  • Make Your Ways Straight | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Make Your Ways Straight There are many different expressions in the Bible instructing believers to walk with singleness of mind, singleness of eye or singleness of heart. Hebrews 12:13 commands, "Make straight paths for your feet." Making straight paths for your feet is walking in righteousness at all times - continually. To always walk in righteousness is to always please the Lord. To always please the Lord we must constantly remember to please Him with our thoughts, words and deeds (Col. 1:10). We must refrain from sin and engage in those things that are good, edifying, honorable and profitable for others (Titus 3:8). Walking with singleness of mind and heart is being intent on serving and pleasing only God (Matt. 6:24). He is number one in your life, in your heart and in your mind. You must make Him number one in your actions. Psalm 106:3 says, "How blessed are those who practice righteousness at all times." God will do good to those who are good, but you cannot be good unless you do good for God daily, in secret (Psalm 125:4; 37:27; Matt: 5:16). You must not do your good because you want people to know of the good you do for others (Matt. 6:1). To make your ways straight, then, please the Lord in all you do. Seek God by doing good to please Him. Turn away from a life of sin to a life of righteousness (Rom. 12:21). This is the way of peace (Luke 1:79). It is also the way to prosperity, blessings, answered prayer, joy and every good thing (Prov. 13:21; 1 John 3:22; Heb. 13:21). So do not deprive yourself of the good life with the free gift of eternal life that comes from living a godly life. It is the life Jesus Christ lived, and He came to show us how easy and pleasant it is (Matt. 11:30). You will soon be a new you, if to His Ways you remain true (Gal. 6:15; Col. 3:10, 12-17). • A Faith That Works | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search A Faith That Works Doctors practice their profession daily to become successful doctors. Baseball players practice their profession daily to become successful baseball players. Many times we see people jogging along the side of the road disciplining themselves for sports or for good health (1 Cor. 9:24-25). How many people discipline themselves for the purpose of godliness (1 Tim. 4:7; 6:3; Titus 1:1)? How many people try to learn what is pleasing to the Lord (Eph. 5:10)? How many force their bodies to behave (1 Cor. 9:26-27)? How many are imitating Jesus Christ daily (1 Cor. 11:1)? How many Christians are practicing their profession daily? Did Jesus Christ have a working faith or a faith with no works (James 2:14, 17-18, 22, 24, 26)? Did His faith work for Him and was He able to overcome the world because of it (John 16:33; Rev. 3:21)? Yes, Jesus had a faith with good works, and not just a few (John 14:12; 21:25; Luke 24:19). He practiced what He preached. He overcame the pulls of the flesh so He could be an example to the world of how it was done (Heb. 2:17-18; 4:15; 5:8-9; 1 Cor. 10:13; James 1:13-14). If Jesus had been married and had children, you had better believe His wife would have been in loving subjection and His children would have been well behaved. His message would not be believable if this were not so (1 Tim. 3:4). How could He teach others about God, if He failed to teach His own family? Yes, Jesus’ gospel worked for those who believed it and put it into practice because it had good works! • Rehabilitation | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Rehabilitation Many people do not stop to realize that the Bible is a handbook on rehabilitation. When He was living here on earth, Jesus Christ was calling all kinds of sinners to repentance and teaching them how to change their way of life to one that pleases God (Matt. 9:13; 1 Cor. 6:9-10). Zaccheus was one of these people. He was a chief tax collector for the Roman government (Luke 19:1-9). Christ always mentioned tax collectors right along with harlots. Zacchaeus stole a great deal of money and became rich by doing so. How did Zaccheus repent? He gave half of his possessions to the poor and made fourfold restitution to those he had cheated. Zacchaeus began practicing righteousness. He was truly getting involved with a life of good works and thus, leaving behind a life of bad works. Don’t you think he glorified God in heaven by those good works, and didn’t his light begin to shine (Matt. 5:16)? Zacchaeus must have understood what Jesus meant when He said to repent because Jesus said, "Today salvation has come to this house." Other thieves were also told to stop stealing and get an honest job so they could do good with their money and share it with others who had a need (Eph. 4:28). God’s policy on repentance includes practicing righteousness and honesty for God (Ezek. 33:13-16). John the Baptist told people how to do good for repentance (Luke 3:10-11; Matt. 21:32; 2 Peter 2:21). Yes, practicing righteousness toward others is how you prove to God that you are repentant (Acts 26:20; 1 John 3:7, 10). It is how you bring forth good fruits, which are good works, on your spiritual tree (Matt. 3:10; Luke 3:8; Col. 1:10). Keep doing God’s Will, which is righteousness, until God makes it come from your heart (Eph. 6:6; Matt. 5:20; Gal. 4:19; Rom. 16:20). The Lord is the only one who can rehabilitate a person. He is the only one who can grant you repentance (2 Tim. 2:25-26). PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME All About the Bible PDF © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • Two