  • How to Receive Answered Prayer | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Receive Answered Prayer One of the many blessings that comes from living the new life in Christ is answered prayer (Rom. 6:4). Because we live only to please God every day by performing God’s Will in our lives, we assure our hearts before God and we can ask in prayer without doubting (John 9:31; 1 John 3:18-19; James 1:6). We know He considers us righteous because we practice righteousness for God (1 John 3:7). And we know He hears the prayers of the righteous (1 Peter 3:12; Prov. 15:29). We practice living as Jesus Christ lived and as the Father lives by keeping the sayings of Christ (1 Cor. 11:1; Eph. 5:1; John 12:47; Luke 8:21). We also control our thoughts and the words we speak so that they are pleasing to God (1 Peter 4:11). But most of all, we use the members of our bodies as instruments of righteousness (Rom. 6:13; 1 Peter 3:11-12). We practice righteousness constantly to please God and to produce good fruits for Him (1 John 2:29; 3:10; John 15:8). The good fruits we produce on our spiritual trees are good works (Col. 1:10; Matt. 3:10; 7:17-20; Phil. 1:11). By conforming to godliness and by practicing righteousness, we allow God the Father to reveal His Son Jesus Christ in us (John 14:23; Gal. 1:16; 4:19). Keeping the commandments of Jesus Christ is not grievous, but very enjoyable (1 John 5:3; Matt. 11:30). It is the peaceful way that God created us to live (Jer. 10:23; Prov. 16:3; 20:24; Heb. 10:20, 24). We are at peace with ourselves because we are at peace with our Maker (John 17:13; 2 Thess. 3:16; Phil. 4:7). All we must do now is endure to the end (Matt. 10:22; 24:13; Rev. 2:26). We must remain loyal to God by remaining diligent and continuing to persevere in righteousness (Luke 21:19; Rev. 2:2-3, 19; Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13; Heb. 12:3). We have a purpose in life. We have found that purpose. We now know how to please God and complete our purpose by conforming our lives to His Way of life (1 Tim. 4:7; 6:3). Because we are seeking to please God in all our ways, we are abundantly blessed and our prayers are answered (Matt. 6:33; John 10:10; Mal. 3:10). • The New Covenant Spirit | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search The New Covenant Spirit "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength" (Mark 12:30). This means that you shall serve only Him, love only Him, obey only Him, please only Him, worship only Him, glorify only Him, and do only His Will. This means you shall only do those things that are pleasing in His sight (John 8:29; 2 Cor. 5:9). You shall do well, practice righteousness and patience toward others, and continually do acts of kindness and charity (Matt. 5:16; 1 John 4:7). This means you must put up with the short-comings of others, forgive everyone their trespasses against you daily, and practice all the fruits of the Spirit (Matt. 6:14; Gal. 5:22-23). You are to always be in a joyful mood and make every day a day you live for God. Then, when it is God’s day, it will be a good day. Are all of your ways pleasing to God today? Are you going to please Him in all things or some things? Pleasing God in all things is being single-minded, not double-minded (James 1:6, 8). Are you going to do only God’s Will today, or a little bit of Satan’s too, by living to please the flesh? Are you bringing all your ways into subjection to Christ (2 Cor. 10:5)? Are you doing what Christ would have you do, or are you holding out a little? Is your heart pure before God, or partially pure? Are you off to a physical start each day, or are you off to a spiritual start by studying God’s word? Do you think of pleasing God all day, or do you even think about Him at all? What do you think about the most each day? Do you give God all of your troubles, or do you try to solve them yourself without His help (1 Peter 5:7)? Are you still trying to do God’s job of converting your spouse (1 Peter 3:1)? Who do you think you are - God? Remember, God is the only one who can convert or change any person. He is the one who causes the growth (1 Cor. 3:7). We should teach by our example. Then we know that we have the log out of our own eye and are ready to give a good answer when asked (Matt. 7:3-5; 2 Tim. 2:15). Many religious people are trying to convert the world to their beliefs when they are still unconverted before God themselves. We are to love the Lord wholeheartedly and we are to love our neighbor as ourselves (Mark 12:31). When we wholeheartedly serve others for the Lord, we are wholeheartedly serving the Lord (Matt 25:40). We cannot do one without doing the other, and when we do both, we are keeping the commandments in the New Covenant spirit. • The Last Days | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search The Last Days There are many Scriptures in God’s word that refer to the “last days.” Is it possible to know when these days will occur? Would God, who is all-knowing and who knows the beginning from the end, leave His people—His chosen ones—in ignorance, whomever they may be? Or would He tell them about the last days so that they could be spiritually prepared for what is soon to come (Amos 3:7; John 16:13)? In the last days, some people will mock and scoff at the truth because they have no intention of living or even beginning to live a holy life for the Lord (Psalm 53:1). The Bible also says that people will return to the Lord in the latter days (last days) and listen to His voice (God’s word) when the distress of the last days comes upon them (Deut. 4:29-31). He also mentions what will happen to Jacob’s people (the 12 tribes of Israel) in the last days (Gen. 49:1). Among other things, Jesus prophesied that the coming of the Son of Man would be like the days of Noah (Matt. 24:37). What were those days like? The earth was corrupt in God’s sight; the earth was filled with violence (Gen. 6:11). The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of man’s heart was evil (selfish) continually (Gen. 6:5). Noah alone was found to be righteous (caring) at that time (Gen. 7:1). To live a holy life, we must change. The old life must die (Rom. 8:13; Gal. 5:24). We must grow in Christ, clothe ourselves with Christ and live as Jesus Christ gave us example to live. We must become doers of God’s word (James 1:22). We cannot do God’s word and live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord, unless we study His word continually to show ourselves approved to God (2 Tim. 2:15, King James Version). We are not to remain fools in regard to what God’s Will is (Eph. 5:17; Rom. 12:2). We are to do God’s Will daily in every facet of our lives with all our heart, mind, soul and strength (Luke 10:27; Jer. 10:23; Matt. 7:21; 6:10; Luke 8:21; 1 Peter 2:14; 4:2-6). God is distinguishing between the sheep (the doers of God’s word) and the goats (those who know they should be doing good, but won’t start) (Jer. 16:12; Matt. 25:33-46). The good fish are now being sorted in the net. God is now determining who will serve Him by serving others and who will not (Mal. 3:18). He is recording the names of those who become doers of the Lord’s word (Ex. 32:33; Rev. 3:5). He is also recording names of all those who started to live the holy life but lost interest and fell away (Jer. 17:13). Jesus’ words, which He spoke to the world, will judge us when He returns (John 12:47-50). Did we keep His words and, by doing so, do the Will of the Father (John 8:51; Matt. 7:21; 1 John 2:17)? Or did we just read His word (James 1:22; Acts 3:23). Now all we are waiting for is the Lord to say, “On with the show.” Then He will fulfill all of His end-time prophesies. Are you ready? Are you getting ready? Or will you fulfill the Scriptures of those who won’t believe, those who mock God’s word and His truth? We all are fulfilling Scripture daily. The wicked are fulfilling the Scriptures of the wicked and the righteous are fulfilling the Scriptures of the righteous. Study God’s word daily by subject so that you will fulfill the right Scriptures, and do God’s Will daily as well (Rom. 12:2; Prov. 14:9; 2 Peter 3:3; Jude 18-21). • Those Who Do Good | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Those Who Do Good The word of God says the person who does good is of God (3 John 11). Why is this so? God is good (Mark 10:18). Why? Because God does good. Even the word "good" comes from the word "God." What would conditions be like if we had a God who just thought beautiful thoughts about doing good, but never acted on those thoughts? We wouldn't be here. Nothing good would be done. We would have a good-for-nothing God and this is impossible. If you want to be like God and be considered good, you must manifest your good thoughts through good actions. If doing what is evil is bad, is doing what is good, good? If doing what is bad is considered lawlessness, disobedience, unbelief, unfaithfulness, unworthiness and disbelief, would doing good turn all these negative words around? Isn't that a result of positive action? Can you begin to see this is what it means to repent? Can you see that all those who will not repent by turning their actions around and making them good, should, will, and must perish from the earth (Matt 3:10)? Can you see that doing good is all the Lord expects from us for repentance? Can you also see that's all a loving father would expect and want from his loving children? Can you understand that when children do what is right in the sight of their father, they are showing their father love by their actions and they are accepted by him (Acts 10:34-35)? Can you see why God's true message is a message to children? Can you see that unless you become like a little child before your heavenly Father, you