  • Godly Advice to the Unmarried | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Godly Advice to the Unmarried In years past, there was a thing called courtship. Many today call it dating. This is when a man and woman would get to know each other and see if they were compatible to be husband and wife. The man would woo a woman by taking her out to dinner, bringing her flowers, or other tokens of affection as acts of kindness. He would show to her, by his continual actions, that he was kind, generous, outgoing and a lovable type of person, marriage material, if you will. She would show him the same by her words and actions. Today, courtship or dating has become living together, fornicating and using one another for self-gratification. People engage in sexual activity with anyone they want, at any time, without much thought, many times with no intention of even continuing a relationship - much less marriage. This is considered lascivious in the Bible, which is being loose or indulging in improper lustful desires (Mark 7:22; 2 Cor. 12:21; Eph. 4:19 KJV). Yes, people have turned what was designed by God to be beautiful, into a nightmare of continual sin. How far removed we are from what was intended for our own good by a loving Creator. If a man looks upon a woman with lust, he has already committed adultery or fornication with her in his heart, says Jesus Christ our Creator and Sustainer (Matt. 5:28). How much more has one sinned, when enticing a man to lust after her, by removing her clothes and exposing her body for him to gaze upon. People do not realize that God is the one who brings sinner’s ways back on their own heads (Psalm 125:4; Jer. 4:18; 26:3, 13; 32:19; Ezek. 7:3, 9; 11:21; 18:32). Shouldn’t we, then, make all our ways pleasing to the Lord so He can bless us instead of curse us? The Lord is righteous in all His Ways and kind in all His deeds (Psalm 145:17). God wants us to make all our ways right before Him. He wants us to make all our deeds righteous and kind so He can bless us and answer our prayers. God hates sin and sin is lawlessness (1 John 3:4). God loves purity, decency and morality. God is against adultery, fornication, or sexual experimentation. The advice to an unmarried person is, if that person cannot demonstrate self-control sexually, then marry, for it is better to marry than to burn. We are warned and admonished by the word of God to flee immorality (1 Cor. 6:18). When you join yourself to another through intercourse, you become one flesh or the same as married in God’s word (1 Cor. 6:16; Matt. 19:6). This being so, you must now follow God’s commandments on marriage (1 Corinthians Chapter 7). However, if you do not honor that relationship, as if you were married, and go and have intercourse with someone else, now you have committed adultery (Matt. 5:31-32; 19:8-9). Because of immorality, let every man have his own wife (1 Cor. 7:2). We are constantly warned not to act immorally (1 Cor. 10:8). The Bible says immoral persons will go into the lake of fire, which will be located in Jerusalem, and this is the second death (Is. 31:9; Rev. 21:8). It is not a sin to think immoral thoughts, only to dwell on them. It is Satan’s job to tempt you. When you put immoral thoughts out of your mind, you resist Satan and he will flee from you. What you premeditate, you normally do, sooner or later. So premeditate doing good for God and overcome evil by doing good (1 Peter 3:11; Rom. 12:21; Rom. 2:7; 2 Peter 2:6; Jude 1:7). Many people do not know that the tests we go through in this life are from God. He wants to see whether or not we will obey Him and cry out to Him in our time of need. God hears the prayer of the righteous—those who do good and not evil continually; those who are the sheep and not the goats (John 9:31; Matt. 25:33-46). Remember always, God is watching us from a distance (Psalm 33:14). Galatians 5:19-21; Mark 7:21-23; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Ephesians 5:3-5; 2 Timothy 3:2-5; and Malachi 3:5 cover the acts of our sinful nature, which we are to put to death with the help of God’s Spirit (Rom. 8:13). Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things, God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient (Col. 3:5-6). Therefore, do not be partakers with them; for you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light. The fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth. Find out what pleases the Lord and engage in it daily for repentance (Eph. 5:6-10, 17; Matt. 3:2). In Bible times, those who were true disciples of Jesus Christ were overcoming evil by continually doing good for the Lord (Rom. 2:7; 12:21; Psalm 37:27). Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever, and so is His message of overcoming (Heb. 13:8). We need to put His words into action daily and do God’s Will so we will abide forever (John 8:51; 1 John 2:17). Remember, there is nothing impossible for God’s disciples to overcome (Luke 1:37; Matt 17:20). It just takes daily determination and fighting the good fight of faith for God (1 Tim. 6:12). You can do all things through Him that strengthens you (Phil. 4:13). PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME All About the Bible PDF © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • How to Get out of a Mess | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Get out of a Mess A mess is generally made up of many parts. The first thing to do is realize that you are part of it and whatever part you are, makes little difference. Messes are the result of sins, and the good life is the result of righteousness. If you want a mess, continue to sin. If you want the good life, then start being good by doing good (Rom. 12:21; 1 Peter 3:10-11). It is the only way to solve your problems. Now, if you do good for anyone, except God, you will get puffed-up and think you are a pretty nice person and that