wholewheatonline.com Search Believe it or Not If you have been given ears to hear, and if you are being called of God, if you are being drawn by God’s Spirit, then there is indeed good news for you (Matt. 13:14-17; Acts 2:47; John 6:44, 65-66). Believe it or not, Jesus Christ came to bless you, by showing you how to turn from your wicked ways (Acts 3:26). The only reason you weren't living a blessed life before is your sins were withholding God’s blessings from you (Jer. 5:25). Jesus wants to make a change for the good in your life. He wants you to live the rest of your life to please Him and no longer do what is pleasing to yourself. He says if you will do this, He will bless you, answer your prayers, heal your sicknesses, forgive all your sins—even the sins of your father and grandfathers the sins you are paying for that go three or four generations back (Ex. 20:5; Num. 14:18). What a deal, and that’s not all. There is more. God will give you eternal life. He will resurrect you from the grave, should you die while living the good life, which is the God life. Yes, if you will but begin to imitate the Lord in your life and use His Spirit that He will give to you freely to live this wonderful life-changing Way, you’re on your way (Acts 5:32). God has even made a provision, when necessary, in the last days to bypass the need for a person to lay hands on you for His Spirit. All you need do is ask Him to give it to you (Luke 11:13). In regard to baptism, you can have a good friend baptize you by fully submersing you in a swimming pool, hot tub, lake, etc. (Matt. 28:19). God’s Spirit is a Spirit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Gal. 5:22-23). All these qualities can be summed up in the word charity (Luke 11:41). This is what the Lord wants you to practice towards others until He has a chance to form His new nature in you (Gal. 4:19). The Lord wants you to learn to be a servant of others so that you can rule with Him in a few short years and teach the nations of this earth righteousness (Rev. 2:26-27; Is. 2:2-4; Micah 4:1-3). The Lord wants you to learn to be a servant of others, so that you can be an example to society and perhaps lead others to His Ways by doing so (Titus 2:7). But first we must discipline ourselves for the purpose of godliness daily (1 Tim. 4:7; 6:3; Titus 1:1) so that we might be found worthy to help God in the end (Rev. 19:14-15). If we are being called to be a kingdom of priests to reign on this earth, what are we waiting for (Rev. 5:10)? It is time to learn how to serve others and learn righteousness by doing so (Is. 1:16-20; Rom. 15:2-3; Matt. 20:26-28; Mark 9:35). This is how we will abide forever (Psalm 37:27; 1 Peter 3:10-11; Rom. 12:21; Rev. 2:26). What are you waiting for? Begin a life in service to God by: • Studying God’s word each and every day (Acts 17:11; 2 Tim. 2:15). • Learning to apply it in every way. • Praying for your needs and the needs of others (1 Thess. 5:17; Col. 4:2; James 5:16). Then, keep pleasing the Lord and He will answer your prayers (1 John 3:22; John 9:31; 8:51). - Your Relationship With God | Daily Grains
Your Relationship With God Noah was the only person God found who was practicing righteousness in his day. Noah stood alone before God. He didn’t need a church, nor did he depend upon a body of people to provoke him weekly to do good for God. Noah was mature in his walk with God. His relationship was complete. How is your personal relationship with God? God is making stand-alone disciples. He wants us to be stimulated to more love and good works daily, drawing near to Him through personal Bible study. He wants us to seek Him with all our heart and develop our one-to-one relationship with Him, maturing in our faith, so we are able to stand alone; going to Him for all our needs and learning to discern His voice. Will you help Him and learn to stand alone? If you do, you will be the apple of God’s eye, His trusted servant, the one whom He loudly proclaims, “This is my beloved son (or daughter) in whom I am well pleased.” God is, and always will be, your friend because you cared enough for Him to have Jesus Christ formed in you. When you are fully trained, you will be like your Teacher, because you have been taught by Him. Now, you will be able to stand. Then the Lord said to Noah, “Enter the ark, you and all your household, for you alone I have seen to be righteous before Me in this time.” Genesis 7:1 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the oracles of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food. 13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an infant. 14 But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil. Hebrews 5:12-14 For when He received honor and glory from God the Father, such an utterance as this was made to Him by the Majestic Glory, “This is My beloved Son with whom I am well-pleased”. 2 Peter 1:17 A pupil is not above his teacher; but everyone, after he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher. - Understanding Baptism | Bible Studies
