  • The Message of the Apostles | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search The Message of the Apostles The apostles told people to repent as soon as they heard the true message of the kingdom of God, so they would not harden their hearts (Matt. 3:2; 4:17; Heb. 3:7-8). What is this kingdom of God the apostles were telling people to enter? This kingdom of God is within your heart (Luke 17:21, KJV). God will give you a brand new heart so that you will want to obey Him, but you must be willing to change and allow Him to change you (Heb. 8:10). You must maintain a child-like attitude to enter this kingdom (Matt. 18:3). You must have a "yes, Father, Your Will be done and not mine" attitude (Matt. 6:10). Instead of continuing to practice lawlessness, which simply means living the way that seems right to you, you agree to practice righteousness for God (Rom. 6:19; Prov. 14:12; 1 John 3:4, 7, 10). You agree to use the members of your body as instruments of righteousness (Rom. 6:13, 18-19). Jesus died for your sins that you might live to righteousness (1 Peter 2:24). You live to righteousness by practicing righteousness, with the help of His Spirit, which He gives only to those who obey Him daily (1 John 2:29; Acts 5:32). You keep His sayings and do what He has commanded (Matt. 7:24; Luke 8:21; 11:28; John 8:51; 15:14). You glorify God by doing good works, which is your spiritual service of worship and what you were created in Christ Jesus to do (Rom. 12:1-2; Eph. 2:10). Satan, who is the enemy of all righteousness, hates those who practice righteousness for God (Acts 13:10). Satan is against good works done for God's glory because he knows this is how his nature in you is crushed by God (Matt. 5:16; Rom. 16:20). God's Will is righteousness (Heb. 13:21). Once you know the Will of God, you know the Way into the kingdom, which is true conversion (Matt. 7:21). You must be zealous and persevere as you overcome evil by doing good deeds for God (1 Peter 3:13; Luke 21:19; Rom. 12:21). You will be doing Jesus Christ's deeds as you strive to enter the narrow Way leading to the kingdom of God, which very few find (Rev. 2:26; Luke 13:24; 16:16; Matt. 7:14). God's Ways are all good and you are to walk in them daily. Imitate the Way God lives and talks (Eph. 5:1; 1 Peter 4:11). Study God's word every day to find those things you can think, do and say to be pleasing in God's sight. The Lord will take notice and answer your prayers because you are living to please Him (1 John 3:22; John 9:31). Once you start, you must endure (Heb. 10:36). Don't look back, but fight the good fight of faith (Luke 17:31-32; 9:62; 1 Tim. 6:12). It's easy (Matt. 11:30)! It's worth it! It is the very purpose of this life (Acts 5:20). • A Way of Escape - Place of Safety Scriptures | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search A Way of Escape - Place of Safety Scriptures The Bible is packed full of evidence about receiving protection from what is to come in the last days. It is a reward for those who remain zealous for good deeds and who keep the word of God with perseverance (1 Peter 3:13; Rev. 3:10). It only stands to reason that since Jesus Christ is making a peculiar people who are zealous for good deeds, they would be the ones who are continually praying to be found worthy to escape what is coming and stand before the Son of Man (Titus 2:14; Luke 21:36). It is a little flock, of that you can be sure (Luke 12:32) and few are those who find the truth (Matt. 7:14). Remember, many are called and few are chosen. You must be counted worthy to inherit eternal life (Luke 20:35). If you don’t want to be considered part of the dead, you must be living to please God (Luke 20:38). There is no question that some will be hidden in the day of the Lord’s anger (Zeph. 2:3). God is going to gather us together and hide us because He has redeemed us (Zech. 10:8). It will go well with the righteous (Is. 3:10). We are going to disappear, body and all, just as Philip did (Matt. 24:40-42; Acts 8:39-40). Christ tells us to go into our rooms and hide (Is. 26:20). We are going to be hidden from Satan and protected by Christ (Is. 16:4; Rev. 12:15-17). We are going to sing aloud from Sela (Is. 42:11). We are going to be met by people who will give us bread (Is. 21:14; 33:16). We will all have our mates (Is. 34:16). We will be in caves (Is. 42:22). We are going to enter the rock and hide in the dust (Is. 2:10). We will go to a place called Sela (Is. 16:1). Bible translators thought Sela was a musical interlude (Psalm 83:8—see margin note) but in reality, Sela is another name for rock, and Petra is that rock. It is the place where the children of Israel were taken and hidden when they came out of Egypt, or sin. Consider this. If those who practice righteousness are scarcely saved, what will happen to those who do not obey the gospel (1 John 2:29; 3:7, 10; 1 Peter 4:18)? Scriptures on the Place of Safety Isaiah 16:1, 3-4 — Send the tribute lamb to the ruler of the land, from Sela by way of the wilderness to the mountain of the daughter of Zion. Give us advice, make a decision; cast your shadow like night at high noon; hide the outcasts, do not betray the fugitive. Let the outcasts of Moab stay with you; be a hiding place to them from the destroyer. For the extortioner has come to an end, destruction has ceased, oppressors have completely disappeared from the land. Isaiah 42:11 — Let the wilderness and its cities lift up their voice, the settlements where Kedar inhabits. Let the inhabitants of Sela sing aloud. Let them shout for joy from the tops of the mountains. Isaiah 44:8 — Do not tremble and do not be afraid; have I not long since announced it to you and declared it? And you are My witnesses. Is there any God besides Me, or is there any other Rock? I know of none. Isaiah 3:10 — Say to the righteous that it will go well with them, for they will eat the fruit of their actions. Isaiah 30:27 — Behold, the name of the Lord comes from a remote place; burning is His anger, and dense is His smoke; His lips are filled with indignation, and His tongue is like a consuming fire. Isaiah 26:20 — Come, My people, enter into your rooms, and close your doors behind you; hide for a little while, until indignation runs its course. Isaiah 21:14 — Bring water for the thirsty, oh inhabitants of the land of Tema. Meet the fugitive with bread. Isaiah 42:22 — But this is a people plundered and despoiled; all of them are trapped in caves, or are hidden away in prisons; they have become a prey with none to deliver them, and a spoil, with none to say, “Give them back!” Isaiah 51:1-7, 14 — Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness, who seek the Lord: look to the rock from which you were hewn, and to the quarry from which you were dug. Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah who gave birth to you in pain; when he was one I called him, then I blessed him and multiplied him. Indeed, the Lord will comfort Zion; He will comfort all her waste places. And her wilderness He will make like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and sound of a melody. Pay attention to Me, oh My people; and give ear to Me, oh My nation; for a law will go forth from Me, and I will set My justice for a light of the peoples. My righteousness is near, My salvation has gone forth, and My arms will judge the peoples; the coastlands will wait for Me, and for My arm they will wait expectantly. Lift up your eyes to the sky, then look to the earth beneath; for the sky will vanish like smoke, and the earth will wear out like a garment, and its inhabitants will die in like manner. But My salvation shall be forever, and My righteousness shall not wane. Listen to Me, you who know righteousness, a people in whose heart is My law; do not fear the reproach of man, neither be dismayed at their revilings. The exile will soon be set free, and will not die in the dungeon, nor will his bread be lacking. Isaiah 55:5 — Behold, you will call a nation you do not know, and a nation which knows you not will run to you, because of the Lord your God, even the Holy One of Israel; for He has glorified you. Isaiah 2:10 — Enter the rock and hide in the dust from the terror of the Lord and from the splendor of His majesty. Isaiah 33:16 — He will dwell on the heights; his refuge will be the impregnable rock; his bread will be given him; his water will be sure. Isaiah 34:16 — Seek from the book of the Lord and read; not one of these will be missing; none will lack its mate. For His mouth has commanded, and His Spirit has gathered them (see also Matthew 24:40-42). Isaiah 64:5 — You meet him who rejoices in doing righteousness, who remembers You in Your Ways. Isaiah 58:12 — Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins; you will raise up the age-old foundations; and you will be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of the streets in which to dwell. Psalm 27:5 — For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock. Psalm 32:7 — You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Psalm 94:8, 13 — Pay heed, you senseless among the people; and when will you understand, stupid ones? That You may grant him relief from the days of adversity, until a pit is dug for the wicked. Psalm 34:13-14 — Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit. Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. Psalm 25:20 — Guard my soul and deliver me; do not let me be ashamed, for I take refuge in You. Luke 21:36, 19 — But keep on the alert at all times, praying in order that you may be have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of man. By your endurance you will gain your lives. Revelation 12:1 — And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. Revelation 14:12 — Here is the perseverance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus. Revelation 13:10 — If any one is destined for captivity, to captivity he goes; if any one kills with the sword, with the sword he must be killed. Here is the perseverance and the faith of the saints. 1 Thessalonians 5:9 — For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. Zechariah 13:9 — And I will bring the third part through the fire, refine them as silver is refined, and test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, and I will answer them; I will say, “They are My people,” and they will say, “The Lord is my God.” Romans 2:7-10 — To those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, and eternal life; but to those who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and indignation. There will be tribulation and distress for every soul of man who does evil; but glory and honor and peace to every man who does good… Zephaniah 2:3 — Seek the Lord, all you humble of the earth who have carried out His ordinances; seek righteousness, seek humility. Perhaps you will be hidden in the day of the Lord’s anger. Matthew 24:40-41 — Then there shall be two men in the field; one will be taken, and one will be left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken, and one will be left. Acts 8:39-40 — And when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord snatched Philip away; and the eunuch saw him no more, but went on his way rejoicing. But Philip found himself at Azotus; and as he passed through he kept preaching the gospel to all the cities, until he came to Cæsarea. Zephaniah 3:8 — “Therefore, wait for Me,” declares the Lord, “for the day when I rise up as a witness. Indeed, My decision is to gather nations, to assemble kingdoms, to pour out on them My indignation, all My burning anger; for all the earth will be devoured by the fire of My zeal.” Zechariah 10:8 — I will whistle for them to gather them together, for I have redeemed them; and they will be as numerous as they were before. Hosea 10:12 — Sow with a view to righteousness, reap in accordance with kindness; break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the Lord until He comes to rain righteousness on you. Hosea 12:6 — Therefore, return to your God, observe kindness and justice, and wait for your God continually. Revelation 3:10 — Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell upon the earth. • How Do We Live to the Spirit? | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search How Do We Live to the Spirit? In Galatians 5:16, the Apostle Paul says that disciples of Jesus Christ should walk by the Spirit so they do not carry out the desires of the flesh. It seems evident that Jesus Christ, our Savior, walked by the Spirit, because He did not carry out the desires of the flesh, which is sin. To walk by the Spirit is to live to the Spirit, and that Spirit is God (John 4:24). You walk in the Spirit by walking in the commandments. This is what a disciple of Jesus Christ is expected to do (2 John 6). These commandments are not burdensome to keep (1 John 5:3). In fact, they are easy and pleasant to keep (Matt. 11:28-30). They are not the commandments of Moses, but rather the Way of life that Jesus came to tell us about, as found in Matthew, chapters 5, 6 and 7—the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus says anyone who lives this Way and teaches it to others will be called great in the kingdom of heaven (Matt. 5:19). In order to keep this Way, you must act upon the words of Jesus Christ (Matt. 7:24; Luke 8:21; 11:28). If you look at some of the more modern Bible translations, you will see the phrases, “puts them into practice”; “who hear and practice the word of God”; and “put it into practice.” Yes, God wants you to practice the truth because that’s the key to finding out what the truth or light is (John 3:21). The truth is the sayings of Christ, which we are to put into practice daily in our lives (John 12:47). Those sayings represent the Will of God. You must be willing to do God’s Will in order to understand the teaching (John 7:17). You will be putting to death the deeds of the body as you live to the Spirit (Rom. 8:13). Living to the Spirit, then, is overcoming your evil, human nature by practicing the deeds of Christ (Rev. 2:26). We must overcome evil by doing good and by being zealous for good deeds (Rom. 12:21; 1 Peter 3:13). We must do these deeds in the name of Christ, which allows God to crush our satanic nature and put it under our control (Col. 3:17; Rom. 16:20). That is fighting the good fight of faith and that’s living by the Spirit (2 Tim. 4:7; Rom. 8:14). • Conditions for the Blood of Jesus | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Conditions for the Blood of Jesus The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all of our sins - past, present and future. But are there any conditions that must be met before the blood applies? Yes, 1 Peter 1:2 says we must obey Jesus Christ first. What happens when a person repents and is baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins? Everyone knows that disciples of Jesus Christ are to live a different way of life. Some people today are simply told to stop sinning. Others are told only what the church expects of them in order to be right with God in the eyes of that particular faith. Some are told that God wants them to keep the Ten Commandments, love God and love their fellow man, but it is never explained to them how this is done. One thing is for sure, there is much confusion as to exactly what you should do after you are baptized. Man might be confused, but God is not the author of confusion (1 Cor. 14:33). Satan is that author and he loves to leave you hanging. He gives you information, but never enough to make a permanent change for the good in your life. Jesus came that we might have peace, abundance and joy in our daily lives (John 10:10; 17:13; Acts 3:19, 26; Rom. 14:17). In 1 Peter 2:24 it says, "Jesus Christ bore our sins in His body, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness." How do you live to righteousness? Simply practice righteousness (1 John 2:29; 3:7, 10). How do you practice righteousness? Engage in good deeds (Titus 3:8; Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13). To what degree should you do them? Zealously (1 Peter 3:13; Matt. 5:20)! Why zealously? Because zealously overcoming evil with good, along with daily study of God’s word and prayer, is putting on the full armor of God (Rom. 12:21; Eph. 6:11). Most people who profess Jesus Christ as their Savior are totally unaware of this. What can you do to practice righteousness? Look for people who are in need and help them (Matt. 25:33-40). Share your clothes, your food, your money, your time and your love with them (Luke 3:10-11; James 2:15-26; 1 John 3:17-19). Entertain widows, orphans, the blind, lame and poor (Luke 14:13). Have them over for dinner. Do something; do not just sit there (Titus 1:16; 2:7)! Walk in the light. Keep yourself busy with acts of righteousness, charity and love. Be like Dorcas (Acts 9:36; 10:35). Then the blood of Jesus Christ can cover your sins (1 John 1:7; 1 Peter 1:2; Acts 5:32; Luke 6:46; 11:28; Matt. 7:24; James 1:22; John 12:47-48). Remember, if good works cover a multitude of sins, you had better have some, don’t you think (1 Peter 4:8, 18; James 5:20)? • Feeling Bad? | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Feeling Bad? How many people do you know who feel bad about things (Matt. 11:28-30)? They feel bad because they do not have more money. They feel bad about the cars they drive and the houses in which they live. They feel bad about their neighbors. They feel bad because they are on the heavy side or too thin. They look in the mirror and say, "If I only had dark hair, a prettier nose, or was taller…" White people spend hours in the sun to turn a golden brown. Sometimes dark-skinned people use a cream to lighten their skin. Human beings are never satisfied. They are overcome by their anxieties. One minute they are up and the next minute they are down. One minute they feel like throwing in the towel, the next minute they say, "I have no problems. I would be perfectly all right if it were not for those good for nothing…" Why do those who profess to be Christians continue to live to the flesh, when it is so easy to live to the Spirit and feel good about everything (Gal. 5:16, 25)? The word of God tells us to seek peace and earnestly pursue it (1 Peter 3:11). It says, "Whatever is peaceful, lovely and good, think on these things." (Phil. 4:8-9). Disciples of Jesus Christ have bad moments, not bad days! When we do good works to glorify the Father, as Jesus commanded us to do, we allow the Father to form Jesus Christ’s nature within us (Rom. 2:6-8; Matt. 5:16; Gal. 4:19). We may even do greater works than Jesus did, because He had to return to the Father (John 14:12). We overcome our natures by keeping the works of Jesus