- The Importance of Studying Your Bible | WHOLE WHEAT
The Importance of Studying Your Bible Part of the Will of God is to study the Bible. Many who study the Bible, study for information rather than correction. Disciples of Jesus Christ are admonished not to be foolish, but understand what the Will of God is. It appears that people who claim to be His disciples today are least informed about this aspect of spiritual and godly living. God’s word says that all Scripture is profitable for teaching, reproof, correction and training in how to practice righteousness, so that the man of God may know how to do good to please God. How many people have studied the life of Christ for many years, but have never started to live like Him? We are to imitate Jesus Christ and the Father by daily practicing the sayings of Jesus Christ. Jesus’ words will judge all humanity at the end of the age. The central teaching of the Bible is to engage in a life of good deeds, endure and not become weary in well-doing, and overcome our evil natures by doing good deeds. If this is the kind of peculiar people Christ is making for Himself—and He is—we should then be studying the Bible to train ourselves in righteousness. Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Ephesians 5:17 For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. Colossians 1:9 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ. 1 Corinthians 11:1 If anyone hears My sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day. John 12:47-48 And having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. 19 I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, resulting in further lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness, resulting in sanctification. Romans 6:18-19 Who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds. - Rehabilitation | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Rehabilitation Many people do not stop to realize that the Bible is a handbook on rehabilitation. When He was living here on earth, Jesus Christ was calling all kinds of sinners to repentance and teaching them how to change their way of life to one that pleases God (Matt. 9:13; 1 Cor. 6:9-10). Zaccheus was one of these people. He was a chief tax collector for the Roman government (Luke 19:1-9). Christ always mentioned tax collectors right along with harlots. Zacchaeus stole a great deal of money and became rich by doing so. How did Zaccheus repent? He gave half of his possessions to the poor and made fourfold restitution to those he had cheated. Zacchaeus began practicing righteousness. He was truly getting involved with a life of good works and thus, leaving behind a life of bad works. Don’t you think he glorified God in heaven by those good works, and didn’t his light begin to shine (Matt. 5:16)? Zacchaeus must have understood what Jesus meant when He said to repent because Jesus said, "Today salvation has come to this house." Other thieves were also told to stop stealing and get an honest job so they could do good with their money and share it with others who had a need (Eph. 4:28). God’s policy on repentance includes practicing righteousness and honesty for God (Ezek. 33:13-16). John the Baptist told people how to do good for repentance (Luke 3:10-11; Matt. 21:32; 2 Peter 2:21). Yes, practicing righteousness toward others is how you prove to God that you are repentant (Acts 26:20; 1 John 3:7, 10). It is how you bring forth good fruits, which are good works, on your spiritual tree (Matt. 3:10; Luke 3:8; Col. 1:10). Keep doing God’s Will, which is righteousness, until God makes it come from your heart (Eph. 6:6; Matt. 5:20; Gal. 4:19; Rom. 16:20). The Lord is the only one who can rehabilitate a person. He is the only one who can grant you repentance (2 Tim. 2:25-26). PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International
- Matters of the Heart: A Woman to Woman Article | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Matters of the Heart: A Woman to Woman Article The condition of our heart really matters to our Lord. We can try to put on a false front to those around us, but we cannot fool God. He knows what we think and how we feel. When He chooses us, He has a very special plan for us. Part of His plan is to work with and change our heart. He says in Colossians 3:12-13, “Those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you.” And, Colossians 3:14 says: “And beyond all these things, put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.” There is a picture to grasp from these verses. When Satan runs evil thoughts by us, we are to turn off those thoughts and think about helping others—not only with our hands, but with our minds and our mouths too. There is a saying so true, which is: “We are what we think, not what we think we are.” When we think about what we can do to be compassionate, we can then speak and act with compassion. When we think about what we can do to be kind, humble, gentle and patient, we will then be all of these wonderful things and fulfill the law of God. In all these things, love is the bottom line. We