- Little Things Mean Alot: A Woman to Woman Article | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Little Things Mean Alot: A Woman to Woman Article It’s wasn’t our anniversary! It wasn’t my birthday! But my husband walked in with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. He wanted me to know he loved me. Little things mean a lot. I fixed a pot of tea for a widow. I added a little snack to make it more special. The widow said, “Thank you.” Yes, little things mean a lot. I came home from a busy day and my daughter had completely cleaned the house. It was so pleasant. Yes, little things mean a lot. Little things mean a lot to the Lord, too. When we go the extra mile for someone and do extra acts of kindness and charity for others, this means a lot to God. When we serve others, we are truly serving God, because Matthew 25:40 says, “Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.” Doing acts of kindness is how we overcome. Psalm 37:27 says, “Overcome evil by doing good.” This is a special Way of life that glorifies God in heaven. Read Matthew 5:16. These are things we must learn to do (Is. 1:16-17; Titus 2:7; 3:1, 8, 14). When you begin to live a life of doing little acts of kindness for others, a whole new world will open up to you. This is God’s special Way of living that Jesus came to show us. It is a beautiful world of giving and sharing, loving and serving. It is the way that brings peace, joy, prosperity and abundance into your life. It is an outward way of living instead of an inward way of living. It really makes each day very special, very pleasant and happy. As the words of a song go: Little things mean a lot when you do them every day. Little things mean a lot when you’re living God’s special Way. Little things mean a lot and loving is the key. Do His Will forever and live eternally (Matt. 7:21; 1 John 2:17). - The Kingdom Gospel | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search The Kingdom Gospel “This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a witness to all the nations, and then the end shall come” (Matt. 24:14). What is the gospel of the kingdom that is to be preached—the message that will determine when the end of this age will come and culminate with the return of Jesus Christ? The people of Jesus Christ’s day knew that there was a kingdom coming with signs to be observed. Jesus told them the signs of the end of the age. He said the sun would not give its light, the moon would look like blood and there would be signs in the heavens (Matt. 24:3, 29-30). When the Pharisees asked Jesus when that kingdom (with signs) was coming, He replied that He was not talking about a kingdom with signs to be observed, but one that was within them (Luke 17:20-21). The Pharisees were not entering that kingdom within (Matt. 23:13). Neither were they teaching people about the kingdom within, just like people today are not being told how to enter that kingdom. They had taken away the keys of knowledge from the people, so Jesus Christ gave those keys to Peter (Luke 11:52; Matt. 16:18-19). Those keys are the directions and the understanding of how to enter the kingdom within and become a new creature. In order to enter that kingdom, you have to study the Bible for yourself (Matt. 13:52). You must repent to enter that kingdom of God (Matt. 4:17). That kingdom is entered by performing daily acts of righteousness (Matt. 5:20). That kingdom is entered by doing God’s Will daily on earth as it is in heaven (Matt. 6:10; 7:21; 1 John 2:17). God’s Will is righteousness. Disciples of Jesus Christ are expected to imitate God on a daily basis by visiting the sick, caring for the poor, the elderly, the lame, the blind, the widows and the orphans, as Christ explained (Eph. 5:1; Matt. 25:33-46; 1 John 3:17-19). That’s what the true sheep—true believers—are doing. They are overcoming evil by just doing good daily (Rom. 12:21; 1 Peter 3:11; 2 Thess. 3:13). They are glorifying God daily with good works so their lights can shine bright (Matt. 5:16). Living a life of doing good for God daily is true repentance from a life of doing evil. Jesus said that His Way is easy and very pleasant (Matt. 11:30). God wants you to do good daily so He can bless you daily (Eph. 6:8). When you put your hand to the plow (the plow represents good works), you are to continue to do good until the God of peace crushes Satan under your feet and forms Christ’s new nature in you (Luke 9:62; Rom. 16:20; Gal. 4:19). Then you become complete, a new person, a new creation (Gal. 6:15). When you put to death the deeds of the body by living to the Spirit daily, you will eventually rest from all your works of the flesh and enter Christ’s rest (Rom. 8:13; Heb. 4:10). Jesus Christ is making a peculiar people who are zealous for good works (Titus 2:14). That is why His apostles told the people to engage in good deeds and not to get weary of doing them (Titus 3:8; Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13). This is how you force your way into the kingdom of heaven within (Luke 16:16). It is how you strive to enter the narrow door that few people find (Matt. 7:14; Luke 13:23-24). When you overcome evil by doing good daily, you resist Satan and enter the abundant life, which is filled with a peace that transcends all human understanding (Phil. 4:7, 9). “Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand [right now, as soon as you hear this message,” John the Baptist, Jesus Christ, and the apostles proclaimed (Matt. 4:17). That kingdom is entered by keeping Jesus Christ’s works and overcoming a life of evil by engaging in a life of good works (John 14:12). Do you know of any other way to be good, than to do good (Rev. 2:26)? PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International
- God’s Marriage Laws of Love | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search God’s Marriage Laws of Love Colossians 3:18-19 Below is a list of God’s rules for a blessed marriage relationship: 1. Husbands are to love their wives and are not to allow themselves to harbor any hard feelings against them (Eph. 5:28-29). 2. Wives are to be in loving subjection to their husbands, because the Lord says they should for their own good (Eph. 5:22). 3. Married couples are not to deny one another (deny the needs of each other), because when they do, Satan can tempt them (1 Cor. 7:3, 5). 4. Do not repay evil for evil by arguing with one another, but seek peace and pursue it earnestly (Prov. 20:22; 1 Peter 3:11-12). 5. Never let the sun go down on your wrath by going to bed angry with one another by (Eph. 4:26). 6. Forgive one another daily (seventy times seven), so the Lord can continue to forgive you (Matt. 18:21-22). 7. Learn to serve one another daily so that you will be pleasing not only to the Lord, but to your mate as well (Mark 9:35; Rom. 15:2-3). 8. Let your charity for each other (kindness and love) shine so bright that others will imitate your godly example of love (Matt. 5:16). 9. The family that prays together stays together. Pray together each night for others, as well as for your own needs. Whenever two are in agreement with one another, it will be so (Matt. 18:19). If you follow these marriage laws of love, God can then teach you to love one another (1 Thess. 4:9; 2 Thess. 1:3). Then God will protect you from the evil one, Satan, who will try to destroy your marriage (2 Thess. 3:3). Remember always—through love, serve one another (Gal. 5:13). Walk by these spiritual laws and you will not carry out the evil desires of the flesh (Gal. 5:16, 24). Your marriage will be blessed and you will be pleasing to God (Eph. 5:10). - "You go to heaven when you die." | WHOLE WHEAT