Christ (Rev. 2:26). We discipline ourselves according to godliness by imitating God and by doing His works, which are good works (1 Tim. 4:7; Eph. 5:1; 1 Cor. 11:1; Matt. 25:33-46). Jesus died so we could be free of guilt. When we live to please Him, we no longer need to feel guilty or have bad days. Instead, we will only have bad moments, which never turn into bad days because we cast all our cares into God’s lap. God said He will provide us with everything if we practice His righteousness and seek His kingdom first (Matt. 6:33; Rom. 10:3). So have a good day! • God’s Nature vs. Human Nature | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search God’s Nature vs. Human Nature Once it is understood what God’s nature is and that it is obtained by getting rid of human nature, we can begin to clearly understand the conversion process for true disciples of Jesus Christ. God’s method is very thorough and requires diligence on our part. God knows that what we diligently practice to be, we will eventually become. This process of having God’s nature formed in us begins when we start to practice righteousness for God on a daily basis. We cannot be persecuted for righteousness unless we practice righteousness, can we? Noah couldn’t be a preacher of righteousness unless he practiced righteousness (2 Peter 2:5; Gen. 6:9). Once we understand that God is righteous in regard to all His deeds, and that we are, by nature, evil and the most we can do is practice righteousness and allow God to do the perfecting, we can truly understand the phrase, “Righteous men made perfect” (Psalm 11:7; 33:5; 116:5; 129:4; 145:17; Heb. 12:23). God makes us perfect through suffering, the same as Jesus Christ, our example, was perfected through suffering (Heb. 5:8-9). God tries and tests His disciples until the old nature is crushed and the new nature is perfected (Rom. 16:20; Heb. 12:11; 1 Peter 5:10; 4:12). Human nature will not die without a fight. That’s why you must fight the good fight of faith, and have faith that God will implant His nature in you (1 Tim. 6:12; Psalm 4:5; Phil. 2:12). You will then be a new creature in Christ Jesus (Col. 1:28; 2 Cor. 5:17). When you have this new godly nature, then you will be righteous in all you do. You’ll be like Jesus because you will be keeping His deeds (Rev. 2:26). When all you do is righteousness, then all you’ll reap is blessings. You will be living the abundant life, full of joy and peace, that Jesus Christ came to show you (John 10:10; Acts 3:19, 26). You will understand that you were created to do good works and that the message of eternal life is righteousness (Eph. 2:10; John 8:51). Satan hates it when you practice righteousness for God’s glory because this is how he is put to death in your flesh (Matt. 5:16). Don’t let him stop you! Be zealous for good deeds and overcome your human nature (1 Peter 3:13; Rom. 12:21; Psalm 37:27). That’s how you resist Satan and have God’s nature formed in you (James 4:7; Eph. 6:11, 13). The God of peace and love, who is calling you to this holy Way of life, will soon crush Satan under your feet, and after you have suffered a little, God will perfect His nature in you (Rom. 16:20; 1 Peter 5:10; Gal. 4:19). Once we are involved in the godly process, God considers us perfect, blameless, holy, upright and sinless. Our sins are forgiven—past, present and future. They are not held against us, but are sealed in a bag (Job 14:16-17). God’s Ways are so wonderful that they are beyond human understanding; that’s why you need God’s Spirit to understand them. Start living for Him and ask Him for His Spirit, and He will give it to you (Acts 5:32; Luke 11:13).❑ PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME All About the Bible PDF © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • Good News About the Kingdom | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Good News About the Kingdom Jesus Christ is coming soon as King of kings to rule all the nations with a rod of iron. He has promised co-rulership with Him to those of us who overcome (Rev. 2:26-27). Some of us will be kings and some priests and we will reign on this earth (Rev. 5:10). The good news is that we can enter that kingdom and become a part of it now. This comes about when God puts a new heart in us that will want to obey Him, as He promised He would. The good news is that Christ’s Way of life is very easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30). You see, it has to be simple because God is calling the sinners and not the righteous. He is calling the prostitutes and thieves, the lowly and simple, the foolish and base things of the world. Surprise! He is going to make world leaders out of these people to shame the wise (1 Cor. 1:26-29). How do we enter this kingdom and receive a new heart? We must practice righteous works - Jesus Christ’s works. It would be impossible to overcome our evil natures by keeping our old works of the flesh (Rev. 2:26; John 14:12). When everything we do in good works and good words is done in His name and not for self, then we are doing Christ’s works (Col. 3:17). If we are doing our works for Jesus Christ to glorify the Father, then they are not our own works, but Christ’s. We are keeping Christ’s sayings. Whatever He says to do, we do. We live to please the Father daily by glorifying Him the way He wants to be glorified - with good works (Matt. 5:16)! As soon as Satan’s nature is crushed inside you and put under your control, you have overcome the evil one (Rom. 16:20; 1 John 2:13-14). When your righteousness comes from the heart and you no longer have to force yourself to do God’s Will, you become a happy slave of righteousness (Eph. 6:6; Luke 16:16; Rom. 6:18). Do not delay. Start today, so Satan does not take away your desire to become a new creature (Gal. 6:15). • Building Your Faith in God | Daily Grains

Building Your Faith in God Jesus Christ had faith in His Father because He respected His Father’s Will. He used His Father as an example. Whatever He saw His Father do, He did likewise. His Father loved Him and showed Him all things. Christ did nothing of His own initiative but He only did what He was taught by His Father to do. He always did things that were pleasing to His Father. Disciples of Jesus Christ must also learn to love and imitate the Father by doing the same deeds that Christ did—helping the poor, lame and blind; in general, living a life of doing good. We overcome our sinful natures by doing so. When we become zealous for good deeds and endure to the end, the Father is glorified. This is the way the Father wishes to be worshiped. We must be careful to do these things in the name of Jesus Christ, for the glory of the Father in heaven. Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner. 20 For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself is doing; and the Father will show Him greater works than these, so that you will marvel. John 5:19-20 So Jesus said, “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and I do nothing on My own initiative, but I speak these things as the Father taught Me. 29 And He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him.” John 8:28, 29 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. Ephesians 5:1 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. Romans 12:9 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21 He who overcomes, and he who keeps My deeds until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations. Revelations 2:26 Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth. 19 We will know by this that we are of the truth, and will assure our heart before Him. 1 John 3:18-19 Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father. • Jesus, Our Example | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Jesus, Our Example Jesus is our example. One of the reasons He came to this earth was to show us and tell us the Way to live. We, as His true disciples, are to walk in the same manner as He walked, which means to live as He lived (1 John 2:6). How, then, did Jesus live? Jesus did not live to please Himself (Rom. 15:3). Instead, He lived to glorify God. Jesus’ purpose was to do God’s Will on earth as it is being done in heaven and to accomplish that which He was prophesied to accomplish in the word of the prophets (John 4:34; Luke 24:44). People asked Jesus how they could do the works of God and He told them they must believe in Him whom God has sent (John 6:28-29). Very few know that the word believe means adhere to the teachings of, put your trust in, take action and live the message of Jesus Christ. Believe also means obey (John 3:36; 11:25-26). Jesus said He was among us as one who serves (Luke 22:27). He instructed His disciples to be servants of all (Mark 9:35). He said, "For he who is least among you, this is the one who is great" (Luke 9:48). Jesus took the form of a servant to show us how to serve one another in love (Phil. 2:7). He was a servant to others for the glory of God (Matt. 5:16). He said His Way is easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30). So the one who is great in the eyes of God is the one who serves others in love, just as Jesus did (Matt. 20:26-28). Jesus is making disciples who are zealous for good works (Titus 2:14). People who obey Him and worship the Father by practicing good works of love in serving others, are