  • What is the Reward of the Righteous? | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search What is the Reward of the Righteous? If all the rewards for being righteous were known, we would have many more people who would want to be disciples of Jesus Christ. "Who is the Almighty that we should serve Him?" (Job 21:15). What would we gain if we did? Is there any pleasure to the Almighty if you are righteous, or profit if you make your ways perfect (Job 22:3; Matt. 5:48)? You bet there is! The following are just a few examples: 1. God hears your prayers and delivers you from trouble (Psalm 34:17; James 5:16; Prov. 11:8). 2. The Lord will not allow the righteous to hunger in times of famine (Prov. 10:3). 3. You will be delivered from death (Prov. 11:4). 4. You will be rewarded with prosperity (Prov. 13:21). 5. You will be protected from harm (Prov. 12:21). 6. You are guaranteed answered prayer (Prov. 15:29; John 9:31). 7. You will be protected from a whole list of woes (Job 5:20-27). 8. God will save you from sickness (James 5:14; Psalm 41:3). The list goes on and on, but how can we be righteous in God’s eyes (Psalm 145:17-18)? The word of God says those who practice righteousness for God are righteous, even as God is righteous (1 John 3:7). It also says those who practice righteousness are truly born of Him (1 John 2:29). The righteous give and do not hold back (Prov. 21:26; Luke 6:38; Acts 20:35; Matt. 6:2). The righteous are concerned for the poor (Prov. 29:7). Compare Ezekiel 18:14, 16, 17, Job 29:12-16, and Job 31:16-23 with Matthew 25:35-36. God never changes. Compare Job 22:7 with Matthew 25:42-43. Yes, there is a Way of righteousness (Matt. 21:32). It is the Way all who love God live. We prove our love for God by the way we live (John 15:8). Now is the time to live like God by living for God, as Jesus Christ did, showing us His pure and simple Way (Eph. 5:1; John 6:38; 2 Cor. 11:3). • Picture Perfect: A Woman to Woman Article | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Picture Perfect: A Woman to Woman Article Have you ever been shopping and looked at beautiful pictures, perfectly framed? I love looking at pictures, especially of landscapes and flowers. I can get totally lost in a beautiful picture. It’s like being in another world or another space in time. There’s something very pleasant about this feeling. It’s filled with peace and tranquility. Think of your favorite painting or picture. How do you feel about it? Perfectly wonderful? God has painted His “picture perfect” Ways in His word. This picture has a focal point as does any beautiful painting. All the Scriptures compliment the focal point. One Scripture that points out this focal point is James 1:27. The key words in this Scripture are: Pure religion, undefiled. What is this “pure religion” all about? Pure religion was demonstrated by Jesus Christ when He walked on this earth. He was a continual example of kindness, goodness, peace, compassion and love towards others. Wherever He went, He did good for others. He expects us to imitate Him and do the same (Matt. 5:44). If everyone in this world really did imitate Jesus Christ, would their be crime? Would their be poverty? Would their be misery? God has called us to come out of this world, out of crime, misery and poverty into a life of kindness, goodness, compassion and love, which glorifies our heavenly Father above. He wants us to leave the old behind and put on His new nature. Second Corinthians 5:17 says: “Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.” Yes, new things—new ways—a brand new life! It is exciting, and it’s time to stop suffering because of sin (Jer. 5:25). There is a “better way” to live! That way is God’s Way, and it’s the Highway of Holiness that leads to happiness (Is. 35:8). Look around! How many happy people do you actually see in a day? When I go to the store, I see people who hate their jobs and could care less if they helped me. I smile and say something clever, or I just say, “Have a good day!” Most respond and come out of their inward shell. We are here on this earth to make a difference in people’s lives for the good. God is calling us to His pure religion of serving all who cross our path, including widows and orphans. Let’s paint our picture perfect Of God’s most precious Ways, By living just to please Him All of our days. Let’s paint our picture perfect Of God’s wonderful love, By serving all others Glorifying God above. Let’s paint our picture perfect Of God’s wonderful peace, By overcoming evil, Old ways then will cease. Let’s paint our picture perfect Of God’s wonderful deeds, And be a good example And thus, plant good seeds. • How Do We Imitate God? | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How Do We Imitate God? "The Lord is righteous in all His Ways and kind in all His deeds" (Psalm 145:17). The Lord is good to all (Psalm 145:9). He wants us to be like He is. To please God, we must imitate Jesus Christ in our daily behavior (Eph. 5:1; 1 Cor. 11:1). What did the Lord do that we should imitate? In the Bible, people asked the same question. "What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?" (John 6:28). Notice that the works of God Jesus performed were all done in the Father’s name (John 10:25). We are to do our works for God, in word and deed, in Jesus Christ’s name (Col. 3:17). That is what it means to believe in Jesus Christ, because the word believe means obey and adhere to the teachings of Jesus Christ (John 3:36). Jesus said He did nothing of His own will, but only what He saw the Father doing (John 5:19). What is the Father doing? Psalm 10:14 says God is the helper of the orphan. He provides out of His goodness to the poor (Psalm 68:10). He comes to the aid of the needy when they need help and He helps those who have no helper (Psalm 72:12). He has compassion on the poor and the needy (Psalm 72:13; 16:5). He executes justice for the oppressed. He gives food to the hungry and sets the prisoners free (Psalm 146:7). Remember, prisoners are not only those who are in jail, but those who continue to be enslaved to their old natures because they remain religiously deceived. The deeds mentioned here are the works of the Lord. Jesus performed these works in the Father’s name and we are to do the same. Job understood that this is what it means to please God and to be blameless in His sight (Job 29:12-16). Daniel knew this is how we please God and overcome our evil natures (Dan. 4:27). New Testament disciples were told to overcome evil by doing good deeds and to be careful to engage in doing good deeds (Rom. 2:7; 12:21; Titus 3:8; Eph. 2:10; 1 Peter 3:10-11, 13). This is how we bear fruit for Christ and prove to be His disciples (John 15:8; Col. 1:10). You will have to learn to do these things and by your patient perseverance, you will win your soul (Luke 13:24; 21:19). That perseverance is being zealous or enthusiastic for doing good, studying God’s word and praying. This is the armor of God (1 Peter 3:13; Eph. 6:11). ℹ️Study God’s word daily by subject. Pray for others and for your own needs. Do as much good as you can each day for God’s glory (Matt. 5:16). This is the way to be an overcomer for Jesus Christ and how you imitate God (Rev. 2:26). • The Kingdom Gospel | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search The Kingdom Gospel “This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a witness to all the nations, and then the end shall come” (Matt. 24:14). What is the gospel of the kingdom that is to be preached—the message that will determine when the end of this age will come and culminate with the return of Jesus Christ? The people of Jesus Christ’s day knew that there was a kingdom coming with signs to be observed. Jesus told them the signs of the end of the age. He said the sun would not give its light, the moon would look like blood and there would be signs in the heavens (Matt. 24:3, 29-30). When the Pharisees asked Jesus when that kingdom (with signs) was coming, He replied that He was not talking about a kingdom with signs to be observed, but one that was within them (Luke 17:20-21). The Pharisees were not entering that kingdom within (Matt. 23:13). Neither were they teaching people about the kingdom within, just like people today are not being told how to enter that kingdom. They had taken away the keys of knowledge from the people, so Jesus Christ gave those keys to Peter (Luke 11:52; Matt. 16:18-19). Those keys are the directions and the understanding of how to enter the kingdom within and become a new creature. In order to enter that kingdom, you have to study the Bible for yourself (Matt. 13:52). You must repent to enter that kingdom of God (Matt. 4:17). That kingdom is entered by performing daily acts of righteousness (Matt. 5:20). That kingdom is entered by doing God’s Will daily on earth as it is in heaven (Matt. 6:10; 7:21; 1 John 2:17). God’s Will is righteousness. Disciples of Jesus Christ are expected to imitate God on a daily basis by visiting the sick, caring for the poor, the elderly, the lame, the blind, the widows and the orphans, as Christ explained (Eph. 5:1; Matt. 25:33-46; 1 John 3:17-19). That’s what the true sheep—true believers—are doing. They are overcoming evil by just doing good daily (Rom. 12:21; 1 Peter 3:11; 2 Thess. 