wholewheatonline.com Search Understanding Baptism Believe it or not, in order to understand the subject of baptism a person needs to understand the word “fruits.” Colossians 1:10 says that we are to please the Lord in every respect, bearing fruit in every good work. The logical conclusion, then, is that fruits are good works and God in heaven is glorified by our good works (Matt. 5:16). True disciples of Jesus Christ let their lights shine and are godly examples to others by their good works. Titus 2:7 says, “In all things be an example of good works.” The theme of “works” or “fruits” is repeated many times in the Bible as a condition for true repentance. “Bring forth fruits in keeping with your repentance” (Matt. 3:8; Luke 3:8). People asked John the Baptist, “Then what shall we do?” (Luke 3:10). John told them to engage in a life of doing good works (Luke 3:11). Paul told ministers to constantly tell people to be careful to engage in good works for God’s glory (Titus 3:8). “Repent and turn to God, performing deeds appropriate to repentance” (Acts 26:20). It’s abundantly clear, then, that good works are necessary in order to repent, or live a life of repentance. Yet, very few people understand this concept. Once you understand fruits are works, it’s easy to understand what James is talking about in James 2:14-26. He is discussing the same message of repentance. John says the same thing in 1 John 3:18-19. You turn to God and seek Him by doing good (Rom. 3:10-12; 2:7). When you do good works for repentance, you become a doer of the law and become justified by the blood of Christ. You are a true sheep (Rom. 2:13; James 1:22-25, 27). To do God’s Will is to live a life of doing good for God in Christ’s name, and not to get weary (Heb. 13:16-21; Col. 3:17; Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13). Doing the same kind of good works as Christ did, for Christ, is how you overcome evil (Rev. 2:26; Rom. 12:21). Simple, isn’t it? And Jesus says it’s very easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30). The lowly know it is easy and pleasant (1 Cor. 1:26-28). If you are now practicing this godly way of life and have put your hand to the plow, which represents a life of doing good works for God, and you are determined not to desire your old way of life again, then you are ready to be baptized. You have truly counted the cost, and you have truly repented because you are living the repentant life. You are now imitating Christ and the Father (1 Cor. 11:1; Eph. 5:1). Educate yourself on the subject of baptism, through the articles on our website. Then, be baptized, as Jesus Christ was by John the Baptist in the Jordan River. (Matt. 28:19). Then, simply ask the Lord in prayer for His Holy Spirit and He will give it to you. You may even ask the Lord for a confirmation that He has given you His Spirit and He will give you that sign (Luke 11:13). Go directly to Jesus Christ in prayer (John 5:40). Now, study God’s word daily to show yourself approved to God so that God can teach you how easy it is to put His words into daily practice in your life (2 Tim. 2:15; 3:16; Matt. 11:30). Continue living the life of a servant toward others daily and overcome the evil in you by continually doing good for God (Mark 9:35; Psalm 34:14; 37:27). Pray always that you will be found worthy to escape what is about to come upon the world (Mal. 3:16-17; Rev. 12:14; Is. 2:10). Finally, do not get weary in doing good for God (2 Thess. 3:13; Gal. 6:9; Titus 2:7, 14; 3:8; Matt. 5:16). Do not be like many who profess His name, but deny Him by the way they continue to live (Titus 1:16). Instead, you will be rescued because your name is written in the book (Dan. 12:1). - The Importance of Studying Your Bible | Daily Grains