again is sin. God says your righteousness, if not done to please God, is as a flithy rag or as the original Hebrew text says, dirty menstrual cloth (Is. 64:6). Since Jesus Christ said He was not good, and yet all He did was good, it would be blasphemy for us to think of ourselves as good, except through Jesus Christ (Luke 18:19; 24:19; Acts 10:38; John 21:25). Paul understood this, because he said, "I am convinced that there is no good thing in me" (Rom. 7:18; 8:1). Now, there are some other directions to follow. You have got to care to get there, and you must start to finish. You must keep your eye upon the goal. You must persevere to win your soul (Luke 21:19). The more good you do, the better you will feel. The better you feel, the more good you will do. It is an endless glory race, that makes you wear a happy face. Jesus said it is easy, pleasant and rewarding (Matt. 11:30; 6:33). Jesus Christ wants you to come to Him (Matt. 11:28-29; 2 Tim. 2:7). This is why He came. Will you study His word daily so He can teach you? Will you live to please God every day, in all that you think, do and say? If you do, He will please you and bless all you do, and answer your prayers when you pray. God can help you get out of the mess you are in, if you will obey Him and live for Him daily. • The Secret of Perpetual Motion | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search The Secret of Perpetual Motion The God of heaven and earth promises a glorified body that will never die or cease moving to everyone who believes and lives in Him. If that is not perpetual motion, what is? The only thing you need to do to accomplish this is repent from a life of perpetual evil and live a life of perpetual good, as Jesus Christ, our perfect example, did. Paul, Peter and other apostles were continually admonishing people to practice being good by perpetually practicing those things that are good (Matt. 25:33-40). Paul also told people, including us, that Jesus Christ is purifying for Himself a people who are perpetually zealous for good works (Titus 2:14). Christ is now ascended on high, where He perpetually does good in heaven. A true follower of Jesus Christ perpetually does good on earth as it is perpetually done in heaven because he is following Christ’s perpetual example (Matt. 6:10). Now if you are not learning to be good by perpetually doing good and glorifying God in heaven by doing good works daily, as Christ did, what are you doing with your free time (Matt. 5:16)? Are you still indulging in a little sin? Heaven forbid! If you are, then you are serving two gods, the god of this world - Satan, and the God of heaven - Jesus Christ (Matt. 6:24; 1 John 5:19; John 14:30). We are not to live to the flesh any longer, but only to the Spirit, so we do not carry out the desires of the flesh (Gal. 5:16). We put to death the unclean deeds and habits of the flesh by perpetually living to please God (Rom. 8:13). So, if you want your wheels to perpetually turn, perpetually do good for God and He will perfect you (Rom. 12:1-2; Matt. 5:48). • The Bible is... | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search The Bible is... The Bible is a book on love (John 15:12). It is a book on how to love your neighbor as yourself (Gal. 5:13-14), how to love God and how to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Jesus was constantly doing good each day to please the Father (Acts 10:38). He gave us a clear example of how easily this can be done (Matt. 11:30). He fed the hungry, He healed the sick, He helped the needy and He forgave sinners (Matt. 25:31-40). Jesus was constantly doing acts of kindness and charity. Why did Jesus Christ live this way? He was glorifying the Father by doing good works (Matt. 5:16). He was overcoming evil by doing good (Rom. 12:21; Rev. 5:5; John 16:33). He was learning obedience to the Father by disciplining Himself according to godliness (Heb. 5:8; Titus 1:1). As a result of His daily actions of righteousness, the Father was able to perfect Him (Heb. 5:9). He endured suffering for doing what was right continually (1 Peter 4:1), and He endured to the end. Jesus, in every respect, showed the successive stages of spiritual growth. He was baptized. He received the Spirit. He was made weak. He was tempted by Satan. He continued to obey God. He was persecuted for doing good. He suffered for doing good. He endured to the end as an example of good works for God’s glory. He told us to do the same. He died for our sins that we might live righteously as He lived, and He gave His life to show us how to live righteously before God in an ungodly world each day. The word of God is a book that tells how to get the most out of life. It explains how to live forever and how to be God’s friend. The Bible defines sin and righteousness. It demonstrates how to be prosperous. It is a book of wisdom that teaches us how to do God’s Will on this earth as it is done in heaven. The Bible is a spiritual book. It was written by the Spirit of God as God moved men to write it. It is a book that cannot be understood by those who won’t live it. The Bible is revealed knowledge by God to individuals who live holy lives. Unless you live a holy life before God each day and study, not read, it to show yourself approved to God (2 Tim. 2:15), your understanding of the Bible will always remain incomplete. When you live to please God each day by doing the things He would have you do, you are considered holy, righteous, saved, born again, sanctified, justified, sinless, godly and upright. By imitating the way Jesus lived daily, you are in Christ. When you continue to abide in Jesus Christ, you are clothed with His righteousness. You build godly character in your life by serving others for God in secret (Matt. 6:1), helping the elderly, the lonely, the blind, the lowly, the orphan, the widow, or those who have no one to help them. You are considered