won't become converted, and you will not be reconciled to Him and enter the kingdom of heaven (Matt. 18:3-5)? This is why only those who do good are of God (3 John 11). PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • How Do We Seek Peace and Pursue It? | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How Do We Seek Peace and Pursue It? Disciples of Jesus Christ must seek peace and pursue it earnestly in order to enter the peace of Christ (1 Peter 3:11). The Bible says we are to think about whatever is good, peaceful and of good report (Phil. 4:8-9). If all you said was continually a blessing to the hearer, and you blessed those who cursed you, and if all the words that came out of your mouth were as the words of God, and all the thoughts you thought were happy thoughts, this would be most pleasing to the Lord (1 Peter 4:11; Eph. 4:29). "The cheerful heart has a continual feast" (Prov. 15:15). A disciple of Jesus Christ has the most for which to be thankful. He has eternal life and he receives answered prayers (John 6:47; 1 John 3:15, 22). His life is abundant, peaceful and joyous (Prov. 13:21). If he has any anxious thoughts, he does not dwell on them or worry. He just gives them to Christ, as he is commanded to do (1 Peter 5:7). What are some of the things in this world that can rob us of being cheerful, and would grieve the Spirit of God and take our peace (Eph. 5:10-11)? How about violence on television, violence in sports or violence in the news? Even negative weather reports take our peace. For the most part, we cannot change these things, but there is something we can change. We can change ourselves with God’s help! Do not be concerned about the way the world is going. Rather, be concerned about the way you are going. Make sure it is pleasing to the Lord. Remember, we have God’s protection in all things when we are living to please only Him (Job 5:20-27; Is. 3:10; Prov. 10:3). So let us consider those things that are violent, distasteful and rob us of our peace, and control what goes into our minds (Is. 33:15-16)! • Finding Inner Strength | WHOLE WHEAT

Finding Inner Strength When we read about early disciples of Jesus Christ and the trials and tortures they went through, we realize they had to have inner strength to endure to the end. What is this mysterious inner strength and where does it come from? Most importantly, how do we obtain it? We must look into God’s Word to find out how to have inner strength. We are to cast all our anxieties, our troubled thoughts, our problems and our frustrations on God, and He will take them from us. There is no more condemnation for us (feeling bad about ourselves or our shortcomings) when we are living the way Jesus Christ showed us to live daily. How many people cast all their anxieties, troubles and woes on Jesus Christ, and experience the inner strength that comes from God by doing so? Remember, God does not hear sinners, but only those who show Him respect by doing His Will daily on this earth as it is being done in heaven. So let’s live for God and then trust in Him for the inner strength that cannot fail. We know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is God-fearing and does His will, He hears him. John 9:31 Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth. 19 We will know by this that we are of the truth, and will assure our heart before Him 20 in whatever our heart condemns us; for God is greater than our heart and knows all things. 21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God. 1 John 3:18-21 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. • God's Judgment on a Nation | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search God's Judgment on a Nation When God pronounces judgment on a nation through a prophet, there is a space of time given in which the people are allowed to repent. First, they must hear what they are doing wrong (Ezek. 3:17-19, 21). Then, they must be told how to repent by doing what is right. Notice that after Daniel told Nebuchadnezzar how to repent, 12 months went by before the curse announced by the angel of God came to pass (Dan. 4:27, 29, 37). The Apostle Peter describes the repentant life saying, cease to do evil, learn to do good (1 Peter 3:8-12; Is. 1:16-17). If the people were practicing wickedness, they had to stop doing those things and start practicing righteousness for God. If the people were using their bodies to do evil, they were told to begin to use their bodies to do good (Rom. 6:13; 12:1, 21). When the King of Nineveh heard of impending judgment on his city, he issued a proclamation that all the people, herds and flocks should fast from eating food and drinking water. Then, he commanded all his people to cease from sinning, to cease from all forms of wickedness and violence. When God saw their deeds, that they had turned from their wicked ways, He did not do what He had declared He would do to them (Jonah 3:6-10). The word of God says there is only one way to repent and turn from your wicked ways and that is by doing good deeds for God (Acts 26:20). That is how you turn away from your evil ways (Job 1:1; 2:3). It is the only Way! It is the narrow Way that few find (Matt. 7:14). It is ridiculous to think that a person can repent by doing nothing, as millions are erroneously being taught today. You cannot repent by living a life of doing nothing for your Savior, Jesus Christ. God says doers of the word are the only ones who are justified among those who call themselves followers of Jesus Christ (James 2:24). Now is the time to repent before God so that when God brings this nation into judgment for its sins, you will not be part of that judgment. God is going to send curses upon the whole world to test the people of the world (Rev. 3:10). He is going to determine who the righteous and the wicked will be (Mal. 3:18). He wants to know who will be the sheep and serve others by doing good for God, and who will be the goats because they refuse to repent and do good for God (Matt. 25: 33, 40, 46). • The Message of the Prophets | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search The Message of the Prophets The message of the prophets down through the ages was, "Repent! Repent, or you will all likewise perish!" (Matt. 3:2; 4:17; Luke 13:3, 5). Wouldn't it be something if that was the end of their message from God? No one would know how to repent. Some would think it meant cry aloud the words, "I repent! I repent!" and that would be it. Others would say the sinner's prayer and that would be the end of their repentance. They would say they gave their heart to the Lord or let Jesus into their heart. What was the whole message of the prophets (Acts 5:20)? How did the messengers from God tell people they were to repent? Daniel told King Nebuchadnezzar how to repent saying, "Break away now from your sins by doing acts of righteousness, and from all your sinful ways by showing mercy to the poor" (Dan. 4:27). Isaiah said, "Cease to do evil by learning to do good. Seek to be just in all your ways, and correct those who are evil. Help orphans and serve widows who are in need. If you consent and obey, you will be blessed in the land and though your sins are as red as scarlet, they will be as white as snow. Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your deeds from My sight" (Is. 1:16-20). Zephaniah told those who would repent, "Seek the Lord, all you humble of the earth, who have carried out His ordinances. Seek to be righteous and stay humble. Perhaps you will be hidden in the day of the Lord's anger" (Zeph. 2:3). Amos, the prophet, said, "Seek good and not evil, that you may live and not perish, and God will be with you. Hate evil, love what is good and establish true justice in your courts. Perhaps the Lord God of hosts will be gracious to you and you won't perish" (Amos 5:14-15). The inhabitants of the world must learn righteousness. Though the wicked is shown favor, he does not learn righteousness (Is. 26:9-10). God wants us to repent and learn righteousness by serving others and living a life of doing good. He wants us to stop doing evil and only do good. He wants us to live according to His Ways, which are pure, good and unselfish. Yes, the message of the prophets of old was, "Repent, or you will perish" (Luke 13:3, 5). This was Jesus Christ's message, and it is the message for us today. PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • We are the Church | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search We are the Church Today, religions by the thousands claim they are imitating the New Testament church of the Bible. But are they? How could they be? They are all different, aren’t they? Where is the church that Jesus Christ said the gates of hell would not prevail against? Where is the church to which the Apostle Peter was given the keys, and that Jesus Himself heads (Eph. 5:23; Col. 1:18)? Jesus told the Samaritan woman we were not going to be required to worship God in a certain location and that temple-type worship or building-type worship was coming to an end (John 4:21). Jesus said His true disciples would, instead, worship the Father in spirit and in truth (John 4:23). God is spirit and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth (John 4:24). What does this mean? If we all knew, we would be of one mind, one faith and one baptism. In Philippians 3:3 it says, “We are the true circumcision (true disciples of Jesus Christ) who worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh.” Still confused? Turn to Romans 12:1 where it says our bodies are our spiritual service of worship. We are to transform and renew our minds by performing God’s Will on earth daily as it is done in heaven (Rom. 12:2). We are to worship God by doing good and sharing (Heb. 13:16, 21). We are to persevere in doing good, using our bodies as instruments of righteousness (Rom. 2:7; 6:13, 18-19). If we, by the Spirit, are putting to death the evil deeds of the flesh, overcoming our evil natures by doing good, and resisting evil by not getting weary in doing good for others, we are allowing God to crush Satan under our heel (Rom. 16:20; 8:13; 12:21; 1 Peter 3:11, 13; Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13). We must be careful to engage in good works, glorifying God in Christ’s name (Titus 3:8; Matt. 5:16; Col. 3:17). We must overcome our evil nature by keeping Jesus Christ’s works. When we do these things we are worshiping God in spirit and in truth, the Way He now requires us to worship Him. We are the church. We can worship Him anywhere we find ourselves. However, if we are worthless for good works, we are worshiping God in vain and by our deeds we deny Him (Titus 1:16; Mark 7:7). Let’s do more than profess we know Him – let’s show Him! • Living to the Spirit | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Living to the Spirit A disciple of Jesus Christ, after baptism, is to live to the Spirit in order to please God. How is this done? Before you became a disciple of Jesus Christ, you were by nature living to the flesh. That means that you were thinking your own thoughts and saying your own words. You were directing your own steps and living the way you thought was best. Now you have agreed to live your life to please God, like our example Jesus Christ did. Living to the Spirit is living to please the Father, who gives His Spirit to those who obey Him (Acts 5:32). What does the Father want us to do in order to live to the Spirit? He wants us to glorify Him by doing good works (Eph. 2:10; Matt. 5:16). Why is doing good works so important? Doing good works is how we produce good fruits on our spiritual trees, and how we build godly character (Matt. 3:10). The Father does good works, and we are to imitate Him (Eph. 5:1; 1 Cor. 11:1; 1 John 2:6; 3 John 11; 1 Peter 2:21). Doing good works allows a disciple of Christ to be blessed (Mal. 3:10). Good works was the main ingredient in the process by which Jesus overcame, and Jesus said many of those who followed Him would do greater good works than He did (John 14:12). Doing good works is how we overcome evil and how we learn to be servants of others for the glory of God. Doing good works is how we discipline ourselves for the purpose of godliness (1 Tim. 4:7). Doing the works that Jesus Christ did is how we overcome and how we receive a new heart (Rev. 2:26). When we overcome our old nature, we enter the kingdom of God or God’s rest (Heb. 4:10; Rev. 3:21). Then our joy is made full and we have an abundant life (John 10:10). When all we sow is righteousness, like Christ our example, then all we reap is blessings. Then we are truly living to the Spirit. Many people believe we live this way naturally after accepting Jesus Christ as our personal Savior. Scripture shows clearly that this is a false conception. Look at the world. It is a mess! Many people who claim to be Christians are practicing a faith without good works. As a result, they remain spiritually dead in their faith (James 2:14-26). They are becoming religious, but not holy; and without holiness, no one will see the Lord (Heb. 12:14, King James Version). We cannot possibly be holy without obeying and practicing the words of Jesus Christ each day (John 8:51; Luke 6:46). This takes godly discipline, but just remember, it is easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30). It is wonderful. Try it! You will love it and the Lord will love you too. • Faith Without Works is Dead | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Faith Without Works is Dead Faith without works is dead (James 2:26). Sure enough, the faith that Jesus expects of His true followers includes good works, as He Himself gave us example to do (John 10:32). Jesus even stated that many of His followers would do greater works than He did (John 14:12). Remember also that God in heaven is glorified by good works done for repentance, spiritual growth and blessings, and this is how true disciples let their lights shine before others (Matt. 5:16). Doing good works is how we imitate Jesus Christ, and how we overcome evil. It is the key that allows Jesus to reside in us and live His life through us in the form of the Holy Spirit (John 14:23). God’s Will in heaven is good works of love and charity (Matt. 6:10). It’s certainly not bad works. A life of good works is the life true followers are called to live (Eph. 2:10). We are not saved by good works, but we repent by doing good for God in Jesus Christ’s name (Acts 26:20; Col. 3:17). No one can deny that. What kind of good works should we do? Keep up our personal appearance and hygiene for God so that we can be godly examples to others (Titus 2:7-8). Keep our homes or apartments neat and clean for God to be good examples to others when we entertain or show hospitality (Luke 14:13). Help or do good to an orphan or a widow for God (James 1:27). These are just some of the many examples we can find in the Bible. Practice doing good continually for others for God. Perform deeds of kindness, deeds of charity, and deeds of good will, like Jesus left us example to do. If we are constantly concerned about doing good for God, then we are leaving a life of evil behind (Job 1:1). By not giving ourselves a moment to do what is evil, we can overcome evil by doing good so we will abide forever (Psalm 37:27; Rom. 12:21; 1 Peter 3:10-11; 3 John 11). When we are zealous for good works, we purify our lives before God, and our faith is not dead but alive in righteousness (Titus 2:14; James 2:14, 26; Heb. 10:20; Rom. 6:18; 8:10; 1 Peter 2:24). Truly Believing in God On the surface, it looks as though all you have to say is, “I believe,” and you will be saved. But notice, the apostles taught the people all the things they were commanded to teach and observe. For three years, Christ taught them what they should teach and taught them how to be teachers. The apostles were taught that to believe is to obey. The apostles were also taught how to obey. You must keep Christ’s words in order to never see death, Jesus says. His words are not hard to keep or burdensome. “If you believe in Me, the works that I do you shall do also,” Jesus said. What kind of works did Jesus do? He did good works and He instructed His disciples to do the same. Yes, doing good works is how you glorify the Father. The Bible says that the devil and his demons believe, but they do not obey. They are not doers of the word, but merely hearers who remain deluded. So, to say you believe, is to say you obey and are doing the deeds that Jesus did by serving others daily for the glory of God. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16 Teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Matthew 28:20 A pupil is not above his teacher; but everyone, after he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher. Luke 6:40 He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him. John 3:36 Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he will never see death. John 8:51 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome. 1 John 5:3 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. John 14:12 Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:16 You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder. 22 You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected. • Learning to Live to the Spirit | WHOLE WHEAT

Learning to Live to the Spirit A disciple of Jesus Christ, after baptism, is to live to the Spirit in order to please God. Living to the Spirit is living to please the Father, who gives His Spirit to those who obey Him. What does the Father want us to do in order to live to the Spirit? He wants us to glorify Him by doing good works. Many people believe we live this way naturally after accepting Jesus Christ as our personal Savior. Scripture shows clearly that this is a false conception. Look at the world. It is a mess! Many people who claim to be Christians are practicing a faith without good works. As a result, they remain spiritually dead in their faith. They are becoming religious, but not holy; and without holiness, no one will see the Lord. We cannot possibly be holy without obeying and practicing the words of Jesus Christ each day. This takes godly discipline, but just remember, it is easy and pleasant. It is wonderful. Try it! You will love it and the Lord will love you too. And we are witnesses of these things; and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him. Acts 5:32 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. Ephesians 2:10 What use is it, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but he has no works? Can that faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that? 17 Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself. 18 But someone may well say, “You have faith and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” 19 You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder. 20 But are you willing to recognize, you foolish fellow, that faith without works is useless? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up Isaac his son on the altar? 