As you practice righteousness, God will perfect you through mild testing or suffering (1 Peter 5:10). Normally you suffer for doing wrong, but when you suffer for doing what is right, you can receive His new nature and enter the kingdom that is within you (1 Peter 4:1; Rom. 6:11; Gal. 4:19; Luke 17:21 King James Version). You must force yourself into it and seize it for yourself (Luke 16:16; Matt. 11:12). Soon your righteousness will exceed that of the scribes and the Pharisees and you will be a happy slave to Christ (Matt. 5:20). You will be doing all your righteous works—which is God’s Will—from your heart (Eph. 6:6). Don’t delay! Be happy today (Matt. 25:33-40). • Satan’s Number One Weapon | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Satan’s Number One Weapon ‘Feeling Sorry For Yourself’ People who feel sorry for themselves indulge in the flesh and its corrupt desires (Rom. 8:13). The symptoms of feeling sorry for self include grumbling, complaining and finding fault with others (Jude 14-24; 1 Cor. 5:7; Gal. 5:16, 19-21). Consider the force that motivate those who practice the deeds of the flesh mentioned in Galatians 5:19-21. One thing they all have in common is the fact that they feel sorry for themselves. Before a man robs a bank, he must first think of the idea. Then he must dwell on it (James 1:14-15). He must then justify his actions by feeling sorry for himself; then the act is committed. These people have been overcome by Satan’s number one weapon—self pity. Now take a moment and reflect upon your sins of the past and how feeling sorry for yourself was an integral part of each sin. If you are honest with yourself, you must admit that when you feel sorry for yourself, you open yourself up to Satan. When you allow Satan to make you feel sorry for yourself, he will tempt you to continually justify what you want that you shouldn’t have, until the evil deed is accomplished. The Apostle Paul said that he had learned the secret of being content in whatever state he found himself (Phil. 4:11). That’s quite a secret and this article explains that secret in detail. How can we put to death and destroy Satan’s number one weapon? The first thing we must do is become aware of the different ways we can feel sorry for ourselves. Don’t allow yourself to feel sorry for yourself in any area of your life because that is not accepting the day God has for you to help you overcome. It is not positive, not good, not wholesome, not uplifting, not creative and it is non-productive thinking (Phil. 4:8). Self pity turns people off on your personality. It is the source of sick self-love. We need to train and discipline ourselves according to righteousness, according to the right things we should be doing for God. We need to train ourselves to be content, train ourselves to be happy, train ourselves to study God’s word on a daily basis and train ourselves to pray for others as well as our own needs (1 Tim. 4:7; Eccl. 3:22; 2 Tim 2:15; James 5:16). When we trust in God in all things, then feeling sorry for ourselves is no longer part of our character. It has been replaced by total faith. God’s word admonishes us to be content with our wages (Luke 3:14). Godliness is a means of great gain, if and when it is accompanied by contentment (1 Tim. 6:6). If you have enough to eat and clothes to wear, you should be content (1 Tim. 6:8). Let your life be free from the love of money and be content with what you have. You have God as your friend, your protector, your provider. You have eternal life dwelling in you. Can you see how much faith our brothers and sisters had in the past? Even upon martyrdom, many said with bold confidence, “The Lord is my helper, I shall not fear what man shall do to me” (Heb. 13: 5-6). Let us put to death Satan’s number one weapon. We must destroy it by practicing contentment in the areas of our life that are not now content. We need to continually be on guard that our hearts are not weighted down with the worries of this life. We need to become godly examples to others who are running the race and fighting the good fight. We are either God’s example or we become stumbling blocks to others. We must bring all facets of our lives into the captivity of what Jesus Christ said we should do. He has given us His Spirit so that we have the desire to do what we should, and we have His personal power to help us do it. He has given us the same power that created this world. Nothing shall be impossible to us. So, let us continue to fight the good fight of faith and not gripe or complain, bellyache or feel sorry for ourselves any longer. The time is short. Redeem this time for the days are very evil. PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME All About the Bible PDF © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • How Can We Be Rich Toward God? | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search How Can We Be Rich Toward God? The example given by Jesus Christ in Luke 12:16-21 is in the form of a parable, which is a mystery, a riddle or a dark saying (Matt. 13:34; John 16:25; Ezek. 17:2; Num. 12:8). The meaning of a parable is hidden from the wise and the intelligent, and understanding of its meaning must be granted by Jesus Christ (Matt. 11:25; 13:11, 13, 16-17). When you are given the ability by Jesus Christ to understand a parable, then the meaning is almost child-like. You can begin to understand why Christ said it is revealed to babes. The man in the parable in Luke should have been rich in good works toward God. Paul told Timothy to warn those who were rich in this world to be rich in good works (1 Tim. 6:17-19). Even the poor and the not-so-wealthy were expected to be zealous in doing good deeds to glorify God (Titus 2:14; Matt. 5:16). It is a most crucial part of the conversion process. You do the practicing so you learn how to be righteous (John 3:21). Often, people write out checks to worthy organizations, but this does not excuse them from physically getting involved with acts of righteousness (James 1:22). Job knew how the Lord wanted to be worshiped and although he was