3:13). They are glorifying God daily with good works so their lights can shine bright (Matt. 5:16). Living a life of doing good for God daily is true repentance from a life of doing evil. Jesus said that His Way is easy and very pleasant (Matt. 11:30). God wants you to do good daily so He can bless you daily (Eph. 6:8). When you put your hand to the plow (the plow represents good works), you are to continue to do good until the God of peace crushes Satan under your feet and forms Christ’s new nature in you (Luke 9:62; Rom. 16:20; Gal. 4:19). Then you become complete, a new person, a new creation (Gal. 6:15). When you put to death the deeds of the body by living to the Spirit daily, you will eventually rest from all your works of the flesh and enter Christ’s rest (Rom. 8:13; Heb. 4:10). Jesus Christ is making a peculiar people who are zealous for good works (Titus 2:14). That is why His apostles told the people to engage in good deeds and not to get weary of doing them (Titus 3:8; Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13). This is how you force your way into the kingdom of heaven within (Luke 16:16). It is how you strive to enter the narrow door that few people find (Matt. 7:14; Luke 13:23-24). When you overcome evil by doing good daily, you resist Satan and enter the abundant life, which is filled with a peace that transcends all human understanding (Phil. 4:7, 9). “Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand [right now, as soon as you hear this message,” John the Baptist, Jesus Christ, and the apostles proclaimed (Matt. 4:17). That kingdom is entered by keeping Jesus Christ’s works and overcoming a life of evil by engaging in a life of good works (John 14:12). Do you know of any other way to be good, than to do good (Rev. 2:26)? • How Do We Live For God? | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How Do We Live For God? God wants to bless you and He wants the best for you, which comes from living for God each day. God even loves His enemies. He does good to them. He blesses those who curse Him. He is a father to the needy, a friend to the lonely, the friendless and the lowly. Our Father in heaven is a helper to the orphan and the widow in need. He comes to the aid of the distressed and those who have no helper. Our Father in heaven is helping and serving mankind 24 hours a day, and He does this in secret, receiving no glory from men. God in heaven wants you to imitate Him by imitating Jesus Christ in your daily life (Eph. 5:1; 1 Cor. 11:1). You are to serve others zealously until God creates in you Christ’s new nature (Rom. 15:2-3; 1 Peter 3:13; Gal. 4:19). It will be a sacrifice on your part, but a sacrifice with which God will be well-pleased (Heb. 13:16). As a precaution against building self-righteousness, Jesus instructs you to do all that you do in word or deed in His name for the glory of the Father (Eph. 6:6; Matt. 5:16; 6:1; Col. 3:17). This will insure that you are subjecting yourself to the righteousness of God (Rom. 10:3). The God of righteousness will soon crush your old nature and put it under your control (Rom. 16:20). God will then reveal Jesus Christ’s new life in your flesh. As you continue to practice the righteous deeds that Christ did when He was here on earth, God will perfect you and strengthen you in this new and living Way (Heb. 10:20; 1 Peter 5:10). • What is Freedom? | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search What is Freedom? To Satan, freedom is doing what you want. How many wars have been fought for freedom? How many people in the past have died for freedom? With all the wars that have been fought for freedom, does the world enjoy peace? What does God’s word say about freedom and wars? James 4:1-4 talks about this; ‘What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you? Is not the source your pleasures [your self-interest] that wages war inside your body? You lust [covet] and do not have; so you commit murder. You are envious and cannot obtain [have your own way] so you fight and quarrel. Even when you pray to God for things, you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your own pleasures [because you want what you want for self]. You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? [When you continue to live selfish, inward lives, you are continuing to live like the world lives]. Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend to the world makes himself an enemy of God.’ [This, then, is the same as committing adultery against God.] Nations fight and kill each other for the same reasons—sin and human nature. Jesus was sent to this world to show man how to escape from this human nature, which has kept him enslaved by the devil. Man is being held captive by Satan to do his will (2 Tim. 2:26). Jesus said to seek the truth and you will be set free from your present nature which is evil, compared to God’s nature which is righteous and pure. Seek the truth [God’s word] and it will set you free from all religious error which grips the world. Seek the truth and it will set you free from Satan who has deceived the whole world (John 8:32; Rev. 12:9). By daily study of God’s word by subject, you not only can prove that God exists but also that He rewards those who diligently seek Him (Heb. 11:6). You will find God’s word to be a true history of man and that the world is full of pagan, godless lies, which are being taught to your children in schools and colleges. For example, your children are being taught that writing, and the writing of books, did not occur until a recent date and as a result, books were not available to people long ago. However, in Halley’s Bible Handbook, page 51, an article is written called: “Libraries in Abraham’s Day and Schools in Abraham’s Day.” We all know that Enoch wrote several books in his day, and he lived seven generations after Adam and Eve. That book of Enoch is still available today! Man’s thoughts are being controlled today; and he is being fed rubbish. 1 Corinthians 3:19 says that the knowledge of this world is foolishness to God. It is of the earth and is demonic (James 3:15). True knowledge comes from God above. When you obey God, He not only gives you true knowledge but also wisdom for the asking. Freedom comes from keeping laws—God’s laws. When you keep God’s laws, He protects you from harm, feeds you in times of famine, protects you from disease, blesses everything you put your hand to do, gives you a long life filled with joy, peace, prosperity and eternal life (Psalm 91:1-16; Deut. 30:15; Psalm 25:13; 37:11)! You keep God’s laws in the Spirit by continually doing good. Freedom comes from knowing the truth. Freedom comes from practicing the truth. Freedom comes from getting rid of your old evil nature and having Christ’s new nature (which He has waiting for you) formed in you (Gal. 4:19; 2 Peter 1:4). He who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. You love others and fulfill that law when you only live to do good to others and serve and help them whenever you have the opportunity. Being a servant of others is imitating Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 11:1; Rom. 15:2-3). Halley’s Bible Handbook also describes how Jesus Christ lived and gave us example to live. On page 20, it says: “As a man, He lived the most strangely beautiful life ever known. He was the kindest, tenderest, gentlest, most patient, most sympathetic man that ever lived. He loved people. He hated to see people in trouble. He loved to forgive. He loved to help. He wrought marvelous miracles to feed hungry people. For relieving the suffering He forgot to take food for Himself. Multitudes, weary, pain-ridden, and heart sick, came to Him, and found healing and relief. It is said of Him, and no other (John 21:25), that if all the deeds of kindness He did were written, the world could not contain the books. That is the kind of man Jesus was. That is the kind of Person God is. And, Jesus said that those who would be followers of