The Importance of Studying Your Bible Part of the Will of God is to study the Bible. Many who study the Bible, study for information rather than correction. Disciples of Jesus Christ are admonished not to be foolish, but understand what the Will of God is. It appears that people who claim to be His disciples today are least informed about this aspect of spiritual and godly living. God’s word says that all Scripture is profitable for teaching, reproof, correction and training in how to practice righteousness, so that the man of God may know how to do good to please God. How many people have studied the life of Christ for many years, but have never started to live like Him? We are to imitate Jesus Christ and the Father by daily practicing the sayings of Jesus Christ. Jesus’ words will judge all humanity at the end of the age. The central teaching of the Bible is to engage in a life of good deeds, endure and not become weary in well-doing, and overcome our evil natures by doing good deeds. If this is the kind of peculiar people Christ is making for Himself—and He is—we should then be studying the Bible to train ourselves in righteousness. Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Ephesians 5:17 For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. Colossians 1:9 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ. 1 Corinthians 11:1 If anyone hears My sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day. John 12:47-48 And having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. 19 I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, resulting in further lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness, resulting in sanctification. Romans 6:18-19 Who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds. - Loving Your Neighbor | Bible Studies
wholewheatonline.com Search Loving Your Neighbor Everyone knows they should love their neighbor as themselves and that it is the second greatest commandment of God (Matt. 22:39). It is called the royal law in God’s word in James 2:8 (Luke 10:27). The whole law of God is fulfilled in this one word, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself” (Gal. 5:14; Rom. 13:9). Many songs have been written about loving your neighbor. “What the world needs now is love sweet love,” go the words of one song. But this is what is not realized by many today—it is physically impossible to love your neighbor with human nature. Man’s inhumanity, towards man, has never been greater. The proof is: Look at the sad shape the world is in today. Everywhere you look, there is violence. What few know or realize is that Jesus Christ came to this earth to show us how to love our neighbor, but with His Spirit within us. It is done through living spiritual lives with God’s Spirit in us and no longer living to the flesh with its evil passions and desires (Gal. 5:24). Jesus came to show us how we could get rid of our old natures by rending our hearts to the Lord and getting rid of the old leaven, which represents sin in our lives, and thus, be able to truly love our neighbors (Joel 2:12-13). This is done by practicing loving service to others, practicing righteousness and charity towards others continually (acts of love—acts of kindness), and living to do only good to others for God and no longer doing evil towards others. We are no longer to live for self, but for others by putting them first, living to be servants of others, and thus, have the peace that comes from doing so (Matt. 23:11). You then have the peace of knowing you’re living like Jesus Christ gave you example to live and as a result, you are at peace with your Maker. As you practice doing good for others daily, God Himself teaches you how to love one another with His Spirit (1 Thess. 4:9). This process of loving others is how we purify our souls for God (1 Peter 1:22). This is the message we have heard from the beginning, that we are to love one another by serving one another from the heart (1 John 3:11; 2 John 4-6). This is how we are truly born again or born of God, and how God’s love is perfected in us (1 John 4:7, 12). This is how we become new creatures or creations (2 Cor. 5:17). This is also how we crucify the flesh with its evil passions and desires and live to the Spirit, which is the Lord (Gal. 5:24; Rom. 8:12-13; 2 Cor. 3:17). Living by your own ways and thinking your own thoughts is not good (Is. 65:2). It seems right, but it is not (Prov. 14:12; 16:25). God never meant for man to direct his own steps (Jer. 10:23). From the very beginning God has told man to live by every word of God and walk in His Ways. We are to live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord (Deut. 8:3). It is God who defines what is good and what is evil (Deut. 1:39). It is God who teaches man