rich, he personally got involved in serving the needy (Job 29:12-17). We are to use our bodies as living and holy sacrifices for God on a daily basis, and this is how God wants to be worshiped (Rom. 12:1-2; 6:13, 18-22). God wants us to learn to be servants of others, as Jesus Christ was (John 21:25; 1 John 2:6). Christ even said some of us would do greater good works than He did, for He had to return to the Father (John 14:12). This man described in Luke was only thinking of himself. He was inward, grasping and greedy. Jesus Christ was giving this example to expose every form of greed (Luke 12:15). A man’s life should not and does not consist of his possessions. A man’s relationship to God is what matters. God is the one we serve, the one we live to please and the one to whom we must answer in the day of judgment (Mal. 3:16-18). We must serve Him alone, on a daily basis (Matt. 4:10; Rom. 6:17-18). We must do the Will of God. What is God’s Will? It is the good works we do from the heart as happy, contented slaves of Jesus Christ (Eph. 6:6; Matt. 5:16, 20; 6:1). Practicing righteousness daily is easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30; 25:33-40). It makes us beautiful people and allows Christ to be formed in us (Acts 9:36; Gal. 3:27; 4:19). So, if we are rich toward God in good works, we will not be harmed (1 Peter 3:13). God will protect us daily because now we are the apple of His eye. PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME All About the Bible PDF © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • Ever Learning But Never Able | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Ever Learning But Never Able Everywhere you go, you see people reading—on buses, in libraries, on park benches—everywhere. They may be reading newspapers, magazines, love stories, adventure stories or fiction books, yet something is tragically wrong. No one, it seems, is searching for God. No one, it seems, is searching for the truth. The very same thing was happening in the days of Noah, which was the cause of the flood. There are people reading and studying at all the learning institutions in the world, yet they are ever learning, ever reading, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth (2 Tim. 3:7). The whole purpose of life is to seek the truth and find out why you were born, and why on earth you walk on this earth. The very purpose of this life is to seek God. God’s word says, “If you seek Him, you will find Him.” For God will let you find Him, and He will reveal to you the truth of why you are here (1 Chron. 28:9; 22:19). Not interested? Neither were the people in the days of Noah interested. Are some of you interested? Good, because God has a wonderful surprise for those who are interested (1 Cor. 2:9). Man was not created to walk or live as he pleases, but to walk or live in all the Ways that the Lord said he should live. Jesus’ words represent those Ways (John 8:51). God has given animals instinct. They live and do as they have been programmed by God to live. So God has given animals instinct, but He has given man His manual—the Bible—on how man should live and rise above the animal state. Before God revealed to man His Ways, He had His Ways tried and tested time and time again (seven times). This was done to make sure they were perfect for man to follow (Psalm 12:6). Man has instinct—basic animal instinct—but he was designed to rise above that animal instinct and be like God (Eccl. 3:18). This is done by the process of keeping God’s Ways, continually doing good towards others and thus, learning to control those animal instincts and be like God (Eph. 5:1). This is what it means to truly be civilized. God even promised man that if he would live the Way he was created to live, then no good thing would the Lord withhold from him. God’s word is full of examples of all the blessings that will be showered upon those who choose to live uprightly or righteously in his lifetime (Psalm 84:11). Of course, with these blessings comes the gift of eternal life, if you continue and endure living God’s peaceful, productive, life-changing Way of life (Matt. 10:22; 24:13; 2 Tim. 2:12; Rev. 2:26). God’s word explains to man how to treat others in a civilized way. It teaches us how to treat our neighbors (all others) with love, as we would want them to treat us. God wants to know who will and who won’t live decently in this world (Mal. 3:18). He wants to know who cares and those who could care less about living by His Ways. He wants to know who would do good towards others, if they knew to do good, and who would not do good for others even though they knew that’s what they should do to please God (Matt. 25:33-46). The wicked in the Bible are called dogs, goats, chaff, bad fish and stumbling blocks. They must be sorted out from the righteous and destroyed by the Lord before He sets up His kingdom of righteousness on this earth. In the days of Noah, God simply spared righteous Noah and his family by having him build an ark, and then He destroyed the rest of mankind with water. This time He will let mankind destroy itself with wars, famine and disease. A time is coming very shortly that will be so bad, that if Jesus Christ did not return, there would be no humans left alive (Matt. 24:22). At that time, all those who have been found worthy (those who live to please God daily by learning to be servants to others by keeping God’s Ways) will be rescued (Dan. 12:1; Luke 21:36 King James Version). God says the knowledge of this world is foolish, evil and demonic (James 3:15; 1 Cor. 3:19; 2 Chron. 