His would do more deeds of kindness than He did (John 14:12)! It is this precious Way of life that Jesus came to show mankind, which is called the Way of righteousness. This is true freedom. It is also the directions to eternal life (John 12:47-50; Matt. 21:32). Jesus delivered to us the words of the Father, as He was prophesied to do in Deuteronomy 18:15 and 17-19. Anyone who will not obey Jesus’ words will be utterly destroyed from among the people in the future (Acts 3:23). I think Jesus was serious when He said that unless we repent and keep His words, we will perish (Luke 13:3, 5; John 8:51). • How to Do God's Will With Your Mind | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Do God's Will With Your Mind The word of God says, "This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice" and enjoy it (Psalm 118:24). Now, if you are going to have a good day and enjoy it, you must stop complaining about the weather. The weather is God's business and none of yours. Some other ingredients for having a good day include: cheering up people at work; helping people; consoling people; being friendly and understanding people. That means serving your brother and sister and that is being like Jesus Christ. Practice being positive. Unrestrained human nature practices being negative. It is counterproductive and degenerative. When your life is lived positively, then positive things begin to happen to you. If you are living negatively, which is normal but evil, sometimes you will not even recognize good things happening to you. Negativism, inwardness, selfishness, indifference, hate and murder are all brothers of destruction. This is why Christ said if you hate your brother, you are the same as a murderer (1 John 3:15). By practicing attitudes that are destructive, you cannot expect to live a constructive life. But when you are practicing attitudes that are constructive, such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control you are, in fact, practicing godliness, or imitating God (Gal. 5:23-24; Col. 1:10; Eph. 5:1). If we practice things that are not good in our daily lives, we will become increasingly evil, by nature. By continually practicing evil behavior, we become more like Satan, our earthly father (John 8:41, 44). But if we practice daily what is right, good, honorable, uplifting and pleasing in the sight of our heavenly Father, we will become more like our Father in heaven (1 John 3: 7-10). We will be living holy lives instead of unholy lives. We become what we are practicing to become - perfect (Matt. 5:48; 1 Peter 5:10). We are, by nature, sinners. God wants us to allow Him to change our nature to one of a saint. In order to do that, we must practice living saintly lives by changing our thoughts to godly thoughts. How many of us would want to see violence done to our children? Yet, we watch violence being done to other people’s children on television and vicariously enjoy it. If we did not enjoy it, we would not continue to watch it day after day. Do not be fooled. What you see with your eyes and hear with your ears affects what you think (Prov. 24:12, 29; 12:14). We are not to look at what is evil - violence, murder, rape, etc. (Psalm 34:13-14; 1 Peter 3:10-11). That includes any sport that is violent or anticipates violence. Anyone who loves violence is hated by God (Psalm 11:5). So let’s clean up what goes into our minds and guard those doors carefully, for what is in our minds has a lot to do with the condition of our hearts and what comes out of our mouths. "Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, think on these things." (Phil. 4:8). • Not All Miracles Are From God | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Not All Miracles Are From God Jesus Christ predicted false christs and false prophets would come and show great signs and wonders at the end of this age. False ministers have always been around. Many do not know that they are false ministers. They preach in the name of Jesus Christ, perform many miracles, and cast out demons in the name of Jesus Christ (2 Cor. 11:13-15; Matt. 7:22-23). Their gospel is simply incomplete. They teach religious traditions to lock in their unsuspecting followers. When they teach what man has made up, their worship of God is in vain (Mark 7:6-7). Notice also, they are workers of lawlessness, which means they are not getting rid of their evil natures (1 John 3:4). The one thing these false (Satan’s) ministers are not preaching is how to do the Will of God daily on earth, as it is being done in heaven (Matt. 7:21; 6:10). They remain blinded as to what that Will of God is, so they cannot overcome their evil natures (Eph. 5:17). Initially, the Apostle Paul did not know what God’s Will was and as a result, he was killing God’s own elect. He was zealous for God but his zeal was misdirected. His zeal was not in accordance with God’s Will. He and others went about establishing their own righteousness and their own religions (Rom. 10:2-3). God called Paul in his religious ignorance and appointed him to know His Will (Acts 22:14). Where there’s a will, there’s a way, and if we do not know God’s Will, we do not know God’s Way—how we should live to please God and overcome. Consequently, millions of those who seek God today have been led astray and are now going down the religious broad way that leads to destruction (Matt. 7:13). Jesus Christ Himself said there are very few who find the narrow Way (Matt. 7:14). How many people do you know who do God’s Will daily in their lives for repentance and the sake of overcoming, as it is being done in heaven (Matt. 6:10; Acts 26:20 NIV; Rom. 12:21; Ps. 37:27)? How many even know what that means? How many people do you know who actually become weary in doing good for others, as Jesus, our example, became weary at times (2 Thess. 3:13; Gal. 6:9)? There was a man named Simon Magus who practiced miracles through the use of magic. Satan and his demons make miracles happen to those who follow them (Acts 8:9-11). This man tried to buy the Holy Spirit from the Apostle Peter so that he could have power to do even greater miracles (Acts 8:12-24). A clergyman once said, “All miracles are from God.” If you believe that statement, you will believe the beast when he comes. The beast who is coming will have the power of Satan and will perform signs (miracles) and false wonders (2 Thess. 2:9). The false prophet, mentioned in Revelation 13:11-18, will also have power to do all the miracles of the first beast. Yes, the whole world is being set up to believe that all miracles are from God. Satan has used miracles and false wonders to deceive those who would follow him in all generations. He has used weeping idols, weeping icons (pictures) and all types of deception. Trust God. Study His word until you can prove everything and trust His words. You cannot put your trust in men and what they tell you. Instead, you must prove everything by God’s word. You should do it because God said you should (1 Thess. 5:21). PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • Being Wholehearted in Your Walk | WHOLE WHEAT

Being Wholehearted in Your Walk Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for you are only passing this way once, and you might as well give it your best shot. This is the idea, stated in modern terminology, that Solomon was trying to get across in Ecclesiastes 9:10. It is also a godly trait. Our Creator wants us to be wholehearted, or have singleness of heart in everything we do. He wants us to be single-minded, with one purpose. So, whatever your hand finds to do, seriously, do it with your whole heart, knowing that it pleases your Creator when you put your brother’s welfare first, before your own. Do all that you do in the name of Christ, as all disciples of Jesus Christ are commanded to do. Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. Ephesians 6:5 (NIV) The eye is the lamp of the body; so then if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light. • Learning How to Overcome Evil | WHOLE WHEAT