can successfully carry out all God’s wonderful fruits of the Spirit when we think, and act, with love (Gal. 5:22-23). Another matter of the heart is peace. Colossians 3:15 talks about peace ruling in our heart. Peace rules when we think peaceful thoughts. However, one may constantly think of how evil the world is becoming. This is true; this is a fact. But we need to think on how we can make the world a better place by showing love—saying good words and doing good works (actions) toward others for God. We can be assured that our Lord is fulfilling His prophecies, and we can think of all the positive things happening to make this all come about. One way I keep peace in my heart, is I love to listen to good, uplifting music. (Go to the MORE page to hear some of Karren's original gospel music). It makes my thoughts very pleasant. Colossians 3:16 says: “Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in our hearts to God.” I’d say that about sums it up perfectly! - If Jesus Should Come Back Tomorrow | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search If Jesus Should Come Back Tomorrow Would you be ready today if Jesus should come back tomorrow? We are to live our lives today as though Jesus would come back tomorrow. Be ready at all times—living right, thinking right and doing right. We must be alert at all times against sin, because we do not know which day our Lord is coming (Matt. 24:42). We are continually warned in God’s word to be on guard against sin. Then, these sins are listed in Luke 21:34, which include being weighted down with dissipation. Webster’s Dictionary says dissipation is: wasteful expenditure of time or self-indulgence (shop ’til you drop; endless browsing of the internet or social media; countless hours spent in front of the television or streaming videos; binge watching); free indulgence in drinking (drunkenness); riotous living; the cares of this life; the worries of life (Matt. 13:22). God’s word warns that if these things are in your life, that day could come upon you suddenly, like a trap (Luke 21:34). Yes, the day of the Lord will come when mankind will least expect it. There is a test coming upon the whole world very soon that is from God. Only those who persevere steadily and faithfully, and keep and perform Jesus’ words will be spared from that hour of testing (Rev. 3:10). The Lord wants to know who will be faithful and endure to the end and who will not. He wants to know who will serve Him and who will not (Mal. 3:18). He wants to know who will be the sheep and who will remain as the goats—who will serve others and who will not. The Prophet Daniel was consistent and steadfast and faithful in his walk with God. In a prophecy concerning the last days, it states that everyone of Daniel’s people (people who are faithful like Daniel) will be rescued (Dan. 12:1; Prov. 11:8, 21). What are we to be faithful in? Faithful in giving (Luke 6:38; 2 Cor. 9:6-8). Faithful in studying God’s word so you are approved (2 Tim. 2:15 KJV). Faithful in prayer (Luke 21:36 KJV; Eph. 6:11-18). All will go well for those who remain faithful to righteousness (Is. 3:10). The Lord will not cause the righteous to hunger (Prov. 10:3; 13:25). Because Jesus said the gospel of the kingdom would be preached and published in all the world for a witness, I believe some people will take the message soberly and take warning and change their way of living to that of Jesus’ Way (Matt. 24:14). They will begin to study (not read) God’s word daily. They will cry out in private to the Lord to save them and show them the Way to live so that they might please Him each day. The others will wait until it’s too late—when they see the sign of the Son of Man coming in the sky (Matt. 24:30). They will be the ones who will hide themselves in caves because they know the Lord is coming, and His wrath is for them (Rev. 6:15-16; Is. 2:19; Hosea 10:8; Is. 24:6; Luke 23:30). Yet, verse 17 of Revelation 6 says: For the great day of their wrath has come. Whose wrath? Those hiding in the caves. The Scripture ends with the question, “Who is able to stand?” Both Psalm 24:3-6 and Psalm 50:22-23 give the answer In conclusion, it all comes down to this. Repent! How? Be a daily doer of the word (Psalm 34:11-14; James 1:22). Fulfill the Scriptures that the righteous fulfill, or you will automatically be fulfilling the Scriptures of the wicked (Mal. 3:18; Matt. 25:41). Now you know how to get ready today, should the Lord return tomorrow. PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

