  • Pure and Undefiled Religion | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Pure and Undefiled Religion When we analyze James 1:27, we find out what God expects of us. "This is pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father, to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unspotted by the world." Whatever this "pure religion" is, it has to do with helping widows and orphans who are in need. This goes along with 1 John 3:17-18 and James 2:15-17. It also goes along with what John the Baptist told the people to do for repentance (Luke 3:10-11). Even Christ was teaching the message of compassion toward those in need in Luke 10:33-36. He taught us to put the welfare of others first and to be servants of the most (1 Cor. 10:24; Matt. 23:11; 20:26-28; Mark 9:35; 10:43-45). Jesus said true disciples - the sheep - serve others in need, while false Christians do nothing (Matt. 25:33-46; Titus 1:16). These false Christians are considered goats or dogs, while true disciples worship in the Spirit of God, give the glory to Jesus Christ and put no confidence in the flesh (Phil. 3:2-3). True disciples glorify God by doing good works daily, allowing their lights to shine before men in such a way that they bring glory to the Father (Matt. 5:16). Continually doing good for God's glory is our spiritual service of worship (Rom. 12:1). We worship God by presenting our bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, using the members of our bodies as instruments of righteousness only (Rom. 6:13). In this way, we become happy slaves of righteousness (Rom. 6:18-19; Eph. 6:6). God is well-pleased with this kind of sacrifice (Heb. 13:16). Doing good is also how we put to death the evil deeds of the body and live to the Spirit, which is God (Rom. 8:13-14). When we walk in the Spirit by serving others for God, we will not carry out the desires of the flesh (Gal. 5:16). Instead, we will be overcoming evil by doing good for God in Christ's name (Rom. 12:21; 1 Peter 3:11; Col. 3:17). We will be keeping Christ's works and overcoming Satan by allowing the God of peace to crush him in our nature (Rom. 16:20; Rev. 2:26). This is pure and undefiled religion, and this is how we keep ourselves unspotted by the world. This simple, pure devotion to Christ is simply walking as Jesus walked; and it is so easy and pleasant (2 Cor. 11:3; 1 John 2:6; Matt. 11:30)! You have no excuse for your sins now that you know how to overcome them (John 15:22). When Jesus Christ returns to this earth shortly, will you be among those who are found overcoming evil by doing good in a dark world (Phil. 2:15; Luke 18:8)? Will you be prepared to meet the Lord (Luke 1:17)? PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME All About the Bible PDF © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • A Faith That Works | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search A Faith That Works Doctors practice their profession daily to become successful doctors. Baseball players practice their profession daily to become successful baseball players. Many times we see people jogging along the side of the road disciplining themselves for sports or for good health (1 Cor. 9:24-25). How many people discipline themselves for the purpose of godliness (1 Tim. 4:7; 6:3; Titus 1:1)? How many people try to learn what is pleasing to the Lord (Eph. 5:10)? How many force their bodies to behave (1 Cor. 9:26-27)? How many are imitating Jesus Christ daily (1 Cor. 11:1)? How many Christians are practicing their profession daily? Did Jesus Christ have a working faith or a faith with no works (James 2:14, 17-18, 22, 24, 26)? Did His faith work for Him and was He able to overcome the world because of it (John 16:33; Rev. 3:21)? Yes, Jesus had a faith with good works, and not just a few (John 14:12; 21:25; Luke 24:19). He practiced what He preached. He overcame the pulls of the flesh so He could be an example to the world of how it was done (Heb. 2:17-18; 4:15; 5:8-9; 1 Cor. 10:13; James 1:13-14). If Jesus had been married and had children, you had better believe His wife would have been in loving subjection and His children would have been well behaved. His message would not be believable if this were not so (1 Tim. 3:4). How could He teach others about God, if He failed to teach His own family? Yes, Jesus’ gospel worked for those who believed it and put it into practice because it had good works! • The Keys to the Kingdom | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search The Keys to the Kingdom Jesus gave the keys of the kingdom — the knowledge of how to enter the kingdom of God — to the Apostle Peter (Matt. 16:19). He said this particular kingdom was not coming with signs to be observed. That kingdom, with signs, is coming in the future. But the kingdom Christ was talking about was “at hand,” right now. It was within a person, or “within you” (Matt. 3:2; 4:17; 10:7; Luke 17:21). The Pharisees also had the key of knowledge and Jesus scolded them for not entering that kingdom within and for causing others who were trying to enter to stumble (Luke 11:52; Matt. 23:13). These Pharisees were not forcing their way into the kingdom and seizing it for themselves by being servants to others (Luke 16:16; Matt. 23:11). You must read the true translation of Matthew 11:12, which is in the margin. It says, “The kingdom of God is forcibly entered and you must seize it for yourself!” This is proof that there is not only a kingdom of God that must be entered within, but that you must force your way into that kingdom by doing good daily for God in order to seize it for yourself. Our righteousness must come from our heart and surpass the hypocritical stage of the Pharisees or we won’t enter the kingdom of heaven (Matt. 5:20). This kingdom is entered by doing God’s Will, which is practicing works of righteousness daily on earth, just as works of righteousness are daily being done in heaven by God (Matt. 7:21; 6:10). These are works of helping those in need and doing acts of kindness and charity continually for God’s glory (Acts 9:36). We must have righteousness to enter this kingdom. Righteousness done for God is holiness when it comes from your heart daily (Eph. 6:6; Col. 1:10; Heb. 12:14 King James Version). Matthew 6:1 says that we must practice this righteousness, not to be seen of men like the Pharisees, but as happy slaves of God, doing His Will from the heart. What is this righteousness, then, that we practice daily to please God? “Good works,” say Matthew 5:16 and Romans 2:6-7. We were created in Christ Jesus for good works (Eph. 2:10). All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for training in righteousness and for equipping us for every good work (2 Tim. 3:16-17; Matt. 25:33-40; Luke 3:11; James 2:14, 17; 1 John 3:17-19). Jesus is waiting for many to glorify the Father with good works so the Father can form and reveal His Son in them. Are you keeping God’s Ways of righteousness (Gal. 1:15-16; 4:19)? When Jesus Christ returns, will you be one of the peculiar persons He has made for Himself, and to whom He has given the keys of the kingdom — the truth of how to live the repentant life? Will you be one who is zealous for good works (Titus 2:14)? Remember, Jesus Christ himself said those who have good works are resurrected to eternal life (John 5:29)! • What is the Bible? | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search What is the Bible? To best understand what the Bible is, let’s first consider what the Bible is not. The Bible is not an ancient collection of myths or stories or something to put on your coffee table with pressed flowers or a four-leaf clover in it. The Bible is not a book to be ignored, because we will all be judged by the words that are in it (John 12:47-50). The Bible is, however, a spiritual book of writings by men who were moved by the Spirit of God (2 Peter 1:20-21). The Bible is the living word of God. We are to live by every word of the Bible (Matt. 4:4). It is a book telling us how to obtain eternal life. It contains the answers to all the mysteries of life. The Bible contains the directions on how to enter the kingdom of God, be converted on the inside, and thus, have the peace that surpasses all human comprehension (Matt. 5:20; 7:21; Phil. 4:7). The Bible tells of all the blessings we will receive for obeying it and all the curses we will receive for ignoring it. The Bible tells us who we are and how to overcome our evil natures. The Bible tells us how we can please God, and what God will do for us when we please Him. If we ignore God’s word by not studying it daily, we are ignoring God (Acts 17:11). God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, in the weakness of the flesh to show us how easy it is to please the Father and to be rewarded with the free gift of eternal life (Phil. 2:7). Jesus was the living word of God, which means He lived by the words of God. We are to live by every word of God so we can be living words of God also. The Bible tells us not to be foolish, but to understand what God wants us to do, and then do it (Eph. 5:17)! Jesus said His Way is very easy and pleasant, and some of us will do greater works than He did (Matt. 11:30; John 14:12). The Bible says we are foolish if we think works are not necessary for repentance (James 2:20; Acts 26:20). We must study God’s word to show that we love God (2 Tim. 2:15, King James Version). We need to engage in acts of righteousness for repentance (Titus 2:7; 3:8). Remember, if the righteous are saved with difficulty, what will happen to the person who continues to live to the flesh and not to the Spirit (God) (1 Peter 4:18; Rom. 8:13)? Only those who seek God by pleasing Him will find Him. Start today, and you will be on your way. Be a godly example to others for God; be ready at all times to explain the truth to them in love by knowing the Scriptures well (1 Peter 3:15). This is what the Bible truly is for; to learn God’s Will, apply it in our daily lives, and then share it with others. • We are the Church | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search We are the Church Today, religions by the thousands claim they are imitating the New Testament church of the Bible. But are they? How could they be? They are all different, aren’t they? Where is the church that Jesus Christ said the gates of hell would not prevail against? Where is the church to which the Apostle Peter was given the keys, and that Jesus Himself heads (Eph. 5:23; Col. 1:18)? Jesus told the Samaritan woman we were not going to be required to worship God in a certain location and that temple-type worship or building-type worship was coming to an end (John 4:21). Jesus said His true disciples would, instead, worship the Father in spirit and in truth (John 4:23). God is spirit and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth (John 4:24). What does this mean? If we all knew, we would be of one mind, one faith and one baptism. In Philippians 3:3 it says, “We are the true circumcision (true disciples of Jesus Christ) who worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh.” Still confused? Turn to Romans 12:1 where it says our bodies are our spiritual service of worship. We are to transform and renew our minds by performing God’s Will on earth daily as it is done in heaven (Rom. 12:2). We are to worship God by doing good and sharing (Heb. 13:16, 21). We are to persevere in doing good, using our bodies as instruments of righteousness (Rom. 2:7; 6:13, 18-19). If we, by the Spirit, are putting to death the evil deeds of the flesh, overcoming our evil natures by doing good, and resisting evil by not getting weary in doing good for others, we are allowing God to crush Satan under our heel (Rom. 16:20; 8:13; 12:21; 1 Peter 3:11, 13; Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13). We must be careful to engage in good works, glorifying God in Christ’s name (Titus 3:8; Matt. 5:16; Col. 3:17). We must overcome our evil nature by keeping Jesus Christ’s works. When we do these things we are worshiping God in spirit and in truth, the Way He now requires us to worship Him. We are the church. We