righteous by God because you are practicing righteousness toward others as God’s word commands (1 John 3:7, 10, 18; Col. 3:17). Do you know why God doesn’t allow most people who read the Bible to understand it? Do you know why the gospel is veiled and hidden by God, who is allowing Satan to blind people’s minds from truly understanding the gospel (2 Cor. 4:3-4)? If you were blinded, you would have no sin. But when you are allowed to see what the truth is and you do not live it, your sins remain and could cost you your salvation (John 12:47-48). Therefore, God has shut up all in disobedience that He might have mercy on all. Oh, the depth and riches and wisdom of God (Rom. 11:32-33). Jesus said, “If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin” (John 15:22). He was referring to sin leading to eternal death. But now they have no excuse for their sin. Now we can see that those who understand the message of the kingdom of heaven no longer have an excuse for their sins. Whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil that is over his eyes is removed (2 Cor. 3:16). What a message. What a truth! • How to Enter God's Rest | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Enter God's Rest "For the one who has entered Jesus Christ’s rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His. Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall through following the same example of disobedience" (Heb. 4:10-11). Let’s examine the facts stated in these verses. There is a godly rest that we are to enter. We enter it by resting from all our works. We must be diligent to enter that rest. We enter God’s rest when we cease from all our works of lawlessness (1 John 3:4). Works of lawlessness are the things we do when we live to the flesh. We must put these deeds of the flesh to death (Rom. 8:13; Gal. 5:16). How do we do this? By living to the Spirit! Jesus Christ said living to the Spirit, instead of to the flesh, is easy (Matt. 11:30). All we need to do is obey Him by imitating His behavior and the Father’s (1 Cor. 11:1; Eph. 5:1). What did Jesus do? How did He do it? He kept the works of the Father exclusively. The good works He did were done in the Father’s name and in so doing, He glorified the Father (Matt. 5:16; John 10:25). He overcame the world by overcoming His nature (John 16:33). Jesus Christ was made perfect (Heb. 5:9). We also must strive to do the works of God (Luke 13:24). We must persevere and be zealous in doing the works of the Father (Rom. 2:6-7; Luke 21:19). We are commanded not to get weary in doing good works (Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13; 1 Cor. 15:58). In fact, Jesus said many of us would do greater works than He did because He had to go to the Father (John 14:12). You might ask, "What shall we do, that we may work the works of the Father?" That is a legitimate question and it was asked of Christ in John 6:28. The works of the Father make up the Will of God (1 John 2:17; Matt. 7:21). God’s Will consists of any acts of righteousness done for God’s glory (Col. 3:17). You could keep your appearance up for God. Love your mate for God. Teach your children about God’s Ways, showing them that they receive a reward from God for each thing they do in His name (Matt. 6:1; Eph. 6:1-2, 7-8). Respect God’s name. Do not use it in profanity a day longer, because those who do are His enemies (Psalm 139:20). The more you do for God, the more He will do for you (Mark 4:24; Mal. 3:10; Luke 6:38; 2 Cor. 9:6). When all you sow is righteousness, then everything you reap will be a blessing! You will have entered God’s kingdom, which is within your new heart (Luke 17:21). You will have forced your way into the kingdom of heaven by disciplining yourself to do God’s Will (Luke 16:16). You will have overcome your old nature by being zealous for good works – Christ’s works (1 Peter 3:13; Rev. 2:26). You will have rested from all your works because you are only doing God’s works now. You will have entered God’s rest. PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME All About the Bible PDF © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • The Message of the Prophets | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search The Message of the Prophets The message of the prophets down through the ages was, "Repent! Repent, or you will all likewise perish!" (Matt. 3:2; 4:17; Luke 13:3, 5). Wouldn't it be something if that was the end of their message from God? No one would know how to repent. Some would think it meant cry aloud the words, "I repent! I repent!" and that would be it. Others would say the sinner's prayer and that would be the end of their repentance. They would say they gave their heart to the Lord or let Jesus into their heart. What was the whole message of the prophets (Acts 5:20)? How did the messengers from God tell people they were to repent? Daniel told King Nebuchadnezzar how to repent saying, "Break away now from your sins by doing acts of righteousness, and from all your sinful ways by showing mercy to the poor" (Dan. 4:27). Isaiah said, "Cease to do evil by learning to do good. Seek to be just in all your ways, and correct those who are evil. Help orphans and serve widows who are in need. If you consent and obey, you will be blessed in the land and though your sins are as red as scarlet, they will be as white as snow. Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your deeds from My sight" (Is. 1:16-20). Zephaniah told those who would repent, "Seek the Lord, all you humble of the earth, who have carried out His ordinances. Seek to be righteous and stay humble. Perhaps you will be hidden in the day of the Lord's anger" (Zeph. 2:3). Amos, the prophet, said, "Seek good and not evil, that you may live and not perish, and God will be with you. Hate evil, love what is good and establish true justice in your courts. Perhaps the Lord God of hosts will be gracious to you and you won't perish" (Amos 5:14-15). The inhabitants of the world must learn righteousness. Though the wicked is shown favor, he does not learn righteousness (Is. 26:9-10). God wants us to repent and learn righteousness by serving others and living a life of doing good. He wants us to stop doing evil and only do good. He wants us to live according to His Ways, which are pure, good and unselfish. Yes, the message of the prophets of old was, "Repent, or you will perish" (Luke 13:3, 5). This was Jesus Christ's message, and it is the message for us today. PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME All About the Bible PDF © 2025 Whole Wheat International

