  • How to Enter God's Rest | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Enter God's Rest "For the one who has entered Jesus Christ’s rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His. Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall through following the same example of disobedience" (Heb. 4:10-11). Let’s examine the facts stated in these verses. There is a godly rest that we are to enter. We enter it by resting from all our works. We must be diligent to enter that rest. We enter God’s rest when we cease from all our works of lawlessness (1 John 3:4). Works of lawlessness are the things we do when we live to the flesh. We must put these deeds of the flesh to death (Rom. 8:13; Gal. 5:16). How do we do this? By living to the Spirit! Jesus Christ said living to the Spirit, instead of to the flesh, is easy (Matt. 11:30). All we need to do is obey Him by imitating His behavior and the Father’s (1 Cor. 11:1; Eph. 5:1). What did Jesus do? How did He do it? He kept the works of the Father exclusively. The good works He did were done in the Father’s name and in so doing, He glorified the Father (Matt. 5:16; John 10:25). He overcame the world by overcoming His nature (John 16:33). Jesus Christ was made perfect (Heb. 5:9). We also must strive to do the works of God (Luke 13:24). We must persevere and be zealous in doing the works of the Father (Rom. 2:6-7; Luke 21:19). We are commanded not to get weary in doing good works (Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13; 1 Cor. 15:58). In fact, Jesus said many of us would do greater works than He did because He had to go to the Father (John 14:12). You might ask, "What shall we do, that we may work the works of the Father?" That is a legitimate question and it was asked of Christ in John 6:28. The works of the Father make up the Will of God (1 John 2:17; Matt. 7:21). God’s Will consists of any acts of righteousness done for God’s glory (Col. 3:17). You could keep your appearance up for God. Love your mate for God. Teach your children about God’s Ways, showing them that they receive a reward from God for each thing they do in His name (Matt. 6:1; Eph. 6:1-2, 7-8). Respect God’s name. Do not use it in profanity a day longer, because those who do are His enemies (Psalm 139:20). The more you do for God, the more He will do for you (Mark 4:24; Mal. 3:10; Luke 6:38; 2 Cor. 9:6). When all you sow is righteousness, then everything you reap will be a blessing! You will have entered God’s kingdom, which is within your new heart (Luke 17:21). You will have forced your way into the kingdom of heaven by disciplining yourself to do God’s Will (Luke 16:16). You will have overcome your old nature by being zealous for good works – Christ’s works (1 Peter 3:13; Rev. 2:26). You will have rested from all your works because you are only doing God’s works now. You will have entered God’s rest. PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • An Honest and Good Heart | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search An Honest and Good Heart This is the seed that fell on good soil: “The ones who have heard the word in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance” (Luke 8:15). This parable is talking about the many ways a person can receive the true message of the kingdom when heard for the first time. People who have an honest and good heart immediately put the message into action, which means they immediately repent. They hold fast to the message by studying their Bibles in a systematic way so as to prove all the things they are learning about the true kingdom message (James 1:25). They persevere in doing this, which means they are consistent in their study of the Bible. They are consistent with their bearing fruit and, as a result, their personal growth as new disciples of Jesus Christ is excellent. They are excellent examples in the eyes of God from the very first day. Because of this beautiful attitude toward God’s true message, they become effectual doers and are blessed by God in everything they do. Because they seek the kingdom by practicing righteousness for God daily (that makes it God’s righteousness), all things are added to them—clothes, food, good jobs, prosperity and many other wonderful blessings (Matt. 6:33). They are not living for self any longer but now live only to do the Will of God. Their prayers are answered because they do only those things which are pleasing in God’s sight (John 9:31; 1 John 3:22). They consistently discipline themselves for the purpose of godliness and as a result, they are forcing themselves into the kingdom within (1 Tim. 4:7; Luke 16:16; 17:21). Because of their honest and good hearts, they are constantly good examples for God. They know it pleases God to be good examples for Him and to constantly provoke others to do more works of love for His glory (Heb. 10:24; Matt. 5:16). Because of this constant condition of maintaining an honest and a good heart, their righteousness quickly surpasses that of the scribes and the Pharisees and, as happy slaves of Jesus Christ, they do the Will of God from the heart and they enter the kingdom of heaven (Matt. 5:20; Eph. 6:6). We can see that receiving this message with an honest and a good heart and then holding fast to this true message and bearing fruit in every good work with perseverance is the narrow attitude we must have to enter the kingdom of God (Luke 8:15; Col. 1:10). This is the narrow Way that very few find. It is the narrow Way which few who strive to enter, succeed in entering (Luke 13:24). The key to the true message of the kingdom is attitude. Many of the Pharisees and religious leaders of Jesus Christ’s day did not accept the message of the kingdom because they had bad attitudes. The examples given to us in the parable of the sower are all the attitudes fatal to the message, followed by the attitude that will cause one to grow and grow in the message. The last attitude, striving to maintain an honest and good heart before God daily, is the attitude that leads to life eternal. Therefore, let us fear (be sober) while a promise of entering His rest by entering the kingdom within still remains, lest any one of us should come short of entering (Heb. 4:1). We should all want to receive God’s message with a good attitude. We should receive the message with an attitude of gratefulness, an attitude of humbleness. Jesus assures us His Way is very easy and pleasant so let’s not make it difficult by having a wrong attitude about the Way of righteousness (Matt. 11:30; 21:32). Let us persevere in being servants to others for the glory of the Father, as Jesus Christ gave us commandment to do (Col. 3:17). In all things, let us show ourselves to be examples of good works (Titus 2:7, 14). • How to Live a Happy Life | WHOLE WHEAT

How to Live a Happy Life God’s word says that supreme happiness comes from being totally selfless. This is done by becoming a full-time servant of others. On the surface, this sounds like it is a supreme sacrifice on one’s part, but that notion couldn’t be further from the truth. Happiness comes from serving others, and teaching yourself to be totally outward is sheer health to your bones. If you don’t want the problems that others have, then help others who have those problems. This is a way of life that takes total commitment. But who wouldn’t totally commit themselves to being happy if they could be assured of the outcome? This assurance comes from the many changed lives of individuals who have started and finished before you. You can see by their lives that there has been a positive change for the good so, indeed, this is the truth. Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; 4 do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. 5 Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus. Phillipians 2:3-5 Let no one seek his own good, but that of his neighbor. 1 Corinthians 10:24 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and turn away from evil. 8 It will be healing to your body and refreshment to your bones. • Charity the Hidden Gospel | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Charity the Hidden Gospel Jesus taught the complete message of God in parable form many times throughout His ministry. He said He would open His mouth in parables and reveal information that has been hidden from man since the foundation of the world (Matt. 13:35). He spoke in mysteries because salvation was not being granted to everyone, only to those who were chosen and called by the Father (John 15:16; 13:18; Rev. 17:14). It was only granted to those given ears to hear, and eyes to see and understand the simple message of salvation (John 6:44, 65; 3:9-12). One mysterious parable about the kingdom that describes how to be made anew through conversion to God is found in Luke, chapter 11. Jesus said to a Pharisee, “Give that which is within as charity, and then all things are clean for you” (Luke 11:41). God’s word says that one who has perfect love does no harm to another person, but only good. The word charity is used often in God’s word, but it has been replaced by the word love. By substituting the word charity for love, we may better understand what Jesus said to the Pharisee in parable form (Prov. 10:12). When you use your mouth as an instrument of unrighteousness by swearing, cursing or talking foolishly, you are not walking charitably with your neighbor or fellow man. When you help a widow or orphan in need, you are practicing charity before God (James 1:27). When all areas of your life are charitable toward others, you have been perfected in love. You have overcome the evil one (1 John 2:13-14). You have become spiritually perfect or mature (Matt. 5:48). Jesus told the Pharisee the message of how to overcome in parable form so he would not understand it. However, He privately explained the parables He used to His own disciples (Mark 4:33-34). The parable revealed how to repent, how to be a new creature, and how to be obedient to God. The phrase, “then all things will be clean for you,” means that all areas of your life will be in harmony with God’s Will when you have been perfected in charity. You will be clean, with sins forgiven (1 Peter 4:8). God the Father has been calling a few people from every age to be His