22 You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected; 23 and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness,” and he was called the friend of God. 24 You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone. 25 In the same way, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way? 26 For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead. James 2:14-26 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord. Hebrews 12:14 (KJV) Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? • Are You a Servant of God? | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Are You a Servant of God? A servant of God does not live to please self but to please only God, as Jesus Christ did (Rom. 15:1-3; Phil. 2:7-8; Matt. 20:26-28). A servant of God is one who serves others in need, for God, and in so doing, imitates God daily (Matt. 19:21; Col. 3:17; 1 John 3:17-18; Luke 6:36; Eph. 5:1). God is glorified by good works done for His glory. This is how you let your light shine (Matt. 5:16). People notice you because you are so peculiar and unusual (Titus 2:14; 1 Peter 1:12)! A servant of God does not serve the flesh (Rom. 6:4-13). God’s servant lives to the Spirit daily and thus puts the evil desires of the flesh to death (Gal. 5:16, 19-21; 1 Peter 3:18; Rom. 8:12-14). God is the Spirit, and constantly living to please God by serving others is how you worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24). A true servant of God visits people in hospitals and gives clothing to those he knows need it. He is always ready to help those who are needy. He helps those who need food by providing what they need (Eph. 4:28). If anyone needs lodging, God’s servant takes care of the need (Matt. 25:33-40). God’s servant has a humble attitude when serving these people, as Abraham and Lot did (Gen. 17:3; 18:2). A servant of God lifts people’s spirits with his words of love, hope and joy (Heb. 10:24; 1 Thess. 5:11; Eph. 4:29). A servant of God spreads good will with his words. A servant of God does all his good works in the name of Jesus Christ, as he has been commanded to do by Jesus Christ (Col. 3:17). A servant of God keeps God’s word by practicing righteousness (1 John 3:7; 2:29). This is how he practices his faith, and it works because it is a faith of works (James 2:14-26). The person who does not practice righteousness daily is not a servant of God (Rom. 10:5-6, 10; 1 John 3:10). Are you a servant of God as defined by God’s word? Will you become one? • A New Creation | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search A New Creation God wants us to be new creations or new creatures (Gal. 6:15). To do this, we must die to sin and live to righteousness (Rom. 6:2). This is a daily process of dying to self by denying the evil desires of our hearts (1 Cor. 15:31; Luke 9:23). True disciples of Jesus Christ, who have received the true message of conversion, live a new life in Christ (Rom. 6:4). We are no longer to be slaves of sin but we are to consider our old lives as dead to sin and alive to God in Jesus Christ (Rom. 6:6, 11). We are to live for God daily instead of ourselves (Rom. 6:10). We are to use the members of our bodies as instruments of righteousness to God by being careful to engage in good works daily (Rom. 6:13; Titus 3:8). We are to learn to engage in good works because this is righteousness to God and He is glorified by good works done daily in His name (Is. 1:16-17; Titus 3:14; Matt. 5:16). We become happy slaves of Jesus Christ, constantly doing the Will of God - which is righteous good works - from the heart (Rom. 6:17-19; Eph. 6:6). Why are true disciples so zealous in doing good works daily? They know that they overcome their evil natures by doing good (Rom. 12:21; 2:7). They know this is how they resist evil daily (2 Tim. 2:26). They overcome Satan’s will by doing God’s Will daily on earth as it is being done in heaven (Matt. 6:10). They know their righteousness must eventually come from their hearts or they will not receive the new nature and have Christ formed in them (Gal. 4:19). They know that without righteousness, they cannot enter the kingdom within (Matt. 5:20; 6:1; 7:21; Luke 17:21). They know this is the doctrine that conforms them to godliness, and so they discipline themselves daily for the purpose of godliness by practicing righteousness for God in Jesus’ name (1 Tim. 6:3; 4:7; Titus 1:1; 1 John 3:7, 10, 18; Col. 3:17). Since this Way is so easy and pleasant, we really have no excuse to continue sinning (Matt. 11:30; John 15:22). Living God’s Way of life is how our joy is made full and how we instantly become friends of God (John 15:11, 14). This is how we have an abundant life (John 10:10). Practicing righteousness for God daily is how we seek first the kingdom of God; and then God adds all good things to us - food, clothes and all the desires of our hearts (Matt. 6:31, 33). If you have not yet started practicing righteousness for God daily, what is holding you back? Satan’s nature? Resist Satan and by doing so, show God you love Him more. Bear fruit for God and prove to be His disciple (John 15:8; Col. 1:10). Remember, God wants a new you, a new creation, which comes from living a new Way of life - the Way of righteousness (Gal. 6:9, 15; Matt. 21:32; 2 Peter 2:21). • How Can I Be a Better Person? | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How Can I Be a Better Person? Written by our Founder I can be a better person by asking God to discipline me for the purpose of godliness (1 Tim. 4:7). When God disciplines me, I know He loves me. This is an awesome truth that not many understand. Let's look at Hebrews 12:5-10—“My son (or daughter), do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor faint when you are reproved by Him; for those whom the Lord loves, He disciplines... it is for discipline that you (and I) endure... Without discipline we are illegitimate children (not God's, but Satan's). Be subject (serve and love others in the name of Jesus) to the Father of spirits (Lord of heaven and earth over all of us including Satan and his angels) and live. God disciplines us for our good that we may share in His holiness.” Isn't that fantastic? That's my goal. I am severely reproved by the Lord, because He knows I can handle it. It's tough love from God, Himself, but so, so necessary to become a better person. All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful. Yet those who have been trained by it know that afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness (Heb. 12:11). Hebrews 12:12-15 tells us how to walk in that righteousness—help the elderly, lame, and anyone in need. The thought is climaxed when God says don't come short of the grace of God. This shows that the righteousness performed in Jesus’ name, especially for the elderly, lame, blind, needy, orphans, and widows, is imperative to sharing in His holiness (James 1:27; Heb. 12:10). The following Scripture portion is so comforting to me, that when God reproves and disciplines me, I better understand what's happening and therefore handle each test, trial and disciplinary action God allows so much better. Let's look at 1 Peter 4:1: First: Christ had to suffer in the flesh (the physical state we are in now). Second: We must arm ourselves (be prepared) for the same purpose. Third: Those who have suffered in the flesh have ceased from sin (sin has been crushed in their bodies). Hurrah! Hurrah! My goal in this life is to become a better person by ceasing from sin and living like my Brother, Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 4:8 says, "Keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins." There are so many neat promises from God, aren’t there? Now for a final Scripture, look in 1 Peter 4:19: "Let those who suffer according to the Will of God entrust their souls to a faithful Creator in doing what is right (practice righteousness)." Thank you, Lord, for Your special Ways that bring us into Your presence and subjection, making us useful vessels in Your service. I know that the discipline for the moment is not joyful but sorrowful, and I need Your strength Lord, to make it. I must think positive and know that Your discipline will produce godly character and the peaceful fruit of righteousness, so that I can share in Your holiness. My goal is to become like You, Lord, and reap eternal life. PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • God’s Best Example | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search God’s Best Example As followers of Jesus Christ, we are to be representatives of God’s kingdom on this earth. We are to let happiness, love, joy and a unique stability of mind permeate our presence. We have eternal life and we know it because we live by God’s Ways. Jesus Christ says He is eternal life and everyone who lives as He lived—glorifying the Father with good works, enduring to the end and continuing to keep his old nature under control—will receive eternal life (Rom. 16:19-20). God crushes our old nature as we continue overcoming our evil nature by doing good (Rom. 12:21). That is what it means to repent. We should strive to control our thinking so that we think only what is pure and lovely. We should seek peace and pursue it earnestly (Psalm 34:14). We must practice making the words that come out of our mouths as if they were the words of God (1 Peter 4:11). We should pursue, hunger, and thirst for righteousness so that Christ’s nature can be formed in us (Matt. 5:6; Gal. 4:19). We mustn’t let anything stop us from receiving that new nature and pressing on to perfection. Jesus emphasized the fact that nothing should stop us in the process of receiving our new nature (Phil. 3:14; Luke 21:19). Jesus used a severe parable saying, “If your eye offends thee, pluck it out” (Matt. 18:9). In other words, we are not to let anything stop us from achieving our goal, which is godliness. We must strive to be godly examples to others in thought, word and deed, like Christ (Col. 3:17). We must not do anything to make a brother stumble who has found the Way—the holy Way that the unclean are not permitted to travel (Rev. 21:8). So keep your conduct holy, pure and blameless in all things. Always remember Paul’s words, “Follow me as I follow Christ.” Are you ready to have others follow you, yet (1 Cor. 11:1)? • Leaning on God's Wisdom Not Man's | WHOLE WHEAT