15:2; Is. 9:17; 44:25). It is certainly not knowledge from above. Most men have rejected God—they have rejected His word which is from above. God warns all to be saved from this perverse generation by living blameless and innocent lives before Him (Acts 2:40). He wants you to be a light or good example in the world before others by being honest, kind and loyal towards others. He wants you to be a part of the solution to the evil in the world and not continue to be a part of the problem. Now is the time to put away the books of men and start studying the book of God, so your Creator can teach you, bless you, change you and make you acceptable and worthy for eternal life (Luke 20:35 New American Standard Version). • What Does Complete Mean? | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search What Does Complete Mean? What does the Apostle Paul mean when He tells us to be "complete" (2 Cor. 10:6; 13:9, 11)? A person who is complete has perfect love coming from a pure heart and a good conscience (1 Tim. 1:5, 19). He is constantly showing God’s love to others by his actions (1 John 4:20-21; 3:10, 17-18; Col. 3:17). An incomplete person lives in fear of doing wrong. He is constantly at odds with his nature (Rom. 7:15-16). He wants to do one thing, but God’s word says to do something else. A person who is not yet complete is in the process of realizing, like Paul, that nothing good dwells in him and that he must be set free from his evil nature (Rom. 7:18-19). As long as you are fighting the good fight, overcoming evil by doing good, and practicing righteousness in your daily life to please God, you are abiding in Jesus Christ (John 15:4, 8; Rom. 8:1; 1 John 4:15-16). You are not walking according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit (Rom. 8:4). Your body is alive to righteousness because you are daily putting to death the deeds of the body and living to the Spirit by practicing righteousness (Rom. 8:10, 13). Yes, there will be some suffering involved in this process, but it is only a little (Rom. 8:17-18; 1 Peter 5:10). When you are complete, you will walk in perfect love with no fear inside (1 John 4:18). God will have perfected your faith as a result of your works (James 2:22). Your life will radiate peace (1 Peter 3:11). Your mind will be at peace (Is. 26:3). Others will see the new nature – Christ’s nature - that has been formed in you, and you will be ready to tell others how it happened (2 Tim. 2:15; 1 Peter 3:15). Your lips will reveal what is in your heart (Luke 6:45; Psalm 49:3). Because you now have this new nature, you will not hinder others. Instead, you will use this life-saving key of knowledge you have to help others to enter the kingdom of heaven (Luke 11:52). You understand how to force your way into the kingdom that is within you (Luke 16:16; 17:21). You are disciplining yourself for the purpose of godliness (1 Tim. 4:7). You know this is the narrow Way that few find because it requires daily discipline on the part of those who are trying to enter it (Matt. 7:14; Luke 13:24; 1 Tim. 4:7). This Way is not hard, but easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30). Anyone can live this Way (1 Cor. 1:26-28). Now that you know what it means to be made complete, isn’t it time to obey the Lord so that He can make you complete (Luke 6:46; 2 Cor. 13:9, 11)? Wholeheartedly strive to please the Lord and make all your ways pleasing to Him. Persevere in keeping God’s word by serving others to please Him. Remember always that only those who have an honest and good heart are being considered for eternal life (Luke 8:15; John 8:51; 10:26; Rev. 3:10). • The Positive Gospel | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search The Positive Gospel The word of God contains instructions concerning things true disciples of Jesus Christ are to do. If we do these things, God promises to pour out blessings on us until they overflow (Mal. 3:10). What are some of the things we are instructed to do? We are commanded by Jesus Christ and God the Father to: 1) Consider our old self dead (Rom. 6:4,11). 2) Cast all our anxieties on Christ. That means our cares, worries, doubts and troubles (1 Peter 5:7-9; Matt 11:28-29). 3) Seek peace and pursue it constantly (1 Peter 3:11). 4) Think on things that are beautiful and lovely (Phil. 4:8). 5) Keep our eyes from seeing violence (Psalm 11:5). 6) Say only what is uplifting, building up one another and never tearing down (1 Peter 4:11). 7) No longer use our mouths for both good and evil, but only for good, as we strive to do only God's Will in our daily lives (Psalm 34:13-14; Col. 3:17; Luke 13:24). 8) Commit our jobs to the Lord and work for our employers as if we were working for the Lord (Eph. 6:5-9). We are to do this even more so if our employers are mean or rude, as it pleases the Lord when we suffer for the sake of righteousness. We have been called for such suffering because it builds godly character (1 Peter 2:18-19; 3:16). 9) Think God's thoughts and stop thinking our own thoughts (Is. 55:8; Prov. 12:5). 10) Speak God's words, not our own words (1 Peter 4:11). 11) Live only to the Spirit and thus put to death the deeds of the flesh. We are not to live our lives for self any longer (Rom. 15:3). Instead, we are to imitate God's Way of life in our mortal bodies (Eph. 5:1). This is to prepare us for the glorified body we are destined to receive at the coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (Rom. 8:13; Gal. 5:16, 19-25; 6:7-9). Jesus Christ came here to show those who would repent how to turn from their wicked ways so that He could bless them (Acts 3:26). All it involves is practicing to be a servant of others daily, until we come out of a life of selfishness and inwardness. This is the positive gospel that Jesus Christ came to show us (Matt. 20:26-28; 23:11; Mark 9:35; 10:43-45; Rom. 15:2-3; 1 Cor. 10:24). If we live by these principles, our lives will be positively blessed, joyful and complete! • Worry | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Worry When we worry, we are out of the Will of God because we lose the peace God admonishes us to seek and pursue (1 Peter 3:11). Since we must pursue peace continually, then it must be fleeting. The pursuit of peace is a discipline we must learn by continually putting our concerns into God’s hands, and having faith that He will prevail in all matters of justice (1 Peter 5:7; Psalm 37:5). Our Creator is the God of justice (Psalm 89:14). He has said He will fight our battles for us if we are living His Way of life by serving others (2 Chron. 