can worship Him anywhere we find ourselves. However, if we are worthless for good works, we are worshiping God in vain and by our deeds we deny Him (Titus 1:16; Mark 7:7). Let’s do more than profess we know Him – let’s show Him! • Who Do You Really Worship? | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Who Do You Really Worship? Many people don’t realize the fact that ignoring God daily is worshipping Satan. Living for self is worshipping Satan. The love of money and selfish ambition is the source of every evil thing and is worshipping Satan (1 Tim. 6:10-11). Being religiously deceived is worshipping Satan. Being deceived by anything or anyone of the world is falling prey to Satan’s schemes, and therefore worshipping Him. If anything of this world takes precedence in your life, over what you know to be true according to God, it has become an idol in your life and you are worshipping the world, who’s ruler is Satan (2 Cor. 4:4). If one’s emotions are too strongly set on something, that is wrong and it has become an idol. Idolatry is defined as excessive love, adoration or devotion to anything such as food, drink, clothing, cars, boats, homes or pleasure. These things are idolatry (Col. 3:5; Ezek. 14:7). Love for money makes money one’s idol. It is wrong to idolize anyone whether it be fame, politics or otherwise. When we do this, we put what we idolize before God (Matt. 4:10; Isa. 2:22). We are to seek the truth and the truth will set us free (John 8:32). The Bible says God’s word is truth, and we are expected to study it, obey it and practice the truth to come to the knowledge of the light—real truth (John 3:21; Deut 28:15; John 3:36, Ps. 106:3; Ezra 7:10; 2 Tim 2:15 KJV). The true worship of God involves walking in the Law by keeping it in the Spirit (Rom. 12:21; 8:13; John 4:24). The true worshipers of God live as God lives by keeping His Ways. They imitate God and His Son daily—living holy, righteous, blameless, perfect lives as Jesus Christ, King David, Job and Noah did (Eph. 5:1; Matt. 5:48). True worship of God is not hard (1 John 5:3). In fact, it’s very easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30). But it does require obedience to a loving Creator. True worship of God through a holy Way of life is all but nonexistent today. Only the empty form of pagan rituals remains. Very few people live the “God life.” Very few experience the good life which is filled with peace, prosperity and every good thing. People have substituted a form of religion for holiness (Rom 10:2-3; Mark 7:6-9). And therefore, they practice idolatry instead of God’s pure and undefiled religion, which is simply serving those in need and staying unstained by the world (James 1:27). Who proclaims and substitutes this form of religion that is not of God today? False ministers. They appear as nice guys on the outside, but inside they are ravenous wolves in sheep’s clothing (Matt. 7:15). Many wear different clothing or a robe to make people think they are very religious or holy. Many thrive on notoriety and love to sit in places of honor at banquet tables (Matt. 23:1-7; Luke 20:46; Mark 12:39) How can you distinguish false ministers from God’s true servants? God’s ministers can be recognized by their fruits, and those fruits are good works (Col. 1:10). Their message should be to repent and overcome evil by engaging in good works daily for the glory of God (Rom. 12:21; Matt. 5:16). These good works are to be done in the name of Jesus (Col. 3:17). If Jesus is purifying for Himself a peculiar people who are zealous for good works, then His true ministers would themselves be examples of good works (Titus 2:7-8, 14). Halley’s Bible Handbook says on page 643; “One of the indictments of false teachers was that they were “unto every good work reprobates” which means they express their disapproval of good works and are not of God’s elect, when looking up the word reprobate. It then references Titus 1:16; “They profess to know God but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good deed.” False ministers then, would be enemies of good works for God, preaching over and over that works are not necessary for salvation (Acts 13:10). Then the people, not knowing their Bibles and not caring to know their Bibles, blindly go along to the slaughter, following their blind leaders (Matt. 15:12-14). They both fall into a ditch or rut, and nobody puts on the new nature and gets rid of the old (Eph. 4:22-24). No one becomes a new creature with Christ formed in him (Gal. 4:19). No one becomes complete (2 Cor. 13:9). Jesus says the greatest in the kingdom will be the servant of the most (Matt. 23:11). People are not told to be servants of others for the glory of God; they are told, instead, to let the church do the good works. They are told, “If someone is in need, call your pastor.” He is a righteous man, so they believe. But if so, he should be duplicating himself by the hundreds. People should not be looking up to him, but to Christ, their true example of daily righteousness. How many do you know who walk like Christ, talk like Christ, do Christ’s works daily, and are overcoming their evil natures (1 John 2:6)? How many slaves of righteousness do you know (Rom. 6:19)? Do you know any slaves of Jesus Christ who are doing the Will of God—the Will being righteousness—daily on this earth, just as it is being done in heaven (Rom 12:2; Eph. 6:6)? How many put God first in their life above all else? Jesus gave us examples, but many people give Him excuses. What’s yours? • A New Creation | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search A New Creation God wants us to be new creations or new creatures (Gal. 6:15). To do this, we must die to sin and live to righteousness (Rom. 6:2). This is a daily process of dying to self by denying the evil desires of our hearts (1 Cor. 15:31; Luke 9:23). True disciples of Jesus Christ, who have received the true message of conversion, live a new life in Christ (Rom. 6:4). We are no longer to be slaves of sin but we are to consider our old lives as dead to sin and alive to God in Jesus Christ (Rom. 6:6, 11). We are to live for God daily instead of ourselves (Rom. 6:10). We are to use the members of our bodies as instruments of righteousness to God by being careful to engage in good works daily (Rom. 6:13; Titus 3:8). We are to learn to engage in good works because this is righteousness to God and He is glorified by good works done daily in His name (Is. 1:16-17; Titus 3:14; Matt. 5:16). We become happy slaves of Jesus Christ, constantly doing the Will of God - which is righteous good works - from the heart (Rom. 6:17-19; Eph. 6:6). Why are true disciples so zealous in doing good works daily? They know that they overcome their evil natures by doing good (Rom. 12:21; 2:7). They know this is how they resist evil daily (2 Tim. 2:26). They overcome Satan’s will by doing God’s Will daily on earth as it is being done in heaven (Matt. 6:10). They know their righteousness must eventually come from their hearts or they will not receive the new nature and have Christ formed in them (Gal. 4:19). They know that without righteousness, they cannot enter the kingdom within (Matt. 5:20; 6:1; 7:21; Luke 17:21). They know this is the doctrine that conforms them to godliness, and so they discipline themselves daily for the purpose of godliness by practicing righteousness for God in Jesus’ name (1 Tim. 6:3; 4:7; Titus 1:1; 1 John 3:7, 10, 18; Col. 3:17). Since this Way is so easy and pleasant, we really have no excuse to continue sinning (Matt. 11:30; John 15:22). Living God’s Way of life is how our joy is made full and how we instantly become friends of God (John 15:11, 14). This is how we have an abundant life (John 10:10). Practicing righteousness for God daily is how we seek first the kingdom of God; and then God adds all good things to us - food, clothes and all the desires of our hearts (Matt. 6:31, 33). If you have not yet started practicing righteousness for God daily, what is holding you back? Satan’s nature? Resist Satan and by doing so, show God you love Him more. Bear fruit for God and prove to be His disciple (John 15:8; Col. 1:10). Remember, God wants a new you, a new creation, which comes from living a new Way of life - the Way of righteousness (Gal. 6:9, 15; Matt. 21:32; 2 Peter 2:21). • Public Enemy #1 | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Public Enemy #1 God’s word says that it is our thoughts, our ways or deeds, our thinking and our actions that are not good. Our human nature represents our will, which is also referred to as Satan’s will. Our ways, our deeds, and our thinking is Satan’s thinking. It is his consciousness or his will that is in us (2 Tim. 2:26; John 2:25; Rom. 16:20; John 8:44; James 3:15). I am making a point: we are to no longer think the way we used to think, talk the way we used to talk or walk the way we used to walk. We are to turn around and live how God says we are to live, think the way God tells us to think, talk the way God wants us to talk and walk the way God wants us to walk. We are to no longer live by our old ways that caused us every problem we ever had, and immediately begin to live by God’s Ways only! Stop talking! Stop thinking! Start acting! Start walking! Stop making excuses and just do it! Many talk about their problems but are unable to do anything about them. Stop talking about your problems and just do something about them in secret. You are giving in to your old ways—making excuses. Fight the good fight of faith. Stop thinking why you can’t; start doing what needs to be done. Stop talking about your problems; start walking the right way. Just do it! God has His new nature waiting for you when you get rid of your old nature with the power of His Holy Spirit. We will never know the new until we get rid of the old. Stop giving in to your old ways. Start resisting your old nature by not giving it space in which to exist by continually doing good. Stop thinking to the flesh; just start thinking to the Spirit: “How can I please God?” Satan is at the door of your heart, and he is trying to get you to destroy yourself but you must master him. You must take hold of your nature and tell it what to do and not give in to Satan’s wiles and let God tell you what to do (Gen. 4:7). You have God’s Spirit—use it! You have the power of prayer—use it! You have the tool of fasting—do it! God’s Spirit is a spirit of power, a spirit of love, a spirit that is stronger than any spirit of the devil. Jesus was tempted in all things, but with the power of God’s Spirit, He never gave in to sin. Many who have God’s Spirit of power today give in to everything, like they never even received God’s Spirit of power. Stop making excuses. It’s killing some of you. You’re giving in to Satan. God never called you to continue to live an undisciplined life. Use that Spirit of victory! Control your body, control your thinking, control your mouth and control your appetite. Eat to live and don’t live to eat any longer. God gives you His Spirit of a sound mind. Use it or you’ll lose it! God is not only watching you from a distance, He is also testing you to see whether you are building godly character in your life or not. You will not enter the kingdom of God within unless you control your bodily actions from without. You must maintain the attitude of a little child and get rid of your arrogant, vanity-filled nature that’s prideful, egotistical and sensual, or you will never change! For many years I have counseled many people about their problems. The number one thing that was wrong was their thinking and their words. Stop thinking bad thoughts, stop condemning yourself to use that as an excuse for not doing something about your problems. You know the right way. Make up your mind to do it now! Thousands of people are losing weight, while thousands are making deadly excuses. Thousands are changing and getting rid of their old self with their old ways, while thousands are making excuses. Don’t talk—just walk the right way! Being a disciple of Jesus Christ is a daily discipline. The very word “disciple” comes from the word “discipline.” Strive or discipline yourself to enter by the narrow door or you won’t be able. I can’t make you change and neither can God. Yet, God is standing by to help you, should you put forth the slightest effort. Get your mind off of self and on to God and never turn back. The root of all of our problems is wanting our own way. God says, in Psalms 50:22-23, that we are to order all of our ways right (make them right) before God; this is the sacrifice of thanksgiving which honors the Lord. If you forget this you are forgetting God and He will tear you in pieces and there will be none to deliver you. What right do you have to talk about God’s Ways to others, when you hate discipline? God says that the undisciplined person is wicked (Psalm 50:16-17). There are some of God’s servants who are drinking too much. God says the drunkard will not inherit the kingdom of God, and He is coming when you least expect Him (Matt. 24:49-50; Luke 21:34; 1 Cor. 6:10). We need to know who the Bible says the wicked are. Jesus made it clear to the Pharisees. They understood what He was saying to them, and yet, they didn’t apply it; they were still in their sins (John 9:40-41). After a person hears the truth, they no longer have an excuse for their sins (John 15:22). We need to realize there are no excuses and remember that. Therefore, the one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin (James 4:17). In these last days, God is going to distinguish between the righteous and the wicked, between the one who serves God (does what God says) and the one who does not serve Him (Mal. 3:18). We know well that the goats described in the Bible will be thrown into the eternal fire, not only because they didn’t do good to those in need, but because they would not study their Bibles daily to be approved by God and apply God’s word in their lives (Matt. 25:41-46; 2 Tim. 2:15 King James Version). God’s word clearly states that serving God is done by serving others (Matt. 25:40, 45; James 2:15-26; 1 John 3:18-19). It is also receiving a love for God’s truth (His word) so as to be saved (2 Thess. 2:10-12). Sin shall not have dominion over you anymore, should you stop giving in to your old nature with its old ways and excuses (Rom. 6:14). Unless you allow the Lord to reign in your life and unless you obey Him, you will be slain by Him when He returns (Luke 19:27). God’s truth is like a hammer shattering a rock—smashing a rock—delivered by His ministers who are like flames of fire (Jer. 23:29; Heb. 1:7; Psalm 104:4). They have to be, because of the stubbornness of all of our hearts. Don’t allow yourself to be lulled to sleep by another Bible study, for unless a person applies God’s word and obeys God’s word, they will surely perish (Ezek. 33:31-33; Luke 13:3, 5; Matt. 3:10; 7:19). Jesus said that His Ways are very easy and very pleasant, and what He commanded us to do was not burdensome (Matt. 11:30; 1 John 5:3). It is the way to peace, happiness, blessings and eternal life, but you must do what you are supposed to do to receive it! God only wants the best for you and He has blessings ready and waiting for you. You must want the best for yourself to make it happen. Many are being blessed today and finding that God’s Ways work; but you must work by putting your hand to the plow by doing what is right. Let’s get rid of public enemy #1 and then we will be #1 in God’s eyes and be a good example for others. • Where is Your Heart? | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Where is Your Heart? God does not show partiality (Gal. 2:6). Those who obey Him are as the apple of His eye (Psalm 17:8). The people or nations who do not obey Him mean less than nothing to Him (Isa 40:17). In the past, God blotted out everyone in the world, but spared Noah, who was a righteous man and had a heart for God, and his family. Those blotted out would not repent and live to please their Maker. He has blotted out scores of nations from the face of this earth because they were wicked and would not repent and change. Man’s downfall through the ages is that he has not taken the Lord seriously. As a result, many have perished in the past. What God has always desired of man is that he would repent (Luke 13:3, 5). The Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities that surrounded them not only for their sins, but also for an example to mankind of what will happen to all who continue to sin (2 Peter 2:6). God is slow to anger, compassionate, gracious, and abounding in loving-kindness and truth. But many times mankind has pushed God to the limit. How do we repent and make ourselves pleasing in God’s sight? To begin with, we know that it pleases God when we study His word daily. When we study His word, we are approved of God (2 Tim. 2:15). It pleases God when we continually practice charity toward others (Acts 9:36). There are many ways to supply the needs of others—being kind, cheering up someone, giving clothing, money, shelter, or anything to someone in need (Matt. 25:33-40). We are careful to serve and include the lame, the blind, the elderly or the poor, who cannot possibly pay us back (Luke 14:13-14). We are then fulfilling Scriptures that the righteous are to fulfill. God’s word says, “Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also” (Matt. 6:21). This word treasure comes from the Greek word thesauros meaning; something very much valued or valuables. So where we put our money, our time, our vested interest – our heart is revealed also. We are placing a value on whatever we support or put ourselves into. Take a moment to think about what you put your heart in. When people donate to a church it becomes part of their heart. They support it and feel a bond, so they are behind it. What if that church is not preaching the truth from God’s word (Matt. 7:15-24; Mark 7:7-9)? What are you actually supporting then? Think of this when it comes to any other organization you may donate to or support. On the surface many things can look good. Think about if you were to vote for someone. You are putting your heart into that candidate or person – you value them highly enough to cast a ballot in your name and vote for them, whether you actually give them money or not, you are supporting them. You have given your stamp of approval and are now associated with what they stand for. You feel an obligation to support or defend what they say or believe, simply because you voted for them - because you have put your heart there (Rom. 16:18). It is a very slippery slope when you become entangled with the world (2 Pet. 2:20). Think about the ramifications of what you may find yourself entangled in. We must be careful not to become enslaved to the world, by attaching our heart to things, or people, of the world. This would surely be dividing our treasure unwisely (Matt. 12:35; Luke 6:45, 12:21; James 5:3). In Colossians 2:3, it refers to the same treasure as wisdom and knowledge (from God). Therefore, let us wisely consider, with the knowledge God has given us, what we give ourselves to or who we stand with. As Matthew 6:24 says: ‘No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon (the god of riches – Satan – ruler of this world). The Amplified Bible expounds on mammom even further: [money, possessions, fame, status, or whatever is valued more than the Lord]. God does not want us to store up treasure on earth but wants us to instead store up treasures in heaven which is our good deeds of righteousness, done for repentance, for the glory of God (Matt. 6:19-20; Acts 26:20). When we look to the Bible we see several examples of those who trusted in their treasures connected to earth and were destroyed (Job 20:26; Jer. 48:7; 49:4; 50:37). Who does God want us to support? Let’s look to the Scriptures and see. God wants you to honor Him by setting aside a portion of your weekly earnings (treasure) for Him (Prov. 3:9; Eph. 4:28). Then He wants you to learn how to do good for others with His money (1 Tim 6:17-19; 2 Cor. 9:6-11; Luke 6:38). He wants you to give money to the needy, loan money without charging interest, and He wants you to do so expecting nothing in return (Matt. 6:2-4; Luke 6:34-35, 38). He tells us to support those who teach the truth of God’s Ways in His name, so that you too may be a fellow worker for the Lord. Therefore, if you are supporting the work of God and those who do it, you have become part of that work as a fellow worker (3 John 7-8). This is another way to draw closer to God because you are putting your treasure and therefore your heart behind His work (Mal. 3:8-10). This has a way of strengthening your commitment and relationship to God (Matt 12:30; John 4:35-36; Matt. 9:36-38; Rom. 10:13-15; Matt. 22:21). These are all wise uses of the treasure God has given you (Acts 20:35; Phil. 4:15-19). God wants you to continually give so He can continually bless you and continually increase your income so you can continually increase your giving (2 Cor. 9:10; 2 Cor. 8:7-8). God does good even to ungrateful men (Luke 6:35). When it comes to using your God’s money, remember that when you give directly to the needy, 100 percent is going to the source and you are being a good steward of God’s money. This is one of the best ways you can make the most of your money set aside for God. Before you support any worthy cause, you should investigate it and know for sure that it is indeed a worthy cause. Always check on what percentage is going to that worthy cause and ask for the proof. Many ads for ‘worthy causes’ can be very deceptive, and only pennies on the dollar actually go to serve the need they are soliciting for. God wants you to learn righteousness by engaging in it daily, for He knows if you don’t, you won’t learn righteousness (Titus 3:8). God also wants us to be a good example in all respects. It is pleasing to God when we say only what is good and right, keeping our conversations pure. Whoever speaks is to do so as though they were the actual words of God (1 Peter 4:11). He hates those who swear and use profanity, and we are His enemies if we use His name for a swear word or a curse (Ex. 20:7; Psalm 139:20). He hates those whose mouths speak foolishly or coarsely, whose mouths are not courteous and kind at all times. The mouth of a fool speaks foolishness (Prov. 1:7, 3:35, 9:6, 10:8, 23, 12:23; Psalm 107:17). A foul mouth indicates a foul heart, but those who speak what is right, are a constant praise to God as well as men. Proverbs 6:16-19 tells us He also hates haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that run rapidly to evil, a false witness who declares lies, and one who spreads strife. What the Lord desires in a man is kindness—kindness in words and in deeds, deeds being first and foremost (1 John 3:18). The Lord wants righteousness and justice from us (Ezek. 33:16). He wants us to be just in all our dealings with mankind, to pay our debts on time, keep our word, owe no money to any man, as much as possible, and be at peace with all men as much as possible. He does not want you to go into debt and lose your peace of mind. He wants you to save your money and pay cash for what you buy as much as you possibly can. The world wants you to go into debt. They say you must, if you want good credit. God says you should not go into debt because it encourages coveting, lust and greed (Rom. 13:8). It will take your peace and you will be unhappy. Instead, be content with what you have. Be content at all times (1 Tim. 6:8). Make your requests known to God and He will bring them to pass (Phil. 4:6). God knows if you obey Him, you will have to depend on Him for everything. This is what He wants you to learn to do. He wants you to learn to depend on Him. Soon, God is going to punish the nations for their sins. He will accomplish this by causing nation to war with nation and kingdom with kingdom (Matt. 24:7). This will bring in great tribulation such as has not occurred from the beginning of the world, nor will it ever be that bad again (Matt. 24:21). A time of distress such as has never occurred since there was a nation will soon occur (Dan. 12:1). This will come upon the whole world as a snare when least expected. For when they say, “Peace, peace,” watch out, because here comes the war (1 Thess. 