followers. They imitate Him and keep His Ways (Eph. 5:1; 1 Cor. 11:1). In Elijah’s day, there were 7,000 (1 Kings 19:14-18). In Noah’s day, there was just one (Gen. 7:1). During the last days, which we have now entered, there will be the great final harvest. Many will be called to a life of holiness, but few will heed the call. Many are called but few are chosen (Matt. 22:14). Out of all who heed the call to holiness through overcoming, only those who endure to the end will be saved (Rev. 2:26; Matt. 24:13; 10:22; 2 Tim. 2:12). So by all means, continually give that which is within to charity by continuing to perform good works of love toward all others until you have Jesus Christ’s new nature formed within you (Gal. 4:19). As you continually practice righteousness for God, you will enter the kingdom within, which is true godly conversion (1 John 2:29; Matt. 5:20; Luke 17:21). • Will You Be Faithful? | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Will You Be Faithful? Jesus said, “When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8). We need desperately to fully understand what Jesus Christ meant in this statement. There are different kinds of faith. There is the faith of Abraham. There is the faith of Jesus Christ. There is the faith that God will heal you, and the faith that He will forgive you. Some people have faith in the devil—the ruler of this world. Others have faith in the God of Abraham. Some have faith in their faith, which is their religion (Rom. 16:26). Others have no faith in man’s religions, but only trust their faith to Jesus Christ, who alone is faithful. Let us clear up, once and for all, the truth behind the word “faith” and its many meanings. God came to this earth some 2,000 years ago in human form to show us His Ways so that we could do His Will on this earth daily as it is being done in heaven daily (Matt. 6:10). He said those Ways are very easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30). God’s Ways represent God’s faith. Jesus Christ kept those Ways perfectly while He was here on this earth. He was faithful (Heb. 2:17). He kept the faith. He performed God’s Will. Jesus not only showed us those Ways, He told us about those Ways also. He did this so we could have an example to follow. He also gave us a written record of those Ways in His word, the Bible. Faith involves trust. When you know what the Lord expects of you, and you do those things daily, you are keeping the faith. You are pleasing the Father daily, just like Jesus did. As a result, you can trust the Lord to fulfill the Scriptures for you pertaining to the righteous. You can trust Jesus Christ to carry out His word in your life and take care of all your needs, wants and desires (Matt. 6:33). No good thing will God withhold from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11). God expects us to offer the sacrifice of righteousness and trust in the Lord (Psalm 4:5). That sacrifice is continually doing good and sharing because it pleases God (Heb. 13:16). Therefore, if we are continually doing good toward others, we can have faith that our prayers will be heard. That’s how simple it is to keep Jesus Christ’s commandments (1 John 3:22). Faith means obedience to God’s Ways. Unfaithfulness means disobedience to God’s Ways. Belief means obedience to Jesus Christ’s words, and unbelief is failing to practice God’s Ways toward others. Faith means trusting in God and not leaning on your own understanding. Faith means this, and so much more. Having faith means consistency in giving. The new covenant is full of Scriptures regarding giving as well as supporting a righteous cause. “Give, and it will be given to you,” God promises in Luke 6:38. In this Scripture, God is referring to giving to others who are in need. This could include giving clothes or food to someone in need. It could include giving shelter to someone who needs a place to stay (Matt. 25:33-40). It can also include giving financial support to a truly worthy cause. It is plain to see that Jesus was supported in His cause by many who believed in what He was doing. There were many who supported Him, not just a few (Luke 8:3). I know that if I were called of the Lord 2,000 years ago, I would have supported His cause. The gospel of Jesus Christ was preached around the whole world in Jesus’ day. He sent out His apostles to Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria and eventually to the remotest parts of the earth (Acts 1:8). It says the gospel will again be preached to the whole world, in the last days before the return of Jesus Christ (Matt. 24:14). We are preaching and publishing that same gospel and truth now, throughout the world, exposing the religious lies that have been taught in the name of Jesus Christ. We are all being called for one great purpose—to be faithful. Will you be faithful to God and His Ways? Will you be consistent in your faithfulness? Be faithful and support this great work of the Lord that is going out to the world and changing lives. By doing so, you too are a fellow worker for the Lord as it says in 3 John 7-8. To be part of the Lord’s work, in whatever way He calls us to be, is the greatest blessing and honor we could ever hope to be a part of in our lifetime. • How Father's Can Do God's Will | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How Father's Can Do God's Will God wants to bless families, but He cannot unless the family members allow Him to bless them by being obedient to His Ways. In God’s plan for marriage, husbands are the leaders, providers and disciplinarians; while wives are the helpers, encouragers and homemakers (Eph. 5:22-23; Prov. 22:6; 31:10-31; Heb. 12:9; Gen. 2:18). God chose Abraham because He knew he would bring up his children and the rest of the household in the Ways of the Lord. He would encourage them to practice righteousness and honesty in all their dealings with their fellow man, and he would be a godly example himself (Gen. 18:19). Abraham brought up his children with discipline and instructed them in the Ways of the Lord. He was careful not to over-discipline his children so as to discourage them from living God’s Way (Eph. 6:4; Col. 3:21). Children learn respect for their parents through balanced discipline and love. "For what son is there whom his father does not discipline?" God’s word says (Heb. 12:7). "Our fathers disciplined us and we respected them" (Heb. 12:9). Yes, the father who neglects discipline despises himself (Prov. 15:32). God knows that foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child, but loving, godly discipline will remove it far from him (1 Cor. 16:14; Prov. 22:15; 29:15, 17, 19; 19:18). Fathers, there is no substitute for discipline (Prov. 13:24). God believes in discipline done in wisdom and in love, never in anger (Jer. 10:24). There are also other forms of discipline you can use, such as depriving disobedient children of some of their freedom. Be sure to continually seek the Lord for wisdom. Wives who are living to please the Lord are commanded to be subject to their husbands. Help and encourage your husband to obey the Lord and do not discourage him when he disciplines the children. Do not hinder him, as Eve hindered her husband (Col. 3:18; 1 Cor. 11:8-9; 1 Tim. 2:14). Husbands, your wives cannot be in subjection to you until you are in subjection to God and have fulfilled your rightful duties to the Lord by being the loving master of your own household. Let us be prepared to meet the Lord should He return shortly (Luke 1:17). Let us stop depriving ourselves of happiness because we rebel against God’s Ways. After all, God’s Ways are all good for us (1 Cor. 7:3-5). PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • Are You Convicted? | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Are You Convicted? Jesus was a fully convicted person. He lived only to please the Father, by being a servant of others in love. Jesus Christ, as well as many of the apostles, gladly laid down their lives for the brethren because He was fully convicted (John 10:11, 15). As we look into the meaning of conviction, we will begin to see that it is conversion. To be in a fully converted state one must be in a fully convicted state of mind—one that is not "carried away by every wind of doctrine," as God’s word puts it (Eph. 4:14). Study to show yourself approved to God—be a person who needs not be ashamed and who handles the word of God accurately (2 Tim. 2:15). The reason for studying your Bible is so that you become fully convicted by it, and thus become fully converted in the process. If you are continually in God’s word, you are continually being convicted by its words, which are true (Heb. 6:18). Have you ever wondered why there are no collection plates spoken of in the Bible? There is no mention of weekly collections made by the apostles for the support of the apostles or for a building fund. However, there is mention of a collection for the poor saints in Jerusalem, which consisted of money, food, and clothing (1 Cor. 16:1-4). It shouldn’t even need to be said that every last cent collected went to the needy in Jerusalem and not to the apostles for salaries. Then how were the apostles supported? How, for that matter, was Jesus supported? Jesus had responsibilities. He had to teach the twelve apostles how to live. He also taught them all the words He heard from the Father. All this took over three years. He was constantly helping others, showing His disciples the “Way.” He also had to support His mother and His four brothers and His sisters, because He was the eldest. “Isn't this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James, Joses, Judas and Simon? Aren't His sisters here with us?” (Mark 6:3). He had a home, and with every home comes expenses (Mark 2:1). How, then, was Jesus supported? Simple: He was supported by those who were fully convicted. He was supported by people such as Joanna, the wife of Chuza, King Herod’s right hand man. Susanna and many others were contributing to the support of Jesus and the twelve disciples out of their own private funds (Luke 8:3). These women were helping to support them out of their own means. When you are convicted, you simply continually act on your conviction. This, then, is the only Scripture in the New Testament