Are You an Obedient Disciple of Jesus Christ?

Disciple comes from the word "discipline," and to be a true follower of Jesus Christ, one must be a self-disciplinarian.  The following list of questions will help you identify where you are at in your walk with God and how you are doing in your conversion process.  If you have a good attitude, and you desire to strive to do what is right, this questionnaire will be of great value to you.  If you have any other attitude, that too will be revealed.  Use the key below for answering the following questions and circle the appropriate answer following the question.  Let's begin.

1. Do you study to show yourself approved ℹ️ (2 Tim. 2:15)?   Y N S

 

2. Do you honor the Lord with the first of all you earn and set that amount aside and do good with it (Prov. 3:9)?   Y N S

 

3. Do you, or have you ever, loaned money to others not expecting to get it back (Luke 6:35)?  Y N S

 

4. Do you give money to others by picking up the tab at a restaurant, using the money you have set aside to do good with (Luke 3:10-11)?   Y N S

13. Are you letting sin, or things that are offensive to others, continue to rule your life, refusing to do anything about it (Gal. 5:16-18)?   Y N S

15. Are you continually treating others with kindness and charity (1 Cor. 13:4-8, 13)?   Y N S

 

"Let him who means to love life and see good days refrain his lips from speaking guile.  And let him turn away from evil by doing good.  Let him seek peace and pursue it.  For the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and His ears attend to their prayers" (1 Peter 3:10-12).   But the face of the Lord is against the following people:

 

•           those who continue to do evil (1 Peter 3:10-12; John 5:29).

•           those who continue to live worldly (Jude 15-19).

•           those who continue to do wrong things (Col. 3:25).

•           those who continue to say wrong things (Eph. 4:29).

•           those who continue to think wrong things (Mark 7:21; Matt. 9:4).

•           those who continue to watch wrong things (Isa. 33:15) .

•           those who continue to listen to and hear wrong things—in music, TV, movies, jokes (Psalm 11:5).

•           those who continue to hold bitter feelings against others (James 4:11; Eph. 4:31).

•           those who continue to be unforgiving (Matt. 6:15).

•           those who continue to be unchangeable (Eph. 4:22-24).

•           those who continue to live undisciplined lives before God (2 Thess. 3:6-7; 1 Tim. 4:7).

•           those who continue to harden their hearts (Heb. 3:8-11).

•           those who continue to be lukewarm (Rev. 3:15-16).

•           those who discontinue being wholehearted for God (1 Chron. 28:9).

•           those who discontinue having God's interest in their daily thoughts and deeds (2 Cor. 5:9).

•           those who fall away (Heb. 3:12).

 

Are you going in the right direction (Ps. 32:8; Prov. 2:20; Isa. 48:17)?  Are you pleasing God daily by putting all your thoughts and deeds into subjection to Jesus Christ (John 8:29; Eph. 5:10; Heb. 13:21; 1 John 3:22)?