5:3-4, 9-10). At the time God chooses everyone who has been written in the Lord’s book of remembrance will be rescued. Only those who showed God respect (feared God) daily by practicing the principles outlined in God’s word will be considered for escape (Mal. 3:16-17). Only those who prayed continually that they would be considered worthy to escape all these things will be considered (Luke 21:34-36). Make no mistake about it, these Scriptures will be fulfilled just as surely as all Bible prophesies in the past were fulfilled. If you keep God’s word with perseverance now, and practice the principles you know in your heart are true, God may keep you from the hour of testing which is surely coming upon the whole world. God will soon test all the people of the world to see if they will repent by continually doing good (Rev. 3:10). When war comes, then people repent. God knows only those with an honest and good heart will build godly character (fruit) for Him now (Luke 8:15). The others will wait for the war to come. We are told to continue to practice righteousness and stay humble or teachable. Perhaps we will be hidden by the Lord in the day of His wrath against the nations and their peoples (Zeph. 2:3). There is no guarantee because we are untrustworthy, but God is trustworthy. God encourages those who begin to live for Him when He says, “Tell the righteous all will go well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their own actions” (Is. 3:10). God wants from us so little compared to what He will do for us in return for our daily obedience. Only a fool would ignore His words. Show God where your heart is, by continually honoring Him in all you think, do and say, living a life that is pleasing to Him in all respects. Then, if you endure to the end, God willing, He will declare you to be His very special treasure (Mal. 3:16-17 AMP). • Integrity | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Integrity Integrity is uncompromising adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty; the state of being whole or entire; a sound, unimpaired condition, Webster’s Dictionary says. In simpler language: Someone who has good values and knows right from wrong, lives by those values and does not give in to wrong when tempted has integrity. Integrity, then, is what good character is all about. Without integrity, a nation perishes. Without integrity, the prisons overflow. Without integrity, the laws of the land become unjust. The simple are entrapped by a word (Is. 29:21). Lawyers and judges take bribes, which they call considerations (Micah 7:3). Politicians take bribes, which they call consulting fees (Ex. 23:8; Deut. 16:19; 1 Sam. 8:3). Radio stations take payola, which is just a more respectable name for bribes (Prov. 17:8). Today, prostitutes are called escorts (Ezek. 23:19). Criminals are called unfortunate. And in witchcraft, mediums are now called channelers (Lev. 19:31; Isa.19:3; Isa. 8:19). God says, “I am the Lord, who teaches you how to live the profitable Way and who teaches you in the Way you should live” (Is. 48:17). It is God who teaches man knowledge (Psalm 94:10). Then it stands to reason, it is not good to ignore God’s word daily, is it? The amount of integrity you have determines whether you will be successful in this life or be most miserable (Prov. 10:9; Job 8:20; Ps. 15:2). Integrity, or the lack of it, determines how you feel about yourself on a daily basis. Is your self-worth high? You have integrity. Is your self-worth low? You have a lack of integrity. It’s just that simple. What if Jesus Christ had no integrity? He couldn’t be our Savior. Many do not realize that Jesus came to save you from your worst enemy—yourself. He came to bless you by showing you His easy Way so you could turn from your wicked ways and be blessed (Acts 3:26). The word “turn” means to repent, cease to live your way and begin to live God’s Way. Hence, cease to do evil; learn to do good (Is. 1:16-17; Titus 3:14). The Lord wants you to keep His Ways, called in one Scripture the “ancient paths” (Jer. 6:16). He says you will find “rest for your souls.” Compare this Scripture with what Jesus said to those who would follow Him in Matthew 11:28-30: “Come to Me, all you who are heavy laden [with sins and troubles] and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you [live My Way of life], and learn from Me. I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy [My Way of life is easy and it is not hard] and My burden is light.” The Father told Jesus His Ways. Jesus then was commanded to tell others about God’s Ways. Jesus kept God’s Ways and showed us, by His example, how we are to keep God’s Ways. Jesus was prophesied anciently to come and tell us God’s Ways so we could repent (Deut. 18:18-19). Jesus Himself fulfilled that prophecy in John 12:47-50. The prophecy in Deuteronomy is repeated in Acts 3:22-23, in its full severity. So then, if a person is going to keep God’s Ways, he must imitate the Way God lives and talks (Eph. 5:1; 1 Peter 4:11). This takes disciplining yourself for the purpose of godliness (1 Tim. 4:7; Titus 1:1). This is the true gospel of Jesus Christ (1 Tim. 6:3). Disciplining yourself for godliness not only builds godly integrity in this life and insures you success in all that you put your hand to do, but also builds the kind of godly character that will be required for living in the kingdom of God that is coming to this earth very shortly. What is desired by the Lord in a man is kindness. Kindness is thoughtfulness, being considerate and living charitably (Prov. 3:3; 19:22; Hosea 4:1; 12:6; Micah 6:8). If a person was kind in all his ways and all his deeds towards others, he would be only living to do good. This is how Jesus lived and this is how He commands us to live. God will not reject a man of integrity (Job 8:20; Psalm 7:8; 25:21; 26:1-11). Integrity is what life is all about. You are born into this world. You may have had godly parents who brought you up in the Ways of the Lord. They taught you what was wrong and what was right—according to what God’s word said (Prov. 3:12). God’s word says that correction and discipline are a way of life (Prov. 6:23). A wise son accepts his father’s discipline (Prov. 13:1). A righteous man who walks in his integrity: how blessed are his sons after him (Prov. 20:7). It is by his deeds that a young person tells the world who he really is—if his conduct is pure and right (Prov. 20:11). Your parents, if they were good parents, taught you wrong from right and disciplined you diligently, because they knew they had to do their part to help build integrity in you or you wouldn’t have any (Ps. 25:21; Ps. 26:1). You would follow the wrong example of behavior instead of being the right example of behavior for others to follow. Good things happen to good kids. Bad things happen to bad kids. The same is true for adults. Many parents have not trained their children in the way they should go, and you can see the results today (1 John 3:10). God knew many parents would be failures in the last days. So, God has designed an easy way for you to build godly character and integrity, in spite of who your parents were and in spite of what you are today. Overcome evil simply by doing good for God each day if you want to live forever (Psalm 37:27). Continually do things that are pleasing in God’s sight and your prayers will be heard (1 John 3:22). Doing good for God not only shows Him respect daily, but it is also doing God’s Will (John 9:31). It is how God is glorified (Matt. 5:16). It is how He is worshiped (Rom. 12:1-2; 6:13, 19). Brush your teeth for God. Take a bath for God. Clean your place for God. Wear nice clothes for God. Men, keep your hair trimmed (like a man’s) for God (1 Cor. 11:14; Ezek. 44:20). If you do everything you do for God, you are committing all your ways to the Lord and are pleasing in His sight (Col. 3:17). Notice things you cannot do for God because they are not pleasing to Him and will hurt you: Use God’s name as a swear word for God. Read dirty books or see dirty movies for God. Break the speed limit for God. Disobey the law for God. Do what is wrong for God. Seems ridiculous, doesn’t it? But it is exactly what many do, isn’t it? Many people live ridiculous lives, don’t they? They deserve to be cursed, don’t they? They are bringing it on themselves, aren’t they? Every time you sin or do something wrong, it’s like hitting yourself in the face. Worst of all, it’s like hitting your Creator God in the face. It’s like slapping your parents in the face. Remember always, if you do not care about God, He doesn’t care about you. If you ignore Him, He will ignore you (1 Chron. 28:9). If you live for Him, to please Him, He will live for you and please you. It’s that simple. God is not stupid; but we are, if we do not obey Him (Gal. 6:7). He created man to seek Him, find Him and obey Him. He only wants what’s good for you. He wants you to desire that for yourself. He will help you, guide you, forgive you and give you His Holy Spirit to overcome with, if you just ask Him (Luke 11:13). If you will obey Him, keep Jesus’ words or deeds and overcome so He can bless you, He will give you His Spirit (Acts 5:32). Who can stop you from doing good for God except the devil (James 4:7)? You must resist him daily by doing good for God, and in the process, build godly character and integrity that will endure forever. The next move is yours. This is why God gave you free will—so He could make a determination (Mal. 3:18; Matt. 25:41)! • Seeking God & Finding Him | Daily Grains

Seeking God & Finding Him Everywhere you go, you see people reading—on buses, in libraries, on park benches—everywhere. They may be reading newspapers, magazines, love stories, adventure stories or fiction books, yet something is tragically wrong. No one, it seems, is searching for God. No one, it seems, is searching for the truth. The very same thing was happening in the days of Noah, which was the cause of the flood. There are people reading and studying at all the learning institutions in the world, yet they are ever learning, ever reading, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. The whole purpose of life is to seek the truth and find out why you were born, and why on earth you walk on this earth. The very purpose of this life is to seek God. God’s word says, “If you seek Him, you will find Him”. For God will let you find Him, and He will reveal to you the truth of why you are here. God says the knowledge of this world is foolish, evil and demonic. It is certainly not knowledge from above. Most men have rejected God—they have rejected His word which is from above. Now is the time to put away the books of men and start studying the book of God, so your Creator can teach you, bless you, change you and make you acceptable and worthy for eternal life. Always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 2 Timothy 3:7 Now set your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God; arise, therefore, and build the sanctuary of the Lord God, so that you may bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord and the holy vessels of God into the house that is to be built for the name of the Lord.” 1 Chronicles 22:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God. For it is written, “He is the one who catches the wise in their craftiness.” 1 Corinthians 3:19 But those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage. Being Tested in Your Faith When you decided to stop living to the flesh and started to live to the Spirit by practicing righteousness to please God every day, things started happening to you that you may not understand. The Apostle Peter says not to be surprised at the fiery ordeal that comes upon you for your testing. Do not think that some strange thing is happening to you. Instead, remember that you are sharing in the sufferings of Christ. Keep on rejoicing so at the revelation of His glory, you may rejoice with great enthusiasm. Look what is happening to you! "After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you." You are being made complete in Christ. You are being made into a new creation. For if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. Romans 8:13 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you; 13 but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing, so that also at the revelation of His glory you may rejoice with exultation. 