- The Missing Key | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search The Missing Key What is the truth? We could guess and say that it represents all that is good, and that would be true. But what represents all that is good? God does. Furthermore, if God represents good, then His laws, commandments, precepts and judgments represent only what is good, because they come from God (Psalm 119:142, 30, 151). By practicing mercy and truth, your sins are forgiven. This is how you show reverence and respect to God, thereby departing from evil and living a life of love and charity (Prov. 16:6). Practicing truth, then, is how one departs from evil (Is. 59:15; John 3:21; Psalm 37:27). This “missing key” is what keeps the gospel locked. It keeps the Bible from being understood. Only when you practice the truth, will the gospel be unlocked to you (John 3:21). Jesus told the Pharisees of His day, “Go and learn what this means, ‘I desire compassion [mercy] and not [animal] sacrifice’” (Matt. 9:13). Jesus repeats this statement in Matthew 12:7, “I desire compassion [mercy] and not sacrifice.” Had the Pharisees looked into the Scriptures, they would have found Proverbs 21:3, which says: “To do righteousness and justice is desired by the Lord rather than sacrifice.” In Psalm 106:3, God’s word says: “How blessed are those who keep justice, who practice righteousness at all times.” This is God’s covenant with man, the covenant He made with Abraham that was to last for 1,000 generations. A generation is 30 years, so that’s 30,000 years (Psalm 105:8-9)! Psalm 145:17 states that God is righteous in all His Ways and kind in all His deeds. If you will practice righteousness in all your ways and be kind in all your deeds, you will be imitating God (Eph. 5:1). When you practice the truth and only show love to others, the Lord will forgive all your sins and answer all your prayers, because this is how sins are atoned for (1 Peter 4:8). Practicing righteousness and justice (mercy, compassion and love) towards all others is how you keep God’s Ways! Notice what the Lord said about Abraham in Genesis 18:19: “For I have chosen him [Abraham] in order that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the ways of the Lord [How?] by [practicing or] doing righteousness and [practicing] justice...” The Hebrew word for charity is “tzedaka.” It is derived from the root of “justice.” Practicing charity, mercy, compassion, kindness and acts of righteousness continually towards others is how a person keeps God’s Ways, and thus, lives a repentant life before God. God’s Ways are His commandments, His laws, His statutes, His precepts. They are all fulfilled when we continually practice charity towards all others by keeping God’s Ways—His works, which is the true definition of the word truth! This is how you worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24). Now you can clearly understand what Jesus said in Matthew 5:16: “God in heaven is glorified [worshiped] by a life of good works and that is how a true disciple of Jesus Christ lets his light shine before others.” When you look up the word “glorify” in a dictionary, it says, “worship.” God is worshiped by a life of good works. The very word “truth” represents good works. Ephesians 2:10 says that we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Doing good works for God is how we walk in God’s love. Doing good works is walking in the truth (2 John 4). Doing good works, which is practicing the truth, is how we keep the commandments Jesus received from the Father, which will judge us in the last days (John 12:47-50). This is how we love our neighbor (anyone in need) and show love to all (2 John 5-6). This is how we abide in the teachings of Christ (2 John 9). God’s word says that if anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or even give him a greeting (2 John 10). They are all antichrist (2 John 7)! Now you know how to keep Jesus Christ’s commandments and overcome Satan and sin in your life (1 John 2:14). Just keep Jesus’ works by practicing righteousness or doing good to others daily for God (Rev. 2:26; Matt. 6:1). What you are reading in this article is literally the key to entering the kingdom of heaven. These are the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is the doctrine that conforms one to a life of godliness (1 Tim. 6:3-4). Practicing the truth (doing good works of love for God) is practicing godliness (Titus 1:1). This is how to love your neighbor, which is the second greatest commandment. This is how to love your neighbor with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, just as Jesus did. It’s how you worship Him and show your love for God continually. It’s how you put on Christ, live like Christ, clothe yourself with Christ and have Christ’s nature formed in you (Gal. 4:19). It’s how you live to the Spirit and put to death the evil deeds of the flesh for God (Psalm 37:27; 1 Peter 3:10-11; Rom. 8:13). It’s how you walk in the Spirit so you will not carry out the evil desires of the flesh (Gal. 5:16). This is how to be led by the Spirit and be sons of God. It is how you become partakers of God’s divine nature (2 Peter 1:4). It is how we crucify the flesh with its evil passions and desires, and thus, belong to Christ (Gal. 5:24). It is how we live by the Spirit, as well as walk by the Spirit (Gal. 5:25). Practicing the truth by doing good works of love is how the gospel is unlocked and revealed to you by God (John 3:21). It is how to obey Christ and come out from under the wrath of God (John 3:36). It is how to obey Jesus Christ daily and have your sins forgiven or be covered by Christ’s blood (1 Peter 1:2). He who does God’s Will comes into the understanding of what the gospel truly says (John 7:17). God’s Will is righteousness and doing good with God’s love. The truth is Jesus’ words. The truth is God’s word, the Bible. The truth is God’s commandments. The truth is God’s law. Practicing the truth, practicing righteousness towards others daily to please the Lord, is walking in the truth. It is how one worships God. God’s word is clear; the person who will not practice righteousness for God remains of the devil (1 John 3:10). 