that reveals how Jesus and the apostles were supported. Notice the “many others” mentioned in that Scripture. That was many hundreds of others. How would one know that? First of all, the only people mentioned here by name are women. So it looks like women could have taken the lead in their support. Now consider this. If you were to train twelve men, and feed, clothe and lodge them over a three year period, how much would you need? If you were to take care of your very own mother and your four brothers and two or more sisters over a three year period, how much would you need? One thing is for sure, it wouldn’t be a little. So Jesus and the apostles were simply supported by those people who were convicted, right? Surely there were many who never began to live the new life, called the Way of righteousness. Also, many did not take the message of the truth to heart. Some probably were zealous at first, but when they began to be persecuted by others for living this Way, they fell away as it is mentioned in Matthew 13:20-21. Also, there had to be those who wouldn’t prove all that they heard, by looking it up in the Scriptures like the Bereans did (Acts 17:11). So they remained hearers of the word and were never convicted, and they never became converted to God (James 1:22). One definition of faith is “that which is believed.” But how can you believe unless your Spirit has been convicted? Now to strengthen the Spirit, we all need to be continually fed from God’s word, to prove all things and hold fast with conviction those things which we know and have proven to be true. That is solid faith! That is unwavering faith! Many are going to fall away from the faith because of lack of conviction. Their faith, as a result, will be weakened and continue to be weakened by their continued lack of conviction. Studying God’s word daily and continuing to do acts of kindness and charity daily will keep your conviction strong. The answered prayers you will continue to receive, along with healings and miracles, will keep your conviction strong. If you cannot convince another of the truth from God’s word, you are still not convicted yourself. The message is quite simple, so you can see many are simply not convicted yet. When a person hears a vacuum cleaner salesman give his convicting story, many are convicted enough to buy the vacuum immediately. Their conviction in the product automatically gave them faith in the salesperson. They were sold! This is exactly what happens when Jesus preached the truth from God’s word. People believed Him and, as a result of that belief or faith, many were healed (Luke 8:48). Many, however, did not continue in that truth by putting Jesus’ words into daily practice. They forgot His words. As a result, they lost their belief, their faith and their conviction. Those, however, who immediately put their hands to the plow and didn’t look back, continued to feed their conviction and fortified it with daily Bible study, good works and prayer. They kept learning, so they kept growing. As they were continually convicted by their reading, they automatically began to bring these convictions forward into their daily walk with God. When these new convictions were put into practice and thoroughly tested, they became fully convicted because they proved God’s word was right after all. One area where God wants you to test Him is in giving. Notice what the Lord says in Malachi 3:10: “...test Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven, and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.” The people who were convicted by the truth and began to live it gave money to the poor or needy (Acts 10:2; 9:36). They also supported Jesus Christ. Jesus took that support money and at times gave to the poor. “For some were supposing, because Judas had the money box, that Jesus was saying to him 'Buy the things we have need of for the feast,' or else, that he should give something to the poor" (John 13:29). Conviction, then, is not only faith but faithfulness. What would have happened if people were not faithful to Jesus Christ in supporting the truth and getting it out to others who were being called into the faith to be saved? Well that didn’t happen because they stayed convicted, and as a result, they remained faithful to God’s harvest. • How to Enter the Good Life | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Enter the Good Life This may come as a surprise to many, but one of the greatest words in the Bible is repent. Repentance is the ticket to the good life (Acts 3:26; John 10:10; 15:11; Luke 15:7). Repentance is the ticket to eternal life (Acts 26:20; Luke 13:3; Ezek.18:32; 1 John 2:17). Repentance is the ticket to forgiveness of sins (Luke 24:47). Repentance is the ticket to answered prayer (John 8:51; 9:31; 1 John 3:22). Repentance is the ticket to peace (Phil. 4:7). Repentance is the ticket to prosperity (Matt. 6:33; Luke 6:38). Repentance is the ticket to being a friend of God (James 2:17-26). Repentance is obedience to God’s Ways (1 Peter 1:2; 1 John 1:7; Deut. 10:12; Gen. 18:19; Jer. 6:16). To believe, you must repent. To have faith, you must repent. To obey, you must repent (John 3:36). Repentance is the key to the good life that God has waiting for you—a life full of joy, prosperity and every good thing. No good thing will God withhold from those who walk uprightly, which means those who repent (Psalm 84:11; Acts 10:35). The word “repent” received a bad reputation in the past by “fire and brimstone” half-truth preachers who claimed you had to give up everything that was fun. The truth is, God only wants you to stop doing the things that will hurt you or somebody else. Remember, God’s word says true love does no harm to its neighbor (Rom. 13:10). And the person who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law (Rom. 13:8). Whatever you would want others to do for you, do so for them, for this is the law and the prophets (Matt. 7:12). True repentance, then, is a Way of righteousness, which Jesus came to show us how to live, as well as tell us how to live (Matt. 21:32; 2 Peter 2:21). Repentance is keeping God’s Ways. Repentance is doing God’s Will daily on earth as it is being done in heaven (Matt. 6:10). Repentance is imitating God in word and deed (Eph. 5:1; 1 Peter 4:11). Repentance is living to do good for the Lord only. Repentance is daily righteousness. Did you think that repentance was feeling bad about your sins against God? That’s only half the truth. Your sins are forgiven by God when you forsake them by doing what is right in God’s sight daily. Forsaking your sins by overcoming evil, by continually doing good for God, will show God you are worthy of eternal life (Luke 20:35; Psalm 37:27). Repentance, then, is a happy and a joyful word. It means you have decided in your heart to live for God and to please Him in all you think, do and say, so He can bless you with every good thing. Repentance is turning to God by obeying Jesus’ words by putting them into practice in your daily life so God can bless you (John 8:51; Acts 3:26). So by all means, repent today and begin to live by God’s Ways, so He can begin to bless you for the rest of your days on this earth and give you the gift of eternal life (Matt. 3:2)! • How to Receive Answered Prayer | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Receive Answered Prayer One of the many blessings that comes from living the new life in Christ is answered prayer (Rom. 6:4). Because we live only to please God every day by performing God’s Will in our lives, we assure our hearts before God and we can ask in prayer without doubting (John 9:31; 1 John 3:18-19; James 1:6). We know He considers us righteous because we practice righteousness for God (1 John 3:7). And we know He hears the prayers of the righteous (1 Peter 3:12; Prov. 15:29). We practice living as Jesus Christ lived and as the Father lives by keeping the sayings of Christ (1 Cor. 11:1; Eph. 5:1; John 12:47; Luke 8:21). We also control our thoughts and the words we speak so that they are pleasing to God (1 Peter 4:11). But most of all, we use the members of our bodies as instruments of righteousness (Rom. 6:13; 1 Peter 3:11-12). We practice righteousness constantly to please God and to produce good fruits for Him (1 John 2:29; 3:10; John 15:8). The good fruits we produce on our spiritual trees are good works (Col. 1:10; Matt. 3:10; 7:17-20; Phil. 1:11). By conforming to godliness and by practicing righteousness, we allow God the Father to reveal His Son Jesus Christ in us (John 14:23; Gal. 1:16; 4:19). Keeping the commandments of Jesus Christ is not grievous, but very enjoyable (1 John 5:3; Matt. 11:30). It is the peaceful way that God created us to live (Jer. 10:23; Prov. 16:3; 20:24; Heb. 10:20, 24). We are at peace with ourselves because we are at peace with our Maker (John 17:13; 2 Thess. 