Dealing With Resentement Resentment is a very treacherous thing. It is dangerous because it builds so slowly, we often are not even aware of its presence. Resentment kills people, destroys marriages, causes misunderstandings between friends, and is an enemy of all happiness. It can be present in almost every situation in life. Resentment actually eats us alive. It devours us from the inside out. It causes sleepless nights, worry, frustration, anxiety and stress. Some people eat more, craving for some pleasures in life, something to soothe a troubled mind. Life sometimes becomes a living hell. The apostle Paul said, "I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against my mind, making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in the members of my body. Oh, wretched person that I am, who will set me free from this body of death? Thanks be to God, through our Lord Jesus Christ. So on the one hand I am serving the law of God, while at the same time I am living in my sinful body. But there is no condemnation for those who live to please their Lord Jesus Christ.” Did Jesus carry resentment in His heart for those who killed Him? No! He overcame resentment with pure love. “Forgive them, Father, for they do not know what they are doing,” He said. Destroy resentment by giving it no place in your life! Start now. If you don’t, it will destroy you. It has already harmed you, but you didn’t realize it before. Now you know what to do about it. Forgive everyone all the time; and be like Jesus Christ, our example. But I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members. 24 Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death? 25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin. Romans 7:23-25 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1 But Jesus was saying, “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.” Luke 23:34 PREV NEXT Click below for full Bible Study: Resentment

  • Understanding Repentance | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Understanding Repentance Repent (Matt. 3:2)! The Bible says that in order to repent, we must stop living just for self and start living for God daily by serving others in the name of Jesus Christ, His Son (Phil. 2:3; Col. 3:17). If the meaning of repentance was clearly known today and completely understood, wouldn’t we have more true disciples of Jesus Christ and only one church? Jesus Christ came to show us individually how to be a servant to others for the glory of the Father (Eph. 5:1; Matt. 20:28). He said the greatest in His kingdom would be the servant of the most (Matt. 20:26; 23:11). We have examples of Christ’s disciples such as Dorcas, who was abounding with deeds of kindness and charity which she did continually (Acts 9:36). To truly repent we must live a life of doing good for God, like Dorcas, and overcome evil by keeping Christ’s works or deeds, which are all good. We must have a faith of good works, not a dead faith (James 2:26). It must not be a faith that professes to know God but is worthless for any good deeds (Titus 1:16). This has been misunderstood by some to be preaching “salvation by works.” It is true that eternal life is a free gift from God which cannot be earned, but the Scriptures go on to say eternal life will only be given to those who repent and overcome their evil natures by doing good for God (Eph. 2:8-10; Titus 3:5-8; Rev. 2:11; 3:5). God’s word says we must be considered worthy to attain to the age of the resurrection from the dead and we must have good works to be resurrected (Luke 20:35; John 5:29). Satan’s “good-for-nothing” message keeps many people from becoming new creations with Christ formed in them (Gal. 4:19). The people who are not involved in doing good works appropriate for repentance need not be concerned about being complete, because they lack the complete message of salvation (Acts 26:20; James 1:4; 2 Tim. 2:26; 2 Cor. 4:3)!The very first words in the salvation message of long ago, as well as today, are, “Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Entering the kingdom of heaven requires daily repentance, which is living the Way Jesus came to show us, called the Way of righteousness (Matt. 21:32; 2 Peter 2:21). Repentance means we are to stop doing Satan’s will in our lives and start doing God’s Will (2 Tim. 2:25-26). This is how we cease to be Satan’s children and become God’s children. • Come Out of Their Midst and Be Separate | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Come Out of Their Midst and Be Separate Believe it or not, we live in an uncivilized world. God has shown man that they are but beasts (Eccl. 3:18). Mankind has a heart that is desperately wicked and more deceitful than anything you can imagine. It is so evil, it is impossible to know (Jer. 17:9 King James Version). The days are only getting darker and the world revealing more wickedness as each day goes by. When humans do not obey the Lord, they are like brute beasts (Psalm 73:22). They are self-willed and indulge in the flesh with its corrupt desires, despising the authority of God, instead of living a life of doing good and doing God’s Will (Gal. 5:18-20; Rom. 1:24-32). Doing God’s Will is practicing