1 Peter 4:18 says: “If it is with difficulty that the righteous is saved [the one who practices righteous good works of love towards others daily, which is practicing the truth and is God’s Will], what will become of the godless man and the sinner [those who are goats in Matthew 25:33 and 41]?” In the second chapter of James, the righteous are those who practice good works of love continually. Salvation is the inheritance of the righteous. Now you know how to be righteous before God (James 4:17). Will you be found a sheep or goat by the Lord when He returns soon? Now you know the truth so you can be found a sheep at the Lord’s return (Matt. 25:34, 40- 41). - Where is Your Heart? | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Where is Your Heart? God does not show partiality (Gal. 2:6). Those who obey Him are as the apple of His eye (Psalm 17:8). The people or nations who do not obey Him mean less than nothing to Him (Isa 40:17). In the past, God blotted out everyone in the world, but spared Noah, who was a righteous man and had a heart for God, and his family. Those blotted out would not repent and live to please their Maker. He has blotted out scores of nations from the face of this earth because they were wicked and would not repent and change. Man’s downfall through the ages is that he has not taken the Lord seriously. As a result, many have perished in the past. What God has always desired of man is that he would repent (Luke 13:3, 5). The Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities that surrounded them not only for their sins, but also for an example to mankind of what will happen to all who continue to sin (2 Peter 2:6). God is slow to anger, compassionate, gracious, and abounding in loving-kindness and truth. But many times mankind has pushed God to the limit. How do we repent and make ourselves pleasing in God’s sight? To begin with, we know that it pleases God when we study His word daily. When we study His word, we are approved of God (2 Tim. 2:15). It pleases God when we continually practice charity toward others (Acts 9:36). There are many ways to supply the needs of others—being kind, cheering up someone, giving clothing, money, shelter, or anything to someone in need (Matt. 25:33-40). We are careful to serve and include the lame, the blind, the elderly or the poor, who cannot possibly pay us back (Luke 14:13-14). We are then fulfilling Scriptures that the righteous are to fulfill. God’s word says, “Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also” (Matt. 6:21). This word treasure comes from the Greek word thesauros meaning; something very much valued or valuables. So where we put our money, our time, our vested interest – our heart is revealed also. We are placing a value on whatever we support or put ourselves into. Take a moment to think about what you put your heart in. When people donate to a church it becomes part of their heart. They support it and feel a bond, so they are behind it. What if that church is not preaching the truth from God’s word (Matt. 7:15-24; Mark 7:7-9)? What are you actually supporting then? Think of this when it comes to any other organization you may donate to or support. On the surface many things can look good. Think about if you were to vote for someone. You are putting your heart into that candidate or person – you value them highly enough to cast a ballot in your name and vote for them, whether you actually give them money or not, you are supporting them. You have given your stamp of approval and are now associated with what they stand for. You feel an obligation to support or defend what they say or believe, simply because you voted for them - because you have put your heart there (Rom. 16:18). It is a very slippery slope when you become entangled with the world (2 Pet. 2:20). Think about the ramifications of what you may find yourself entangled in. We must be careful not to become enslaved to the world, by attaching our heart to things, or people, of the world. This would surely be dividing our treasure unwisely (Matt. 12:35; Luke 6:45, 12:21; James 5:3). In Colossians 2:3, it refers to the same treasure as wisdom and knowledge (from God). Therefore, let us wisely consider, with the knowledge God has given us, what we give ourselves to or who we stand with. As Matthew 6:24 says: ‘No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon (the god of riches – Satan – ruler of this world). The Amplified Bible expounds on mammom even further: [money, possessions, fame, status, or whatever is valued more than the Lord]. God does not want us to store up treasure on earth but wants us to instead store up treasures in heaven which is our good deeds of righteousness, done for repentance, for the glory of God (Matt. 6:19-20; Acts 26:20). When we look to the Bible we see several examples of those who trusted in their treasures connected to earth and were destroyed (Job 20:26; Jer. 48:7; 49:4; 50:37). Who does God want us to support? Let’s look to the Scriptures and see. God wants you to honor Him by setting aside a portion of your weekly earnings (treasure) for Him (Prov. 3:9; Eph. 4:28). Then He wants you to learn how to do good for others with His money (1 Tim 6:17-19; 2 Cor. 9:6-11; Luke 6:38). He wants you to give money to the needy, loan money without charging interest, and He wants you to do so expecting nothing in return (Matt. 6:2-4; Luke 6:34-35, 38). He tells us to support those who teach the truth of God’s