3:16; Phil. 4:7). All we must do now is endure to the end (Matt. 10:22; 24:13; Rev. 2:26). We must remain loyal to God by remaining diligent and continuing to persevere in righteousness (Luke 21:19; Rev. 2:2-3, 19; Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13; Heb. 12:3). We have a purpose in life. We have found that purpose. We now know how to please God and complete our purpose by conforming our lives to His Way of life (1 Tim. 4:7; 6:3). Because we are seeking to please God in all our ways, we are abundantly blessed and our prayers are answered (Matt. 6:33; John 10:10; Mal. 3:10). • Don't Let Your Marriage Collapse | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Don't Let Your Marriage Collapse “The honeymoon is over,” is an American expression used when there is trouble in the marriage. In years past, there was a thing called courtship. This is when a man would woo a woman with flowers, perfume, candy and other continual acts of kindness. He would show to her by his continual actions that he was kind, generous, outgoing and a lovable type of person. Today, courtship has become living together, fornicating and using one another for self-gratification. Yes, people have turned what was designed by God to be beautiful into a nightmare of continual sin. How far removed we are from what was intended for our own good by a loving Creator. The true definition of love is continual, unselfish, outgoing concern for another (Phil. 2:3). Love is an action word. It is serving one another, doing things for one another, not just on birthdays and anniversaries, but continually. In many cases, if a husband would start buying love gifts and fresh flowers for his wife on a regular basis, she might think he was up to something. When she saw, however, that he meant it because he was consistent and it was coming from his heart, the honeymoon would begin again. Try following the example in the song which says, “I give to you and you give to me, true love, true love.” Yes, we can sing about it in a song, but until we put it into action, there will be no results. Selfishness is sin. The love of money is selfishness. Selfishness is the root of all evil. The deeds of our flesh are repeated over and over in God’s word. They include immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, jealousy, strife, outbursts of anger, disputes, etc. These things all stem from selfishness. Those who continue to practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God (Gal. 5:19-21; Matt. 15:19; Mark 7:21-23; 1 Cor. 6:9-10; Eph. 5:5-6; 2 Tim. 3:1-5). Often the very people who practice these things are churchgoers, “holding to a form of godliness,” yet not living by every word of God - refusing to recognize their sinful ways or repent of them (Matt. 4:4; Jude 15-16; Romans 1:29-32; Mal. 3:5; Rev. 21:8; Rev. 16:9-11; Rev. 9:20-21). Read these Scriptures and recognize these sins in yourself, then begin a life of repentance immediately. Begin a life of loving, giving, sharing and caring. Show compassion, kindness and forgiveness, first to your mate, and then to all others for the rest of your life. This is how you imitate God (Eph. 5:1; 1 Peter 4:1). If wives are to win their disobedient husbands to the Lord by their actions, without a word, how much more should a husband do the same (1 Peter 3:1)! It’s time for us to grow up and repent or we will all perish (Luke 13:3, 5). Jesus always means what He says (Ezek. 7:9; Jer. 4:22; 8:6; 9:9; 16:12; 17:9-10; Jer. 25:4-5; 26:13; Mal. 3:6). The Lord wants you to live happily by daily practicing what is right in His sight. When you are not doing what is right, you are troubling your own house and God’s word says you will eventually inherit the wind. That means you’ll lose everything (Prov. 11:29 NIV). True repentance is doing good deeds daily to please the Father in heaven (Acts 26:20; John 8:29). Begin to repent in your marriage by taking the first step. Jesus will be right behind you. The Lord only expects three things from you: Study His word, put it into practice, and pray for others, as well as yourself (Matt. 7:24; Luke 8:21; John 8:51; 12:47-50; 1 Thess. 5:17; Eph. 6:18; Luke 18:1; 11:5-10). Is that too much to ask when He gives you His salvation? PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • Imitate God: A Woman to Woman Article | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Imitate God: A Woman to Woman Article We are created in God’s image (Gen. 1:26). He knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows how we should live. Yes, we are to walk like God walks and talk like God talks in order to be healthy and happy (Eph. 5:1; 1 Peter 4:11). Paul wrote this to the Ephesians: “Be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you, and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma” (Eph. 5:1-2). What an awesome thing Christ did. He gave His life as a sacrifice for us, so that when we live to please Him every day, this is our sacrifice of righteousness for Him. As a result, our sins are forgiven (Heb. 13:16). We are admonished in Ephesians 5:8 to “walk as children of light.” What does this mean? The answer is in the next two verses. Ephesians 5:9-10 say: “For the fruit of the light consists of all goodness and righteousness and truth, trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.” To learn what pleases the Lord is very important. It consists of studying the Scriptures daily by subject (2 Tim. 2:15 KJV; 2 Tim. 3:16-17). Ephesians 5:15 says: “Be careful how you walk, not as unwise men [or women], but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil.” Are we doing our best for God with each and every hour that passes? Are we performing acts of kindness and love and saying good words continually to glorify God in thought and in deed? Ephesians 5:17 tells us not to be foolish, but understand what the Will of the Lord is. Good words and kind deeds are His Will, and we are to do them in Jesus Christ’s name for God’s glory (Col. 3:17). We want to do all we do with the right attitude. See Ephesians 5:18-20: “...Be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Father.” It pleases God to do all we do in word and deed with an attitude of thankfulness and a happy heart. God is telling us to put on the new self with all these Scriptures. We are laying aside the old self and truly overcoming evil when we are doing good, which is putting on the new self in the likeness of God (Eph. 4:22, 24; Psalm 37:27). Let us sing a happy song, Let’s be thankful all day long. Making music in our heart, Gives each day a brand new start. It’s a song of thankfulness, It’s the Way of righteousness. Live to please the Lord above, Walking in His Ways of love. PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • Make Your Ways Straight | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Make Your Ways Straight There are many different expressions in the Bible instructing believers to walk with singleness of mind, singleness of eye or singleness of heart. Hebrews 12:13 commands, "Make straight paths for your feet." Making straight paths for your feet is walking in righteousness at all times - continually. To always walk in righteousness is to always please the Lord. To always please the Lord we must constantly remember to please Him with our thoughts, words and deeds (Col. 1:10). We must refrain from sin and engage in those things that are good, edifying, honorable and profitable for others (Titus 3:8). Walking with singleness of mind and heart is being intent on serving and pleasing only God (Matt. 6:24). He is number one in your life, in your heart and in your mind. You must make Him number one in your actions. Psalm 106:3 says, "How blessed are those who practice righteousness at all times." God will do good to those who are good, but you cannot be good unless you do good for God daily, in secret (Psalm 125:4; 37:27; Matt: 5:16). You must not do your good because you want people to know of the good you do for others (Matt. 6:1). To make your ways straight, then, please the Lord in all you do. Seek God by doing good to please Him. Turn away from a life of sin to a life of righteousness (Rom. 12:21). This is the way of peace (Luke 1:79). It is also the way to prosperity, blessings, answered prayer, joy and every good thing (Prov. 13:21; 1 John 3:22; Heb. 13:21). So do not deprive yourself of the good life with the free gift of eternal life that comes from living a godly life. It is the life Jesus Christ lived, and He came to show us how easy and pleasant it is (Matt. 11:30). You will soon be a new you, if to His Ways you remain true (Gal. 6:15; Col. 3:10, 12-17). • All About Works | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search All About Works Satan is the enemy of all righteousness and that includes good works! He confuses the works of the law with the works of faith. Thus, we have many faiths with no works at all. Did Jesus’ faith have works? It is said there are many other good works Jesus did, which if they were written in detail, it is possible even the world itself would not contain the books written (John 21:25; 20:30). Did Jesus say His followers would have works? He said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he shall do also; and greater works than these shall he do because I go to the Father” (John 14:12). Jesus did good works in the Father’s name and for the Father’s glory (John 8:54; 10:25; 10:32; Matt. 5:16). He did the works He saw the Father doing (John 4:34; 5:19). He told all His followers to do these same works on earth as they are done in heaven because doing God’s works is doing God’s Will (Matt. 6:10; 7:21). These works are misunderstood by a deceived, misled world. That’s why Jesus says, “Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?” (Luke 6:46). Jesus continually admonished His followers to be doers of good works. Jesus did not live to please self, but others (Rom. 15:3; Matt. 20:28). He was pleasing His neighbor for His neighbor’s good and edification (Rom. 15:2). He was not seeking His own good, but was denying Himself daily by doing good works toward His neighbor (Luke 9:23; Matt. 25:33-46; 1 Cor. 10:24). He took on the form of a bond-servant, showing us how to do good works (Phil. 2:7; Matt. 23:11). He didn’t live for self by looking out for His own interests, but He looked out for the interests of others (Phil. 2:4). Having a faith with works means serving others in need for the glory of God (Matt. 5:16; James 2:14-18). Jesus’ faith is one of good deeds and not only words (1 John 3:18-19). It is a faith that is perfected by works (James 2:22). A faith that has works is a faith that is not foolish (James 2:20). A faith that has works is not dead, but is alive because of righteous good works (James 2:26; Rom. 8:10). A faith that serves others is the kind of faith God rewards because it pleases Him (Luke 14:13-14). Jesus did His works in the Father’s name and we are to do these same deeds in Christ’s name (John 10:25; 1 Cor. 3:13-14; Rev. 2:26; Col. 3:17). We are to overcome evil by doing good and allow God to crush Satan under our feet (Rom. 12:21; 16:20; 2 Tim. 2:26). Doing good works is how you glorify God daily and how you perform God’s Will on this earth (Matt. 5:16). When you do good works for God, He can bless you daily (Eph. 6:8). You build godly character and discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness when you do good works for God (1 Tim. 4:7). Good works is the good fruit on your spiritual tree (John 15:16; Col. 1:10; Matt. 3:10). Now you have the truth from God’s word about good works. • What is the Best Bible Translation? | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search