kindness, justice and goodness towards others. Humans remain creatures of instinct doing Satan’s will in their bodies; they are like beasts meant to be destroyed (2 Tim. 2:26; 2 Peter 2:10). When you have human nature, you are by nature a brute beast (Jude 10). Becoming civilized, then, is a process of living by every word of God (Deut. 8:3; Prov. 30:5; Matt. 4:4). It was never meant for man, whom God created, to direct his own steps and live by the way he thought was best for himself (Jer. 10:23). Mankind was to walk in, live by or keep all of God’s Ways, which God has commanded us to keep for our own good (Deut. 5:33; 8:6; 10:12-13; 19:9). God’s thoughts are not our thoughts, neither are God’s Ways our ways. God’s Ways are all righteous; our ways are all wicked (Is. 55:8; Psalm 145:17). All our ways and thoughts are not good (Is. 65:2). This is why God says, in Isaiah 40:17, that all nations before Him are as nothing. They are accounted to Him as less than nothing, yet there were times when God would spare a whole city if there was just one person who was practicing charity towards others (doing justice) and seeking the truth (Jer. 5:1; Gen. 18:22-32; Dan. 4:35). When will mankind realize it is God Almighty who makes nations great and then destroys them when they forsake Him (Is. 60:12)? God has a policy and He does not change (Mal. 3:6). All nations who forget God will return to the grave (Psalm 9:17; 10:16). It is God who rules over the nations (Psalm 22:28; Job 12:23). Jesus is returning soon to set up His kingdom, which will have no end (Luke 1:33). It will be a kingdom where only righteousness dwells. People will only be keeping God’s Ways and doing God’s Will towards one another each and every day. All the nations who are left will come up from year to year at Jerusalem so they may learn God’s Ways in order to be civilized (Is. 2:3; Micah 4:2). Are you becoming civilized by keeping God’s Ways and doing God’s Will on this earth daily as it is being done by God in heaven (Matt. 6:10)? Are you practicing deeds of kindness and love to everyone you meet? Are you becoming born again by practicing righteousness towards your fellow man daily as Jesus gave us example to do (1 John 2:29)? Are you living this Way for Christ (Col. 3:17)? The Lord is coming soon! It’s time to get on His side, so we are off of His hit list (Is. 66:16). Separate yourself from the world and all of its foolishness (Rev. 18:4; 2 Cor. 6:17-18). Draw away from the world and its distractions, and instead draw near to God and His wisdom (1 John 5:19; Mark 4:19; Mark 8:36; James 4:8). Don’t allow yourself to be influenced by others in your life, who are not living God’s truth wholeheartedly (2 Thess. 2:10-12). Do not allow yourself to be influenced by television, movies, the internet, political figures and those of the world promoting themselves and their worldly causes (Luke 9:25, John 15:19; 1 John 2:15-17). When we look at the definition of faction, in Noah Webster’s 1828 dictionary, it means - A party: in political society, combined or acting in union. It also means, discord, dissension, tumult (the commotion, disturbance or agitation of a multitude usually accompanied with great noise, uproar, confusion of voices). We know who the author of confusion is, Satan himself (1 Cor. 14:33). God uses factions, whether political or other groups in our lives, to reveal who have godly character and are approved, according to Him, so that they may clearly be seen (1 Cor. 11:19; 2 Peter 1:4). These groups reveal who is like-minded, and when it comes to factions, that means like-minded in the world. A faction is listed in Galatians 5:20 as a deed of the flesh, and it tells us that those that participate in the deeds of the flesh will not inherit the kingdom of God (Gal. 5:19-21). God says we are to be in full agreement in what we say, so that there be no factions among us (1 Cor. 1:10 AMP). That we be perfectly united in our way of thinking and judgement, according to God and His Ways (Phil. 2:2; Titus 3:9). We cannot be united if we are divided by anything of this world. We are to do nothing from empty conceit (through factional motives or strife) but with an attitude of humility being neither arrogant or self-righteous, regarding others as more important than yourselves (Phil. 2:3 AMP). It is more important than ever to align yourself only with God and leave all worldliness behind; whether politics, or any other worldly group or individual that promotes something other than the whole truth of God’s Will for us (2 Tim. 3:1-7 AMP). The wisdom and the knowledge of this world is foolishness before God (1 Cor. 3:19). God’s word says that the knowledge of this world is demonic, which means it comes from demons (James 3:15; 2 Thess. 2:2; 1 Tim. 4:1). And be careful, as many will seem as though they promote God but secretly have another agenda (Matt.7:15; 2 Cor. 11:13-15). Isn’t that what is going to happen when the antichrist comes (Rev. 20:1-3)? The message will be so similar to God’s truth, that even the elect, if possible, will be deceived (Matt. 24:24; Mark 13:22). This is why it is so important not to get swept up in what is happening in the world (Luke 21:34-35; Col. 3:2; Heb. 12:1). This is why it is so important to build, and maintain, your stand-alone faith. If we are not studying daily and reminding ourselves continually of this truth, and God’s Ways, then Satan can use that as an open door to manipulate and confuse us (1 Cor. 14:33; John 6:33; Matt. 6:11). We must be sober and spiritually aware to what is all around us (1 Pet. 5:8). It is crucial, as the world is deteriorating and more divided than ever (Mark 3:23-26). Be on the alert, at all times, for deception. We are in the midst of spiritual warfare and must have our spiritual armor on at all times (Eph. 6:10-18). We must be united with God, and only God, knowing we come under His protection