Ways in His name, so that you too may be a fellow worker for the Lord. Therefore, if you are supporting the work of God and those who do it, you have become part of that work as a fellow worker (3 John 7-8). This is another way to draw closer to God because you are putting your treasure and therefore your heart behind His work (Mal. 3:8-10). This has a way of strengthening your commitment and relationship to God (Matt 12:30; John 4:35-36; Matt. 9:36-38; Rom. 10:13-15; Matt. 22:21). These are all wise uses of the treasure God has given you (Acts 20:35; Phil. 4:15-19). God wants you to continually give so He can continually bless you and continually increase your income so you can continually increase your giving (2 Cor. 9:10; 2 Cor. 8:7-8). God does good even to ungrateful men (Luke 6:35). When it comes to using your God’s money, remember that when you give directly to the needy, 100 percent is going to the source and you are being a good steward of God’s money. This is one of the best ways you can make the most of your money set aside for God. Before you support any worthy cause, you should investigate it and know for sure that it is indeed a worthy cause. Always check on what percentage is going to that worthy cause and ask for the proof. Many ads for ‘worthy causes’ can be very deceptive, and only pennies on the dollar actually go to serve the need they are soliciting for. God wants you to learn righteousness by engaging in it daily, for He knows if you don’t, you won’t learn righteousness (Titus 3:8). God also wants us to be a good example in all respects. It is pleasing to God when we say only what is good and right, keeping our conversations pure. Whoever speaks is to do so as though they were the actual words of God (1 Peter 4:11). He hates those who swear and use profanity, and we are His enemies if we use His name for a swear word or a curse (Ex. 20:7; Psalm 139:20). He hates those whose mouths speak foolishly or coarsely, whose mouths are not courteous and kind at all times. The mouth of a fool speaks foolishness (Prov. 1:7, 3:35, 9:6, 10:8, 23, 12:23; Psalm 107:17). A foul mouth indicates a foul heart, but those who speak what is right, are a constant praise to God as well as men. Proverbs 6:16-19 tells us He also hates haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that run rapidly to evil, a false witness who declares lies, and one who spreads strife. What the Lord desires in a man is kindness—kindness in words and in deeds, deeds being first and foremost (1 John 3:18). The Lord wants righteousness and justice from us (Ezek. 33:16). He wants us to be just in all our dealings with mankind, to pay our debts on time, keep our word, owe no money to any man, as much as possible, and be at peace with all men as much as possible. He does not want you to go into debt and lose your peace of mind. He wants you to save your money and pay cash for what you buy as much as you possibly can. The world wants you to go into debt. They say you must, if you want good credit. God says you should not go into debt because it encourages coveting, lust and greed (Rom. 13:8). It will take your peace and you will be unhappy. Instead, be content with what you have. Be content at all times (1 Tim. 6:8). Make your requests known to God and He will bring them to pass (Phil. 4:6). God knows if you obey Him, you will have to depend on Him for everything. This is what He wants you to learn to do. He wants you to learn to depend on Him. Soon, God is going to punish the nations for their sins. He will accomplish this by causing nation to war with nation and kingdom with kingdom (Matt. 24:7). This will bring in great tribulation such as has not occurred from the beginning of the world, nor will it ever be that bad again (Matt. 24:21). A time of distress such as has never occurred since there was a nation will soon occur (Dan. 12:1). This will come upon the whole world as a snare when least expected. For when they say, “Peace, peace,” watch out, because here comes the war (1 Thess. 5:3-4, 9-10). At the time God chooses everyone who has been written in the Lord’s book of remembrance will be rescued. Only those who showed God respect (feared God) daily by practicing the principles outlined in God’s word will be considered for escape (Mal. 3:16-17). Only those who prayed continually that they would be considered worthy to escape all these things will be considered (Luke 21:34-36). Make no mistake about it, these Scriptures will be fulfilled just as surely as all Bible prophesies in the past were fulfilled. If you keep God’s word with perseverance now, and practice the principles you know in your heart are true, God may keep you from the hour of testing which is surely coming upon the whole world. God will soon test all the people of the world to see if they will repent by continually doing good (Rev. 3:10). When war comes, then people repent. God knows only those with an honest and good heart will build godly character (fruit) for Him now (Luke 8:15). The others will wait for the war to come. We are told to continue to practice righteousness and stay humble or teachable. Perhaps we will be hidden by the Lord in the day of His wrath against the nations and their peoples (Zeph. 2:3). There is no guarantee because we are untrustworthy, but God is trustworthy. God encourages those who begin to live for Him when He says, “Tell the righteous all will go well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their own actions” (Is. 3:10). God wants from us so little compared to what He will do for us in return for our daily obedience. Only a fool would ignore His words. Show God where your heart is, by continually honoring Him in all you think, do and say, living a life that is pleasing to Him in all respects. Then, if you endure to the end, God willing, He will