32:8; Prov. 3:5-6). If God is for us when we put others first, then who can prevail against us (Rom. 8:31; 1 Peter 3:13)? Worry impairs our health, our well-being and our daily outlook on life (Prov. 3:7-8). Worry zaps the pleasure out of life and makes living a burden (Prov. 15:13). Worry is a tool Satan uses to destroy our peace, which eventually will destroy our faith in God (Matt. 14:31). Worry accomplishes nothing, but faith accomplishes everything (Matt. 17:20). Satan is allowed to tempt us to worry so that when we resist worry, our faith in God is strengthened. When we let go of worry, we let God rightfully have those concerns of ours. He is our protector and will lead us out of our troubles (Job 5:19). An angel of the Lord encamps around us to protect us (Psalm 34:7). Worry is an enemy of faith. Therefore, worry is an enemy of all righteousness (1 John 4:18). One of Satan’s titles is the “enemy of all righteousness” (Acts 13:10). When we worry, we become a “worrywart.” When we have faith, we become faithful, and we are practicing the Will of the Father. Then we remain faithful to God’s Ways, which are easy, pleasant and light (Matt. 11:30; 1 John 5:3). Worry is the source of many evils and burdens, while faith puts worry to death. Worry makes our hearts heavy-laden. Jesus Christ says, “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-burdened and I will give you rest. Live My Way of life and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls” (Matt. 11:28-29). When we have worries, Jesus Christ wants us to come to Him with them. We have no need to be troubled (1 Peter 3:14). We are to cast all of our anxieties, troubles, cares and worries on Jesus Christ and let Him solve our problems. Jesus Christ truly cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Do you believe that? He wants you to continually make peace, keep the peace, and to never lose your peace. As you live to please God every day by serving others, your worries disappear, and you can truly lead the blessed life (Matt. 5:16; Luke 6:38)! • The Purpose of Life - to find God | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search The Purpose of Life - to find God Many people are searching for the purpose of life. They are looking for the reason they were born, as well as trying to decide where they are going when they die. Many people are racing to and fro saying they must “find themselves.” Think about that for a moment. What are they really saying? They’re mixed up. They don’t know what they want. They say one thing and do another. They don’t feel good about themselves. They feel sorry for themselves. They’re selfish and want things only for themselves, even at the cost of hurting others. They want wealth, and if they get it, they still want more (Prov. 28:20, 22; 23:4; Haggai 1:6). Wake up, everyone! Isn’t it time to wake up? The purpose of life is to find God. God says that if you will seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might, you will find Him (Deut. 4:29). But if you don’t, you won’t. You seek God by beginning to live your life to please Him each day instead of ignoring Him each day (Acts 10:35). If you do ignore Him daily, He will ignore you daily, but if you live to please Him daily, He lives to please you daily. Sure sounds right, doesn’t it? That’s because it is right (1 John 3:22)! Please look up Romans 3:10-12, Psalm 14:1-3 and 53:1-3. Then, underline these phrases: “There is none righteous,” “There is none who understands,” and “There is none who seeks for God.” Next, underline: “There is none who does good [for God], not even one.” Why do you suppose Jesus Christ said we are to glorify the Father daily by doing good works, thus letting our lights shine (Matt. 5:16; 25:33-40)? He said this because that’s how you seek God, find Him and obey Him. It’s how you keep Jesus Christ’s words (John 8:51). But you cannot get weary and give up (Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13). Rejoice! You have found the purpose of life…but only if you do it, and put Jesus Christ’s words into daily action in your life! wholewheatonline.com Search Charity Defined Now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. For charity shall cover a multitude of sins. —1 Corinthians 13:13 (King James Version). Jesus Christ was continually going about telling others about the true message of salvation. Many times, however, He would tell the message of the kingdom of God in parable form because He did not want people to know the message (Matt. 13:11, 14-17, 35; Mark 4:33-34). One such parable is found in Luke 11:41. Jesus told the Pharisees the true gospel in parable form. A parable is a riddle, a dark saying (Ezek. 17:2; Psalm 78:2) or a figurative language (John 16:25). Jesus said in Luke 11:41, “Give that which is within to charity, and then all things are clean for you.” Let’s say it in plain language instead of in a mystery form or a figurative language. “Make yourself a new heart, one that is charitable, and I will forgive all your sins. Continually do good to please Me and I will make you clean by forgiving your sins.” Remember, the Pharisees did their righteousness out in the open to be seen of men, so they would be thought of as righteous. Jesus said you must do your righteousness in secret from within, and glorify your Father in heaven by your good works. Charity covers a multitude of sins and makes you clean (1 Peter 4:8). Charity is serving the poor, the needy, the lame, the blind, the elderly, the widow and the orphan. Charity is helping those who need clothes, those who need money, those who need help, those who need love or compassion. All these things and more are covered by the word charity. What does Webster’s Dictionary have to say about charity? Webster’s New International Dictionary, 1909 says: Charity, n.;1. Christian love; of the New Testament; a. the divine love to man; b. Human love to God and one’s neighbor. Christian love of one’s fellow men; Christian benevolence; 2. More generally, love; benevolence; good will; affection; an act or feeling of affection or benevolence. 