the ones who let their lights shine (Matt. 5:16). They are the righteous ones in God’s eyes because they practice righteousness continually for God (1 John 3:7, 10; 3 John 11). If it is with difficulty that the righteous - those who practice righteousness daily for God - are saved, what will become of the godless people and the sinners - those who will not practice righteousness for God by serving others (1 Peter 4:18; Matt. 25:41-46)? wholewheatonline.com Search How to Be a Good Person Our Father in heaven wants us to be good sons and daughters for Him. He wants us to respect Him. He wants us to love Him wholeheartedly (Deut. 6:5). He wants us to stop swearing, so we will not bring curses upon ourselves. He wants us to stop dwelling on what is evil, because those evil thoughts will eventually become evil actions. He wants us to practice moderation in all things, because He does not want us to hurt ourselves. He wants us to do good things that help us, instead of bad things that can harm us (Deut. 6:18, 24). He wants us to stay out of trouble, by engaging in good and productive things (Titus 3:14). What better way could there be, to do good things, than to help those who are in need? By helping the blind, the lame, the sick and the elderly, we learn to care for others in need (Luke 14:13-14; 10:37). We learn to be sensitive to the needs of others. We learn compassion, forgiveness, patience, kindness, goodness, joy, faithfulness, gentleness, and most of all, how to love our neighbor. These are the fruits of the Spirit, which come from serving others in a godly way every day (Gal. 5:22-24). Remember, the greatest in the kingdom will be the servant of the most (Matt. 25:33-40; 23:11; Mark 9:35; 10:43-44)! • Pure Speech Undefiled | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Pure Speech Undefiled “Do not let immorality or impurity or greed even be named among you,” the apostle Paul said (Eph. 5:3). Then he went on to say what things are displeasing to God. Among the things God hates, Paul listed filthy talk, the telling of dirty stories or jokes, and coarse jesting (Eph. 5:4). All of these things are in bad taste. We know this, yet many of us continue to struggle to please God in this area. We all know what filthy talk is. God hates it, so let’s put it to death in our natures for good. Coarse jesting includes making crude remarks about sexual or private matters. Many of us kid with one another about our personal lives. This is coarse jesting and does not please God. Coarse jesting and filthy talk are often preceded by silly talk. Silly talk is constantly twisting the meaning of words to make people laugh. This kind of speech leads toward Satan and not toward God. Do not confuse this with good, tasteful humor, which we all enjoy. I am talking about the kind of humor that leads to silly talk. Silly talk then leads to jokes, first clean ones, then off-color ones, and talk that results in coarse jesting and talking about things that should be private. We are all human and all have problems controlling our speech to some extent. Many times we use impure speech because of a poor self-image, or as a means of attracting attention. The word of God says this is naughty speech. It is fleshy lust that wages war against our souls (1 Peter 2:11). God is calling us to repentance (1 Cor. 1:26-28). We have received the same power in us, which created the universe. We have God’s awesome power at our disposal. Nothing shall be impossible to us. We, as Jesus Christ’s living examples, need to be careful what we say, and be sober. We need to make the words that come out of our mouths the same as if they were the utterances of God (1 Peter 4:11). Remember, God hates a perverted mouth (Psalm 59:12-13; Prov. 8:13. Jesus Christ committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth. He is our example. We imitate Jesus Christ daily, and when we do, we are doing God’s Will (1 Peter 2:22). We are doing what is right, and by our actions and pure speech, we silence those who are ignorant, foolish and engaging in silly talk, coarse jesting and filthy, dirty or off-color jokes. The Lord also wants us to stop watching violence. God hates the one who watches violence on television, in sports, wars, etc. (Psalm 11:5). And you can be sure that God will test you on this point. God hates those who do not pay their bills when they are able. “The wicked borrows and does not pay back, but the righteous is gracious and gives” (Psalm 37:21). God also hates the arrogant and those who are full of pride (Prov. 8:13). How can we know if we are arrogant and full of pride? The arrogant refuse to be told what to do, not even by God. They are so completely into self, they are out of touch with God. They do not put God first by studying the Bible on a regular basis. They are too busy to be bothered by what God wants. They pray to God when they’re in trouble or in need of things, but rarely pray for others. They are so busy with worldly pursuits they don’t have time for God. They never seem to realize that God butters their bread and takes care of all their needs when they live to please Him in all areas of their lives. God’s self-improvement program requires daily obedience, diligence, perseverance and consistency in order to work. That is why we must put God first in all we do. By practicing the things that are right, for God’s glory, we seek the kingdom first in our lives (Matt. 6:33). How can we seek God everyday unless we read from His book, live it and pray? The person who pays attention to God’s word finds good (Prov. 16:20). God hates people who continually boast about themselves (Prov. 30:32). This is pride of self. God is a God of knowledge who weighs actions, not just words (1 Sam. 2:3). How many times have you heard someone boast of his honesty saying, “I am a man of my word. When I say I will do something, I will do it.” Other times you hear people say, “I will be there, you can count on me.” In fact, many times, this does not end up to be the case. All such boasting is evil and we should always say God willing (2 Tim. 3:1-5; James 4:13-17). God says He is going to punish today’s world for its evil. He will also punish the wicked who know the right thing to do but do not do it (Matt. 25:33-46; Is. 13:11). The wicked are an abomination to God, but those who practice righteousness at all times are His delight (Prov. 15:9; Psalm 106:3). Woe to those who rebel against the words of God, for everyone will be judged by His words (Psalm 107:11; John 12:48; Rev. 20:12). To sum it up, let all be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted and humble in spirit. Do not return evil for evil or insult for insult. Give a blessing instead because we were called for the purpose of receiving a blessing. Do not speak evil of each other. Continually forgive others their transgressions. Love one another continually by constantly serving each other from the heart. Eat with one another often; get together often for fun times that glorify God. Go camping, have picnics, cookouts and get-togethers of all kinds for reasons of sharing love. If some of us are going to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters who are living to please God, then we had better get to know each other from the heart now! In all this, do not forget the poor, the needy, the widows, the elderly and the orphans (Luke 14:13). When we know that any kind of sin, which remains in our lives, is withholding what is good from us and is displeasing to the Lord, shouldn’t we get rid of our sin (Jer. 5:25)? Why should we, of all people, continue to live in sin when we know how easy it is to come out of sin (Matt. 11:30)? Read this article again and again, and ask God to search your heart to see if there is any wickedness in you. Ask Him to cleanse you from secret faults. Practice righteousness and practice being humble. Perhaps you will be hidden in the day of the Lord’s anger, which is coming soon (Zeph. 2:3). • The Importance of Loving Your Neighbor | Daily Grains

