  • "There is nothing required for repentance." | WHOLE WHEAT

"There is nothing required for repentance." MISCONCEPTION The subject of overcoming. THE TRUTH IS: We must overcome to be saved (Rev. 2:7). We overcome by keeping and performing daily the deeds that Jesus came here to show us. We must endure, keeping them, and stay true to Jesus right up to the end of our lives in order to be saved (Rev. 2:26). If only those who overcome will not be hurt in the second death, then what will happen to those precious people who are searching for God in all the wrong places who have never even heard of the message of overcoming (Rev. 2:11)? If overcoming is required to be a disciple of Jesus Christ or your name is erased from the book of life, doesn’t it stand to reason that there is more to the watered-down salvation message than the world is being told by those who are spiritually blind (Rev. 3:5; Matt. 15:14)? Look at all the Scriptures on overcoming that are left out of this world’s message of salvation: Revelation 2:7, 11, 17, 26; 3:5, 12, 21; 5:5; 21:7. Jesus was righteous. He came to show us how to live righteously and be righteous like He was. To be righteous, you must do acts of righteousness toward others for God (Matt. 25:40), using your body as an instrument of righteousness for God as Jesus did and gave us example to do (Rom. 6:13). We are to live like Dorcas did, who was abounding with deeds of kindness toward others, which she continually did (Acts 9:36). We purify ourselves and allow the Lord to change us by always being zealous for doing good (Titus 2:7, 14; 1 Peter 3:13). This is how we overcome the evil one in our lives—by continually doing good for others (Psalm 34:14; 37:27; 1 Peter 3:11; Rom. 12:21; Rev. 2:26). The fear of the Lord is to seek God and show Him respect by doing good daily (Rom. 3:10-12). This is how to show God reverence daily (Psalm 34:9-14). Now, if it is with great difficulty that the righteous people we have just mentioned are saved (1 Peter 4:18), you know the world has not heard the true message of the gospel; but now you have. Now you know how to overcome. You have been told how it’s done daily. God’s word says we are to put to death the evil deeds of the body with His Spirit daily if we are to live forever (Rom. 8:13-14). If we walk by the Spirit, we will not carry out the evil desires of the body, says Galatians 5:16. Walking by the Spirit means keeping God’s Ways. Walk with God like Enoch walked. Keep Jesus Christ’s words, and if you keep them, that means you do them or perform them in your life daily (Luke 6:46; John 8:31). How many people do you know or have you met who have crushed the flesh with its evil passions and desires and fulfilled Galatians 5:24? Now you know how to fulfill this Scripture in your life, and have no more excuse for your sins (John 15:22; Heb. 10:26-27). • How to Do God's Will With Your Mind | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Do God's Will With Your Mind The word of God says, "This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice" and enjoy it (Psalm 118:24). Now, if you are going to have a good day and enjoy it, you must stop complaining about the weather. The weather is God's business and none of yours. Some other ingredients for having a good day include: cheering up people at work; helping people; consoling people; being friendly and understanding people. That means serving your brother and sister and that is being like Jesus Christ. Practice being positive. Unrestrained human nature practices being negative. It is counterproductive and degenerative. When your life is lived positively, then positive things begin to happen to you. If you are living negatively, which is normal but evil, sometimes you will not even recognize good things happening to you. Negativism, inwardness, selfishness, indifference, hate and murder are all brothers of destruction. This is why Christ said if you hate your brother, you are the same as a murderer (1 John 3:15). By practicing attitudes that are destructive, you cannot expect to live a constructive life. But when you are practicing attitudes that are constructive, such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control you are, in fact, practicing godliness, or imitating God (Gal. 5:23-24; Col. 1:10; Eph. 5:1). If we practice things that are not good in our daily lives, we will become increasingly evil, by nature. By continually practicing evil behavior, we become more like Satan, our earthly father (John 8:41, 44). But if we practice daily what is right, good, honorable, uplifting and pleasing