What is the Best Bible Translation? The best translation of the Bible is the one that has the clearest meaning to the key verses that explain how to live the Way that Jesus Christ lived. One example is Titus 2:14. In the original Greek it says, "…cleanse for Himself a people zealous for good works." In the King James Version it says, "purify unto Himself a peculiar people zealous of good works." The New American Standard Version says, "…zealous for good deeds," and so does the Revised Standard Version. The Living Bible, the New International Version, and other modern language versions change, water down and distort this verse, along with Titus 3:8-14. If you do not maintain good works or good deeds, you have stopped bearing good fruit for God (Matt. 3:10). If you are not zealous for good deeds, you are leaving a door open through which you can be tempted by Satan (1 Peter 3:13; 5:8). Do you think Jesus Christ overcame the world by doing nothing? Of course not. He overcame the world by doing the Father’s Will - which is righteousness - every day. Jesus only lived to do good towards others, as He instructed us to do daily. Jesus never lived to do His own will but only the Father’s Will, continually (John 6:38). To bear fruit for God is to practice righteousness (Col. 1:10). To bear fruit is to be a doer of the word (James 1:22). To bear fruit is to experience a change of nature, a change of heart and a change of attitude, as happy slaves of Jesus Christ, until we finally do the Will of God from the heart (Matt. 5:16, 20; 6:1; Eph. 6:6). The Will of God is righteousness and that is what we are to practice. We do the practicing so God can do the perfecting. The Bible with the clearest meaning and the most reliable to the original Greek is the 1977 New American Standard Version, but always have a King James Version close by to double-check some passages, as it is the oldest version but not always the easiest to understand. Try comparing 2 Timothy 2:15, Hebrews 12:14, 1 John 5:7 and Acts 12:4 in the New American Standard 1977 and the King James Version. The 1995 New American Standard Version has removed the archaic Old English - thee’s and thou’s - and updated some of the words for more modern reading, so we may quote from it in some of our features, however, we still rely on the 1977 NASB. Of course, if you have a Bible that you love and are wearing out for God by studying it daily, just continue and the Lord will continue to teach you through His word. • How Do We Enter the Kingdom Within? | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How Do We Enter the Kingdom Within? The Pharisees (religious leaders) and scribes (lawyers) of Jesus’ day knew God was going to send His kingdom to this earth, but they denied it was a spiritual kingdom (Luke 17:21). Jesus told the Pharisees that because they were practicing righteousness for hypocritical reasons, they were not entering the kingdom of God. They were not overcoming Satan, but giving in to him. They were not receiving a new godly nature themselves, and because they were not, they were hindering those who were trying to enter it (Matt. 23:13). They had taken away the key to the knowledge of how to enter the kingdom of heaven. Jesus told them several times what they were lacking in their message—justice, mercy and faithfulness (Matt. 23:23; 12:7; 9:13; Luke 11:52). But they refused to listen and understand this mystery (Matt. 13:11). So, Jesus gave the keys of knowledge on how to enter the kingdom of God to Peter and the other disciples (Matt. 16:19). He told them they must practice justice, mercy and faithfulness (Rom. 2:7 Psalm 106:3). He said they must study God’s word, understand what the Will of God is, and do it, in order to become disciples of the kingdom (Matt 13:52; Eph. 5:17; 2 Tim 2:15). Jesus said, the kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed (Luke 17:20-21). Instead, it is inside you. It is a pleasant way of life (Matt. 11:30). It is entered by practicing righteousness (Rom. 14:17). But you must force your way into it (Luke 16:16; 13:24). You can become a sheep or you can remain a goat (Matt. 25:33-46). The choice is yours. • Deception | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Deception Deception is defined as the act of causing someone to accept as true or valid, that which is false or invalid. It comes in many forms and we should continually be aware, when we are striving to live for God by the truth of His Word. Revelations 12:9 tells us that Satan is deceiving the whole world. Even Simon Peter was sifted as wheat, by Satan, as it talks about in Luke 22:31. He doesn’t want anyone to overcome evil (Satan) by continually doing good for God. Anyone who does overcome is imitating Jesus Christ, and Satan loses another subject in his kingdom (Psalm 37:27; Rom. 12:21). 2 Peter 1:10-11 says; Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble; for in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you. Jesus warns all His followers in the last days to be careful and not be religiously misled (Matt. 24:5, 24; Luke 21:8). How will you know, and how can you be sure when you are being deceived? What does God’s word say? In order to have a better understanding of the Bible, we should approach it as a lawyer by proving all things with Scripture (Acts 17:11). In Matthew 24, Jesus was asked by His disciples what would happen at the end of the age of man’s rule on this earth. The first subject Jesus addressed in Matthew 24 concerned those who would come preaching in His name (Matt. 24:5). They would deceive and mislead many from the narrow Way that only very few find (Matt. 7:14). Religious deception, then, must be the number one obstacle to finding the truth of God. Matthew 24:11 says; Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. How can one know for certain that the person he is listening to knows the truth, instead of religious lies and half-truths? Jesus said we would know them by their good deeds or fruits (Col. 1:10; Matt. 7:20). God’s true ministers must preach the obedience that is a part of the faith of Jesus Christ (Acts 6:7). Only through this obedience are one's sins covered by the blood of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:2). You must walk in the light to have your sins covered by the blood of Jesus Christ (1 John 1:7). There is one faith, one truth and it must be practiced daily (1 John 1:6; John 3:21). That truth is the Way of righteousness—the Way that Jesus Christ lived and we are to imitate (Matt. 21:32). Jesus not only came to show us how to live to please the Father, He also told us how to live by His very own words. He commanded us to glorify the Father daily by doing righteous good works and thus, let our lights shine before others as godly examples of righteousness (Matt. 5:16). Jesus said that many who would follow Him would do more good works than He did (John 14:12). This is how you learn righteousness—by engaging in it daily like Jesus Christ our example did (Jer. 9:24). Consider the momentous impact that Jesus’ words and actions had on those who observed Him and heard Him speak daily. Consider the effect the apostles had on society at large, and how they were hated by many of the established religions of their day—members of religions who claimed they worshiped God in the right manner. Many do not realize that there were many false churches preaching in the name of Jesus Christ in Jesus’ day (Acts 19:13; Luke 9:49; Matt. 7:22-23). At one time, Jesus had more than 80 disciples who were following Him; including the original twelve apostles. Later, most of them left and only the original twelve remained (Luke 6:13; Luke 10:1; John 6:66-68). Could those who fell away from Jesus Christ have started their own groups or churches? This, of course, would be very feasible. What, then, was Jesus Christ’s advice to those who would seek Him and His truth from His word at the end of the age of man’s rule on earth? Jesus said boldly, “DO NOT GO AFTER THOSE who come preaching in My name” (Luke 21:8). How, then, is one to seek God? One seeks God by diligently studying (not just reading) the Scriptures to find out what kind of conduct pleases God (2 Tim. 2:15 King James Version). We are not to remain fools but understand what God’s Will is. Once we know what God's Will is, He desires that we perform it daily to be pleasing to Him (Eph. 5:17; John 5:30; 7:17; 8:29; 1 John 3:22). It is a fact that one is either pleasing, and serving, God daily by doing His Will or one is pleasing, and serving, Satan daily by not doing it (Matt. 6:24). In Matthew 6:10 we are told to do God’s Will upon this earth daily as it is being done in heaven by God, if we are to be pleasing to Him. It then behooves us to know what that Will is, and to know it well, so that we can walk the straight and narrow Way every day to please Him. God is once again going to determine who the righteous are and who the wicked are, who will become sheep and who will remain goats, who will become whole wheat and who will remain tares (Mal. 3:18; Matt. 25:33-46; 13:24-30, Rev. 22:12). God wants to know who will be a servant of others for Him, like Jesus Christ and Dorcas were (Acts 9:36). This is how to be a doer of the word, be holy by living holy and no longer be religiously deceived (James 1:22). Satan is used by God in heaven to test humans to see whether they will allow themselves to be deceived. God wants to see who is going to receive a love for His truth so as to be saved, and who is not. God wants to find out who could care less. 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 says; And with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness. These people are the wicked, that God must sort out before He returns to make a world where only righteousness dwells (Mal. 3:18). This is that great test God is going to bring upon the whole world (Rev. 3:10). Jesus said it is very important for a person to follow Him and not get sidetracked. He especially warns us about those that stray from His truth and message in 2 Timothy 4:3-4; For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths. He warns us in Romans 16:17 as well; Now I urge you, brethren, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them. Look up in your dictionary what it means to 'turn away' and its synonyms. God is very serious about this (2 Thess. 