"You go to heaven when you die." MISCONCEPTION: You go to heaven or hell when you die. THE TRUTH IS: God’s word says your body returns to dust and your soul sleeps. When Jesus resurrects all who are in their graves, only those who had good works will come to a resurrection of eternal life (John 5:29). Doesn’t it seem weird that the world teaches salvation cannot be earned by good works, discouraging the many from having any good works by this false incomplete teaching, when Jesus will give eternal life only to those who had good works? King David knew he would be sleeping in the grave (Psalm 17:15). Jesus’ disciples knew that King David did not ascend to heaven when he died (Acts 2:34). They knew that David and his grave were still there in the ground to that day (Acts 2:29). In the oldest book in the Bible, the book of Job, it states, “So a man lies down and does not rise until the heavens be no more. The dead will not awake or be aroused from their sleep” (Job 14:12). Job knew the Lord would call him from his grave (Job 14:14), just like Jesus said He would (John 5:28-29). All you need do is look up “sleep” in a Bible concordance to find that the soul sleeps, and those who teach differently are not teaching the biblical truth on death. So you don’t go to heaven when you die. That’s just another pagan lie. Jesus said Himself that no man has ascended to heaven except Himself (John 3:13). Was He lying? Jesus is the only one at this time who has immortality (1 Tim. 6:16). You must admit, if the pagan teaching that you go to heaven when you die was true, then why would we need a resurrection? Everyone would be immortal already, wouldn’t they? You now have read the truth from God’s word. Many have been deceived, but now you know the truth from God’s word. - How Do You Seek God? | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search How Do You Seek God? The question is asked, “How do you seek God?” The answer is given by God in Romans 3:10-11. There is no one who seeks God, there is no one who understands. Understands what? How to seek God? Yes! There is no one who does good. Good for who, Sam, Bill, Pete or David? No! There is no one who does good for God. Why? Because that is how you seek Him. Matthew 5:16 says, that God is glorified by good works done on His behalf and that is how a true doer of God’s word lets his light shine before men. We overcome by keeping Jesus Christ’s works of love and charity (Rev. 2:26). That is how we seek for glory and honor and immortality (Rom. 2:7). That is how the Lord blesses us (Rom. 2:6). Glory and honor to everyone who does good for God (Rom. 2:10). Doing good works for God is how you repent daily and turn to Him and have the veil removed from your eyes (2 Cor. 3:16). Good works have always been necessary for repentance, the Apostle Paul says (Acts 26:20). Good works is not only how you seek God, but how you continually get His attention. Be sure that all the works of love you do in word or in deed are done in the name of Jesus Christ for the glory of the Father (Col. 3:17). Then, study the Scriptures by subject daily, and understand and put them into action in your daily life for God. That is how you truly seek God. That is how you seek the kingdom, and that is how the kingdom within is entered (Matt. 6:33; 5:20; 2 Peter 1:11; Luke 17:21 King James Version). - How Can I Be a Better Person? | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search How Can I Be a Better Person? Written by our Founder I can be a better person by asking God to discipline me for the purpose of godliness (1 Tim. 4:7). When God disciplines me, I know He loves me. This is an awesome truth that not many understand. Let's look at Hebrews 12:5-10—“My son (or daughter), do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor faint when you are reproved by Him; for those whom the Lord loves, He disciplines... it is for discipline that you (and I) endure... Without discipline we are illegitimate children (not God's, but Satan's). Be subject (serve and love others in the name of Jesus) to the Father of spirits (Lord of heaven and earth over all of us including Satan and his angels) and live. God disciplines us for our good that we may share in His holiness.” Isn't that fantastic? That's my goal. I am severely reproved by the Lord, because He knows I can handle it. It's tough love from God, Himself, but so, so necessary to become a better person. All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful. Yet those who have been trained by it know that afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness (Heb. 12:11). Hebrews 12:12-15 tells us how to walk in that righteousness—help the elderly, lame, and anyone in need. The thought is climaxed when God says don't come short of the grace of God. This shows that the righteousness performed in Jesus’ name, especially for the elderly, lame, blind, needy, orphans, and widows, is imperative to sharing in His holiness (James 1:27; Heb. 12:10). The following Scripture portion is so comforting to me, that when God reproves and disciplines me, I better understand what's happening and therefore handle each test, trial and disciplinary action God allows so much better. Let's look at 1 Peter 4:1: First: Christ had to suffer in the flesh (the physical state we are in now). Second: We must arm ourselves (be prepared) for the same purpose. Third: Those who have suffered in the flesh have ceased from sin (sin has been crushed in their bodies). Hurrah! Hurrah! My goal in this life is to become a better person by ceasing from sin and living like my Brother, Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 4:8 says, "Keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins." There are so many neat promises from God, aren’t there? Now for a final Scripture, look in 1 Peter 4:19: "Let those who suffer according to the Will of God entrust their souls to a faithful Creator in doing what is right (practice righteousness)." Thank you, Lord, for Your special Ways that bring us into Your presence and subjection, making us useful vessels in Your service. I know that the discipline for the moment is not joyful but sorrowful, and I need Your strength Lord, to make it. I must think positive and know that Your discipline will produce godly character and the peaceful fruit of righteousness, so that I can share in Your holiness. My goal is to become like You, Lord, and reap eternal life. PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