in the sight of our heavenly Father, we will become more like our Father in heaven (1 John 3: 7-10). We will be living holy lives instead of unholy lives. We become what we are practicing to become - perfect (Matt. 5:48; 1 Peter 5:10). We are, by nature, sinners. God wants us to allow Him to change our nature to one of a saint. In order to do that, we must practice living saintly lives by changing our thoughts to godly thoughts. How many of us would want to see violence done to our children? Yet, we watch violence being done to other people’s children on television and vicariously enjoy it. If we did not enjoy it, we would not continue to watch it day after day. Do not be fooled. What you see with your eyes and hear with your ears affects what you think (Prov. 24:12, 29; 12:14). We are not to look at what is evil - violence, murder, rape, etc. (Psalm 34:13-14; 1 Peter 3:10-11). That includes any sport that is violent or anticipates violence. Anyone who loves violence is hated by God (Psalm 11:5). So let’s clean up what goes into our minds and guard those doors carefully, for what is in our minds has a lot to do with the condition of our hearts and what comes out of our mouths. "Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, think on these things." (Phil. 4:8). • How To Fear The Lord | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How To Fear The Lord Proverbs 3:7 tells us the fear of the Lord is to turn away from evil. Job knew this fear (Job 1:1, 8; 2:3). The fear of the Lord is showing respect for authority. You don’t respect those whom you don’t obey. If you have no fear of authority, you will not only transgress God’s laws, but man’s also. The fear we have is of punishment. God brings our ways back on our own heads daily (Col. 3:25). When all our ways are good, then our lives become a continual blessing (Psalm 25:8-10). God blesses this kind of person continually because his life becomes a blessing to others as well as himself (Luke 6:38; Psalm 18:20-21). God’s laws warn a man what will happen to him if he transgresses or breaks those laws, but there is great reward in keeping them (Psalm 19:11). By fearing and obeying the Lord, you will be prosperous, but you must allow the Lord to teach you, by studying God’s word daily (Psalm 25:12-13; 27:11; 32:8-9). He will keep you alive in famine and protect you from death (Psalm 37:19; 33:18-19). This is the fear of the Lord: To depart from evil by doing good, cease using filthy, perverse language and stop lying, and make all your ways pleasing to the Lord (Psalm 34:11-16; 37:27; 1 Peter 3:10-13). The Lord does not despise those who are His—those who fear Him and begin to obey Him (Psalm 69:33). You must realize that God sees and hears everything you do and will repay you for all your deeds—good for good and evil for evil (Psalm 94:8-9; Prov. 5:21; 20:12). When you meditate on and continually think of God’s Ways and how you can please Him, you will no longer be thinking of what is evil (Psalm 104:34). Practice righteousness at all times for the Lord (Psalm 106:3). Know that the Lord does good to those who are good and do good (Psalm 125:4). How can you be good unless you do good for God? Job knew how to be good and so do God’s true sheep (Job 29:12, 16; Matt. 25:33-40). Therefore, we are to fear the Lord by doing good for others daily. • Baptism is… | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Baptism is… Baptism is for your benefit, for your full assurance, for your gifts of the Spirit, for your forgiveness of sins. Baptism is an outward sign of inner repentance. You are showing by your actions that you mean business, that you are sincere. You are showing God in heaven that you are willing to lay down your old life of sin and pick up your new life of righteousness. You are saying you intend to live a new life of doing right things. You are going to live by God’s Ways and forsake your ways of the flesh which are not good. The Apostle Paul told how to do this. He said, “Repent, turn to God, and perform works for repentance” (Acts 26:20). You see, doing good works in Jesus Christ’s name for the glory of the Father is how you overcome (Col. 3:17; Rev. 2:26). Jesus says, the Father in heaven is glorified by good works and this is how a true disciple lets his light shine before men (Matt. 5:16). When John the Baptist was asked by the people what they should do in regard to repentance, he did not hesitate to give them a sound example of good works (Luke 3:10-11). “Bring forth fruit meant for repentance,” he said. That fruit is good works done for God’s glory (Col. 1:10). Good works are not necessary for salvation because salvation is a free gift that could never be earned (Eph. 2:8-9). But the rest of the message, left out by so many, is that good works are necessary for repentance, for overcoming, for glorifying God daily, for edification, purification, for instruction in godliness, and we should walk in them (Eph. 2:10). Jesus is purifying a peculiar people for Himself who are zealous and on fire or hot for good works (Titus 2:14). Jesus is making disciples who will do greater works than He did (John 14:12). God can’t stand those who are lukewarm for good deeds (Rev. 3:15-16; 2:2-5; Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13). Since Jesus is going to repay us according to our deeds, don’t you think we had better start doing some good deeds (Rev. 2:23; 20:12; 22:12; Matt. 16:27)? After all, if the righteous, who practice righteousness daily for God’s glory, are saved with difficulty, what is going to happen to those who deny Christ because they live disobedient and detestable lives and remain worthless for good works (1 Peter 4:18; 1 John 2:29; 3:7, 10, 18; Titus 1:16; 2:7; 3:8; Eph. 2:10)? God wants more examples like Dorcas, who was abounding with deeds of kindness and charity which she continually did (Acts 9:36; 10:2, 38). He wants us to become obedient to the faith once delivered (Acts 6:7). He wants us to obey what he commands and receive His Spirit (Acts 5:32). Have you heard this before? If you have, are you zealous for good works? Isn’t it time to repent and believe the gospel and not man and be baptized (Acts 3:26, James 2:22; Matt 28:19-20)? • The Biblical Definition of Idolatry | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search The Biblical Definition of Idolatry Surprising as it may be, Webster’s Dictionary agrees with God’s word when it says any object (symbol or representation) that is used for worship (religious reminder) is an idol. It is any object of extreme devotion. This would include pictures, crosses, statues or any form of religious symbolism such as the use of birds, fishes, animals or insects as religious reminders (Deut. 4:15-19). Noah Websters 1828 Dictionary agrees with the Scripture and expounds even more than the traditional dictionary to state that an idol is: an image, form or representation, usually of a man or other animal, consecrated as an object of worship; a pagan deity. Idols are usually statues or images, carved out of wood or stone, or formed of metals, particularly silver or gold. It also says; Idolatry is of two kinds; the worship of images, statues, pictures, etc. made by hands; and the worship of the heavenly bodies, the sun, moon and stars, or of demons, angels, men and animals. But these are not the only definitions of idolatry. Noah Websters Dictionary also states that idolatry is any thing on which we set our affections; that we indulge an excessive attachment to. Think about what things in your life might fall under that category. The Bible says anything that keeps you from doing what God says you should do is an idol or anything you put ahead of God (Col. 3:5). The whole armor of God is Bible study, prayer and continually living the life of doing good for God’s glory (Eph. 6:13). God wants you to live for Him each day by studying His word, praying to him and living your life to please Him (2 Tim. 2:15; Prov. 15:8; Eph. 5:10). Anything that stops you from doing so is an idol. Anything that comes between you and what God wants you to do daily is idolatry. Remember, stubbornness is the same sin as witchcraft in God’s eyes (1 Sam. 15:23). Finally, idolatry is anything that exalts itself. It is anything that makes itself more important than what God has said in His word you should do (Ex. 20:3). In short, you should not make excuses, or provisions, for failing to do what God has instructed you to do daily (Phil. 2:3; Jer. 7:23-24). If God said it, that should settle it. What man says in opposition to God’s word should not be followed, for it too is idolatry (Acts 5:29). "You automatically do good / righteousness" MISCONCEPTION: When you accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and believe in Him, you will just automatically do these works of righteousness as a result of your belief or faith. THE TRUTH IS: The Apostle Paul instructed his ministers to constantly remind people to engage in a life of doing good works for God (Titus 3:8), and this is something they would have to learn to do (Titus 3:14; Is. 1:16-20). The very reason God instructed His people to get together is to provoke one another