declare you to be His very special treasure (Mal. 3:16-17 AMP). - Your Only Protection is Righteousness | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Your Only Protection is Righteousness In Isaiah 3:10 it states, “Say to the righteous that all will go well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their own actions.” In the past, if there were ten righteous people in a town, the Lord would spare the whole city (Gen. 18:32). Noah was the only one righteous in his day, and God spared his family too (Gen. 7:1). Job was the only one on the earth in his day who lived for God and walked with God by serving others, and thus, he was turning away from evil by doing so (Job 1:8; 2:3; 29:12-17). In the Prophet Jeremiah’s day, God said to him, “Roam back and forth through the streets of Jerusalem to see if you can find one person who is seeking Me by seeking the truth [My word] by being just [charitable] in all his ways towards his neighbor [others] and who is only living to do good to others, and I will pardon the whole city of Jerusalem” (Jer. 5:1). Today the Lord’s policy is; we will deliver only ourselves by our righteousness, as Noah, Job and Daniel did in Ezekiel 14:13-20. Say to the righteous that all will go well with them in those days, for they shall eat the fruit of their actions (Is. 3:10). When you personally walk with God daily, by keeping His Ways, you are very special in God’s eyes and He hears your prayers. This is because you show Him respect daily, by doing His Will by serving others (Psalm 4:3; John 9:31). The Lord will make you prosper(Psalm 1:3). God will not forsake those who seek Him, by doing good daily to please Him (Psalm 9:10; Rom. 3:10-12). Jesus only lived to do good by being a servant to others. He did this to please the Father. He only lived to do the Father’s Will, which is doing good and helping others. Jesus was imitating the Way the Father lived in heaven. He was zealous for what was good (1 Peter 3:13). He came to make disciples who would purify their lives before Him, by being zealous for what is good (Titus 2:14). Jesus, then, let His light shine before others daily by doing good works, and He glorified the Father in heaven by doing so (Matt. 5:16). He instructed all who would follow Him to do the same daily by continually living a life of practicing righteousness (Matt. 6:1). This is the Lord’s true gospel that was once delivered to the saints (Jude 3). In the Way of righteousness there is life, and in that path there is no death (Prov. 12:28). The righteous are not only protected but also blessed (Psalm 5:12; 34:17-19). God is their strength in times of trouble (Psalm 37:3-5). Righteousness, then, delivers you from death (Prov. 11:4-15). God tells you plainly in Zephaniah 2:3 to seek Him by doing good daily to please Him. Seek or learn God’s righteousness—seek or learn to live humbly before God. Why? Perhaps you will be hidden in the day of the Lord’s anger that is coming shortly (Luke 21:36 King James Version). You cannot prepare when it gets here, so now is the time to make all your ways pleasing in God’s sight and purify your life before Him daily, by being zealous for good deeds in all that you do (Col. 1:10; 3:17). Isn’t this what He would have you do? Remember always, your only protection from God’s wrath is your righteousness, so never become lukewarm or weary in doing good (Rev. 3:15; 2 Thess. 3:13; Gal. 6:9; 1 Tim. 2:10; 2 Tim. 2:12). Then you will have the seal of God on your forehead (Rev. 9:4; 7:3). PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International
- Good News About the Kingdom | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Good News About the Kingdom Jesus Christ is coming soon as King of kings to rule all the nations with a rod of iron. He has promised co-rulership with Him to those of us who overcome (Rev. 2:26-27). Some of us will be kings and some priests and we will reign on this earth (Rev. 5:10). The good news is that we can enter that kingdom and become a part of it now. This comes about when God puts a new heart in us that will want to obey Him, as He promised He would. The good news is that Christ’s Way of life is very easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30). You see, it has to be simple because God is calling the sinners and not the righteous. He is calling the prostitutes and thieves, the lowly and simple, the foolish and base things of the world. Surprise! He is going to make world leaders out of these people to shame the wise (1 Cor. 1:26-29). How do we enter this kingdom and receive a new heart? We must practice righteous works - Jesus Christ’s works. It would be impossible to overcome our evil natures by keeping our old works of the flesh (Rev. 2:26; John 14:12). When everything we do in good works and good words is done in His name and not for self, then we are doing Christ’s works (Col. 3:17). If we are doing our works for Jesus Christ to glorify the Father, then they are not our own works, but Christ’s. We are keeping Christ’s sayings. Whatever He says to do, we do. We live to please the Father daily by glorifying Him the way He wants to be glorified - with good works (Matt. 5:16)! As soon as Satan’s nature is crushed inside you and put under your control, you have overcome the evil one (Rom. 16:20; 1 John 2:13-14). When your righteousness comes from the heart and you no longer have to force yourself to do God’s Will, you become a happy slave of righteousness (Eph. 6:6; Luke 16:16; Rom. 6:18). Do not delay. Start today, so Satan does not take away your desire to become a new creature (Gal. 6:15). wholewheatonline.com Search We Must All Fulfill Scripture All true disciples of Jesus Christ are called upon by God to fulfill the Scriptures that pertain to righteousness (Matt. 5:16; Col. 3:17). True disciples of Jesus Christ are