the Way he should live and how to love his neighbor as himself (Psalm 32:8; 143:8; Jer. 42:2-3; Eph. 2:10). A time is coming soon when great calamities will happen on this earth to all mankind, and unless those days were cut short, no life would be left on the earth (Matt. 24:21-22; Mark 13:19-20). God prophesied in Deuteronomy 4:3 that all these things would come upon the world in the latter days. People would then begin to return to the Lord and listen to His voice by studying His word for His truth, and begin to put it into practice in their daily lives. You can do so now by following these simple directions. Repent and turn to the Lord by doing acts of kindness daily towards others. Educate yourself with the articles on our website about baptism. Then once you understand the commitment involved in, be baptized as Jesus Christ was, when He was baptized by John the Baptist in the Jordan River (Matt. 3:13). This baptism represents the death of the old self with its sinful ways and the beginning of a new Way of life—the Way of righteousness—the Way of the Lord (Matt. 21:32; Acts 18:25). Ask God to give you His Holy Spirit and remember, He gives His Spirit only to those who obey Him by living like Him continually (Luke 11:13; Acts 5:32; 1 Peter 1:2; 1 John 1:6-7). You are now on your way. You are ready to love your neighbor as yourself by serving Him daily. Don’t forget, everyone who crosses your path is your neighbor. This Way is easy, pleasant and light (Matt. 11:30). God made sure it would be this way so that even the lowliest of people and uneducated could understand and live it. When calamities come, you may be found worthy and be rescued if and when necessary (Dan. 12:1; Mal. 3:16-17; Luke 21:36 King James Version). Take this precious opportunity and begin today. In these last days, the Lord has made provision for you to come directly to Him and ask Him for His Holy Spirit (Luke 11:13). Now you know how to love your neighbor as yourself, as well as how to show God love by doing so. The next step is yours. Always remember—God is watching us from a distance. Leaning on God's Wisdom Not Man's "This is pure and undefiled religion, to visit the widows and the orphans in their distress, and to keep oneself unspotted by the world." The people of this world are concerned about the things of this world. They are concerned about food, clothing and shelter. They are concerned about bigger homes, stock markets and the price of gold. They are concerned about what they read in the newspaper and what the weather is going to be from day to day. Most people worry about this and that, while the person who loves God has no such concerns. He knows that the Father will take care of all his needs because he has sought the kingdom first by subjecting himself to the righteousness of God, as Jesus Christ did. He knows the world is going the wrong way, but feels wonderful because he knows he is going the right way – God’s Way. He has been saved from this perverse generation. He is in God’s care now. He knows that if he lives to serve only God, as Jesus did, he will end up where Jesus is - with a new body that cannot die. He does not live for self any longer, but he lives totally for God by serving others. Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world. James 1:27 For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Matthew 6:25 And the one on whom seed was sown among the thorns, this is the man who hears the word, and the worry of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. Matthew 13:22 As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance. 1 Peter 1:14 Brethren, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God for them is for their salvation. 2 For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge. 3 For not knowing about God’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God. Romans 10:1-3 And with many other words he solemnly testified and kept on exhorting them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation!” Acts 2:40 Then Jesus said to him, “Go, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.’" Matthew 4:10 Let no one seek his own good, but that of his neighbor. 1 Corinthians 10:24 PREV NEXT Click below for full Bible Study: What is Worldly is Not Godly

- How Do We Overcome Evil? | Bible Studies