1 Peter 4:12-13 After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. 1 Peter 5:10 Finally, brethren, rejoice, be made complete, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. 2 Corinthians 13:11 For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation. • How to Commit Your Ways to the Lord | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Commit Your Ways to the Lord One should continually remind himself that Jesus Christ said His Ways are easy and very pleasant (Matt. 11:30). Jesus Christ says one must have the mind of a child to understand His true message (Matt. 11:25). A child is teachable, correctable, willing to change, and willing to admit he’s been wrong about many things (Mark 10:15). One must have this attitude to enter the kingdom of heaven (Matt. 18:3-4; 19:14). With this attitude of a child, then, let the mind be in you that is in Jesus Christ (Phil. 2:5; Eph. 5:10). Jesus always did things to please the Father (John 8:29). The words that came from His mouth were the Father’s. We are to do the same (1 Peter 4:11; Col. 3:8, 10; Eph. 4:29). Whatever is good, peaceable, respectable, admirable and uplifting, we are to think on these things (Phil. 4:8-9). We are not to have a tongue that says good things one minute and bad things the next. Instead, we are to use it for good all the time (James 3:9-10). By practicing these Scriptures in our daily walk with God, we will be committing our minds and tongues to Christ. Remember, we must be diligent and zealous, and we must persevere in order to make headway. Now the only thing left is to get the body to zealously do good for God (1 Peter 3:13). Remember, doing good is how God is glorified (Matt. 5:16). It is how He is well pleased (Heb. 13:16). Doing good for God’s glory is His Will and the Way He wishes to be spiritually worshiped (Heb. 13:21; Rom. 12:1-2). Ask yourself, "Have I ever been weary in doing good for God?" (Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13). If you have, you will know that you are in the process of committing your ways to the Lord (1 Peter 3:11; 1 Tim. 4:7). If not, then it is time to begin, because it is a great way to live. PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME All About the Bible PDF © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • Live Only to Please God | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Live Only to Please God The Bible is a life and death book that reveals who will eventually be saved and who will be destroyed in the judgment (Rev. 20:12). The Bible is the most sold book in the history of the world. It is the least read, and the least understood, book ever sold. It is a book of which more people have opinions about - people who don't even study or obey it - and yet they ridicule it and scoff at it. In spite of all this, it is the book which Jesus Christ says will judge all those who have lived in the world, to determine whether they shall be thrown into the lake of fire, or found worthy for eternal life. There are thousands of different faiths or beliefs in the world, but only those who do the Will of the Father in heaven will abide forever (1 John 2:17; Matt. 7:21). The Will represents the words of Jesus Christ (John 8:51). That is why Jesus said, “If anyone is willing to do His Will [the Will of God], he will know of the teaching [understand His teachings]” (John 7:17). We are not to be conformed to this world any longer, but rather we are to transform our lives to God by renewing our minds (Rom. 12:2). So we are not to remain foolish, but understand what the Will of the Lord is and do that Will by performing it in our lives on a daily basis (Eph. 5:17). How? By proving what the Will of the Lord is through studying God's word and finding out what is good, acceptable behavior and perfect in the sight of God, then performing only righteousness in Jesus Christ's name for the glory of the Father (Col. 3:17). We are all children of God—of our Father in heaven. Our Father wants to be shown daily respect from His children on earth. Jesus our Lord wants us to be good, by doing good and overcoming our evil natures by continually showing allegiance and respect to Him. We are to continually discipline our bodies, our minds, our thoughts and our words, until they are all taken captive to the obedience of Christ Jesus (2 Cor. 10:5). In other words, we are to discipline ourselves for the very purpose of godliness (1 Tim. 4:7). We are to practice deeds of kindness and charity continually, until Jesus Christ transforms our hearts and instills His perfect nature in us (Acts 9:36; Matt. 5:20; Eph. 6:6; Gal. 4:19). This is practicing righteousness before God, and this is true repentance before God and man. If you want to be a good athlete then you must practice diligently and persevere. You must know the rules of the game and practice them diligently. You can't really know the game unless you play the game. You must continually discipline yourself to play by the rules and not bend them. How come millions in the world today do not know the rules, live by the rules, or adhere to the rules and the precepts of Jesus Christ? Not many even seem to care. How come so many call Jesus Christ Lord, and yet they do not do what He told them to do through the Bible (Luke 6:46)? Jesus Christ laid down His life for us, that we might lay down our old lives for Him and let Him live through our bodies. He can only do this when we live the Way of life as He did, by being servants to others in love. Just like the athlete, we must practice the Will of our Father in heaven to understand the teaching (John 7:17). What is being said is certainly not hard to understand. It is only our hardened hearts that do not want to change, that makes the message hard. That is why God's word says to make yourself a new heart (Ezek. 18:31). Let Jesus Christ into your heart. He will help us make new hearts if we repent and obey Him and live our lives to please Him daily. Our Father wants the best for us and that is why He declares that His Ways are best. When we know His Ways and keep His Ways, then we are walking with God as Enoch, Noah and Abraham did. There are two principle ways in which we obey God and keep His New Covenant. One is to practice righteousness and the other is to practice justice. We must, however, know what these two words mean in the word of God (Psalm 33:5). The first, practicing righteousness, is not only helping the widow and the orphan in their affliction, but helping anyone who is in need (James 1:27). That means anyone who is in need of clothes, food, or a place to stay; anyone who is in need of cheering up, like people who are shut-ins. Visit the sick and go to the aid of anyone who has no helper. Always practice hospitality by having others over for dinner or lunch—especially the lame (Luke 14:13). These principles are not difficult, but you will have to force yourself and discipline yourself to do these things, for the Father in heaven, because human nature is selfish, uncaring, inconsistent and evil (Gen. 8:21; Psalm 51:5). You must discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness, so your old nature can die (1 Tim. 4:7; 6:3; Titus 1:1; 3:8; 2 Thess. 3:13). The second principle, practicing justice, means to be honest in all your dealings with men. Diligently pay others what you owe them. Use just (honest) weights and measures. Do not steal, murder, rape, commit fornication or adultery (1 Tim. 1:10; 1 Cor. 6:9-10), for these things are not doing unto your neighbor as you would have him do unto you. They do not glorify God but self, which is worldliness (Matt. 6:1). Be honest with your mouth. Speak only what is right and do only what is right. Do not overcharge people for rent (Amos 5:11). Do not underpay your employees, thereby oppressing them as wage earners (Mal. 3:5). Do not sue anyone without a just cause. Do not steal from the poor by financial trickery. Do not charge exorbitant interest (Ezek. 18:12-13). Anyone who will practice these principles for God daily is certainly not God's enemy, but God's friend (John 15:14). • The Lake of Fire | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search The Lake of Fire The pagan concept of the lake of fire is that it is an ever-burning place of torment, where unrepentant sinners go to be tortured for eternity. Close examination in the word of God reveals that concept is foolishness. God is not giving eternal life to those who are going to hell, but rather, eternal life is only going to those who are found worthy of it (Luke 20:35). Jesus says that the soul, as well as the body, can be destroyed by God in the lake of fire (Matt. 10:28). The lake of fire, then, is the second death (Rev. 20:14; 21:8). Isaiah 30:33 mentions a place called Topheth where the Lord sets a fire. This place Topheth is now a public park in the Jerusalem area. It is the place where the ancient Israelites sacrificed their children to the god Baal, which is just another name for Satan (Jer. 19:4-5). In Jesus Christ’s day, it was called Gehenna and it was the city dump. Those who died a dishonorable death were thrown into this dump area, where there were fires burning continually. People threw their garbage in there daily. The corpses were left to rot or be eaten by wild dogs. Isaiah 31:9 prophesied that this lake of fire, which is referred to also as a furnace, will be in Zion. Zion is another name for Jerusalem. Jesus Christ will start this lake of fire when He returns shortly to set up His government and rule the nations of this earth with a rod of iron (Rev. 19:15). His kingdom will have no end (Luke 1:32-33; Is. 9:6-7; 1 Cor. 15:25). We who overcome our evil natures by keeping Jesus Christ’s works, and endure to the end keeping them, will rule with Him (Rev. 2:26-27). The reward of the saved is to rule on this earth, not in heaven (Rev. 5:10; 1:6). Who goes into this lake of fire that has been prepared for the devil and his angels (Matt. 25:41)? The Bible is clear that the first two customers will be the beast and the false prophet (Rev. 13:14-17; 19:20). They love statues, which God abhors. God is going to destroy those who fall away after He has put them in charge over people He is calling (Matt. 24:48-51). The goats—those who knew that God’s true message of serving others and would not repent by doing so—will also be destroyed in the lake of fire. Anyone who goes on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth will be thrown into the lake of fire (Heb. 10:26-27). This is referring to anyone who has once been enlightened, known the truth, was baptized and received God’s Holy Spirit (Heb. 6:4-8). This is anyone who has known the Way of righteousness and has started to overcome, and then went back to his old way of life and was overcome by sin or evil again (2 Peter 2:20-22). These will all be written down in a book (Jer. 17:13). Because they did not overcome evil, but were overcome by evil, they will have their names erased from the book of life (Rev. 3:5; 1 Peter 3:10-11,13; Rom. 12:21; Ex. 32:32-33). They will go into the lake of fire. Those, however, who had good works and endured to the end will come into life everlasting (John 5:29). It should be clear that practicing good works daily is important in the true gospel message of Jesus Christ. This is how we repent (Luke 13:3, 5; Acts 3:26). It is how we glorify God and let our lights shine before others (Matt. 5:16). We are blessed when we repent by doing good works, and thus, return to God (Matt. 16:27; Rom. 2:6, 10; Rev. 22:12; Acts 3:19; 26:20). We build godly character or fruit on our spiritual trees by practicing good works (Col. 1:10; Matt. 3:8, 10). This is how we imitate God and allow God to live in us (Eph. 5:1; Gal. 4:19). It is