3:6; 1 Cor. 15:33; Prov. 12:26). He used the example of one disciple who wanted to go bury his father, warning us not to let earthly distractions keep us from obeying and doing God’s Will above everything else (Matt. 8:21-22). Deuteronomy 30:17-18 says; But if your heart turns away and you will not obey, but are drawn away and worship other gods and serve them, I declare to you today that you shall surely perish. Jesus says that if you do not continue to follow Him because you love your friends, relatives, children or husband more than God are not worthy of eternal life (Matt. 10:37). This is one of the biggest tests that a few may experience. The Bible is full of examples of another kind of deception; when we are deceived by our own human nature. It is usually because of strife, bitterness, envy, jealousy, competitiveness or an unforgiving spirit (Gal. 5:20-26). These attributes are not from God, but from the devil and we should watch out for them. They are of the flesh and not from God’s Holy Spirit (Rom. 8:6; Gal. 5:16). Hebrews 12:15 warns us; See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled. I have seen many a person’s faith suffer shipwreck because of these things (1 Tim. 1:19). I have seen others become so good at justifying themselves, that they sound like intellectuals or philosophers (Luke 16:15). I have seen many make God’s simple truth, very complicated in their lives. I have seen the power of Satan work through those who would not first be followers, but wanted to be teachers before they taught themselves (James 3:1). I have seen wives control their husbands and destroy their faith by doing so (1 Peter 3:1-6, 8, 9). I have seen men do the same (1 Peter 3:7-9). I have seen many who were called to live holy, pure lives begin to think thoughts which are far removed from what is holy and pure (Matt. 16:23; Rom. 8:5-6, Ps. 7:9, Luke 6:45). As people trying to live for God, we are going to be misunderstood, misquoted and have evil spoken of us (Job 15:35; Neh. 6:8, Ps. 83:5, Ps. 119:113, Prov. 24:2, Acts 14:2). If we did not have these trials, we would not grow, nor would the Lord be working with us any longer. God wants to know who is going to endure (Matt. 10:22). He wants to know who is going to keep on keeping on. God tests those who live His Way to see who will devour others and cause dissension and disharmony (1 John 1:6; Rom. 16:17; Gal. 5:15; 2 Tim. 2:14-15). Jesus said, “Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household." (Matt. 10:34-36). Yes, all who live for the Lord will suffer persecution (2 Tim. 3:10-12). If we do not continue to follow Jesus Christ, and keep His Ways and overcome by doing so, we are not worthy of eternal life (Matt. 10:38). Each one of us must answer to God in regard to the tests and trials we all must go through, and if we allow ourselves to stray from the truth of His word (1 Tim. 1:5-7; 2 Pet. 2:20-22). Your spiritual walk is between you and the Lord, and we will each stand before God to give an account for our lives (Rev. 20:12; 2 Tim. 4:8; Heb. 4:12; Rom. 2:16; John 12:48). We are called with a free will and we must make the choice, for ourselves, every day if we are going to live by God’s Ways (Deut. 30:15-20; Rev. 22:12). Whole Wheat strives to help you through these tests and trials by encouraging you with God’s word and constantly reminding you of the one and only truth that saves (Ps. 7:10; 119:160; Zech. 8:16, John 14:6). Seek the truth and it shall set you free (John 8:32). We strive to help you persevere and keep your hand on the plow (Luke 9:62). We strive to help you know how to please God, how to live godly, how to overcome and how to receive answered prayers, using the examples given in Scripture. Most of all, we strive to help you know God, prove that He exists and be His friend and disciple (John 15:8). The foundation of Whole Wheat has always been proving what is true, through Scripture, by studying your own Bible. The best way to learn is to convict yourself. Romans 14:22 says; The faith which you have, have as your own conviction before God. It is your choice whether or not you use the resources we offer (2 Pet. 1:12-13; 3:1). They are here for you as a support and to share with others. As you continue to apply this message and strengthen your faith in Christ Jesus, then God can continually reveal more to you as you spiritually mature. Then you will not be among those deceived, but will be prepared to meet the Lord instead (Luke 1:17; Rev. 3:7-8). • Did Jesus Faith Have Good Works? | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Did Jesus Faith Have Good Works? Jesus said, "My Father is working until now, and I Myself am working; My food is to do the Will of Him who sent Me, and to accomplish His work" (John 5:17; 4:34). These verses say Jesus did the Will of the Father on earth as it is being done in heaven (Matt. 6:10). He was doing the Father’s works, which are all righteous (Rom. 10:3). Jesus Christ and His disciples subjected themselves to the righteousness of God. Jesus even said some who followed Him would do greater works than He did (John 14:12). A lot of people are ready to receive the message of the Way of righteousness today (John 4:35). They are hungry for it. John 4:36 says anyone who is living this Way is already receiving blessings and bearing fruit for eternal life (Matt. 5:19; 3:10; 1 John 3:7, 10, 17-20). Jesus Christ’s faith had works of righteousness (John 10:32, 37-38). He helped people in need of clothing or daily food (James 2:15-17). His faith was not dead but alive because of His good works (James 2:26). Jesus knew that a man is not justified by faith alone, nor by works based on the law of Moses, but by works of righteousness done for God’s glory (James 2:24; Rom. 3:20; Matt. 5:16). Jesus’ works were not based on self-righteousness, which is righteousness of the flesh, but on the righteousness of faith (Rom. 3:27). So also, our works are to be based on the righteousness of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. By doing these works of righteousness, our faith is perfected (James 2:22). Yes, faith without works - daily good works - is dead (James 2:26)! We glorify God by doing good deeds - deeds of charity, deeds of love, lending and giving to those in need and expecting nothing in return, entertaining strangers (which is opening our homes to those in need), visiting the sick, helping the poor, feeding the hungry and never returning evil for evil (Matt. 25:33-40). We must overcome our natures by doing all these good deeds or works for God on a daily basis (Rom. 12:21; Rev. 2:26; 1 Peter 3:13). Begin today to suffocate your old nature and its evil ways. This will allow God to put it to death and give you His nature (Rom. 16:20; Gal. 4:19). As you do, you will begin to realize why a faith without good works is dead, yes, truly dead! • Principles of Success | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Principles of Success Success in life is knowing Jesus Christ. Success in life is knowing God’s Ways. We are successful in life when we persevere in doing what is right, for the glory of God. Success in life is abiding in Christ. Success in life is entering the kingdom of heaven, which is within us (Luke 17:21, KJV). These principles of success are the key to riches and honor and eternal life (Rom. 2:7). The mind of man cannot conceive what God has planned for those He loves. No good thing will He withhold from the person who lives the right way and glorifies God in heaven each day by doing good works (Psalm 84:11; Matt. 5:16). The righteous are repaid according to the deeds of love they have done in Jesus’ name (Col. 3:17). The Bible tells us that when we cast our bread upon the waters, after many days it will return to us (Eccl. 11:1). Yes, for every good thing we do, in service to others for the glory of God - expecting nothing in return, we will receive a reward many times more than the good we have done (Eph. 6:8; 2 Cor. 9:10). It is impossible to give more than God can. Those people who serve others are most precious. They are greatly appreciated by men as well as by God. How blessed is the man who considers the helpless, the poor and the needy. The Lord will deliver him in his day of trouble. The Lord will protect him and keep him alive. That person who helps and serves others shall be called blessed on the earth. The Lord will not only protect him from his enemies, He will also keep him alive when he is sick. He will restore such a person to health (Psalm 41:1-3). The Lord will give His Spirit to anyone who begins to obey what He says and turns at His reproof (Prov. 1:23). The Bible remains a closed book to those who refuse to repent and obey it (2 Cor. 4:3-4). To repent, is to begin to obey Jesus Christ by serving others. Jesus Christ is calling us to be servants of others. Jesus Christ, our example, did not come to be served - but to serve (Mark 10:45). He said the greatest among us would be the one who serves the most (Matt. 20:26-28; Phil. 2:2-5; Luke 9:48; Matt. 23:11; Mark 9:35; 10:43-44; 1 Cor. 10:24). These words are indeed the principles of success in this life and the one to come. Yes, Jesus Christ - our Lord and Master - came to show us how to be servants of others on a one-to-one basis, so we can be truly successful for God’s glory. Remember, if the righteous are scarcely saved, what is going to happen to those who will not obey the gospel of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 4:18)? For without holiness, which comes as a result of practicing righteousness, no one will see the Lord (Heb. 12:14, KJV). • The Benefits of Repentance | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search The Benefits of Repentance God has promised many good things to those who repent and live to please Him every day in all they think, do, and say (2 Chron. 