Leaning on God's Wisdom Not Man's "This is pure and undefiled religion, to visit the widows and the orphans in their distress, and to keep oneself unspotted by the world." The people of this world are concerned about the things of this world. They are concerned about food, clothing and shelter. They are concerned about bigger homes, stock markets and the price of gold. They are concerned about what they read in the newspaper and what the weather is going to be from day to day. Most people worry about this and that, while the person who loves God has no such concerns. He knows that the Father will take care of all his needs because he has sought the kingdom first by subjecting himself to the righteousness of God, as Jesus Christ did. He knows the world is going the wrong way, but feels wonderful because he knows he is going the right way – God’s Way. He has been saved from this perverse generation. He is in God’s care now. He knows that if he lives to serve only God, as Jesus did, he will end up where Jesus is - with a new body that cannot die. He does not live for self any longer, but he lives totally for God by serving others. Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world. James 1:27 For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Matthew 6:25 And the one on whom seed was sown among the thorns, this is the man who hears the word, and the worry of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. Matthew 13:22 As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance. 1 Peter 1:14 Brethren, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God for them is for their salvation. 2 For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge. 3 For not knowing about God’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God. Romans 10:1-3 And with many other words he solemnly testified and kept on exhorting them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation!” Acts 2:40 Then Jesus said to him, “Go, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.’" Matthew 4:10 Let no one seek his own good, but that of his neighbor. 1 Corinthians 10:24 PREV NEXT Click below for full Bible Study: What is Worldly is Not Godly

wholewheatonline.com Search When Will The End of the World Come? The world itself will not end but will be renewed and remade. In fact, there is also going to be a new heaven according to Revelation 21:1-2. Many people refer to 2 Peter 3:10, where many translations say it will be burned up, whereas other translations render the word discovered (see footnote in your Bible). Now consider this: Jesus Christ must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet (1 Cor. 15:25-26). The last enemy that will be abolished is death. Revelation 20:14 says, “And death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire.” The reward of the saved is co-rulership with Jesus Christ (Rev. 2:26). We will be kings and priests and reign on this earth. If the world is going to be totally destroyed, then God’s plan for redeeming lost sinners would be destroyed. The word of God states, “…world without end” (Is. 45:17, King James Version). There is only one condition in which the Lord would utterly destroy the world. Malachi 4:5-6 says if Elijah does not come before the great and terrible day of the Lord at the end of the age, the land will be cursed. Elijah’s message will restore broken families and establish the husband and father as head of the family. Children will once again respect their fathers in a godly way. Otherwise, God will smite this earth with a curse and the word curse should be translated “utter destruction.” PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • Deception | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Deception Deception is defined as the act of causing someone to accept as true or valid, that which is false or invalid. It comes in many forms and we should continually be aware, when we are striving to live for God by the truth of His Word. Revelations 12:9 tells us that Satan is deceiving the whole world. Even Simon Peter was sifted as wheat, by Satan, as it talks about in Luke 22:31. He doesn’t want anyone to overcome evil (Satan) by continually doing good for God. Anyone who does overcome is imitating Jesus Christ, and Satan loses another subject in his kingdom (Psalm 37:27; Rom. 12:21). 2 Peter 1:10-11 says; Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble; for in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you. Jesus warns all His followers in the last days to be careful and not be religiously misled (Matt. 24:5, 24; Luke 21:8). How will you know, and how can you be sure when you are being deceived? What does God’s word say? In order to have a better understanding of the Bible, we should approach it as a lawyer by proving all things with Scripture (Acts 17:11). In Matthew 24, Jesus was asked by His disciples what would happen at the end of the age of man’s rule on this earth. The first subject Jesus addressed in Matthew 24 concerned those who would come preaching in His name (Matt. 24:5). They would deceive and mislead many from the narrow Way that only very few find (Matt. 7:14). Religious deception, then, must be the number one obstacle to finding the truth of God. Matthew 24:11 says; Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. How can one know for certain that the person he is listening to knows the truth, instead of religious lies and half-truths? Jesus said we would know them by their good deeds or fruits (Col. 1:10; Matt. 7:20). God’s true ministers must preach the obedience that is a part of the faith of Jesus Christ (Acts 6:7). Only through this obedience are one's sins covered by the blood of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:2). You must walk in the light to have your sins covered by the blood of Jesus Christ (1 John 1:7). There is one faith, one truth and it must be practiced daily (1 John 1:6; John 3:21). That truth is the Way of righteousness—the Way that Jesus Christ lived and we are to imitate (Matt. 21:32). Jesus not only came to show us how to live to please the Father, He also told us how to live by His very own words. He commanded us to glorify the Father daily by doing righteous good works and thus, let our lights shine before others as godly examples of righteousness (Matt. 5:16). Jesus said that many who would follow Him would do more good works than He did (John 14:12). This is how you learn righteousness—by engaging in it daily like Jesus Christ our example did (Jer. 9:24). Consider the momentous impact that Jesus’ words and actions had on those who observed Him and heard Him speak daily. Consider the effect the apostles had on society at large, and how they were hated by many of the established religions of their day—members of religions who claimed they worshiped God in the right manner. Many do not realize that there were many false churches preaching in the name of Jesus Christ in Jesus’ day (Acts 19:13; Luke 9:49; Matt. 7:22-23). At one time, Jesus had more than 80 disciples who were following Him; including the original twelve apostles. Later, most of them left and only the original twelve remained (Luke 6:13; Luke 10:1; John 6:66-68). Could those who fell away from Jesus Christ have started their own groups or churches? This, of course, would be very feasible. What, then, was Jesus Christ’s advice to those who would seek Him and His truth from His word at the end of the age of man’s rule on earth? Jesus said boldly, “DO NOT GO AFTER THOSE who come preaching in My name” (Luke 21:8). How, then, is one to seek God? One seeks God by diligently studying (not just reading) the Scriptures to find out what kind of conduct pleases God (2 Tim. 2:15 King James Version). We are not to remain fools but understand what God’s Will is. Once we know what God's Will is, He desires that we perform it daily to be pleasing to Him (Eph. 5:17; John 5:30; 7:17; 8:29; 1 John 3:22). It is a fact that one is either pleasing, and serving, God daily by doing His Will or one is pleasing, and serving, Satan daily by not doing it (Matt. 6:24). In Matthew 6:10 we are told to do God’s Will upon this earth daily as it is being done in heaven by God, if we are to be pleasing to Him. It then behooves us to know what that Will is, and to know it well, so that we can walk the straight and narrow Way every day to please Him. God is once again going to determine who the righteous are and who the wicked are, who will become sheep and who will remain goats, who will become whole wheat and who will remain tares (Mal. 3:18; Matt. 25:33-46; 13:24-30, Rev. 22:12). God wants to know who will be a servant of others for Him, like Jesus Christ and Dorcas were (Acts 9:36). This is how to be a doer of the word, be holy by living holy and no longer be religiously deceived (James 1:22). Satan is used by God in heaven to test humans to see whether they will allow themselves to be deceived. God wants to see who is going to receive a love for His truth so as to be saved, and who is not. God wants to find out who could care less. 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 says; And with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness. These people are the wicked, that God must sort out before He returns to make a world where only righteousness dwells (Mal. 3:18). This is that great test God is going to bring upon the whole world (Rev. 3:10). Jesus said it is very important for a person to follow Him and not get sidetracked. He especially warns us about those that stray from His truth and message in 2 Timothy 4:3-4; For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths. He warns us in Romans 16:17 as well; Now I urge you, brethren, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them. Look up in your dictionary what it means to 'turn away' and its synonyms. God is very serious about this (2 Thess. 