Learning How to Overcome Evil Are you trying to be a good person? Are you trying not to drink too much, swear, smoke or overeat? Are you trying to stop thinking filthy thoughts? Is there some other bad habit you are trying to control? Do you ever catch yourself doing something good to cover up something bad you just did? Do you give to this or that fund from time to time so you can say that you are not all bad? Do you have some good days and some bad days, but things are looking down more than they are looking up for you? Well, maybe you are going about it the wrong way. Maybe you are going at it your way instead of God’s Way. You cannot overcome evil by avoiding evil. You might be able to subdue it for a while, but evil will eventually win in most cases. You must overcome evil by doing good for God daily. You must make sure that you are not doing your good to be noticed by others. Instead, you must do all that you do in secret, and in the name of Jesus Christ, for the glory of the Father. Continue being zealous in doing good for God every day. Continue in the godly process of overcoming your nature until Christ has been formed in you and you are a new creature. You will be made complete and perfect by God the Father, the same as Jesus Christ, our example, was made perfect. Depart from evil and do good, so you will abide forever. Psalm 37:27 Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be noticed by them; otherwise you have no reward with your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 6:1 For, the one who desires life, to love and see good days, must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit.11 He must turn away from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it. 1 Peter 3:10-11 Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered. 9 And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation. • How to Make a Convert for Christ | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Make a Convert for Christ In order to make a convert for Christ, one must follow the directions of Jesus Christ and His word. Would you agree? Does Jesus tell us to go door to door and ask people if they know where they are going when they die, and then proceed to tell them that they are going to hell if they don’t repent? Jesus’ instructions to us, from His word, are quite the opposite to what most people might think. Jesus says that before we can convert someone to Christ, we must first be converted to Christ ourselves. We must be fully trained as disciples or pupils of Christ; then we will be like our teacher (Luke 6:40). In order to be taught by our teacher, we must walk as He walks or live like He lives (1 John 2:6). We must first clean up our own lives to be impeccable examples of Christ for others and thus, show them the Way. If we try to bring others to Christ without first becoming converted, Christ calls us hypocrites (Luke 6:41-42). Jesus shouts from His word to those who call themselves Christians today, “Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ (using my name all the time) and do not do what I say?” Jesus wants us to act on His word, not just talk about it (Luke 6:46-47). We are to show our love to others by our deeds, not words (1 John 3:18-19). We are to convert our loved ones without a word. Without a word! How? By your behavior (1 Peter 3:1). How is this done? Study to show yourself approved to God. Unless you study, God will consider you unapproved (2 Tim. 2:15—KJV). Then, in all things, show yourself to be an example of good works (Titus 2:7). Put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience, bearing with one another and forgiving one another (Col. 3:12-13). God wants you to learn to love the unlovable, like He loved you before you began living for Him daily. Love your spouse. Serve your spouse. Spend time with your spouse and enjoy life with your loved one, all the days of your fleeting life which God has given you under the sun (Eccl. 9:9, Eph. 5:22-33). Do not allow yourself to hold hard feelings against them and if you are angry with them, do not allow the sun to go down before you resolve your anger (Col. 3:18-19; Eph. 4:26-27). Do not argue at all, because this is breaking God’s command about repaying evil for evil or insult with insult. Be considerate and treat your spouse as a human and not as a child. Remember, you cannot change them. That’s God’s business and you are not minding your own business if you try. Pray to God and ask God to work with your spouse. Do not try to “lord it over them” or oppress them in any way. They have one Lord over them, and you might be getting in His Way. Remember, you cannot change them and for that matter, you can’t change yourself. Only God can change a person and He never made a nature He couldn’t change or crush (Rom. 16:20). Crushing our evil nature requires your cooperation though. You must live a repentant life by serving others daily for God (1 Cor. 3:7). This is what allows God to create a new nature in you so that you become a new creature or creation and have Christ’s nature formed in you (Gal. 4:19; 6:15). That is when you are made complete (2 Cor. 13:9, 11). Finally then, pray to God that perhaps God may grant those you care about repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth so they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil (2 Tim. 2:25-26). These are God’s directions and they work! Try following them! PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • How to Enter God's Rest | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Enter God's Rest "For the one who has entered Jesus Christ’s rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His. Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall through following the same example of disobedience" (Heb. 4:10-11). Let’s examine the facts stated in these verses. There is a godly rest that we are to enter. We enter it by resting from all our works. We must be diligent to enter that rest. We enter God’s rest when we cease from all our works of lawlessness (1 John 3:4). Works of lawlessness are the things we do when we live to the flesh. We must put these deeds of the flesh to death (Rom. 8:13; Gal. 5:16). How do we do this? By living to the Spirit! Jesus Christ said living to the Spirit, instead of to the flesh, is easy (Matt. 11:30). All we need to do is obey Him by imitating His behavior and the Father’s (1 Cor. 11:1; Eph. 5:1). What did Jesus do? How did He do it? He kept the works of the Father exclusively. The good works He did were done in the Father’s name and in so doing, He glorified the Father (Matt. 5:16; John 10:25). He overcame the world by overcoming His nature (John 16:33). Jesus Christ was made perfect (Heb. 5:9). We also must strive to do the works of God (Luke 13:24). We must persevere and be zealous in doing the works of the Father (Rom. 2:6-7; Luke 21:19). We are commanded not to get weary in doing good works (Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13; 1 Cor. 15:58). In fact, Jesus said many of us would do greater works than He did because He had to go to the Father (John 14:12). You might ask, "What shall we do, that we may work the works of the Father?" That is a legitimate question and it was asked of Christ in John 6:28. The works of the Father make up the Will of God (1 John 2:17; Matt. 7:21). God’s Will consists of any acts of righteousness done for God’s glory (Col. 3:17). You could keep your appearance up for God. Love your mate for God. Teach your children about God’s Ways, showing them that they receive a reward from God for each thing they do in His name (Matt. 6:1; Eph. 6:1-2, 7-8). Respect God’s name. Do not use it in profanity a day longer, because those who do are His enemies (Psalm 139:20). The more you do for God, the more He will do for you (Mark 4:24; Mal. 3:10; Luke 6:38; 2 Cor. 9:6). When all you sow is righteousness, then everything you reap will be a blessing! You will have entered God’s kingdom, which is within your new heart (Luke 17:21). You will have forced your way into the kingdom of heaven by disciplining yourself to do God’s Will (Luke 16:16). You will have overcome your old nature by being zealous for good works – Christ’s works (1 Peter 3:13; Rev. 2:26). You will have rested from all your works because you are only doing God’s works now. You will have entered God’s rest. PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • The Importance of Studying Your Bible | WHOLE WHEAT