wholewheatonline.com Search Is There Any Future For Me? Do you feel there is no hope for you because your problems are so great? Have you lost control of your life? Have you ever asked, "Is there any future for me and my family?" The answer is, "Yes!" But only if you repent, and begin to live for God and please Him daily (Acts 26:20; Rom. 12:21; Eph. 5:10; Prov. 31:25). There is a future for the righteous because even if you die, you will be resurrected to live forever (Is. 3:10; 1 John 2:17; John 5:28-29). Only the wicked, who will not repent by serving others for God and thus learn righteousness, will perish (Is. 3:11; 26:9-10). As parents, you are to live for God by training your children to do what is right. You must teach them to obey and not to argue. Teach them how to help with family chores and responsibilities, such as keeping their rooms clean. Your children need to learn not to give in to peer pressure, to do what is wrong. Instead, they need to be examples of light by continually doing what is right, at school and at play (Ezek. 14:20; Eph. 6:1-3). Soon you will notice that your children are changing too, and life in your home will be more peaceful and beautiful. God is looking for people who will be examples of righteousness for Him, whether they be children or adults. There are plenty who are examples of lawlessness and sin for Satan. God has promised if you seek to please Him by practicing what is right in His sight, He will help you solve your problems (Eph. 5:10, 17; Matt. 6:33; 1 John 3:22). wholewheatonline.com Search Rehabilitation Many people do not stop to realize that the Bible is a handbook on rehabilitation. When He was living here on earth, Jesus Christ was calling all kinds of sinners to repentance and teaching them how to change their way of life to one that pleases God (Matt. 9:13; 1 Cor. 6:9-10). Zaccheus was one of these people. He was a chief tax collector for the Roman government (Luke 19:1-9). Christ always mentioned tax collectors right along with harlots. Zacchaeus stole a great deal of money and became rich by doing so. How did Zaccheus repent? He gave half of his possessions to the poor and made fourfold restitution to those he had cheated. Zacchaeus began practicing righteousness. He was truly getting involved with a life of good works and thus, leaving behind a life of bad works. Don’t you think he glorified God in heaven by those good works, and didn’t his light begin to shine (Matt. 5:16)? Zacchaeus must have understood what Jesus meant when He said to repent because Jesus said, "Today salvation has come to this house." Other thieves were also told to stop stealing and get an honest job so they could do good with their money and share it with others who had a need (Eph. 4:28). God’s policy on repentance includes practicing righteousness and honesty for God (Ezek. 33:13-16). John the Baptist told people how to do good for repentance (Luke 3:10-11; Matt. 21:32; 2 Peter 2:21). Yes, practicing righteousness toward others is how you prove to God that you are repentant (Acts 26:20; 1 John 3:7, 10). It is how you bring forth good fruits, which are good works, on your spiritual tree (Matt. 3:10; Luke 3:8; Col. 1:10). Keep doing God’s Will, which is righteousness, until God makes it come from your heart (Eph. 6:6; Matt. 5:20; Gal. 4:19; Rom. 16:20). The Lord is the only one who can rehabilitate a person. He is the only one who can grant you repentance (2 Tim. 2:25-26). PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

- Who Are The Stumbling Blocks? | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Who Are The Stumbling Blocks? The Bible tells us that all stumbling blocks will be destroyed in the lake of fire (Matt. 13:41-42). Who are the stumbling blocks? You may be shocked to learn that stumbling blocks are true disciples of Jesus Christ who cause others to stumble in some way, preventing or destroying their chances of knowing the truth. The stumbling blocks are still practicing sin and living lawless lives (1 John 3:4). They are practicing worldliness by swearing, smoking, getting drunk or not being a godly example to others (Gal. 5:19-21; Mark 7:21-23; 1 Cor. 6:9-10; Eph. 5:5-6; Col. 3:8; Rev. 21:8). Jesus said anyone who causes another person God is calling into the truth to stumble is in big trouble (Matt. 18:6-7). Jesus then said in parable form that if any member of the body of believers causes another to stumble, it would be better to cut off the member that offends, than to receive the punishment that comes from making a potential disciple of Jesus Christ stumble (Matt. 18:8-9). Jesus Christ called the Apostle Peter "Satan" because Peter was setting his mind on man’s interests and not God’s. Because of this, Peter was momentarily a stumbling block to Christ (Matt. 16:23). Anyone who does not put God first in every area of his life is a potential stumbling block! What causes people to stumble and who are the stumbling blocks? Just read these Scriptures to remove all doubt from your mind: Jude 15-16; 2 Peter 2:2-6, 10, 12-15, 17-19; James 1:7-8; and 2 Timothy 3:1-5. When you find the truth, do not speak against it in any way. Do not discourage or hinder anyone from entering the kingdom within, as the religious leaders of Christ’s day did (Matt. 23:13; Luke 11:52; 17:21). Help others to overcome by encouraging them to serve others for Christ (Heb. 10:24; Col. 3:17). Be a good example to them for Christ (Titus 2:7). God loves those who practice righteousness for Him (1 John 3:7, 10). Jesus Christ is able to keep you from stumbling if you put Him first in your daily life and keep Him first (Jude 24). Begin today by studying His word, which allows Him to teach you, and then put what you learn into practice. Last of all, do not try to hinder a man of God from doing God’s work. Instead, support him by not speaking evil about him, and help him in whatever way you can (Matt. 10:40-42; 24:45-47). In doing so, you will be helping Jesus Christ make doers of His word. - The Purpose of Life - to do good works for God | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search The Purpose of Life - to do good works for God The whole purpose of life is to seek the Lord and do good works for His glory (Eph. 2:10; Is. 55:6-7; Matt. 5:16). The Lord is righteous in all His Ways and kind in all His deeds (Psalm 145:17). He is found by those who live righteously (do good to please Him daily) and study His word to learn how He thinks (Acts 10:2, 38; 2 Tim. 3:16-17). The word of God states that without holiness no one will see the Lord (Heb. 12:14, King James Version). Now, to be holy one must be righteous, and to be righteous one must do good for God’s glory continually by practicing righteousness (Matt. 5:16; Col. 3:17; 1 John 3:7, 10; Job 29:12-15). God is going to test everyone who lives on the earth in the last days to see who will repent and serve Him by serving others (Rev. 3:10; Mal. 3:18). All the people on the earth must first have an opportunity to know the truth and know how to repent, change and live their lives to be pleasing to God (2 Peter 3:9). All must hear the message of repentance. Then they will have no excuse for their sins (John 15:22). This message of repentance is the central theme to the true message of the