Kinds of Meditation | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Two Kinds of Meditation Meditation according to the Bible “How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law, he meditates day and night” (Psalm 1:1-2). Wouldn’t it be fantastic if everyone loved his neighbor? Wouldn’t it be great if everyone did good to each other instead of harm? Wouldn’t it be great if no one stole, lied or cheated other people? Wouldn’t it be great if we lived in a world without locks, keys and combinations to remember? That world is coming for those who care about righteousness and who care about others. Think about it. Meditate on these things and other good things in God’s word. This is meditation according to God’s word (Psalm 1:2-3; Psalm 119:15; Phil. 4:8). In order to properly understand meditation, we should know its definition. Webster’s Dictionary, 1937 edition, defines the word “meditation” as follows: 1) Act of meditating thought, especially close or continued thought; turning or revolving of a subject in the mind. 2) A private religious or devotional exercise; consideration of some religious or moral truth, in order to promote personal holiness and love of God (Psalm 77:12; 119:15, 23, 27, 48, 78; 143:5; 145:5; Heb. 12:3 AMP). There is another meditation that is deceiving the world. Those who practice this type of meditation are naïve and gullible. If those who practice this type of meditation only knew the secrets of what they are not being told, they would stop immediately because they would realize they are being tricked and deceived by those who are deceived themselves or else know the truth and aren’t telling it (2 Cor. 4:2; Eph. 4:14). Worldly meditation In Revelation 12:3 God’s word says, “And another sign appeared in heaven: and behold, a great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and on his head were seven diadems.” This great red dragon who was thrown down is that serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan (Rev. 12:9). Satan is called the god with a thousand names who comes in a thousand different forms. One of his forms is that of the red dragon. Very few realize that the great red dragon is worshiped by those who meditate in Eastern or New Age style meditation. Let us uncover the religious lie in the raising of the kundalini. In the book Kundalini and the Third Eye, authors Earlyne C. Chaney and William L. Messick discuss kundalini (chapter three, page 20). They say arousing and raising kundalini is perfectly natural since kundalini is already a part of your natural being. As long as it remains coiled at the base of the spine, it becomes the down-flowing serpent, “the red dragon” [this is Satan] stimulating the reproductive organs toward the natural sex cycle. The authors go on to say that meditation seems to be the safest, the surest and the shortest pathway to God realization. The lower chakra at the base of the spine is called the kundalini chakra. Kundalini means coiled snake or serpent. It is also called the sex chakra. You can raise this serpent power by sitting in the lotus position and chanting a mantra. The lotus position is said to help you reach your root chakra and red energy. The mantra most used is that of O.M. or A.U.M. This is considered the mother of all mantras. This word should not be repeated. Very few people know the full meaning of that mantra. Very few people know that this word calls their god, Satan, into their presence. Satan is worshiped in his many different forms or by his many different names through this mantra. By meditation and using the mantra O.M. one can raise this serpent power called the “red dragon” until he or she (the initiate) becomes, according to Kundalini and the Third Eye, p. 21, the Nagas, the true and perfect Serpent. Oxford Language dictionary states the Nagas is a member of a semidivine race, part human, part cobra. What you are not being told is that you will be totally overcome with Satan’s nature. You will become an adept, a full initiate of Satan. Webster’s New International Dictionary of the English Language, 1910 edition, page 1173, says, “Jupiter Optimus Maximus, often written Jupiter O.M.; best and greatest.” Jupiter is another name for Satan with his secret initials O.M., which happens to be his mantra. He is the god of secret societies throughout the world, as well as many major religions of the world—which are pagan. Chanting O.M. is meant to bring you into a trance like state so you can join the universal mind. And using namaste is saying, “ I bow to the god within you” again, this is not referring to our Lord Jesus Christ. When the Israelites were taken out of Egypt and brought into the promised land, they were told not to imitate other nations in regard to the way they worshiped their gods (Deut. 12:30). Those nations had done every abomination imaginable in their form of worship to their gods (Deut. 12:31). Satan’s religion is referred to as the “Old Religion” and old it is. It started in the Garden of Eden and resulted in the world being destroyed by God in a flood when it polluted the planet with its teachings. They really aren’t new teachings, but very old. Satan is worshiped in sexual orgies and other debaucheries. This brings up another type of meditation—sexual meditation. For reasons of decency we cannot go into detail. Suffice it to say that in the past, God Almighty destroyed such mighty nations as Egypt, Greece and Rome, as well as Sodom and Gomorrah, for having orgies and practicing sexual meditation (1 Cor 10:8; 2 Cor. 12:21; 1 Thess. 