The Importance of Studying Your Bible Part of the Will of God is to study the Bible. Many who study the Bible, study for information rather than correction. Disciples of Jesus Christ are admonished not to be foolish, but understand what the Will of God is. It appears that people who claim to be His disciples today are least informed about this aspect of spiritual and godly living. God’s word says that all Scripture is profitable for teaching, reproof, correction and training in how to practice righteousness, so that the man of God may know how to do good to please God. How many people have studied the life of Christ for many years, but have never started to live like Him? We are to imitate Jesus Christ and the Father by daily practicing the sayings of Jesus Christ. Jesus’ words will judge all humanity at the end of the age. The central teaching of the Bible is to engage in a life of good deeds, endure and not become weary in well-doing, and overcome our evil natures by doing good deeds. If this is the kind of peculiar people Christ is making for Himself—and He is—we should then be studying the Bible to train ourselves in righteousness. Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Ephesians 5:17 For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. Colossians 1:9 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ. 1 Corinthians 11:1 If anyone hears My sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day. John 12:47-48 And having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. 19 I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, resulting in further lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness, resulting in sanctification. Romans 6:18-19 Who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds. • The Quality of Your Spiritual Life | WHOLE WHEAT

The Quality of Your Spiritual Life First of all, God created mankind on this earth to seek Him, find Him and obey Him. He did this so mankind could live a peaceful long life—full of abundance and every good thing. All the Lord God wants man to do is to do what is right (do well) to please Him, so man would feel good about himself. God has given us examples in His word of those who obeyed Him and were blessed and those who disobeyed Him and were cursed. God used certain men called prophets to write what He told them to write, as well as speak what He commanded them to speak. It was the same message over and over again to mankind—practice righteousness and practice justice toward your fellow man, and thus do your neighbor no harm but only good. Is this too much for God to ask of us, considering eternal life is also connected to this beautiful Way of righteousness? Jesus was zealous for good deeds towards others. If you do not learn to imitate Him by keeping His words and by being zealous for good deeds towards others too, then you deny Him in your daily life. We were created for good works, just as we were created to fulfill Scripture, but we must be careful to fulfill the Scriptures of the righteous by keeping Jesus’ words and putting them into action in our daily walk with Him. This is most definitely the good life and God’s true message to mankind! If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and its desire is for you, but you must master it. Genesis 4:7 For John came to you in the way of righteousness and you did not believe him; but the tax collectors and prostitutes did believe him; and you, seeing this, did not even feel remorse afterward so as to believe him. Matthew 21:32 They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good deed. Titus 1:16 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. • Suffering | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Suffering When you decided to stop living to the flesh and started to live to the Spirit by practicing righteousness to please God every day, things started happening to you that you may not understand (Rom. 8:13; 1 John 3:7; Matt. 5:16). The Apostle Peter says not to be surprised at the fiery ordeal that comes upon you for your testing. Do not think that some strange thing is happening to you. Instead, remember that you share in the sufferings of Christ. Keep on rejoicing so at the revelation of His glory, you may rejoice with great enthusiasm (1 Peter 4:12-13; Gal. 4:19). Look what is happening to you! "After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you" (1 Peter 5:10). You are being made complete in Christ (2 Cor. 13:9, 11). You are being made into a new creation (Gal. 6:15). God can do great things through our suffering, as He did all throughout the Bible. It is a unique way He works with us, teaches us and stimulates us in our conversion. Yes, we need endurance so that when we have done the Will of God - which is practicing righteousness - we may receive what is promised – a brand new nature created in us by God Himself (Heb. 10:36). We are told not to get weary in well-doing when we are practicing righteousness because that is how we allow God to form that new nature in us (Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13; Titus 3:8, 14; 2:7). Now you can begin to see why the Scripture tells us to consider how to stimulate, provoke or encourage one another to more love and more good deeds or works (Heb. 10:24). Doing good works is how you put on Christ (Rom. 13:14). It is how you abide in Christ (John 15:5). It is how you imitate Christ and the Father (1 Cor. 11:1; Eph. 5:1). Doing good works is how you put your old nature to death (Rev. 2:26). Doing good works for God’s glory is the way to crush your old, Satanic nature under your heel (Rom. 16:20). Yes, we must suffer to enter the kingdom within, but it is only momentary light affliction (Phil. 1:29; Rom. 8:17; Luke 17:21, KJV; Acts 14:22; 2 Cor. 4:17). By doing the Will of the Father daily, we come out of the captivity of Satan and put his will to death in our bodies (1 John 2:17; Heb. 10:36; Matt. 7:21; 2 Tim. 2:26). So let's understand suffering and know that God is working with us, making us perfect by perfecting Jesus Christ ‘s nature within us (Heb. 12:1-15, 23; Matt. 5:48; Gal. 4:19; 1 John 2:6). • How Can a Wife Do God’s Will? | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How Can a Wife Do God’s Will? Jesus wants you to commit your words and your actions to God the Father, and to do all that you do in His name (Col. 3:17). How can a wife do this? There is so much a woman of God, and wife, can do for God each day. To begin with, a woman can keep her home clean and neat for God to be a good example to others, as well as to her husband, always ready to serve. She can dress nicely and put herself together each day so that she will look pleasant for her husband, be a good example to her children and others, for God, as much of the time as possible. She could invite the blind or the elderly over for dinner and fulfill Luke 14:13 for God. She could plan nutritious meals for her family for God. She could plan a garage sale to raise extra money with which to do good for God. She might clean an elderly person’s home for God or bring them flowers to cheer them up. She can encourage other's in God's Ways, by calling someone she knows is down and lifting them up, being a compassionate and understanding friend, stimulating them to more love and good deeds. She can continually be a good example wherever she goes by always being kind and thoughtful to those around her, putting the needs of others before her own, for the glory of God. She can make time to study the Bible, to show herself approved, so that she might always be prepared with a good answer to those who ask her to give an account of the hope in her. She could show her husband love, for God, by doing something out of the ordinary for him. If he doesn’t notice, that’s all right because she is doing it for God and He always notices everything we do for Him. He even writes it down in a book (Rev. 20:12). He blesses us even for the little things we do for His glory in Christ’s name (Col. 3:17; Matt. 10:42). But as Paul says, this is something we must learn to do (Titus 3:14). If we start doing good every day for God, at the end of 30 days we will be doing much better than we were the day we started (1 Tim. 5:10). It is important to start to produce good fruit for God so He can start to bless us more (Col. 1:10). We will begin to see our personality change as we conform to godliness (1 Tim. 6:3). We are to imitate God in what we say and do, so we can be more like Jesus Christ (Eph. 5:1; 1 Peter 4:11; 1 John 3:18). This allows God to crush Satan under our feet and reveal His nature in us (Rom. 16:20; Gal. 4:19). Thank you, Father in heaven, for making Your Way so pleasant and such a rewarding way to live (Matt. 11:28-30; John 11:26). • The Lord's Supper | WHOLE WHEAT