performers of God’s word. They act on it, keep it and do it until, as happy slaves of Jesus Christ, they are doing God’s Will from the heart (Eph. 6:6). They know God’s Will is anything they do that is pleasing to Him (1 John 3:22). They know studying the Bible is pleasing to God because it allows God to speak to them through His handbook of life. Jesus Christ never says, "I command you to give a luncheon for the poor and the needy." But He does say, "When you give a luncheon, invite the poor and the needy and those who do not have the means to pay you back, and great will be your reward at the resurrection of the righteous" (Luke 14:13-14). True disciples feel duty-bound to serve their Lord by serving others. Like Jesus Christ, their example, they feel they must be doing their Father’s business daily, which is doing good (Acts 10:38; John 4:34; 10:37-38). They live to do only good. True disciples are often persecuted for the sake of righteousness but they still continue to practice righteousness, even when it means suffering for it (Matt. 5:10). Abuse them, use them, do them harm, and they will continue to practice righteousness. Why? They are learning obedience to God by the things they suffer (Heb. 5:8-9). They know they will only have to suffer a little in comparison to the joy coming in the future (1 Peter 5:10). They love and serve the unlovable. They do good to their enemies. They turn the other cheek. You might be able to wear them down, but you cannot keep them down. That is because they do not operate on their own strength, but with the strength God gives them (1 Peter 4:11). They suffer for righteousness, as Jesus Christ suffered for righteousness, in order that they may be glorified with Him (Rom. 8:17; 1 Peter 4:1). The truth is, everyone lives to fulfill Scripture. There are Scriptures for the wicked as well as for the righteous. Even those who turn away will be written down by the Lord (Jer. 17:13). Just as the wicked are rewarded with evil by God for the wrong they have done, how much more are the righteous rewarded with blessings for their good deeds (Prov. 11:31). If it is with difficulty that those who practice righteousness are saved, what will become of those who refuse to put their natures to death and overcome evil by doing good (Psalm 34:14; 37:1-2, 27; 1 Peter 3:10-11; 4:18; Rom. 12:21; Rev. 2:26)? Let us be sheep so we will not receive the reward of the goats and so we can experience the peace that surpasses all human comprehension (Matt. 25:33-46; Phil. 4:7). - How Do We Walk in the Spirit? | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search How Do We Walk in the Spirit? It is common for people to be confused by the expression, "Walk in the Spirit." Let us analyze what it means to walk in the Spirit. The Bible says that if we live to the flesh, we will die (Rom. 8:13). Living to the flesh is practicing the evil deeds of the flesh (Gal. 5:19-21; Matt. 15:19; Rev. 21:8). When we are baptized, we agree not to live in the flesh or live for self any longer, but to repent and start living for God by living to the Spirit. God is that Spirit, and He wants to be worshiped in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). If we perform only God’s Will in our daily walk with God, we will not carry out the desires of the flesh (Gal. 5:16). If we carry out the desires of the flesh, that is sin (1 Peter 4:1-2). But if we keep God’s Will, we overcome evil by doing good works (Rom. 12:21). If we are zealous for good works, we leave no room for our old selfish will to operate (1 Peter 3:13). Thus, we are putting to death the sinful deeds of the body by living to the Spirit, which is living for God (Rom. 8:13). God wants us to consider ourselves as dead to sin but alive to righteousness, by presenting our bodies as slaves to righteousness daily (Rom. 6:11; 1 John 3:7). We prove whose side we are on when we live as slaves to Jesus Christ (1 John 3:10). We continue doing this until we pass the hypocritical stage of the Pharisees and begin doing the Will of God gladly from the heart (Matt. 5:20; Eph. 6:6). God is glorified by good works (Matt. 5:16). We are admonished to be sure to engage in good works and to learn righteousness because this is how we walk in the Spirit (Titus 3:8, 14). Salvation is a free gift that cannot be earned, but it only goes to those who are repentant and live to serve others for the glory of God. Remember always, you were saved to serve. - How to Be a Good Person | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search How to Be a Good Person Our Father in heaven wants us to be good sons and daughters for Him. He wants us to respect Him. He wants us to love Him wholeheartedly (Deut. 6:5). He wants us to stop swearing, so we will not bring curses upon ourselves. He wants us to stop dwelling on what is evil, because those evil thoughts will eventually become evil actions. He wants us to practice moderation in all things, because He does not want us to hurt ourselves. He wants us to do good things that help us, instead of bad things that can harm us (Deut. 6:18, 24). He wants us to stay out of trouble, by engaging in good and productive things (Titus 3:14). What better way could there be, to do good things, than to help those who are in need? By helping the blind, the lame, the sick and the elderly, we learn to care for others in need (Luke 14:13-14; 10:37). We learn to be sensitive to the needs of others. We learn compassion, forgiveness, patience, kindness, goodness, joy, faithfulness, gentleness, and most of all, how to love our neighbor. These are the fruits of the Spirit, which come from serving others in a godly way every day (Gal. 5:22-24). Remember, the greatest in the kingdom will be the servant of the most (Matt. 25:33-40; 23:11; Mark 9:35; 10:43-44)! - God's Royal Insurance Policy | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search God's Royal Insurance Policy Being a servant of God has so many benefits that it truly is a royal insurance policy. God’s royal insurance policy protects you from famine, disease and war (Psalm 33:19; 91:3, 5-7; 103:3; Prov. 10:3). It will lead you out of all your troubles (Job 5:20-27; Prov. 11:8; 12:13, 21). All things in life turn out for good for those who are the policyholders (Rom. 8:28). If someone came to your door and offered such a policy, and you had faith in the company, it would be the easiest policy in the world to sell (Acts 2:40). This policy gives you wisdom just for the asking, spiritual power just for the asking, and answered prayer, when in accordance with the Will of the policy (James 1:5; 1 John 3:22; John 9:31; 15:7, 16; 16:24; Matt. 21:22). It guarantees you abundance, joy, peace and love, as Abraham had (John 10:10; 17:13; Gen. 24:1; 25:8). It guarantees you obedient children who do not go astray when they are older (Prov. 22:6) when you follow the royal advice of Proverbs 29:15 and 17. It even guarantees you power to get wealth the right way—God’s Way (Prov. 10:22; 13:21). God wants you to partake in this royal insurance policy, but you must remain faithful to the premium by living Christ’s Way of life. Jesus Christ qualified you to be a policyholder regardless of your present condition, but you must not stay in your present condition. You must die to self and deny your old way of life daily (1 Cor. 15:31; Luke 9:23). Instead, you must live Christ’s new Way of life (Heb. 10:20; Matt. 21:32). This is done by practicing righteousness, good deeds and good works to please and glorify the Father (1 John 2:29; Gal. 6:9; John 10:25, 32, 37-38; 14:12; Matt. 5:16). You must do all that you do and say in Christ’s name as a happy slave of Christ (Col. 3:17; Eph. 6:6; Rom. 6:18-19). Overcome your nature by doing good, being zealous, persevering in good works and keeping Christ’s deeds, which are all righteous—God’s righteousness (1 Peter 3:13; Rom. 12:21; 2:7; 10:3; Luke 21:19; Rev. 2:26; Prov. 19:17). You must strive until God creates in you a new nature, establishes you, and puts your nature under your heel (Luke 13:24; Prov. 22:9; 1 Peter 5:10; Heb. 10:36; Rom. 16:20). Jesus Christ’s Way is easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30). Children would have no problem with it (Matt. 19:14; 18:4). But once you start, don’t look back; just keep going straight forward into the good life, which is the godly life that God has been waiting for many to live (Luke 17:31; 1 Tim. 4:7; Eph. 5:1; 1 Cor. 11:1; Titus 1:1). - Does God Use Evil Spirits? | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search Does God Use Evil Spirits? Does God sometimes use Satan to do His Will? Yes, says the word of God in Job 1:12 and 2:6. God in heaven uses evil spirits or deceiving spirits to do His Will also (2 Chron. 18:20-22). The Lord can mix a spirit of distortion in people (Is. 19:14). The misled and the one who misleads belong to Him (Job 12:16). He makes fools of judges (Job 12:17). He takes away judgment or discernment from the leaders of a land (Job 12:20). God makes great nations, then destroys them when they sin (Job 12:23). He actually takes intelligence away from people (Job 12:24). I make peace and I create evil. I do all these things, says the Lord (Isaiah 45:7). In Judges 9:23, God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem. An evil spirit from the Lord terrorized Saul (1 Sam 16:14-15, 23; 18:10). First Kings 22:21-23 reveals a spirit was talking to the Lord about deceiving someone. God has meetings from time to time with the sons of God, which in this case are angels (Job 1:6; 2:1). Many excuse these examples because they are in the Old Testament. But God used Satan and evil spirits in the New Testament also. Turn to Acts 12:23. Here an angel of the Lord struck King Herod and the king was eaten by worms. Satan demanded permission from God to sift the apostle Peter like wheat, just like he did Job in the Old Testament (Luke 22:31). Evil spirits were pounding on people in Acts 19:16. The apostle Paul was continually being thwarted by Satan (1 Thess. 2:18). Some Christians were being turned over to Satan for the destruction of their flesh (1 Cor. 5:5). Today the devil is still scheming to get at disciples of Jesus Christ (Eph. 6:11). Satan will cast some into prison in the last days, and God says if they will be faithful for ten days, they will receive eternal life after they die (Rev. 2:10). Many end-time believers will be killed by Satan (Rev. 6:11; 9:15; 20:4). Yes, God is using Satan and evil spirits in His overall plan of salvation until Christ returns. Then Satan will be put in chains for 1,000 years until he is needed again for a short time (Rev. 20:7-8)! Now you can believe God uses evil spirits because you read it with your own eyes, in your own Bible. - "Once saved, always saved." | WHOLE WHEAT