and promises (Phil. 2:2; Heb. 4:2; Psalm 91:1-3; Heb. 6:11-13). Remember always that God is in control and He is in the process of fulfilling His plan for this world (Isa. 25:1; Jer. 23:20). We do not want to get in the way of His plan. And, we certainly do not want to be stumbling blocks to anyone who is trying to enter the kingdom, because God is going to make a determination between the righteous and the wicked, the sheep and the goats, the wheat and the tares, the good fish and the bad fish, and the hearers of His word and the doers of His word (Matt. 18:7-9; Rev. 3:15-16; Matt. 23:13). He is making a determination between the ones who are civilized and those who choose not to be civilized (Mal. 3:18; Matt. 25:40-41; 13:37-38, 29-30, 48; James 1:22; John 5:29; Rom. 2:7). The faith of those who have good works is not dead, but alive (James 2:14-26)! Doing good is what makes people civilized. Stay close to God, stay in prayer and study your Bible daily to remind yourself of the truth of His Ways (James 4:8; 1 Thess. 5:17; 2 Tim. 2:15; 2 Pet. 1:13; 2 Pet. 3:1). If you come out of the world and are separate, standing with the Lord, you will be His and He will be yours (2 Cor. 6:16-18). It will surely serve you well in the end (Eph. 4:1-3; 1 Tim. 1:5; Matt. 25:21). wholewheatonline.com Search How to Be a Good Person Our Father in heaven wants us to be good sons and daughters for Him. He wants us to respect Him. He wants us to love Him wholeheartedly (Deut. 6:5). He wants us to stop swearing, so we will not bring curses upon ourselves. He wants us to stop dwelling on what is evil, because those evil thoughts will eventually become evil actions. He wants us to practice moderation in all things, because He does not want us to hurt ourselves. He wants us to do good things that help us, instead of bad things that can harm us (Deut. 6:18, 24). He wants us to stay out of trouble, by engaging in good and productive things (Titus 3:14). What better way could there be, to do good things, than to help those who are in need? By helping the blind, the lame, the sick and the elderly, we learn to care for others in need (Luke 14:13-14; 10:37). We learn to be sensitive to the needs of others. We learn compassion, forgiveness, patience, kindness, goodness, joy, faithfulness, gentleness, and most of all, how to love our neighbor. These are the fruits of the Spirit, which come from serving others in a godly way every day (Gal. 5:22-24). Remember, the greatest in the kingdom will be the servant of the most (Matt. 25:33-40; 23:11; Mark 9:35; 10:43-44)! • Learning How to Overcome Evil | Daily Grains

Learning How to Overcome Evil Are you trying to be a good person? Are you trying not to drink too much, swear, smoke or overeat? Are you trying to stop thinking filthy thoughts? Is there some other bad habit you are trying to control? Do you ever catch yourself doing something good to cover up something bad you just did? Do you give to this or that fund from time to time so you can say that you are not all bad? Do you have some good days and some bad days, but things are looking down more than they are looking up for you? Well, maybe you are going about it the wrong way. Maybe you are going at it your way instead of God’s Way. You cannot overcome evil by avoiding evil. You might be able to subdue it for a while, but evil will eventually win in most cases. You must overcome evil by doing good for God daily. You must make sure that you are not doing your good to be noticed by others. Instead, you must do all that you do in secret, and in the name of Jesus Christ, for the glory of the Father. Continue being zealous in doing good for God every day. Continue in the godly process of overcoming your nature until Christ has been formed in you and you are a new creature. You will be made complete and perfect by God the Father, the same as Jesus Christ, our example, was made perfect. Depart from evil and do good, so you will abide forever. Psalm 37:27 Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be noticed by them; otherwise you have no reward with your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 6:1 For, the one who desires life, to love and see good days, must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit.11 He must turn away from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it. 1 Peter 3:10-11 Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered. 9 And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation. • Walk in the Light | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Walk in the Light What does the expression "walk in the light" as found in 1 John 1:7 mean? Light and darkness have always been used to represent good and bad, right and wrong, righteousness and lawlessness. Walking in the light is doing good, whereas walking in the dark is doing evil. Avoiding doing what is bad is not being good. Refraining yourself from doing evil is good only when it is connected with a life of doing good for God. You see, to overcome character weakness, you must be engaged in building character strengths, because you overcome evil by doing good (Rom. 12:21). Now, God knows human nature is lazy, indifferent, contentious, slothful and evil. It wants to do what is good but is unable. This is because the pull for evil inside is greater than the pull for good. So a plan had to be devised in which all could have an opportunity for Salvation - the lonely, the rich, the noble, the lame and the blind - everyone! The god of the carnal heart, Satan, had to be crushed and removed from the heart, and only God could do that (Rom. 16:20). The desire to do good had to be strengthened, and only God could do that. Godly character had to be built, and only God could do that (1 Cor. 3:7). Human nature had to be perfected, and only God could do that (1 Peter 5:10). But what could man do for his part? Repent! Repent means be willing