- The Mystery of the Book of Job | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search The Mystery of the Book of Job To many people, the book of Job is in the same category as Genesis, Daniel and Revelation because it remains a mystery. What is the mystery? In order to know the mystery we must add up the facts. God said Job was complete, perfect, undefiled, upright and blameless (Job 1:1; 2:3). Many people today disagree with the fact that Job knew he was being tested by God (Job 1:21-22; 2:9-10). God was using Satan to do the testing, as He always does (Job 2:6; Matt. 4:1; Luke 22:31). Even Job’s friends knew it was a test (Job 5:17-18). In his pain, Job rejoiced that he had not denied the words of God (Job 6:10). Then his friends turned on him and began to question his faith (Job 8:6). Job knew that according to the knowledge of God, he was not guilty; but Zophar said he was (Job 10:7; 11:6). His friends began to smear Job with lies (Job 13:4). Job knew he was being examined or tested, just as all true disciples of Jesus Christ are today (Job 13:9; 1 Peter 4:1, 12, 16, 19; 5:10). Job knew that what his friends were insinuating was meaningless as ashes (Job 13:12). Job knew if he continued to hope in the Lord and trust Him, even if he died, he would be saved (Job 13:15-16). His friends were telling him his sins of the past were not forgiven, but Job knew they were not being held against him (Job 13:26; 14:16-17). His friends, who now had become his foes, lashed out at him (Job 15:5-6). Job knew he was innocent and that this was a test from God, although by this time, his friends had become his scoffers (Job 16:17, 20; 17:2). Then, Job uttered a prophecy concerning Christ in the future (Job 17:5-8). Job’s friends became increasingly evil (Job 19:2-22). Job said that the wicked are not interested in God’s Ways or in serving God, as Job was (Job 21:14-15; 29:12-16). Job’s friends did not understand suffering, just as most people today do not understand it. Job was being perfected by God through suffering. Job’s friends did not say what was right, but Job did (Job 42:7)! Although Job was a son of God, he learned obedience from the things he suffered, just as Jesus Christ did (Heb. 5:8-9). That’s how God makes you perfect (Heb. 12:23; Job 1:1). When you practice righteousness for God by serving others daily, you are considered righteous by God (1 John 3:7). That is when the Lord begins to perfect you (1 Peter 5:10). God’s word says that any person who will not practice righteousness for God remains of the devil (1 John 3:10). That is why it pays to please God, as Job always did (Job 29:12-18; 31:16-20) PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

- Avoiding Evil vs. Overcoming Evil | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Avoiding Evil vs. Overcoming Evil Are you trying to be a good person? Are you trying not to drink too much, swear, smoke or overeat? Are you trying to stop thinking filthy thoughts? Is there some other bad habit you are trying to control? Do you ever catch yourself doing something good to cover up something bad you just did? Do you give to this or that fund from time to time so you can say that you are not all bad? Do you have some good days and some bad days, but things are looking down more than they are looking up for you? Well, maybe you are going about it the wrong way. Maybe you are going at it your way instead of God’s Way. The Bible says our natures prevent us from doing the very thing we want to do (Rom. 7:15). For example, when we try to stop smoking, that is when we tend to smoke more. When we try to control our own nature by going on a diet, we might struggle to lose 20 pounds, but then our nature runs amuck and we gain back 28 pounds! You cannot overcome evil by avoiding evil. You might be able to subdue it for a while, but evil will eventually win in most cases. You must overcome evil by doing good for God daily (Rom. 12:21; Psalm 37:27). You must make sure that you are not doing your good to be noticed by others. Instead, you must do all that you do in secret, and in the name of Jesus Christ, for the glory of the Father (Matt. 6:1; Col. 3:17). Then what happens? God begins to allow you to be tested (1 Cor. 3:13; 1 Peter 1:6-7). But you must continue doing good for God. Instead of thinking about the evil you want to do, get busy doing something good for God. Get involved in the process of replacing the bad things in your life with good things, for the purpose of repentance (Acts 26:20). Soon you will begin to notice that in your weakness, God’s strength is made strong (2 Cor. 12:9). You are becoming rich in good works (Titus 2:12; 3:8; 1 Tim. 6:18). The problem falls away as though it never had been a problem. Continue being zealous in doing good for God every day. Continue in the godly process of overcoming your nature until Christ has been formed in you and you are a new creature (Titus 2:14; 1 Peter 2:1-5, 12; 3:10-11; Gal. 4:19; 6:15). You will be made complete and perfect by God the Father, the same as Jesus Christ, our example, was made perfect (Heb. 5:8-9). When you do good works for the Father, you are doing the Father’s works and not your own (John 14:10-12; Rom. 8:12-14; Col. 3:5-13). This is how you do God’s Will. Then you are overcoming evil instead of avoiding evil and soon you will be a new creation of God (Gal. 6:15). wholewheatonline.com Search Guilt Guilt is one of Satan’s most effective weapons. Satan wants you to feel you are not doing enough. He wants you to think you are unworthy. He wants you to doubt and he wants you to be discouraged. But all of these feelings are not in the Will of