kingdom of heaven. This true message of the kingdom must be preached and published in the whole world for a witness first, and then the end will come (Matt. 24:14). There are two gospels being preached today. The “good-for-nothing” gospel that produces good-for-nothings because no permanent change for the good takes place in people’s lives who hear it. Then there is the “good-for-something” gospel that produces people who are zealous for good works, as Jesus Christ was and as He told us to be (Titus 2:14). The “good-for-nothing” gospel discourages or doesn’t talk about doing good works for God, and it also preaches a gospel of half-truths by which no one can be saved. Remember, good works are to be done for repentance for God’s glory; they are not done for salvation, because salvation cannot be earned by good works (Matt. 5:16). Salvation is a free gift that goes only to those who repent daily and live the repentant life that Jesus came to show us (Eph. 2:8-9). Will you be ready when Jesus Christ returns? Will you be found doing good works for God and fulfilling the purpose of your life? This is the purpose for which you were created (Eph. 2:10). And only those in their graves who had good deeds for God will come to a resurrection of life (John 5:28-29; Rev. 14:13; 20:12). Becoming a New Person Jesus Christ says, "If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me.” Jesus is telling us that we are expected to live as He lived. How do we do that? We are to keep His sayings. Jesus Christ’s sayings are the works He did on this earth as an example, that we should walk in them. We cannot possibly be converted to Jesus Christ if we do not keep His sayings! God says that if we practice living like Christ by keeping His sayings, we are truly born again. This is how we overcome evil and resist Satan daily. If you have not turned to the Lord and have not started the process of building godly character, why not turn to the Lord today? Begin living the godly Way. Please Him in all you do, and He will make a new person out of you. wholewheatonline.com Search Repent to Believe the Gospel Who would ever expect to read in God’s word that you must repent in order to believe the gospel? We all know that obeying what the gospel says is repentance (Mark 1:15). Then there must be some Scriptures that would be hard to accept when we read them in God’s word. We would reject them in our spirits. What are some of these hard to accept Scriptures? In 3 John 11, God’s word states that only the one who does good is of God. How about people who don’t do good? Yes, you cannot say you are a true follower of Jesus Christ, unless you are continually doing good each day towards others like Jesus gave us examples to do. This affects a lot of people today who say they are saved, but who are not. Many people today exclaim they are born again—washed by the blood of Jesus. In order for this to be true, they would not only have to know the truth, but practice that truth daily in their lives (John 3:21; 1 John 1:6). That truth is keeping Jesus’ deeds in our lives daily (which is called “the light”) and daily imitating the Way He came to show us how to live. This is how to have the blood of Jesus Christ cover our sins (1 John 1:7). God’s word is emphatic when it says you must practice righteousness to be born of God (1 John 2:29 New American Standard Version). Obedience to Jesus daily is required for the forgiveness of sins—so says God’s word that cannot lie (1 Peter 1:2). How many people today say, “Lord, Lord!,” yet they are not doing what Jesus told them to do (Luke 6:46)? They are not overcoming the evil in their lives by continually doing good for God each day (1 Peter 3:10-11; Psalm 37:27; Matt. 5:16). How many people realize that using our bodies as instruments of righteousness each day is NOW our spiritual service of worship to God (Rom. 12:1-2; Rom. 6:13). Jesus is constantly giving examples in His word to those who are worshiping Him in the wrong way. They profess to know God, but by their daily works or deeds they deny Him. They are not overcoming evil by doing good for God each day. They are still living detestable and disobedient lives before God each day. Why? They are not doing good as Jesus said they should (Titus 1:16). They are still living lawless lives, sinful lives before God because those who teach them are telling them that they need not do anything to receive salvation—it is a free gift. This is only half-truth, just like the half-truths Satan used to tempt Jesus with (Eph. 2:8-9; Matt. 4:1-10). It’s as simple as this. God is calling people out of a life of lawlessness into a life of righteousness. If you are not living that life of righteousness, you are still living a life of lawlessness (1 John 3:4). Sin is lawlessness, so those who live lawless lives have not yet repented. Noah and all the true prophets of God, including Jesus and His disciples, preached that a life of righteousness is required daily by God for repentance. They knew that eternal life was a free gift of God but you must be found worthy to be given that gift (Luke 20:35 NASV;2 Thess. 1:5). What makes you worthy for the resurrection of eternal life is a life of good works or good deeds. Jesus said so Himself in John 5:28-29. We were created for good works (Eph. 2:10). So then, those who preach the incomplete truth of Ephesians 2:8-9 without explaining verse 10 in detail are preaching lawlessness. And that’s exactly what the ministers were doing whom Jesus gave as an example in Matthew 7:22-23. They were preaching lawlessness because they were not preaching that we must do righteousness each day to please the Lord, and we are to overcome evil by continually doing good like Dorcas (Acts 9:36). Instead, their disciples are described in Titus 1:16. In Matthew 7:13 it says that this is the broad way that leads to destruction, which many are following today because they are not being told how to repent. Repentance is a daily life of righteousness and good works done for God’s glory—called the Way of righteousness (Matt. 21:32; 2 Peter 2:21). How can you imitate God unless you keep Jesus’ words or sayings (John 8:51; Eph. 5:1)? How can you keep Christ’s words or sayings unless you do the works or deeds of Jesus in your daily life and overcome the evil in your life (John 14:12; Rev. 2:26; 3:21)? Jesus said, “Repent and believe the gospel or you will perish” (Mark 1:15; Luke 13:3, 5; Heb. 10:24)! - Being Tested in Your Faith | WHOLE WHEAT