4:3). What awaits a person who is raising the kundalini through deadly meditation? Let’s quote from Kundalini and the Third Eye. First, the initiate feels a warm or hot sensation at the bottom of his or her spine. The body becomes cold and corpse-like. Then the person begins to shudder, tremble or rock violently and hears strange sounds. He sees various lights, including an inner light. He may experience ego inflation, rampant sexual desires and a host of other ills. Yogis stress that the body must be properly attuned for kundalini through practicing yoga, and that a premature or explosive awakening can cause insanity or even death! According to Harper’s Encyclopedia of Mystical Paranormal Experience page 320, symptoms include involuntary jerking, or spasmodic body movements, or postures with pain, unusual breathing patterns, paralysis, tickling, itching, vibrating sensations, inner sounds such as roaring, whistling, or chirping. Read in Isaiah 8:19 about wizards who whisper and mutter. People do not realize that they are becoming fully possessed by the devil. The words whisper and mutter are translated as chirp, twitter, whisper or peep (like a bird) (6850 Strong’s Concordance), and moan, growl, utter or meditate (1897 Strong’s Concordance). Continuing in Harper’s Encyclopedia of Mystical Paranormal Experience page 320 says, those who practice yoga may suffer from insomnia, unusual or extreme emotions (emotional instability), intensified sex drive, distortions of thought processes, inability to think clearly, out-of-body experiences. The article says these bad symptoms can be alleviated by the introduction of a heavier diet and temporary cessation from meditation (p. 321). Let’s say it in plain language. These horrible conditions will stop if you put red meat (heavier diet) into your diet and stop meditating and practicing yoga! Being a vegetarian weakens your system and makes it easier for you to be possessed by demons, and this secret is kept from those using Eastern style meditation and yoga (Rom. 14:2). The word yoga is derived from the Sanskrit root yuj, meaning “to yoke,” or “to unite”. The practice aims to create union between body, mind and spirit, as well as between the individual self and universal consciousness. Who are you uniting with? It is certainly not God (Deut. 8:19; Eph. 5:6). All yoga stems from Eastern religion. Everything, about the practice of yoga and meditation, invites the wrong god to possess your body, mind and consciousness. Conclusion Harper’s Encyclopedia an account of a man called Gopi Krishna (1903-1984) is given on page 321. This man meditated every morning for three hours for seventeen years. On Christmas Day in 1937, he had an explosive roaring kundalini. This man was then plunged into twelve years of misery with the agonies of the mentally afflicted. It goes on to say that scientific research about kundalini remains in the infant stage hampered by its unpredictability. Another difficulty is the similarity of it to mental disturbances or stress. There you have it. If yoga and meditation were drugs with these negative side effects, it would never be allowed on the market. People do not want you to know the truth and that you will eventually be totally possessed by Satan, the great red dragon, as well as by other demons. You will receive god-consciousness, but it will be the wrong god, the god of this world, Satan the deceiver. Satan has religiously deceived the whole world into worshiping him and keeping his doctrines (Rev. 12:9). God’s word says if you live for self and practice the deeds of the flesh, you will die (John 8:24; Rom. 6:2). But if through God’s Spirit you are putting to death the evil deeds of the flesh by not giving in to them, and if you resist Satan daily by doing good for others, you will live forever (Rom. 8:13)! Overcoming evil by doing good for God is easy, pleasant, and fantastically rewarding. It is life-changing and it is how you glorify God on this earth and prove yourself to be a disciple of Jesus Christ (1 John 5:3 AMP; 1 John 2:14; John 15:8). As you can see, worldly meditation and yoga is not pleasing to God and does not honor Him in any way. By participating in these things, you are worshipping the god of this world, Satan (Matt. 4:10). And don’t be fooled by those who are slapping the name Christian on these practices to try and make them acceptable (Col. 2:8; Mark 7:8). There are clear differences between what God’s Word says on the subject and what the world is promoting: Godly meditation: -Fills your mind with Scripture and God’s Word -Promotes thinking and reflecting on God’s laws and precepts -Turning or revolving a godly subject in the mind -Thinking on the truth to promote the love of God and further holiness -Directs your mind toward God -Is a personal and individual practice of worship -Honors God (Josh. 1:7-9 AMP) Worldly meditation: -Empties your mind -Uses a mantra and hand signals that call to Satan -Uses the seated lotus position to help you connect to your root chakra and red energy -Rooted in pagan practices and eastern religion -Directs your mind to self -Can arouse sexual organs -Can cause physical and mental illness -Is a personal and/or group practice that worships the red god, Satan -Honors the god of this world, Satan (Rev. 12:9) God has asked us to separate ourselves from the world, not to join in (2 Cor. 6:17; John 15:19; 1 John 2:15 AMP). So many are participating in meditation and yoga with no true insight to what they are doing, and who they are actually worshipping by doing so (2 Cor. 11:3). We can clearly see that ignorance is not bliss. Educate yourself, and don’t be fooled, if