3. Liberality or lenience in judging of men and their actions; a disposition that inclines men to put the best construction on the words and actions of others. The highest exercise of charity is charity toward the uncharitable. 4. Good will to the poor and suffering; liberality to the poor, to benevolent institutions, or to worthy causes; generosity; charitableness; alms giving; hence; the public provision for the care or relief of the poor. 5. Acts or works of benevolence to the poor. 6. Whatever is bestowed gratuitously on the needy or the suffering for their relief; alms. After reading these definitions of the word charity, look up 1 Corinthians 13. In the many translations of the Bible, “love” has been corruptly substituted for the word “charity.” If you look up the Greek word translated “love” (Strong’s Concordance reference no. 26) in The Englishman’s Greek Concordance of the New Testament, you will discover it is often translated “charity” in the King James Version. A few examples are 1 Corinthians 13:1-13, Colossians 3:14, 2 Timothy 3:10 and Titus 2:2. It’s evident when you look at the dictionary definitions of charity that charity is all God ever expected from anyone who would profess His name. God would live a life full of charity if He were walking among us in the flesh today. This is how we are to live on earth and imitate Him as He lives in heaven (Eph. 5:1). This is how God’s Will is done on this earth as it is in heaven (Matt 6:10). Very simple, but simply not known, not preached, or not practiced by the majority of those who proclaim to be disciples of Jesus Christ (Luke 6:46). • How to Glorify God | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Glorify God God is glorified every time we do things that are pleasing in His sight (Matt. 5:16; 1 John 3:22). God blesses us when we do things like helping the needy, the shut-ins, the old people, the sick, the lonely, the hungry or those who are in need of clothes (Psalm 41:1-3; Luke 3:10-11; James 2:15). He also includes the widows and the orphans, as well as those who are in prison on His list of people we can help (Matt. 25:33-40). Helping others on a one-to-one basis for God’s glory is true discipleship (1 John 3:17)! Oh, how the world needs more true believers! Yes, it needs more sheep and fewer goats (Matt. 25:33-40). It needs more doers and fewer hearers (James 1:22). It needs more wheat and less chaff (Matt. 3:12). The “good seeds” are the true disciples God is making, the doers of the word. The “tares” are religiously-deceived Christians Satan is deceiving (Matt. 13:33-40). They are also called “dogs.” Satan is keeping them deceived, thinking they are converted when they are not (Phil. 3:2). They say they know God, but you can tell by their lives that they deny Him. They are still living detestable, disobedient lives because they are worthless for any good works (Titus 1:16)! Christ is making people who are zealous for good works, while Satan is making tares, goats, chaff, and bad fish (Titus 2:14). Satan wants his people to ignore God in heaven by not performing God’s Will, which is righteous acts of love and charity done toward others, on earth. Many people say that works are not necessary for salvation, so they don’t do any (Titus 3:8, 14). But we were created in Jesus Christ for good works (Eph. 2:10). God is glorified by good works (Matt. 5:16). True disciples of Jesus Christ are warned not to get weary in doing good works (Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13). God says we seek glory, honor, immortality and eternal life by doing good works for His glory (Rom. 2:7; John 5:29). Doing good works for the glory of God daily is true repentance! It is how God is able to crush Satan’s nature and form Christ’s new nature inside us (Rom. 16:20; Gal. 4:19). We are being called from a life of bad works to live a life of overcoming evil by doing good works (Rom. 12:21; 1 Peter 3:11; 2:12). Satan hates good works done for God because he knows that is how God is glorified and how his nature is put to death in our mortal bodies (Matt. 5:16). It is only those who glorify God by works of charity and kindness, and thus esteem His name, that God will spare and rescue in the soon-coming day of the Lord (Mal. 3:16-17; Daniel 12:1; Luke 21:36). • Who Are The Sinners? | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Who Are The Sinners? Jesus said, "Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing" (Luke 23:34). Even Stephen forgave those who sinned against him (Acts 7:60). Who are these sinners? Jesus Christ said to the Pharisees, "If you were blind, you would have no sin" (John 9:41). In what way were they blind? They were blind to the true message of salvation through repentance (Matt. 21:32; 2 Peter 2:21). A great many of the priests of the Jewish church were becoming obedient to the faith of that message (Acts 6:7). What faith? They were becoming obedient to Jesus Christ’s faith, the true faith once delivered to the prophets, to Moses and to Abraham (Jude 3). God’s servants, the prophets, preached this message. It is not generally known that there is only one true gospel, one truth, one Way, and Jesus came to reveal that Way by revealing what the Ways of the Father are and what His Will is (Eph. 4:4-6). The Pharisees were not doing the Will of the Father. They were doing good works to glorify themselves, and not the Father (Matt. 5:16, 20; 6:1). They were not being converted and having their natures crushed by God (Rom. 16:20). They were not overcoming evil by doing good works for God (Rom. 12:21; 1 Peter 3:11; Rev. 2:26). They were not fighting the good fight of faith. They were not finishing the course or having a new nature (God’s nature) formed in them (Gal. 4:19). Jesus Christ’s true gospel reveals to us how to get rid of our old nature and have Christ’s nature formed in us. Jesus said His Way is easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30). If He had not come and spoken that true message, people would have had no sin. But after they heard how to overcome, they no longer had any excuse for their sin (John 15:22). Many of the