"Once saved, always saved." MISCONCEPTION: Once saved always saved. THE TRUTH IS: The teaching - you cannot lose your salvation once you receive it - clashes with the Scriptures: “Work out your salvation with fear and trembling,” and “Let him who thinks he stands, beware lest he fall” (Phil. 2:12; 1 Cor. 10:12). This false teaching comes from corrupting what is being said in 1 Corinthians 3:11-15. Yet, verse 17 states, “If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him” (Matt. 10:28). Jesus also mentions that overcoming is necessary to not have your name erased from the book of life and also to not be hurt by the second death (Rev. 3:5; 2:11). In order to be saved, God's word says you must overcome by keeping Jesus’ works until the end (Rev. 2:26; Matt. 10:22; 24:13; Mark 13:13; 2 Tim. 2:12). Some will be thrown into prison to be tested by God. They are told if they are faithful unto death, they will be given a crown of life, which is eternal life (Rev. 2:10). Others are warned by God to repent and do the deeds (good deeds) they did before, if they expect to be saved (Rev. 2:5). Even Paul did not believe he was qualified for the resurrection of the dead (Phil. 3:11- 12). A person can come short of being saved, and that is why we should fear (Heb. 4:1). Only the one who endures to the end keeping Jesus Christ’s words, works and deeds, and does God’s Will on this earth daily, will be saved (Matt. 10:22; 24:13; 2 Tim. 2:12; Mark 13:13). - The Positive Gospel | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search The Positive Gospel The word of God contains instructions concerning things true disciples of Jesus Christ are to do. If we do these things, God promises to pour out blessings on us until they overflow (Mal. 3:10). What are some of the things we are instructed to do? We are commanded by Jesus Christ and God the Father to: 1) Consider our old self dead (Rom. 6:4,11). 2) Cast all our anxieties on Christ. That means our cares, worries, doubts and troubles (1 Peter 5:7-9; Matt 11:28-29). 3) Seek peace and pursue it constantly (1 Peter 3:11). 4) Think on things that are beautiful and lovely (Phil. 4:8). 5) Keep our eyes from seeing violence (Psalm 11:5). 6) Say only what is uplifting, building up one another and never tearing down (1 Peter 4:11). 7) No longer use our mouths for both good and evil, but only for good, as we strive to do only God's Will in our daily lives (Psalm 34:13-14; Col. 3:17; Luke 13:24). 8) Commit our jobs to the Lord and work for our employers as if we were working for the Lord (Eph. 6:5-9). We are to do this even more so if our employers are mean or rude, as it pleases the Lord when we suffer for the sake of righteousness. We have been called for such suffering because it builds godly character (1 Peter 2:18-19; 3:16). 9) Think God's thoughts and stop thinking our own thoughts (Is. 55:8; Prov. 12:5). 10) Speak God's words, not our own words (1 Peter 4:11). 11) Live only to the Spirit and thus put to death the deeds of the flesh. We are not to live our lives for self any longer (Rom. 15:3). Instead, we are to imitate God's Way of life in our mortal bodies (Eph. 5:1). This is to prepare us for the glorified body we are destined to receive at the coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (Rom. 8:13; Gal. 5:16, 19-25; 6:7-9). Jesus Christ came here to show those who would repent how to turn from their wicked ways so that He could bless them (Acts 3:26). All it involves is practicing to be a servant of others daily, until we come out of a life of selfishness and inwardness. This is the positive gospel that Jesus Christ came to show us (Matt. 20:26-28; 23:11; Mark 9:35; 10:43-45; Rom. 15:2-3; 1 Cor. 10:24). If we live by these principles, our lives will be positively blessed, joyful and complete! - How to Get out of a Mess | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search How to Get out of a Mess A mess is generally made up of many parts. The first thing to do is realize that you are part of it and whatever part you are, makes little difference. Messes are the result of sins, and the good life is the result of righteousness. If you want a mess, continue to sin. If you want the good life, then start being good by doing good (Rom. 12:21; 1 Peter 3:10-11). It is the only way to solve your problems. Now, if you do good for anyone, except God, you will get puffed-up and think you are a pretty nice person and that again is sin. God says your righteousness, if not done to please God, is as a flithy rag or as the original Hebrew text says, dirty menstrual cloth (Is. 64:6). Since Jesus Christ said He was not good, and yet all He did was good, it would be blasphemy for us to think of ourselves as good, except through Jesus Christ (Luke 18:19; 24:19; Acts 10:38; John 21:25). Paul understood this, because he said, "I am convinced that there is no good thing in me" (Rom. 7:18; 8:1). Now, there are some other directions to follow. You have got to care to get there, and you must start to finish. You must keep your eye upon the goal. You must persevere to win your soul (Luke 21:19). The more good you do, the better you will feel. The better you feel, the more good you will do. It is an endless glory race, that makes you wear a happy face. Jesus said it is easy, pleasant and rewarding (Matt. 11:30; 6:33). Jesus Christ wants you to come to Him (Matt. 11:28-29; 2 Tim. 2:7). This is why He came. Will you study His word daily so He can teach you? Will you live to please God every day, in all that you think, do and say? If you do, He will please you and bless all you do, and answer your prayers when you pray. God can help you get out of the mess you are in, if you will obey Him and live for Him daily. - God’s Message to Mankind | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search God’s Message to Mankind First of all, God created mankind on this earth to seek Him, find Him and obey Him. He did this so mankind could live a peaceful long life—full of abundance and every good thing. All the Lord God wants man to do is to do what is right (do well) to please Him, so man would feel good about himself (Gen. 4:7). God has given us examples in His word of those who obeyed Him and were blessed and those who disobeyed Him and were cursed. God used certain men called prophets to write what He told them to write, as well as speak what He commanded them to speak. It was the same message over and over again to mankind—practice righteousness and practice justice toward your fellow man, and thus do your neighbor no harm but only good. Is this too much for God to ask of us, considering eternal life is also connected to this beautiful Way of righteousness (Matt. 