to more love and good deeds (Heb. 10:24). The word provoke here means to go against your nature. The Apostle Paul had to discipline himself daily for the purpose of godliness so he wouldn’t be a hypocrite (1 Cor. 9:27; 1 Tim. 4:7). Does this sound like it comes naturally, or was the Apostle Paul fighting the good fight of faith by fighting his evil human nature and resisting Satan daily (1 Tim. 1:18)? • The Truth About Heaven and Hell | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search The Truth About Heaven and Hell We have been taught from the time we were little children that the good people go to heaven and the wicked people go to hell. Those who go to heaven when they die are rejoined with loved ones. This teaching means we will never die. We have been told that hell is terrible, a place of eternal torment. There is fire there and people in hell burn forever and never die. The devil and his angels are there to torment those in hell day and night forever and ever. Hence, they never really die, but continue to live on and on and on. Some have claimed there is a spiritual prison in which all the dead are held under bondage until judgment. This, too, is a doctrine teaching that we will never die. It is a spiritual lie that cannot be proven true by the holy word of God. What does the God of the Bible say? Does the spirit live on after death? The word of God says, “The soul that sinneth, it shall die” (Ezek. 18:20). Yes, the soul can die. We are also instructed not to fear those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul. Instead, we are told to fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell (Matt. 10:28). So now we can see that souls can be killed by God. The Bible calls this the second death (Rev. 20:14; 21:8). People are subtly persuaded to believe they don’t really die. They are told they return to their angelic state when they die. Many who have fallen for this lie remain ignorant of God’s word. What does God’s true word say about what happens when you die? Your death is a sleep. All will be resurrected in the end. Did you hear? In the end! You do not go to heaven when you die. You sleep! Your spirit returns to God who gave it, but so does the sparrow’s spirit (Eccl. 12:7). God takes His Spirit away and you return to the dust. He sends forth His Spirit and you come alive again (Psalm 104:29-30; Ezek. 37:4-14). You cannot praise God in the grave because you cannot speak. God, who is true, says, in the very day you die, your thoughts perish (Eccl. 9:5, 10). The death of people is the same as animals ( Eccl. 3:19-20). So a man lies down and dies and does not rise until the heavens be no more (Job 14:12). The dead do not rise until when? Until the heavens be no more. That’s at the end of the age, at the return of Jesus Christ. The dead people will not rise nor be aroused out of their sleep. Job said he was going to wait in the grave until God called him and gave him a new body at the time of the resurrection (Job 14:14-15). When a man’s spirit departs, the word of God says, he returns to the earth, and in that very day, his thoughts perish. Do you believe God’s word (Psalm 146:4; 112:10)? The dead do not praise the Lord, nor do any who go down to silence (Psalm 115:17). At one point in time the dead are symbolically given white robes and told to rest for a little while longer (Rev. 6:9-10). This indicates they are resting now. These words are not cleverly devised tales (2 Peter 1:16). Jesus says that an hour is coming when all who are in the graves—not in heaven—shall hear His voice, and those who did the good works shall come forth to a resurrection of life (John 5:28-29; Rom. 2:7). Even King David, a man after God’s own heart, did not ascend to heaven (Acts 2:34). He is still in the grave, just as Jesus Christ said (Acts 2:29). No man has ascended to heaven. Now, Jesus wouldn’t lie, would He (John 3:13)? Only those who persevere in doing good will receive immortality or eternal life (Rom. 2:7). The Truth About Hell When Jesus Christ returns, He will create a lake of fire, which will be located in Jerusalem (Is. 31:9). The location could very well be in the valley of Gehenna, which is now a public park. The word Gehenna means hell. The first customer of the lake of fire will be the beast who has masqueraded as the returned Christ and given himself all the titles of Christ. This is the one whom the whole world will worship before Jesus Christ returns to the earth (Rev. 13:8). The second customer will be a man who made a statue in the likeness of this false christ and required everyone in the world to fall down and worship that statue or be put to death (Rev. 13:11-17). This religious deception is caused by God. All those who refuse the message of God’s simple truth so as to be saved will believe the false christ (2 Thess. 