16:9). There are many ways we can please God in our daily lives. We please God when we hold no ill-will toward our fellow man (1 Cor. 13:5). God commands us never to pay back evil for evil but do good to those who mistreat us (Prov. 20:22; Luke 6:35; Matt. 5:44). Never argue with anyone since that, too, is a form of paying back evil for evil (Titus 2:9; 1 Tim. 6:4). Living a charitable life, serving others in need and just showing love to everyone at all times, is living a repentant life before God (1 Cor. 13:2; Matt. 25:33-40). God blesses us tremendously when we truly repent. If you repent, God will: • Forgive your sins (Acts 2:38). • Answer your prayers (1 John 3:22; James 1:6). • Heal your diseases (Matt. 4:23). • Make sure you have food and clothes (1 Tim. 6:8). • Protect you from harm and protect your possessions (Prov. 12:21). • Protect you in war (Job 5:20). • Feed you in times of famine (Prov. 10:3). • Give you eternal life (Gal. 6:8). • Reward you double for all you do for Him on earth in Jesus Christ’s name (Zech. 9:12). • Repay your enemies (Heb. 10:30). • Bless you in all that you put your hand to do (Gen. 17:6). • Be your friend (John 15:14). • Perfect you in all your ways (1 Peter 5:10). • Allow you to live longer (Prov. 10:27; 2 Kings 20:5-6). • Resurrect you when He returns and give you a glorified body (1 Cor. 15:52). • Bring you a suitable mate (Gen. 24:7, 12-19). • Bless your children (Prov. 14:26; Is. 44:3). • Give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4). • Give you abundance (Luke 6:38; Mal. 3:10). • Promote you in your career and give you power to get wealth (Eccl. 5:19). • Protect you when you stumble (1 Pet. 1:4-6). • Make your enemies be at peace with you (Prov. 16:7). • Make a way where there is no way (Mark 10:27). The list could go on and on. The more zealous we become in serving God, the more He blesses us. Yes, He will test our motives for doing good to make sure we are not doing good for selfish reasons (Matt. 6:1). Our repentance must come from our hearts and when it does, the blessings come pouring down from the Father above (Mal. 3:10; Luke 6:38)! God’s Ways of repentance are truly easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30).❑ PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • Ever Learning But Never Able | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Ever Learning But Never Able Everywhere you go, you see people reading—on buses, in libraries, on park benches—everywhere. They may be reading newspapers, magazines, love stories, adventure stories or fiction books, yet something is tragically wrong. No one, it seems, is searching for God. No one, it seems, is searching for the truth. The very same thing was happening in the days of Noah, which was the cause of the flood. There are people reading and studying at all the learning institutions in the world, yet they are ever learning, ever reading, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth (2 Tim. 3:7). The whole purpose of life is to seek the truth and find out why you were born, and why on earth you walk on this earth. The very purpose of this life is to seek God. God’s word says, “If you seek Him, you will find Him.” For God will let you find Him, and He will reveal to you the truth of why you are here (1 Chron. 28:9; 22:19). Not interested? Neither were the people in the days of Noah interested. Are some of you interested? Good, because God has a wonderful surprise for those who are interested (1 Cor. 2:9). Man was not created to walk or live as he pleases, but to walk or live in all the Ways that the Lord said he should live. Jesus’ words represent those Ways (John 8:51). God has given animals instinct. They live and do as they have been programmed by God to live. So God has given animals instinct, but He has given man His manual—the Bible—on how man should live and rise above the animal state. Before God revealed to man His Ways, He had His Ways tried and tested time and time again (seven times). This was done to make sure they were perfect for man to follow (Psalm 12:6). Man has instinct—basic animal instinct—but he was designed to rise above that animal instinct and be like God (Eccl. 3:18). This is done by the process of keeping God’s Ways, continually doing good towards others and thus, learning to control those animal instincts and be like God (Eph. 5:1). This is what it means to truly be civilized. God even promised man that if he would live the Way he was created to live, then no good thing would the Lord withhold from him. God’s word is full of examples of all the blessings that will be showered upon those who choose to live uprightly or righteously in his lifetime (Psalm 84:11). Of course, with these blessings comes the gift of eternal life, if you continue and endure living God’s peaceful, productive, life-changing Way of life (Matt. 10:22; 24:13; 2 Tim. 2:12; Rev. 2:26). God’s word explains to man how to treat others in a civilized way. It teaches us how to treat our neighbors (all others) with love, as we would want them to treat us. God wants to know who will and who won’t live decently in this world (Mal. 3:18). He wants to know who cares and those who could care less about living by His Ways. He wants to know who would do good towards others, if they knew to do good, and who would not do good for others even though they knew that’s what they should do to please God (Matt. 25:33-46). The wicked in the Bible are called dogs, goats, chaff, bad fish and stumbling blocks. They must be sorted out from the righteous and destroyed by the Lord before He sets up His kingdom of righteousness on this earth. In the days of Noah, God simply spared righteous Noah and his family by having him build an ark, and then He destroyed the rest of mankind with water. This time He will let mankind destroy itself with wars, famine and disease. A time is coming very shortly that will be so bad, that if Jesus Christ did not return, there would be no humans left alive (Matt. 24:22). At that time, all those who have been found worthy (those who live to please God daily by learning to be servants to others by keeping God’s Ways) will be rescued (Dan. 12:1; Luke 21:36 King James Version). God says the knowledge of this world is foolish, evil and demonic (James 3:15; 1 Cor. 3:19; 2 Chron. 15:2; Is. 9:17; 44:25). It is certainly not knowledge from above. Most men have rejected God—they have rejected His word which is from above. God warns all to be saved from this perverse generation by living blameless and innocent lives before Him (Acts 2:40). He wants you to be a light or good example in the world before others by being honest, kind and loyal towards others. He wants you to be a part of the solution to the evil in the world and not continue to be a part of the problem. Now is the time to put away the books of men and start studying the book of God, so your Creator can teach you, bless you, change you and make you acceptable and worthy for eternal life (Luke 20:35 New American Standard Version). • Must Christians Suffer? | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Must Christians Suffer? Once you start to live like Christ, a strange thing will happen (1 Cor. 11:1; Eph. 5:1; 1 Peter 4:12). You might begin to suffer (Acts 14:22). When this happens, it is God’s stamp of approval, showing that He is working with you (Rom. 8:17-18; Heb. 12:8). Jesus Christ says anyone who will live as God lives will suffer persecution (2 Tim. 3:12; John 15:20). "Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven" (Matt. 5:10). People may falsely say bad things about you, or persecute you because you are living your life for Christ by being zealous for good deeds (Matt. 5:11; Titus 2:14). If you are glorifying God with your good works and allowing God to crush your old nature, He must surely test you (Matt. 5:16; Rom. 16:20; 12:21). "Rejoice, and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great" (Matt. 5:12). You know full well, when you first start living a life that pleases God, the good deeds you force yourself to do will not come from your heart (Rom. 7:21; Luke 16:16). You must go through the hypocritical stage of the Pharisees (Matt. 5:20). Eventually, you will do the Will of God from your heart if you continue doing good daily and do not turn back (Eph. 6:6). This is done by disciplining yourself for the purpose of godliness (1 Tim. 4:7). You must force yourself to be a slave of righteousness for Jesus Christ by using the members of your body as slaves of righteousness (1 Cor. 9:27; Rom. 6:13, 18-19). You force your way into the kingdom of God that is within you by renewing your mind and your heart with God’s Spirit (Luke 16:16; 17:21). You enter the kingdom of God when you have totally rested from all your works of the flesh (Heb. 4:10). This is the same as entering God’s spiritual rest. You rest from the works of the flesh when you stop doing things your way and start doing them God’s Way, as an obedient servant. You learn obedience to God when you suffer (Heb. 5:8). That is how you are made perfect like Jesus Christ (Heb. 5:9; Matt. 5:48; Heb. 12:23). All humans suffer during their lifetime (1 Peter 3:17; 5:9-10). Disciples of Jesus Christ count it a joy because their suffering has a godly purpose when they live only to imitate God by keeping His Ways (1 Peter 4:1-2, 12-13, 16-19; Eph. 5:1; Phil. 3:8-11). • Those Who Do Good | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Those Who Do Good The word of God says the person who does good is of God (3 John 11). Why is this so? God is good (Mark 10:18). Why? Because God does good. Even the word "good" comes from the word "God." What would conditions be like if we had a God who just thought beautiful thoughts about doing good, but never acted on those thoughts? We wouldn't be here. Nothing good would be done. We would have a good-for-nothing God and this is impossible. If you want to be like God and be considered good, you must manifest your good thoughts through good actions. If doing what is evil is bad, is doing what is good, good? If doing what is bad is considered lawlessness, disobedience, unbelief, unfaithfulness, unworthiness and disbelief, would doing good turn all these negative words around? Isn't that a result of positive action? Can you begin to see this is what it means to repent? Can you see that all those who will not repent by turning their actions around and making them good, should, will, and must perish from the earth (Matt 3:10)? Can you see that doing good is all the Lord expects from us for repentance? Can you also see that's all a loving father would