you desire to honor God. You will be glad you did. "You automatically do good / righteousness" MISCONCEPTION: When you accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and believe in Him, you will just automatically do these works of righteousness as a result of your belief or faith. THE TRUTH IS: The Apostle Paul instructed his ministers to constantly remind people to engage in a life of doing good works for God (Titus 3:8), and this is something they would have to learn to do (Titus 3:14; Is. 1:16-20). The very reason God instructed His people to get together is to provoke one another to more love and good deeds (Heb. 10:24). The word provoke here means to go against your nature. The Apostle Paul had to discipline himself daily for the purpose of godliness so he wouldn’t be a hypocrite (1 Cor. 9:27; 1 Tim. 4:7). Does this sound like it comes naturally, or was the Apostle Paul fighting the good fight of faith by fighting his evil human nature and resisting Satan daily (1 Tim. 1:18)? • The Truth About Heaven and Hell | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search The Truth About Heaven and Hell We have been taught from the time we were little children that the good people go to heaven and the wicked people go to hell. Those who go to heaven when they die are rejoined with loved ones. This teaching means we will never die. We have been told that hell is terrible, a place of eternal torment. There is fire there and people in hell burn forever and never die. The devil and his angels are there to torment those in hell day and night forever and ever. Hence, they never really die, but continue to live on and on and on. Some have claimed there is a spiritual prison in which all the dead are held under bondage until judgment. This, too, is a doctrine teaching that we will never die. It is a spiritual lie that cannot be proven true by the holy word of God. What does the God of the Bible say? Does the spirit live on after death? The word of God says, “The soul that sinneth, it shall die” (Ezek. 18:20). Yes, the soul can die. We are also instructed not to fear those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul. Instead, we are told to fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell (Matt. 10:28). So now we can see that souls can be killed by God. The Bible calls this the second death (Rev. 20:14; 21:8). People are subtly persuaded to believe they don’t really die. They are told they return to their angelic state when they die. Many who have fallen for this lie remain ignorant of God’s word. What does God’s true word say about what happens when you die? Your death is a sleep. All will be resurrected in the end. Did you hear? In the end! You do not go to heaven when you die. You sleep! Your spirit returns to God who gave it, but so does the sparrow’s spirit (Eccl. 12:7). God takes His Spirit away and you return to the dust. He sends forth His Spirit and you come alive again (Psalm 104:29-30; Ezek. 37:4-14). You cannot praise God in the grave because you cannot speak. God, who is true, says, in the very day you die, your thoughts perish (Eccl. 9:5, 10). The death of people is the same as animals ( Eccl. 3:19-20). So a man lies down and dies and does not rise until the heavens be no more (Job 14:12). The dead do not rise until when? Until the heavens be no more. That’s at the end of the age, at the return of Jesus Christ. The dead people will not rise nor be aroused out of their sleep. Job said he was going to wait in the grave until God called him and gave him a new body at the time of the resurrection (Job 14:14-15). When a man’s spirit departs, the word of God says, he returns to the earth, and in that very day, his thoughts perish. Do you believe God’s word (Psalm 146:4; 112:10)? The dead do not praise the Lord, nor do any who go down to silence (Psalm 115:17). At one point in time the dead are symbolically given white robes and told to rest for a little while longer (Rev. 6:9-10). This indicates they are resting now. These words are not cleverly devised tales (2 Peter 1:16). Jesus says that an hour is coming when all who are in the graves—not in heaven—shall hear His voice, and those who did the good works shall come forth to a resurrection of life (John 5:28-29; Rom. 2:7). Even King David, a man after God’s own heart, did not ascend to heaven (Acts 2:34). He is still in the grave, just as Jesus Christ said (Acts 2:29). No man has ascended to heaven. Now, Jesus wouldn’t lie, would He (John 3:13)? Only those who persevere in doing good will receive immortality or eternal life (Rom. 2:7). The Truth About Hell When Jesus Christ returns, He will create a lake of fire, which will be located in Jerusalem (Is. 31:9). The location could very well be in the valley of Gehenna, which is now a public park. The word Gehenna means hell. The first customer of the lake of fire will be the beast who has masqueraded as the returned Christ and given himself all the titles of Christ. This is the one whom the whole world will worship before Jesus Christ returns to the earth (Rev. 13:8). The second customer will be a man who made a statue in the likeness of this false christ and required everyone in the world to fall down and worship that statue or be put to death (Rev. 13:11-17). This religious deception is caused by God. All those who refuse the message of God’s simple truth so as to be saved will believe the false christ (2 Thess. 