21:32; 2 Peter 2:21; Prov. 12:28)? This information was to be conveyed to mankind so God could determine who would obey Him. God wanted to know, and thus distinguish between the righteous and the wicked, the sheep and the goats, the wheat and the tares (Mal. 3:18; Matt. 25:33, 41, 46). The Lord wanted mankind to learn righteousness by practicing righteousness one to the other daily (Is. 1:16-17; Titus 3:14). Practice being a good person toward others daily by showing kindness, goodness, gentleness, charity, compassion and patience (Gal. 5:22-23). This is how a person imitates God daily, walks with God daily and keeps God’s Ways daily (Eph. 5:1). God’s Ways are all righteous (Psalm 145:17). He wants us to make all our ways righteous too. This is how one does God’s Will daily on earth as it is being done by God in heaven (Matt. 6:10). Jesus came to show us “the Way” we should live daily to please the Father and thus, be a friend of God like Abraham was (James 2:22-23). Abraham perfected his faith by doing good works. Everything Jesus saw the Father do, He did faithfully to be our living example of the right way to live (John 5:19). Everything that Jesus heard the Father say, He conveyed to us without adding to it or deleting from it—Jesus knew all of mankind would be judged by His words in the last day (John 12:48-50). He also knew these were the exact directions—not only to eternal life, but also for how man could get rid of his wicked ways and overcome them so God could bless him (Acts 3:26). God wants us to be good children and obey our Father by continually doing good towards others like Jesus Christ our example (Acts 10:38). Dorcas was also a good example (Acts 9:36). This message of righteousness is one of the world’s greatest mysteries, because this is how God wants you to repent daily (1 Tim. 3:16). You repent daily by keeping Jesus’ words. If you do this, you will receive eternal life and never see death, says Jesus Himself in John 8:51. Then keeping Jesus’ words and putting them into daily practice in our lives is how we do God’s Will on earth as it is being done in heaven (Matt. 6:10). This is required of those who desire to enter the kingdom of God, and as a result of practicing righteousness, “live forever” (Matt. 7:21; 1 John 2:17). This is not known by many or lived by many who say they know the Lord today (Luke 6:46). Jesus was zealous for good deeds towards others. If you do not learn to imitate Him by keeping His words and by being zealous for good deeds towards others too, then you deny Him in your daily life (Titus 1:16). We were created for good works, just as we were created to fulfill Scripture, but we must be careful to fulfill the Scriptures of the righteous by keeping Jesus’ words and putting them into action in our daily walk with Him (Eph. 2:10). This is most definitely the good life and God’s true message to mankind! - How to Do God’s Will With Your Body | WHOLE WHEAT
wholewheatonline.com Search How to Do God’s Will With Your Body As a disciple of Jesus Christ, you are to regard your body as the temple, or place where God lives (John 14:23; 1 Cor. 3:16; 6:19-20). One way you can serve God with your body is to take good care of it. Put good things into your body, which will keep the building strong. Exercise to continually maintain the temple. Keep your breath smelling sweet and dress God’s temple in clothes of quality and good taste. Keep your hair looking nice and trimmed (1 Cor. 11:14). You are in training to be a king and a priest, so it is necessary that you live a quality life, to the degree that you can, and as God has blessed you (Rev. 1:6; 5:10). Never forget, you are God’s showpiece on this earth. Let your good taste, your good actions and your good words be a 10,000-watt light on this earth (Matt. 5:16; Luke 12:35; Phil. 2:15). Set your goal high. This way, if you do not reach it, you will have reached a higher plateau than if you had set your goal low, or worse yet, set none at all. Live just as God lives. God is continually doing acts of kindness and charity to those in need (Acts 9:36). God is kind, loving, generous and giving (Gal. 5:22). He loves His enemies. He does good to those who hate Him. God cares about the widows, orphans, fatherless, sick, lame, blind, old and feeble (James 1:27; Luke 14:13; Psalm 138:6; Prov. 19:17). In order to please God, we must be careful to engage in good deeds or works (Titus 3:8). This is something we must learn to do and not get weary in doing (Titus 3:14; 2 Thess. 3:13). God is glorified by good works and we are to glorify Him in everything we do, whether at home or for our employer (Col. 1:10; 3:17). We are to commit all our ways to God, not just some. Ask yourself these questions: What am I doing daily with my eyes, ears, mind, mouth or body which does not please God and is not glorifying His name? What am I continuing to do that could be a stumbling stone to someone watching me? God says He will pay you back for all the good you do in the name of Christ for His glory (Eph. 6:8). His blessings are distributed daily. Is your life a blessed one? What must you do to order your ways aright so God can begin to bless you (Psalm 50:22-23)? Are you a continual doer of God’s words or a continual forgetful hearer (James 1:22)? Are you keeping Christ’s words, which is doing God’s Will (John 12:47-48; 1 John 2:17)? If not, are you ever going to start? If you start, are you going to endure until Christ’s new nature is formed in you (Gal. 4:19; 6:15; 2 Cor. 13:9, 11)? Remember, quitters never win but winners never quit. When you put your hand to the plow, do not look back at a life of swearing, getting drunk, living an immoral life and continuing to crave those things that are not good. Instead, crave those things that are good and show God your allegiance is to Him and not Satan.