Being Tested in Your Faith When you decided to stop living to the flesh and started to live to the Spirit by practicing righteousness to please God every day, things started happening to you that you may not understand. The Apostle Peter says not to be surprised at the fiery ordeal that comes upon you for your testing. Do not think that some strange thing is happening to you. Instead, remember that you are sharing in the sufferings of Christ. Keep on rejoicing so at the revelation of His glory, you may rejoice with great enthusiasm. Look what is happening to you! "After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you." You are being made complete in Christ. You are being made into a new creation. For if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. Romans 8:13 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you; 13 but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing, so that also at the revelation of His glory you may rejoice with exultation. 1 Peter 4:12-13 After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. 1 Peter 5:10 Finally, brethren, rejoice, be made complete, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. 2 Corinthians 13:11 For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation. - Who Do You Really Worship? | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Who Do You Really Worship? Many people don’t realize the fact that ignoring God daily is worshipping Satan. Living for self is worshipping Satan. The love of money and selfish ambition is the source of every evil thing and is worshipping Satan (1 Tim. 6:10-11). Being religiously deceived is worshipping Satan. Being deceived by anything or anyone of the world is falling prey to Satan’s schemes, and therefore worshipping Him. If anything of this world takes precedence in your life, over what you know to be true according to God, it has become an idol in your life and you are worshipping the world, who’s ruler is Satan (2 Cor. 4:4). If one’s emotions are too strongly set on something, that is wrong and it has become an idol. Idolatry is defined as excessive love, adoration or devotion to anything such as food, drink, clothing, cars, boats, homes or pleasure. These things are idolatry (Col. 3:5; Ezek. 14:7). Love for money makes money one’s idol. It is wrong to idolize anyone whether it be fame, politics or otherwise. When we do this, we put what we idolize before God (Matt. 4:10; Isa. 2:22). We are to seek the truth and the truth will set us free (John 8:32). The Bible says God’s word is truth, and we are expected to study it, obey it and practice the truth to come to the knowledge of the light—real truth (John 3:21; Deut 28:15; John 3:36, Ps. 106:3; Ezra 7:10; 2 Tim 2:15 KJV). The true worship of God involves walking in the Law by keeping it in the Spirit (Rom. 12:21; 8:13; John 4:24). The true worshipers of God live as God lives by keeping His Ways. They imitate God and His Son daily—living holy, righteous, blameless, perfect lives as Jesus Christ, King David, Job and Noah did (Eph. 5:1; Matt. 5:48). True worship of God is not hard (1 John 5:3). In fact, it’s very easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30). But it does require obedience to a loving Creator. True worship of God through a holy Way of life is all but nonexistent today. Only the empty form of pagan rituals remains. Very few people live the “God life.” Very few experience the good life which is filled with peace, prosperity and every good thing. People have substituted a form of religion for holiness (Rom 10:2-3; Mark 7:6-9). And therefore, they practice idolatry instead of God’s pure and undefiled religion, which is simply serving those in need and staying unstained by the world (James 1:27). Who proclaims and substitutes this form of religion that is not of God today? False ministers. They appear as nice guys on the outside, but inside they are ravenous wolves in sheep’s clothing (Matt. 7:15). Many wear different clothing or a robe to make people think they are very religious or holy. Many thrive on notoriety and love to sit in places of honor at banquet tables (Matt. 23:1-7; Luke 20:46; Mark 12:39) How can you distinguish false ministers from God’s true servants? God’s ministers can be recognized by their fruits, and those fruits are good works (Col. 1:10). Their message should be to repent and overcome evil by engaging in good works daily for the glory of God (Rom. 12:21; Matt. 5:16). These good works are to be done in the name of Jesus (Col. 3:17). If Jesus is purifying for Himself a peculiar people who are zealous for good works, then His true ministers would themselves be examples of good works (Titus 2:7-8, 14). Halley’s Bible Handbook says on page 643; “One of the indictments of false teachers was that they were “unto every good work reprobates” which means they express their disapproval of good works and are not of God’s elect, when looking up the word reprobate. It then references Titus 1:16; “They profess to know God but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good deed.” False ministers then, would be enemies of good works for God, preaching over and over that works are not necessary for salvation (Acts 13:10). Then the people, not knowing their Bibles and not caring to know their Bibles, blindly go along to the slaughter, following their blind leaders (Matt. 15:12-14). They both fall into a ditch or rut, and nobody puts on the new nature and gets rid of the old (Eph. 4:22-24). No one becomes a new creature with Christ formed in him (Gal. 4:19). No one becomes complete (2 Cor. 13:9). Jesus says the greatest in the kingdom will be the servant of the most (Matt. 23:11). People are not told to be servants of others for the glory of God; they are told, instead, to let the church do the good works. They are told, “If someone is in need, call your pastor.” He is a righteous man, so they believe. But if so, he should be duplicating himself by the hundreds. People should not be looking up to him, but to Christ, their true example of daily righteousness. How many do you know who walk like Christ, talk like Christ, do Christ’s works daily, and are overcoming their evil natures (1 John 2:6)? How many slaves of righteousness do you know (Rom. 6:19)? Do you know any slaves of Jesus Christ who are doing the Will of God—the Will being righteousness—daily on this earth, just as it is being done in heaven (Rom 12:2; Eph. 6:6)? How many put God first in their life above all else? Jesus gave us examples, but many people give Him excuses. What’s yours? - What is the Bible? | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search What is the Bible? To best understand what the Bible is, let’s first consider what the Bible is not. The Bible is not an ancient collection of myths or stories or something to put on your coffee table with pressed flowers or a four-leaf clover in it. The Bible is not a book to be ignored, because we will all be judged by the words that are in it (John 12:47-50). The Bible is, however, a spiritual book of writings by men who were moved by the Spirit of God (2 Peter 1:20-21). The Bible is the living word of God. We are to live by every word of the Bible (Matt. 4:4). It is a book telling us how to obtain eternal life. It contains the answers to all the mysteries of life. The Bible contains the directions on how to enter the kingdom of God, be converted on the inside, and thus, have the peace that surpasses all human comprehension (Matt. 5:20; 7:21; Phil. 4:7). The Bible tells of all the blessings we will receive for obeying it and all the curses we will receive for ignoring it. The Bible tells us who we are and how to overcome our evil natures. The Bible tells us how we can please God, and what God will do for us when we please Him. If we ignore God’s word by not