2:10-12; Rev. 17:17). Then, anyone who is not found in the book of eternal life will be cast into that same fire started by Jesus Christ at His return (Rev. 20:12-15). All whose deeds were righteous before God will be spared (Matt. 18:35; 15:8). But all whose deeds remained wicked and unrepentant will be destroyed, including those who do not practice righteousness for God or love their brother (1 John 3:10). They will be burned at the end of the age in the lake of fire and as they are burned, they will weep and gnash their teeth (Matt. 13:40-42). They will be totally destroyed forever—destroyed never to return again (Rev. 21:8; 2 Peter 3:7). They will be set ablaze and turned to ashes (Mal. 4:1-3). Remember, the word death means cessation of life or end. Eternal punishment is the end of spiritual life—the second death (Matt. 25:46). Satan will also be thrown into the lake of fire at a later time. “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever” (Rev. 20:10—Notice, in many translations of the Bible, the word “are” is substituted for the original word “were”—past tense). The expression day and night forever is an extravagant way of saying for good, or forever. When trying to understand hell, many people are confused about the parable of Lazarus and the rich man. This was a parable—a riddle, an example—not an actuality. The rich man was being slowly burned with fire and was very thirsty. Lazarus was immortal. Now, since the rich man was mortal, there was a bridge between them. Lazarus was spiritual and the rich man was flesh. That bridge could not be crossed over by Lazarus (Luke 16:24). This parable emphasizes the importance of living for God now, while we have the opportunity. There is no second chance. The Truth About Heaven People believe their loved ones have gone to heaven already. What about Moses and Elijah in Matthew 17:4? That was a vision (Matt. 17:9). What about Paul? He didn’t know how he ascended, so how could you (2 Cor. 12:2)? He said only God knew what happened. It could have been a vision. What about Enoch? God took His Spirit out of Enoch’s body. Then God put Enoch’s spirit to sleep until the resurrection (Heb. 11:5). Remember, Jesus Christ was the first born of many brethren (Rom. 8:29; 1 Cor. 15:23). It is appointed once for all men to die, then comes the judgment (Heb. 9:27). Enoch is waiting to be born again (Heb. 11:39-40). God hid Enoch’s body, just as He hid Moses’ body, so men couldn’t build a building over it and use it to their advantage to further their own religions. The devil wanted Moses’ body to further his religious deception on this earth, and he argued with Michael for it (Jude 9). But God hid it from sight on Mount Nebo about 80 miles west of Jerusalem. What about Elijah? Approximately 12 years after Elijah was taken up in a chariot, he sent a letter to King Jehoram of Israel (2 Chron. 21:12-15). Remember, there are no thoughts in the grave, so if he died he could not have written the letter (Psalm 6:5). Elijah was still alive, but living elsewhere on this earth. He went into retirement. When Jesus was crucified, He died. If he didn’t die, then He lied. And if He died according to the Scripture, which cannot be broken, he had no thoughts in the grave. He went to sleep for three days and three nights. Jesus did not preach to the dead spirits of mortal men in prison. He had no thoughts in the grave. First Peter 3:18-19 says nothing about Jesus Christ preaching to somebody while He was in the grave. He had plenty of time to do that after He was resurrected and had a spiritual body. Incidentally, the “spirits now in prison” were the fallen angels of Jude 6, not dead humans. People in the churches have been lied to and most refuse to study their Bibles and ask God to show them His truth. They are afraid they might have to give up some cherished belief. They would rather put their trust in some man, even though the word of God continually warns them not to do that (Psalm 146:3; Is. 2:22). The Bible is not a private interpretation, but men from all ages have been moved by the Holy Spirit to write the words of God (2 Peter 1:20-21). God places a special curse on anyone who tampers with His words (Rev. 22:19). True disciples of Jesus Christ are warned not to be uninformed about those who are asleep (1 Thess. 4:13-17; 5:10). God does not want us to grieve, thinking we have no hope. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the trumpet of God. And those who died in Jesus Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Have you heard something different? Behold, I tell you a mystery, we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed in a moment in the twinkling of an eye (1 Cor. 15:51). When? At the last trumpet. When does the Bible say the last trumpet is (Rev. 11:15)? The trumpet will sound and the dead in Christ will be raised imperishable and we will be changed (1 Cor. 15:52). Many who profess to be followers of Christ are far removed from God’s true form of spiritual worship (John 4:24; Rom. 12:1; James 1:27; Psalm 37:27). The spiritual leaders of this world are leading people astray (Is. 3:12). Preachers are preaching on their own authority. God says He did not send them (Jer. 23:1, 11, 13-22). People love their false ministers, but what will they do in the end (2 Tim. 4:3-4; Jer 5:31)? We are admonished to prove all things by God’s word and to believe in only those things that can withstand the sure test of those Scriptures (2 Tim. 2:15). By knowing these truths, at least you have a choice about whether to stay deceived or not. Read your Bible and come out of religious deception once and for all! Seek the truth and it will set you free from being religiously misled (John 8:32). The Lord is with you when you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him. But if you forsake Him, He will forsake you forever (1 Chron. 28:9). PREV NEXT 3 SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED MORE BIBLE STUDIES PODCASTS HOME All About the Bible PDF © 2025 Whole Wheat International