2:10-12; Rev. 17:17). Then, anyone who is not found in the book of eternal life will be cast into that same fire started by Jesus Christ at His return (Rev. 20:12-15). All whose deeds were righteous before God will be spared (Matt. 18:35; 15:8). But all whose deeds remained wicked and unrepentant will be destroyed, including those who do not practice righteousness for God or love their brother (1 John 3:10). They will be burned at the end of the age in the lake of fire and as they are burned, they will weep and gnash their teeth (Matt. 13:40-42). They will be totally destroyed forever—destroyed never to return again (Rev. 21:8; 2 Peter 3:7). They will be set ablaze and turned to ashes (Mal. 4:1-3). Remember, the word death means cessation of life or end. Eternal punishment is the end of spiritual life—the second death (Matt. 25:46). Satan will also be thrown into the lake of fire at a later time. “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever” (Rev. 20:10—Notice, in many translations of the Bible, the word “are” is substituted for the original word “were”—past tense). The expression day and night forever is an extravagant way of saying for good, or forever. When trying to understand hell, many people are confused about the parable of Lazarus and the rich man. This was a parable—a riddle, an example—not an actuality. The rich man was being slowly burned with fire and was very thirsty. Lazarus was immortal. Now, since the rich man was mortal, there was a bridge between them. Lazarus was spiritual and the rich man was flesh. That bridge could not be crossed over by Lazarus (Luke 16:24). This parable emphasizes the importance of living for God now, while we have the opportunity. There is no second chance. The Truth About Heaven People believe their loved ones have gone to heaven already. What about Moses and Elijah in Matthew 17:4? That was a vision (Matt. 17:9). What about Paul? He didn’t know how he ascended, so how could you (2 Cor. 12:2)? He said only God knew what happened. It could have been a vision. What about Enoch? God took His Spirit out of Enoch’s body. Then God put Enoch’s spirit to sleep until the resurrection (Heb. 11:5). Remember, Jesus Christ was the first born of many brethren (Rom. 8:29; 1 Cor. 15:23). It is appointed once for all men to die, then comes the judgment (Heb. 9:27). Enoch is waiting to be born again (Heb. 11:39-40). God hid Enoch’s body, just as He hid Moses’ body, so men couldn’t build a building over it and use it to their advantage to further their own religions. The devil wanted Moses’ body to further his religious deception on this earth, and he argued with Michael for it (Jude 9). But God hid it from sight on Mount Nebo about 80 miles west of Jerusalem. What about Elijah? Approximately 12 years after Elijah was taken up in a chariot, he sent a letter to King Jehoram of Israel (2 Chron. 21:12-15). Remember, there are no thoughts in the grave, so if he died he could not have written the letter (Psalm 6:5). Elijah was still alive, but living elsewhere on this earth. He went into retirement. When Jesus was crucified, He died. If he didn’t die, then He lied. And if He died according to the Scripture, which cannot be broken, he had no thoughts in the grave. He went to sleep for three days and three nights. Jesus did not preach to the dead spirits of mortal men in prison. He had no thoughts in the grave. First Peter 3:18-19 says nothing about Jesus Christ preaching to somebody while He was in the grave. He had plenty of time to do that after He was resurrected and had a spiritual body. Incidentally, the “spirits now in prison” were the fallen angels of Jude 6, not dead humans. People in the churches have been lied to and most refuse to study their Bibles and ask God to show them His truth. They are afraid they might have to give up some cherished belief. They would rather put their trust in some man, even though the word of God continually warns them not to do that (Psalm 146:3; Is. 2:22). The Bible is not a private interpretation, but men from all ages have been moved by the Holy Spirit to write the words of God (2 Peter 1:20-21). God places a special curse on anyone who tampers with His words (Rev. 22:19). True disciples of Jesus Christ are warned not to be uninformed about those who are asleep (1 Thess. 4:13-17; 5:10). God does not want us to grieve, thinking we have no hope. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the trumpet of God. And those who died in Jesus Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Have you heard something different? Behold, I tell you a mystery, we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed in a moment in the twinkling of an eye (1 Cor. 15:51). When? At the last trumpet. When does the Bible say the last trumpet is (Rev. 11:15)? The trumpet will sound and the dead in Christ will be raised imperishable and we will be changed (1 Cor. 15:52). Many who profess to be followers of Christ are far removed from God’s true form of spiritual worship (John 4:24; Rom. 12:1; James 1:27; Psalm 37:27). The spiritual leaders of this world are leading people astray (Is. 3:12). Preachers are preaching on their own authority. God says He did not send them (Jer. 23:1, 11, 13-22). People love their false ministers, but what will they do in the end (2 Tim. 4:3-4; Jer 5:31)? We are admonished to prove all things by God’s word and to believe in only those things that can withstand the sure test of those Scriptures (2 Tim. 2:15). By knowing these truths, at least you have a choice about whether to stay deceived or not. Read your Bible and come out of religious deception once and for all! Seek the truth and it will set you free from being religiously misled (John 8:32). The Lord is with you when you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him. But if you forsake Him, He will forsake you forever (1 Chron. 28:9). PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

Isn't doing good works how you overcome (Rom. 12:21; Rev. 2:26)? Aren't we warned not to get weary of doing good works (Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13)? Were we not created in Christ Jesus for good works (Eph. 2:10)? Don't good works include helping the needy (James 2:15-16; 1 John 3:17-19; Luke 3:11)? Aren't we, then, to bring forth good fruit if we say that we have repented (Luke 3:8; Acts 26:20)? Isn't this the Way (Acts 24:22)? Isn't this the message of how to be righteous? Isn't this the message many people refuse to believe when they hear it (Matt. 21:32)? Isn't this how you know you are born again and considered righteous by God, no longer a child of Satan (1 John 2:29; 3:7, 10)? Isn't doing good works how you serve God and glorify His name (Mal. 3:18; Matt. 5:16)? Isn't this how you do God's Will and enter God's rest (Matt. 7:21; Heb. 4:10)? Isn't this the Way of righteousness Jesus lived, which we are to imitate (1 Cor. 11:1)? After reading all these Scriptures, do you believe good works are important in God's complete message of salvation (Acts 5:20)? • The Kingdom of God Within | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search The Kingdom of God Within In Luke 17:21, Jesus mentions a kingdom of God within us. The original Greek text says, “The kingdom of God is within you.” “Within you” is mentioned in the King James Version, New International Version and many other translations of the Bible. “Within you” is also mentioned in the Living Bible. In the much-respected translation by Ferrar Fenton, it plainly says: “The kingdom of God exists within yourself.” There are some translations, such as the Modern Language Bible, that erroneously state, “the kingdom of God is in your midst.” And the Revised Standard Version has it, “in the midst of you.” Some others state, “among you.” The reason for this corruption of Scripture will become abundantly clear in this article. First, let’s see if we can prove by some other statement of Jesus Christ that there is a kingdom of heaven within that must be entered. In Matthew 23:13, Jesus scolded the scribes and Pharisees for not entering the kingdom of heaven within and not allowing others to enter. The Pharisees had taken away the key of knowledge of how to enter the kingdom of God within—by doing acts of righteousness daily for God. Not only did they fail to enter themselves but they were being stumbling blocks to those who were trying to seek God (Luke 11:52). Jesus then gave the keys of the kingdom of God to Peter (Matt. 16:18-19). He gave Peter the knowledge of how to enter the kingdom of God within—by doing acts of righteousness for God without (towards others). There you have it—the proof has been shown to you that there is a kingdom of God or heaven that is entered within. How then, is it entered? Matthew 5:20 says it is entered by acts of righteousness—doing righteous acts or righteous deeds. The Pharisees were no longer practicing righteousness to enter the kingdom within, but