how we keep Jesus’ words and God’s commandments in spirit (John 4:24; Gal. 5:16). When we practice righteousness, we overcome our evil nature and have Jesus Christ’s nature formed in us (Psalm 34:14; 37:27; Dan. 4:27; 1 Peter 3:10-11; Rom. 12:21; Rev. 2:26). As we learn righteousness, our faith is perfected (James 2:22; Titus 3:14). We become constant doers of God’s word (James 1:22). We become kind and charitable people and righteousness (God’s Will) eventually comes from our hearts (Eph. 6:6). We clothe ourselves with Jesus Christ (Job 29:14; Psalm 132:9). This is the narrow Way, and it is not generally known or taught today (Matt. 7:14). • The Message of Overcoming | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search The Message of Overcoming The word of God often speaks of "overcoming" (Rev. 2:7, 11, 17, 26; 3:5, 12, 21; 5:5; 21:7). It also speaks of "deeds," which is watered down from the original Greek word "works" (Rev. 2:2-3, 5, 19, 23, 26; 3:1-2, 8, 15-16). These works, which a follower of Christ must keep, are Christ's works (Rev. 2:26). They are the same ones Jesus Christ kept in order to overcome the world (John 16:33). When a believer dies, he ceases from glorifying God with good works and his good works follow him to the grave (Matt. 5:16; Rev. 14:13; John 5:28-29). Disciples of Jesus Christ are called blessed when they die keeping the works of the Lord. The fine linen and white robes given to the saints represent the righteous acts (good works) they did for God the Father (Rev. 19:8). They did all their works in Jesus' name while living on earth (Col. 3:17; Rev. 6:11). They didn't do their good works for reasons of being noticed by men (Matt. 6:1). Jesus is purifying for Himself a peculiar people who are zealous for good works and are turning away from evil by doing good for God (Titus 2:14; 1 Peter 3:11; Rom. 12:21). Paul told believers to engage in good works constantly and that this is something they would have to learn how to do (Titus 3:8, 14; Is. 26:9-10; 1:16-17). They were admonished to encourage one another to love and good works (Heb. 10:24). They were also told not to get weary in doing good works (Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13). Christ Himself even said some people would do greater works than He did (John 14:12). Why are we to do good works? Doing good works is how we overcome our natures and live the repentant life (Psalm 37:27). Jesus Christ, our true Teacher, says the righteousness we do must eventually come from our hearts or we cannot enter the kingdom (Rom. 10:3; Matt. 5:20; Eph. 6:6). We must strive and force ourselves into the kingdom that is within us (Luke 13:24; 16:16; 17:21, KJV). We must seize it for ourselves by daily disciplining ourselves for the purpose of godliness (Matt. 11:12). This process of overcoming is very easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30). It is not burdensome (1 John 5:3). It involves a life of sharing, of caring and of learning to be a servant of others, and it is called the Way of righteousness (Luke 3:11; James 2:15-16; 1 John 3:17-18; Matt. 25:33-40; 20:26; 21:32). Overcoming is how we bear good fruit on our trees and assure that we won't be burned up (Matt. 3:10). Good fruit is good works (Col. 1:10). We enter the good life by imitating God's Way of life. We depart from evil by doing good so we will abide forever (Psalm 37:27). Simple, isn't it? However, it is simply not known or practiced by many people in the world today. Jesus' disciples practiced that Way (Rom. 2:7). Isn't it time we returned to the true faith that was once delivered to the saints (Jude 3; 1 Tim. 6:3; Titus 1:1)? • Does God Use Evil Spirits? | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Does God Use Evil Spirits? Does God sometimes use Satan to do His Will? Yes, says the word of God in Job 1:12 and 2:6. God in heaven uses evil spirits or deceiving spirits to do His Will also (2 Chron. 18:20-22). The Lord can mix a spirit of distortion in people (Is. 19:14). The misled and the one who misleads belong to Him (Job 12:16). He makes fools of judges (Job 12:17). He takes away judgment or discernment from the leaders of a land (Job 12:20). God makes great nations, then destroys them when they sin (Job 12:23). He actually takes intelligence away from people (Job 12:24). I make peace and I create evil. I do all these things, says the Lord (Isaiah 45:7). In Judges 9:23, God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem. An evil spirit from the Lord terrorized Saul (1 Sam 16:14-15, 23; 18:10). First Kings 22:21-23 reveals a spirit was talking to the Lord about deceiving someone. God has meetings from time to time with the sons of God, which in this case are angels (Job 1:6; 2:1). Many excuse these examples because they are in the Old Testament. But God used Satan and evil spirits in the New Testament also. Turn to Acts 12:23. Here an angel of the Lord struck King Herod and the king was eaten by worms. Satan demanded permission from God to sift the apostle Peter like wheat, just like he did Job in the Old Testament (Luke 22:31). Evil spirits were pounding on people in Acts 19:16. The apostle Paul was continually being thwarted by Satan (1 Thess. 2:18). Some Christians were being turned over to Satan for the destruction of their flesh (1 Cor. 5:5). Today the devil is still scheming to get at disciples of Jesus Christ (Eph. 6:11). Satan will cast some into prison in the last days, and God says if they will be faithful for ten days, they will receive eternal life after they die (Rev. 2:10). Many end-time believers will be killed by Satan (Rev. 6:11; 9:15; 20:4). Yes, God is using Satan and evil spirits in His overall plan of salvation until Christ returns. Then Satan will be put in chains for 1,000 years until he is needed again for a short time (Rev. 20:7-8)! Now you can believe God uses evil spirits because you read it with your own eyes, in your own Bible. On the surface, this sounds like it is a supreme sacrifice on one’s part, but that notion couldn’t be further from the truth. Happiness comes from serving others, and teaching yourself to be totally outward is sheer health to your bones. If you don’t want the problems that others have, then help others who have those problems. This is a way of life that takes total commitment. But who wouldn’t totally commit themselves to being happy if they could be assured of the outcome? This assurance comes from the many changed lives of individuals who have started and finished before you. You can see by their lives that there has been a positive change for the good so, indeed, this is the truth. Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; 4 do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. 5 Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus. • All About Works | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search All About Works Satan is the enemy of all righteousness and that includes good works! He confuses the works of the law with the works of faith. Thus, we have many faiths with no works at all. Did Jesus’ faith have works? It is said there are many other good works Jesus did, which if they were written in detail, it is possible even the world itself would not contain the books written (John 21:25; 20:30). Did Jesus say His followers would have works? He said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he shall do also; and greater works than these shall he do because I go to the Father” (John 14:12). Jesus did good works in the Father’s name and for the Father’s glory (John 8:54; 10:25; 10:32; Matt. 5:16). He did the works He saw the Father doing (John 4:34; 5:19). He told all His followers to do these same works on earth as they are done in heaven because doing God’s works is doing God’s Will (Matt. 6:10; 7:21). These works are misunderstood by a deceived, misled world. That’s why Jesus says, “Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?” (Luke 6:46). Jesus continually admonished His followers to be doers of good works. Jesus did not live to please self, but others (Rom. 15:3; Matt. 20:28). He was pleasing His neighbor for His neighbor’s good and edification (Rom. 15:2). He was not seeking His own good, but was denying Himself daily by doing good works toward His neighbor (Luke 9:23; Matt. 25:33-46; 1 Cor. 10:24). He took on the form of a bond-servant, showing us how to do good works (Phil. 2:7; Matt. 23:11). He didn’t live for self by looking out for His own interests, but He looked out for the interests of others (Phil. 2:4). Having a faith with works means serving others in need for the glory of God (Matt. 5:16; James 2:14-18). Jesus’ faith is one of good deeds and not only words (1 John 3:18-19). It is a faith that is perfected by works (James 2:22). A faith that has works is a faith that is not foolish (James 2:20). A faith that has works is not dead, but is alive because of righteous good works (James 2:26; Rom. 8:10). A faith that serves others is the kind of faith God rewards because it pleases Him (Luke 14:13-14). Jesus did His works in the Father’s name and we are to do these same deeds in Christ’s name (John 10:25; 1 Cor. 3:13-14; Rev. 2:26; Col. 3:17). We are to overcome evil by doing good and allow God to crush Satan under our feet (Rom. 12:21; 16:20; 2 Tim. 2:26). Doing good works is how you glorify God daily and how you perform God’s Will on this earth (Matt. 5:16). When you do good works for God, He can bless you daily (Eph. 6:8). You build godly character and discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness when you do good works for God (1 Tim. 4:7). Good works is the good fruit on your spiritual tree (John 15:16; Col. 1:10; Matt. 3:10). Now you have the truth from God’s word about good works. • Good News About the Kingdom | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Good News About the Kingdom Jesus Christ is coming soon as King of kings to rule all the nations with a rod of iron. He has promised co-rulership with Him to those of us who overcome (Rev. 2:26-27). Some of us will be kings and some priests and we will reign on this earth (Rev. 5:10). The good news is that we can enter that kingdom and become a part of it now. This comes about when God puts a new heart in us that will want to obey Him, as He promised He would. The good news is that Christ’s Way of life is very easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30). You see, it has to be simple because God is calling the sinners and not the righteous. He is calling the prostitutes and thieves, the lowly and simple, the foolish and base things of the world. Surprise! He is going to make world leaders out of these people to shame the wise (1 Cor. 1:26-29). How do we enter this kingdom and receive a new heart? We must practice righteous works - Jesus Christ’s works. It would be impossible to overcome our evil natures by keeping our old works of the flesh (Rev. 2:26; John 14:12). When everything we do in good works and good words is done in His name and not for self, then we are doing Christ’s works (Col. 3:17). If we are doing our works for Jesus Christ to glorify the Father, then they are not our own works, but Christ’s. We are keeping Christ’s sayings. Whatever He says to do, we do. We live to please the Father daily by glorifying Him the way He wants to be glorified - with good works (Matt. 5:16)! As soon as Satan’s nature is crushed inside you and put under your control, you have overcome the evil one (Rom. 16:20; 1 John 2:13-14). When your righteousness comes from the heart and you no longer have to force yourself to do God’s Will, you become a happy slave of righteousness (Eph. 6:6; Luke 16:16; Rom. 6:18). Do not delay. Start today, so Satan does not take away your desire to become a new creature (Gal. 6:15). • How Do You Seek God? | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search How Do You Seek God? The question is asked, “How do you seek God?” The answer is given by God in Romans 3:10-11. There is no one who seeks God, there is no one who understands. Understands what? How to seek God? Yes! There is no one who does good. Good for who, Sam, Bill, Pete