  • How to Be a Bond Servant for Christ | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Be a Bond Servant for Christ Jesus Christ took on the form of a bond servant, leaving us an example that we should be like He is (Phil. 2:7; 1 John 2:6). By doing so, He did not live to please Himself, seeking His own good, but He sought the good of His neighbor (Rom. 15:3; 1 Cor. 10:24). We are also to imitate Christ by practicing righteousness to please the Father (1 Cor. 11:1; Eph. 5:1; 1 John 3:7). We are no longer living to please self, but Jesus Christ (2 Cor. 5:15). Jesus says we should serve others in need, as He was a servant to others in need (Matt. 20:26-28; Mark 10:43-45). Jesus bore our sins that we might die to sin by living to righteousness (1 Peter 2:24). This can also be said another way. Overcome evil by doing good and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts (Rom. 12:21; 13:14). Whoever keeps Christ’s words or sayings, by walking in the same manner as Jesus Christ walked, will be truly perfected (1 John 2:5-6). Jesus Christ’s sayings, which He received from God, are not burdensome (1 John 5:3; John 12:49). In fact, Jesus said that His Way is easy and His load is light or pleasant (Matt. 11:30). It is the Way to give rest to our weary souls (Matt. 11:28-29). It is the Way to the abundant life (John 10:10). Yes, we are to use our bodies as slaves to righteousness (Rom. 6:13, 18-19). Another word for bond servant is slave-servant. It is the bond servants who will serve God in His temple when He returns (Rev. 22:3). So, engage in good deeds for God today by showing hospitality to strangers and practicing righteousness (Titus 2:14; 1 Tim. 5:10; Rom. 12:13). Entertain the lowly, the crippled, the lame and the blind (Luke 14:13; Matt. 5:16). By doing so, we shall assure our hearts before Jesus Christ and be bond servants for Him (1 John 3:18-19). • Baby Baptism | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Baby Baptism Jesus told His apostles to teach people to observe all that He commanded them. “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you…” (Matt. 28:19-20). How can you teach a baby? How can you make a disciple out of a newborn baby? Can you instruct a newborn how to walk in Christ (Col. 2:6)? Can you instruct a newborn in the doctrine that conforms one to godliness? Jesus was about 30 years old when He was baptized. Children are blameless in God’s eyes (Matt. 18:10). It is not the will of the Father that one little child should perish (Matt. 18:14). When Jesus was a child, He didn’t know enough to refuse evil and choose good (Is. 7:14-16). Did that make Jesus evil and sinful in His youth? Of course not. How can you be a sinner when you don’t even know any better? It is only when you’ve heard and fully understood the true message of overcoming and how easy it is to do that you are no longer in ignorance. From that point on you have no excuse for your sin (John 15:22). You have counted the cost, which a baby or a child cannot do. There is no example of baby, or child, baptism in the Bible. There is no command to baptize babies. This tradition started with men and it means less than nothing to God (Mark 7:8; Col. 2:8). Please, don’t remain foolish, but understand what the perfect will of God really is (Eph. 5:17). Study your Bible—don’t just read it. People will give you pamphlets, articles and books written by men telling you what they want you to believe the Bible says. Don’t believe them. Let only God’s word teach you as you live to please Him daily (2 Tim. 2:7; 1 John 2:27). • Faith Without Works is Dead | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Faith Without Works is Dead Faith without works is dead (James 2:26). Sure enough, the faith that Jesus expects of His true followers includes good works, as He Himself gave us example to do (John 10:32). Jesus even stated that many of His followers would do greater works than He did (John 14:12). Remember also that God in heaven is glorified by good works done for repentance, spiritual growth and blessings, and this is how true disciples let their lights shine before others (Matt. 5:16). Doing good works is how we imitate Jesus Christ, and how we overcome evil. It is the key that allows Jesus to reside in us and live His life through us in the form of the Holy Spirit (John 14:23). God’s Will in heaven is good works of love and charity (Matt. 6:10). It’s certainly not bad works. A life of good works is the life true followers are called to live (Eph. 2:10). We are not saved by good works, but we repent by doing good for God in Jesus Christ’s name (Acts 26:20; Col. 3:17). No one can deny that. What kind of good works should we do? Keep up our personal appearance and hygiene for God so that we can be godly examples to others (Titus 2:7-8). Keep our homes or apartments neat and clean for God to be good examples to others when we entertain or show hospitality (Luke 14:13). Help or do good to an orphan or a widow for God (James 1:27). These are just some of the many examples we can find in the Bible. Practice doing good continually for others for God. Perform deeds of kindness, deeds of charity, and deeds of good will, like Jesus left us example to do. If we are constantly concerned about doing good for God, then we are leaving a life of evil behind (Job 1:1). By not