studying it daily, we are ignoring God (Acts 17:11). God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, in the weakness of the flesh to show us how easy it is to please the Father and to be rewarded with the free gift of eternal life (Phil. 2:7). Jesus was the living word of God, which means He lived by the words of God. We are to live by every word of God so we can be living words of God also. The Bible tells us not to be foolish, but to understand what God wants us to do, and then do it (Eph. 5:17)! Jesus said His Way is very easy and pleasant, and some of us will do greater works than He did (Matt. 11:30; John 14:12). The Bible says we are foolish if we think works are not necessary for repentance (James 2:20; Acts 26:20). We must study God’s word to show that we love God (2 Tim. 2:15, King James Version). We need to engage in acts of righteousness for repentance (Titus 2:7; 3:8). Remember, if the righteous are saved with difficulty, what will happen to the person who continues to live to the flesh and not to the Spirit (God) (1 Peter 4:18; Rom. 8:13)? Only those who seek God by pleasing Him will find Him. Start today, and you will be on your way. Be a godly example to others for God; be ready at all times to explain the truth to them in love by knowing the Scriptures well (1 Peter 3:15). This is what the Bible truly is for; to learn God’s Will, apply it in our daily lives, and then share it with others. wholewheatonline.com Search God Keeps Records Many people believe God has gone off somewhere and is ignoring His creation or just doesn’t care anymore. People don’t stop to realize that they have gone astray and are ignoring their Creator by doing their own thing. They don’t really care whether there is a God or not. Does God know your every thought? Does He see all that you do? Do you get away with anything? Does He keep track of all these things in a book of remembrance (Mal. 3:16)? The Bible says God has a book of life (Psalm 69:28; Rev. 20:12). It is a book that God Himself has written (Ex. 32:32). Whoever sins against God will be blotted out of that book (Ex. 32:33). Every description of your body and its inward parts are in that book (Psalm 139:13, 16). The very hairs of your head are numbered (Matt. 10:30). The thoughts you think are all recorded (Psalm 94:11; Job 34:21; Prov. 5:21; Jer. 16:17). God is continually giving to each of us according to what we do (Jer. 17:10; 32:19; Rev. 2:23). He sees every living person when He looks from heaven (Psalm 33:13). He loves those who practice righteousness and glorify Him daily by doing good (Matt. 5:16; Psalm 106:3; 34:15-17). God is continually ruling over mankind (Dan. 4:15-17). Scripture tells us those who think God doesn’t always see or hear them are considered senseless and stupid by the Lord (Psalm 94:8-9). It’s time we begin to live to please God instead of continuing to live to please self. Time is running out on mankind, but to those who live to serve God, time is endless. They shall endure forever (Rev. 2:7; 1 John 2:17). Psalm 69:28 — May they be blotted out of the book of life, and may they not be recorded with the righteous. Psalm 139:13 — For Thou didst form my inward parts; Thou didst weave me in my mother’s womb. Dan. 12:1 — Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued. Dan. 7:10 — A river of fire was flowing and coming out from before Him. Thousands upon thousands were attending Him, and myriads upon myriads were standing before Him. The court sat, and the books were opened. Rev. 20:12 — And the books were opened, and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things that were written in the books, according to their deeds. Mal. 3:16 — And a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the Lord and who esteem His name. Ezek. 2:9 — I looked and behold, a hand was extended to me and a scroll was in it. Ex. 32:32-33 — Please blot me out from Thy book which Thou hast written! Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book. Deut. 28:61 — Also every sickness and every plague which, not written in the book of this law, the Lord will bring on you until you are destroyed. Matt. 10:30 — The very hairs of your head are numbered. Psalm 94:11 — The Lord knows the thoughts of man… Job 34:21 — For His eyes are upon the ways of man and He sees all his steps. Prov. 5:21 — For the ways of a man are before the eyes of the Lord and He watches all his paths. Jer. 16:17 — For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face nor is their iniquity concealed from My eyes. Jer. 17:10 — I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give to each man according to his ways, according to the results of his deeds. Jer. 32:19 — God’s eyes are open to all the ways of the sons of men, giving to everyone according to his ways and according to the fruit of his deeds. Rev. 2:23 — I am He who searches the minds and hearts; and I will give to each one of you according to your deeds. Psalm 33:13 — The Lord looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. Psalm 33:18 — Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him… Psalm 34:15-17 — The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous and His ears are open to their cry. The face of the Lord is against evildoers, to cut off the memory of them from the earth. The righteous cry and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. - How to Love Your Neighbor as Yourself | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search How to Love Your Neighbor as Yourself Self-preservation is in each of us from birth. “If anyone is going to die, let it be the other guy,” carnal nature says. But the Bible says perfect love does no evil to its neighbor (1 Cor. 13:4-7; Rom. 15:2). God wants us to love each other and be outgoing toward one another to such an extent that we would lay down our lives for another person, Jesus being our example (John 10:15; 15:13; 1 John 3:16). This means we have a way to go, especially when human nature is constantly looking for a reason to dislike the other person. Practicing love toward our neighbor requires that we aren’t giving in to our evil natures (Gal. 5:13). Instead, practicing love means following the example of the three monkeys who see no evil, hear no evil and say no evil to their neighbor (1 Thess 5:15). This, indeed, pleases God and is how He begins to crush our satanic nature (Rom. 16:20). Loving our neighbor as ourself is putting the other person’s welfare, comfort and well-being ahead of our own (Phil. 2:3-4; Matt. 19:19). For example, if we are to be servants of the most, we must get used to eating last, after the guests are fed, like true maids and butlers of God (Matt. 19:30; 20:16). Maybe we won’t be the best, but that does not excuse us from trying our best. Remember, God looks on the heart (1 Sam. 16:7; Prov. 17:10). That is why the widow who gave a penny was serving more than the rich who gave of their abundance (Luke 21:3-4). The rich are being called to be rich in good works so they can keep their minds off their money and the love of it, and more on God by serving others (1 Tim. 6:10, 17-19). The beginning of wisdom is the fear