rather, they were practicing righteousness to be seen of men. Jesus sternly warned those who would follow Him to be careful not to fall into that deadly trap when they practiced righteousness (Matt. 6:1). In Matthew 9:13 and 12:7, Jesus told the Pharisees that they were lacking in knowledge. The answer showing what they were lacking is found in Psalm 106:3: How blessed are those who practice charity (honesty and justice) and practice righteousness towards others at all times (Prov. 21:3). To do (practice) righteousness and charity (justice) towards others is desired by the Lord rather than sacrifice. This is how a person becomes obedient to the faith of our Lord. This is the narrow Way that few find (Matt. 7:14). The Pharisees had lost the keys to the kingdom—the knowledge of how to repent daily and enter the kingdom of God within by performing acts of righteousness towards others daily to be obedient to the faith (Acts 6:7). But some of the Pharisees were in error—they were practicing self-righteous works. The very same is true for millions today who profess His name but deny Him daily by continuing to be worthless for any good deeds for God (Titus 1:16). Dorcas, who was a true disciple of Jesus Christ, was abounding with deeds of kindness and charity, which she continually did towards others for the Lord (Acts 9:36). All of Jesus’ true disciples and followers were entering the kingdom within by practicing righteousness from without. They were persevering (continually doing good) because they sought for glory and honor and immortality (Rom. 2:7). This is how you obey the truth (Rom. 2:8-10). How many who profess Jesus Christ today are aware of this (John 3:21)? The truth is something you must practice daily (1 John 3:10). And that truth is simply doing good for God daily by putting Jesus’ words into practice (John 8:51). If you continue to walk in your old way of life, you are not practicing the truth daily and you will die (1 John 1:6; Rom. 8:13). If we live like Jesus gave us example to live by practicing righteousness, not only does Jesus’ blood cover our transgressions, but we will truly be born again (1 John 2:29; 1:7). The followers of Jesus Christ were not ignorant. They knew that only those who did good daily for God were of God (3 John 11). And those who wouldn’t practice righteousness for God daily remained of the devil (1 John 3:10; John 3:21). Now you can clearly understand why people incorrectly translate “the kingdom of God is among you” or “in your midst” instead of “within you.” It is because they knew they had not entered that “kingdom of God within.” It condemned them! Jesus has a new nature waiting for you if you do not grow weary in doing good daily to please Him (2 Thess. 3:13; Gal. 6:9). In due time, we will reap that new nature if we don’t get weary in well-doing (Gal. 6:9). We will then be a new creature or creation (Gal. 6:15). Jesus wants to reveal His new nature in you, but in order to do that you must be tested, and you must suffer a little, while you continue to practice doing what is right in God’s sight (1 Peter 4:12; 5:10; 1 John 3:22). Here you have it, if you have been given eyes to see: 1) The kingdom of heaven is within you. 2) You enter it by disciplining yourself to practice righteousness daily towards others for God. 3) Your righteousness must exceed the righteousness of the Pharisees. Until you do the Will of God, which is righteousness, from your heart, you simply will not enter His kingdom (Eph. 6:6; Matt. 5:20). This is how Christ’s nature is formed in you (Gal. 4:19). This is how you enter the kingdom of heaven within (Matt. 7:21). This is how you overcome your evil nature by keeping Jesus’ works and endure to the end (Rev. 2:26). This is how you put to death the deeds of the body so you will live forever (Rom. 8:12-13). This is how you discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness and thus, force your way into that kingdom within (Luke 16:16; 1 Tim. 4:7; 1 Cor. 9:24-27; Heb. 12:1; 1 Tim. 4:8). God will then reveal His nature in you (Rom. 8:18). He wants you to become a partaker of His divine nature (2 Peter 1:4). You now have the truth and you have been given the keys to the kingdom so you, too, can enter it. Study God’s word daily and the Spirit of Jesus will guide you into all truth, as it is happening and continues to happen to all those who are called of God. It is time that millions of professing Christians who are on the broad way know the truth about the narrow Way that few find (Matt. 7:13-14). You simply must do good daily to be good daily, and learn righteousness