3:6; 1 Cor. 15:33; Prov. 12:26). He used the example of one disciple who wanted to go bury his father, warning us not to let earthly distractions keep us from obeying and doing God’s Will above everything else (Matt. 8:21-22). Deuteronomy 30:17-18 says; But if your heart turns away and you will not obey, but are drawn away and worship other gods and serve them, I declare to you today that you shall surely perish. Jesus says that if you do not continue to follow Him because you love your friends, relatives, children or husband more than God are not worthy of eternal life (Matt. 10:37). This is one of the biggest tests that a few may experience. The Bible is full of examples of another kind of deception; when we are deceived by our own human nature. It is usually because of strife, bitterness, envy, jealousy, competitiveness or an unforgiving spirit (Gal. 5:20-26). These attributes are not from God, but from the devil and we should watch out for them. They are of the flesh and not from God’s Holy Spirit (Rom. 8:6; Gal. 5:16). Hebrews 12:15 warns us; See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled. I have seen many a person’s faith suffer shipwreck because of these things (1 Tim. 1:19). I have seen others become so good at justifying themselves, that they sound like intellectuals or philosophers (Luke 16:15). I have seen many make God’s simple truth, very complicated in their lives. I have seen the power of Satan work through those who would not first be followers, but wanted to be teachers before they taught themselves (James 3:1). I have seen wives control their husbands and destroy their faith by doing so (1 Peter 3:1-6, 8, 9). I have seen men do the same (1 Peter 3:7-9). I have seen many who were called to live holy, pure lives begin to think thoughts which are far removed from what is holy and pure (Matt. 16:23; Rom. 8:5-6, Ps. 7:9, Luke 6:45). As people trying to live for God, we are going to be misunderstood, misquoted and have evil spoken of us (Job 15:35; Neh. 6:8, Ps. 83:5, Ps. 119:113, Prov. 24:2, Acts 14:2). If we did not have these trials, we would not grow, nor would the Lord be working with us any longer. God wants to know who is going to endure (Matt. 10:22). He wants to know who is going to keep on keeping on. God tests those who live His Way to see who will devour others and cause dissension and disharmony (1 John 1:6; Rom. 16:17; Gal. 5:15; 2 Tim. 2:14-15). Jesus said, “Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household." (Matt. 10:34-36). Yes, all who live for the Lord will suffer persecution (2 Tim. 3:10-12). If we do not continue to follow Jesus Christ, and keep His Ways and overcome by doing so, we are not worthy of eternal life (Matt. 10:38). Each one of us must answer to God in regard to the tests and trials we all must go through, and if we allow ourselves to stray from the truth of His word (1 Tim. 1:5-7; 2 Pet. 2:20-22). Your spiritual walk is between you and the Lord, and we will each stand before God to give an account for our lives (Rev. 20:12; 2 Tim. 4:8; Heb. 4:12; Rom. 2:16; John 12:48). We are called with a free will and we must make the choice, for ourselves, every day if we are going to live by God’s Ways (Deut. 30:15-20; Rev. 22:12). Whole Wheat strives to help you through these tests and trials by encouraging you with God’s word and constantly reminding you of the one and only truth that saves (Ps. 7:10; 119:160; Zech. 8:16, John 14:6). Seek the truth and it shall set you free (John 8:32). We strive to help you persevere and keep your hand on the plow (Luke 9:62). We strive to help you know how to please God, how to live godly, how to overcome and how to receive answered prayers, using the examples given in Scripture. Most of all, we strive to help you know God, prove that He exists and be His friend and disciple (John 15:8). The foundation of Whole Wheat has always been proving what is true, through Scripture, by studying your own Bible. The best way to learn is to convict yourself. Romans 14:22 says; The faith which you have, have as your own conviction before God. It is your choice whether or not you use the resources we offer (2 Pet. 1:12-13; 3:1). They are here for you as a support and to share with others. As you continue to apply this message and strengthen your faith in Christ Jesus, then God can continually reveal more to you as you spiritually mature. Then you will not be among those deceived, but will be prepared to meet the Lord instead (Luke 1:17; Rev. 3:7-8). • The Cure for Anxiety: A Woman to Woman Article | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search The Cure for Anxiety: A Woman to Woman Article Prices are going up and many people are finding it increasingly difficult to make ends meet. Is your life plagued with anxiety about the future? When the world is tumbling down all around us, we need to look to God and His words of instruction and wisdom. Matthew 6:33 tells us, “Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.” What does it mean to seek God’s kingdom? It is the opposite of what we seek in this world. In the world, we seek dollars first. We think money is the answer to our anxiety and problems. But how many people have lots of money and are still full of anxiety? The answer to our anxiety and problems is found in God’s word. His word is so revealing if we only have eyes to see it. Matthew 6:25 says, “Do not be anxious for your life.” Yes, the Lord tells us not to be anxious about the price of gas, the price of bread, or even the price of homes. Luke 12:29 says, “Do not keep on worrying.” These are words from Jesus Christ Himself. It’s time to pay attention to God’s word and get our minds and lives in order. What a waste of time it is to worry about things we cannot change. It’s time to obey God and live each day with a happy heart. God has the birds and animals instinctively doing His Will daily. They do not fret or worry about what will happen to them, but sing happy songs from the tree tops and they make happy sounds on the ground because our heavenly Father feeds them and cares for them (Matt. 6:26). By nature, we are all worrywarts because we do not trust that things will go right in our lives. However, if we know and live by the Ways of the Lord, we are assured in our hearts that the Lord will take care of us. Let’s cast all our anxiety on Him, our ultimate problem solver (1 Peter 5:7). All we need to do is perform God’s Will daily in all we think, do and say. He will take care of all our needs (Matt. 6:10-11). This is how we seek God’s kingdom first and practice His righteousness in our daily walk with Him. • How Can Teenagers Serve God? | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How Can Teenagers Serve God? Teenagers, your parents want the best for you. All your life they have nursed you when you were sick and worried over you when you were bad. Now, you are about to become an adult. When you are an adult, you will be responsible for your own actions and behavior. Indecision will be one of your enemies. Anxiety, irresponsibility, indifference and selfishness will be other enemies. But look, this is nothing more than human nature at work in your members. The good news is that Jesus Christ came to destroy the old nature in us when we put on the new nature in Christ. The method is simple. The results are astounding, because Jesus Christ and the Father never start something they don’t finish. We could all be successful if we would just get out of our own way. Yes, we are our own worst enemy—our human nature, the fleshly nature. Read what God says our nature is in Ephesians 2:1-3; 5:5; 2 Timothy 2:26; Galatians 5:19-21 and Matthew 15:19. How do you receive a new nature? Live to please God daily, as Jesus Christ our example lived (Luke 9:23; Matt. 10:38; 1 John 2:6). Do God’s Will, which is doing righteous deeds towards others (Matt. 5:16; 12:50; Luke 8:21; 11:28; 1 Peter 2:12). These are the same works that Jesus Christ said we would do more of than He did, for He was to be crucified at the age of 33 (John 14:12; Rev. 2:26). Practice righteousness for God until He makes it come from your heart (1 Peter 4:12-13). As you practice righteousness, God will perfect you through mild testing or suffering (1 Peter 5:10). Normally you suffer for doing wrong, but when you suffer for doing what is right, you can receive His new nature and enter the kingdom that is within you (1 Peter 4:1; Rom. 6:11; Gal. 4:19; Luke 17:21 King James Version). You must force yourself into it and seize it for yourself (Luke 16:16; Matt. 11:12). Soon your righteousness will exceed that of the scribes and the Pharisees and you will be a happy slave to Christ (Matt. 5:20). You will be doing all your righteous works—which is God’s Will—from your heart (Eph. 6:6). Don’t delay! Be happy today (Matt. 25:33-40). wholewheatonline.com Search In League With the Stones of the Field When was the last time you saw a sparrow die of starvation (Matt. 6:26; 10:29)? Who feeds the lions and the ravens (Job 38:39-41)? Isn’t it their Creator? How would you like to have all your needs taken care of by your Creator and never have to worry about anything ever again? You can if you seek God’s kingdom first by practicing God’s righteous Ways in your life (Matt. 6:33). Birds and animals were created by God to conform to the Will of God and to perform accordingly. Because of this, all their needs are met. Man, on the other hand, was created in the image of God, with the potential of God but lacking God’s