Simple and easy instructions that guide you through how to have a Lord's Supper in honor of Jesus Christ with written instruction and audio/video to follow. THE LORD'S SUPPER Please be sure to read through the entire page first so you understand all that is involved before you begin. Throughout Scripture, Jesus Christ taught the disciples to observe the Lord’s Supper. 1 Corinthians 11, starting in verse 23, tells us how to observe the Lord’s Supper and why. He tells us we are to do this in remembrance of Him until His return in verses 25 and 26. It is indeed a very special and solemn occasion of remembering Jesus Christ and the sacrifice He made for us. As today’s disciples, we are to honor the Lord using this example He gave us. This is a very serious and solemn occasion and there is much to consider. As a result, we strongly suggest doing this on your own, or with your immediate family only, if you are all baptized and living by the truth of God’s word. Be sure to watch the first video: The Lord’s Supper; Examining Your Spiritual Walk, which talks about how to know if you are ready and what is involved in the Lord’s Supper. It also talks about, and explains, the very serious Scriptures for taking the Lord’s Supper in an unworthy manner.* Examine the Scriptures and all the videos below, and if necessary, take time out to pray before proceeding. Learn more about what is involved in living the truth of God’s word here. Learn more about baptism here. Note: If you have a family member not baptized, they can most certainly participate in the dinner and foot-washing portion, without taking the bread and wine, and simply observe for the purpose of learning what it is all about. The first video below is to help you examine your spiritual walk in preparation for the Lord’s Supper: HAVING A LORD'S SUPPER ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURE: Items you will need: Your Bible Red Wine A loaf of bread Optional: Grape Juice (for baptized children under age) Preparation 1. Take a small portion of the wine you have purchased and place it in a separate container, setting it aside. Once you're ready to set up for the Lord’s Supper, pour a tiny amount, a sip’s worth or say a teaspoon, in a small cup for each person. If it is just for you, then pour a teaspoon, or a sip, in a single cup. It is only proper that whatever wine is left over, in the separate container, should be disposed of. 2. Set aside some bread beforehand, as you would the wine. Break off a portion of the bread roughly as much as you think you will need. Place it in a basket, or on a tray or plate, that you will use to pass around. Tear the bread in small bite size portions. If you are doing this on your own then simply tear a single bite-size piece and set it aside on a plate. Again, if your doing this with your immediate family and there is leftover bread from the portion you broke off, after you have enough pieces for everyone, then it should be disposed of. Note: The bread and wine do not have to be prayed over at this time. The Supper 3. Now, time for a nice dinner first. In Scripture, they sat down and had dinner together first. This is a special occasion as you come before the Lord, so dress nicely and bring out the good dishes. Keep the meal simple and no alcohol should be served, except for the wine used for the Lord’s Supper, served with the bread. This is a solemn occasion and the focus should be on the Lord and the Scriptures you are participating in. Note: It’s also a good idea to save cleaning up until after everything is finished so things can move along in succession, and it won’t be a distraction or diversion. The Bread and Wine Before taking the bread and wine, listen to the video explanation of the bread and wine Scriptures and/or go through the Scriptures below the video, if you like, on your own. Have your Bible open and follow along with the video as they are being explained. If you are doing this with anyone in your immediate family then be sure they are following along as well. THE BREAD AND WINE The Scriptures below are on the bread and wine, please notice the general explanation that follows each Scripture reference: 4. Read 1 Cor. 11:23-30 – Paul’s directions on the Lord’s Supper that he received from Christ. A. Read 1 Cor. 15:8; Acts 18:9,10; 22:14, Gal 1:11,12. Paul received training from the Lord who appeared to him and taught him directly. B. Read 1 Cor. 11:23; Paul received his instructions on the Lord’s Supper directly from the Lord after he was resurrected. C. Read 1 Cor. 11:30; Many people were weak, sick and asleep (dead) after taking the Lord’s Supper. Many people today do not think that God would make people sick. See Rev. 2:23 and see what God does. D. Read 1 Cor. 11:27; These people were sick because they were taking the cup in an unworthy manner. An unworthy manner would be if you were not overcoming, studying your Bible or living the life as Jesus Christ told you to, if you were not interested in making all your ways God’s Ways. These would be examples of taking the Lord’s Supper in an unworthy manner. Note: If anyone in your family, that is baptized, feels that they should not partake of the bread and the wine, because they feel that they would be taking it in an unworthy manner, they can simply pass on the bread and wine when it comes around. Also, the person does not need to explain to anyone, nor should anyone ask, or pass judgment, on the person. This person most certainly can participate in the dinner and the foot-washing portion, as can anyone in your family that is not baptized yet, for the purposes of learning what it is all about. Taking of the Bread and Wine A. Pass the bread around. Ask your family to wait to partake until you have prayed. B. This is an example of what could be said before taking the bread: We will be partaking of the bread, which represents the body of Jesus Christ. He suffered and gave His life that we might live by the example He gave us, living a new life and getting rid of our old life, with inwardness and selfishness. We are to come out of that way of life, to a new glorious way of life by being decent and upright people, charitable, loving and giving. That is why we take the bread, in remembrance of what He did and how He showed us to live. These are the words that He received from the Father to give to us. C. Say a short prayer over the bread thanking God, and then partake of the bread. D. Now, pass the wine around. Again, ask your family members to hold on to their wine until you have prayed. E. Read 1 Cor. 11:25,26. (The Scripture instructs us to do this until He comes at the end of the age.) F. Pray over the wine and then partake of the wine. The Scriptural Example of Foot-Washing Items you will need: Your Bible Water basin(s) Paper Towels Liquid soap Listen to the video below and/or go through the Scriptures that follow the video before beginning the foot-washing, so you understand the purpose of washing one another’s feet according to Scripture. If you don’t have a family member to wash feet with, you can simply go through the Scriptures and read about the example in the Bible on your own. FOOT WASHING The Scriptures below are on foot-washing, please notice the general explanation that follows each Scripture reference: 5. Read John 13:4-17; Jesus taught that washing one another’s feet is an act of humility and servant hood. A. Verse 8 – Peter was self-righteous and haughty. He was saying, “Never will you wash my feet, I’m too good for that.” If you are self-righteous it will come out in the foot washing. This Scripture was to show how humble we must become to be God’s servant. B. Jesus said to Peter, “If I do not wash your feet then I will have nothing to do with you.” This means that Peter would lose his salvation. He was headed for the Lake of Fire. C. Verse 9 – Peter was thinking, “If that is the case then wash my whole body.” D. Verse 10 – Jesus explained it was only necessary to wash the feet. E. Verse 12-16 – Jesus said, “If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet." F. Verse 17 – You will be blessed if you do these things. God wants us to live a holy way of life (1 Peter 1:15-16). Without holiness no one will see the Lord (Heb. 12:14). When you live a righteous and holy way of life, God considers you holy (1 John 2:29). 7. Now for the foot washing. Have chairs and water basins in accordance with the number of people in your family. Fill the basins with lukewarm water. Have one of the two partners sit on a chair, while the other partner is kneeling before the basin where their partner will put their feet to be washed. Wash the foot gently with water, no soap and pat dry with paper towels. Empty the used basin and wash with soap and water, then refill with clean water for the second person. Do not allow water to go from person to person for reasons of hygiene and be sure to wash your hands after you have finished. Note: Again, save clean up until after you have finished the last step below. They sang a hymn after dinner... 