or David? No! There is no one who does good for God. Why? Because that is how you seek Him. Matthew 5:16 says, that God is glorified by good works done on His behalf and that is how a true doer of God’s word lets his light shine before men. We overcome by keeping Jesus Christ’s works of love and charity (Rev. 2:26). That is how we seek for glory and honor and immortality (Rom. 2:7). That is how the Lord blesses us (Rom. 2:6). Glory and honor to everyone who does good for God (Rom. 2:10). Doing good works for God is how you repent daily and turn to Him and have the veil removed from your eyes (2 Cor. 3:16). Good works have always been necessary for repentance, the Apostle Paul says (Acts 26:20). Good works is not only how you seek God, but how you continually get His attention. Be sure that all the works of love you do in word or in deed are done in the name of Jesus Christ for the glory of the Father (Col. 3:17). Then, study the Scriptures by subject daily, and understand and put them into action in your daily life for God. That is how you truly seek God. That is how you seek the kingdom, and that is how the kingdom within is entered (Matt. 6:33; 5:20; 2 Peter 1:11; Luke 17:21 King James Version). • Ready Set Go! | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Ready Set Go! If you are doing God's Will on this earth, as it is being done in heaven, then the Lord has something special to say to you: Remember what you have received and heard. Keep it, obey it and repent, by putting My words into practice. If you will not wake up and repent, I will come like a thief and you will not know at what hour I will come to you (Rev. 3:3 NASB & AMP). Yes, God is talking to all of us who are overcoming our evil natures by keeping Jesus Christ’s deeds. He is reminding His followers to practice the deeds He did as an example, and to endure until He returns (Rev. 2:26). If we who are His true servants zealously continue to practice being servants of others until God’s Will begins to come from our hearts, we will all be ready (Matt. 5:20; Eph. 6:6). True followers of Jesus Christ are continually admonished not to become weary in a life of doing good (2 Thess. 3:13). We are to pray always that we will be found worthy to escape all those things which are shortly coming upon this world. We are to pray that we will be counted worthy to survive and stand before Jesus Christ physically when He returns (Luke 21:36). These are solemn warnings to believers which should be heeded. Many people will wait until what they feel is the last minute. Then they plan to live for God by being a servant to others. They feel they’re too busy to take Jesus Christ’s words seriously and take action in their lives now. As a result, that day will come upon them as a trap and it will be too late (Luke 21:34). I feel those who perished in the time of Noah had this very same attitude, don’t you? We know that Jesus will return to take His people to a place of safety. He will come suddenly, like a thief, so we need to prepare to be ready—all set to go. How can we be ready? 1. We should continually live the repentant life by being servants of others (Matt. 23:11). 2. We must study God’s word daily, looking for Scriptures that pertain to the righteous, and then fulfill those Scriptures within our lives. Some examples are Luke 14:13; 6:35; James 2:14-16 and Luke 3:10-14. 3. We are to pray for others always and for our own needs also (1 Thess. 5:17). 4. We should commit everything to God, from brushing our teeth for God first thing in the morning to our prayers just before we retire (Col. 3:17). 5. We should keep the Lord always on our minds, and keep our thoughts and deeds pleasing to Him in all respects (Phil. 4:8; Isa. 26:3). Zealous, wholehearted, steadfast, persevering—these words describe a true disciple who is totally committed to God. They describe one who has an honest and good heart. This type of person is bearing godly fruit. He is building godly righteous character that not only has promise for this life, but also the life to come (Luke 8:15; Rev. 3:10; Col. 1:10; 1 Cor. 9:24-27; 1 Tim. 4:8; 2 Tim. 2:5-6). Remember always, winners never quit and quitters never win. • How to Accept Jesus Christ | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Accept Jesus Christ How can we accept Jesus Christ and be certain that He lives in us? Jesus makes a plain statement in John 14:23-24 that if we keep His words, His Father loves us, and He and His Father will come to us and make their abode with us. He also makes it abundantly clear that if we won’t or don’t put His words—which He received from the Father—into daily practice, we definitely do not love Him. It should be clear, then, that Jesus lives only in those who keep His words and put them into daily practice. The words Jesus spoke are spiritual, and continually abiding in them—doing what He said—is the only way to assure that you have eternal life (John 15:6-7; Luke 6:45-48). “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life” (John 6:63). Jesus’ spiritual words are the directions to eternal life, as well as how to live a blessed life while here on earth (Acts 3:26). Jesus said plainly that He could do nothing by Himself, unless it was something He saw the Father doing (John 5:19). No wonder we are to imitate Him daily (1 Cor. 11:1)! We are to be pleasing in God’s sight, just as Jesus was, by living the Way He gave us example to live (Jer. 27:5; Eph. 5:10). If we were to write down all the things Jesus told those who follow Him to live, we would have the exact directions and requirements for eternal life. We would know exactly what is expected of us as true disciples of Jesus Christ. Jesus says plainly, if we keep His words, by living them daily, we will never see spiritual death (John 8:51). Then, whatever Jesus did or said must be the Will of the Father, that we must imitate daily, if we are to abide forever. “The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the Will of God abides forever” (1 John 2:17). If we say we believe in Jesus and expect to never die, we must live the life that Jesus lived as our example. Jesus said, “Everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:26). Many do not. Many are taught they need do nothing to be saved. The word “believe” means obey and adhere to the teachings of Jesus Christ (John 3:36). In order to accept Jesus Christ and be sure He is living in you, you must obey Him daily. You must live as He lived. It’s just that plain and simple! If you don’t want the problems that others have, then help others who have those problems (1 Thess. 5:14; Rom. 12:21). When you begin to practice living this way, it will become evident to you that it is not as easy as you may think. You must force yourself to continue this course until you receive a change of heart and nature (Luke 16:16; 1 Cor. 9:25-27; Gal. 4:19). This is when you eventually become what you are practicing to be—a new creature, a worthy individual, a totally unselfish, happy, peaceful, new person who lives the truly abundant life (Gal. 6:15; John 10:10). This is a way of life that takes total commitment (John 11:26). But who wouldn’t totally commit themselves to being happy if they could be assured of the outcome? This assurance comes from the many changed lives of individuals who have started and finished before you. You can see by their lives that there has been a positive change for the good so, indeed, this is the truth. Sure, it takes courage and perseverance—you must persevere until you have reached your goal (Luke 21:19; 13:24). But isn’t this true for any worthy goal (Rom. 2:7)? GET THE MESSAGE The truth is simple just simply not known Whole Wheat is here 24 hours a day, to encourage you with the truth from God’s word, His Scriptures and promises, that give hope. God will help us navigate all that is happening in our world (Matt. 6:33; 1 Pet. 1:5). He tells us, in John 14:27, not to let our hearts be troubled or fearful but that He gives peace, that the world does not give. God is our refuge and strength and He knows who are His (Ps. 46:1; Nahum 1:7). We can have faith and hope in this, as we put Him first and pursue righteousness (Prov. 21:21). He fulfills His promises for the righteous as we honor Him and we come under His protection when we are zealously living for Him (1 Pet. 3:13). As the world grows darker, we need to remember to continue to show love to our neighbor, use the power of prayer and put all that we know into practice, using God’s wisdom and discernment (James 2:8; James 5:13-18). He is a shield to those that walk in integrity (Prov. 2:6-7). As our founder used to say, 'We do our best and God does the rest.' • Alcoholism | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Alcoholism What is alcoholism? Alcoholism is a penalty. It ris a just effect caused by abuse or misuse of a privilege. Alcohol by itself does no harm to anyone. Food by itself does no harm to anyone. Salt, pepper, and spices in moderate amounts do no harm to anyone. But what would be the result of abuse of these products? Great amounts of pepper can kill a person. Too much food can kill a person. Drinking too much alcohol can lead to permanent brain damage and kill a person. Too much alcohol impairs ones judgement and can cause harm to others, and oneself, unintentionally. It becomes evident that we are the culprits. God has given us this world and all it contains to use and enjoy, not to abuse and destroy. Yet, we can’t help but destroy because the word of God says we were born with an evil, destructive nature (Gen. 8:21; Eph. 2:3; Rom. 7:18-19). God’s word says we are being held captive by Satan to do his will (2 Tim. 2:26). Our nature is out to destroy us, but we must master it (Gen. 4:7). Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil by performing the works of God daily in His life (1 John 3:8). This is a very easy thing to do (Matt. 11:30). Just overcome evil by doing good (Rom. 12:21). Resist Satan and he will flee from you (Rom. 16:19-20; James 4:7). Who is there to harm us if we prove zealous for good deeds (1 Peter 3:13)? Jesus Christ drank wine (Luke 22:18; 7:34). He made wine from water and in the future, He will serve wine at the wedding supper for the saints (John 2:6-10; Is. 25:6). There are many Scriptures that support the wise, moderate use of alcohol (Eccl. 9:7; 8:15; 2:24; 5:18; Prov. 20:1; Eph. 5:18). Yet, the New Testament warns us not to become drunk (Gal. 5:21; Rom. 13:13; 1 Thess. 