expect and want from his loving children? Can you understand that when children do what is right in the sight of their father, they are showing their father love by their actions and they are accepted by him (Acts 10:34-35)? Can you see why God's true message is a message to children? Can you see that unless you become like a little child before your heavenly Father, you won't become converted, and you will not be reconciled to Him and enter the kingdom of heaven (Matt. 18:3-5)? This is why only those who do good are of God (3 John 11). PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • Charity Defined | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Charity Defined Now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. For charity shall cover a multitude of sins. —1 Corinthians 13:13 (King James Version). Jesus Christ was continually going about telling others about the true message of salvation. Many times, however, He would tell the message of the kingdom of God in parable form because He did not want people to know the message (Matt. 13:11, 14-17, 35; Mark 4:33-34). One such parable is found in Luke 11:41. Jesus told the Pharisees the true gospel in parable form. A parable is a riddle, a dark saying (Ezek. 17:2; Psalm 78:2) or a figurative language (John 16:25). Jesus said in Luke 11:41, “Give that which is within to charity, and then all things are clean for you.” Let’s say it in plain language instead of in a mystery form or a figurative language. “Make yourself a new heart, one that is charitable, and I will forgive all your sins. Continually do good to please Me and I will make you clean by forgiving your sins.” Remember, the Pharisees did their righteousness out in the open to be seen of men, so they would be thought of as righteous. Jesus said you must do your righteousness in secret from within, and glorify your Father in heaven by your good works. Charity covers a multitude of sins and makes you clean (1 Peter 4:8). Charity is serving the poor, the needy, the lame, the blind, the elderly, the widow and the orphan. Charity is helping those who need clothes, those who need money, those who need help, those who need love or compassion. All these things and more are covered by the word charity. What does Webster’s Dictionary have to say about charity? Webster’s New International Dictionary, 1909 says: Charity, n.;1. Christian love; of the New Testament; a. the divine love to man; b. Human love to God and one’s neighbor. Christian love of one’s fellow men; Christian benevolence; 2. More generally, love; benevolence; good will; affection; an act or feeling of affection or benevolence. 3. Liberality or lenience in judging of men and their actions; a disposition that inclines men to put the best construction on the words and actions of others. The highest exercise of charity is charity toward the uncharitable. 4. Good will to the poor and suffering; liberality to the poor, to benevolent institutions, or to worthy causes; generosity; charitableness; alms giving; hence; the public provision for the care or relief of the poor. 5. Acts or works of benevolence to the poor. 6. Whatever is bestowed gratuitously on the needy or the suffering for their relief; alms. After reading these definitions of the word charity, look up 1 Corinthians 13. In the many translations of the Bible, “love” has been corruptly substituted for the word “charity.” If you look up the Greek word translated “love” (Strong’s Concordance reference no. 26) in The Englishman’s Greek Concordance of the New Testament, you will discover it is often translated “charity” in the King James Version. A few examples are 1 Corinthians 13:1-13, Colossians 3:14, 2 Timothy 3:10 and Titus 2:2. It’s evident when you look at the dictionary definitions of charity that charity is all God ever expected from anyone who would profess His name. God would live a life full of charity if He were walking among us in the flesh today. This is how we are to live on earth and imitate Him as He lives in heaven (Eph. 5:1). This is how God’s Will is done on this earth as it is in heaven (Matt 6:10). Very simple, but simply not known, not preached, or not practiced by the majority of those who proclaim to be disciples of Jesus Christ (Luke 6:46). • Be of One Mind in Christ | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Be of One Mind in Christ God in heaven is making new creatures in Christ (Gal. 6:15). He is doing this by creating Jesus Christ’s nature in us (Gal. 4:19). In order to do this, we must undergo testing (1 Peter 5:10; 4:1, 12, 16, 19; 2 Cor. 4:10). Some tests will be more severe than others, but the Lord assures us we can handle these tests (1 Cor. 10:13). We will be tested in our morals. We will be tested in our loyalty and faithfulness. Above all, God wants us to be of one mind in Christ. In order to cause us to be of one mind, God allows Satan to stir up strife, opposition, dissension, factions, controversies, enmities, jealousy, anger and disputes among those who will give in to such things. When practiced, these evil things will keep you from inheriting the kingdom of God and eternal life (Gal. 5:19-21). God must find out who will participate in these things so He can root them up from among those He is testing (1 John 2:19; 1 Cor. 11:18-19; Jude 1:16). This is how we are perfected by God into being one-minded in Christ Jesus (Phil 1:27; 2:2). We are to separate ourselves from the world and all that entangles it (2 Cor. 6:16-18; Heb. 12:1; Rev. 18:4). God warns us not to be filled with dissipation, which is the wasteful expenditure of time, or the day of the Lord will come upon us as a trap (Luke 21:34)! We are to draw near to God and His Ways and away from the things of the world (James 4:8; John 15:19). Anything in this world that stirs up strife, confusion, factions, anger and disputes we are not to participate in as these are the deeds of the flesh (Gal. 5:19-21). We are to pursue holiness, according to God because without holiness no one will see the Lord (Heb. 12:14). We are to seek peace and pursue it earnestly (1 Pet. 3:11). We are to be wholly devoted, allowing God’s Ways to direct our lives (1 Kings 8:61; Jer. 10:23; Prov. 16:9). We are to speak as though they were the utterances of God, as we go about imitating Him (1 Pet. 4:11; Eph. 5:1). His opinion becomes our opinion, because in the end, His opinion is the only one that matters. After all, He is our Creator and knows all. We will stand before Him, and only Him, on judgement day to give an account for our lives (Rev. 20:12; Rom. 14:12). Certainly, it is possible that those who participated in dissension, factions, controversies and disputes, might later on repent. But God is not going to give eternal life to those who cause divisions and dissensions, like Satan did so many years ago (Jude 1:19). God must root them out. It is God’s way of finding out who will remain loyal to God’s Word (Prov. 21:21). Satan was not loyal to God. He thought he could do God’s job better. He found fault with the way God was doing things. He thought he knew more than His Maker and Teacher. God teaches His ministers and then sends them out saying, “The person who accepts you accepts Me” (Matt. 10:40). Jesus was accepted by few and rejected by many. The same was true of His ministers. This is a test of whether or not you will be true to God Almighty. If you reject the one God sent to tell you the truth, you have rejected Jesus Christ (Luke 10:16). This is what God’s word, which cannot lie, says! The only exception to this is if that person stops living for God and falls away from the faith (1 Cor. 11:1). People who fall away from God’s one true faith and give in to Satan, flunk the test. It’s as simple and plain as that. That’s why God’s word warns us to take notice of (mark) those who are causing divisions and avoid them (Rom. 16:17). These people deceive other people by their smooth speech and the unsuspecting, dumb or foolish ones go after them (Rom. 16:18). That’s why God’s word commands that there be no division—none, not one. God wants those who are His perfectly joined together with the very same mind—that mind which was in Jesus Christ our Lord (1 Cor. 1:10). Jesus Christ says, “Every minister which My Father did not plant or appoint will be rooted up” (Matt. 15:13-14). They will bring upon themselves swift destruction from the Lord if they don’t or won’t repent (2 Peter 2:1). Be very careful who you are listening to, be careful with what you are watching and what you devote your time to (Matt. 6:22-23; Psalm 101:3). Ask yourself, is this in agreement with God and His Ways? Does this promote holiness in my life? Be loyal, be faithful and endure to the end, loving others with one mind, one goal and one aim—to please the Lord Jesus Christ in all areas of our lives and daily walk with Him (Phil. 1:27; Eph. 4:4-6). God is not fooling around and we shouldn’t be either. Justifying one’s actions might work now, but it won’t work on judgment day. Loyalty to God’s Word and the one who preaches His truth is loyalty to God Himself (Matt. 24:45-51). Make your mind up to be of one mind with God. Imitate Him in all your ways to be pleasing to Him in all respects (2 Cor. 5:9; 3 John 1:11; John 8:29) . There is no time to lose! How to Have Your Prayers Answered One of the many blessings that comes from living the new life in Christ is answered prayer. Because we live only to please God every day by performing God’s Will in our lives, we assure our hearts before God and we can ask in prayer without doubting. We know He considers us righteous because we practice righteousness for God. And we know He hears the prayers of the righteous. Because we are seeking to please God in all our ways, we are abundantly blessed and our prayers are answered. Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life. Romans 6:4 We know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is God-fearing and does His will, He hears him. John 9:31 Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. 1 John 3:7 The Lord is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the righteous. Proverbs 15:29 "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this," says the Lord of hosts, "if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows."