8. Read Mark 14:26 - They sang a hymn to close out the dinner. Below is a full version of our original gospel song Thank You Lord. The words will grace the screen so you can sing along: THANK YOU LORD MUSIC VIDEO You have completed the Lords Supper according to God’s Word. * Please understand, this Lord’s Supper page is simply a guide to the Scriptural examples in the Bible and the example that Jesus Christ gave us to follow. • How to Receive the Abundant Life | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Receive the Abundant Life Jesus Christ came with good news. It was good news about the abundant life, and how to qualify for the kingdom of heaven (John 10:10; Luke 8:1; 2 Thess. 1:5). He came to show and to tell us how to live this Way of life. He said a child would have no trouble understanding or living this Way (Matt. 18:3). To further demonstrate the simplicity of this Way of life, He said sinners of the worst sort and people who were considered fools, weak-minded or lowly would have no trouble living this simple, pure, godly way of life (Matt. 21:31; 11:25; 1 Cor. 1:26-29). One simply needs the attitude and willingness of an obedient child to a loving Father to start living this Way of life (1 John 3:7, 10; Luke 18:17). What is this Way? It’s called the Way of righteousness (Matt. 21:32; Acts 18:25-26; 19:9, 23; 22:4; 24:14, 22). It is the Way to live righteously and blamelessly before God (Phil. 1:10; 1 Cor. 1:8; Psalm 18:30). A person lives this Way by learning to practice righteousness and by doing good deeds for others and those in need (1 John 3:7, 18-19). Doing our good deeds in Jesus Christ’s name, for the reason of glorifying God in heaven, is showing Him we really love Him (Col. 3:17; Matt. 5:16; 1 John 5:3). When we imitate the Way He lives in heaven, His Will is done instead of ours (Eph. 5:1). If we live just to please Him, He lives just to please us (Heb. 13:21). Living to please the Lord daily by doing good toward others is living by the Spirit, who is God (Gal. 5:16-17, 25). Satan has control of our old nature, or our flesh, but when we begin living to please God by living to the Spirit, Satan loses control. When we practice righteousness for God, we stop carrying out the evil thoughts and desires of the flesh. By committing our ways—our thoughts, words and deeds—to the Lord, we are putting to death the deeds of the flesh and overcoming our old nature (Gal. 6:15; Rom. 8:13). Then, if we endure and don’t grow weary in doing good deeds, we will allow Jesus Christ to put our old nature under our feet, weakened and crushed (Heb. 10:36; 1 Peter 5:10; Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13; Rom. 16:20; 2 Tim. 2:26). When we cease from all works of the flesh, we will enter the Lord’s rest (Heb. 4:10). We will then enter the abundant life, which the Lord has waiting for all who put Him first in their lives by turning from their wicked ways (1 Thess. 3:8; Rev. 22:11; Acts 3:26). • Dealing With Resentement | WHOLE WHEAT

Dealing With Resentement Resentment is a very treacherous thing. It is dangerous because it builds so slowly, we often are not even aware of its presence. Resentment kills people, destroys marriages, causes misunderstandings between friends, and is an enemy of all happiness. It can be present in almost every situation in life. Resentment actually eats us alive. It devours us from the inside out. It causes sleepless nights, worry, frustration, anxiety and stress. Some people eat more, craving for some pleasures in life, something to soothe a troubled mind. Life sometimes becomes a living hell. The apostle Paul said, "I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against my mind, making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in the members of my body. Oh, wretched person that I am, who will set me free from this body of death? Thanks be to God, through our Lord Jesus Christ. So on the one hand I am serving the law of God, while at the same time I am living in my sinful body. But there is no condemnation for those who live to please their Lord Jesus Christ.” Did Jesus carry resentment in His heart for those who killed Him? No! He overcame resentment with pure love. “Forgive them, Father, for they do not know what they are doing,” He said. Destroy resentment by giving it no place in your life! Start now. If you don’t, it will destroy you. It has already harmed you, but you didn’t realize it before. Now you know what to do about it. Forgive everyone all the time; and be like Jesus Christ, our example. But I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members. 24 Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death? 25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin. Romans 7:23-25 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1 But Jesus was saying, “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.” Luke 23:34 PREV NEXT Click below for full Bible Study: Resentment

  • God’s Message to Mankind | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search God’s Message to Mankind First of all, God created mankind on this earth to seek Him, find Him and obey Him. He did this so mankind could live a peaceful long life—full of abundance and every good thing. All the Lord God wants man to do is to do what is right (do well) to please Him, so man would feel good about himself (Gen. 4:7). Is this too much for God to ask of us, considering eternal life is also connected to this beautiful Way of righteousness (Matt. 21:32; 2 Peter 2:21; Prov. 12:28)? This information was to be conveyed to mankind so God could determine who would obey Him. God wanted to know, and thus distinguish between the righteous and the wicked, the sheep and the goats, the wheat and the tares (Mal. 3:18; Matt. 25:33, 41, 46). The Lord wanted mankind to learn righteousness by practicing righteousness one to the other daily (Is. 1:16-17; Titus 3:14). Practice being a good person toward others daily by showing kindness, goodness, gentleness, charity, compassion and patience (Gal. 5:22-23). This is how a person imitates God daily, walks with God daily and keeps God’s Ways daily (Eph. 5:1). God’s Ways are all righteous (Psalm 145:17). He wants us to make all our ways righteous too. This is how one does God’s Will daily on earth as it is being done by God in heaven (Matt. 6:10). Jesus came to show us “the Way” we should live daily to please the Father and thus, be a friend of God like Abraham was (James 2:22-23). Abraham perfected his faith by doing good works. Everything Jesus saw the Father do, He did faithfully to be our living example of the right way to live (John 5:19). Everything that Jesus heard the Father say, He conveyed to us without adding to it or deleting from it—Jesus knew all of mankind would be judged by His words in the last day (John 12:48-50). He also knew these were the exact directions—not only to eternal life, but also for how man could get rid of his wicked ways and overcome them so God could bless him (Acts 3:26). God wants us to be good children and obey our Father by continually doing good towards others like Jesus Christ our example (Acts 10:38). Dorcas was also a good example (Acts 9:36). This message of righteousness is one of the world’s greatest mysteries, because this is how God wants you to repent daily (1 Tim. 3:16). You repent daily by keeping Jesus’ words. If you do this, you will receive eternal life and never see death, says Jesus Himself in John 8:51. Then keeping Jesus’ words and putting them into daily practice in our lives is how we do God’s Will on earth as it is being done in heaven (Matt. 6:10). This is required of those who desire to enter the kingdom of God, and as a result of practicing righteousness, “live forever” (Matt. 7:21; 1 John 2:17). This is not known by many or lived by many who say they know the Lord today (Luke 6:46). Jesus was zealous for good deeds towards others. If you do not learn to imitate Him by keeping His words and by being zealous for good deeds towards others too, then you deny Him in your daily life (Titus 1:16). We were created for good works, just as we were created to fulfill Scripture, but we must be careful to fulfill the Scriptures of the righteous by keeping Jesus’ words and putting them into action in our daily walk with Him (Eph. 2:10). This is most definitely the good life and God’s true message to mankind! • "You can't lose your salvation." | WHOLE WHEAT