to change your ways. Change your ways to God’s Ways. How? By disciplining yourself to perform acts that please God daily. Is it hard? Jesus Christ said His Way is easy and pleasant and a child would not have any trouble performing it daily (Matt. 11:30). When you walk in the light as Jesus Christ did by only living to please the Father, you are obeying Jesus Christ and will be sprinkled with His blood (1 Peter 1:2). The blood of Jesus Christ will then cleanse you from all your sins (1 John 1:7). Jesus Christ bore our sins in His body so we might die to our sinful natures by living a righteous life (1 Peter 2:24). We prove that we are God’s children by practicing righteousness daily for God (1 John 3:7, 10). The one who does good daily for God is of God (3 John 11). This good is done daily by sharing food and clothes with widows and orphans (Heb. 13:16; Luke 3:11; James 1:27). This good is done by acts and words of kindness and charity - to the blind, the lame, the old, the young, your wife, your children, your folks - all done in the name of our precious Lord and Master, and soon to return King, Jesus Christ (Acts 9:36; Col. 3:17). • How Do We Live to the Spirit? | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search How Do We Live to the Spirit? In Galatians 5:16, the Apostle Paul says that disciples of Jesus Christ should walk by the Spirit so they do not carry out the desires of the flesh. It seems evident that Jesus Christ, our Savior, walked by the Spirit, because He did not carry out the desires of the flesh, which is sin. To walk by the Spirit is to live to the Spirit, and that Spirit is God (John 4:24). You walk in the Spirit by walking in the commandments. This is what a disciple of Jesus Christ is expected to do (2 John 6). These commandments are not burdensome to keep (1 John 5:3). In fact, they are easy and pleasant to keep (Matt. 11:28-30). They are not the commandments of Moses, but rather the Way of life that Jesus came to tell us about, as found in Matthew, chapters 5, 6 and 7—the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus says anyone who lives this Way and teaches it to others will be called great in the kingdom of heaven (Matt. 5:19). In order to keep this Way, you must act upon the words of Jesus Christ (Matt. 7:24; Luke 8:21; 11:28). If you look at some of the more modern Bible translations, you will see the phrases, “puts them into practice”; “who hear and practice the word of God”; and “put it into practice.” Yes, God wants you to practice the truth because that’s the key to finding out what the truth or light is (John 3:21). The truth is the sayings of Christ, which we are to put into practice daily in our lives (John 12:47). Those sayings represent the Will of God. You must be willing to do God’s Will in order to understand the teaching (John 7:17). You will be putting to death the deeds of the body as you live to the Spirit (Rom. 8:13). Living to the Spirit, then, is overcoming your evil, human nature by practicing the deeds of Christ (Rev. 2:26). We must overcome evil by doing good and by being zealous for good deeds (Rom. 12:21; 1 Peter 3:13). We must do these deeds in the name of Christ, which allows God to crush our satanic nature and put it under our control (Col. 3:17; Rom. 16:20). That is fighting the good fight of faith and that’s living by the Spirit (2 Tim. 4:7; Rom. 8:14). • It's Later Than You Think | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search It's Later Than You Think For the coming of the Son of Man will be just as the days of Noah (Matt. 24:37-38). People were still going about their business as usual. No one expected anything to happen. In other words, it came upon the whole world as a snare, a trap. Will Jesus Christ’s return come upon us at the end of this age as a snare? Luke 21:34-35 says, yes, indeed it will. Not only will it come upon this present-day society as a trap, but God’s word also states He is going to do things in our day that we would not believe, even if someone described them to us (Acts 13:41). Yes, if someone would describe them to the people, they would mock and scoff at that person and as a result, they will perish. Many say, “I would not scoff.” Well, here is your chance to find out. What else was going on in the days of Noah shortly before the flood—when all of mankind came into judgment and perished, with the exception of Noah and his family? God’s word says angels assumed a physical form, came down to earth and mated with human women (Gen. 6:4). Were these good angels or evil angels? God’s word says in Jude 6 and 7 that these were evil angels who did not keep their proper abode, but interfered in man’s affairs, and as a result, are going to be destroyed in the lake of fire along with their ruler, Satan, the devil (Matt. 25:41; Rev. 20:10). Is this happening again today? Very shortly, the man of sin, as he is called, will be revealed to the inhabitants of this world. He is also called the son of destruction, the man of lawlessness (2 Thess. 2:3). This “world teacher” who possesses all the powers of Satan. God’s word mentions this individual in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12. God is restraining this individual now, until the time when he will be revealed (2 Thess. 