of God, and those who do His commandments have a good understanding (Psalm 111:10). Fear is respect, adoration, obedience and being in subjection to someone (Prov. 15:33; 16:6). When a disciple of Jesus Christ begins to obey God by glorifying Him daily through good works, showing that his faith has works, he naturally does it from fear of being punished (1 Peter 1:17; 2 Cor. 7:1). The same is true of our attitude toward our earthly fathers if we do not do what they tell us to do (Heb. 12:10-11). Eventually, that attitude of fear changes to one of respect, adoration and love, when we are at last in loving subjection to God, our heavenly Father. This perfect love for God comes by way of serving others and putting them first before self, and by continually pleasing God every day (Phil. 2:3-5). Then there is no more fear of anything, not even death itself. Faith has indeed been perfected by works of love for God’s glory (James 2:22; 1 John 4:18). Remember, this truth, for the most part, is not known in the world. The proof is in the observation of the fruits (works) of those who call themselves followers of Jesus Christ today (Col. 1:10; Matt. 7:16-18, 20; Titus 1:16). We are alone, but we have each other; and we know we are God’s friends because we keep His commandments (John 15:14). - How to Overcome Anxiety | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search How to Overcome Anxiety If you are a disciple of Jesus Christ and you are now living for God every day by imitating the Father and the Son on a daily basis, then you are keeping the commandments of Jesus Christ and you are performing the Will of God (Eph. 5:1; 1 Cor. 11:1; 1 John 2:6, 17; Matt. 7:21; 12:50; 1 Peter 4:2; John 7:17). You are keeping Christ's works and acting on His words by being careful to engage in good works (John 14:12; 12:47; Luke 6:47; 8:21; 11:28; Titus 3:8). You are not to be foolish, but understand what the Will of God is and then do it from the heart (Eph. 5:17; 6:6). Christ commands us to cast our anxieties on Him (1 Peter 5:7). He says we are to practice thinking only what is beautiful and peaceful. We are to seek peace and pursue it earnestly and turn away from evil by doing good for Him daily (1 Peter 3:11; Rom. 12:21). This is the Will of God (Rom. 12:2). We are to clean up our speech, clean up our thoughts and clean up our actions by practicing righteousness daily to glorify God (1 Peter 4:11; Eph. 4:29; 5:10; Matt. 5:16; 1 John 2:29; 3:7). We are to pray to God for all our needs and wants, as well as for the needs and wants of others. Then, we are to have confidence that we will receive what we have asked of God in our prayers because we are living to please Him daily (John 15:16; 16:23-24; 1 John 3:22). Jesus Christ wants us to enter the good life that He has waiting for us (John 10:10). We enter this good life when we start doing good for others for the glory of God. This is how Christ is formed in us and we become new creations (Gal. 4:19; 6:15; Col. 1:28; 2 Cor. 13:9, 11). Our anxieties begin to disappear when we enter this good life and rest from all our works of the flesh (Heb. 4:10). Keep in mind that Jesus' Ways are easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30). That is why God is calling the unwise, the foolish, the sinners, the lowly and the simple-minded (1 Cor. 1:26-28). Satan would like you to think this is real hard because he wants you to continue to be held captive by him, doing his will instead of God's Will (2 Tim. 2:26; Matt. 6:10). Those who are living for God are to commit all their thoughts, words and deeds to God until their new heart is completed. So, next time you are anxious about something, give it to God so you won't have to have a bad day. Satan wants you to have a bad day so he can work on you instead of letting God work with you, as you live to please Him daily. - The Parable of the Tree | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search The Parable of the Tree Jesus taught His disciples to either make the tree good, and its fruit good; or make the tree rotten, and its fruit rotten; for the tree is known by its fruit (Matt. 12:33). To better understand this parable, let's compare it with other sayings of Christ. "I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I would that you were cold or hot" (Rev. 3:15). "Let the one who does wrong, still do wrong; and let the one who is filthy, still be filthy; and let the one who is righteous, still practice righteousness; and let the one who is holy, still keep himself holy" (Rev. 22:11). "Little children, let no one deceive you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous" (1 John 3:7). "You shall be holy, for I am holy." (1 Peter 1:16). "Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect" (Matt. 5:48). Today we would use the expression, "Get off the fence." Either start to live like Jesus Christ or continue to stay as you are! But why? What is God going to distinguish by this? He will distinguish between the righteous and the wicked, between the one who serves God and the one who will not serve Him (Mal. 3:18). How can you tell? Anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God (1 John 3:10; 3 John 11). Then, those who practice righteousness must be the good trees with the good fruit, and the rotten trees are those who choose to remain hearers of the word (James 1:22). Those who continually practice righteousness are truly born of God (1 John 2:29). They are the wheat, the sheep, the good trees and the righteous because they practice righteousness and are rich in good works done for God's glory (1 John 3:7). The rotten trees, the goats, the tares, the chaff and the wicked are those who claim they are followers of Jesus Christ, but don't and won't live their lives to please the Lord (Titus 1:16). They are the religious people who will put to death the righteous and think they are doing God a service (John 16:2). They will have the attitude Cain had toward Abel. "Am I my brother's keeper?" Cain asked (Gen. 4:9). Yes, you are your brother's keeper if you are like Abel, whose deeds were righteous (Matt. 25:33-46; 1 John 3:12). - Not All Miracles Are From God | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Not All Miracles Are From God Jesus Christ predicted false christs and false prophets would come and show great signs and wonders at the end of this age. False ministers have always been around. Many do not know that they are false ministers. They preach in the name of Jesus Christ, perform many miracles, and cast out demons in the name of Jesus Christ (2 Cor. 11:13-15; Matt. 7:22-23). Their gospel is simply incomplete. They teach religious traditions to lock in their unsuspecting followers. When they teach what man has made up, their worship of God is in vain (Mark 7:6-7). Notice also, they are workers of lawlessness, which means they are not getting rid of their evil natures (1 John 3:4). The one thing these false (Satan’s) ministers are not preaching is how to do the Will of God daily on earth, as it is being done in heaven (Matt. 7:21; 6:10). They remain blinded as to what that Will of God is, so they cannot