"You can't lose your salvation." MISCONCEPTION: You cannot lose your salvation. THE TRUTH IS: God’s word continually admonishes His disciples to do what is right so they won’t fall away from the faith and lose their salvation (Rev. 2:5). In 2 Peter 2:21-22 it mentions that those who fall away from the “Way of righteousness” that Jesus lived would be like dogs going back to their own vomit. God’s word says if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, we are done for (Heb. 10:26-27). The goats mentioned in Matthew 25:41-46 knew to do good for God by serving others in need daily and keeping themselves from a life of sin, unstained by the world, but they heard this message of righteousness and wouldn’t obey it (James 1:27). They never became happy and blessed doers of God’s word, yet they were deluding themselves like so many today, thinking they were saved, when in fact, according to God’s word, they were not (James 1:22). Only the doers are blessed in this life and saved in the next (James 1:23-25; Rom. 2:6-8). The hearers, who know or have heard this truth and have been given ears to understand it but do not obey it, go where the goats go—the lake of fire (Matt. 25:41). Why would the example of Lot’s wife be in God’s word, if not to warn followers of Jesus Christ of their fate, should they turn back to the ways of the world or the ways of the flesh (Luke 9:62; 17:32-33)? Jesus says that if His servant turns back to his old ways he will be cut in pieces, not saved (Matt. 24:50-51). It is amazing that such erroneous doctrines of men (like you cannot lose your salvation) can be taught and never questioned by the majority, who willingly remain deceived because they won’t study God’s word daily for the truth like the Bereans did (Acts 17:11). They are following man and not God and God’s word. In God’s word, it mentions that Jesus’ true followers tested those who called themselves ministers, and found many to be liars (Rev. 2:2). We need to follow this example by knowing God’s word. • How Do We Enter the Kingdom Within? | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search How Do We Enter the Kingdom Within? The Pharisees (religious leaders) and scribes (lawyers) of Jesus’ day knew God was going to send His kingdom to this earth, but they denied it was a spiritual kingdom (Luke 17:21). Jesus told the Pharisees that because they were practicing righteousness for hypocritical reasons, they were not entering the kingdom of God. They were not overcoming Satan, but giving in to him. They were not receiving a new godly nature themselves, and because they were not, they were hindering those who were trying to enter it (Matt. 23:13). They had taken away the key to the knowledge of how to enter the kingdom of heaven. Jesus told them several times what they were lacking in their message—justice, mercy and faithfulness (Matt. 23:23; 12:7; 9:13; Luke 11:52). But they refused to listen and understand this mystery (Matt. 13:11). So, Jesus gave the keys of knowledge on how to enter the kingdom of God to Peter and the other disciples (Matt. 16:19). He told them they must practice justice, mercy and faithfulness (Rom. 2:7 Psalm 106:3). He said they must study God’s word, understand what the Will of God is, and do it, in order to become disciples of the kingdom (Matt 13:52; Eph. 5:17; 2 Tim 2:15). Jesus said, the kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed (Luke 17:20-21). Instead, it is inside you. It is a pleasant way of life (Matt. 11:30). It is entered by practicing righteousness (Rom. 14:17). But you must force your way into it (Luke 16:16; 13:24). You can become a sheep or you can remain a goat (Matt. 25:33-46). The choice is yours. • Pleasing the Father | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Pleasing the Father Jesus always did things that pleased the Father (John 8:29). He did this by constantly doing the Father’s Will instead of His own (John 6:38). He was constantly doing righteousness in regard to all His deeds (Psalm 145:17). He gave money to the poor (John 13:29). He helped those who had no helper. He gave money to people, expecting nothing in return (Luke 6:35). He was constantly giving and doing good for the Father and, as a result, He never gave in to temptation (Luke 6:38; 1 Peter 3:13; Matt. 4:10). Jesus was overcoming by doing good (Rev. 3:21). Jesus told people they should repent and live the righteous life by glorifying the Father with good works and thus, be lights and examples to others (Matt. 5:16; Titus 2:14). He loved His enemies and proved it by doing good to them (Matt. 5:44). By living to please only God in His life and by doing God’s Will instead of His own, He showed us how to be perfect (Matt. 5:48). Jesus did so many acts of kindness, it would be impossible to record all the good things He did (John 21:25). Jesus glorified the Father, while He was here on earth, by doing His Father’s Will as it is done in heaven (John 7:17; 17:4; Matt. 6:10). By performing these acts of kindness, Jesus overcame His fleshly nature (Rom. 8:3; 12:21; John 16:33). He was made perfect because He was involved in the perfection process - the process God gave Jesus Christ, to show people how easily it could be done (Heb. 5:9; 12:23; John 5:19; Matt. 11:29-30). It had to be easy and pleasant because God is not calling many who are wise, but the lowly (1 Cor. 1:26-27). Yes, where there is a will, there is a way. Now you know the Will, so now you know the Way. Follow the example of Jesus Christ and overcome (Eph. 5:1). • Your Only Protection is Righteousness | WHOLE WHEAT

wholewheatonline.com Search Your Only Protection is Righteousness In Isaiah 3:10 it states, “Say to the righteous that all will go well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their own actions.” In the past, if there were ten righteous people in a town, the Lord would spare the whole city (Gen. 18:32). Noah was the only one righteous in his day, and God spared his family too (Gen. 7:1). Job was the only one on the earth in his day who lived for God and walked with God by serving others, and thus, he was turning away from evil by doing so (Job 1:8; 2:3; 29:12-17). In the Prophet Jeremiah’s day, God said to him, “Roam back and forth through the streets of Jerusalem to see if you can find one person who is seeking Me by seeking the truth [My word] by being just [charitable] in all his ways towards his neighbor [others] and who is only living to do good to others, and I will pardon the whole city of Jerusalem” (Jer. 5:1). Today the Lord’s policy is; we will deliver only ourselves by our righteousness, as Noah, Job and Daniel did in Ezekiel 14:13-20. Say to the righteous that all will go well with them in those days, for they shall eat the fruit of their actions (Is. 3:10). When you personally walk with God daily, by keeping His Ways, you are very special in God’s eyes and He hears your prayers. This is because you show Him respect daily, by doing His Will by serving others (Psalm 4:3; John 9:31). The Lord will make you prosper(Psalm 1:3). God will not forsake those who seek Him, by doing good daily to please Him (Psalm 9:10; Rom. 3:10-12). Jesus only lived to do good by being a servant to others. He did this to please the Father. He only lived to do the Father’s Will, which is doing good and helping others. Jesus was imitating the Way the Father lived in heaven. He was zealous for what was good (1 Peter 3:13). He came to make disciples who would purify their lives before Him, by being zealous for what is good (Titus 2:14). Jesus, then, let His light shine before others daily by doing good works, and He glorified the Father in heaven by doing so (Matt. 5:16). He instructed all who would follow Him to do the same daily by continually living a life of practicing righteousness (Matt. 6:1). This is the Lord’s true gospel that was once delivered to the saints (Jude 3). In the Way of righteousness there is life, and in that path there is no death (Prov. 12:28). The righteous are not only protected but also blessed (Psalm 5:12; 34:17-19). God is their strength in times of trouble (Psalm 37:3-5). Righteousness, then, delivers you from death (Prov. 11:4-15). God tells you plainly in Zephaniah 2:3 to seek Him by doing good daily to please Him. Seek or learn God’s righteousness—seek or learn to live humbly before God. Why? Perhaps you will be hidden in the day of the Lord’s anger that is coming shortly (Luke 21:36 King James Version). You cannot prepare when it gets here, so now is the time to make all your ways pleasing in God’s sight and purify your life before Him daily, by being zealous for good deeds in all that you do (Col. 1:10; 3:17). Isn’t this what He would have you do? Remember always, your only protection from God’s wrath is your righteousness, so never become lukewarm or weary in doing good (Rev. 3:15; 2 Thess. 3:13; Gal. 6:9; 1 Tim. 2:10; 2 Tim. 2:12). Then you will have the seal of God on your forehead (Rev. 9:4; 7:3). PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED All About the Bible PDF MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME © 2025 Whole Wheat International