2:6-8). He will rule this earth for three and one-half years after this time. This beast will then be seized along with the false prophet—his side kick. They will be the first two to be destroyed by the Lord in the lake of fire when He returns shortly (Rev. 19:20). Notice what Revelation 12:12 says: “Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time.” When did Satan come down to earth? Revelation 12:7-9 says it was after a war was fought in heaven. What is happening in our skies now? The mystery of lawlessness mentioned in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 are those who cause an apostasy, a falling away from the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to the god of paganism. The god of paganism is the god of this world, Satan. In the Bible, he is called “the beast” because his body is not human and his spirit is that of Satan. We advise people not to watch this man when he appears on television and makes his declaration to the world, because he is coming with all the power and authority of Satan (Rev. 13:2, 6-8). The whole world will eventually be deceived into worshiping him and taking his mark (666) or his name upon their right hand or forehead (Rev. 13:3-4, 16-18). Now is the time to prepare! Now is the time to repent! Now is the time to make all your ways pleasing to God, in thought, word and deed. Now is the time to seek God by studying His word daily. Now is the time to imitate Him by practicing His Ways in your life and stay true to Him until the end (Eph. 5:1). Our Lord Jesus Christ declared, we must overcome the satanic pulls of our evil natures by keeping and doing the deeds of Jesus Christ and enduring to the end (Rev. 2:26; Rom. 2:7; Eph. 2:10; John 14:12). If the greatest in the kingdom will be the servant of the most, then what’s going to happen to those who will not serve others for the Lord now? Remember always, it is the sheep who inherit the kingdom because on a daily basis, they serve others who need help, as Jesus Christ gave them example to do. They do all manner of righteous deeds in their daily lives for the Lord, whether in word or deed, as they are commanded to do (Col. 3:17). In short, the Lord’s true disciples only live to do good, as Jesus said we should. They feed the hungry, give clothes to those in need, visit the sick, invite in those who need a place to stay and visit those who are in prison (Matt. 25:33-40). All their deeds are done for the Lord, not for their own glory (Matt. 5:16). They are continual doers of the Lord’s words, and they are the ones who will abide forever because they are daily doers of God’s Will (John 8:51; 1 John 2:17). They perform God’s Will daily on earth as it is being done in heaven (Matt. 7:21; 6:10). How ridiculous are the words of the false prophets who say there is nothing to do to be accepted by God. True repentance is a glorious new life that one lives, a life of righteous good works done to please the Lord. If you are not living it, then you’re not accepted by God (2 Thess. 1:5; Matt. 25:41). Even the thief on the cross could pray for others and for the forgiveness of his sins. If he would have been taken down from that cross, he would have been required to live as a follower of Jesus Christ. He had a good excuse why he couldn’t physically live the righteous life, but we who are free do not. Ask yourself: 1.What did I do for the Lord yesterday to please Him (John 8:29)? 2.What did I do today to please the Lord (Col. 3:17)? 3.What do I plan to do tomorrow that will please the Lord (Eccl. 10:2; Prov. 16:9)? The answers to these questions let you know who you are living for, the Lord or the god of this world, Satan. In the dictionary, the word “godless” implies a simple definition of one who leaves God out of his life. Now is the time to repent and live the righteous life so you will not perish along with those who worship the beast and receive his mark. It is most definitely later than you think! • The Benefits of Repentance | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search The Benefits of Repentance God has promised many good things to those who repent and live to please Him every day in all they think, do, and say (2 Chron. 16:9). There are many ways we can please God in our daily lives. We please God when we hold no ill-will toward our fellow man (1 Cor. 13:5). God commands us never to pay back evil for evil but do good to those who mistreat us (Prov. 20:22; Luke 6:35; Matt. 5:44). Never argue with anyone since that, too, is a form of paying back evil for evil (Titus 2:9; 1 Tim. 6:4). Living a charitable life, serving others in need and just showing love to everyone at all times, is living a repentant life before God (1 Cor. 13:2; Matt. 25:33-40). God blesses us tremendously when we truly repent. If you repent, God will: • Forgive your sins (Acts 2:38). • Answer your prayers (1 John 3:22; James 1:6). • Heal your diseases (Matt. 4:23). • Make sure you have food and clothes (1 Tim. 6:8). • Protect you from harm and protect your possessions (Prov. 12:21). • Protect you in war (Job 5:20). • Feed you in times of famine (Prov. 10:3). • Give you eternal life (Gal. 6:8). • Reward you double for all you do for Him on earth in Jesus Christ’s name (Zech. 9:12). • Repay your enemies (Heb. 10:30). • Bless you in all that you put your hand to do (Gen. 17:6). • Be your friend (John 15:14). • Perfect you in all your ways (1 Peter 5:10). • Allow you to live longer (Prov. 10:27; 2 Kings 20:5-6). • Resurrect you when He returns and give you a glorified body (1 Cor. 15:52). • Bring you a suitable mate (Gen. 24:7, 12-19). • Bless your children (Prov. 14:26; Is. 44:3). • Give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4). • Give you abundance (Luke 6:38; Mal. 3:10). • Promote you in your career and give you power to get wealth (Eccl. 5:19). • Protect you when you stumble (1 Pet. 1:4-6). • Make your enemies be at peace with you (Prov. 16:7). • Make a way where there is no way (Mark 10:27). The list could go on and on. The more zealous we become in serving God, the more He blesses us. Yes, He will test our motives for doing good to make sure we are not doing good for selfish reasons (Matt. 6:1). Our repentance must come from our hearts and when it does, the blessings come pouring down from the Father above (Mal. 3:10; Luke 6:38)! God’s Ways of repentance are truly easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30).❑ PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME All About the Bible PDF © 2025 Whole Wheat International