The Importance of Loving Your Neighbor Loving our neighbor as ourself is putting the other person’s welfare, comfort and well-being ahead of our own. For example, if we are to be servants of the most, we must get used to eating last, after the guests are fed, like true maids and butlers of God. Maybe we won’t be the best, but that does not excuse us from trying our best. Remember, God looks on the heart. That is why the widow who gave a penny was serving more than the rich who gave of their abundance. The rich are being called to be rich in good works so they can keep their minds off their money and the love of it, and more on God by serving others. Practicing love toward our neighbor requires that we aren’t giving in to our evil natures. Instead, practicing love means following the example of the three monkeys who see no evil, hear no evil and say no evil to their neighbor. This, indeed, pleases God and is how He begins to crush our satanic nature. Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; 4 do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. Philippians 2:3-4 So the last shall be first, and the first last. Matthew 20:16 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7 And He said, “Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all of them; 4 for they all out of their surplus put into the offering; but she out of her poverty put in all that she had to live on.” Luke 21:3-4 For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.17 Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy. 18 Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, 19 storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is life indeed. 1 Timothy 6:10, 17-19 For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. Galations 5:13 See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek after that which is good for one another and for all people. 1 Thessalonians 5:15 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. Coming Under God's Protection When you please God, He protects you from your enemies and even makes them be at peace with you. Jesus told you not to fear men or what they can do to the body. Instead, you are to fear God, who has the power to kill both the body and the soul. Yes, God can destroy the soul of a man! When you obey God by walking the holy Way He walks, you are doing the Will of God on this earth daily as it is being done in heaven. When you obey God, you become eligible for all the benefits that come from serving the Creator of heaven and earth. God protects you in famine and war, from violence, wild beasts and theft. He gives you long life and healthy children. The Lord will protect you from all evil and sickness if you are keeping His Ways. You do this by practicing righteousness and honesty in all your dealings with man, just as Abraham did. God will protect you if you learn and practice what pleases Him and bring up your children in the Ways of the Lord. When a man’s ways are pleasing to the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. Proverbs 16:7 Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28 The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, And rescues them. Psalm 34:7 The Lord will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul. Psalm 121:7 For I have chosen him, so that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing righteousness and justice, so that the Lord may bring upon Abraham what He has spoken about him. • Are You a Hypocrite? | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Are You a Hypocrite? You may have heard that a hypocrite is one who says one thing and does another. Although this is one of the definitions, God’s word indicates there are others also. The Pharisees or religious leaders of Jesus’ day were guilty of doing good for the wrong reasons. They did good to be seen of men. They wanted glory from men and not from God. When someone gave a large donation, the Rabbi would give that person honorable mention from the pulpit. These leaders would disfigure their faces when they fasted because they wanted everyone to know they were fasting. By doing this, they would be thought of as being righteous. Because these religious leaders were doing good for self and not in secret for God, they were hypocrites. These Pharisees were becoming more and more evil in their hearts because they were not overcoming evil by doing good daily for God. Instead, they were doing good for their own self esteem. They became more and more hypocritical until they were exposed by their own wickedness. This same thing is happening to some of the television evangelists today. You may think it is only a few, but keep your eyes open - be alert - the Lord will show you. Another type of hypocrite is the person who is double-minded. This person constantly professes what is right, yet constantly does what is wrong. This person has troubles because he is not doing right even though he professes it. He is a hypocrite because his life isn’t devoted to what is right. He is still very much in the world. He is worldly, carnal-minded, fleshly, and unstable in all his ways (James 1:8). Yet, because of inconsistency and wrong motives, they fall away and lose interest when tests and trials come (Matt. 13:21). The righteous must be tried and tested in order to build endurance and steadfastness so they will persevere to the end. You seek God by doing good to please Him daily (Rom. 3:10-12). By doing nothing, you remain a child of Satan (1 John 3:10). Many think the children of Satan do or practice what is wrong. They never consider that by doing nothing good, they are in fact doing evil. The sin of omission is the same as commission as far as God is concerned. If you are not doing good toward God daily, you remain an enemy of God because you are not practicing righteousness toward God and thus imitating Him (Eph. 5:1). Abraham practiced righteousness toward God when he did good unto the strangers in Genesis 18. Likewise, Lot was at the gate of the city looking for someone who needed a place to stay because he knew how dangerous it was for someone to stay outside in that evil city. He not only protected the strangers from evil, but he also entertained them with food and good company and gave them a place to rest. God considered Abraham and Lot righteous because of their conduct toward others. Job was also considered righteous because he constantly did good for God in all aspects of his life. Job knew he was going through a test from God (Job 2:10; 5:17-18; 13:9). Job helped the blind, the lame, the elderly, the widows and the orphans (Job 29:12-17). Many do not know that hidden in the book of Job is the fact that Job raised two orphans - a boy and a girl - and they ate at his table (Job 31:16-19). Yes, the Lord Himself said Job was righteous because of this. Job was turning away from evil by doing this (Job 1:1-8; 2:3). Can the Lord say these things about you, or are you still serving Satan by doing evil or doing nothing (1 John 3:7-10)? You cannot be holy and continue to do nothing for God. In fact, unless you are holy, you will not see the Lord (Heb. 12:10, 14) or be raised to immortality (John 5:29). Remember, only those who do good for God continually are of God (3 John 11). They are justified by Jesus Christ’s blood because they obey Him and become doers of God’s word (2 Tim. 3:17; James 1:22; 1 Peter 1:2). They will be the ones who receive glory, honor and immortality (Rom. 2:7, 10). We were created to do good works in the name of Jesus Christ for the glory of the Father (Eph. 2:10; Col. 3:17). Let’s not remain hypocrites or children of Satan. Instead let’s fulfill the purpose for which we were created. • Come Out of Their Midst and Be Separate | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Come Out of Their Midst and Be Separate Believe it or not, we live in an uncivilized world. God has shown man that they are but beasts (Eccl. 3:18). Mankind has a heart that is desperately wicked and more deceitful than anything you can imagine. It is so evil, it is impossible to know (Jer. 17:9 King James Version). The days are only getting darker and the world revealing more wickedness as each day goes by. When humans do not obey the Lord, they are like brute beasts (Psalm 73:22). They are self-willed and indulge in the flesh with its corrupt desires, despising the authority of God, instead of living a life of doing good and doing God’s Will (Gal. 5:18-20; Rom. 1:24-32). Doing God’s Will is practicing kindness, justice and goodness towards others. Humans remain creatures of instinct doing Satan’s will in their bodies; they are like beasts meant to be destroyed (2 Tim. 2:26; 2 Peter 2:10). When you have human nature, you are by nature a brute beast (Jude 10). Becoming civilized, then, is a process of living by every word of God (Deut. 8:3; Prov. 30:5; Matt. 4:4). It was never meant for man, whom God created, to direct his own steps and live by the way he thought was best for himself (Jer. 10:23). Mankind was to walk in, live by or keep all of God’s Ways, which God has commanded us to keep for our own good (Deut. 5:33; 8:6; 10:12-13; 19:9). God’s thoughts are not our thoughts, neither are God’s Ways our ways. God’s Ways are all righteous; our ways are all wicked (Is. 55:8; Psalm 145:17). All our ways and thoughts are not good (Is. 65:2). This is why God says, in Isaiah 40:17, that all nations before Him are as nothing. They are accounted to Him as less than nothing, yet there were times when God would spare a whole city if there was just one person who was practicing charity towards others (doing justice) and seeking the truth (Jer. 5:1; Gen. 18:22-32; Dan. 4:35). When will mankind realize it is God Almighty who makes nations great and then destroys them when they forsake Him (Is. 60:12)? God has a policy and He does not change (Mal. 3:6). All nations who forget God will return to the grave (Psalm 9:17; 10:16). It is God who rules over the nations (Psalm 22:28; Job 12:23). Jesus is returning soon to set up His kingdom, which will have no end (Luke 1:33). It will be a kingdom where only righteousness dwells. People will only be keeping God’s Ways and doing God’s Will towards one another each and every day. All the nations who are left will come up from year to year at Jerusalem so they may learn God’s Ways in order to be civilized (Is. 2:3; Micah 4:2). Are you becoming civilized by keeping God’s Ways and doing God’s Will on this earth daily as it is being done by God in heaven (Matt. 6:10)? Are you practicing deeds of kindness and love to everyone you meet? Are you becoming born again by practicing righteousness towards your fellow man daily as Jesus gave us example to do (1 John 2:29)? Are you living this Way for Christ (Col. 3:17)? The Lord is coming soon! It’s time to get on His side, so we are off of His hit list (Is. 66:16). Separate yourself from the world and all of its foolishness (Rev. 18:4; 2 Cor. 6:17-18). Draw away from the world and its distractions, and instead draw near to God and His wisdom (1 John 5:19; Mark 4:19; Mark 8:36; James 4:8). Don’t allow yourself to be influenced by others in your life, who are not living God’s truth wholeheartedly (2 Thess. 