giving ourselves a moment to do what is evil, we can overcome evil by doing good so we will abide forever (Psalm 37:27; Rom. 12:21; 1 Peter 3:10-11; 3 John 11). When we are zealous for good works, we purify our lives before God, and our faith is not dead but alive in righteousness (Titus 2:14; James 2:14, 26; Heb. 10:20; Rom. 6:18; 8:10; 1 Peter 2:24). • Put No Confidence in the Flesh | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Put No Confidence in the Flesh The Apostle Paul knew that there was no good thing in him (Rom. 7:18-19). Even Jesus knew that no one is good but God alone (Luke 18:19). Jesus was not just saying that to show how humble He was; He meant it! Jesus was mighty in deeds and words in the sight of God. He always did things that were pleasing to God, and He did them in His Father’s name rather than for His own glory (John 21:25; 10:25; 8:29; Luke 24:19; Acts 10:38). Christ was raised from the dead because He lived to glorify the Father with good works (Rom. 6:4; John 5:29). Jesus glorified the Father while He was on earth and He was gentle and humble in heart (Matt. 11:29; John 17:4). Today, God is making the same kind of people - people who are zealous for good works (Titus 2:14). We purify ourselves from every lawless deed and overcome our evil natures by keeping Jesus Christ’s works (Rev. 2:26). Jesus even said we would do greater works than He did (John 14:12). Those who put confidence in the flesh are those who think they are not such bad people. The good they do puffs them up and fortifies the assumption that they are good people. On the other hand, Jesus and Paul both knew that no matter how much good they did while in the flesh, it would not make them good people (Luke 18:19; Rom. 7:15-21). That is why the good they did was to glorify the Father and not self. They lived to glorify the Spirit (which is God), not the flesh. Think about this. Can you think of any other way of overcoming evil other than by doing good? If you did good to glorify self, would that not then be evil? Instead of seeking your own good, the Lord wants you to seek the good of your neighbor, as a happy slave of Christ, doing the Will of God from the heart (1 Cor. 10:24; Col. 3:17; Eph. 6:6). If you empty yourself and take on the form of a servant as Christ did, you will have perfect peace and you will be giving that which is within as charity (Phil. 2:7; Matt. 20:26-28; 23:11; Mark 9:35; 10:43-45; Luke 11:41). Why? Because a servant of Christ knows that if he only serves his Master, his Master will take care of all his needs and will also glorify him with eternal life. • Charity the Hidden Gospel | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search Charity the Hidden Gospel Jesus taught the complete message of God in parable form many times throughout His ministry. He said He would open His mouth in parables and reveal information that has been hidden from man since the foundation of the world (Matt. 13:35). He spoke in mysteries because salvation was not being granted to everyone, only to those who were chosen and called by the Father (John 15:16; 13:18; Rev. 17:14). It was only granted to those given ears to hear, and eyes to see and understand the simple message of salvation (John 6:44, 65; 3:9-12). One mysterious parable about the kingdom that describes how to be made anew through conversion to God is found in Luke, chapter 11. Jesus said to a Pharisee, “Give that which is within as charity, and then all things are clean for you” (Luke 11:41). God’s word says that one who has perfect love does no harm to another person, but only good. The word charity is used often in God’s word, but it has been replaced by the word love. By substituting the word charity for love, we may better understand what Jesus said to the Pharisee in parable form (Prov. 10:12). When you use your mouth as an instrument of unrighteousness by swearing, cursing or talking foolishly, you are not walking charitably with your neighbor or fellow man. When you help a widow or orphan in need, you are practicing charity before God (James 1:27). When all areas of your life are charitable toward others, you have been perfected in love. You have overcome the evil one (1 John 2:13-14). You have become spiritually perfect or mature (Matt. 5:48). Jesus told the Pharisee the message of how to overcome in parable form so he would not understand it. However, He privately explained the parables He used to His own disciples (Mark 4:33-34). The parable revealed how to repent, how to be a new creature, and how to be obedient to God. The phrase, “then all things will be clean for you,” means that all areas of your life will be in harmony with God’s Will when you have been perfected in charity. You will be clean, with sins forgiven (1 Peter 4:8). God the Father has been calling a few people from every age to be His followers. They imitate Him and keep His Ways (Eph. 5:1; 1 Cor. 11:1). In Elijah’s day, there were 7,000 (1 Kings 19:14-18). In Noah’s day, there was just one (Gen. 7:1). During the last days, which we have now entered, there will be the great final harvest. Many will be called to a life of holiness, but few will heed the call. Many are called but few are chosen (Matt. 22:14). Out of all who heed the call to holiness through overcoming, only those who endure to the end will be saved (Rev. 2:26; Matt. 24:13; 10:22; 2 Tim. 2:12). So by all means, continually give that which is within to charity by continuing to perform good works of love toward all others until you have Jesus Christ’s new nature formed within you (Gal. 4:19). As you continually practice righteousness for God, you will enter the kingdom within, which is true godly conversion (1 John 2:29; Matt. 5:20; Luke 17:21). • God’s Marriage Laws of Love | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search God’s Marriage Laws of Love Colossians 3:18-19 Below is a list of God’s rules for a blessed marriage relationship: 1. Husbands are to love their wives and are not to allow themselves to harbor any hard feelings against them (Eph. 5:28-29). 