by practicing righteousness daily for the Lord (Is. 1:16-17; Titus 3:14; Ezek. 33:31-33; Is. 26:10). • Baby Baptism | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Baby Baptism Jesus told His apostles to teach people to observe all that He commanded them. “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you…” (Matt. 28:19-20). How can you teach a baby? How can you make a disciple out of a newborn baby? Can you instruct a newborn how to walk in Christ (Col. 2:6)? Can you instruct a newborn in the doctrine that conforms one to godliness? Jesus was about 30 years old when He was baptized. Children are blameless in God’s eyes (Matt. 18:10). It is not the will of the Father that one little child should perish (Matt. 18:14). When Jesus was a child, He didn’t know enough to refuse evil and choose good (Is. 7:14-16). Did that make Jesus evil and sinful in His youth? Of course not. How can you be a sinner when you don’t even know any better? It is only when you’ve heard and fully understood the true message of overcoming and how easy it is to do that you are no longer in ignorance. From that point on you have no excuse for your sin (John 15:22). You have counted the cost, which a baby or a child cannot do. There is no example of baby, or child, baptism in the Bible. There is no command to baptize babies. This tradition started with men and it means less than nothing to God (Mark 7:8; Col. 2:8). Please, don’t remain foolish, but understand what the perfect will of God really is (Eph. 5:17). Study your Bible—don’t just read it. People will give you pamphlets, articles and books written by men telling you what they want you to believe the Bible says. Don’t believe them. Let only God’s word teach you as you live to please Him daily (2 Tim. 2:7; 1 John 2:27). • Be Like Jesus Christ | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Be Like Jesus Christ Jesus Christ lived to please only the Father and we too should live only to please the Lord. We do this by making all our ways pleasing in His sight (Psalm 19:14). That means we can no longer live a life of evil, but only a life of doing good. It is impossible to be good without doing good in God’s eyes (1 John 3:7). You cannot overcome evil by refraining from evil, but you overcome evil by doing good (1 Peter 3:10-11). Jesus did not harbor any ill feelings toward others. He even did good to His enemies (Matt. 5:44). He was a good example in word and deed. Acts 10:38 simply states, "He went about doing good." He did this to please God and to be our example of how to live this holy Way (John 8:29). Jesus did good in the Father’s name and we are instructed to imitate Him (John 10:25; Eph. 5:1). We are to do all the good we do in Jesus’ name for the glory of the Father without calling attention to ourselves (Matt. 6:1; Col. 3:17). Jesus was kind, tender-hearted and forgiving (Prov. 19:22). All that Jesus was can be summarized in one simple word - charity. When we practice charity toward others in word and deed throughout the day, our sins and shortcomings are forgiven, because charity covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8; Prov. 10:12). Jesus said, "But give that which is within as charity, and all things are clean for you" (Luke 11:41). He was telling us that we can live a sinless life before God each day when all our actions come from a heart of love (Matt. 5:20; Eph. 6:6). He makes it possible, and so enjoyable (Matt. 11:29-30). It is time to have an attitude of gratitude toward God and live only to please Him each day. It is time to imitate Jesus Christ and live a life of charity, and be obedient to His word (Prov. 16:7). Now is the time to be found innocent and blameless in the midst of an increasingly perverted and sinful world (Phil. 2:15). Don’t you agree? It will be an eye-opening experience, drawing you closer to God and giving your relationship with Him more depth and meaning than ever before. *Please note there are many configurations of God’s names and they can be pronounced in a variety of ways. We looked to the Hebrew pronunciation for this feature. We have used Yahweh in place of the more common Jehovah, because Jehovah is an incorrect translation of the name YHVH (YHWH). A sixteenth-century German translator used the vowels of Adonai, from ancient Jewish texts, because they were under the consonants of YHVH. By doing this he came up with the incorrect name of Jehovah (YaHoVaH) which then spread throughout Europe. You can also refer to the Jewish Encyclopedia, where it shows Jehovah is a mispronunciation of the Hebrew name of God, Yahweh.