2:10-12). Do not allow yourself to be influenced by television, movies, the internet, political figures and those of the world promoting themselves and their worldly causes (Luke 9:25, John 15:19; 1 John 2:15-17). When we look at the definition of faction, in Noah Webster’s 1828 dictionary, it means - A party: in political society, combined or acting in union. It also means, discord, dissension, tumult (the commotion, disturbance or agitation of a multitude usually accompanied with great noise, uproar, confusion of voices). We know who the author of confusion is, Satan himself (1 Cor. 14:33). God uses factions, whether political or other groups in our lives, to reveal who have godly character and are approved, according to Him, so that they may clearly be seen (1 Cor. 11:19; 2 Peter 1:4). These groups reveal who is like-minded, and when it comes to factions, that means like-minded in the world. A faction is listed in Galatians 5:20 as a deed of the flesh, and it tells us that those that participate in the deeds of the flesh will not inherit the kingdom of God (Gal. 5:19-21). God says we are to be in full agreement in what we say, so that there be no factions among us (1 Cor. 1:10 AMP). That we be perfectly united in our way of thinking and judgement, according to God and His Ways (Phil. 2:2; Titus 3:9). We cannot be united if we are divided by anything of this world. We are to do nothing from empty conceit (through factional motives or strife) but with an attitude of humility being neither arrogant or self-righteous, regarding others as more important than yourselves (Phil. 2:3 AMP). It is more important than ever to align yourself only with God and leave all worldliness behind; whether politics, or any other worldly group or individual that promotes something other than the whole truth of God’s Will for us (2 Tim. 3:1-7 AMP). The wisdom and the knowledge of this world is foolishness before God (1 Cor. 3:19). God’s word says that the knowledge of this world is demonic, which means it comes from demons (James 3:15; 2 Thess. 2:2; 1 Tim. 4:1). And be careful, as many will seem as though they promote God but secretly have another agenda (Matt.7:15; 2 Cor. 11:13-15). Isn’t that what is going to happen when the antichrist comes (Rev. 20:1-3)? The message will be so similar to God’s truth, that even the elect, if possible, will be deceived (Matt. 24:24; Mark 13:22). This is why it is so important not to get swept up in what is happening in the world (Luke 21:34-35; Col. 3:2; Heb. 12:1). This is why it is so important to build, and maintain, your stand-alone faith. If we are not studying daily and reminding ourselves continually of this truth, and God’s Ways, then Satan can use that as an open door to manipulate and confuse us (1 Cor. 14:33; John 6:33; Matt. 6:11). We must be sober and spiritually aware to what is all around us (1 Pet. 5:8). It is crucial, as the world is deteriorating and more divided than ever (Mark 3:23-26). Be on the alert, at all times, for deception. We are in the midst of spiritual warfare and must have our spiritual armor on at all times (Eph. 6:10-18). We must be united with God, and only God, knowing we come under His protection and promises (Phil. 2:2; Heb. 4:2; Psalm 91:1-3; Heb. 6:11-13). Remember always that God is in control and He is in the process of fulfilling His plan for this world (Isa. 25:1; Jer. 23:20). We do not want to get in the way of His plan. And, we certainly do not want to be stumbling blocks to anyone who is trying to enter the kingdom, because God is going to make a determination between the righteous and the wicked, the sheep and the goats, the wheat and the tares, the good fish and the bad fish, and the hearers of His word and the doers of His word (Matt. 18:7-9; Rev. 3:15-16; Matt. 23:13). He is making a determination between the ones who are civilized and those who choose not to be civilized (Mal. 3:18; Matt. 25:40-41; 13:37-38, 29-30, 48; James 1:22; John 5:29; Rom. 2:7). The faith of those who have good works is not dead, but alive (James 2:14-26)! Doing good is what makes people civilized. Stay close to God, stay in prayer and study your Bible daily to remind yourself of the truth of His Ways (James 4:8; 1 Thess. 5:17; 2 Tim. 2:15; 2 Pet. 1:13; 2 Pet. 3:1). If you come out of the world and are separate, standing with the Lord, you will be His and He will be yours (2 Cor. 6:16-18). It will surely serve you well in the end (Eph. 4:1-3; 1 Tim. 1:5; Matt. 25:21). • Doing God's Will With Your Mouth | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Doing God's Will With Your Mouth You may recall seeing the three monkeys that depict hear no evil, see no evil and speak no evil. It is true that what we see with our eyes and hear with our ears affects how we think, and has a direct bearing on what we say. If we train our ears and eyes not to listen to or look upon violence, we will have a better attitude mentally. Watching television shows or movies that depict violence, sexual promiscuity or perversion does have a lasting harmful effect on the human brain. God hates those who love violence (Psalm 11:5). He also hates the perverted mouth (Prov. 8:13). God hates evil. He hates people who are arrogant and full of pride, He loves righteousness (Psalm 11:7). God wants us to keep our tongues from speaking evil, lying and from using naughty talk which includes telling dirty jokes (Psalm 34:11-13). He wants us to depart from the evil way by doing good (Psalm 34:14-15; 37:27). When all our words are good, God will satisfy us with good. Just as the deeds of a man’s hands return to him, so also do the words of his mouth. God watches everything we do (Prov. 12:14; 15:3). Fools mock when they are told to stop sinning so God can bless them (Prov. 14:9). God says we are fools if our mouths are perverted (Prov. 19:1). Christ, our example, did not swear and neither should we (1 Peter 2:22; 4:11). We should not quarrel with our mouths (Prov. 20:1-3). It is by our deeds of mouth, as well as body, that we distinguish ourselves as righteous or wicked (Prov. 20:11). We are to put our lives in order, in a right and pleasing way, before God. This is how we show God we are thankful to know Him and have His protection and blessings (Psalm 18:47). Sure, it is a sacrifice, a sacrifice of righteousness and thanksgiving (Psalm 50:22-23; Heb. 13:16). Let's live our lives so we will see good days (1 Peter 3:10-13). Let us not be numbered with those who turned against righteousness (2 Peter 2:21; 1 John 1: 6). How can we, who told God we would die to sin, keep on sinning (Rom. 6:2, 23)? Let us abhor what is evil and not disqualify ourselves from eternal life (Rom. 12:9; 1 Cor. 9:27). Let us seek our neighbor’s good, and not our own first, when we talk (1 Cor. 10:24). Let all that we say be said in love because this pleases God in heaven (1 Cor. 16:14; 2 Cor 5:9). Let us not continue to be "sons of disobedience," getting drunk and using our mouths for evil, but please Him in all respects (Eph. 2:1-3; 5:18; Col. 1:10, 12). Consider the members of your body as dead to sin (Col. 3:5-17). Clean up your mouth, put on the new self and do all that you do for God (Col. 3:23-25; Mark 7:20, 23). • Be Perfect | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Be Perfect When the word of God says, "Be perfect," it means exactly what it says (Matt. 5:48; James 1:4; Heb. 12:23). But how can we be perfect? First of all, let’s realize that Jesus Christ was perfect, as His heavenly Father is perfect. He did the Father’s Will instead of His own (John 6:38). That is what made Him perfect. He kept the Father’s sayings and He lived exactly as He saw the Father live. Anyone who lives as God lives will suffer persecution, so Christ suffered persecution (2 Tim. 3:12). The Bible commands, "Discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness" (1 Tim. 4:7). How do you do that? Keep God’s Ways and do God’s Will on earth as it is done in heaven (Matt. 6:10). Psalm 145:17 says, "The Lord is righteous in all His Ways, and kind in all His deeds." Then, it stands to reason that a disciple of Jesus Christ should strive to be righteous in all his ways and kind in all his deeds. If you know Jesus Christ was righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is truly born of Him (1 John 2:29). And this is the key! When you practice righteousness, you are righteous in God’s eyes (1 John 3:7). You have begun the godly process that allows God the Father to make you perfect (Heb. 12:23). By doing good deeds for God, you are practicing the truth that is according to godliness (Titus 3:8; 1:1; John 3:21). You have nothing to worry about now because you are a doer of the word as well as a servant of God (James 1:22; 1 Peter 3:13). Very few people know that the word "perfect" used in Matthew 5:48 and Philippians 3:15 means "spiritually mature." Spiritually mature disciples do not practice