5:7). The Bible teaches us we are to be controlled by God’s Spirit, not alcohol (John 16:13; Rom. 8:14; 1 Tim. 3:3). Those who love God are told to practice moderation in all things (Prov. 11:1). We are to be examples of godliness, as we overcome our evil tendencies by choosing to honor God with good choices instead (1 Tim. 6:11; 1 Peter 3:11). So, if you are going to abuse alcohol, don’t use it. If you have abused it and are receiving your just penalty, then don’t use it anymore (Eph. 5:18; 1 Cor. 6:10; Rom. 13:13). There is much more to life than alcohol (1 Pet. 4:3). Take control of your life be being pleasing to God in all respects and honor Him by disciplining yourself for the purpose of godliness, so you may be a shining example to others and bring glory to His name (1 Tim. 4:7; 1 Cor. 6:20). • Understanding Grace | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Understanding Grace God’s grace is so overwhelming! Grace means undeserved pardon, and we certainly do not deserve His grace. Governments of this earth owe their existence to God’s grace. It is because of God’s grace that we continue to draw breath. We are called to repentance and our ears and eyes are opened to understand the Scriptures by God’s grace (2 Cor. 4:3; 1 Cor. 2:12). We have done nothing to earn grace. It is like salvation, something we cannot earn (Eph. 2:8-9). It is like a bonus turkey an employer gives his employee. He did not earn it; it is a free gift. However, if the employee did not please his employer with good works, he would be fired and there would be no free turkey. If that unworthy employee practiced bad works and bad working habits, he would be fired because when he was hired, he promised his employer he would do good works for him and glorify his business. In the same way, a true disciple of Jesus Christ agrees to glorify God with a life of good works when he is baptized (Eph. 2:10; Rom. 6:4). God wants people to glorify His name with daily good works and to come out of a life of living daily bad works. Christ is purifying for Himself a people who are zealous for good works (Titus 2:14). God did not have to call you to be His servant. He could have called someone else, but He did not. By grace, God called you. So now, make your calling sure. Overcome evil by doing good, thinking good and speaking only what is good, until Christ is formed in you (Rom. 12:21; Psalm 37:27; Gal. 4:19). Then you will become a new creature, complete with the new nature, which comes from serving God by serving others for His glory. As you do these things, you will be worshiping Him in Spirit and in truth (Rom. 12:1; John 4:24; Phil. 3:3). This is how God wants to be worshiped today. • How Can a Wife Do God’s Will? | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search How Can a Wife Do God’s Will? Jesus wants you to commit your words and your actions to God the Father, and to do all that you do in His name (Col. 3:17). How can a wife do this? There is so much a woman of God, and wife, can do for God each day. To begin with, a woman can keep her home clean and neat for God to be a good example to others, as well as to her husband, always ready to serve. She can dress nicely and put herself together each day so that she will look pleasant for her husband, be a good example to her children and others, for God, as much of the time as possible. She could invite the blind or the elderly over for dinner and fulfill Luke 14:13 for God. She could plan nutritious meals for her family for God. She could plan a garage sale to raise extra money with which to do good for God. She might clean an elderly person’s home for God or bring them flowers to cheer them up. She can encourage other's in God's Ways, by calling someone she knows is down and lifting them up, being a compassionate and understanding friend, stimulating them to more love and good deeds. She can continually be a good example wherever she goes by always being kind and thoughtful to those around her, putting the needs of others before her own, for the glory of God. She can make time to study the Bible, to show herself approved, so that she might always be prepared with a good answer to those who ask her to give an account of the hope in her. She could show her husband love, for God, by doing something out of the ordinary for him. If he doesn’t notice, that’s all right because she is doing it for God and He always notices everything we do for Him. He even writes it down in a book (Rev. 20:12). He blesses us even for the little things we do for His glory in Christ’s name (Col. 3:17; Matt. 10:42). But as Paul says, this is something we must learn to do (Titus 3:14). If we start doing good every day for God, at the end of 30 days we will be doing much better than we were the day we started (1 Tim. 5:10). It is important to start to produce good fruit for God so He can start to bless us more (Col. 1:10). We will begin to see our personality change as we conform to godliness (1 Tim. 6:3). We are to imitate God in what we say and do, so we can be more like Jesus Christ (Eph. 5:1; 1 Peter 4:11; 1 John 3:18). This allows God to crush Satan under our feet and reveal His nature in us (Rom. 16:20; Gal. 4:19). Thank you, Father in heaven, for making Your Way so pleasant and such a rewarding way to live (Matt. 11:28-30; John 11:26). • How to Love Yourself | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Love Yourself God wants us to straighten out our lives because He wants the best for us. He loves us more than we could ever love ourselves. He wants us to love ourselves as much as He loves us. This is done by serving others. God created us to walk in His Ways. He said that if we would, He would teach us, bless us, answer all our prayers and fulfill all our needs and desires. He promises us protection, long life, health, joy, peace, happiness and the greatest gift of all, eternal life. We will also rule with Him when He returns and live in His kingdom with Him forever. When we just practice living by His Ways each and every day, learning to live the right way, God says He will live in us, perfect Christ’s nature in us and cause our spiritual growth. Galatians 4:19 — My children, with whom I am again in labor until Christ is formed in you. 1 Corinthians 3:7 — So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth. Colossians 2:19 — Not holding fast to the head, from whom the entire body, being supplied and held together by the joints and ligaments, grows with a growth which is from God. God’s Ways are God’s thoughts, deeds and actions. All God’s Ways are good; He is righteous in all His Ways and kind in all His deeds. When we practice kindness and charity to all, we are imitating God daily and allowing Him to form Christ’s nature in us. Psalm 145:17 — The Lord is righteous in all His Ways, and kind in all His deeds. Galatians 4:19 — My children, with whom I am again in labor until Christ is formed in you. When practicing righteousness and kindness truly comes from our heart, we have entered God’s rest and fulfilled the royal law: you shall love your fellow humans as you love yourselves. Love is, therefore, the fulfillment of the law. Hebrews 4:10 — For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works [of the flesh], as God did from His [works of creation]. Romans 13:10-14 — Love does no wrong to a neighbor; love therefore is the fulfillment of the law. Do this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep; for now salvation is nearer to us than when we first believed. The night is almost gone, and the day is near. Therefore let’s rid ourselves of the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let’s behave properly as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and debauchery, not in strife and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts. This is the answer to all of our problems. Simply serve others for God’s glory, thereby, showing God how much you love yourself and how much you love Him! • How to Be a Friend of God | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Be a Friend of God Being a friend of God is not as difficult as it may seem. It involves a simple matter of respect. You do not obey one whom you do not respect. If you did not respect your earthly father, you did not obey him. If, however, he punished you for disobeying him, you would, in turn, respect and obey him. In the same manner, to obey God is to serve God. To serve God is to love God, and to love God is to serve our neighbor first, before self (1 Cor. 10:24). Even Jesus Christ, our example, did not live to serve Himself, but others (Rom. 15:3). He came to show us how to be servants of God, by being servants of others (Matt. 20:26-28; Phil. 2:5-7). He taught us to serve God by serving the sick, the blind, the lame, the widow in distress; by visiting or caring for orphans; by giving to those who ask things of us; and by doing many such acts of righteousness for God and His glory (James 1:27). These are ways we produce fruits of righteousness for God. God’s Will is righteousness, and when we perform righteousness, we are doing the Will of God on this earth as it is being done in heaven. If the Father in heaven is continually doing righteousness, which He is, and Jesus Christ constantly performed good deeds to be pleasing to the Father when He was here on earth, how much more should we strive to do good deeds for God (John 4:34; 5:30, 34; 6:63; 8:29; 12:47, 50)? We do this by practicing righteousness daily, to please Him in every way, in order to imitate and obey Him (Eph. 5:1). Once we are aware that God rewards righteousness, and punishes wickedness, on a daily basis like a loving father, we know that we reap what we sow (Gal. 6:7). So if all we sow is righteousness, then we will reap God’s blessings each day! • Building Your Faith in God | Daily Grains

Building Your Faith in God Jesus Christ had faith in His Father because He respected His Father’s Will. He used His Father as an example. Whatever He saw His Father do, He did likewise. His Father loved Him and showed Him all things. Christ did nothing of His own initiative but He only did what He was taught by His Father to do. He always did things that were pleasing to His Father. Disciples of Jesus Christ must also learn to love and imitate the Father by doing the same deeds that Christ did—helping the poor, lame and blind; in general, living a life of doing good. We overcome our sinful natures by doing so. When we become zealous for good deeds and endure to the end, the Father is glorified. This is the way the Father wishes to be worshiped. We must be careful to do these things in the name of Jesus Christ, for the glory of the Father in heaven. Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner. 20 For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself is doing; and the Father will show Him greater works than these, so that you will marvel. John 5:19-20 So Jesus said, “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and I do nothing on My own initiative, but I speak these things as the Father taught Me. 29 And He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him.” John 8:28, 29 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. Ephesians 5:1 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. Romans 12:9 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21 He who overcomes, and he who keeps My deeds until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations. Revelations 2:26 Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth. 19 We will know by this that we are of the truth, and will assure our heart before Him. 1 John 3:18-19 Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father. • Jesus, Our Example | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Jesus, Our Example Jesus is our example. One of the reasons He came to this earth was to show us and tell us the Way to live. We, as His true disciples, are to walk in the same manner as He walked, which means to live as He lived (1 John 2:6). How, then, did Jesus live? Jesus did not live to please Himself (Rom. 15:3). Instead, He lived to glorify God. Jesus’ purpose was to do God’s Will on earth as it is being done in heaven and to accomplish that which He was prophesied to accomplish in the word of the prophets (John 4:34; Luke 24:44). People asked Jesus how they could do the works of God and He told them they must believe in Him whom God has sent (John 6:28-29). Very few know that the word believe means adhere to the teachings of, put your trust in, take action and live the message of Jesus Christ. Believe also means obey (John 3:36; 11:25-26). Jesus said He was among us as one who serves (Luke 22:27). He instructed His disciples to be servants of all (Mark 9:35). He said, "For he who is least among you, this is the one who is great" (Luke 9:48). Jesus took the form of a servant to show us how to serve one another in love (Phil. 2:7). He was a servant to others for the glory of God (Matt. 5:16). He said His Way is easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30). So the one who is great in the eyes of God is the one who serves others in love, just as Jesus did (Matt. 20:26-28). Jesus is making disciples who are zealous for good works (Titus 2:14). People who obey Him and worship the Father by practicing good works of love in serving others, are the ones who let their lights shine (Matt. 5:16). They are the righteous ones in God’s eyes because they practice righteousness continually for God (1 John 3:7, 10; 3 John 11). If it is with difficulty that the righteous - those who practice righteousness daily for God - are saved, what will become of the godless people and the sinners - those who will not practice righteousness for God by serving others (1 Peter 4:18; Matt. 25:41-46)?