Pharisees knew Jesus Christ came from God as a teacher (John 3:2). Thousands of the Jews believed the message and became zealous, while others became jealous (John 11:45, 48, 50; Acts 17:5; 21:20). The Bible shows that the sinners are those who hear the true message of how to repent by overcoming evil through doing good and do not act upon it (Titus 1:16). God’s word refers to these sinners as goats, tares, bad fruit, bad fish, barren trees, wicked stumbling blocks and tasteless salt (Mal. 3:18; Matt. 3:10; 5:13; 12:33; 13:30, 38, 41-42, 48). Yes, anyone who knows and understands the true message and refuses to live it is a sinner (John 9:41; Matt. 7:24; Luke 6:46-47; James 4:17). • You Can't Do it Without God | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search You Can't Do it Without God Many people think they can face the future without God. It cannot be done (John 15:5). The Lord is coming soon and many plagues will precede His arrival (Matt. 24:21-22). This time will be called Jacob’s distress because it is coming upon all people, especially the descendants of the ancient Israelites (Jer. 30:7; Dan. 12:1). Now is the time to prepare for the Lord’s coming and the day of distress! How should we prepare? God says He will protect all who are wholly devoted to pleasing Him (Is. 3:10; 1 Kings 8:61; Eccl. 8:12). We please God when we live to keep His Ways and do His Will on this earth, just as He does in heaven (Matt. 6:10). We must learn righteousness by becoming concerned about the things that concern and please God. The fruits of the Spirit listed in Galatians 5:22-23 describe God’s personality. These fruits are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Because God’s Ways are not our ways, we must practice the fruits of the Spirit daily toward our friends and neighbors until God has a chance to form Jesus Christ’s nature in us (Is. 55:8-9; Gal. 4:19). Building godly character is easy and pleasant, but it does not happen overnight (Matt. 11:30). It is a process that requires daily discipline and practice (1 Tim. 4:7). We, like Jesus, need to keep busy doing the righteous works of God in our lives (Luke 2:49; John 4:34; 5:30, 36; 14:12; 21:25). We need to live as Jesus lived and keep His deeds by overcoming the evil pulls of our flesh (Rev. 2:26). As we continue to zealously practice this righteous Way of life, we will truly be prepared to meet the Lord at His imminent return (Titus 2:14; 1 Peter 2:9; Luke 1:17; 21:36). Without God, our righteousness is useless (Is. 64:6-7; Rom. 10:2-3). With God, we can have peace and look forward to the future (1 John 2:28; 1 Peter 4:18)! • Avoiding Evil vs. Overcoming Evil | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Avoiding Evil vs. Overcoming Evil Are you trying to be a good person? Are you trying not to drink too much, swear, smoke or overeat? Are you trying to stop thinking filthy thoughts? Is there some other bad habit you are trying to control? Do you ever catch yourself doing something good to cover up something bad you just did? Do you give to this or that fund from time to time so you can say that you are not all bad? Do you have some good days and some bad days, but things are looking down more than they are looking up for you? Well, maybe you are going about it the wrong way. Maybe you are going at it your way instead of God’s Way. The Bible says our natures prevent us from doing the very thing we want to do (Rom. 7:15). For example, when we try to stop smoking, that is when we tend to smoke more. When we try to control our own nature by going on a diet, we might struggle to lose 20 pounds, but then our nature runs amuck and we gain back 28 pounds! You cannot overcome evil by avoiding evil. You might be able to subdue it for a while, but evil will eventually win in most cases. You must overcome evil by doing good for God daily (Rom. 12:21; Psalm 37:27). You must make sure that you are not doing your good to be noticed by others. Instead, you must do all that you do in secret, and in the name of Jesus Christ, for the glory of the Father (Matt. 6:1; Col. 3:17). Then what happens? God begins to allow you to be tested (1 Cor. 3:13; 1 Peter 1:6-7). But you must continue doing good for God. Instead of thinking about the evil you want to do, get busy doing something good for God. Get involved in the process of replacing the bad things in your life with good things, for the purpose of repentance (Acts 26:20). Soon you will begin to notice that in your weakness, God’s strength is made strong (2 Cor. 12:9). You are becoming rich in good works (Titus 2:12; 3:8; 1 Tim. 6:18). The problem falls away as though it never had been a problem. Continue being zealous in doing good for God every day. Continue in the godly process of overcoming your nature until Christ has been formed in you and you are a new creature (Titus 2:14; 1 Peter 2:1-5, 12; 3:10-11; Gal. 4:19; 6:15). You will be made complete and perfect by God the Father, the same as Jesus Christ, our example, was made perfect (Heb. 5:8-9). When you do good works for the Father, you are doing the Father’s works and not your own (John 14:10-12; Rom. 8:12-14; Col. 3:5-13). This is how you do God’s Will. Then you are overcoming evil instead of avoiding evil and soon you will be a new creation of God (Gal. 6:15). • How Stubborn Are We? | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search How Stubborn Are We? In the parable of the sower, the only persons who made the grade when they heard the true message of the kingdom where those whose seed was sown on good ground (Matt. 13:23). The good ground represents those with an honest and good heart (Luke 8:15). There are few people with honest and good hearts and that is why many are called and few chosen. It is also why very few find the narrow Way (Matt. 7:14). You cannot know the message of God unless you live the message by being a daily doer of good. You must put into practice the truth in order to come to the understanding of the light (John 3:21). You must be willing to do God’s Will in order to know the teaching (John 7:17). You must live