sin in their lives. Instead, they overcome sin and its temptations by continually doing good for God. No one who is truly born of God practices sin any longer in his life; and because he is born of God and God’s Spirit (seed) abides in him, he cannot sin (1 John 3:9). Those who belong to Jesus Christ have crucified the flesh with its evil practices and desires (Gal. 5:24). With the help of God’s Spirit, they put to death the things in their lives that are not pleasing to God (Rom. 8:13). Now, they walk in the Spirit and no longer carry out the evil passions they once had (Gal. 5:16). Jesus crushed Satan’s nature in them, with their help, and now they are new creations with His nature formed in them (Rom. 16:20; Gal. 4:19; 6:15). They are now perfect or complete (2 Cor. 13:9, 11). They are spiritually mature. They are truly born again and the evil one does not touch them (1 John 5:18). They have overcome the evil one (1 John 2:13-14). They are perfect because God has perfected them. PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME All About the Bible PDF © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • How Father's Can Do God's Will | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search How Father's Can Do God's Will God wants to bless families, but He cannot unless the family members allow Him to bless them by being obedient to His Ways. In God’s plan for marriage, husbands are the leaders, providers and disciplinarians; while wives are the helpers, encouragers and homemakers (Eph. 5:22-23; Prov. 22:6; 31:10-31; Heb. 12:9; Gen. 2:18). God chose Abraham because He knew he would bring up his children and the rest of the household in the Ways of the Lord. He would encourage them to practice righteousness and honesty in all their dealings with their fellow man, and he would be a godly example himself (Gen. 18:19). Abraham brought up his children with discipline and instructed them in the Ways of the Lord. He was careful not to over-discipline his children so as to discourage them from living God’s Way (Eph. 6:4; Col. 3:21). Children learn respect for their parents through balanced discipline and love. "For what son is there whom his father does not discipline?" God’s word says (Heb. 12:7). "Our fathers disciplined us and we respected them" (Heb. 12:9). Yes, the father who neglects discipline despises himself (Prov. 15:32). God knows that foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child, but loving, godly discipline will remove it far from him (1 Cor. 16:14; Prov. 22:15; 29:15, 17, 19; 19:18). Fathers, there is no substitute for discipline (Prov. 13:24). God believes in discipline done in wisdom and in love, never in anger (Jer. 10:24). There are also other forms of discipline you can use, such as depriving disobedient children of some of their freedom. Be sure to continually seek the Lord for wisdom. Wives who are living to please the Lord are commanded to be subject to their husbands. Help and encourage your husband to obey the Lord and do not discourage him when he disciplines the children. Do not hinder him, as Eve hindered her husband (Col. 3:18; 1 Cor. 11:8-9; 1 Tim. 2:14). Husbands, your wives cannot be in subjection to you until you are in subjection to God and have fulfilled your rightful duties to the Lord by being the loving master of your own household. Let us be prepared to meet the Lord should He return shortly (Luke 1:17). Let us stop depriving ourselves of happiness because we rebel against God’s Ways. After all, God’s Ways are all good for us (1 Cor. 7:3-5). PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME All About the Bible PDF © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • Interpretation or Revelation? | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Interpretation or Revelation? Many people interpret the Bible differently. As a result, we have thousands of different faiths believing in the same one God. But wait a minute! If the Bible is the truth of God, it can’t be an interpretation. A man once said that no one could know the truth because the truth is just an interpretation; how one interprets a Scripture could be far different from how someone else interprets the same Scripture. Is there any truth to the above statement? Read on and you’ll be shocked! First of all, God’s word, the Bible, says that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but rather men moved (directed) by the Holy Spirit spoke from God (2 Peter 1:20-21). Men who lived hundreds, and in some cases thousands, of years apart spoke the very same prophesies that God inspired them to repeat. Some examples of this are found in Revelation 6:15-17; Isaiah 2:19, 21, and Luke 23:30. Another good example of the same prophesies given to different people who lived in different times is found in Isaiah 2:2-4; Micah 4:1-3; Zechariah 14:4; and Acts 1:10-12. There are literally countless Scriptures in God’s word that prove God’s word is the truth and not merely interpretations of men. What is not known is that God’s word is a mystery that must be revealed to man by God (Gal. 1:11-12). The Apostle Paul who was a Pharisee, and whose father was a Pharisee, did not understand the very Scriptures he had studied all of his life. The Apostle Paul, after studying the Scriptures all his days, did not even know what the Will of God was. That also had to be revealed by God to him (Acts 22:14). People of the world, whom God is not calling to Himself, cannot understand God’s word because it is a veiled book to them. God has allowed Satan to keep their minds blinded, that they might not see the light of the gospel of God (2 Cor. 4:3-4). They are being held captive by Satan to do his will, which is ignore God daily (2 Tim. 2:26). Jesus told His disciples that to them only had the mysteries of God’s kingdom been revealed. He told them their eyes were blessed because many righteous men and ministers desired to know and understand what the apostles knew, but could not (Matt. 13:11, 16-17). Jesus said He was going to tell the world the truth, which has been hidden from the beginning of time, only He would tell the masses in a parable form so they could not understand (Matt. 13:35). He would, however, explain everything He said in parables to His disciples privately. His disciples were those whom He chose to call to Himself (Mark 4:33-34). Parables are dark sayings, riddles (Num. 12:8; Ezek. 17:2; 20:49). Speaking in parables is also called speaking in figurative language (John 16:25). Even the Pharisees could not hear Jesus’ words because they were of their father the devil (John 8:43-44). There were, however, some Pharisees whom God was calling into the truth, and they were becoming obedient to the faith (Acts 6:7). You see, no one can come to Jesus Christ unless the Father calls or draws him (John 6:37, 44; Acts 2:47; 13:48). So you see, the truth must be revealed by God, or else the best a person can do is interpret the word of God. Doctrines and traditions of men, which produced man-made religions, have come through man’s interpretations. These man-made traditions and man-made doctrines make man's worship of God in vain (Mark 7:7-8). If a person were to attend all the seminaries of man for a lifetime, it would be in vain, for he is reading from a book he does not understand. So he must interpret, and those interpretations are lies and half-truths. God’s word must be revealed, and it is revealed only to those who seek God for the truth, and not man. Those are the ones who find that one truth. Jesus Christ praised the Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for hiding the truth from the wise and intelligent and revealing it to those who are infants or teachable (Matt. 11:25). God considers the wisdom of this world foolishness, because that knowledge is earthly, demonic, and will not impart health, happiness, joy, peace, or eternal life (1 Cor. 3:19; James 3:15). We must go to Jesus Christ directly to receive eternal life (John 5:40). We cannot receive eternal life from some man or his teachings. Many feel if they attend a church regularly, listen to a minister and support that church, and attend its functions, they will be saved. Nothing could be further from the truth (Psalm 146:3; 118:8-9). Trust God exclusively and check up on man continually by studying God’s word on your own (2 Tim. 2:15; 3:16-17; Acts 17:11). One of the biggest lies that has been told in this world, is that a person cannot rightly understand the word of God unless he or she has a good understanding of the Greek and Hebrew languages. What does God’s word say about that? God is calling very few who are wise or noble, but is calling the fools, the weak, the base people and the despised of the world. He is calling those who are nobody to be somebody (1 Cor. 1:26-28; Eph. 4:28; Matt. 21:32). God is calling children (who are mostly the uneducated of the world), and revealing His message of His Way of life to them, whereas He is withholding the understanding from the wise and from many who know the Greek and the Hebrew (Matt. 11:25; 13:17; 18:3; 1 Cor. 1:19-20; Luke 10:21-22). This is not to say that God would not call some of these people, if they sought God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength. I am not ashamed to proclaim that God’s words, as well as His parables, have been revealed to me, and I have been taught