nature. God’s nature is God’s Will or God’s Ways. When you set your will to do something, you are accomplishing your own will or ways. God says His Ways are as far removed from ours as the east is from the west (Is. 55:8-9). Our ways are not God’s Ways, but by keeping God’s Ways, we can have Jesus Christ’s nature formed in us (Gal. 4:19). We must stamp out Satan’s will in our lives by resisting him daily and doing only God’s Will - which is righteousness - on this earth as it is done in heaven (Matt. 6:10). Jesus Christ did this and overcame, and we are to follow His example (Rev. 3:21). We stamp out Satan’s will in our lives by doing only God’s Will in our lives, and by glorifying God with good works done in Jesus Christ’s name (Rom. 10:2-3; Matt. 5:16; Col. 3:17). We continue to do our good in this way until our righteousness exceeds the pharisaical stage and as happy slaves of Jesus Christ, we do God’s Will from the heart (Eph. 6:6; Matt. 5:20; 25:33-46). Once this occurs, we are fulfilling God’s purpose for our existence and we are in league with the stones of the field (Job 5:23). Now, God will take care of all our needs and all things will be added to us (Matt. 6:33). • What Was Jesus Like? | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search What Was Jesus Like? Jesus was a likable person because He was kind, outgoing and gentle in spirit. He was compassionate and showed mercy to the poor, the lowly and those who had no helper. He had many friends, some closer than others. Peter and Lazarus were very special to Him. Many women were also His friends, and He was very close to some of them. Jesus did the work of His Father by proclaiming the kingdom of heaven is at hand for those who change their lives by repenting (Matt. 4:17). Jesus came to proclaim the good life of God. He came to proclaim that when you live this life, you will be assured blessings, abundant peace, joy and every good thing (John 10:10; 15:11). All your prayers will be answered (John 14:14; 15:7; Matt. 7:7). Jesus knew He couldn't change people from their wicked ways. He could not force anyone to repent, but He could proclaim the message as a witness. This message is the good news of how we can get rid of our evil natures by practicing God's Ways so that God can bless us (Acts 3:26). All we need to do is imitate Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 11:1). He was a living example, showing us, by His good deeds, how easy it is to overcome and live a godly life (John 10:32; Matt. 11:30). Not all those who understood His message took it to heart, but a few did (Matt 13:19-23). Jesus was as a salesman selling a good way of life, but few were interested or believed His message (Matt. 11:30; 22:14). Many of those few who responded and strived to enter by the narrow door by living for God each day never finished, but others did endure to the end and were saved (Luke 13:24; Matt. 10:22; 24:13). They were all reminded not to become weary in well-doing (Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13). They were told that if they endured, they would receive the prize of ruling the nations of this earth with Christ (Rev. 2:26-27). They would also have Jesus Christ's nature formed in them (Gal. 4:19). Those who continued to sacrifice, by doing good for God on a daily basis, eventually entered God's rest (Heb. 4:10; 13:16, 21; Rom. 12:1-2). Then all they needed to do was endure to the end, living the happy, peaceful, abundant life that Jesus lived and gave us example to live (Matt. 10:22; Rev. 2:26). It's a simple message, isn't it? But it simply is not lived by many who profess His name today because it simply is not known (Titus 1:16). Now that you know what Jesus was like and what His simple message was, just imitate Him daily so you can be an example to others that this is indeed the truth and the only way to live (1 Cor. 11:1; John 3:21; 1 John 1:6-7). • Two Kinds of Meditation | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Two Kinds of Meditation Meditation according to the Bible “How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law, he meditates day and night” (Psalm 1:1-2). Wouldn’t it be fantastic if everyone loved his neighbor? Wouldn’t it be great if everyone did good to each other instead of harm? Wouldn’t it be great if no one stole, lied or cheated other people? Wouldn’t it be great if we lived in a world without locks, keys and combinations to remember? That world is coming for those who care about righteousness and who care about others. Think about it. Meditate on these things and other good things in God’s word. This is meditation according to God’s word (Psalm 1:2-3; Psalm 119:15; Phil. 4:8). In order to properly understand meditation, we should know its definition. Webster’s Dictionary, 1937 edition, defines the word “meditation” as follows: 1) Act of meditating thought, especially close or continued thought; turning or revolving of a subject in the mind. 2) A private religious or devotional exercise; consideration of some religious or moral truth, in order to promote personal holiness and love of God (Psalm 77:12; 119:15, 23, 27, 48, 78; 143:5; 145:5; Heb. 12:3 AMP). There is another meditation that is deceiving the world. Those who practice this type of meditation are naïve and gullible. If those who practice this type of meditation only knew the secrets of what they are not being told, they would stop immediately because they would realize they are being tricked and deceived by those who are deceived themselves or else know the truth and aren’t telling it (2 Cor. 4:2; Eph. 4:14). Worldly meditation In Revelation 12:3 God’s word says, “And another sign appeared in heaven: and behold, a great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and on his head were seven diadems.” This great red dragon who was thrown down is that serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan (Rev. 12:9). Satan is called the god with a thousand names who comes in a thousand different forms. One of his forms is that of the red dragon. Very few realize that the great red dragon is worshiped by those who meditate in Eastern or New Age style meditation. Let us uncover the religious lie in the raising of the kundalini. In the book Kundalini and the Third Eye, authors Earlyne C. Chaney and William L. Messick discuss kundalini (chapter three, page 20). They say arousing and raising kundalini is perfectly natural since kundalini is already a part of your natural being. As long as it remains coiled at the base of the spine, it becomes the down-flowing serpent, “the red dragon” [this is Satan] stimulating the reproductive organs toward the natural sex cycle. The authors go on to say that meditation seems to be the safest, the surest and the shortest pathway to God realization. The lower chakra at the base of the spine is called the kundalini chakra. Kundalini means coiled snake or serpent. It is also called the sex chakra. You can raise this serpent power by sitting in the lotus position and chanting a mantra. The lotus position is said to help you reach your root chakra and red energy. The mantra most used is that of O.M. or A.U.M. This is considered the mother of all mantras. This word should not be repeated. Very few people know the full meaning of that mantra. Very few people know that this word calls their god, Satan, into their presence. Satan is worshiped in his many different forms or by his many different names through this mantra. By meditation and using the mantra O.M. one can raise this serpent power called the “red dragon” until he or she (the initiate) becomes, according to Kundalini and the Third Eye, p. 21, the Nagas, the true and perfect Serpent. Oxford Language dictionary states the Nagas is a member of a semidivine race, part human, part cobra. What you are not being told is that you will be totally overcome with Satan’s nature. You will become an adept, a full initiate of Satan. Webster’s New International Dictionary of the English Language, 1910 edition, page 1173, says, “Jupiter Optimus Maximus, often written Jupiter O.M.; best and greatest.” Jupiter is another name for Satan with his secret initials O.M., which happens to be his mantra. He is the god of secret societies throughout the world, as well as many major religions of the world—which are pagan. Chanting O.M. is meant to bring you into a trance like state so you can join the universal mind. And using namaste is saying, “ I bow to the god within you” again, this is not referring to our Lord Jesus Christ. When the Israelites were taken out of Egypt and brought into the promised land, they were told not to imitate other nations in regard to the way they worshiped their gods (Deut. 12:30). Those nations had done every abomination imaginable in their form of worship to their gods (Deut. 12:31). Satan’s religion is referred to as the “Old Religion” and old it is. It started in the Garden of Eden and resulted in the world being destroyed by God in a flood when it polluted the planet with its teachings. They really aren’t new teachings, but very old. Satan is worshiped in sexual orgies and other debaucheries. This brings up another type of meditation—sexual meditation. For reasons of decency we cannot go into detail. Suffice it to say that in the past, God Almighty destroyed such mighty nations as Egypt, Greece and Rome, as well as Sodom and Gomorrah, for having orgies and practicing sexual meditation (1 Cor 10:8; 2 Cor. 12:21; 1 Thess. 