the message in order to say you believe in Jesus Christ, then and only then will you never die (John 11:26). To believe in the Son is to obey the Son, and to obey the Son, you must keep His sayings and do them and perform them (John 3:36; 8:51; 12:47-48; Luke 6:46). The message of repentance is always the same. Overcome evil by doing good if you expect to abide forever (Psalm 34:13-14; 37:27; Rom. 12:21; 1 Peter 3:10; Dan. 4:27; Is. 1:16-17; Zeph. 2:3). This is just what our evil nature does not want to hear. It wants to be told the message that says do nothing and you will be saved (Titus 1:16). When you hear this message, you are warned not to harden your heart - by not living it right away. The message of serving others and doing good becomes nothing more than a good intention to the many, but those few with honest and good hearts begin immediately so their hearts do not begin to harden. A hardened criminal is one who is given every opportunity to change but doesn’t. His desire is to remain who he is and not be told what to do. What happens to those God has called, who have less than an honest and good heart? Are they doomed to be destroyed in the lake of fire? In Revelation 3:15, the Lord is disturbed by those who do not continue to worship Him with their whole heart by being zealous or hot for good works (Titus 2:14). These people had been greatly blessed by God but then became lukewarm for good works for God’s glory (Matt. 5:16). This spiritual sickness happens to many (Rev. 2:5; 3:1-2). This is also what happened to the ancient Israelites when they had the same good news preached to them (Heb. 4:2). God wishes that none should perish so he helps the disobedient to repent. God disciplines us for our own good (Heb. 12:10-11). In the very near future, He will bring many to repentance by bringing on the plagues of Revelation. He will make the sun seven times brighter or hotter to scorch men in order to force their evil natures to repent (Rev. 16:8-11). He will make hail, about 127 pounds in size, come down to get people’s attention and help them repent. A worldwide earthquake will topple all the tall buildings in all the cities of every nation (Rev. 16:18-19). Even Jerusalem will be split into three parts. However, people will continue to blaspheme God (Rev. 16:21). Everyone on this earth will wonder what’s happening? But those who serve the Lord by serving others and live to please Him in all their ways will understand clearly what’s happening. They will have been given eyes to see by God because they have been obedient to His voice—the Bible (Rev. 17:8-9). They are the ones who have come out of religious confusion, religious Babylon, and worship God with their bodies by the way they live (Rom. 12:1). They are continually helping those in need, which is pure religion, undefiled (James 1:27) The Day of the Lord is not to be taken lightly (Zeph. 1:14-18; Is. 66:15-17). God wants us to return to Him so that He can return to us (Zech. 1:3-4; 7:10-12) Notice, the message of how to repent has never changed. Good works are necessary for repentance (Acts 26:20). This is the one message that caused the people to despise the prophets of old. These prophets were sent by God Himself to instruct the people on how to repent and amend their ways, deeds and actions. You’ll never have trouble telling a boy scout to do good; however many Christians seem to have trouble with it. God has told us all along what is good and what He requires of us, but many refuse to listen (Micah 6:8) The word of God is clear that the majority of those God is calling, in the last days, will suffer greatly to be perfected by Him. All one needs to do is review these few Scriptures: Revelation 6:11; 9:15; 13:7; 14:12-13; 18:24; 20:4; and 2:10. God in His mercy will even save those who are lukewarm by testing them severely, if necessary. What a great and wonderful God we live to serve, one who cares more for us than we do for ourselves (Ezek. 33:31-33)! Hallelujah! • A Loving Father | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search A Loving Father Any father who loves his sons or daughters will teach them how to respect and obey him. He will teach them not to lie or steal or swear. He will teach them how to control their tempers and how to share what they have with others. He will teach them good manners and how to practice moderation in all things. He will teach them to be thankful for what they have and how to take care of those things. A loving father will teach his children to respect the elderly, the lame and the blind, and how to serve them in love and respect whenever possible (Job 29:12-16). He will teach them not to think that they are better than others, but to help others in need (Matt. 25:33-40; Luke 14:13). He will teach them to live a good life by doing good and to live a pure life with a pure heart, always doing God’s Will (Psalm 125:4; 103:21; 106:3; James 2:14-26). Children, if brought up correctly, should live their lives to please their fathers. They will never bring reproach or disrespect on their parents as long as they live (Eph. 6:1-3). Our heavenly Father wants the same respect and honor from us (Mal. 1:6). He wants adults to practice these same godly principles. He wants us to repent from a life of doing wrong and sin, and come into a life of doing right by practicing righteousness (1 John 3:7, 10). This is what is expected of those who repent. This is how to repent! This is the repentant life a true disciple of Jesus Christ lives daily, glorifying God with good works (Matt. 5:16). This is the Way of righteousness that Jesus came to show us (Matt. 21:32; 2 Peter 2:20-22; Acts 18:25-26; 19:9, 23; 22:4). The Bible asks, "Those who teach others not to steal, do you steal?" We cannot teach our children to be decent unless we become decent adults first. We need to clean up our lives first by making up our minds not to practice things that do not please our heavenly Father. Then begin to diligently teach these godly principles to our children (Luke 1:17). God wishes to be worshiped in spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24; Rom. 12:1). He expects us to practice the truth taught in His word in our daily lives (John 8:51; 3:21; James 1:22). In the near future, the Lord is going to punish the inhabitants of this earth with horrible chastisement (Jude 14-16; Is. 24:3-6). Now is the time to prepare so you will be ready to meet the Lord when He comes (Luke 1:17). Remember, without holiness, no one will see the Lord (Heb. 12:14, King James Version). Will you repent by living the rest of your life to please your heavenly Father in Christ’s name (Col. 3:17)? Will you repent by engaging in a life of continually doing good, as Christ gave you example to do (Titus 3:8)? If you do, the blood of Jesus Christ will be applied to you, and your sins - past, present and future - will not be held against you (1 John 1:6-7, 9; 1 Peter 1:2). This is the truth. • If God Told You | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search If God Told You If God told you that horrible times were coming upon all peoples who dwell on the earth, would you warn others? If God told you that times are coming which will be so bad that a person will eat the flesh off his own arm for lack of food, would you warn others (Rev. 6:5-6; Is. 9:20)? If God told you that so many humans would die as a result of the coming plagues that people won’t even bother to bury them because of disease, would you tell others (Jer. 16:4)? Would you warn others that these, and so many other things, are prophesied to happen near the end of man’s rule on this earth (Jer. 19:9; Ezek. 5:10; Micah 3:3; Zech. 11:9)? Would you warn others that they can be protected by God when these times come, and that they will be protected in times of war and fed in times of famine (Psalm 91:7-8; 33:19; 37:19)? All they need to do is begin to make all their ways kind and all their ways charitable towards others for God. Just stop doing wickedness and start practicing righteousness for God daily. It’s as simple as that! When you accept Jesus as your Savior, you accept the Way of life He instructed you to live. God commands us to love others and get along with them, because all others in the world represent our neighbors. When we continually practice deeds of kindness and charity towards others, then God considers us righteous and protects us (Acts 9:36; 1 John 3:7). If we won’t practice righteousness towards others for God daily, we remain sons or daughters of the devil (1 John 3:10). That’s why it says this in Isaiah 3:10: “Say to the righteous that it will go well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their own actions.” The Lord will not allow the righteous to hunger (Prov. 10:3; Psalm 34:17, 15; 37:39). The mystery of God is the one true gospel Jesus Christ preached to His servants the prophets 2,000 years ago, and it is not known by many today except by His true followers. It is the message of the truth which must be practiced daily towards others (John 3:21; Matt. 25:40). It is the Way to walk like God walks and imitate Him (Eph. 5:1). It is the Way to walk in the light, or live like Jesus the Prophet lived, and have our sins forgiven (1 John 1:6-7). Living the spiritual life is the Way to keep Jesus’ commandments, and they are not grievous or burdensome (1 John 2:7; 5:3). It is the spiritual life He came to show us how to live and the Way all true prophets of God lived, called the Way of righteousness (Matt. 21:32; 2 Peter 2:21). The true prophets of old told the sinners of the past to practice that Way of righteousness towards one another, if they were to continually have their sins forgiven by the Lord (Ezek. 33:31-33). It is the revealed gospel, for no amount of worldly knowledge would allow you to know this gospel, unless God gives you eyes to see and ears to hear (Matt. 13:11, 14-17). It is practicing righteousness and practicing charity toward others continually, because this is true repentance to our Maker, which allows Him to forgive our sins (Ezek. 33:16). It is the gospel that continually requires you to do something with your life—to practice holiness and godliness towards others. It is the true gospel that exposes all other false gospels that are being preached today. To the Law and to the testimony! If they speak not according to this word, they are false prophets coming to you with a false gospel (Is. 8:20). “To the Law” is the message of the true prophets of God, whether it be five thousand years ago or today. We keep the Law of God by practicing righteousness and charity, and being just in all our dealings with others. This is the true testimony of how to keep God’s laws and do them (Deut. 5:33; 6:18; 7:11; 8:3; 10:12-13). God’s laws are God’s Ways. Your sins are not forgiven unless you live the life of God in your body daily. You cannot be born again unless you live like Jesus, which is practicing righteousness for God towards others on a daily basis (1 John 2:29 New American Standard Version). You cannot be saved unless you live the repentant life daily—the Way Jesus came to show us by His example and deeds and tell us by His words (John 8:51; 12:47-50). This is how to “pick up your cross” daily (deny self, which is evil) and follow Jesus’ example of serving others daily (Luke 9:23). You are still in your sins if you are living to the flesh (still practicing sin) instead of putting to death the deeds of the flesh with the help of God’s Holy Spirit (Rom. 8:13). Now you know how to repent, how to change, how to live righteously and be blessed by God - practicing righteousness towards others daily. This is how to obey Jesus Christ and have your sins covered by His precious blood (1 Peter 1:2)! Walk in the Spirit (live like Jesus told you to live), and you will not carry out the evil desires of the flesh. Live to please God by being a servant of others for His glory (Gal. 5:16, 13; Matt. 23:11; 5:16; Rom. 12:1). When we do these things daily, we will be protected from the things which are soon to come upon all other people in the world for their time of testing (Rev. 3:10; Zeph. 2:3; Dan. 12:1; Luke 21:36 King James Version; Psalm 91:1-16)!