God (Mark 4:19). So how do you get rid of them and stop Satan from choking your relationship with God? These thoughts and feelings have no place in the life of a disciple of Jesus Christ. You know you are not worthy. You know you are not doing enough. But it is God’s job to perfect more of Christ’s character in you (1 Cor. 3:7). God trims any tree that bears fruit so it will bear more fruit (John 15:2). The fruit is righteousness, and when you practice righteousness, you are automatically going to bear good fruit. But notice! It is God who trims the branches so you can bear more good fruit. God builds the character in you that will produce more fruit. When you worry that you are not doing enough, you are opening a door to Satan so he can discourage you enough to quit altogether. If Satan can get you to quit bearing fruit in good works, he has accomplished his purpose, which is to stop you completely (Col. 1:10; 1 Peter 5:8). You are not to evaluate whether or not you are doing enough. You are just simply told to practice righteousness and overcome evil by practicing good (Rom. 12:21). You are to do it with enthusiasm until God makes it come from your heart. Satan would like you to make a big deal out of it, when Christ said His Ways are easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30). You just do the practicing and let God do the perfecting. Don’t let your human nature stop you. Have the mind of a little child. “Little children, let no one deceive you. The one who practices righteousness is righteous, even as God is righteous” (1 John 3:7). So, there is no need to feel guilty. Just continue pleasing God by doing what is right and pleasing in His sight, and you will abide in His love. - It's So Simple: A Woman to Woman Article | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search It's So Simple: A Woman to Woman Article It’s so simple, yet people simply don’t see it. It’s as simple as what I ask of my children each day. All I ask is that they act kindly toward others—doing whatever they can to make others happy, especially grandparents or any other elderly people they see or have over to their home. Yes, this simple way is God’s Way of life. We ask our children to use good words towards each other. And when evil thoughts come into their minds, we tell them to just get rid of them by thinking of something good to do—and then doing it for God. If any child visits our home and they are undisciplined, no matter what their problem, we ask our children to be kind and show them a good time. It’s such a beautiful way to live. Our children have actually influenced other children to be respectful to their parents. They have helped other children to clean up their mouth and to stop swearing. They have shown others how to keep their rooms neat and help their mother clean the rest of the house. Matthew 5:16 says, “Let your light so shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” Only those who do good are of God (3 John 11). We are the children of God. God is our Father, and we show Him respect daily by continually doing what is right in His sight (1 John 3:22). Will you be that child I described above? Will you glorify your Father in heaven every moment of every day? Life is simply wonderful when we live this simple, beautiful Way of life. We become precious to God when we serve Him continually in this wonderful Way called “the Way of righteousness” (Matt. 21:32; 2 Peter 2:21). wholewheatonline.com Search Feeling Bad? How many people do you know who feel bad about things (Matt. 11:28-30)? They feel bad because they do not have more money. They feel bad about the cars they drive and the houses in which they live. They feel bad about their neighbors. They feel bad because they are on the heavy side or too thin. They look in the mirror and say, "If I only had dark hair, a prettier nose, or was taller…" White people spend hours in the sun to turn a golden brown. Sometimes dark-skinned people use a cream to lighten their skin. Human beings are never satisfied. They are overcome by their anxieties. One minute they are up and the next minute they are down. One minute they feel like throwing in the towel, the next minute they say, "I have no problems. I would be perfectly all right if it were not for those good for nothing…" Why do those who profess to be Christians continue to live to the flesh, when it is so easy to live to the Spirit and feel good about everything (Gal. 5:16, 25)? The word of God tells us to seek peace and earnestly pursue it (1 Peter 3:11). It says, "Whatever is peaceful, lovely and good, think on these things." (Phil. 4:8-9). Disciples of Jesus Christ have bad moments, not bad days! When we do good works to glorify the Father, as Jesus commanded us to do, we allow the Father to form Jesus Christ’s nature within us (Rom. 2:6-8; Matt. 5:16; Gal. 4:19). We may even do greater works than Jesus did, because He had to return to the Father (John 14:12). We overcome our natures by keeping the works of Jesus Christ (Rev. 2:26). We discipline ourselves according to godliness by imitating God and