wholewheatonline.com Search How Do We Overcome Evil? God created the earth (Gen. 1:1). He created man with free will. He told man to obey Him so He could bless him. But man refused to obey, so God told man that he would live a cursed life apart from God (Gen. 3:6, 17). Cain refused to obey God and chose, rather, to live for himself and do what he thought was good (Is. 48:17). By choosing the way of self and leaving God out of his life, he did evil deeds (1 John 3:12). One of his evil deeds was killing his brother because his brother was practicing good deeds for God. Cain was cursed for not practicing righteousness to please God (Gen. 4:7, 11). Cain was of the devil (1 John 3:12). Enoch walked with God, which means he lived as God lives (Gen. 5:22). He imitated God by practicing righteousness and doing good works to glorify God (Matt. 5:16). He did his Father's Will in heaven instead of his own will (Matt. 6:10). Enoch was God's friend because he practiced righteousness instead of the evil deeds of the flesh. He walked with God, which means he kept God's Ways. Noah practiced righteousness to please God and overcame his old nature (Gen. 6:9). He was considered righteous, blameless, complete, holy, upright, saintly, godly, and any other nice words you want to use to describe him. Noah was a preacher of righteousness (2 Peter 2:5). He couldn't have been a preacher of righteousness unless he practiced righteousness daily for God. Abraham brought up his family to practice righteousness (Gen. 18:19). So did Moses. He asked God about that special Way he could live to please Him (Ex. 33:13). God told him that Way and he kept it (Heb. 3:5). Daniel overcame evil by doing good for God and told the king the same message (Dan. 4:27). Job practiced righteousness for God and there are long lists of how he did it (Job 1:1; 29:12-17). Jesus Christ did good works to please the Father by doing only the Father's Will, which is doing good. He was serving God by serving others for the glory of God (Rom. 15:2-3). Jesus told us to do all the things He did. He said to help others zealously in His name for the Father's glory (1 Peter 3:13; Matt. 5:16). When we do this, we are able to overcome evil and God will be faithful to bless us for all the good we do in His name on a daily basis (Rom. 12:21; Heb. 6:10). Has God started to bless you yet (Matt. 16:27; Rom 2:6-7; Rev. 2:23; 22:12)? Why not start living God's Way today? - Narrow is the Way | Bible Studies
wholewheatonline.com Search Narrow is the Way True discipleship is a Way of life. It is not only called the Way, but it is also called the Way of holiness and the Way of righteousness (Matt. 21:32). Sometimes the Way is called a gate or a door (Luke 13:24). Jesus is the door, the bread, the Way, the truth and the life (John 10:9; 6:41, 48; 14:6). The Way is also called the Way of truth (2 Peter 2:2). This truth must be practiced in order to enter the light (John 3:21). The light, then, is the good life and the good life is the God life or the Way that God lives. No wonder true disciples are told to imitate God, speak like God and discipline themselves for the purpose of godliness (Eph. 5:1; 1 Cor. 11:1; 1 Peter 4:11; 1 Tim. 4:7; 6:3; Titus 1:1). We are to walk in Jesus Christ’s steps (1 Peter 2:21; 1 John 2:6). Jesus said that the ones who believed in Him would be doing the same works, and even greater works than He did, because His earthly ministry was cut short (John 14:12). Jesus’ faith had works. When you keep Jesus’ works by doing the same, you overcome the flesh with its evil passions and desires (Gal. 5:24). And if you endure to the end, Jesus Christ will grant you to sit with Him and rule the nations of this earth with a rod of iron (Rev. 2:26; 5:10). Jesus’ Way is easy and pleasant (Matt. 11:30). It is the Way to peace (Luke 1:79; Rom. 3:17). It is the Way of the Lord (Psalm 18:21). We are to walk in the Way or walk in the truth (2 John 4, 6). We are to walk in good works (Eph. 2:10). We are to be careful to engage in good works, for the one who actively, continually does good is of God (Titus 3:8; 1 Peter 2:12; 3 John 11). And the one who will not practice righteousness by doing good is not of God (1 John 3:7, 10, 18). Simple isn’t it? God is sorting out those who will be the doers of the word and those who will remain hearers (James 1:22, 27). The ministers of Christ’s day, called religious Pharisees, would not so much as lift a finger in regard to doing any good for God (Matt. 23:4). They did all their deeds to be noticed by men (Matt. 23:5). True doers of good works for God are cautioned to have the right attitude (Matt. 6:1-6). They are told to pray in secret and give in secret. How far removed from the truth of God many are