personally by the Lord Himself for a period of three years, like Paul was (Gal. 1:11-12, 18). Therefore, I teach the truth from God’s word, through God’s revelation—not by man’s interpretation. God has given me the pen of a ready writer and has caused me to write hundreds of Bible researched studies over the years, to help others who would want to know their Bibles well and as quickly as possible (Psalm 45:1). These writings have proven to transform lives, showing that they are not my writings, but rather information I have received through inspiration and revelation from the Lord. I believe the Lord has done this because the days are coming soon, when wickedness will be so great that no man can safely preach the truth of God’s word anymore. So we must redeem the time and learn God’s word now, as fast as possible. Year after year the Lord has taught me while I lay on my bed and has instructed and inspired me on what I should write. Notice in God’s word that what I am saying is true and not a lie. His word cannot lie and I live only to imitate Him (Heb. 6:18; 1 John 2:21). Job 33:15-16 - In a dream, in a vision of the night, when sound sleep falls on men, while they slumber in their beds; then He opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction. Is. 50:5 - The Lord God has opened my ear, and I have not disobedient; Nor did I turn back. Is. 50:4 - The Lord God has given Me a tongue of disciples, that I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple. Psalm 16:7 - I will bless the Lord, who has counseled me; indeed, my mind instructs me in the night. Is. 49:2 - He has made My mouth like a sharp sword, in the shadow of His hand He has concealed me; He has also made Me a select arrow, He has hidden Me in His quiver. So you see, the truth must be revealed by God, or else the best a person can do is interpret the word of God. The key to having God reveal His teaching to you is you must seek God by doing His Will, which is doing good for God and begin to make all your ways right before Him (John 7:17). This is done by keeping, doing or performing Jesus Christ’s Words in your daily walk with Him (Psalm 37:27; John 8:51; 11:26; Rev. 2:26). • Walk in the Light | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Walk in the Light What does the expression "walk in the light" as found in 1 John 1:7 mean? Light and darkness have always been used to represent good and bad, right and wrong, righteousness and lawlessness. Walking in the light is doing good, whereas walking in the dark is doing evil. Avoiding doing what is bad is not being good. Refraining yourself from doing evil is good only when it is connected with a life of doing good for God. You see, to overcome character weakness, you must be engaged in building character strengths, because you overcome evil by doing good (Rom. 12:21). Now, God knows human nature is lazy, indifferent, contentious, slothful and evil. It wants to do what is good but is unable. This is because the pull for evil inside is greater than the pull for good. So a plan had to be devised in which all could have an opportunity for Salvation - the lonely, the rich, the noble, the lame and the blind - everyone! The god of the carnal heart, Satan, had to be crushed and removed from the heart, and only God could do that (Rom. 16:20). The desire to do good had to be strengthened, and only God could do that. Godly character had to be built, and only God could do that (1 Cor. 3:7). Human nature had to be perfected, and only God could do that (1 Peter 5:10). But what could man do for his part? Repent! Repent means be willing to change your ways. Change your ways to God’s Ways. How? By disciplining yourself to perform acts that please God daily. Is it hard? Jesus Christ said His Way is easy and pleasant and a child would not have any trouble performing it daily (Matt. 11:30). When you walk in the light as Jesus Christ did by only living to please the Father, you are obeying Jesus Christ and will be sprinkled with His blood (1 Peter 1:2). The blood of Jesus Christ will then cleanse you from all your sins (1 John 1:7). Jesus Christ bore our sins in His body so we might die to our sinful natures by living a righteous life (1 Peter 2:24). We prove that we are God’s children by practicing righteousness daily for God (1 John 3:7, 10). The one who does good daily for God is of God (3 John 11). This good is done daily by sharing food and clothes with widows and orphans (Heb. 13:16; Luke 3:11; James 1:27). This good is done by acts and words of kindness and charity - to the blind, the lame, the old, the young, your wife, your children, your folks - all done in the name of our precious Lord and Master, and soon to return King, Jesus Christ (Acts 9:36; Col. 3:17). • How to Please the Lord | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Please the Lord When Jesus returns and sets up His world-ruling government in Jerusalem, all the nations of the earth will stream into it. They will say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord that He may teach us concerning His Ways, and that we may walk in His paths." He will teach people how to live their lives to please Him (Is. 2:2-3; Micah 4:1-4). Nation will not go to war against nation anymore, and they will never again learn war (Is. 2:4). Everyone will invite his neighbor over for dinner (Zech. 3:10). What will Jesus Christ teach the nations concerning His Ways when they come up to Jerusalem? He will instruct them to help those in need (Matt. 25:31-40). "Dispense true justice, and practice righteousness by practicing kindness and compassion each to his brother. Do not oppress the widow or the orphan, the stranger or the poor; and do not devise evil in your hearts against one another," the Lord of Hosts says (Zech. 7:9-10). "These are the things you should do: speak the truth to one another; judge with truth and judgment for peace in your gates. Also let none of you devise evil in your heart against another, and do not love perjury; for all these are what I hate" (Zech. 8:16-17). People in the past refused to pay attention to God (Zech. 7:11). But it is prophesied that people will listen, when Jesus Christ comes back to rule the world (Zech. 8:20-23; 14:9). Man says today, "What should I do to please the Lord? Offer my firstborn for my rebellious acts?" Christ says, "I have told you, oh man, what is good. Practice righteousness. Practice justice. Practice loving one another and being kind to one another and walk humbly with your God" (Micah 6:8). Is this not what He told Cain (Gen. 4:7; 1 John 3:10-12), Abraham (Gen. 18:19), and Moses (Heb. 3:5)? And is this not what Daniel knew and told the king (Dan. 4:27), and what Jesus told us? Overcome evil by practicing righteousness for God in His name for His glory (Rom. 12:21; Col. 3:17; Matt. 5:16). Practice hospitality by inviting the blind and lame over for dinner (Rom. 12:13; Luke 14:13). Share your clothes, your money and your food with those in need, and share your home with the weary traveler (Luke 3:11; 1 Tim. 6:17-18; 1 John 3:17). We are without excuse when we consider the Scripture that says, "To the one who knows to do good (practice righteousness) and does it not, to him it is sin" (James 4:17). God’s word also says, "How blessed are those who practice righteousness at all times" (Psalm 106:3; 11:7). • All About God's Nature | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search All About God's Nature There are three natures mentioned in God’s word: God’s nature, Satan’s nature and human nature. Satan’s nature controls human nature, so there is no good thing in human nature (Luke 18:19; Rom. 7:18; John 7:7). Human nature is being held captive by Satan to do Satan’s will (2 Tim. 2:26). Satan’s will is put to death in our bodies when we do only God’s Will daily in our lives. Jesus Christ came to tell us about the Father’s nature. He said it is very easy for us to acquire the Father’s nature (Matt. 11:30). All we need to do is forsake our human nature by imitating Him (1 Cor. 11:1; Eph. 5:1). The Lord is righteous in all His Ways and kind in all His deeds (Psalm 145:17). When we practice righteous deeds for God, we are obedient to Jesus Christ and we allow the Spirit of God to dwell in us (1 John 3:10; Acts 5:32). We are keeping His Ways because we are doing His Will. The Spirit of God then reveals God’s nature in us (Rom. 8:29; Gal. 1:16; 4:19). This is called the doctrine that conforms one to godliness (1 Tim. 6:3). Human nature will not die without a fight. That is why you must fight the good fight of faith, and have faith that God will implant His nature in you (Psalm 4:5; Phil. 2:12). You will then be a new creature in Christ Jesus (Col. 1:28). When you have this new godly nature, then you will be righteous in all you do. You will be like Jesus because you will keep His deeds (Rev. 2:26). When all you do is righteous, then all you will reap will be blessings. 5:16). Do not let him stop you! Be zealous for good deeds and overcome your human nature (1 Peter 3:13; Rom. 12:21; Psalm 37:27). That is how you resist Satan and have God’s nature formed in you (James 4:7; Eph. 6:11, 13). The God of peace and love, who is calling you to this holy Way of life, will soon crush Satan under your feet, and after you have suffered a little, God will perfect His nature in you (Rom. 16:20; 1 Peter 5:10; Gal. 4:19).