overcome their evil natures (Eph. 5:17). Initially, the Apostle Paul did not know what God’s Will was and as a result, he was killing God’s own elect. He was zealous for God but his zeal was misdirected. His zeal was not in accordance with God’s Will. He and others went about establishing their own righteousness and their own religions (Rom. 10:2-3). God called Paul in his religious ignorance and appointed him to know His Will (Acts 22:14). Where there’s a will, there’s a way, and if we do not know God’s Will, we do not know God’s Way—how we should live to please God and overcome. Consequently, millions of those who seek God today have been led astray and are now going down the religious broad way that leads to destruction (Matt. 7:13). Jesus Christ Himself said there are very few who find the narrow Way (Matt. 7:14). How many people do you know who do God’s Will daily in their lives for repentance and the sake of overcoming, as it is being done in heaven (Matt. 6:10; Acts 26:20 NIV; Rom. 12:21; Ps. 37:27)? How many even know what that means? How many people do you know who actually become weary in doing good for others, as Jesus, our example, became weary at times (2 Thess. 3:13; Gal. 6:9)? There was a man named Simon Magus who practiced miracles through the use of magic. Satan and his demons make miracles happen to those who follow them (Acts 8:9-11). This man tried to buy the Holy Spirit from the Apostle Peter so that he could have power to do even greater miracles (Acts 8:12-24). A clergyman once said, “All miracles are from God.” If you believe that statement, you will believe the beast when he comes. The beast who is coming will have the power of Satan and will perform signs (miracles) and false wonders (2 Thess. 2:9). The false prophet, mentioned in Revelation 13:11-18, will also have power to do all the miracles of the first beast. Yes, the whole world is being set up to believe that all miracles are from God. Satan has used miracles and false wonders to deceive those who would follow him in all generations. He has used weeping idols, weeping icons (pictures) and all types of deception. Trust God. Study His word until you can prove everything and trust His words. You cannot put your trust in men and what they tell you. Instead, you must prove everything by God’s word. You should do it because God said you should (1 Thess. 5:21). PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

- Faith and Grace | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Faith and Grace The subject of faith has been so badly abused that we have a world full of faithless people who call themselves Christians. Is salvation by faith or is salvation by grace? Doesn’t salvation come through repentance and obedience to God’s word? Doesn’t the Bible teach that those who do the Will of God will abide forever and enter the kingdom (1 John 2:17; Matt. 7:21)? Don’t you have to keep Christ’s words to overcome and never see death (John 8:51; Rev. 2:26)? The whole subject of faith and grace cannot be clearly understood unless you understand the subjects of faith and works. Without the works of faith, faith is dead, being by itself (James 2:14-26). Jesus Christ’s faith had good works, so His faith was not dead. Jesus was always imitating the Father daily, just as we are admonished to do (Eph. 5:1). If you say that you know the Lord, you must keep His word (John 8:55). You keep the Lord’s word by doing the works of the Father daily. You show people how to be a true disciple of Jesus Christ and you are ready to tell them, should they ask you, how to become a true disciple (Psalm 51:13; John 10:37). Jesus did not come to the earth to do His own Will, but to do the Will of the Father daily as it is done in heaven (John 4:34; 5:30; 6:38). Jesus did good works to glorify God in the Father’s name (Matt. 5:16; John 10:25). We, today, are to do good works in thought, word and deed, in the name of Jesus, giving thanks through Him to the Father (Col. 3:17). We need to be filled with the knowledge of God’s Will and have our minds renewed (Col. 1:9; Rom. 12:2). We cannot remain fools if we want to do God’s Will from the heart (Eph. 5:17; 6:6). We must diligently serve the Lord by happily practicing righteousness at all times so we can be blessed by Him and changed by Him (Rom. 12:11; Matt. 11:30; Psalm 106:3). If you keep Christ’s faith, you will engage in good works (Titus 3:8). You can rightly say that you believe because you are obeying the gospel and are a doer of the Lord’s word (James 1:22). Then by grace, God will forgive all your sins, past, present and future. He will then give you the free gift of eternal life because you repented and brought forth good works to prove it (Acts 26:20). - Information on Righteousness | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Information on Righteousness Is it possible to be righteous and still not be pleasing to God? The word of God says yes. The Pharisees were very righteous but they were righteous for self instead of for the right reason (Matt. 23:13, 25-26). They wanted recognition, fame and fortune. They loved receiving publicity for their righteousness (Matt. 5:20; 6:1). Many people today have a zeal for God but not with the right knowledge of what God really wants them to do (Rom. 10:2-3). They are not doing their righteousness for God and glorifying Him with their good works (Matt. 5:16). They are not doing all the good works that they do or the good words that they say in the name of Jesus Christ, as true disciples are commanded to do daily (Col. 3:17). Many are not doing their righteousness in secret, as God has commanded (Matt. 6:3-6). Many are not doing their righteousness in order to overcome the evil pulls of their nature (Rom. 12:21; Psalm 34:14; 37:27). Because many are doing righteousness for the wrong reasons, they are establishing their own righteousness. Therefore, many do not even believe they are evil or in need of repentance when they are still being held captive by Satan to do his will (2 Tim. 2:26). The more righteousness you do for God for repentance, the more you become aware of how unrighteous you really are (Rom. 7:18). The more righteousness you do for self, the more unaware you become of how evil you really are (Luke 11:13). It is lethal to do good for any other reason than to glorify God daily. Your righteousness must be done in secret and not to be admired by others. Your righteousness must be done to show God respect (fear) and love. This is how to keep God’s Ways of righteousness in your life. Go to God and ask Him to show you His Ways. Do not continue to do it your way, because God’s Ways are not our ways (Is. 55:8-9). Our ways are Satan’s ways (Eph. 2:3). Let us follow the righteous directions for conversion found in God’s word (Acts 26:20). Repent! Turn to God by performing good works for reasons of repentance and to build godly character (1 Tim. 4:7-8). By doing good for God, let us seek Him and become righteous in all our ways (Rom. 3:10-12; 1 John 3:7). Let us prove to be disciples of Jesus Christ by bearing good fruit (good works) on our spiritual trees (Col. 1:10; Matt. 7:19; 3:10).