today! It is a good thing there is a tomorrow, so we can immediately correct the situation. Be a sheep and do not continue to be a goat (Matt. 25:33-46). Do all that you do in good works or good words (cheering up those in hospitals, in nursing homes, or those who are depressed) in the name of Jesus Christ daily, and begin to subject yourself to the righteousness of God (Rom. 10:3). However, you must abide in Him in order for the Spirit of truth to teach you (1 John 2:28; John 14:16-17). Notice, Jesus was referring to Himself in John 14:18 and 2 Timothy 2:7. Abiding in Jesus means obeying Him and living the Way He has instructed us to live. Jesus received these instructions from the Father and they are the directions to eternal life (John 6:63; 12:49-50). Not only does the anointing teach us, it also causes our spiritual growth and our change of character from that of our old nature to His new nature formed in us (1 Cor. 3:7; Col. 2:19). It is God who teaches us how to love one another (1 Thess. 4:9). All these things occur when we are obedient to God and we don’t grieve the Spirit of God in us by doing what is wrong. God commands us to love one another (John 15:12, 17; 1 John 3:10, 14, 23; 4:7-8, 11, 16, 20-21). He wants us to practice loving one another so the Spirit that dwells in us can teach us how to love as God loves (1 Thess. 4:9). Over many years, God has given us an opportunity to learn and practice His principles in different ways, with the various people that come in and out of our lives. Sometimes He can bring people in your life for the sole purpose of teaching you His principles, as well as to test you and your loyalty to Him, His Spirit and His truth. Some people struggle and many cannot receive the strong things of God because they remain spiritually immature and half committed or lukewarm. God gives people time to repent. God is patient toward us, that none whom He has called should perish (1 Peter 3:9; Acts 2:47; 13:48). However, there is an end to His patience (Luke 13:8-9). The reason people cannot receive meat is that they are still fleshly (1 Cor. 3:2-3). They are still living to the flesh, still living in the world and still holding on to their old ways. These are people who are not fully committed. They are lukewarm, inconsistent and still living to please self and not God in some areas of their lives. They are “hold outs” for God because they are holding back from being totally committed and totally of one mind with Christ. They find fault, in whatever way they can, so they can hold back. They are suspicious, and remain so because then they do not have to give their hearts totally to God, and thus, to those whom God has called. It is an awesome responsibility to make a people prepared to meet the Lord (Luke 1:17). We strive to do that every day here at Whole Wheat, to provoke and stimulate you to more love and good deeds continually (Heb. 10:24). If that does not happen and there is no one ready, God will destroy the earth with a curse (Mal. 4:6). The word “curse” is defined in Strong’s Concordance, 2764a and 2763a in the Hebrew is translated and defined as: a doomed object, exterminated, utterly destroyed, appointed to destruction. So, let’s get behind and support God’s message! Let’s help promote God’s message and get behind those who tirelessly push ahead for the meeting of the great day of God Almighty. We must discard these bodies of flesh for spiritual bodies. We must perfect the spiritual life of Christ Jesus in them by living to the Spirit, which is doing good only for God. It is no longer living to the flesh because living to the flesh is doing evil, which is Satan’s will (Rom. 8:13; 2 Tim. 2:26). God teaches you and causes you to grow when you obey His word and with the anointing of His Spirit, He will give you strength to endure all things as you honor Him and the example of His Son by living righteously each day, overcoming evil by doing good (1 Cor. 3:7; 1 Pet. 4:11; John 3:36; Rom. 12:21). - How to Receive Answered Prayer | Bible Studies