2. Wives are to be in loving subjection to their husbands, because the Lord says they should for their own good (Eph. 5:22). 3. Married couples are not to deny one another (deny the needs of each other), because when they do, Satan can tempt them (1 Cor. 7:3, 5). 4. Do not repay evil for evil by arguing with one another, but seek peace and pursue it earnestly (Prov. 20:22; 1 Peter 3:11-12). 5. Never let the sun go down on your wrath by going to bed angry with one another by (Eph. 4:26). 6. Forgive one another daily (seventy times seven), so the Lord can continue to forgive you (Matt. 18:21-22). 7. Learn to serve one another daily so that you will be pleasing not only to the Lord, but to your mate as well (Mark 9:35; Rom. 15:2-3). 8. Let your charity for each other (kindness and love) shine so bright that others will imitate your godly example of love (Matt. 5:16). 9. The family that prays together stays together. Pray together each night for others, as well as for your own needs. Whenever two are in agreement with one another, it will be so (Matt. 18:19). If you follow these marriage laws of love, God can then teach you to love one another (1 Thess. 4:9; 2 Thess. 1:3). Then God will protect you from the evil one, Satan, who will try to destroy your marriage (2 Thess. 3:3). Remember always—through love, serve one another (Gal. 5:13). Walk by these spiritual laws and you will not carry out the evil desires of the flesh (Gal. 5:16, 24). Your marriage will be blessed and you will be pleasing to God (Eph. 5:10). • How to Serve God | Bible Studies

wholewheatonline.com Search How to Serve God If you live your personal life to please God in all aspects, you are worshiping the Lord and serving Him only (Matt. 4:10). If you are no longer living to please self but to serve others, you have become like Christ (Rom. 15:2-3). If you are putting other people’s interests and needs before your own, if you are more concerned about others than yourself, if you are the last to be served, you have Christ’s nature formed in you (Gal. 4:19). Living to please self is selfish. Living to please others is selfless or unselfish. Jesus came to show us how to overcome evil by doing good for the glory of the Father (Rom. 12:21; Col. 3:17). He came to show us how to be servants of others and how to practice selflessness instead of selfishness. He said the greatest among us will be those who serve the most (Matt. 23:11). This theme is prominent throughout the New Testament (Matt. 20:26-28; 25:40; Mark 9:35; 10:43-45; Luke 8:21; 1 Cor. 10:24). Loving God is serving God. Serving God is worshiping God. Praising God is thanking God, being specific about the things for which we are praising Him. Webster’s Dictionary defines praise to God as the act of glorifying God with song or other acts of service. We can sing praises to God by singing songs that tell what great things God does for us (Eph. 5:19). We can praise Him with our mouths by being ready always to give a good answer to others as to why we live the way we do for God (1 Peter 3:15). We can praise Him with our mouths by not gossiping or speaking evil of others, and by not swearing or using vulgar language (1 Peter 4:11). Yet few people know refraining from swearing is worshiping and praising God. We are to worship God by pleasing Him in all respects. That is how we praise His name. Confessing our faults to one another is worshiping God. We can worship or glorify God by the way we dress, or we can serve the devil by the way we dress. We can worship, glorify or praise God by the way we think or we can worship Satan by the way we think. Can we please God by being happy? We can please God just by having a good day for His glory (Matt. 5:16). Can we have a good day if it isn’t a day lived to please God? Of course not. It is God’s word that shows us the Way to have a good day. Are you really concerned about what God thinks in every area of your life? How many of your old ways are you holding on to? Are you coming short of entering the kingdom (Rom. 3:23)? Are you pressing on and continuing to force your way into the kingdom of God (Luke 16:16)? The Israelites were not able to enter because of disobedience (Heb. 3:19; 4:1-3, 6, 11). Are you seeking God by doing good to please Him? Serving God and seeking God, praising and worshiping God, pleasing God, living for God, walking like God, talking like God and imitating God—by imitating Jesus Christ’s Way of life (Eph. 5:1; 1 Cor. 11:1)—is the answer to the eternal riddle of the mystery of God. It is how to be a doer of the word of God (James 1:22; Luke 8:21; 6:46). Closely observe how Abraham and his nephew, Lot lived (Gen. 17:1-2; 18:19; 19:1-3). Study the eternal message given by the prophets of old from God. All God ever wanted from His creation was for everyone to keep His Ways by practicing acts of righteousness one to another. He only wants people to serve Him by practicing acts of kindness, charity, mercy, compassion, honesty and justice (Micah 6:8; Deut. 10:12-13, 17-20). He wants us to live at peace with all men as much as is possible, and in so doing, serve Him (Heb. 12:14; 1 Peter 3:11-12).