by doing His works, which are good works (1 Tim. 4:7; Eph. 5:1; 1 Cor. 11:1; Matt. 25:33-46). Jesus died so we could be free of guilt. When we live to please Him, we no longer need to feel guilty or have bad days. Instead, we will only have bad moments, which never turn into bad days because we cast all our cares into God’s lap. God said He will provide us with everything if we practice His righteousness and seek His kingdom first (Matt. 6:33; Rom. 10:3). So have a good day! - All About God's Nature | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search All About God's Nature There are three natures mentioned in God’s word: God’s nature, Satan’s nature and human nature. Satan’s nature controls human nature, so there is no good thing in human nature (Luke 18:19; Rom. 7:18; John 7:7). Human nature is being held captive by Satan to do Satan’s will (2 Tim. 2:26). Satan’s will is put to death in our bodies when we do only God’s Will daily in our lives. Jesus Christ came to tell us about the Father’s nature. He said it is very easy for us to acquire the Father’s nature (Matt. 11:30). All we need to do is forsake our human nature by imitating Him (1 Cor. 11:1; Eph. 5:1). The Lord is righteous in all His Ways and kind in all His deeds (Psalm 145:17). When we practice righteous deeds for God, we are obedient to Jesus Christ and we allow the Spirit of God to dwell in us (1 John 3:10; Acts 5:32). We are keeping His Ways because we are doing His Will. The Spirit of God then reveals God’s nature in us (Rom. 8:29; Gal. 1:16; 4:19). This is called the doctrine that conforms one to godliness (1 Tim. 6:3). Human nature will not die without a fight. That is why you must fight the good fight of faith, and have faith that God will implant His nature in you (Psalm 4:5; Phil. 2:12). You will then be a new creature in Christ Jesus (Col. 1:28). When you have this new godly nature, then you will be righteous in all you do. You will be like Jesus because you will keep His deeds (Rev. 2:26). When all you do is righteous, then all you will reap will be blessings. You will be living the abundant life, full of joy and peace, that Jesus Christ came to show you (John 10:10; Acts 3:19, 26). You will understand that you were created to do good works and that the message of eternal life is righteousness (Eph. 2:10; John 8:51). Satan hates it when you practice righteousness for God’s glory because this is how he is put to death in your flesh (Matt. 5:16). Do not let him stop you! Be zealous for good deeds and overcome your human nature (1 Peter 3:13; Rom. 12:21; Psalm 37:27). That is how you resist Satan and have God’s nature formed in you (James 4:7; Eph. 6:11, 13). The God of peace and love, who is calling you to this holy Way of life, will soon crush Satan under your feet, and after you have suffered a little, God will perfect His nature in you (Rom. 16:20; 1 Peter 5:10; Gal. 4:19). Estudios de la biblia en español. Bible studies in Spanish to learn about living for God. ¡No estaríamos aquí! ¡Vamos a descubrirlo! (2 Tim. 2:26; Mat. 6:10). ¡No seas engañado religiosamente! No cobres interés a tu prójimo (Sal. 15:5; Ex. 22:25). 10. No uses malas palabras, vulgaridades o digas groserías. (Mat. 25:35). 23. Glorifica a Dios con buenas obras (Mat.5:16). 24. Has tus oraciones en secreto.
- It Pays To Be Good For God | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search It Pays To Be Good For God God is good because God does good (Psalm 145:17). God's word says He repays the good and evil we do daily (1 Peter 3:12, Eph. 6:8). God wants us to be good so He can bless us (Psalm 125:4). We can't be good unless we do good, and we must practice righteousness to do good. God constantly does good because He is good. We must constantly do good so we can be considered righteous, holy and blameless before God. God’s Ways are righteous and when we practice righteousness, we are living by God’s Ways. God’s Ways are holy and when we practice living holy by keeping God’s Ways, we are considered holy by God (1 John 3:7). God’s Way is blameless, and all who live for God by serving others are living as God lives and are, therefore, considered blameless (Job 1:1, 8; 2:3; Gen. 6:9). Job knew that according to God’s word, he was not guilty of sin (Job 10:7). His sins were in a bag (Job 14:16-17). He knew he was a just and blameless man, even though his friends did not think so. They thought he was a joke (Job 12:4). But Job was the one who spoke what was right before God (Job 42:8). All God’s true disciples are servants of others for God. They put no confidence in the flesh, in which there is no good thing (Phil. 3:3). What a wonderful day it will be when Jesus Christ comes, when all people will love each other by serving their neighbors and practicing hospitality toward one another. Everyone will be learning to love others in a selfless way, because they will be serving others for the glory of God (Matt. 5:16; Col. 3:17). Yes, it pays to be good for God because then, He can bless us and bring us into the good life, which is the life that God lives (Acts 3:26).