wholewheatonline.com Search How to Receive Answered Prayer One of the many blessings that comes from living the new life in Christ is answered prayer (Rom. 6:4). Because we live only to please God every day by performing God’s Will in our lives, we assure our hearts before God and we can ask in prayer without doubting (John 9:31; 1 John 3:18-19; James 1:6). We know He considers us righteous because we practice righteousness for God (1 John 3:7). And we know He hears the prayers of the righteous (1 Peter 3:12; Prov. 15:29). We practice living as Jesus Christ lived and as the Father lives by keeping the sayings of Christ (1 Cor. 11:1; Eph. 5:1; John 12:47; Luke 8:21). We also control our thoughts and the words we speak so that they are pleasing to God (1 Peter 4:11). But most of all, we use the members of our bodies as instruments of righteousness (Rom. 6:13; 1 Peter 3:11-12). We practice righteousness constantly to please God and to produce good fruits for Him (1 John 2:29; 3:10; John 15:8). The good fruits we produce on our spiritual trees are good works (Col. 1:10; Matt. 3:10; 7:17-20; Phil. 1:11). By conforming to godliness and by practicing righteousness, we allow God the Father to reveal His Son Jesus Christ in us (John 14:23; Gal. 1:16; 4:19). Keeping the commandments of Jesus Christ is not grievous, but very enjoyable (1 John 5:3; Matt. 11:30). It is the peaceful way that God created us to live (Jer. 10:23; Prov. 16:3; 20:24; Heb. 10:20, 24). We are at peace with ourselves because we are at peace with our Maker (John 17:13; 2 Thess. 3:16; Phil. 4:7). All we must do now is endure to the end (Matt. 10:22; 24:13; Rev. 2:26). We must remain loyal to God by remaining diligent and continuing to persevere in righteousness (Luke 21:19; Rev. 2:2-3, 19; Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13; Heb. 12:3). We have a purpose in life. We have found that purpose. We now know how to please God and complete our purpose by conforming our lives to His Way of life (1 Tim. 4:7; 6:3). Because we are seeking to please God in all our ways, we are abundantly blessed and our prayers are answered (Matt. 6:33; John 10:10; Mal. 3:10). - "You are saved by grace through faith." | Misconceptions VS. Truth
"You are saved by grace through faith." MISCONCEPTION: You are saved by grace, through faith, not of yourselves. It is the gift of God. THE TRUTH IS: The above statement is true, but only half true. What many do not realize is the Apostle Paul wrote some of the things he wrote in a hard-to-understand way, so he would trip up those who were false teachers, who were not called or taught by God personally. These untaught and unstable people would distort the true gospel to their own destruction. The Apostle Peter knew what Paul was doing and he mentioned it in 2 Peter 3:16. You are born by grace, you continue to live by grace, and when the time comes for you to be called by grace, then you must respond to that calling. God doesn’t need you, but you need God. God calls you to hear His truth either by opening your mind and drawing you with His Spirit, or by sending one of His servants to wherever you may be (John 6:44-65). Should there be no man of God around, the Lord will teach you Himself as you live for Him daily (John 6:45; 2 Tim. 2:7; 1 John 2:27). Now, the Lord Jesus is that Spirit which resides in us when we live to obey Him (1 Cor. 3:16; Acts 16:6-7). Notice while reading John 14:16-18, Jesus says, “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” If Jesus sends His servant, you should receive him, because when you do, you have received Jesus Christ (Matt. 10:40-42; John 13:20). In Jesus’ day, as well as today, only those who were receiving their chance for salvation knew the mysteries of the kingdom of God (Mark 4:11; Matt. 13:11). The knowledge of this profound mystery is given to us by grace through God’s Spirit. The mystery of the kingdom of God includes the answers to the following questions: What is the kingdom of God message? How do you enter the kingdom of God within? How do you repent? How do you do God’s Will? How do you overcome? How do you glorify God daily? How do you worship God in spirit and in truth? How do you keep and perform God’s Ways? God is not calling everyone to know His truth today, because this is not the only day of salvation (Heb. 3:7-8; Rev. 17:14). Consider these verses from God’s word: Acts 2:39, 47; 13:48; John 13:18; 5:21; Romans 11:7. When you are called by grace, God tells you the truth so that you may no longer live a disgraceful life before Him. God grants you the ability to repent by knowing His truth and allows you to know His Will so that you can be released from being held captive by Satan into doing his will (2 Tim. 2:26). In plain language, God allows you to know His Will so you can repent and know the truth. By knowing and living this truth, you become released from your old satanic nature of the flesh which represents Satan’s will, and thus you become reconciled to God by His grace (Rom. 16:20).