4:3). What awaits a person who is raising the kundalini through deadly meditation? Let’s quote from Kundalini and the Third Eye. First, the initiate feels a warm or hot sensation at the bottom of his or her spine. The body becomes cold and corpse-like. Then the person begins to shudder, tremble or rock violently and hears strange sounds. He sees various lights, including an inner light. He may experience ego inflation, rampant sexual desires and a host of other ills. Yogis stress that the body must be properly attuned for kundalini through practicing yoga, and that a premature or explosive awakening can cause insanity or even death! According to Harper’s Encyclopedia of Mystical Paranormal Experience page 320, symptoms include involuntary jerking, or spasmodic body movements, or postures with pain, unusual breathing patterns, paralysis, tickling, itching, vibrating sensations, inner sounds such as roaring, whistling, or chirping. Read in Isaiah 8:19 about wizards who whisper and mutter. People do not realize that they are becoming fully possessed by the devil. The words whisper and mutter are translated as chirp, twitter, whisper or peep (like a bird) (6850 Strong’s Concordance), and moan, growl, utter or meditate (1897 Strong’s Concordance). Continuing in Harper’s Encyclopedia of Mystical Paranormal Experience page 320 says, those who practice yoga may suffer from insomnia, unusual or extreme emotions (emotional instability), intensified sex drive, distortions of thought processes, inability to think clearly, out-of-body experiences. The article says these bad symptoms can be alleviated by the introduction of a heavier diet and temporary cessation from meditation (p. 321). Let’s say it in plain language. These horrible conditions will stop if you put red meat (heavier diet) into your diet and stop meditating and practicing yoga! Being a vegetarian weakens your system and makes it easier for you to be possessed by demons, and this secret is kept from those using Eastern style meditation and yoga (Rom. 14:2). The word yoga is derived from the Sanskrit root yuj, meaning “to yoke,” or “to unite”. The practice aims to create union between body, mind and spirit, as well as between the individual self and universal consciousness. Who are you uniting with? It is certainly not God (Deut. 8:19; Eph. 5:6). All yoga stems from Eastern religion. Everything, about the practice of yoga and meditation, invites the wrong god to possess your body, mind and consciousness. Conclusion Harper’s Encyclopedia an account of a man called Gopi Krishna (1903-1984) is given on page 321. This man meditated every morning for three hours for seventeen years. On Christmas Day in 1937, he had an explosive roaring kundalini. This man was then plunged into twelve years of misery with the agonies of the mentally afflicted. It goes on to say that scientific research about kundalini remains in the infant stage hampered by its unpredictability. Another difficulty is the similarity of it to mental disturbances or stress. There you have it. If yoga and meditation were drugs with these negative side effects, it would never be allowed on the market. People do not want you to know the truth and that you will eventually be totally possessed by Satan, the great red dragon, as well as by other demons. You will receive god-consciousness, but it will be the wrong god, the god of this world, Satan the deceiver. Satan has religiously deceived the whole world into worshiping him and keeping his doctrines (Rev. 12:9). God’s word says if you live for self and practice the deeds of the flesh, you will die (John 8:24; Rom. 6:2). But if through God’s Spirit you are putting to death the evil deeds of the flesh by not giving in to them, and if you resist Satan daily by doing good for others, you will live forever (Rom. 8:13)! Overcoming evil by doing good for God is easy, pleasant, and fantastically rewarding. It is life-changing and it is how you glorify God on this earth and prove yourself to be a disciple of Jesus Christ (1 John 5:3 AMP; 1 John 2:14; John 15:8). As you can see, worldly meditation and yoga is not pleasing to God and does not honor Him in any way. By participating in these things, you are worshipping the god of this world, Satan (Matt. 4:10). And don’t be fooled by those who are slapping the name Christian on these practices to try and make them acceptable (Col. 2:8; Mark 7:8). There are clear differences between what God’s Word says on the subject and what the world is promoting: Godly meditation: -Fills your mind with Scripture and God’s Word -Promotes thinking and reflecting on God’s laws and precepts -Turning or revolving a godly subject in the mind -Thinking on the truth to promote the love of God and further holiness -Directs your mind toward God -Is a personal and individual practice of worship -Honors God (Josh. 1:7-9 AMP) Worldly meditation: -Empties your mind -Uses a mantra and hand signals that call to Satan -Uses the seated lotus position to help you connect to your root chakra and red energy -Rooted in pagan practices and eastern religion -Directs your mind to self -Can arouse sexual organs -Can cause physical and mental illness -Is a personal and/or group practice that worships the red god, Satan -Honors the god of this world, Satan (Rev. 12:9) God has asked us to separate ourselves from the world, not to join in (2 Cor. 6:17; John 15:19; 1 John 2:15 AMP). So many are participating in meditation and yoga with no true insight to what they are doing, and who they are actually worshipping by doing so (2 Cor. 11:3). We can clearly see that ignorance is not bliss. Educate yourself, and don’t be fooled, if you desire to honor God. You will be glad you did. • Works of Faith | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Works of Faith A faith that works is a faith with works. Wouldn’t we be in a pickle if Jesus Christ’s faith had no works? There would be no forgiveness of sins, and He would not be our perfect example. How could Jesus Christ be obedient to the Father if He had no works? Could Jesus Christ glorify the Father with bad works or without works? "Don’t be silly," you might say. Well, don’t you think it would be silly to tell disciples of Jesus Christ that they do not need good works? How can they repent if they do not have good works (Acts 26:20)? Do you show God that you are repentant by performing bad works daily instead of good works? Of course not! You cannot be hired to do a job for an employer unless you promise to do good works for him. Then, if you continue to do good works, he will bless you by giving you a promotion or salary increase. After you have been trained by your employer and have proven yourself, you can be promoted because of your good works. Why, you might even receive a bonus, a turkey or some other special gift. But if you perform bad works for your employer, you will get fired. Our heavenly Father is our employer when we decide to live for Him. If we perform good works for His glory, God will bless us (Matt. 5:16; John 10:10). How about if you perform bad works for God? Won’t you get fired? God gives eternal life as a free bonus for continual good works, but those who are unrepentant - continue to do what is bad, or worse yet, do nothing at all - will not receive the bonus. Eternal life is not given to those who continue to do bad works daily (1 John 3:10; John 5:29). Rather, it is given to those who live repentant lives by doing good works daily to please the Father (Matt. 5:16). The Lord accepts us as we are, but then we must be fully trained by Him and strive to please Him in all our ways and works of faith (2 Peter 1:5-11; Luke 6:40, 46). • The Biblical Definition of Idolatry | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search The Biblical Definition of Idolatry Surprising as it may be, Webster’s Dictionary agrees with God’s word when it says any object (symbol or representation) that is used for worship (religious reminder) is an idol. It is any object of extreme devotion. This would include pictures, crosses, statues or any form of religious symbolism such as the use of birds, fishes, animals or insects as religious reminders (Deut. 4:15-19). Noah Websters 1828 Dictionary agrees with the Scripture and expounds even more than the traditional dictionary to state that an idol is: an image, form or representation, usually of a man or other animal, consecrated as an object of worship; a pagan deity. Idols are usually statues or images, carved out of wood or stone, or formed of metals, particularly silver or gold. It also says; Idolatry is of two kinds; the worship of images, statues, pictures, etc. made by hands; and the worship of the heavenly bodies, the sun, moon and stars, or of demons, angels, men and animals. But these are not the only definitions of idolatry. Noah Websters Dictionary also states that idolatry is any thing on which we set our affections; that we indulge an excessive attachment to. Think about what things in your life might fall under that category. The Bible says anything that keeps you from doing what God says you should do is an idol or anything you put ahead of God (Col. 3:5). The whole armor of God is Bible study, prayer and continually living the life of doing good for God’s glory (Eph. 6:13). God wants you to live for Him each day by studying His word, praying to him and living your life to please Him (2 Tim. 2:15; Prov. 15:8; Eph. 5:10). Anything that stops you from doing so is an idol. Anything that comes between you and what God wants you to do daily is idolatry. Remember, stubbornness is the same sin as witchcraft in God’s eyes (1 Sam. 15:23). Finally, idolatry is anything that exalts itself. It is anything that makes itself more important than what God has said in His word you should do (Ex. 20:3). In short, you should not make excuses, or provisions, for failing to do what God has instructed you to do daily (Phil. 2:3; Jer. 7:23-24). If God said it, that should settle it. What man says in opposition to God’s word should not be followed, for it too is idolatry (Acts 5:29).
